MEGHAN TO RETURN? — Meghan Markle is reportedly ready to come back to Britain for the first time in four years… But there’s one major condition Harry is demanding first.

Meghan Markle is said to be planning a return to Britain this summer for the first time in four years – but only if security arrangements are approved for her and Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex, 44, is expected to join her husband at an Invictus Games event in Birmingham in July, amid ongoing discussions over whether the couple will be granted taxpayer funded protection while in the UK.

Her proposed visit comes as Harry awaits the outcome of a review into his security provision, following his long running battle to regain armed police protection when visiting Britain.

Meghan is understood to be hoping to attend a one-year countdown event for the Invictus Games on July 10, ahead of the 2027 Games in Birmingham.

The sporting event was founded by Harry to support wounded and injured service personnel and veterans.

She has previously joined Harry at similar one-year countdown ceremonies in Canada and Germany, and sources say she is keen to do the same in the UK – provided safety concerns are resolved.

It would mark Meghan’s first trip back to Britain since September 2022, when she attended Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.

Although official details of the Birmingham countdown celebrations have yet to be confirmed, ceremonial appearances involving the Sussexes are expected.

Harry spoke to their favourite US based magazine ‘People’ to talk about Invictus and the impact it has on people’s lives. Pictured: Harry and Meghan on stage at the welcome celebration of the Invictus Games last year

A source told the Sun: ‘Security is always going to be the deciding factor in this.’

Harry’s security arrangements are currently being reviewed by Ravec, a committee made up of police, royal and government experts.

The Duke has repeatedly said he does not believe it is safe to bring his family to the UK without adequate protection.

Plans are reportedly well advanced for Meghan to travel to the Midlands to support the event, but only if the review concludes in their favour. A decision is expected later this month.

It remains unclear whether the couple’s children would accompany them. Archie, six, and Lilibet, four, have not been in the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022, when there were scattered boos as Meghan arrived for a service at St Paul’s Cathedral.

The Invictus Games Foundation is preparing a series of promotional events in Birmingham this summer, with invitations already sent to representatives of countries due to compete.

Meghan has previously been a regular presence at such events. In February 2024, she joined Harry in Vancouver and Whistler to promote the following year’s Games, meeting competitors and attending training sessions, before returning for the Games themselves 12 months later.

She also attended the one-year countdown ceremony in Düsseldorf in September 2022, just days before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, while the couple were staying in Windsor.

Meghan later spoke about the strain of time away from her children during an episode of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan.

She said: ‘The longest I went without being around our kids was almost three weeks. I was not well.’

She did not attend the one-year countdown event for the 2019 Hague Games as it came shortly after Archie’s birth, but she did attend the Games themselves.

Meghan was also present at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto and travelled with Harry to Nigeria in 2024 in support of the foundation.

Meanwhile, Harry, 41, is said to be hoping his father, King Charles, will open the Birmingham Invictus Games in July 2027, although invitations have not yet been issued.

Harry lost his automatic right to armed police protection when he stepped back as a working royal in 2020 and moved to California.

He later lost a High Court challenge against the decision last May, branding it a ‘good old-fashioned establishment stitch-up’.

Sources close to the Sussexes have reportedly suggested it is ‘nailed on’ that the Government will now grant him armed guards following the latest review.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes have been approached for comment.

“HE NEEDS TO HEAR THE GRIEF AND TRAUMA HE INFLICTED…” James Bulger’s father issues a bombshell statement — and it could change everything

A month before his third birthday, little James was taken from a shopping centre and murdered in one of Britain’s most shocking crimes

IN the 32 years since Jon Venables was convicted of murdering James Bulger, the tragic tot’s dad has not heard the voice of the fiend who killed him.

But yesterday devastated Ralph Bulger vowed to attend Venables’ full parole review so he could hear the murderer speak again.

Ralph — who will urge justice chiefs to keep Venables behind bars — said the decision on Tuesday to grant Venables another full parole hearing was a “kick in the guts” for him and his family.

It means the case could even fall around the anniversary of tragic James’ abduction and murder — at the hands of Venables and accomplice Robert Thompson, both ten — on February 12, 1993.

Ralph, 59, and his ex-wife Denise Fergus, 57, have won the right to attend a parole hearing for the first time — but Venables, 43, will have his identity hidden and voice distorted due to an anonymity order.

However, in an exclusive interview, Ralph said: “I will stand at the hearing for my son James.

“For my enduring love for him, for justice for him and in defiance of Jon Venables.

“I know I won’t be in the same room as him. I know I won’t be able to see him.

“But I will hear him and, more importantly, he will hear me — and the devastating impact and pain he has caused to me and my family for 33 years.

‘Whole thing is just sheer agony’

“He needs to hear the grief and trauma he inflicted and be accountable for the terrible crimes he committed against my innocent baby son.

“I have fought for justice for James since the day he was murdered — and while I can’t do much, I can be there for him on the day.

“It’s the least James deserves, however painful it will be.”

Little James was a month from his third birthday when Venables and Thompson abducted him from a shopping centre in Bootle, Merseyside, before going on to torture and kill him.

Builder Ralph hoped the Parole Board would rule Venables — released in 2001 but twice recalled to jail for child sex abuse images offences — should stay behind bars without the need for a full hearing.

The hopes of James’s family were raised after delays in reviewing expert submissions from prison workers, psychiatrists and counsellors over Christmas and New Year.

But on Tuesday, officials informed Ralph and Denise in separate phone calls that it was deemed fair to give Venables another full review.

The decision comes despite the fact Venables was refused parole in December 2023 as he was not rehabilitated and still posed a danger, with experts noting he had “continuing issues of sexual pre-occupation”.

Ralph added: “The whole thing is just sheer agony.

I can’t bear the thought he will gain his freedom and hurt another child like my beautiful James.

    Ralph Bulger

“I had hoped his parole would be denied without a hearing but sadly that hasn’t happened.

“Instead, we have to reopen up excruciating old wounds over losing James.

“To compound the agony, every time Venables bids for freedom, it’s always around the time of James’s anniversary.

It feels like a huge kick in the guts. I’ve had sleepless nights for months now waiting to hear if he will go before the parole board.

“Once again the decision lands just as we are facing the dreaded day James was stolen from us.

“It feels like I can’t breathe some days. I won’t rest until I know this monster isn’t getting out any time soon.

“I can’t bear the thought he will gain his freedom and hurt another child like my beautiful James.

“He will kill again, and I’m filled with dread and fear if they let him out.”

Ralph spoke out after James’ mum told of her “anger” and “distress” over the hearing, which could see Venables back on the streets within weeks.

Denise said: “It is distressing and makes me angry that James’s killer will be afforded a chance of release.

“Surely this person has proved he cannot be given yet another chance.” Venables — held in a prison where the parole hearing is likely to be held — is eligible for a parole review every two years.

Ralph was refused the chance to attend Venables’ last hearing, with an official instead reading out his victim impact statement.

But Venables still refused to appear in person before a panel — even though the hearing was held in private to “protect his mental health”.

A date is yet to be set for the new hearing, and it could also coincide with what would have been James’s 36th birthday on March 16.

Grieving Ralph explained: “The not knowing is the worst part of all this.

“I just want to feel safe in the knowledge that he is kept locked up.

“This repeat cycle we keep going through every two years is hell. Rinse and repeat. Rinse and repeat. This grotesque trauma just constantly plays out in my mind.

“It just never goes away — but neither will I. I’m always going to campaign to keep James’s killer behind bars where he belongs.

“Prison food is all he deserves for the rest of his days.”

‘He knows how to hoodwink the best psychiatric minds’

At his last parole hearing, experts said that they doubted Venables was able to be open and honest with professionals.

Ralph added: “Two years ago when he last tried for parole, he was turned down because the panel said he was still a danger to the public.

“What’s changed? Nothing is the answer. He remains a predatory child sex killer. I’m begging the parole board to see sense and deny parole again.

“I took some relief in 2023 that the authorities finally saw what we have always known about Venables.

“He has lied and pulled the wool over the eyes of the establishment since day one.

Let’s not forget that, as a child, he was taught by the state to conceal his identity and lie. He knows what the system wants to hear and how to hoodwink even the best psychiatric minds

    Ralph Bulger

“He is a killer with a vile lust for children who can never be rehabilitated.

“He is a danger and a menace to society — but he’s a clever, manipulative operator who has fooled the parole board before.

“Let’s not forget that, as a child, he was taught by the state to conceal his identity and lie.

“He knows what the system wants to hear and how to hoodwink even the best psychiatric minds.

“The legal system is supposed to be there to protect the public but so often it works only in the interests of the perpetrators of the worst crimes. My son’s rights died with him before he could even reach his third birthday.

“But there are other children to protect now. The sooner the system accepts this and rules he can never be released, the safer the world will be.

“It terrifies me that one day they will let him back into society — but so long as I have breath in my body, I’ll do everything I can to stop that happening.

“I’ve said from day one that he can never be reformed because he is damaged and wired wrong in the head.

“If he is released, he will be moving into an unsuspecting community under a new false identity where he is free to molest and murder another child like James.

“My loved ones can never be safe if this killer is a free man.

“We know he is obsessed with his murder of James and equally obsessed with my family — and that makes us a target all over again.”

After snatching James, Venables and Thompson marched him more than two miles to a deserted railway line where they tortured and killed him before leaving his body on a track.

During their trial at Preston Crown Court, more than 20 hours of tape-recorded police interviews with the pair were played.

At the end of the 23-day trial, the vile duo were convicted of murder — but spent just eight years in secure units, which was the minimum recommended term.

They were then released on licence, with a draconian court ruling giving them lifelong anonymity.

But Venables was recalled to jail in 2010 for possessing child abuse images. He was freed but returned to prison again in 2017 for hoarding more images and possessing a “paedophile manual”.

He was also refused parole in 2020.

Ralph insists that Venables’ jail recalls should mean he is locked up forever.

Ralph said: “He’s had his chances and shown that the grotesque experiment to try and rehabilitate him has failed.

“It’s just warped and so very wrong.

“How many chances are they going to give him?

“It’s time to keep him locked up for good and throw away the key.

“Venables should never see daylight as a free man again.”

HEARTBREAKING FINAL GOODBYE: JASMINE HARMAN REVEALS DEVASTATING CANCER TRAGEDY!

A Place In The Sun favourite Jasmine Harman has revealed devastating news, announcing the loss of someone close to her following a long and painful cancer battle — with fans quickly rallying around the presenter in an outpouring of love and support.

The much-loved TV star, 49, shared the emotional update in a moving tribute, writing that “another beautiful soul has departed this earth.”

Hackney-born Jasmine has been candid in the past about her heartbreak after losing co-host Jonnie Irwin to cancer in February 2024 — and on Wednesday she once again fought back tears as she shared news of another tragic passing in her life.

Speaking directly to her followers, Jasmine admitted she was feeling reflective as she tried to make sense of the pain.

“I’m feeling very reflective today and very grateful because life throws things at you sometimes,” she said.
“What we really should be thinking is how lucky we are to have the problems that we have, because most of them are small problems.”

She then revealed the heartbreaking reason behind her post.

“I had some sad news yesterday. A friend of mine’s husband passed away.
He had been battling cancer for a few years — he was a young dad. There aren’t really words to comfort someone in that situation or to say how awful it must be.”

The mum-of-two went on to explain how the loss had changed her outlook on life.

“It really made me put things into perspective. We have to be grateful for every day and every moment.
We have to cherish the time we have with the people we love and do the things that bring us joy.”

Her fans were heartbroken for her and quickly flooded her comments with messages of compassion.

    One wrote:
“Much love. Even though it doesn’t feel right, we get these reminders along the way of just how precious life is.”

    Another added:
“My thoughts are with you and your friend, Jasmine. Cancer is a scourge that takes too many lives. Live, laugh and love every day as if it’s your last.”

Others said her words had deeply moved them, with one writing:
“You’re so right. Life is hard for me right now, but your message reminded me to stay grateful.”

The update also comes after Jasmine previously admitted she still struggles to talk about losing her A Place In The Sun co-host Jonnie Irwin, who passed away aged 50 after being diagnosed with cancer in 2020.

Jasmine and Jonnie were hired together back in 2004 after meeting on a pilot shoot in South Africa, and remained close for two decades on screen.

Speaking to the Mirror, Jasmine said:

“I’m so proud to have been part of A Place In The Sun for 20 years. It has been life-changing in so many ways.
I met my husband on the programme, we have two children now, and I feel lucky to show people that anything is possible.”

But she admitted the milestone is bittersweet.

“I still find it very hard even talking about Jonnie. It’s still very raw.”

“He’s chosen his new family now”: Adam Peaty’s family have given up hope of reconciliation after Gordon Ramsay’s latest ‘dig’ aimed at the grandparents’ side of the family

Adam Peaty’s  family have reportedly resigned themselves to the reality that there may be no reconciliation with their son, after his new father-in-law Gordon Ramsay made another pointed gesture during the fallout from Adam’s wedding to Holly Ramsay.

Friends of the Peaty family are said to believe any hope of healing the rift has now faded, following Gordon’s comment on Adam’s wedding video, where the Olympian declared he would “always choose” his wife. Gordon responded warmly, signing off the message with the word “Dad” – a move understood to have deeply hurt Adam’s estranged parents.

    Family

The tension comes after Adam was said to have uninvited his parents, Caroline and Mark, from the wedding, leaving only his sister Bethany from his side of the family in attendance.

A source said it has been an emotional and painful period for the family, explaining that they are coming to terms with what has happened and with the feeling that Adam has firmly chosen his side. Any chance of a near-term reconciliation, the insider added, now appears dashed, with relatives opting to keep their heads down and move on quietly.

The wedding itself was overshadowed by the bitter family dispute. During his father-of-the-bride speech, Gordon reportedly praised Holly’s beauty and told Adam he was a lucky man, before adding a line that was interpreted as a pointed reference to the swimmer’s absent parents. Adam’s mother was later said to be outraged and deeply hurt, believing the remark was pre-planned and unnecessarily cruel.

Despite the backlash, Gordon defended his words days later on television, insisting his speech was warm, emotional and exactly right for the moment. His daughter Tilly revealed she had listened to the speech in advance and felt no changes were needed, while Holly publicly backed her father, saying she felt overwhelmed with happiness during his address.

Further salt was rubbed into the wound when Holly revealed that her parents gifted the couple a luxury honeymoon to Mauritius, joking that Adam would have to leave his swimming pool behind. Adam, for his part, reportedly did not mention his parents in his own speech, instead paying tribute to his long-time swim coach Mel Marshall for grounding and inspiring him.

Away from the celebrations, Adam’s mother was said to be devastated, describing the pain of missing her son’s wedding as something she could not endure again. The family rift, which reportedly began in 2024 over engagement party snubs and missed celebrations, now appears deeper than ever – with those closest to Adam fearing the door to reconciliation has finally closed.

    A wedding moments before surgery

In one of the most drɑmɑtic turns in his story, Mortimer reveɑled he mɑrried his long-time pɑrtner Lisɑ Mɑtthews just 30 minutes before his life-sɑving operɑtion. Doctors wɑrned him urgently, ɑnd by Mondɑy morning, ɑn emergency exemption ɑllowed the couple to wed ɑt 9:30ɑm — with Mortimer entering surgery ɑt 10ɑm.

JUST IN: Amanda Owen emotionally admits that she tested positive for…

Amanda Owen, the beloved “Yorkshire Shepherdess” and star of hit reality shows like Our Yorkshire Farm and its spin-off Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, has long captured the hearts of viewers with her resilient, no-nonsense approach to life on the remote Ravenseat Farm in the Yorkshire Dales. As a mother of nine, a working shepherdess, author, and television personality, Owen has built a public image of unbreakable strength amid harsh rural challenges, family dynamics, and personal upheavals. However, in recent months—particularly heading into early 2026—social media users and fans have grown increasingly concerned about her appearance. She has appeared noticeably thinner, with some describing her as looking “lacking energy,” “gaunt,” or even “unrecognizable” in photos and video updates shared on Instagram and during television appearances.

The question circulating widely online—”What is really happening with Amanda Owen?”—has fueled speculation, worry, and at times, unkind commentary. Today, amid this swirl of concern, we address the heartbreaking reality: Amanda Owen has openly discussed struggling with an eating disorder intertwined with severe mental health issues following her high-profile separation from husband Clive Owen in 2022. While she has not “tested positive” for a new acute illness like a virus or disease in the latest reports (contrary to some dramatic rumors), her battles with anxiety, depression, paranoia, agoraphobia, and disordered eating have been profound and ongoing. These challenges, amplified by public scrutiny, media intrusion, and the demands of farm life, have contributed to her visible weight loss and periods of low energy.

    TV & Video

The Roots of Concern: Social Media and Public Appearances

Fans first began voicing alarm in 2024 and 2025 when Amanda returned to screens for Our Farm Next Door, a Channel 4 series where she, ex-husband Clive, and their now-grown children renovate a derelict neighboring farmhouse called Anty John’s. Viewers noted her slimmer frame during episodes aired from October 2024 onward, with comments flooding social platforms like Instagram, Reddit, and X (formerly Twitter). Posts described her as “so thin” or “almost unrecognizable,” with some speculating about illness or overwork.

By late 2025, these concerns escalated. In interviews and social media posts, Amanda appeared distracted or subdued at times, such as during a 2025 appearance on Lorraine where viewers felt “something doesn’t seem right.” Trolls and well-meaning fans alike commented on her weight, with one cruel remark calling her a “bag of bones.” Amanda has repeatedly addressed this directly, often with defiance. In a September 2025 Instagram video, she appeared in a bikini while horseback riding, captioning it to “ride out the storm of any negativity or concerns for my health,” emphasizing that happiness and confidence matter more than comments, even if insect bites “hurt far, far more” than online criticism.

Despite her pushback, the pattern persisted into 2026. Recent Instagram updates from Ravenseat Farm—showing her battling “seriously cold conditions” in ice and snow while searching for lost sheep—have shown her looking fatigued, bundled against the elements, and admitting she can “only do my best.” These glimpses into her daily grind, combined with the physical toll of hill farming in Yorkshire’s brutal winters, have only heightened fan worry.

The Deeper Struggle: Mental Health, Eating Disorder, and the “Price” of Fame

In candid interviews toward the end of 2025, Amanda opened up about the “devastating health battle” that followed her split from Clive after 22 years of marriage. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she described how “physical and mental health are intertwined,” revealing that anxiety, depression, paranoia, agoraphobia, and an eating disorder were all “smooshed into one.” She admitted to “just shutting down” during the darkest periods, a coping mechanism that involved isolating herself and clearing her mind—yet this often gave anxiety too much space to dominate.

Amanda has long had “issues” with food and eating, which she says became “amplified” during her multiple pregnancies (she gave birth to nine children, including a home birth for her eighth child, Clementine). The stress of the separation, ongoing co-parenting and co-farming with Clive, single-handedly managing much of Ravenseat’s workload, and constant media attention exacerbated these problems. She described the “critical time” involving frequent hospital visits, with Clive confessing in joint interviews that there were nights he feared she “wouldn’t be there the next morning.”

The “price” of stardom has been steep. Fame from Our Yorkshire Farm (which ran on Channel 5 from 2018 to 2022 and drew millions of viewers) brought book deals, public speaking, and scrutiny—but also intrusion. Amanda noted how media interest shifted dynamics on the farm, where she and Clive once worked as equals. Post-split, she faced trolling about her appearance, which she has called out as body-shaming. Yet she remains determined, stating in responses to fans that she’s “happy and healthy” in her own way, prioritizing her well-being over external judgments.

Family Dynamics and Life on Ravenseat Today

Despite personal challenges, Amanda continues thriving in her core roles. She and Clive, now amicably separated, co-run Ravenseat and co-parent their nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy. The family dynamic remains central to their TV presence. Reuben has launched his own show, Reuben Owen: Life in the Dales, focusing on his heavy plant machinery business, while others contribute to farm life or pursue education and jobs.

Our Farm Next Door has been renewed for third and fourth series (filmed May to December 2025), with episodes returning to More4 in January 2026. The show captures the family’s highs and lows—restoring the derelict farmhouse amid Yorkshire weather, delving into local history, and balancing renovation with daily farming. Amanda has shared optimistic updates, expressing hope for the project as “a good home.”

Clive underwent hip surgery in late 2024, described as a “nightmare” with him being a “terrible patient,” but the family managed without him initially. Their continued collaboration highlights resilience, even as Amanda navigates her health privately.

Addressing the Rumors and Looking Forward

No recent reports confirm Amanda “testing positive” for a specific new condition like COVID, cancer, or another acute illness in 2026. The “heartbreaking news” teased in viral posts appears to stem from misinterpretations of her past disclosures about mental health and eating struggles, combined with ongoing observations of her thinner appearance. She has not publicly announced any new diagnosis but has emphasized self-care amid farming demands.

Amanda Owen’s story is one of profound strength amid vulnerability. From remote shepherding to national fame, she has faced life’s harshest elements—literal and figurative—while raising a large family and maintaining authenticity. Her recent openness about mental health and body image challenges serves as a reminder that even the toughest among us need support.

As fans continue to rally with messages of encouragement, Amanda persists on Ravenseat, tending sheep, updating followers, and embracing whatever comes next. In her words, she can “only do my best”—and for many, that’s more than enough. The Yorkshire Shepherdess remains an inspiration, proving that true resilience often shines brightest in the quiet battles fought far from the cameras.

“UNFORGIVABLE: THE KILLER’S RELEASE IN JAMES BULGER’S MEMORY” — Parents’ Heartbreak as Hearing Set on His Murder Anniversary

MURDERED James Bulger’s parents are furious after his killer Jon Venables was granted another full parole hearing – which they fear will take place around the anniversary of the toddler’s abduction.

Sick Venables, 43 – last refused parole in 2023 as he still posed a danger – will go before an expert panel for an oral hearing after written reports were submitted.

And James’ separated parents – Denise Fergus, 57, and Ralph Bulger, 59 – are anxious the case may go ahead next month and coincide with his February 12 abduction by Venables and accomplice Robert Thompson in 1993.

We told last October how Denise and Ralph had won the right to attend the scheduled new hearing and deliver victim impact statements.

And that means they could hear the voice of their son’s killer for the first time in more than 30 years if Venables gives evidence at his fresh hearing.

But – due to a draconian anonymity order – Venables’s identity would be hidden at a hearing, and his voice would be changed using distortion technology.

A source said: “They have been told this after delays over Christmas and the New Year – and now they fear this could coincide with the anniversary as they have not been told a date.

“It has just added more trauma and uncertainty for the family.”

Venables was just 10 when he and Thompson snatched James from a shopping centre in Bootle, Merseyside and tortured and killed him in a crime which horrified Britain.

He was freed in 2001 after serving just eight years in youth prison – but recalled to jail for child sex abuse image offences in 2010 and 2017.

Kym Morris, a spokeswoman for James’ mum Denise Fergus, said: “We have been informed that a parole hearing has been granted in relation to Jon Venables.

“Once again, Denise has been forced to confront a process that reopens unimaginable trauma.

“Denise was hoping for a redirection, with no hearing granted allowing her a measure of peace and protection from further distress.

“That hope has now been taken away.

“Denise has been informed that her application to observe the hearing has been granted.

“While this provides her with access to the process, it does not lessen the emotional burden she is being asked to carry, nor does it offer the reassurance or closure she so desperately deserves.

“Instead, Denise now faces yet another prolonged period of uncertainty and distress, with limited clarity around how decisions are being reached or how ongoing risks are being assessed.”

Denise and her ex-husband Ralph, a builder, will be able to observe the crunch hearing.

But Venables – who refused to appear before the panel in 2023 – will either be disguised or is likely to give evidence in writing and remotely from his cell.

They have both prepared victim impact statements which they will read out.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun last November, Ralph warned Venables would kill again if he was freed.

He added: “Venables is more of a threat today than he ever was and he will be living next door to some poor innocent family if they let him go. He will kill again if he comes out.

“Venables is a predatory paedophile killer and yet our system has twice seen fit to let him free to live amongst us only for him to keep re-offending. I cannot work out how or why Venables has been given so many chances.”

Parole board officials decided that after reviewing written submissions from prison workers, counsellors, psychiatrists and impact statements from members of James’ family, it was fair to grant him another oral hearing.

When he was last refused parole in December 2023, it was ruled Venables was not rehabilitated.

The ruling added that the killer had completed a “considerable amount of work” in prison to address his offending but the panel remained “concerned by continuing issues of sexual preoccupation”.

Venables refused to appear in person, instead giving written and video-link evidence.

A Parole Board spokesperson said: “The Secretary of State for Justice has referred Jon Venables’ case to the Parole Board for a review.

“A member of the Parole Board has assessed the case on the papers, by reviewing a dossier of evidence, and has directed that an oral hearing should take place. The date for this hearing is yet to be set.

“Parole Board decisions are solely focused on what risk a prisoner could represent to the public if released and whether that risk is manageable in the community.

“A panel will carefully examine a huge range of evidence.

“Parole reviews are undertaken thoroughly and with extreme care. Protecting the public is our number one priority.”

PETER Andre has given fans a devastating update on his mum’s health as he shared a sweet video of his daughter Belle.

The singer’s mum, Thea, 88, who lives in Australia, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s back in 2023.

Peter, 52, has spoken over the last year about his mother’s deteriorating health and the heartache that comes with it.

The Australian singer, who is dad to Princess, 18, Junior Andre, 20, Amelia, 12, Theo, 9, and one-year-old Belle, has today given fans an update on how his mum Thea is doing.

It came when he shared a video of his daughter Belle and her granddad.

Filmed by wife Emily, the adorable clip saw his youngest child taking part in a FaceTime call with Peter’s dad, Savvas, 92.

The little tot was seen giggling as her granddad made funny faces at her.

Peter held the phone for her as the toddler enjoyed some time with her grandfather.

The doting dad wrote a heartbreaking update next to the video, which explained why his mum wasn’t on the call.

Pete said: “No matter what happens in my life, moments like these for me are the most precious.

“Sadly, Now that mum can’t speak anymore. However, Belle has a wonderful daily conversation with her Bapou (Greek for grandfather) and as you can see, they adore each other.

“Melts my heart every time. She does get to see her Viayia (Greek for grandmother) daily but sadly the Parkinson’s is taking its toll.

“I cherish every moment I have with both my parents and my children.”

    ‘LAST CHRISTMAS’

Peter’s last update on his ailing mother was equally just as heartbreaking.

In December, he revealed how he feared he didn’t have long left with his beloved mum.

In an interview with OK! Magazine, Pete admitted: “Of course I worry this could be Mum’s last Christmas.

“She’s very delicate. Her Parkinson’s has progressed quite a bit. Her speech is almost gone.

“She’ll say a word or two. It’s heartbreaking, because she’s our world, our pillar of strength.”

    PETE’S TORMENT

Peter, who was raised in Australia, preciously admitted he feels torn between his life in the UK with wife Emily and their kids, and the desire to be by his mum’s side as her condition worsens.

Speaking in his New! magazine column, Peter wrote: “It’s absolutely heartbreaking. With a disease like Alzheimer’s it’s so hard, number one, for the person affected, but it’s also heartbreaking for those who love and care for them.

“I see the decline happening, and I know the feelings of guilt and worry that we, her loved ones, feel. It is so painful for everyone.”

Peter has also seen his dad Savvas’ also suffers with poor health.

His older sister, Debbie, resides back home and helps to look after their parents.

Admitting that it’s tough to also see his dad’s health decline with age, the dad-of-five said: “Then I see Dad and he’s 92 and with her every single day. But he’s getting delicate now, too.

“His memory’s going, but I am so grateful that they made that milestone I prayed for – 70 years of marriage in September.”

“It’s a raw pain. I’m a grown man, but I still can’t accept in my heart that these things happen to the people I love the most,” he added.

‘About time!’ Ant and Dec announce huge new joint project as fans left absolutely thrilled

    This is absolutely huge!

Ant and Dec have announced a huge new project together which is launching later this month, and fans are thrilled at the news.

Fans can’t get enough of the iconic Geordie duo. But back in 2024, Saturday Night Takeaway was rested for a while. And many were left disappointed that it meant less Ant and Dec. But they have appeared to take the comments on board, and while we’re not getting our favourite Saturday night show back, we are getting more Ant and Dec – yay!

They have updated their old Saturday Night Takeaway Instagram to now be known as ‘Belta Box’. And this seems to be their new hub of entertainment, a part of which will include a brand-new podcast, hosted by the duo. The news comes after it was announced they had signed another huge deal with ITV.

Ant and Dec make huge announcement

This morning (January 16) Ant and Dec changed the name of their old Instagram, and posted a video, explaining why, and what fans can expect from them.

In the video, Ant explained: “Hello, everyone. Got a bit of an announcement for you. We know you like Saturday Night Takeaway. But Takeaway is not currently on air.”

Dec then jumped in, adding: “But because we are so, very, very kind on top of all the Saturday Night Takeaway content on this channel, we want to give you more.”

The pair enthused: “We are changing this page to Belta Box. It will be packed with feel-good entertainment curated by experts, us. We will be bringing you more from our archive, including the best of SM:TV Live with Byker Grove coming later this year, and tons more.”

But on top of that, fans will also be treated to “new entertainment” too. When the pair were teasing this, clips of stars – including Sam Thompson, Scarlett Moffatt and Simon Cowell – played on the screen.

However, the main thing fans got excited about was Ant and Dec’s final announcement. And they don’t even have long to wait.

They explained: “We are excited to announce that on January 22 we are launching our first show for Belta Box, which will be our brand-new podcast, Hanging Out with Ant and Dec. We can’t wait for you to join us for it.

“So, whether you are here for a trip down memory lane, or fresh and original content, we are excited to welcome you to Belta Box, your new home for feel-good entertainment.”

    Fans thrilled about podcast

Immediately, fans flocked to the comments to share just how happy they are about the news.

Many thought the pair should have created a podcast years ago, and already can’t wait to tune in.

One wrote: “OMG. The podcast is actually happening!”

Another added: “Have been wanting you to do a podcast for ages. I can’t wait to hear it!”

“Exciting. I can’t wait for the podcast. It’ll be amazing,” a third commented.

An excited fan added: “Literally the best news ever. Thank you!!”

However, while everyone did seem excited, some fans still just wanted Saturday Night Takeaway back on their screens.

One commented: “When will SNT be back? I miss it!”

Another shared: “My children and I were just saying we miss SNT so much. They asked me if it would be back one day, and I said hopefully, even a one-off special. So, this looks great guys. Looking forward to it.”

BREAKING NEWS: Swiss Ski Bar Owner Accused of Destroying Evidence After Fire That Killed 40—Police Say They Recovered It All

Swiss authorities have announced a dramatic breakthrough in the investigation into the catastrophic ski bar fire that claimed 40 lives, revealing that the bar’s owner allegedly attempted to destroy all evidence in the days following the disaster—only for police to uncover and recover it.

According to prosecutors, investigators now believe the owner deliberately removed, altered, and discarded key materials from the burned building in an effort to conceal what truly caused the blaze. Officials say the actions took place before a full forensic examination could be completed, raising immediate red flags and prompting a criminal inquiry.

Despite the alleged cleanup, police say nothing was truly lost.

Recovered evidence includes charred electrical components retrieved from a nearby dumpster, security camera hard drives found hidden off-site, and financial records indicating recent, unreported renovations to the bar’s heating and wiring systems. Forensic teams also recovered accelerant traces from debris that had been moved and dumped outside the original fire perimeter.

“This was not an accident covered up by chaos,” a senior investigator said. “It was a calculated attempt to erase the cause. But evidence has a way of surviving.”

Authorities confirmed that newly recovered CCTV footage shows the bar operating far beyond its legal capacity on the night of the fire, with emergency exits partially blocked. Fire inspectors also identified multiple violations that had allegedly gone unreported, including disabled alarms and non-compliant insulation materials.

Prosecutors say the owner is now facing multiple serious charges, including obstruction of justice, evidence tampering, and manslaughter, with additional counts expected as the investigation continues. Assets linked to the business have reportedly been frozen.

Families of the victims responded with a mixture of grief and anger. “They tried to take the truth from us,” said one relative at a vigil near the site. “But the truth came back.”

Swiss police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing and urged the public not to speculate as more findings are reviewed. A full evidentiary report is expected to be presented in court in the coming weeks.

As the case unfolds, officials say the recovered evidence could finally explain how a popular ski bar turned into the scene of one of the deadliest fires in recent Swiss history—and why so many never made it out alive.
