Emmerdale character to be found dead as killer John strikes again!

Emmerdale’s John Sugden will claim another victim after leaving someone to die amid a medical emergency, with a body set to be found by another villager on the ITV soap

An Emmerdale character is set to be found dead in a brutal new twist.

Killer John Sugden strikes again, after scenes on Friday saw him take brutal action. Stumbling across someone having a medical emergency, with them clearly lifeless, John made a decision that led to him effectively claiming another victim.

While seemingly unplanned, John visited the house of patient Owen, the newcomer who drugged John’s brother Robert Sugden recently, only to find him dying. He was found slouched and pale on the sofa, clearly needing urgent help.

John initially began to act, checking for a pulse before preparing to call the emergency services. But he suddenly stopped and decided to take a more brutal action, leaving him to die.

Not only did he cover his tracks and wipe away any evidence of him having been there, he literally left Owen dying on the sofa knowing he would not be saved. It wasn’t really clear if he was breathing when John checked his pulse, as John didn’t begin trying to resuscitate him so perhaps he was still alive.

That said he was motionless and didn’t look good at all. Given John’s plan to frame him for Nate Robinson’s murder, it did seem that Owen was in fact dead, or that John knew by the time he would be found he would have died.

John wrote up something on Owen’s laptop which is discovered by the police next week, after they find his dead body where John left it. Liam Cavanagh will discover the death after the doctor visits Owen on a callout, and when he can’t get through to him he calls the police.

Liam had actually turned up on Friday, before noting to John something did not seem right. Liam had no idea John was there, panicked, when the former showed up to see Owen.

John remained out of sight and silent until Liam left, before he fled himself. Liam’s concern leads to the discovery of Owen’s body next week, as well as a ‘suicide note’ and a confession to Nate’s death.

Owen is found dead, and John’s plan goes as he hopes as Owen is made the prime suspect in Nate’s murder. Nate’s family are told and John feigns surprise over the news.

So John has now claimed another victim, months on from killing Nate and dumping his body in the lake. John didn’t actually kill Owen, who seemed to overdose, but he still knowingly let him die on purpose.

The medic did not raise the alarm or help him, and instead chose to basically watch him die so he could set him up for his own dark crime. He then left the scene, leaving his body behind without telling anyone what had happened.

Owen very likely could have been saved if John had acted or called for help. The only issue is Claudette Anderson tells John’s brother Robert next week how John had visited the house before he died, so perhaps he hasn’t entirely covered his tracks.

  • Dame Prue Leith sets record on Great British Bake Off exit after quitting celebrity specials!

Dame Prue Leith sets record on Great British Bake Off exit after quitting celebrity specials!

The Great British Bake Off judge Prue Leith has been a show judge since it moved to Channel 4 from the BBC in 2017 and has given an update after she quit the celebrity version

Dame Prue Leith has addressed the rumours that she is going to quit The Great British Bake Off. The renowned TV chef, replaced Dame Mary Berry as a judge on the TV favourite when it moved to Channel 4 in 2017, and has been seen alongside Paul Hollywood ever since.

She has also gone on to host Prue Leith’s Cotswolds Kitchen for ITV and last year appeared on The Masked Singer. But, earlier this year, she did not appear on the celebrity edition of Bake Off so fans are always asking her if she has quit for good.

But that is not the case, and during an appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, she told viewers that she only stopped appearing the celebrity version because she needed a break, explaining: “I keep being asked if I’m leaving. This is because I left the celebrity [version]. I stopped doing that last year because I just hadn’t had a holiday in the summer for eight years. I’ve only given up Celebrity [Bake Off].”

Prue set the record straight during a chat with Lorraine on Friday’s episode(Image: ITV)

The TV favourite is currently busy filming the American version of the baking show, and confirmed that she is still very much a part of the original programme. She said: “I still do The Great American Bake Off, which we are filming at the moment, and I still do The Great British Bake Off, which I love, and is the mother of them all.”

Prue, who was replaced by Caroline Waldegrave as a judge on the latest series of the Stand Up 2 Cancer specials, has no intention of leaving the regular version of the programme, adding: “It’s the best job in telly. It’s absolutely the best job in telly, I don’t have to learn lines, I don’t have to have script. I just walk on and eat cake.”

Prue and Paul Hollywood are judges on the show while Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond host(Image: Channel 4 / Mark Bourdillon / Love Productions)

The star was also quick to heap praise on the addition of Alison Hammond as presenter, who replaced Matt Lucas in 2023 and now carries out hosting duties with Noel Fielding. Noting that the Big Brother legend has had a big impact on the team, she said: “I think Alison has made a huge difference to the team, she gets on so well with Noel with all of us. She’s so loving and the bakers adore her, she’s like Big Mama!”

It was reported earlier this year that Prue had chosen to step back from her duties on the show to relish some well-deserved rest. And at the time, she disclosed: “It’s mainly because these things are filmed back to back.”

She went on to say: “The whole way through the summer, so you start in April and you end at the end of August. Honestly, you get no time off. And, I’m getting a bit old and there’s places I want to go.”

But her replacement is no newbie to the small screen, as Caroline has graced programmes like Chef School, Masterchef, and Tricks of the Trade, and she has also penned several cookbooks. As The Great Celebrity Bake Off gears up for its latest season this weekend, Lady Waldegrave shared her thoughts on succeeding Dame Prue Leith as a judge. She confessed: “I was completely terrified.”

  • John Torode pulls out of event at the last minute after Masterchef axing!

John Torode pulls out of event at the last minute after Masterchef axing!

John Torode was set to make his first public appearance since being dropped by the BBC and MasterChef

Durham County Council has confirmed that John Torode has withdrawn from the Seaham Food Festival.

The celebrity chef and former MasterChef host was scheduled to be the star attraction at the council-run event on August 2 and 3.

John was expected to dazzle festival-goers in the cookery theatre with his culinary expertise. Despite his absence, Dean Edwards, Chris Baber, Nelly Ghaffar and other renowned chefs will still join over 120 traders in the seaside town for the weekend’s festivities.

A representative from Durham County Council stated: “We appreciate this has been a difficult time for John and, as a result, he has decided to take some time out. He will, therefore, not be appearing at this year’s Seaham Food Festival.”

This announcement follows the BBC and MasterChef production company Banijay’s decision not to renew Torode’s contract amid allegations of him using “highly offensive racist language” back in 2018.

John has refuted the claim, asserting that he does not remember such an incident occurring.

The allegation surfaced during an independent probe conducted by the legal firm Lewis Silkin, which had previously substantiated 45 complaints against John’s co-presenter Gregg Wallace, reports Chronicle Live.

John took to Instagram on Tuesday to address rumours of his departure from MasterChef, claiming the BBC and Banijay had left him in the dark.

The celebrity chef expressed his confusion, posting: “Although I haven’t heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay – I am seeing and reading that I’ve been ‘sacked’ from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I’m accused of. The enquiry could not even state the date or year of when I am meant to have said something wrong.”

He expressed his disappointment at not having a say in his exit from the show he’d been part of since its 2005 relaunch, noting that recent events seemed to have taken that choice away.

The TV star reflected on his time and future, saying: “I’d hoped that I’d have some say in my exit from a show I’ve worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in last few days seem to have prevented that. Over the past few months, I have been considering my life and the shape of it now and in the future.”

John Torode released a statement on Tuesday

Confirming his departure, he announced: “Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent along with two fantastic Christmas specials will be my last. Personally, I have loved every minute working on MasterChef, but it’s time to pass the cutlery to someone else.”

He encouraged his successor to cherish the role as much as he did and revealed his plans to watch the show’s progress while pursuing other ventures. Torode added: “For whoever takes over, love it as I have. I will watch fondly from afar as I now focus on the many other exciting projects that I have been working towards.”

Acknowledging the impact of his long tenure on the show, he joked about his stomach needing a break after two decades. He concluded with heartfelt thanks for the years spent on ‘MasterChef’: “My tummy will be grateful for a rest after 20 years of eating, but what a joy it has been. Life is everchanging and ever moving and sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere.

“Thank you for the many years of MasterChef. JOHN TORODE.”

Actor Nicola Peltz has confirmed the latest project in her career. She’s expressed excitement over the opportunity, which is said to be giving her more experience behind the camera, as well as another starring role on screen.

Nicola, 30, has appeared in several films over the years, including Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014). It was announced last week that she will star in thriller Pretty Ugly and also serve as an executive producer, with it understood to be the first time she’s held that position on a film.

It was reported just days ago that Nicola will star alongside Jazzy De Lisser and Mary Stuart Masterson in the “murder mystery”. The film is said to be written and directed by Erica Dunton, who has previously worked on TV shows such as Ted Lasso, the Summer I Turned Pretty and Outer Banks.

The news was shared by Deadline and the outlet said that the film, set in North Carolina, centres on a mother and daughter, played by Nicola’s co-stars. Their relationship “unravels” with the return of a “provocative makeup influencer,” played by Nicola, amid a murder in the area.

Her co-star Mary, 59, whose previous credits include Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), posted about the project following the report about it. Her post on Instagram later prompted reaction from Nicola, who shared her excitement.

Mary wrote yesterday: “I’m slow to post these things, but I am so proud to be a part of this film. I had a (rather intense) ball down in Wilmington, NC with the most amazing crew and cast under the truly inspiring direction of Erica Dunton.”

Further teasing over the upcoming film, Mary added: “I will have more to say and share about this magical experience later on… you are not going to believe what my movie daughter [Jazzy] and her new friend [Nicola] get up to…”

The actor, who will star alongside the likes of Mary Stuart Masterson, has shared her excitement(Image: WireImage)

Her co-star Nicola has since reacted. She wrote beside a pink heart emoji in the comments section this morning: “Mary you’re so incredible I’m so excited for this.” She also shared Mary’s post on her Instagram Story earlier today.

Nicola’s last feature film appearance was in Lola (2024), which she also wrote and directed. The film, which marked her directorial debut, was released in February last year and she was supported by some of her in-laws at the launch.

At the premiere in Los Angeles, she was seen cosying up to her mother-in-law Victoria Beckham, 51. Nicola’s husband Brooklyn Beckham, 26, and his brother Cruz Beckham, 20, were also in attendance at the special occasion.

Nicola and her mother-in-law were even seen dancing together at an apparent after-party as the Spice Girls’ Wannabe played. And ahead of the film’s release, Victoria said she “could not be more proud” of her daughter-in-law.

Her support suggested that she was on good terms with Nicola, following previous rumours of tension in their relationship. There’s since been renewed speculation about the family, with it rumoured that there’s now a rift between Brooklyn and his parents Victoria and David Beckham, 50.

Brooklyn is said to have grown close to his in-laws and it’s been claimed that he “doesn’t really feel like he fits into” his own family. A source told the Mirror recently: “He just doesn’t feel his family have treated Nicola well and now that he’s grown so close to her family in the States, he doesn’t really feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now.”

Despite ongoing speculation about their relationship with his parents, a source suggested to the Mirror last month that Brooklyn and Nicola were stronger than ever. They were described as a young couple “enjoying their lives together”.

Prince Harry holds fears of a UK banishment, according to a royal expert, who thinks the Duke of Sussex would like to heal the royal family rift

Prince Harry fears he will be banished from the UK once his brother William becomes King, a royal expert believes. King Charles ’ youngest son wants to heal the rift with the Royal Family which began with his and wife Meghan’s defection to the USA.

Two of the Sussexes’ key aides met Charles’s communication chief recently, sparking rumours of an olive branch between the two sides. But biographer Tom Bower believes the father and son are a long way from reconciling, and it is possible they may never meet again.

Tom said: “Whether they’ll meet again in Charles’s lifetime depends on how long Charles lives. I couldn’t say never because I’m sure Charles wants to meet his son, but so much depends on how Harry behaves.”
Harry reportedly feels William could banish him from the UK
Harry reportedly feels William could banish him from the UK

He added: “Harry is seriously worried that when his father dies one day, William will literally banish him and he will have no status in Britain at all. He will be persona non grata.”

Tom, 78, who wrote Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, went on to describe Harry as “his own worst enemy”.

The former journalist told the Mirror the Duke of Sussex is “desperate” to repair the relationship with his 76-year-old father. But with Charles continuing to receive treatment for cancer and the extent of the rift in the family, -reconciliation may not happen.

“Harry needs a meeting with Charles to show he is part of the Royal Family and to establish his credibility in Britain,” Tom said.“But as long as the Palace won’t give him access to Charles, he can’t take the first step. They suspect that the moment he meets Charles, he will use it to establish his credibility, because that’s what he desperately needs, and that’s also why he’s kept away.”

Meredith Maines, Meghan and Harry’s chief of staff in California, and Liam Maguire, the head of their UK PR operation, recently met Charles’s communication secretary Tobyn Andreae for drinks in London.

Sources hinted the get-together was the beginning of the end of the years of tension and estrangement between the father and son. The two have not been in the same room together since Harry’s flying visit to Buckingham Palace following the shock announcement of Charles’s cancer in February 2024.

    King Charles
Harry would like to make amends with his father, according to an expert(Image: Getty Images)

The King has met the youngest Sussex child, four-year-old Lilibet, only once. Harry’s next scheduled visit to his homeland is expected to come in September, but it could coincide with Charles and Camilla’s annual holiday to Balmoral.

Tom said it is very unlikely they will meet, adding: “My money would absolutely be no. If he did meet him, it would be in private. A lot depends on Charles’s health, that is the unspoken issue in Britain today.

“Because Charles will be in Scotland, the question is will Harry be invited up to Scotland? My guess is no.”

The Duke has a mountain to climb after he and Meghan made personal disclosures and accusations in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry then released his memoir, Spare, in 2023, in which he wrote about his and William’s broken relationship.

Tom also cites Harry’s recent interview with the BBC following his High Court defeat over state security as a “terrible act of self harm”.

The dad-of-two referred to the legal battle as an “establishment stitch-up”, and said he didn’t know “how much longer” the King might live. “There’s huge anger in Britain, not least from William, Kate and Camilla about the awful things Harry has said,” Tom said. “The interview he gave after he lost the security case, and accused the establishment of a stitch up, showed that he’s completely uncontrollable. He is unpredictable and his own worst enemy.

“But he fears that once Charles dies he will get no help from William. I wouldn’t be surprised if William won’t have him at his Coronation.”

Any contact between Harry and Charles would need the full backing of Charles’s closest and most trusted aides, Tom added, and unfortunately for the younger royal brother, he is not a priority at the moment.

He said: “Charles’s health is the prime concern, and William’s succession is the next thing. Harry’s problems are irrelevant and they are irritated by him. Harry can’t just arrive at the Palace and see his father.

“When Harry was in Britain at the time Charles’s visit to France was cancelled because of the riots, there was ample time to meet and one would assume Charles’s diary was empty. But Harry was told his diary was full and he couldn’t see him.

“He can’t even get him on the phone because they don’t trust him and they’re angry with him. They don’t understand his motivations.”

It has been said that the recent peace summit would not have happened without Prince William ’s blessing, but too much has happened between the two brothers for -reconciliation to be an option.

    Prince William
Harry is said to fear what brother William could do in the future(Image: AFP via Getty Images)

Tom, currently working on a follow-up to Revenge, also claimed that William and Kate, both 43, would probably block any further reconciliation and, given Charles’s health, the pressure is mounting.

While Harry has made sporadic trips to the UK since he and Meghan stepped down as working royals and relocated to California, Meghan has set foot on UK soil only once, for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

As she continues to build her As Ever lifestyle brand and prepare for a second series of Netflix show, With Love, her own relationship with The Firm is not on her agenda, Tom said.

“Meghan is tired of it all, she wants it to be over,” he added. “She doesn’t give two hoots about what happens.

“It puts a great strain on their marriage and their relationship because Harry frets and becomes very unhappy about it all.

“Meghan wants to get on, and build herself up as a television personality and have nothing more to do with Britain at all. It doesn’t interest her.”

Loved-up Davina McCall makes relationship promise to boyfriend Michael Douglas!

    What a statement!

Loved-up Davina McCall has shared her hopes and dreams for her life with boyfriend Michael Douglas.

Long Lost Family presenter Davina, 57, and hair stylist Michael went public with their relationship in 2019. They had reportedly been dating for over a year by that point.

Davina, who separated from her second husband Matthew Robertson in November 2017, previously indicated she and Michael prefer not to discuss their relationship in public. But since starting their Making the Cut podcast together, Davina recently made a very emotional confession about where she sees their relationship going.

What has Davina McCall said about her future with her boyfriend?

“We’ve got an agreement that I don’t talk about our relationship. Because our exes and kids don’t have a right to reply, so it’s not fair,” Davina was reported to have said previously.

She is said to have added: “Privacy keeps our relationship special to us. There’s something lovely about it and that’s all it is. It keeps it really magical and I like that.”

However, Davina – who also hosts her own podcast called Begin Again, too – has now suggested that her and Michael are in it for the very long term.

Will Davina and Michael get married?

Davina and Michael are believed to have known each other for decades, stretching back to working together on Big Brother.

Earlier this year, reports claimed Davina – given the all clear over a brain tumour – isn’t in any rush to tie the knot again.

An unnamed friend is said to have told The Sun in April: “Davina is besotted with Michael and so naturally we’re all wondering when they’ll get married and what’s next for them.

“But Davina isn’t focused on getting married to Michael. She doesn’t want to get married right now. Instead, she wants to travel the world and have some amazing adventures with him.”

Nonetheless, even though wedding bells might not be imminent, it seems that she has decided he may be The One for good.

‘Hearing all of the stories to all of the songs’

Speaking on Making The Cut, the pair shared how they’d recently hung out with Joel Dommett and his wife.

They also explained how they played a game together to learn a little more about each other. And they did this by picking a song that meant something to them and revealing the memories it brought up from earlier in their lives. The soundtrack to their lives, in a way.

“We all felt like we knew each other a lot better because we’d heard like a story that we might not hear around a dinner table,” Davina said.

Moments later, Davina admitted she cannot wait to find out more in the future about which songs matter to Michael. Although she may not need to be in a rush to learn about them.

We’re gonna be together for the rest of our lives.

She added, sweetly: “Because we’re going to be together for the rest of our lives. I’m really looking forward to hearing all of the stories to all of the songs.”

Prince Harry’s ‘fears’ over brother William as he’s ‘desperate to return to the UK’!

Prince Harry recently did a landmine walk in Angola

Prince Harry’s recent solo trip to Angola has reignited speculation about a possible UK return, as the duke appears eager to reconnect with his roots.

According to royal biographer Tom Bower, the Duke of Sussex‘s visit was less about landmine awareness and more about a deeper motivation: a growing desperation to reconnect with the UK and secure his future role within the monarchy.

Prince Harry ‘desperate to return to the UK’

Speaking on GB News, Tom didn’t hold back.

He branded the Angola visit a “publicity stunt,” arguing that Harry is grappling with fears about being completely sidelined by the royal family in the years ahead, especially once his older brother, Prince William, ascends the throne.

“It’s a stunt. Harry is desperate,” Tom said bluntly. “He’s desperate to come back to England and distance himself with the bitter feud of his wife.”

According to Tom, Harry is torn between his California-based life with Meghan Markle and his longstanding desire to maintain a connection to the monarchy.

Although his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, keep him rooted in the US, Bower argues that Harry’s sense of identity remains unresolved, particularly after the backlash surrounding his Netflix deals, podcast ventures, and tell-all memoir Spare.

“What he really fears,” Tom continued. “Is that when the king, God forbid, dies, his brother is going to banish himself from Britain. So in some ways, he is trying to ingratiate himself.”

Experts claim that Harry is afraid of being completely shut out of the monarchy once William becomes king (Credit: Cover Images)

    Prince Harry in Angola

Harry’s Angola trip saw him don protective gear and walk through cleared minefields in Cuito Cuanavale, echoing the famous 1997 landmine walk by his late mother, Princess Diana.

He met with families, taught local children safety phrases in Portuguese, and participated in a controlled detonation exercise.

He also met with Angolan President João Lourenço to discuss ongoing landmine clearance efforts.

The visit highlighted his continued work with The Halo Trust and his long-standing passion for humanitarian work.

He’s desperate to come back to England and distance himself with the bitter feud of his wife.

However, Tom also took aim at Harry’s advisers in the US. He accused them of misreading the British public.

“He’s advised by Californians who don’t understand Britain,” Tom said. “They think it’s clever to let him recreate something Diana did. But it’s all falling flat.”

The trip comes as rumours swirl about a potential reconciliation between Harry and his father, King Charles.

Aides are reportedly working behind the scenes to avoid further public friction. There is even speculation that the two may meet in September, when Harry is expected to return to the UK for a WellChild charity event.

Although Harry hasn’t reportedly seen the king in over a year and a half, recent reports suggest that Charles is open to rebuilding family ties.

Royal Insider has contacted reps for Harry for comment.

MasterChef presenter John Torode was sacked from the BBC cookery show for allegedly using the N-word slur twice, it’s been reported.

According to reports, 59-year-old celebrity chef and TV presenter repeated lyrics from Kanye West track Gold Digger which contain the highly offensive word. It’s alleged it was said at an after-work event six or seven years ago.

John is also alleged to have used the word again while talking to a friend on the BBC show’s production team.

The Sun also reports John only heard from a representative from law firm Lewis Silkin at the end of June. That came as as part of the investigation into his MasterChef co-host Gregg Wallace.

‘John is adamant he would never have used the N-word’

On the alleged second occasion, The Sun reports John’s friend “did not take offence”. The person who raised the complaint that is said to have overheard the conversation.

The production friend reportedly reckoned John only used the slur as an “example” and “apologised afterwards”.

A source is reported to have told the tabloid John wasn’t familiar with the uncensored version of the Kanye hit.

They are quoted as saying: “One of the allegations is that he said the N-word while repeating Kanye’s Gold Digger song during a gathering with his colleagues when filming had ended. John is adamant he would never have used the N-word and only knows the radio version of the song which says ‘Now I ain’t sayin’ she a gold digger, but she ain’t messin’ with no broke, broke’. The clean version of the song is the only one he knows.”

The source added: “John has said he cannot recall the conversation and he would never use the N-word. He knows it is unacceptable and says he would never have said it.”

They reportedly added that John only found out about the issue a few weeks ago. It is said to have “hit him like a ton of bricks”.

    Will Masterchef return to TV?

Additionally, The Sun claims John’s representatives were not aware his contract wasn’t being renewed until after the BBC press office released a statement.

A source reportedly added John is being supported by his wife Lisa Faulkner, as well as friends. They are said to be “keeping him close because he has really been struggling.”

They are said to have added: “John abhors this kind of language and does not recall ever reciting a racist slur in a lyric, or directing one to someone he considered a friend at work. He adored MasterChef. It was a huge part of his life. To have it all ending like this is awful.”

To have it all ending like this is awful.

ED! has approached representatives for John Torode, Banijay, and the BBC for comment on The Sun’s story.

John’s former co-host Gregg Wallace, 60, was confirmed to have been sacked earlier this month. That followed a six-month inquiry into alleged misconduct which upheld 45 out of 83 allegations.

Despite the show’s longtime presenters being sacked, it is claimed the final series of MasterChef will still air “once the dust has settled”.

Who was Andy Byron with at the Coldplay concert?

During the band’s show at Boston’s Gillette Stadium on Tuesday night (July 15), part of their Music of the Spheres World Tour, the camera projected a man, Andy Byron, with his arm around a woman’s waist on one of the big screens showing the gig.

After trying to hide from the camera, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin quipped: “Oh look at these two! Oh what? Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”

Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.

Footage that’s gone viral on social media and video-sharing platforms shows 50-year-old Andy Byron, CEO of private data infrastructure and operations company Astronomer, with his arm around the waist of his co-worker Kristin Cabot. He quickly let go of Kristin and crouched down, while she covered her face with her hands.

Per the Daily Mail, Andy appeared to remark: “[Bleep]ing hell, it’s me.” Chief people officer Kristin the seemed to say: “This is awkward.”

Does Kristin Cabot have a husband?

It’s reported that Kristin divorced a Kenneth Thornby in 2022. The New York Post reported that they have at least one child together – and it’s unclear as to whether she ever remarried. However, she kept Thornby as a second surname on social media.

As well as her Astronomer work, she is an advisory board member for a rum company run by a man with the name Andy Cabot, per Men’s Journal. Property records state that the two own a property together, too.

    Who is Andy Byron’s wife?

Andy is married to and has children with Megan Kerrigan Byron. After Megan faced a deluge of people commenting on her recent Facebook posts to tell her about the concert incident, she reportedly dropped Byron from her name.

Andy, who became CEO of Astronomer in 2023, wrote about Kristin in November 2024 (via Page Six): “Kristin’s exceptional leadership and deep expertise in talent management, employee engagement, and scaling people strategies will be critical as we continue our rapid trajectory.

“She is a proven leader at multiple growth-stage companies. And, her passion for fostering diverse, collaborative workplaces makes her a perfect fit for Astronomer.”

He has since deactivated or deleted his LinkedIn account.

A former colleague told the New York Post that former employees were laughing about the incident in group chats and “enjoying the hell out of what happened and him getting exposed”. The source went on to describe him as a “toxic” boss.

What’s everyone said about the incident?

After first making a joke, Coldplay’s Chris did also express remorse for his quip during the same gig.

“Oh [bleep], I hope we didn’t do something bad,” he said. He later joked, after the camera landed on another man and woman: “Are you a legitimate couple?”

    Andy’s ‘apology’

On X (Twitter), it was reported that Andy had shared a statement in his capacity as CEO, in which ‘he’ apologised.

However, other X users pointed out that the account sharing the statement purported to be that of a CBS News journalist, but had 50 followers, a crude name and an AI-generated profile photo. It also signed off with lyrics to the Coldplay hit Fit You.

Astronomer told TMZ that the statement is “not a real statement”.
