Prince Harry’s ‘fears’ over brother William as he’s ‘desperate to return to the UK’!

Prince Harry recently did a landmine walk in Angola

Prince Harry’s recent solo trip to Angola has reignited speculation about a possible UK return, as the duke appears eager to reconnect with his roots.

According to royal biographer Tom Bower, the Duke of Sussex‘s visit was less about landmine awareness and more about a deeper motivation: a growing desperation to reconnect with the UK and secure his future role within the monarchy.

Prince Harry ‘desperate to return to the UK’

Speaking on GB News, Tom didn’t hold back.

He branded the Angola visit a “publicity stunt,” arguing that Harry is grappling with fears about being completely sidelined by the royal family in the years ahead, especially once his older brother, Prince William, ascends the throne.

“It’s a stunt. Harry is desperate,” Tom said bluntly. “He’s desperate to come back to England and distance himself with the bitter feud of his wife.”

According to Tom, Harry is torn between his California-based life with Meghan Markle and his longstanding desire to maintain a connection to the monarchy.

Although his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, keep him rooted in the US, Bower argues that Harry’s sense of identity remains unresolved, particularly after the backlash surrounding his Netflix deals, podcast ventures, and tell-all memoir Spare.

“What he really fears,” Tom continued. “Is that when the king, God forbid, dies, his brother is going to banish himself from Britain. So in some ways, he is trying to ingratiate himself.”

    Prince Harry in Angola

Harry’s Angola trip saw him don protective gear and walk through cleared minefields in Cuito Cuanavale, echoing the famous 1997 landmine walk by his late mother, Princess Diana.

He met with families, taught local children safety phrases in Portuguese, and participated in a controlled detonation exercise.

He also met with Angolan President João Lourenço to discuss ongoing landmine clearance efforts.

The visit highlighted his continued work with The Halo Trust and his long-standing passion for humanitarian work.

He’s desperate to come back to England and distance himself with the bitter feud of his wife.

However, Tom also took aim at Harry’s advisers in the US. He accused them of misreading the British public.

“He’s advised by Californians who don’t understand Britain,” Tom said. “They think it’s clever to let him recreate something Diana did. But it’s all falling flat.”

The trip comes as rumours swirl about a potential reconciliation between Harry and his father, King Charles.

Aides are reportedly working behind the scenes to avoid further public friction. There is even speculation that the two may meet in September, when Harry is expected to return to the UK for a WellChild charity event.

Although Harry hasn’t reportedly seen the king in over a year and a half, recent reports suggest that Charles is open to rebuilding family ties.

Royal Insider has contacted reps for Harry for comment.

Inside Sunetra Sarker’s love life – meeting first husband aged 16; Strictly curse; why she doesn’t live with second husband!

The actress and Loose Women star is a mum-of-one

Sunetra Sarker is a TV favourite – but it’s fair to say she’s had a rather wild love life, including two husbands.

Since shooting to fame in the late 1980s, the actress, 51, has not slowed down. From stints on Loose Women and Casualty to Ackley Bridge and Celebrity Gogglebox, Sunetra – who is on The Chase today (July 20) – has kept herself booked and busy.

But away from the TV shows and sets, Sunetra’s love life and romances have made the headlines several times over the years…

    Sunetra Sarker’s first husband

Sunetra Sarker’s first husband was Nick Corfield.

The pair met in 1989 when 16-year-old Sunetra headed on holiday to Jersey – where Nick lived. Despite striking up a romance, things fizzled out between the pair after four weeks.

However, in a twist of fate, 10 years later Sunetra went back to the island and ended up rekindling things with Nick.

He told me whenever he’d kissed another girl, he’d wanted to open his eyes and see me.

“I went back to Jersey, walked into a bar and all of a sudden saw him. The same face, the same eyes, the same perfect feeling when he hugged me,” she previously said, as Free Library reports.

Sunetra added: “I was old enough to understand my feelings this time and realise they don’t come along that often.

“He told me whenever he’d kissed another girl, he’d wanted to open his eyes and see me. We didn’t hang around after that.”

In 2001, Sunetra and Nick welcomed their son Noah. The couple then made things official and tied the knot in 2003.

However, in 2014, it was announced that Sunetra and Nick had split up.

Sunetra shuts down Strictly ‘curse’ rumours

At the time of Sunetra and Nick’s split being announced, she had just finished her stint on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing in 2014, in which she danced with Brendan Cole. The pair made it to week nine.

Reports quickly suggested that the show’s so-called curse played a part in their break-up – but Sunetra has insisted their separation had “nothing to do” with it.

She previously told The Mirror in 2014: “The truth is three years ago me and my husband amicably split up and it obviously had nothing to do with Strictly.”

She also shared: “When two people part it’s always sad but our focus was making sure we could still be a modern family for Noah.

“And that includes being open. Because those channels of communication are there, there’s no bad feelings. I’ve not left my marriage with any baggage.”

    Sunetra’s second marriage

Sunetra then went official with her boyfriend – and future husband – Scott Carey, who she started dating in the summer of 2012.

The actress and Scott knew each other from their college days. The pair developed a special connection years later during a chance meeting.

“Scott and I were friends all through college and met again by chance after we were both divorced. It was like a thunderbolt for us both at that reunion and we had such a connection, we knew we’d be together forever,” she told the Belfast Telegraph in 2016.

Going from strength to strength, in November 2018, Scott and Sunetra got married at a lush star-studded ceremony at the beautiful Asian-inspired Matara Centre in the Cotswolds.

They married in two ceremonies – one traditionally British, the other Indian.

Celebrity pals including EastEnders legend Jo Joyner, wildlife presenter Steve Backshall, his Olympic rower wife Helen Glover and Stephen Mangan were all in attendance.

Why Sunetra and her husband live apart

At the time of their marriage, Sunetra and Scott lived apart and had no plans to change that.

She lives in Bristol with her son Noah, while Scott lives in Kent with his two children. Appearing on Loose Women in 2021, Sunetra explained she didn’t want to have to totally uproot their kids’ lives if they moved in together.

“We live happily apart. Scott and I, madly in love. Meeting Scott was like discovering a new colour,” she said.

Sunetra added: “Then the thought of us not living together was so weird. But because we both had sets of kids that were in schools and happily sorted, and seeing their other parents – we didn’t want to uproot our children and make them have to do something they didn’t want to just because we had fallen in love.”

  • Inside Denise Welch’s addiction and mental health struggles and her fear of ‘replacing one addiction with another’!

Inside Denise Welch’s addiction and mental health struggles and her fear of ‘replacing one addiction with another’!

‘If alcohol is making you and the people you love unhappy it’s time to stop’

Denise Welch is a beloved TV legend – but behind the scenes, she has faced her fair share of challenges.

Since shooting to fame in the 1990s, Denise, 67, has been a staple on screens. From stints on Coronation Street to Loose Women, she has remained booked and busy.

However, over the years, Denise has been candid about her struggles with depression and addiction. Back in May, she shared that “the unwelcome visitor” – Denise’s nickname for her depression – had returned while on holiday.

Here, ED is taking a look at the struggles Denise Welch has bravely overcome.

Denise Welch on her lowest moment

Denise has been open about how, throughout her life, she has suffered with clinical depression.

This led to the actress turning to drugs and alcohol, in a bid to escape it. However, this inevitably made things worse and, 13 years ago, she made the decision to go completely sober.

In her 2020 memoir, The Unwelcome Visitor, Denise recalled one of her lowest moments that took place while filming ITV’s Stars in Their Eyes programme in 1999.

Before taking to the stage as singer Petula Clark Denise was “crawling around and banging my head on the floor, trying desperately to deaden the pain within”.

Meanwhile, in 2024, she reflected on drunken nights out that, in hindsight, make her “feel sick”.

In a candid Instagram post, Denise told her followers: “I got to the point where my memories of these ‘fabulous’ nights out weren’t what I remember, because I couldn’t remember.

“I just remember how those nights made me feel and the thought of it makes me feel sick.”

As well as alcohol, Denise also previously revealed she used to take cocaine, which left the TV presenter living in “hell”.

On the Open podcast in 2023, Denise shared she started taking cocaine in her late thirties while working on Coronation Street in the late 1990s.

“I was dealing with 12-to-14 hour schedules whilst suffering the most crippling depression and basically that was my descent into alcoholism and the drug use happened,” Denise said.

She also said: “I did cocaine and it made me feel normal for two hours and that was the descent into that world and then it became hell.”

Denise prayed for plane she was travelling on to crash

Denise also previously shared that the unwelcome visitor returned after giving birth to her first son, Matty Healy in 1989.

At the height of her depression, she prayed for the plane she was travelling on with son Matty to crash.

On the Zombiemum podcast in 2021, Denise said: “The night before I went, this massive depression came on. I cannot tell you what it was like to go to the airport and get on that plane with this depression.

“When I was in the air – I told Matthew this years later when he was a grown up, I would never have put this on any child – I wished that the plane would go down in my mind.”

“I wished that it would, because then I wouldn’t have made the decision. And people might go: ‘There was other people on the plane, how selfish,’ – of course.

“It was the point that I wanted something out of my control and I thought, why doesn’t it just go down and then I will be out of this pain. Now I can’t believe I had those thoughts.”

In Denise’s 2022 memoir, she also explained her depression “drains the colour from my life” and makes her “avoid everybody”.

She candidly shared: “Sometimes he knocks at the door, turns around and leaves. Sometimes he will stay a few days but sometimes he will be here a year and I hate him for the pain he causes.”

    Denise celebrates sobriety

In April 2025, Denise celebrated 13 years of being sober, after her struggle with alcohol addiction and depression.

In a candid Instagram post, she recalled details of her final “shameful” alcohol binge.

“13 years ago today I had my last alcoholic drink. I had woken up, as often happened, with no memory of the night before,” Denise said.

The soap star added: “I was in the middle of a huge theatre tour and was faced with the thought of a long car journey to Richmond and two shows!! Then I looked around and realised that my husband, then boyfriend, was watching me and he threw a newspaper on the bed.”

“It was me. Papped. Leaning over the bonnet of a car shouting at someone and pointing. No recollection. The bathroom door of his flat had been pulled of its hinges and a lamp lay on the floor.”

Denise went on: “Lincoln [Denise’s husband] had stopped drinking two months before. I had told him I didn’t have as big of a problem. I did. A huge one. He told me he loved me but he couldn’t live like this.”

“The thought of losing him terrified me. I was depressed, anxious, scared, embarrassed, appalled at my behaviour and full of shame.I gave up drinking that night. It is the best decision I have ever made.

“Not just because I now have an amazing marriage to the love of my life, but because our three children [the artist also has a son from a previous relationship] can live their lives knowing that we’re safe and happy. Their lives aren’t led never knowing what or where we’ll end up.”

‘I’m grateful for every day I wake up sober’

Her post went on: “My husband is now a successful international artist and I’m still working on television and on stage. The ripple effect on our families is what I’m most proud of. The look of love and respect from those who love us is something I cherish every day.

“If alcohol is making you and the people you love unhappy it’s time to stop. There is help and support out there. I still suffer from episodes of clinical depression but they are not compounded by alcohol and drugs so my recovery is quicker.”

She finished off her post by saying: “I self medicated my illness for many years and became an alcoholic. I’m grateful for every day I wake up sober and I regained the respect I had lost. My children are proud of me and that’s the greatest gift of all. Thank you to @lincolntownley for being by my side every step of the way.”

    Denise’s ‘unwelcome visitor’ returns

More recently, Denise revealed a relapse in her battle with depression while on holiday in Los Angeles, to celebrate her eldest son Matty Healy’s engagement.

“The second half, when the sun came out, was absolutely gorgeous,” Denise began.

“But the first half, sadly, was blighted by a return of my unwelcome visitor. After five years clear of that illness and not having any symptoms, I had a breakdown before Christmas, which I talked about. I had to pull out of the pantomime. It was only the second time I’ve ever had to do that in my career.

She added: “Then I was well, and I went off to LA excited. Two days in, I went to a market to meet a friend. I was paying for a little trinket… and suddenly I got the panic and the tingling in my palms and the metallic taste in my mouth. Within a minute, the depression was on me. That’s how mine comes on.”

    Beating her food addiction

This weekend (July 20), Denise has spoken about her food addiction – and how she beat it. Speaking to The Mirror, she revealed that, as a result of overcoming her addiction, she’s managed to shift two and a half stone.

When Denise got sober, she admits she quickly became “in danger of replacing one addiction with another” — food.

The star admits she was binge eating, but signing up to follow the LighterLife weight-loss programme was about far more than shifting the extra weight.

She shared: “LighterLife was the only company talking about the emotional side of eating, and using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to completely change my relationship with food.

“I was very newly sober so many of the things that I was learning through CBT, I was able to apply to my sobriety also.”

Bonnie Blue’s Channel 4 documentary 1,000 Men and Me launch date confirmed as star reveals sad downside of fame!

She’s about to, erm, open herself up to a whole new audience

With her Channel 4 documentary out next week, Bonnie Blue has admitted she misses the “sense of freedom” she enjoyed before shooting to prominence as an adult content creator.

Last year, Bonnie Blue, 26, made headlines around the world by sleeping with more than 1,000 men in 12 hours. The stunt was widely slammed, with Channel 4 expected to come under fire as its documentary airs next week.

But with the star admitting she “doesn’t regret” her chosen career path, she has revealed that she sometimes misses her old life…

Lindsay Lohan is determined to be ‘fully involved’ in her films

Bonnie Blue Channel 4 documentary explained

1,000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story will examine her life at the time of the stunt and in the months following. It’ll also offer a behind-the-scenes insight into what happened on the day.

Victoria Silver, director of the film, said: “Bonnie Blue refuses to conform to public opinion and lives life by her own rules. At a time when factual TV is awash with retrospective stories, I wanted to capture the energy of a live and evolving story, with a woman at the heart of it who’s living her life in such a bold way.”

I wish I could just be Tia, where it’s just me and my friends and it’s how it used to be.

But how will viewers react to the star, who first grabbed our attention with her homemade “Bonk me for free and let me film it” signs and having sex with “barely legal teens”?

Already Bonnie – who recently revealed she’s eyeing up an I’m A Celebrity… appearance – has revealed her fame has come at a cost…

‘I wish I could have the best of both worlds’

Speaking to the Daily Star, Bonnie – real name Tia Billinger – has admitted that she craves the life she had before she found fame as an adult content creator.

She said: “I can’t leave the house without security now. I basically can’t do anything by myself. I can’t go on a walk, I can’t take my dog out by myself. I’ve lost all sense of freedom, it does get hard at times. I can’t do anything. I know I’ve put myself in this situation so I’m not ever asking anyone to feel sorry for me and I continue to try and grow, so it’s not putting me off.”

However, she added: “I tried to go on a night out with my friend and my sister recently and it just ended up me taking photos for hours and hours. For my sister and my friends, they wanted to call it a night early because they were having to just stand there while people were coming up constantly. Whereas before, we would go out, we would use straws as microphones, we’d be dancing like weirdos, we’d just have such a good time, we wouldn’t care.”

Bonnie – who recently told Andrew Tate she would’ve slept with Hitler – concluded: “I wish I could have best of both worlds. I wish I could be some days Bonnie Blue going out and partying and other days just be Tia, where it’s just me and my friends and it’s how it used to be.”

  • What happened to the man who said he was King Charles and Queen Camilla’s son!

What happened to the man who said he was King Charles and Queen Camilla’s son!

    Can you see a resemblance?

It’s not often whispers within the royal world sends shockwaves around the globe – but one ‘love child’ named Simon Doronte-Day did when he claimed he was the secret son of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

If you cast your mind back to 2016, this is when Simon conducted his first interview where he declared to the world he was the secret love child of Camilla, the then Prince of Wales. Speaking to Sunrise, the Australian alleged the duo had welcomed him in 1966 but put him up for adoption.

We take a look at the bizarre story that appeared from almost a decade ago, and ask where Simon is now – what happened to King Charles’ and Queen Camilla’s ‘secret son’?
Simon Dorante-Day speaking on SunriseSimon Dorante-Day says he is the secret son of Queen Camilla and King Charles (Credit: Sunrise)

    Who is Simon Doronte-Day?

Simon lives in Australia and has long claimed to be the love child of King Charles and Queen Camilla. He says he was adopted as a baby at eight months old in England and moved to Australia as a child.

But before moving abroad he says he can remember meeting with a wealthy couple who he believes were his parents. He also claims his adoptive grandparents worked for the royal family.

Simon is convinced his parents are the current king and queen of Britain, and that Camilla gave him up to adoption as she’d have been just a teenager at the time of Simon’s birth. His allegations would mean Camilla would have been 18 and Charles 17 years old at the time.

He also believed his eyes were chemically changed from blue to brown and that his teeth were deliberately ground down to change his appearance.

Simon Doronte-Day claims he is King Charles and Queen Camilla’s secret son

The Australian has claimed for several years he is the son of Charles and Camilla, and says he has had requests for a DNA test rejected.

He said his grandmother, who he claims worked for the late Queen Elizabeth II, told him he was Charles and Camilla’s love child while on her deathbed.

Ahead of the royals’ 2024 tour of Australia and Samoa he claimed he planned to take them to court for a DNA test. However, nothing came of it.

There were reports the king and queen’s security were on ‘high alert’ after his comments. They claimed he was put on a ‘watchlist’ by a protection expert after making a public stir.

‘Evidence’ he is a royal love child

In a bid to prove he was the love child of Charles and Camilla, the then 55-year-old posted a photo of himself next to Prince William in 2021. He claims the similarities between the two men were ‘uncanny’.

At the end of December 2023, he further claimed a private investigator knocked at his door in the early hours. The woman told Simon she was the ‘secret daughter of Prince Philip’ and wanted his DNA to prove they were related to each other. But he says it was a scam to get his DNA illegally.

In 2024, he made another attempt to reinforce his claim by sharing a photo of his daughter Merian. He has posted a lot of what he believes is ‘proof’ his tale isn’t fiction.

Simon also wrote on social media: “My adopted mother Karen told me herself in 1998 that my eyes ‘changed’ from blue to brown when I was eight years old and when I asked her to confirm the year, she stated in 1974.

“She also told my wife, Dr Elvianna, on several occasions my eyes were blue, and the first time was following the birth of our first son Simon Jr. in 1994.”

He added: “I know it happened – It’s not something you forget, the pain, the irritation, my eyes were so red and swollen for 6 months.”

However, Simon told 7News that he hoped his supporters go beyond just comparing photos.

The dad-of-nine said: “Supporters and visitors to my Facebook pages are always sending me comparisons.

“But it’s important for people to know that my belief that Charles and Camilla are my parents isn’t based on photos.

“I have a lot of research that backs up my claims, a lot of evidence.

“And I want people to remember that my case has spent a long time in the courts, trying to find a resolution, and my legal battles are still continuing.”

    ‘Bond’ with Prince Harry

After the rift between Prince Harry and the royal family erupted beyond repair over the past few years, Simon came out to support the Duke of Sussex.

In March 2025, he said the two had a ‘bond’ because they were the “black sheep of the royal family”.

He told Channel Seven: “I believe Harry would be receptive to my plight. He has a bone to pick with Charles. Just like I do.”

Simon also wants to meet his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, claiming his wife shares similarities with Meghan Markle.

“When people say he looks very nervous and jumpy, I understand where Harry is coming from with that,” he added. “I can tell that he’s worried about someone attacking Meghan and saying something that will force her to react. My wife is the same, so I can relate.”

Simon gave Harry some sound advice as well: “Harry is to let her go, to let Meghan say what she wants to say. People have been racist and insensitive to Meghan, she should give it back to critics without people looking down on her … People are so ignorant.”
Prince Charles and Duchess CamillaPrince Charles and Duchess Camilla have children from different former partners (Credit: SplashNews)

Problems with the theory he’s Charles and Camilla’s son

Simon claims the couple were teenagers when they had their illegitimate son, but official records show the king and queen didn’t meet until 1971. Camilla was 23 and the then Prince of Wales was 22, meaning these dates don’t add up.

The duo couldn’t have had a child as they wouldn’t meet until years later.

Buckingham Palace and Clarence House has never responded to Simon’s claims.

Where he is now? Simon says he is still fighting two cases in the Supreme Court of Queensland, representing himself. They are unrelated to a DNA test request, but he says he wasn’t put on any ‘watchlist’ during the couple’s royal tour. He is still fighting to prove his belief he is related to the royals.

    Linda’s health issues

Linda has really been through the mill in recent years, and has also battled Crohn’s since her thirties.

Crohn’s is a condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system. And Linda has had to undergo multiple operations to remove damaged parts of her bowel over the years.

In late 2021, Rylan revealed on his BBC Radio 2 show that his mum Linda had been diagnosed with skin cancer. “So Mummy, and it’s all fine, she’s got skin cancer on her face, but she’s absolutely fine. It’s not life-threatening and it’s just spread a little bit, so we’re getting it all cut away,” he said.

Rylan also shared in 2023 that his mother suffered a horror fall in Marbella. She broke an arm and a leg and had to have emergency surgery before they both flew home on a private plane he had chartered.

Before concluding the February 20 episode of Question Time, Fiona – on screen in Antiques Roadshow tonight (July 20) – took a moment to remember her friend who sadly passed away.

“Before we go… very sadly, last week, we lost a well-loved…,” she said, before looking down and choking back tears.

After composing herself, Fiona continued: “Alison Fuller had worked on this programme for 27 years.” The host explained she was in charge of recruiting the audience for Question Time.

It was a very short and sudden illness and we were all shocked by her death and we miss her very much.

Alison has served as an audience producer on Question Time since 1998. She was from Dudley, England. At the very end of the episode, a picture of Alison appeared on screen, as the BBC dedicated the episode to her.

    ‘Most emotional’ episode

Question Time viewers were left deeply saddened by Alison’s death. One wrote on X that it “was one of the most emotional @bbcquestiontime #BBCQTs we’ve ever watched”. They also said: “Fiona Bruce displayed true empathy.”

Another person wrote in their tribute to Alison: “I first met Alison ‘Full House’ Fuller when she was the audience producer for Central Weekend – she will be missed.”

Meanwhile, Fiona has been presenting Question Time since 2019 after taking over from David Dimbleby.

She recently came under fire for “interrupting” her guests amid a discussion about current Labour’s economic plan, while trying to push an “agenda” on live TV.

  • Queen Camilla’s practical approach to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘attacks’ on the royal family!

Queen Camilla’s practical approach to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s ‘attacks’ on the royal family!

The queen consort stands by her husband…

As Prince Harry and King Charles’ reportedly take steps to heal their rift – where does Queen Camilla stand with the duke and Meghan Markle?

The queen has been Charles’ right-hand confidant for many years as a supportive wife, being at his side for the death of his parents as well as the breakdown of his relationship with his second-born son.

However, after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021, and the claims he made against Queen Camilla in his memoir, where does that leave the royal?

Queen Camilla ‘stays out of it’ when it comes to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The royal rift came to light before Meghan and Harry left The Firm, during their first official royal tour. In 2019, after giving birth to Prince Archie, the Duchess of Sussex told TV crews that no one had asked how she was doing since joining the royal family.

Prince Harry also made headlines by appearing to allude to a strained relationship with his brother William during the trip. While he said they were moving in different directions, ‘they’ll always be brothers’.

By January 2020, the couple announced they were stepping back from their roles and headed for a new life in America.

Their high-profile interviews, bombshell Netflix docuseries and Harry’s memoir Spare appeared to rock the boat even further. The royal family only ever responded to their 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, where they released a rare statement declaring ‘while recollections may vary’ they would deal with the allegations ‘as a family’.

A royal source came out to say in July 2025 that Queen Camilla ‘stays out of it’ when it comes to the rift with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

But it doesn’t seem smooth-sailing where reconciliation is concerned for the other members of The Firm.

Prince Harry and Queen Camilla’s complicated relationship

In his memoir, the Duke of Sussex revealed he felt mixed emotions over his father’s relationship with Camilla. He claims he and William begged their father not to marry her.

The dad-of-two also accused the royal of leaking stories about him in the press to keep the spotlight away from her.

He wrote: “I had complex feelings about gaining a stepparent, who I thought had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.”

He doubled-down on this allegations during an interview with Good Morning America to promote his book.

Harry claimed: “She had a reputation or an image to rehabilitate, and whatever conversations happened, whatever deals or trading was made right at the beginning, she was led to believe that that would be the best way to doing it.”

When he was asked about his relationship with Queen Camilla, Prince Harry seemed to reveal he and Meghan Markle don’t have one with the king’s wife.

He said: “We haven’t spoken for a long time. I love every member of my family, despite the differences. So when I see her, we’re perfectly pleasant with each other. She’s my stepmother. I don’t look at her as an evil stepmother. I see someone who married into this institution, and done everything she can to improve her own reputation and her own image, for her own sake.”

Queen ‘can’t forgive Sussexes’ over their treatment of Charles

It comes after royal expert Camilla Tominey wrote in The Telegraph in 2021 that the then Duchess of Cornwall wouldn’t forgive the duo for their ‘attacks’ in the media.

Ms Tominey said the insider claimed: “I don’t think the Duchess will ever forgive Meghan for what she’s done to the Prince of Wales.”

Another source said that Charles was deeply affected by Harry’s comments and found it “really hard”.

An insider added: “When he [Charles] becomes king, she’ll understand the need to be by his side – as the Duke of Edinburgh was for the Queen – and I don’t think she’s daunted by that.”

Harry’s pleas to speak to his father

Prince Harry recently made a televised plea for his father to speak to him, after revealing King Charles was giving his son the silent treatment.

Following the duke losing his appeal to reinstate state-funded security when he and his family visit the UK, he agreed to a rare interview with the BBC.

Harry said Charles “won’t speak to me because of this security stuff” and claimed “I don’t know how much longer my father has”, referring to the monarch’s cancer diagnosis in 2024.

Months later, and Charles and Harry’s senior aides were seen taking part in what has been dubbed a ‘secret peace summit’ for the royal family. It’s said it is the first step to restore the broken bond between Harry and the rest of his family.

  • Inside Rose Ayling-Ellis’ friendship with hunky Code of Silence co-star Kieron Moore!

Inside Rose Ayling-Ellis’ friendship with hunky Code of Silence co-star Kieron Moore!

    Their chemistry is undeniable

Former Strictly Come Dancing champion Rose Ayling-Ellis scored another big win earlier this year as Code of Silence captivated ITV viewers.

She played Alison, a deaf canteen worker recruited by police to assist with them by lipreading. But before long, Alison wasn’t just reading lips – she was locking them with those of gang member Liam, played by hunky actor Kieron Moore, after she went rogue and inserted herself into the operation far deeper than she was ever meant to go!

Away from the cameras, Rose and Kieron appear to have remained close, with nights out and love heart-punctuated posts finding their way on both of their social media accounts.

So has Rose made fans’ dreams come true and started dating Kieron in real life? Or are they just good friends? Here, ED! takes a look at the evidence…

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Kieron Moore’s ‘chemistry’

Kieron and Rose’s characters burned up the screen with their improbable but charged relationship. So much so, viewers couldn’t help but ponder the two performers’ chemistry together.

“#CodeofSilence The chemistry between #roseaylingellis and #kieronmoore is electric,” just one onlooker among many posted on X.

“Love the chemistry between Alison and Liam,” agreed another.

A third used six fire emojis alongside their words as they wrote: “Damn! That chemistry.”

Meanwhile another shared: “Kieron and Rose – their chemistry together was so beautiful to watch play out. These two deserve an award all on their own. And that’s why Liam and Alison have my entire heart because of the chemistry that these two had.”

So has it translated into a real-life love story? ED! has so far had no response from reps when we asked the question…

Kieron recently shared a picture of himself cuddling up to Rose, telling her he was ‘proud’ of her – she reposted with a love heart (Credit: Instagram)

‘I felt so safe with Rose’

Sure to set tongues wagging further, Kieron has admitted he’s never been “truly listened to” until he met the lovely Rose.

Seemingly acknowledging how fans might ship their characters very hard, he revealed about their connection: “Rose and I didn’t do a chemistry test, which is quite insane. We just met [in person] on the first day of filming.”

He continued to gush about the rapport they built: “Arguably, I think it goes to show when you’re truly paying attention to someone and you’re truly invested in them, chemistry is undeniable.”

Kieron also said. “I felt so safe with Rose. And I think anyone who meets Rose will come to say this: I felt like I’d never been truly listened to until I met Rose. She pays so much attention to you when you talk that I was constantly learning how to be a better person, as well as being a better actor, which I think I had in common with Liam.”

And that’s not the only time Kieron has referred to his co-star affectionately .

Reflecting on how their characters’ intense relationship was expressed through their acting, Kieron previously complimented the former EastEnders star: “Rose is the most fascinating human being I’ve ever met. I’ve gained such a friend as opposed to just a colleague.”

He went on: “We were intrigued by each other, we were curious, and we just both wanted it to be the best that it could be.”

‘Communication is much more than talking’

The pair’s ease in each other’s company has also been evident in interviews they did to promote Code of Silence, including on This Morning.

Additionally, in another chat, he was asked what they learned from each other during the filming process. Kieron replied: “I really feel like I learned how to listen properly from Rose. You know, communication is much more than talking. And trying to hear each other… it is the engagement, the eye contact, your body language. And I thank you because I’m going to carry that for the rest of my life.”

I’m going to carry that for the rest of my life.

For her part, Rose said how they both ensured the other was “very comfortable in every single scene”. She added: “We always talk to each other before we start a scene. And being a team, that’s really nice.”

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Kieron Moore – popping up on each other’s socials

And then there are the social media appearances. Over the past couple of weeks, Kieron has featured in Rose’s Instagram Story posts at least twice.

Early on in the month, Kieron posted a picture of himself and Rose cuddling on his Stories. He wrote: “So proud of you, superstar.” She reposted it on her Instagram, adding a yellow heart emoji.

Earlier this week, Kieron posted – and Rose reposted – a series of pictures taken in a photobooth. In one picture, Kieron is giving Rose a piggyback, while she holds another set of photos. In those photos, he can be seen kissing her on the side of the head.

Most likely the colleagues may have work reasons to pop up on each other’s socials. But their fond body language also indicates a strong friendship. One, no doubt, fans will be thrilled by.

Are they both single and ready to mingle?

Last we heard, Rose was on celebrity dating app Raya, looking for love. It came after she and her long-term beau Sam Arnold had split following her star turn on Strictly.

All signs point to Kieron being single. Fans have speculated about his love life, but he keeps things private, focusing more on his career and creative passions.

Lando Norris breaks silence on a shocking internal problem at McLaren that fans weren’t supposed to know about. His brutally honest words hint at a much deeper crisis inside the team – one that could seriously affect their 2025 championship hopes.

McLaren’s Nightmare Start to 2023: What Went Wrong and Where They Go from Here

McLaren entered the 2023 Formula 1 season with optimism, promising developments, and the fresh face of rookie Oscar Piastri. But that hope was quickly shattered in a disastrous opening race that showcased mechanical failures, strategic missteps, and fundamental design flaws. What was supposed to be a new chapter has rapidly become a cautionary tale. This article breaks down what went wrong for McLaren, why it happened, and what the future might hold for one of F1’s most storied teams.

    A Catastrophic Opening Weekend

McLaren’s start to the 2023 season in Bahrain was nothing short of disastrous. Rookie Oscar Piastri was forced to retire due to an electronic issue, his debut ending in frustration. Meanwhile, Lando Norris had to pit six times due to persistent air pressure leaks in his car — a situation that turned his race into a glorified test session.

For a team with McLaren’s pedigree, this was unacceptable. Just a few seasons ago, McLaren was hailed as the “best of the rest,” grabbing podiums and even a race win in Monza in 2021. The contrast couldn’t be starker.

A Flawed Car From the Start

The MCL60, McLaren’s 2023 challenger, has been the main source of criticism. From poor tire degradation to recurring reliability issues, the car has shown that it’s not only uncompetitive but fundamentally flawed. According to team principal Andrea Stella, the issue that ended Piastri’s race was not with the steering wheel swap, but with deeper wiring faults in the electronics — an issue that is both complex and alarming in modern F1 standards.

Even worse, Lando Norris’s recurring pit stops were due to an air pressure leak that limited him to stints of just 10–11 laps. Instead of retiring the car, McLaren kept him on track, hoping for a miracle safety car — which never came. Norris, ever the professional, jokingly said at least the pit crew got plenty of practice. But under the humor was a deeper frustration.

    Leadership Under Fire

Much of the criticism has landed on CEO Zak Brown, who now finds himself in arguably the most precarious position in the F1 paddock. Many fans and pundits question the overall direction of the team under his leadership — especially after the high-profile departure of Andreas Seidl, who left for Sauber/Audi, likely after losing faith in the McLaren project.

Brown’s decision to part ways with Daniel Ricciardo — paying the Australian a reported $15 million to leave — also looks increasingly questionable. Ricciardo was replaced by Piastri, a talented but inexperienced rookie. The underlying issue? Regardless of who’s in the cockpit, the car is simply not competitive.

    A Tactical and Strategic Misfire

McLaren has openly admitted that they missed their design targets with the MCL60. Their car concept was fundamentally compromised by the late realization that their development direction was wrong. Technical Director James Key explained that the team’s performance woes began when they made changes to accommodate the FIA’s 15mm floor height adjustment — a rule introduced to combat porpoising.

This minor-sounding change had a significant impact on aerodynamics. While most teams managed to adapt, McLaren’s concept lost more downforce than anticipated. The team then decided — late in the development cycle — to change design direction altogether, hoping to recover performance by mid-season. But the damage had already been done. The team failed to prepare their updated spec in time for Bahrain and instead pinned their hopes on future upgrades, expected around Baku.

    Oscar Piastri: Regretting His Decision?

Oscar Piastri, one of the most highly rated rookies in recent F1 history, might already be questioning his choice. The young Australian famously chose McLaren over a more stable seat at Alpine, believing McLaren offered a better long-term project. But instead of launching his career with a competitive machine, he’s been thrown into a team in crisis.

The juxtaposition is painful: while Piastri retired due to mechanical failure, Alpine’s Pierre Gasly surged from the back of the grid to finish ninth, showcasing the kind of drive Piastri might have had if he’d made a different decision.

Lando Norris: Loyal, but for How Long?

Lando Norris has long been viewed as a McLaren golden boy — quick, loyal, and full of potential. But even his patience has limits. After years of carrying the team, Norris now faces the prospect of another wasted season, despite being in the prime of his career.

While he stayed remarkably upbeat in interviews, praising the raw pace of the MCL60 (when it worked), it’s clear that his loyalty is being tested. If McLaren can’t deliver a competitive car soon, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Norris look elsewhere, especially with potential vacancies opening at top teams in the coming years.

The Bigger Picture: How Did It Get This Bad?

How did McLaren fall so far, so quickly?

Late development choices: McLaren’s pivot in car concept came too late in 2022 to prepare the right package for 2023.

Ineffective leadership transition: Losing Andreas Seidl left a vacuum that Andrea Stella is still trying to fill.

Technical stagnation: While other teams pushed aggressive designs, McLaren remained conservative — and paid the price.

Limited preseason testing: Without enough mileage, many of the car’s issues weren’t identified until it was too late.

According to James Key, if McLaren had pivoted their design even four weeks earlier, they might not be in this mess.

    Looking Ahead: Is There Hope?

The team is now banking on major upgrades — both in the form of a new wind tunnel facility and an in-season upgrade package. However, those improvements aren’t expected to make a real difference until 2024. For the remainder of 2023, McLaren’s drivers and fans may have to endure more pain.

Still, there’s a flicker of optimism. The new development path, though late, shows promise in simulations. And if the team can learn from its mistakes and execute its new direction effectively, there’s hope for recovery.

    Final Thoughts

McLaren’s 2023 season began not with a roar but with a whimper — or perhaps more accurately, the hiss of leaking air pressure and the silence of a car that wouldn’t restart. For a team that once battled for championships, this fall from grace has been both shocking and painful.

While the leadership claims to be steering the ship back on course, time is running out. Piastri’s future, Norris’s loyalty, and the patience of the fans all hang in the balance. The rest of 2023 will be a test not just of engineering, but of resilience, vision, and leadership.

Will McLaren rise from the ashes, or is this the beginning of a long and slow decline? Only time — and results — will tell.
