Ozzy Osbourne and King Charles’ unlikely bond including monarch’s ‘gift’ after bike accident!

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22 at the age of 76

Ozzy Osbourne, the self-proclaimed “Prince of Darkness” who has died aged 76, may have seemed an unlikely friend of the British monarchy, but behind the heavy metal image was a surprising bond with King Charles.

The Black Sabbath frontman forged a connection with the monarch and the royal family over the years.

Ozzy Osbourne sang for Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace

One of Ozzy’s most iconic royal moments came in 2002, when he was invited to perform outside Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth II’s golden jubilee.

He joined other music legends such as Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, and Brian May to celebrate the queen’s 50-year reign.

Ozzy performed Paranoid in front of the now monarch, then Prince Charles, and a live audience of over one million people gathered across London.

“I’m thrilled to bits. I’m in shock, I feel like I’m going to wake up and it’ll all be a big dream,” Ozzy told ITN at the time.

Ozzy also vowed to be on his “best behaviour” at the time.

While the invitation surprised many, including Ozzy himself, he took the honour seriously, calling it the pinnacle of his career.

Ozzy said in an interview: “Heavy metal at the palace? I’m not sure whether the queen is a fan, but obviously she must be.”

He later described Queen Elizabeth as “a beautiful woman” after meeting her during the event.

Ozzy Osbourne and King Charles’ unlikely bond

In 2006, Ozzy and his wife Sharon attended a royal reception at Clarence House to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Prince’s Trust.

Charles also hosted a special concert at the Tower of London in support of his charity.

Ozzy performed Crazy Train and Paranoid at the charity concert in front of Charles, Camilla, and Princes William and Harry.

Charles’ ‘gift’ to Ozzy after bike accident

However, this warm exchange wasn’t the first interaction between the future king and the rockstar.

In December 2003, Ozzy was left with “catastrophic injuries” in a quad bike accident at his Buckinghamshire estate.

The crash left him with a broken collarbone, fractured ribs, and a broken vertebra in his neck.

As he recovered, Ozzy received an unexpected gesture from Charles, a bottle of Scotch sent as a get-well gift.

“He’s a very, very nice man,” Ozzy recalled in 2022 in an interview with the New York Post. “He’s always treated me with the utmost respect. When I had my bike accident, he sent me a bottle of Scotch. I wish him all the best.”

Ozzy’s wife Sharon also revealed on TalkTV that Charles had written to Ozzy during a later health scare.

When I had my bike accident, he sent me a bottle of Scotch. I wish him all the best.

“When my husband got sick, he wrote to him,” she said. “He’s the same age as Ozzy. And so he kind of gets it. He says, ‘We’ve done very well so far and this is just a little hurdle.’”

Did Ozzy Osbourne have a knighthood?

Despite his legacy as one of Britain’s most influential musicians, Ozzy was never officially knighted. However, in 2014, a fan-led petition calling for his knighthood gained more than 14,000 signatures.

Ozzy responded with humility at the time.

“Getting knighted? I can’t imagine anything better,” he told Time Out. “And my wife would become a Lady, which would be pretty cool. But I’m not gonna get upset if it doesn’t happen. I never thought I’d get further than Aston.”

Though he may not have received a royal honour, the Prince of Darkness always had the quiet respect of the king.

Katie Price’s heartbreak as she drops son Harvey off at new home: ‘I hate leaving you there’!

It was an emotional day for Katie

An emotional Katie Price has shared her sadness after dropping son Harvey off at his new home.

The TV star, 46, shares 22-year-old Harvey with ex Dwight York. Harvey is blind and autistic and has septo-optic dysplasia (a disorder of early brain development). He was also born with Prader-Willi syndrome.

Harvey previously lived in a residential college, but in February this year, he was forced to leave over his difficult behaviour.

Then in earlier this month, Katie revealed that Harvey is going “into the real world” and is set to move into independent living.

And this week, it was time for the big move as Katie traveled with Harvey to his new home and documented the bittersweet road trip.

This week, Katie took to her Snapchat and filmed herself and Harvey on the way to Southampton, where Harvey will be living in an independent living facility.

Driving to Harvey’s new home, Katie said: “I’m back in the van, we’re going to your new place until October. Are you excited?” Harvey replied: “Yes.”

Talking to her fans, Katie updated them: “I’m on my way to take Harvey to his next place after college. We’ve got about an hour and 20 drive and I don’t know how I’m going to feel leaving him there.”

Turning to Harvey, Katie admitted: “I hate leaving you there Harv.”

Katie ‘doesn’t like these days at all’

He then quipped: “It’s [explicit] innit mum,” causing Katie to giggle and say: “Stop making me laugh.” The mum-of-five then reassured him: “I’m going to come and see you on Saturday.”

She then started speaking to her followers again and shared: “So there you go. I’ll let you know how I feel when I’ve dropped him off.”

Putting her face in her hands, Katie confessed: “Oh I don’t like these days at all but he’s 23 and he’s got to go to residential now.”

Harvey ‘kicked out’ over ‘difficult’ behaviour

In February this year, Katie opened up about the uncertainty surrounding Harvey’s living arrangements after he was “kicked out” of his residential care for being “too difficult.”

Katie said at the time: “Harvey is supposed to be moving in four-and-a-half weeks. They’ve changed management and said they won’t be able to cater for Harv, because he’s too difficult.”

She continued: “So now I’ve got to find another placement for him… so yeah. More drama to deal with.”

Shedding light on Harvey’s living situation, Katie explained: “We worked months and months for that and he was told four-and-a-half weeks before that he couldn’t go there, and Harvey has been doing the countdown.”

Katie Price and Peter Andre’s daughter Princess strips to string bikini as fans hail ‘absolutely gorgeous’ look!

She’s certainly enjoying her trip to Mexico!

Princess Andre, the daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre, has wowed Instagram fans with her latest beach holiday pics.

The 18-year-old social media personality shared more snaps from her luxurious holiday in Mexico yesterday (Tuesday July 22) as she revealed where her heart lies.

Last week, fans speculated about whether Princess may have a new flame, following reports a couple of months ago she had split from her boyfriend. But while followers shared lots of love for Princess’ look in her new images, it seems her affections are currently focused on the idyllic location of her summer break.

Where has Katie Price’s daughter been on holiday?

Princess Andre appears to have been in Mexico for the past fortnight, going by the location tags on her Instagram uploads.

Furthermore, her latest pic on her main page confirmed how much she adores the resort she has been staying in.

“Mexico has my [white heart emoji],” she captioned a carousel of photos showing her on the beach as the waves lapped at her feet.

The smiley teen also showed off her tan as she posed in a navy blue White Fox Boutique top and white crochet shorts, layered over a blue bikini. In a later pic, she slipped off her shorts in posed kneeling in the sea.

Followers couldn’t lavish enough praise on her. Dozens of heart-eyed emojis and “absolutely gorgeous” remarks were left in the comments section. And thousands of users made it clear they had engaged with the Insta upload by giving the post a ‘Like’.

How did fans react to Peter Andre’s daughter pics?

Princess’ aunt Sophie, sister to Katie, was just one among many to register their approval through emojis.

And amid the “gorgeous” compliments, other fans gushed about Princess’ ‘mind-blowing’ appearance.

“Absolutely stunning photos sweetheart, enjoy the rest of your time,” one fan told her.

“Absolutely beautiful young lady… keep smiling… follow your heart,” advised another.

    Princess, you blow people’s minds.

Meanwhile, a third fan chipped in with: “Princess, you blow people’s minds. You’re beautiful, you’re flourishing. Beautiful career.”

Another urged: “Stay classy. Beautiful girl.”

Does Princess Andre have a boyfriend?

At the end of May, reports suggested Princess and her boyfriend of two years had gone their separate ways.

A source is told The Sun at the time: “She always kept her romance out of the public eye, and it will be the same with her split. They grew apart – they were each other’s first love, so it has been tough. But there are no hard feelings.”

However, last week some Insta users pondered the possibility of Princess having met someone new. That came after a ‘Joe’ popped up in her pics.

“Who is Joe?” one fan asked. Princess had mentioned the name as she highlighted how one young man seen embracing her hadn’t worn white like herself and the other chap.

However, thanks to the handles Princess tagged into her upload, and another response from her dad’s wife Emily Andre, it was made clear that romance was unlikely to be on the cards.

“Love my bros,” Emily wrote, also identifying Joe as one of her younger siblings in reply to another user’s query.

Jesy Nelson introduces her twins live on This Morning in emotional first interview since giving birth!

    Jesy gave birth in May

Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson showed off her adorable twins on This Morning today (July 23) during her first interview since giving birth.

After announcing she was expecting twins with boyfriend Zion Foster in January, Jesy documented her complicated pregnancy journey with fans.

Initially, Jesy revealed the terrifying news that there were complications and her twins “could die” as she was at pre-stage twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome. In March, she informed her followers that she had to undergo emergency surgery that would give her babies “the best chance” at surviving.

Following concerns, Jesy announced the surgery was a success. In May, she gave birth to twin daughters. “Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster,” she announced on Instagram.

    Jesy Nelson on This Morning

On Wednesday’s This Morning, Jesy made her television debut since welcoming her babies. She was joined by partner Zion and Dr Ruwan, who helped guide the couple through their pregnancy journey.

While being interviewed by hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, Jesy and Zion were beaming with joy.

“We made it!” Jesy said with excitement as she was holding Ocean, and Zion was holding Story.

Due to being identical twins, Jesy admitted that the pair gets confused about who is who. “When they haven’t got their hats on, Ocean, bless her little heart, she’s receding a little bit, so that’s how I can tell. But when they’ve got their little hats on, it’s very hard to tell,” she explained.

Appearing on the show at just 69 days old, Jesy said she welcomed them into the world at 31 weeks and 5 days old.

When finding out they were expecting twins, the Touch hitmaker said it was a “complete surprise”. She added: “You should have seen Zion’s face, it was like he had seen a ghost!”

However, she was completely unaware of the complications of carrying twins. “I couldn’t believe the percentages and what could potentially happen to them. I feel from that point, I couldn’t enjoy my pregnancy because I was just constantly worried that something was gonna happen,” Jesy admitted.

The chart-topping singer revealed she had a “threatened miscarriage” early on, which caused Jesy to not want to announce her pregnancy.

    ‘We practically lived in hospital’

Once Jesy’s surgery to save her babies was a success, she went into labour 10 weeks later. Her children were prematurely born, which meant the babies had to stay in the hospital for 10 weeks.

“We practically lived in hospital,” Jesy expressed while laughing.

While spending so much time in the hospital, Jesy praised the staff and the hospital, referring to everyone as “lovely”.

After being in such a “state of fear” during her pregnancy, Jesy admitted she felt “safe” and “didn’t want to go home”.

Jesy said her aim of appearing on the daytime show was to raise awareness. Dr Ruwan alarmed viewers who might be going through something similar that there is help out there and that there can be a positive outcome.

    ‘Jesy looks amazing!’

Following the interview, fans took to social media to praise Jesy.

“Aw Jesy’s babies are beautiful. She looks really happy too,” one user wrote on X.

“JESY LOOKS AMAZING,” another person shared.

“Thank you Jesy and Zion for raising awareness for such an important cause,” a third remarked.

Ozzy Osbourne’s final wish before death

Prior to his heartbreaking death, Ozzy performed with Black Sabbath for the final time at Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5.

Ozzy, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, had been vocal about wanting to move back to the UK from Los Angeles. The Changes hitmaker had explained he was “desperate to come home”.

“It’s time for me to spend some time with my grandkids,” he told The Guardian during an interview in May. “I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family.”

Following his performance in Birmingham, Ozzy had plans to settle in their home in Buckinghamshire with his wife Sharon Osbourne. Over the years, their move was delayed due to Ozzy’s health.

That said, his final wish was granted after he died alongside his loved ones back home in the UK.

“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” his family statement revealed.

“He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”

A cause of death has not been confirmed.

‘There was much hope that he would be around for a lot longer’

A close family friend told the Daily Mail that Ozzy died at his family’s Buckinghamshire home. His death was reportedly unexpected.

“Ozzy was always meant to come back to Britain to live in Buckinghamshire, it was where Sharon had spent so long preparing their family home for him,” they shared.

“There was much hope that he would be around for a lot longer than this but at one point there were fears they would not get him back from Los Angeles for the concert earlier this month.

The source added: “Kelly has been at the house a lot in the last week or so, so has Aimee. It is terribly sad for all of them, they really hoped he would be able to carry on for a bit longer.”

The family friend insisted it was “so lovely” that Ozzy was surrounded by his children — Aimee, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne — during his final moments.

Although her own heart was breaking, she also shared condolences for The Cosby Show star Malcolm-Jamal Warner, whose death was also announced on Tuesday.

Singer’s last moments and the battle to save him

The Mail reports that paramedics battled for two hours to save the star. A Thames Valley air ambulance landed in a field close to Welders House, the singer’s Grade II-listed mansion on Tuesday morning at around 10.30am. Paramedics then fought to save the singer’s life for two hours, it’s claimed.

Locals said they realised “something serious” was happening when they heard a helicopter hovering above Welders House and then saw it land nearby.  It was seen taking off again at around 12.30pm.

We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Chalfont St Giles yesterday.

One local said: “I went out to have a look and saw that it was landing close to Ozzy’s house. All of us were talking about it and wondering what had happened. We immediately feared it may be for him as he was known to be in fragile health. When we heard later that night that he had died it confirmed our worst fears.”

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Air Ambulance said: “We can confirm that our helicopter was dispatched to provide advanced critical care at an incident near Chalfont St Giles yesterday.”

Ozzy’s cause of death hasn’t been revealed. He has struggled with his health in recent years, though. He went public with his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2020.

    Ozzy’s final appearance

The rocker was able to bid an emotional farewell to his fans on stage this month. It came as he reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time since 2005.

“You’ve no idea how I feel – thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he told the crowd as he closed his final concert.

Before performing his encore, he told the crowd: “It’s the last song ever. Your support has enabled us to live an amazing lifestyle, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”

A message on screen then read: “Thank you for everything, you guys are [bleep]ing amazing. Birmingham Forever,” before the sky lit up with fireworks.

The night was made even more special as Ozzy’s daughter Kelly got engaged after her now fiancé Sid Wilson got down on one knee backstage. Although Ozzy did tell him: “You’re not marrying my daughter!”

    Family tributes

Ozzy was married to wife Sharon for 43 years. Together, they welcomed three children – Kelly, Jack and Aimee.

He also had two children with his first wife, Thelma Riley. The couple welcomed two children – Louis and Jessica – and Ozzy also adopted Thelma’s son Elliot.

Jessica posted a tribute to Ozzy earlier today (July 23). First, she posted a picture of a full rainbow on her Stories, not mentioning her dad. Then, she reshared a post featuring a picture of her dad. It had the words “Ozzy Osbourne 1946 – 2025” written on the picture.

Jessica then added her own tribute. At the top, she wrote: “RIP Ozzy.”

She’s the first family member to break their silence with a tribute of their own on social media. Jessica’s name wasn’t included in the family statement that announced his death. It was signed off: “Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.”

He changed his profile picture on Facebook and Instagram to a sombre black square. Comments underneath Louis’ new profile picture on Facebook shared condolences following his father’s death.

“Condolences to you and the family Louis! Thinking of you all,” said one. Another posted: “A legacy that will echo through time memorial. Glad for that. However when you strip it all back. You just lost your Dad. So, so sorry for that mate.”

A third said: “Just wanted to say how truly sorry I am for your loss. Your dad meant the world to so many of us. For me, he wasn’t just a music legend—he was part of the soundtrack of my life. His voice, his energy, his spirit—raw, human, unforgettable. Wishing you and your family peace and strength right now. We’re all mourning with you, and celebrating everything he gave us. In the book, she revealed that she and Ozzy had agreed to seek help from Dignitas, a Swiss assisted-suicide organisation, if either of them developed dementia. It stemmed from the death of Sharon’s father, Don Arden, back in 2007, from Alzheimer’s.

That same year, she told The Mirror: “We believe 100% in euthanasia so [we] have drawn up plans to go to the assisted suicide flat in Switzerland if we ever have an illness that affects our brains. If Ozzy or I ever got Alzheimer’s, that’s it — we’d be off.”

Sharon also revealed that the couple had told their three children – Aimee, Kelly and Jack – of their plan. She said: “We gathered the kids around the kitchen table, told them our wishes and they’ve all agreed to go with it.”

‘Do you think that we’re gonna suffer?’

In 2023, during an episode of Sharon’s family podcast, The Osbournes Podcast, her youngest child Jack questioned whether euthanasia was “still a plan” for his parents.

“Do you think that we’re gonna suffer?” Sharon jokingly responded. To which Jack replied: “Aren’t we already all suffering?”

“Yes, we all are, but I don’t want it to actually hurt, as well,” Sharon said. “Mental suffering is enough pain without physical. So if you’ve got mental and physical, see ya.”

Her youngest daughter Kelly chimed in about mentioning the possibility of surviving any potential illness. Sharon, however, insisted it doesn’t guarantee they’ll be able to function as normal.

“Yeah, what if you survived and you can’t wipe your own ass, you’re [bleep]ing everywhere, [bleep]ing, can’t eat,” she said.

‘My mum said it to get attention’

Kelly Osbourne then post a Story on her Instagram on July 11 – 11 days before her dad’s death. In it, she criticised viral content circulating about her parents and said Sharon had made the assisted suicide comments to “get attention”.

“Stop making articles or posts about how you think my parents are having a suicide pact,” she said. “That was bull[bleep] my mum said to get attention one time. And my dad’s not dying. Stop.”

Kelly also responded to AI-generated videos suggesting her father was unwell. “He’s not dying. Yes, he has Parkinson’s, and yes, his mobility is completely different than it used to be, but he’s not dying. What is wrong with you?”

🔥 NEWEY’s INSANE Upgrades for Alonso’s AI-Powered Car – The Ultimate Game Changer!

The Future of Formula 1: AI, Adrien Newey, and the Aston Martin AMR25

Formula 1, a sport known for its cutting-edge technology and the skill of its drivers, may be on the brink of a revolution that could change the very nature of racing. The buzz around the paddock isn’t about a new engine or an aerodynamic tweak—it’s about artificial intelligence (AI). Aston Martin, under the guidance of legendary engineer Adrien Newey, has reportedly developed a car that isn’t just fast; it learns, adapts, and optimizes itself mid-race. This AI-powered car, the AMR25, could be the most groundbreaking development in F1 for decades, but it also raises questions about the sport’s future and its fundamental rules.

    A New Era in Racing

Reports from inside Silverstone and various F1 circles suggest that Fernando Alonso, after testing the AMR25, made a comment that has reverberated through the sport: “This is not a normal car. It feels like the car knows what I’m doing before I do it.” For a driver with as much experience as Alonso, this statement speaks volumes about the potential shift in F1 technology. Unlike any car seen before, the AMR25’s AI system appears to go beyond simple data logging, incorporating real-time adjustments based on every nuance of Alonso’s driving.

The car’s ability to process and learn from data during a race isn’t just about optimizing performance—it challenges the core philosophy of F1, where human skill has always been the defining factor. The introduction of AI into the cockpit raises a significant question: Where does the human driver end and the machine take over? This challenge to the balance of man versus machine is exactly what makes the AMR25 such a controversial development.

Adrien Newey: The Genius Behind the Revolution

At the heart of this revolution is Adrien Newey, a man whose designs have shaped some of the most dominant cars in F1 history. From Sebastian Vettel’s four consecutive championships to the near-perfect performance of Max Verstappen’s RB19, Newey has redefined what is possible in car design. His move to Aston Martin for 2025, with unprecedented resources and creative freedom, has allowed him to push the boundaries of automotive engineering even further.

Newey has always been a master of finding loopholes or interpreting regulations in ingenious ways. His innovative designs have often led to performance advantages that leave his competitors playing catch-up for entire seasons. The AMR25, however, is something entirely different. It’s not just a car with improved aerodynamics or power units; it’s a car that learns, evolves, and adapts dynamically during a race. This represents a paradigm shift in how F1 cars are developed and raced. With AI integration, Newey is not merely crafting a faster machine—he’s designing a car that is alive, thinking, and continuously improving.

AI: A Paradigm Shift or a Violation of F1’s Spirit?

In traditional F1, the driver is the central element of the car’s performance. While technology, from tires to aerodynamics, has always played a key role, driver input remains crucial. The introduction of AI to optimize a car’s performance in real-time, however, threatens to undermine this balance. By constantly adjusting the car’s parameters—such as engine mapping, differential settings, and brake balance—based on live data, the AMR25’s AI acts almost like a co-pilot. The car is not simply responding to the driver’s commands; it’s actively guiding and learning from the driver’s actions.

This adaptive optimization system has already shown its capabilities in practice sessions. Reports indicate that during simulations at Spa and Silverstone, the AMR25’s lap times continuously improved without any mechanical changes or pit stops. Normally, lap times degrade due to tire wear and fuel consumption, but Aston Martin’s car appeared to defy this logic, getting faster as the race progressed. In one instance, the AMR25 was reportedly 0.4 seconds faster than the Red Bull in the critical Sector 2 at Spa—a performance gap that is almost unheard of in F1.

The FIA’s Scrutiny and the Potential for Rule Changes

The implications of this AI-powered car have not gone unnoticed by the sport’s governing body, the FIA. Following the remarkable performance of the AMR25, FIA engineers requested access to Aston Martin’s telemetry data, but the team reportedly denied the request. This refusal has fueled suspicion and raised questions about whether the car is using technology that may not comply with F1’s regulations.

While the use of AI itself is not explicitly banned in the F1 rulebook, the FIA has strict rules against active driver assistance systems. Aston Martin argues that the AI system is simply optimizing the car’s performance rather than intervening directly with the driver’s inputs. In other words, the AI is adjusting the car’s settings to suggest optimal performance, not taking control of the steering or braking. However, this claim is likely to face scrutiny, and a special meeting of key F1 stakeholders is reportedly being convened to address these concerns and possibly introduce rule changes.

The growing concerns from rival teams, who are already scrambling to understand and replicate this technology, indicate that this could be the start of a technological arms race in F1. However, the bigger question remains: Will the FIA allow AI to play such a significant role in a sport where driver skill has always been paramount?

The Future of F1: Human vs. Machine

If the reports about the AMR25 are true, and if this technology is allowed to proliferate, the future of Formula 1 could be drastically different. Some believe that this is simply the next step in the evolution of F1 technology—an inevitable fusion of human brilliance and machine learning. Others, however, argue that allowing AI to play such a critical role could fundamentally alter the nature of the sport.

For Fernando Alonso, who is approaching the twilight of his career, the AMR25 could represent the ultimate triumph. If he were to win another championship with this car, it would not just be a victory for him but a victory for the fusion of man and machine. Alonso’s experience, combined with Newey’s genius, could create a team capable of rewriting the very rules of racing.

A New Era or the End of Traditional F1?

The development of AI-powered cars like the AMR25 raises the critical question of whether this represents the future of F1 or the end of traditional racing as we know it. The combination of human expertise and AI-driven optimization could lead to a new era of performance and precision, but it could also render the traditional F1 experience obsolete. As teams rush to either adopt similar technologies or push for regulatory changes, the sport is at a crossroads.

The pressure on the FIA to make a decision about AI in F1 is immense. Will they embrace this technology, allowing the sport to evolve, or will they push for strict regulation to maintain the balance between human skill and technological advancement? Either way, it’s clear that the introduction of AI into F1 is a game-changer. Whether this innovation will lead to a new era of racing or a ban on such technology remains to be seen. But one thing is for sure: Formula 1, as we know it, may never be the same again.
