Question Time host Fiona Bruce’s tears over death of BBC colleague

The episode was dedicated to producer Alison Fuller

Question Time host Fiona Bruce struggled to contain her emotions earlier this year as she announced the sudden death of her colleague, Alison Fuller.

Touched by Fiona’s display of “true empathy”, viewers took to social media to extend their support. The BBC presenter said she was “shocked” by the tragic death of Alison.

Fiona Bruce announces death of Question Time producer Alison Fuller

Before concluding the February 20 episode of Question Time, Fiona – on screen in Antiques Roadshow tonight (July 20) – took a moment to remember her friend who sadly passed away.

“Before we go… very sadly, last week, we lost a well-loved…,” she said, before looking down and choking back tears.

After composing herself, Fiona continued: “Alison Fuller had worked on this programme for 27 years.” The host explained she was in charge of recruiting the audience for Question Time.

It was a very short and sudden illness and we were all shocked by her death and we miss her very much.

“She was responsible for recruiting audiences, like you. We reckon she’s spoken to well over, I think, 100,000 audience members in that time,” the host added.

“It was a very short and sudden illness and we were all shocked by her death and we miss her very much. I just want to send my love to Ally’s family.”

Alison has served as an audience producer on Question Time since 1998. She was from Dudley, England. At the very end of the episode, a picture of Alison appeared on screen, as the BBC dedicated the episode to her.

    ‘Most emotional’ episode

Question Time viewers were left deeply saddened by Alison’s death. One wrote on X that it “was one of the most emotional @bbcquestiontime #BBCQTs we’ve ever watched”. They also said: “Fiona Bruce displayed true empathy.”

Another person wrote in their tribute to Alison: “I first met Alison ‘Full House’ Fuller when she was the audience producer for Central Weekend – she will be missed.”

Meanwhile, Fiona has been presenting Question Time since 2019 after taking over from David Dimbleby.

She recently came under fire for “interrupting” her guests amid a discussion about current Labour’s economic plan, while trying to push an “agenda” on live TV.

  • Inside Rose Ayling-Ellis’ friendship with hunky Code of Silence co-star Kieron Moore

Inside Rose Ayling-Ellis’ friendship with hunky Code of Silence co-star Kieron Moore

    Their chemistry is undeniable

Former Strictly Come Dancing champion Rose Ayling-Ellis scored another big win earlier this year as Code of Silence captivated ITV viewers.

She played Alison, a deaf canteen worker recruited by police to assist with them by lipreading. But before long, Alison wasn’t just reading lips – she was locking them with those of gang member Liam, played by hunky actor Kieron Moore, after she went rogue and inserted herself into the operation far deeper than she was ever meant to go!

Away from the cameras, Rose and Kieron appear to have remained close, with nights out and love heart-punctuated posts finding their way on both of their social media accounts.

So has Rose made fans’ dreams come true and started dating Kieron in real life? Or are they just good friends? Here, ED! takes a look at the evidence

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Kieron Moore’s ‘chemistry’

Kieron and Rose’s characters burned up the screen with their improbable but charged relationship. So much so, viewers couldn’t help but ponder the two performers’ chemistry together.

“#CodeofSilence The chemistry between #roseaylingellis and #kieronmoore is electric,” just one onlooker among many posted on X.

“Love the chemistry between Alison and Liam,” agreed another.

A third used six fire emojis alongside their words as they wrote: “Damn! That chemistry.”

Meanwhile another shared: “Kieron and Rose – their chemistry together was so beautiful to watch play out. These two deserve an award all on their own. And that’s why Liam and Alison have my entire heart because of the chemistry that these two had.”

So has it translated into a real-life love story? ED! has so far had no response from reps when we asked the question…

Kieron recently shared a picture of himself cuddling up to Rose, telling her he was ‘proud’ of her – she reposted with a love heart (Credit: Instagram)

‘I felt so safe with Rose’

Sure to set tongues wagging further, Kieron has admitted he’s never been “truly listened to” until he met the lovely Rose.

Seemingly acknowledging how fans might ship their characters very hard, he revealed about their connection: “Rose and I didn’t do a chemistry test, which is quite insane. We just met [in person] on the first day of filming.”

He continued to gush about the rapport they built: “Arguably, I think it goes to show when you’re truly paying attention to someone and you’re truly invested in them, chemistry is undeniable.”

Kieron also said. “I felt so safe with Rose. And I think anyone who meets Rose will come to say this: I felt like I’d never been truly listened to until I met Rose. She pays so much attention to you when you talk that I was constantly learning how to be a better person, as well as being a better actor, which I think I had in common with Liam.”

And that’s not the only time Kieron has referred to his co-star affectionately .

Reflecting on how their characters’ intense relationship was expressed through their acting, Kieron previously complimented the former EastEnders star: “Rose is the most fascinating human being I’ve ever met. I’ve gained such a friend as opposed to just a colleague.”

He went on: “We were intrigued by each other, we were curious, and we just both wanted it to be the best that it could be.”

‘Communication is much more than talking’

The pair’s ease in each other’s company has also been evident in interviews they did to promote Code of Silence, including on This Morning.

Additionally, in another chat, he was asked what they learned from each other during the filming process. Kieron replied: “I really feel like I learned how to listen properly from Rose. You know, communication is much more than talking. And trying to hear each other… it is the engagement, the eye contact, your body language. And I thank you because I’m going to carry that for the rest of my life.”

I’m going to carry that for the rest of my life.

For her part, Rose said how they both ensured the other was “very comfortable in every single scene”. She added: “We always talk to each other before we start a scene. And being a team, that’s really nice.”

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Kieron Moore – popping up on each other’s socials

And then there are the social media appearances. Over the past couple of weeks, Kieron has featured in Rose’s Instagram Story posts at least twice.

Early on in the month, Kieron posted a picture of himself and Rose cuddling on his Stories. He wrote: “So proud of you, superstar.” She reposted it on her Instagram, adding a yellow heart emoji.

Earlier this week, Kieron posted – and Rose reposted – a series of pictures taken in a photobooth. In one picture, Kieron is giving Rose a piggyback, while she holds another set of photos. In those photos, he can be seen kissing her on the side of the head.

Most likely the colleagues may have work reasons to pop up on each other’s socials. But their fond body language also indicates a strong friendship. One, no doubt, fans will be thrilled by.

Are they both single and ready to mingle?

Last we heard, Rose was on celebrity dating app Raya, looking for love. It came after she and her long-term beau Sam Arnold had split following her star turn on Strictly.

All signs point to Kieron being single. Fans have speculated about his love life, but he keeps things private, focusing more on his career and creative passions.

  • Good Morning Britain host Adil Ray hailed as he makes very catty ‘swipe’ at Lorraine

Good Morning Britain host Adil Ray hailed as he makes very catty ‘swipe’ at Lorraine

As she hosted the show while holding her baby granddaughter

Good Morning Britain presenter Adil Ray tickled viewers today (Friday July 18) as he mocked fellow ITV star Lorraine Kelly.

Lorraine normally fronts the morning show that bears her name between Mondays and Thursdays. It follows Good Morning Britain in the schedules – and she frequently pops up while that programme is on air to preview her own show.

However, fans were taken aback to see her usual Friday stand-ins Christine Lampard and Ranvir Singh weren’t deputising today. And they took to social media in their droves to register their reaction as Adil poked fun at Lorraine’s presence.

What did Adil Ray say to Lorraine on Good Morning Britain?

As Lorraine appeared on GMB to tease what was coming up on her show, Adil jokily highlighted his surprise at her being on shift.

Adil chuckled, sitting alongside fellow co-host Kate Garraway: “Lorraine is here after 9. In for Lorraine, in fact.”

An amused Lorraine replied: “How are you doing? It’s lovely to see you both!”

Friday’s instalment of Lorraine did come with another ‘host’ on screen, though. But it wasn’t Christine or Ranvir. Instead it was Lorraine’s baby granddaughter Billie, who was live in the studio!

Lorraine went on: “As you can see, a very special guest with me all morning. Baby Billie is here. Hooray! Good to see you little lamb. She’s just the best. The absolute best.”

The proud grandmother continued: “She’s nearly a year old. Next month. You’re a year old – we might have to have a party. It’s very, very exciting.”

How Good Morning Britain viewers reacted

Daytime telly fans immediately made their way to social media to express how funny they found Adil’s remarks. Others also joined in with the gag by repeating it.

“Adil straight up to her face just said ‘Lorraine sitting in for Lorraine’,” one fan posted on X. They continued, adding crying laughing emojis to their words: “I have a new-found respect for him now #lorraine #gmb.”

An incredulous onlooker wrote: “Sorry I’m confused, it’s a Friday yet #Lorraine is actually hosting her own show???????”

“Lorraine?!?! ON A FRIDAY,” echoed somebody else.

“The rarely spotted Lorraine actually doing her show on a Friday,” posted a fourth fan.

And someone else went with: “#lorraine How come she’s in on a Friday? Is it end-of-term party?”

Meanwhile, another X user reckoned they’d cracked the case. They wrote: “Now I understand why #Lorraine has turned up on a Friday. LOOK AT THE BABY LOOK AT THE BABY.”

And while many viewers were delighted to coo over little Billie, not everyone was won over.

“What’s the purpose of the baby being present for this segment? #Lorraine,” one X user sniffed.

England icon Paul Gascoigne was rushed to hospital after he was found to have collapsed at home. The 58-year-old former footballer was admitted to intensive care in hospital but is now said to be in a stable condition and recovering.

The ex-Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur star was found collapsed in his bedroom at his Poole house. And his pal who found him, Steve Foster, said: “He would like to thank everyone for the support he’s received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best.”

And among those wanting to see him back to his best is his former Love Island star daughter, Bianca Gascoigne. While the 38-year-old reality TV star and model isn’t said to be directly by his side, she is reportedly in close contact to keep informed about her star dad’s condition.

    Bianca, Paul and Regan

Bianca is one of three children Paul shares with his ex-wife Sheryl. Gazza adopted Bianca and her older brother Mason, who Sheryl welcomed with first husband Colin. Gazza adopted the pair after getting into a relationship with their mother. Gazza and Sheryl also share a biological son, Regan.

In 2014, Bianca also thanked her fans for their support of her dad. At the time, he had been found drunk outside his home and taken to hospital.

Fans were quick to send supportive messages to her on Twitter/X and she replied: “Thank you for your kind words.” She is yet to respond to his current situation.

In 2017, before Bianca entered the Celebrity Big Brother house she opened up about her relationship with her father and the fears she had. At the time, she was said to have told pals she’s worried about getting a phone call during her time on the reality show.

“I worry about Dad. We’ve become close over this last year,” she told a friend, according to the Daily Star Sunday at the time. “My absolute worst fear is getting that call in the house that the worst has happened.”

Four years later and Bianca shared a rare snap alongside her dad as they enjoyed a family day out. “One for the books,” she captioned the post which showed the duo laughing and smiling. “Moments like these I will cherish forever all the family back together.”

They were seen sticking their tongues out as they posed for the snap, before another showed her, Gazza and her brother Regan strolling through the town centre as they took advantage of the sunshine.

“Yoda, he is,” Bianca jokingly wrote in another as she placed a Yoda filter over the former sports star’s face as he sang and danced while walking alongside his daughter.

No further details have been confirmed about Paul’s latest health scare. It comes just months after he was said to be looking better than ever. “I feel better now than I have in years,” he told the Mirror in May.

He added: “I hope I am at a point that I can really look back over everything I’ve gone through in my life with a different – and more positive – perspective. After so many years in the spotlight, I feel like it’s time people got to know the real me.”

It comes as he prepared to release his new book titled Eight, named after the number 8 shirt he famously wore for England for Euro 96, as well as for Spurs.

David Beckham admits ‘it looks terrible’ as wife Victoria shares hair disaster

Victoria Beckham shared with fans a humiliating moment for husband David as she posted a clip of his hairdressing disaster which she honestly describes as ‘terrible’

David Beckham’s hairstyles have set the trend for most men over the years. But judging by Victoria Beckham’s recent Instagram post showing off his latest look, it doesn’t seem as though many will be following in his footsteps this time round.

The former pop star turned renowned fashion designer, 50, asks David while holding the camera to his face: “what have you done?”

When he refuses to respond, she asks him the same question again. Sheepishly, the former England football player looks away from the camera while strategically placing his hand on his head.

He then admits: ” The thing of the clippers fell off my head.” Revealing the accident, he bends his head towards Victoria who zooms in on his shaving disaster as she struggles to contain her laughter.

David Beckham tries to hide his shaving accident

Looking up at her, David says with a serious look on his face that it was “not funny.”

And in response, she the mum of four says: “Do you know the hours of content that the kids have got from this. It does not looks good. I’m going to always be honest with you. It looks terrible.”

And it seems her followers shared the same sentiment. One person wrote: “I like the victory laugh.” Another penned: “Look at the good side it’s summer and you can allow your head to catch sun rays. Victoria is very supportive and sincere.”

But not everyone seemed to agree as one person said: “I always find vb a bit condescending to David.” This comes after pictures emerged of their eldest son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham taking time out to enjoy a holiday in St Tropez.

And while there where pictures of the couple, who have only been married for three years, putting on a united front while hugging and kissing on her father’s yacht, body language expert Judi James spotted something completely different.

Nicola is seen clutching Brooklyn’s hand as they made their way off the yacht and she looked strained. And this prompted Judi to recognise that Brooklyn’s natural protective nature has kicked in amid the feud with his family.

In an exclusive chat with the Mirror, Judi explains: “With her distant, expressionless eye gaze and her hand either clutching Brooklyn’s arm or encased in his hand, Nicola is looking like the tragic heroine here, perhaps wanting to suggest some vulnerability and strain behind her normally cool and confident exterior.”

She added: “This is a look that might make most caring husbands wary and trigger their protective side, which is what appears to have happened with Brooklyn here. While his wife walks along in her dramatic black fur tippet and with her hand placed on her bag to provide an emphatic and perhaps symbolic display of her wedding rings, Brooklyn looks more relaxed and dominant.”

Judi continued: “Clutching her hand in his with his, with the back of his hand showing fully and the wrist bent in a protective clasp. His mood looks confident and even rather upbeat here as though he enjoys being the strong guy in the relationship. His chest is splayed, his arms are held out and there’s a smile brewing on his face.”

Coronation Street fans think they have worked out how Aadi Alahan will leave the ITV soap

There could be a sad Coronation Street exit twist airing very soon judging by new spoilers and recent episodes.

Aadi Alahan is leaving the soap, as reported earlier this year, with actor Adam Hussain bowing out after five years. We haven’t got an exit date yet for the character, but with his father Dev Alahan returning to Weatherfield after months offscreen, amid two big twists for his son, it seems it could be soon.

Aadi was caught up in drama just weeks ago when he planned to take LSD at a party only for someone else to unknowingly take it. That person, Lauren Bolton, nearly died and has yet to find out Aadi was involved.

He’s been trying to make amends by helping her out, and in upcoming scenes they grow closer – with this no doubt set to end in heartache. Also, Aadi was the victim of theft last week when someone robbed the shop.

He was later forced to confess to his stepmother Bernie Winter that this was the amount he was in debt after taking out a loan. He’d taken the money from the safe to pay off said loan, hoping the robbery would allow them to claim on the insurance.

Next week the drama continues when Aadi realises the insurance company won’t pay out. With the money gone, surely it’s only a matter of time before he’s forced to explain all to his father Dev.

Aadi is facing big trouble once he’s exposed for both the staged robbery and the LSD spiking, not to mention the betrayal towards his family with the theft of their money to fix his mistake, without telling anyone. With it confirmed Aadi is leaving the show soon, will this all lead to him leaving home for good?

Will Aadi tell Lauren the truth?

Could he face prison, or might he be kicked out by his relatives? Viewers certainly think so and that somehow it’s all linked. They have wondered if a sad exit is on the cards as he burns bridges with those on the cobbles.

One fan posted online: “Aadi is out of his depth with this robbery and love life. Everything is getting on top of him,” as another predicted: “I wonder if this will be when Aadi exits the show?”

A third viewer commented of the ongoing drama: “Aadi as if you let things get this bad wtf. Dev is going to go mad this is part of his exit storyline I think.”

Danny Dyer and Stephen Graham are set to work on a gritty new drama to rival hit Netflix series Adolescence. The powerhouse pair are putting their heads together for a show based on issues affecting society today, we can reveal.

“It’s a gritty new drama,” says an insider. “They are currently thrashing out what they want to do. It’ll be in the vein of Adolescence. Something unflinching and moving.” Adolescence, co-created and written by This Is England favourite Stephen, has broken records and been the most watched series of the year. It explores misogyny among teenage boys and sparked conversation about online safety, even being discussed in Parliament.

Rivals star Danny, 47, and Stephen, 51, last worked on 2009 film Doghouse, a British slapstick horror, together and have stayed good pals. The source said they’re planning a double date with their wives, Jo Dyer and Hannah Walters.

Danny previously called on Stephen to get him involved in one of his projects. Praising his hit Netflix series, Danny said: “It’s such an important subject but the fact they’re doing it one take. As an actor and being part of that world I find it f****** incredible. So, Steve [Graham], you’ve got to roll me into something. Stephen shared a rare insight into his relationship with his wife Hannah Walters in an interview with GQ, revealing that she reads scripts first for him because he is dyslexic, stating they have a “great little partnership”. “She’s me best mate for one,” he said when I ask about their relationship. “She’s funny as f***. John Torode makes TV return with wife Lisa Faulkner for first time since MasterChef axe

TV chef John Torode was sacked from BBC’s MasterChef earlier this week after he came forward about allegations he used an ‘offensive racist term’

TV chef John Torode has appeared on television for the first time since he was sacked from BBC’s MasterChef.

John, 59, was axed from the BBC broadcast show MasterChef earlier this week after he named himself as “one of the two individuals against whom an allegation has been upheld” during an investigation production company Banijay requested law firm Lewis Silkin undertake – which looked into allegations of misconduct surrounding John’s co-host Gregg Wallace.

The former MasterChef presenter, who had been working on the show for 20 years before his sacking, denied the upheld allegation. He said in a statement: “I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened. However, I want to be clear that I’ve always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. I’m shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence.”

It was later announced that John had been sacked from MasterChef, and he later released another statement to react to the news. However, since the two statements, he has remained silent on the matter – while it’s been reported he’s set to take legal action against the BBC over his sacking.

Now John and his wife Lisa have appeared on TV for the first time since the scandal broke. Opening the show after the credits rolled, Lisa was heard saying: “Hi there, we are so happy to see you in our weekend kitchen.”

John then added: “We’re gonna make your day even happier. How do you like the sound of stunning but simple recipes with just homemade ingredients.”

The couple have appeared on their shared ITV show, John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen, which has kicked off on ITV1 today at 11.40am. A source close to ITV confirmed to the Mirror earlier this week their schedules ‘remain unchanged’ despite John’s sacking from MasterChef.

On the programme, the married couple are making four dishes with five ingredients, which includes a garlic and rosemary focaccia, pink spaghetti, chicken and peanut butter scissor-cut noodles followed by banana doughnuts.

In an exclusive interview with the Mirror, Lisa shed light on how the pair balance work and their six year long marriage. She said: “We have so much to do separately, and we film about 10 episodes of our show in nine days, so it’s not really that much time together!”

John Torode and wife Lisa Faulkner host their own Saturday cooking showThe couple, who met on This Morning in the 1990s before Lisa won Celebrity Masterchef in 2010, didn’t initially become romantic – until John made self-confessed ‘cowardly’ move to ask her out.

The pair fell in love and married in 2019, and were given their joint cooking show in 2019. John and Lisa continued to put on a united front following the accusations around John’s co-host Gregg Wallace’s misconduct on MasterChef, which sparked production company Banijay to commission an independent investigation.

John and Lisa appeared on their show last week, with John breaking his social media silence for the first time since Gregg’s sacking was announced – posting a video to promote his show with wife Lisa as well as a video recipe he had created.

Days later, it was announced that the investigation by Lewis Silkin had upheld 45 allegations made against Gregg, while two claims implicating others were also upheld. John Torode later came forward as the subject of the allegation made involving racist remarks. He denied any recollection of the events and said they didn’t take place.

It was later announced John was fired from MasterChef after working on the programme for 20 years.

Motherland star Diane Morgan returns tonight as her alter-ego Mandy Carter, in hilarious 15-minute comedy shorts about a woman who just can’t hold down a job – however, there’s one particular guest star who fans may be surprised to see. Tonight’s (Monday 21 July) series four debut will see ITV star Martin Lewis make his acting debut in the BBC comedy, which sees Diane look for a new career.

Back at the employment centre, Mandy confesses she only managed to last 40 minutes in her latest gig as a dog food taster, but she did walk off with some (stolen) freebies.

It’s one sacking too many, so Mandy is put on a ‘restart scheme’ to get her back to work, which involves a cringey meeting in a town hall. Everyone says her image is part of the problem, so poor Mandy tries to shop for a new look, but the staff don’t even want her in the shop.

Later, minding the desk at her friend’s nail salon, Mandy runs into her high school nemesis. Look out for guest stars including ex- EastEnder Cheryl Fergison, Car Share’s Sian Gibson and even money saver Martin Lewis!

Mandy airs tonight at 10pm on BBC Two.

    Female Fishermen: Beyond the Buoys

When it comes to male-dominated careers, fishing has to be near the top of the list – of the 10,000 fishermen currently working in Britain, only 1% of them are female. But the tide is turning. An increasing number of young women are discovering this profession, and many believe female recruits could revitalise a flailing industry.

Brooke is only 20 years old, and enjoys going out on the boat, even though she’s not a morning person. Alongside her work as a nail technician, she also makes a living hauling in shellfish off the Isle of Skye, and has been nominated for a prestigious industry award.

Over on the West Highlands, we meet Erin, who spends a fortnight at a time battling the dangerous conditions of the North Atlantic to bring home delicious prawns. She admits that it can be tough sharing cabins with men and coping with rough seas, but she loves seeing the world from the water. Meanwhile, Emma skippers her own creel boat after following in her father’s footsteps.

She has proved herself (winning the same award Brooke is nominated for), but her proud dad admits that women face significant prejudice in the industry, with many fishermen not ready to accept this could be a woman’s world. Brooke faced similar attitudes, but was determined to prove her doubters wrong. Erin reflects on the declining numbers of young people going into the business, and explains people need to accept women if they want fishing to thrive in the UK.

Female Fisherman: Beyond the Buoys airs at 7pm tonight on BBC One.

Ella Al-Shamahi dives into DNA in BBC Two's Human

So many natural history programmes give us insights into other species, but this landmark series reveals the fascinating secrets of our own. Incredible advances in DNA mean that we now understand that all humans alive today who do not have African origins, descend from a small group of Homo sapiens, who migrated to the Middle East. They were the first group to leave Africa, and proved incredibly successful in their quest for survival.

Paleoanthropologist Ella Al-Shamahi explains how these humans managed to travel to Sri Lanka and make a home in the inhospitable rainforests there, hunting monkeys with hastily fashioned bone arrowheads. Ella also visits the Indonesian Island of Flores to introduce us to a species of human affectionately known as the ‘hobbits’, because of their likeness to the petite heroes of Lord of the Rings. How did this small but mighty species evolve and why did it fail to survive?

Human airs at 9pm tonight on BBC Two.

Eamonn Holmes, the former This Morning host, has reached out to his soon-to-be ex-wife and co-host Ruth Langsford for the first time publicly since their split. The famous couple announced their intention to divorce in June and have since gone their separate ways, with a quick resolution expected in the coming year.

After nearly six months of silence following their separation, 65-year-old Holmes, who has moved on to a new relationship, joined thousands of others in liking one of Langsford’s recent posts about her hopes for a family Christmas. She took to Instagram to share news of a tragic fall that had hospitalised her 93-year-old mother.

Alongside a picture of her mother’s clasped hands and their half-completed crossword, Langsford wrote: “Hospital visit….thank you all so much for your lovely messages and well wishes for my darling Mum. She’ll be in hospital for a bit longer yet, but she’s in pretty good spirits considering and I hope she’ll be home for Christmas.”

Holmes liked his ex’s post, joining celebrities like Cat Deeley and Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha in wishing his former mother-in-law a speedy recovery.

Ruth Langsford shared a heartfelt update with her over 1 million followers about her mother Joan’s health after a fall in December that fractured her pelvis, which disrupted their Christmas plans.

“No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas,” Langsford said on Instagram, revealing her mum’s condition.

“She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon.”

Amidst the personal challenges, Ruth and her estranged husband Eamonn Holmes are reportedly eager to finalise their divorce swiftly and part ways with their £3.5 million home, reports the Daily Mail.

While Ruth wishes to remain in the marital home for stability, Eamonn is looking to move on and has already started a new chapter with counsellor Katie Alexander, who is 22 years his junior. Insiders claim, “Ruth is keen to stay in their marital home as it is where she is settled, Eamonn on the other hand wants to get out and make a fresh start.”

The source added, “They aren’t dragging their heels and want this settled and done as quickly as possible.”

However, with her mum hospitalised due to a severe injury, it seems Langsford has gained some perspective. She shared on social media: “This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too.

“Put’s life and what’s important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas! “
