Spoilers for next week’s Coronation Street see drama, chaos and a new arrival, as well as an exit teased.

One character vows to leave amid a shock affair that threatens to tear a family apart. There’s a visit for one family from a relative, who makes their debut – played by an actress who has been on the ITV soap before.

Josephine Lloyd-Welcome will play Dev’s Aunty Rani, while she’s played different roles in the past on the ITV soap. More than one character takes revenge of sorts next week too, while there’s a discovery as we find out what Carla Connor has been hiding.

Let’s kick things off with the Websters, and an exit could be looming as an affair begins. With Kevin Webster still lying about his cancer results, making wife Abi Franklin believe he needs more treatment, his brother Carl Webster fights the urge to tell her the truth amid their secret feelings.

Abi does end up finding out the truth from someone else, confronting Kevin who admits his lie and explains he did it out of fear she would leave him for his brother Carl. He ends up pushing her straight into Carl’s arms though, and they begin to kiss passionately.

Despite their moment of intimacy, Carl tells Abi she would be right to stick with Kevin and that they should stay apart from now on. When Kevin sacks his brother from the garage after his recent dodgy dealings, Carl decides a fresh start is needed and he plans to move away from Weatherfield.

When Abi finds out she’s left gutted, but will Carl stay? And what will Abi do? Elsewhere, in the fallout to Lily Platt terrorising her cousin Sam Blakeman, he gets his own back next week with a fake story about a robbery at her home.

Lily’s left terrified unaware Sam has taken revenge after her recent behaviour. Soon, Sam is confiding in Toyah Battersby about his anxiety and his recent panic attacks – but will he tell his dad Nick?

There’s more drama for the Bailey family too, as James moves ahead with the adoption plans for his sister Dee-Dee’ daughter Laila, amid her torn over what she wants to do. Ed Bailey is keen for his kids to clear the air as they remain divided over Laila’s future, while James is plotting to leave – but will he take the baby with him?

Meanwhile Dee-Dee can’t help but smile when she bumps into newcomer Ollie who she recently met at the pub. There’s a new face on the show next week, as Dev’s aunt arrives ahead of his wedding to Bernie Winter.

When she shows up unannounced though the family panic, especially as Aunty Rani has offered to pay for the wedding – while Bernie and Dev’s son Aadi are still hiding the latter’s money issues. When Aunty Rani reveals her plan to create a spreadsheet detailing all the wedding costs so she can keep tabs on the amount she’s spent, Bernie and Aadi hide their dismay – but what are they up to?

There's more trouble ahead for Todd Grimshaw and new partner Theo Silverton

There’s more trouble ahead for Todd Grimshaw and new partner Theo Silverton. Todd has to attend a restorative justice session with Noah, after he attacked him recently over his past with Theo.

Todd had seen him practicing conversion therapy on a member of the congregation and took action, after Noah pushed Theo into this years earlier. But there’s a bigger twist ahead when Noah seems to take payback, and maybe Theo’s wife Danielle does too.

It’s revealed they are dating, much to the horror of Todd and Theo given what Noah did. Theo ends up lashing out but accidentally hurts his son Miles leading to him being told he isn’t allowed to see his kids.

When Billy Mayhew tries to help with the situation it backfires, leaving Theo lashing out once more and telling lies – with Todd horrified. Finally next week, we learn what Carla was hiding from her partner Lisa Swain amid her turmoil over her past.

Skipping therapy, Lisa instead spends some time at her late wife Becky’s grave ahead of their anniversary. Carla supports Lisa, and as the day arrives Lisa is clearly struggling.

Carla and stepdaughter Betsy Swain are worried about Lisa, knowing she’s not doing well at all. Lisa insists she’s okay though and heads off for another therapy session.

She does open up to her therapist, with us finally realising what is bothering the detective. She confesses that she often wonders if there was more to Becky’s death than meets the eye. With questions continuing over whether Becky was corrupt or not, it’s clear she needs to know what really happened to Becky and what was going on with her wife before her death in order for her to move on.

She has no idea that Carla is on a mission to get her those answers, with her visiting Logan Radcliffe in prison who clearly knows something. Logan’s link to what happened to Becky was explored on the show earlier this year, while Betsy failed to get anything out of Logan.

Carla decides to try though, determined to help Lisa and get to the bottom of what really happened. Does she get anything out of Logan though? Later on the week, Lisa does some digging of her own.

She sneaks into DI Costello’s office and searches his email for any reference to Becky Swain. But will she find anything out and will she be caught? It seems she finds something out about Kit Green as she soon confronts her colleague.

She tells him she saw his name on the computer which stated that he had asked for access to Becky’s file. Having it out with Kit, it’s not revealed what he says or what this means, but she later tells Carla she cannot work with Kit anymore.

She slams the detective for going behind her back, unaware Carla, out of love, has done the same. But will Carla admit what she’s up to, and how will Lisa react?

The One Show hosts stunned as Tony Blackburn gives just three words of advice to I’m A Celeb stars

The first ever winner of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, Tony Blackburn, appeared on The One Show to discuss his time in the jungle, with his blunt advice leaving the hosts in stitches.

BBC radio icon Tony Blackburn, who clinched the title in the inaugural I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2002, graced The One Show with his presence alongside Loose Women panellist Judi Love this evening.

Chatting to presenters Alex Jones and Roman Kemp, Tony reminisced about his jungle adventure two decades on from his victory in the much-loved ITV show.

Though Tony shared some fascinating titbits about his stint on the program, it was one particularly forthright comment he made that left the presenters momentarily lost for words after a question from Alex, reports Wales Online.

“Tony, you won it, you were the first king of the jungle,” Alex prompted. “What advice would you give to the campmates?”

In response, Tony deadpanned: “Don’t do it.” This provoked a burst of laughter from both Roman and Alex, evidently taken aback by his candidness

“Get out of there,” chipped in Alex, going along with the levity before Tony pointed out he was “making a joke”.

Delving deeper into his Jungle experience, Tony expressed: “It’s a hard show to do. I’m a vegetarian and I didn’t have to eat all that stuff.

“I couldn’t do it now – it’s horrible, the stuff they have to eat. But I think you’ve just got to be yourself on, it because that’s all you can do.”

The 2024 season of I’m A Celebrity promises to be a glittering affair, featuring an ensemble of fan favourites like Love Island star Maura Higgins, McFly’s Danny Jones and the adored Strictly Come Dancing pro Oti Mabuse, all competing to seize the jungle crown.

Tonight’s instalment of the show will see the campmates compete for a coveted gold ticket to the legendary Celebrity Cyclone, granting them immunity from the next two eliminations.

However, this new twist has left some fans disgruntled, with accusations flying at ITV for “ruining” the series. Discontented viewers took to social media to express their dissatisfaction.

On X, previously known as Twitter, one user expressed: “Nah, not up for this at all. Taking part in the cyclone is a privilege bestowed by the viewers. You’ve actually ruined a great series by doing this. And we all know it’ll be Colleen.” (sic)

Another viewer aired their concerns about the potential impact on the show’s dynamics, saying: “If this is an immunity thing, please don’t. It skews the order in which the public vote them out. I’m always suspicious of this. You know who is likely to be up next and are trying to save them unfairly.”Despite the backlash, some fans are eager to see how the competition unfolds, with one enthusiast commenting: “Soooo good! Love it.” (sic)

Former boxer Barry McGuigan was a big hit with I’m A Celeb viewers during his stint in the Aussie jungle this year, before his exit on Thursday. But many viewers didn’t know he boasted a famous fan back home – none other than telly host Eamonn Holmes. Eamonn took to Instagram to root for Barry, posting a snap of the ex-boxer captioned ‘Vote Barry.’ He wrote: “We’ve known each other for 45 years and are best friends. Hope you can help keep my pal Barry in the Jungle.”

This show of camaraderie from Eamonn comes hot on the heels of his ex-spouse Ruth Langsford’s visit to the I’m A Celeb campsite to support her Loose Women colleagues GK Barry and Jane Moore, with the latter being the first to get the boot. Ruth was also there to feature on the spin-off programme, I’m A Celeb Unpacked, joining Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson, and Kemi Rodgers.

During his jungle jaunt, featherweight champ Barry, aged 63, has won over both viewers and fellow campmates with his heartfelt stories and charm. On Tuesday 4 December, the campmates were treated to a night at the Jungle Arms pub, complete with nibbles, drinks, and a karaoke session where Barry’s performance of Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl left everyone in awe.

One admirer exclaimed on X: “One thing about the jungle arms it always makes you realise the least obvious one can sing, Barry I love you man” while another chimed in with “who knew Barry McGuigan could sing so well #imaceleb.”

McFly’s Danny Jones also stunned the crowd with a rendition of Bon Jovi, sparking calls from fans for a potential duet down the line. “When they leave the jungle Barry and Danny need to release a single together,” one viewer penned. Echoing this sentiment, another fan chimed in: “Can Danny and Barry release a song please? Thanks. #ImACeleb”.

Fans are hoping Barry and Danny release a single

Earlier in the series, Barry shared a poignant story about losing his cherished daughter Danika to cancer. She tragically passed away five weeks after being diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in 2019.

Speaking to his fellow campmates, Barry revealed: “She had leukaemia, when I was making [The Boxer] with Daniel Day Lewis, three weeks from the end I had to leave because she’d been diagnosed with leukaemia, they thought she wasn’t going to get better but she fought back and she won it. She had two years of chemo.”

After overcoming her initial illness and pursuing a career in acting, Nika was sadly diagnosed with cancer again in her early thirties. Barry confided in Jane Moore about Nika’s second cancer diagnosis, revealing that she had been experiencing “pains in her tummy but she was making the movie, she put it off and went to the doctor, called us all in. Stage 4 bowel cancer, 5 weeks, 5 weeks she died.”

James Martin leaves Loose Women star red-faced as she says ‘I can’t believe you’ve brought that up’

James Martin left Loose Women star Charlene White looking sheepish as she admitted she “couldn’t believe” he brought up one work aspect she struggles with.

Charlene White was gobsmacked when celebrated cook James Martin probed her about her latest literary venture, No Place Like Home, on a fresh instalment of James Martin’s Saturday Morning.

The episode saw Charlene, 44, famed for her role on Loose Women, engage in lively banter with host and chef James, 52, while he whipped up some scrumptious dishes.

But the tables turned when Charlene had to chide the esteemed chef after he poked fun at her for not sticking to deadlines with her new book.

James remarked: “You’re used to so many deadlines in journalism, a little bird told me because I know the publishers quite well, that you struggle with the deadlines?”

    Charlene White

Caught off guard, Charlene replied: “I can’t believe you’ve brought that up!” She then confessed: “Erm… I missed three deadlines, yes, they said: ‘Can you tell Charlene we need the book in ten days or we’re cancelling the contract!’”

Ever the joker, James quipped: “It’s amazing how that suddenly works, isn’t it?” This led Charlene to concede: “Yeah, it’s amazing that when you say you’re going to do something, people expect you to produce it!”

She disclosed that thanks to her “journalism brain” she thrives under the pressure of an imminent deadline, which indeed fueled her writing sprint, reports the Express.

This comes as Charlene took to Instagram before her television slot on Saturday, posting a slew of behind-the-scenes pictures. In her caption, she wrote: “Kicking off Christmas with @jamesmartinchef tomorrow morning from 9.30am on @ itv!

“Much fun was had with the utterly brilliant @chef_chantelle @lennybugleinntwyford and @stephenterrychef. Plus platefuls of gorgeous food to ease us into the festive season, a spoonful of bants, and a dollop of chat about my book No Place Like Home… the perfect recipe for a Saturday morning. Join us! Dress is @oliviarubin.”

Known for her forthrightness on Loose Women, Charlene has now taken a deeper plunge into personal revelations with her new memoir, No Place Like Home. In it, she contemplates on the idea of ‘home’.

Charlene, born in London with roots tracing back to Jamaica, spoke about having a connection to both places, explaining: “I was raised in a Jamaican household in London. So, although I’ve never lived in Jamaica, I’ve been going back and forth my entire life, so that also feels like home to me. There’s space in my heart for both.”

Through her book, No Place Like Home, Charlene delves into her narrative as a Jamaican Londoner, bringing to life the scents, recollections, and voices that color her childhood memories.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! draws to a close tonight with McFly’s Danny Jones, WAG Coleen Rooney and Reverend Richard Coles competing to be crowned King or Queen of the jungle.

The series will be known as having one of the friendliest – but wettest camps – on records, with the celebs trying to keep their spirits up while being battered by storms and rain for days on end.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse narrowly missed out on a place in the final three as she was kicked out following the Celebrity Cyclone trial on Saturday night. Oti told hosts Ant and Dec she felt “mentally and spiritually stronger” for being on the show and would be happy for any of the trio left in camp to win.

As viewers prepare to crown the latest King or Queen of the Jungle, we take a look at the previous winners and find out what they’re up to now…

I’m A Celebrity superfan Sam Thompson was clearly delighted to be hailed King of the Jungle in 2023 when he saw off competition from his best friend in camp Tony Bellew.

The show gave a huge boost to Sam’s career, as the Made in Chelsea star’s podcast with Pete Wicks ‘Staying Relevant’ going from strength to strength and bringing in thousands more listeners. He also impressed ITV bosses so much he was invited to return this year to co-host spin off show Unpacked alongside Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers.

And from reality TV to movie roles, this year Sam cameoed in the UK version of Inside Out 2, as Security Man Sam, a character who finds himself on a chase with the emotions.

Emmerdale star Danny Miller was crowned King of the Castle for the show’s second year in Wales. He beat Coronation Street’s Simon Gregson and The Saturdays’ Frankie Bridge to the crown. Shortly after his castle stint, Danny returned to Emmerdale briefly as Aaron Dingle, where he went back to the Dales to make up with his sister Liv.

Although Aaron promised his family he was back for good, it was too good to be true as the character made a dramatic exit as part of the soap’s 50th anniversary storyline. As Danny discussed his brief return to the soap, he revealed his busy schedule wouldn’t allow him to be in the Dales for long, but is open to coming back.

He told Leeds Live: “I’ve got a few things on at the end of the year – including a pantomime and other stuff. Then I’ve got a job, so it is just not the right time. But I’m not one of those actors who says ‘that’s it now, I’ve shelved it’.”

Poor Jacqueline had a rough ride in the jungle after campmate Myles Stephenson apparently told the actress her husband Dan Osbourne had had a thing with his ex, Gabby Allen. Upon being crowned queen, Jac broke down and vowed that she would be seen as a ‘doormat’ no more and became the first winner to cancel all interviews.

She and Dan hit back at the naysayers, sharing a cute holiday snap and assuring fans that the ‘past is in the past’. She wrote: “We have gone through a very long journey, to be where we are today. Happy. Anyone that thinks differently, don’t Comment negative comments unless you want to be blocked.” [sic]

She continued: “You do not know the ins and outs of what we have both been through, to get to a good place now. I am proud to be with my husband, stand strong and keep our family together. I will not let stupid comments pull me back to the past and dampen my sparkle!! I’m past it and you all need to be in order to follow me. Thanks!! Obvs love all you positive ppl that just get life!!️ thanking you!”

The couple went on to buy a swanky £1.2 million mansion in Essex, where they now live with their two daughters Ella, eight, and Mia, five. Jacqueline now regularly collaborates with fast fashion brand In The Style to create collections and is due to reprise her role in EastEnders as Lauren Branning.

Jacqueline recently revealed her visit to Walford will not be a flying one. “I haven’t actually come on at all and spoken about the fact I am going back to EastEnders. How wild is that?” she told her 3.6 million fans on Instagram. “I haven’t spoken about it at all. It’s as permanent as anyone there is permanent,” she explained. “Obviously, you can get written out at any time but yeah, it’s not a flying visit this time, it’s back back.”

He talked frequently about his wife of 54 years, Sandra, and their blissfully happy relationship they’d began when they were just 17. They recently sold their Sandbanks four-storey mansion in the lavish Millionaire’s Row to build to Sandra’s ‘dream home’ nearby. Georgia came into the public eye though E4 reality series Made in Chelsea where she was used to living the high life. Despite her privately educated background and Conservative political views, Toff was a down to earth campmate and popular among her fellow celebrities and fans, too.

She beat Iain Lee and Jamie Lomas to the title and couldn’t have been more shocked. She’s also starred in Celebs Go Dating and landed herself a presenting slot on This Morning. Toff’s used the dosh from winning wisely and has bought two holiday homes in Devon, where she was brought up.

This year Toff got engaged to BrewDog businessman James Watt – revealing she met the millionaire after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date over the summer not long after she split with fraudster ex George Cottrell. She has since gone Instagram official with him and has admitted she hopes their romance will last.

She gushed: “We’re really happy. I think I knew [how strong their connection was] from the second date. I mean it was just classic James and I. The first date was like, stereotypical, really lovely time, knew I really liked him, great.”

Things didn’t work out between Jake and Danielle, though as The X Factor star has now gone on to marry Sophie Church. The pair also share a son together while Jake is a proud stepdad to Sophie’s son from a previous romance.

Meanwhile, Carl isn’t the only one in his family to have enjoyed a stint on reality TV since his I’m A Celebrity appearance. In 2021, Charlie returned to Albert Square as Janine which has seen her character shake things up as she has fallen in love with Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer). She left the soap once again in an explosive exit on Boxing Day 2022. She told The Sun on Sunday: “I was only ever due back to EastEnders for a year, but when [exec producer] Chris Clenshaw presented me with his idea for the story, I couldn’t say no to staying a little longer.”

Away from reality shows and the world of acting, Charlie is a mum-of-one as she welcomed her now teenage daughter, Kiki Brooks-Truman, back in December 2004 when she was dating businessman Tony Truman. He insisted he wasn’t a bigot and apologised, telling The Sun: “I am mortified by what’s happened, really mortified. Most of my friends, in fact, are Jewish. I apologised to Big Brother and [housemate] Katie [Waissel].”

Journalist Carol managed to emerge from the shadow of her mother, the late Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, to win I’m A Celeb 2005. Her victory propelled her into a correspondent role for the BBC’s One Show, which lasted until 2009 when the broadcaster dropped her after she was apparently heard calling a black cricket player a “golliwog” in the green room.

She refused to apologise, telling the Guardian: “I stand by what I said. I wasn’t going to apologise. I never meant it in a racist way. It was shorthand. I described someone’s appearance colloquially – someone I happen to greatly admire.”

He still makes the occasional TV appearance and was guest host on The Paul O’Grady Show in 2009 and The Nightly Show in 2017.

Joe has been married twice; first to Alison who he wed in 1978 and divorced in 1986 and shares children Kerry, Vicky and Dani. He then married current wife Debbie and they welcomed a son named Joe Tracini who is an actor known for playing Dennis Savage in Hollyoaks.

Atomic Kitten’s Kerry became the first female winner in 2004 just months after Brian McFadden left her for Delta Goodrem. Since then she’s continued to hit the headlines thanks to her turbulent relationships and heartbreaks. She was crowned Celebrity Mum of the Year in 2005 and landed an advertising deal with Iceland but ended up going to rehab where she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

On Valentine’s Day 2007 she married taxi driver Mark Croft in Gretna Green and their daughter Heidi was born six days later. They split in 2011 and Kerry moved on with rugby league player George Kay. Kerry almost died giving birth to their daughter Dylan-Jorge in April 2014 and later said the trauma set George on a toxic downwards spiral.

They married in September 2014 before splitting the following October when she filed assault charges against the sports star. They reunited in 2015 and tried to make a go of things, but the final straw came when George suffered another public meltdown in July 2017.

George died on July 6, 2019 after suffering a suspected overdose. Kerry is now dating nutrition expert Ryan Mahoney. Last year, Kerry released a book titled Kerry Katona: Whole Again, where she documented the abuse she suffered at the hands of her late ex George. Kerry also landed her first presenting role in 20 years with BBC Radio Five Live.

He has two daughters; one with an ex-girlfriend named Jane McEvoy, and one with his second wife, Lisa. That same year he underwent prostate surgery after waking up in extreme pain but was found not to have cancer. He continues to work for BBC Radio and hosts a show each Sunday on BBC Radio 2.

Loose Women star Ruth Langsford made a cheeky comment about her divorce from Eamonn Holmes on the ITV show this morning

The topic of divorce came up on Loose Women, and Ruth made a tongue-in-cheek joke(Image: ITV)

Ruth Langsford, 64, seemed to take a cheeky swipe at the status of her divorce while speaking on Loose Women on Tuesday morning.

The This Morning alum and her ex Eamonn Holmes, 65, announced their shock split in May, and Eamonn has quickly moved on with new girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42. The couple shares a son, and after 14 years of marriage Ruth seemed to hint that their divorce wasn’t going completely smoothly.

The conversation started with the ITV panel debating whether they’d ever ditch their children over the child picking an unsuitable partner. “I just think it’s madness. You know for a fact no matter what position you take in your child’s life if you intrench yourself too deeply they are going to do the opposite thing anyway,” Mariella Frostrup stated. “How on earth would the inclusion of someone in family life be worth the jeopardy of not talking to your child anymore, I just can’t imagine it.”

Coleen Nolan agreed: “I think it is important for parents to let their children find out for themselves and it might work out and they spend the rest of their lives together but it might be that they end up heartbroken and that’s when as a parent you step in.”

Ruth then turned the direction towards parents who let themselves down by feuding with each other instead of putting their children first. She shared: “I think it’s very selfish when you hear parents who say, you know, if they’re divorced, something like ‘Well I’m not coming to your wedding if he’s coming, or if she’s there.’ I just think it’s so selfish, isn’t it?”

“That’s a whole other subject, isn’t it? How to divorce well-” Mariella began. She was then interrupted by Ruth.

“Oh, tell me about it!” Ruth exclaimed, seemingly hinting that “divorcing well” was a topic she’d like to know more about. The panel and audience all fell into stitches, before Ruth conveniently brought in an ad break.

While Ruth has kept fairly silent about the ins and outs of her split from Eamonn, reports on how Eamonn’s health woes impacted the couple’s relationship came flooding in after the split was announced. Speaking about the star’s ill health at the time, a friend of the couple is said to have told MailOnline: “Ruth has become more his carer than a wife. Eamonn has been thoroughly miserable.”

They claimed Eamonn has become “more and more grumpy” and, in the end, it started to get Ruth “down more than she could accept”. The publication also alleged that Eamonn joked to friends about being ‘touched’ more by his physio than Ruth in recent years, with Ruth allegedly upset by the comment.

In a similarly raunchy statement from Eamonn, after his hip replacement he blamed Ruth for his health woes and joked how his sex life was the ’cause’ of the problem. He told the Mirror: “I’m facing a two-week double hip operation, she wore them out, she’s got to help wear them in,” adding, “The doctor says no hanky panky and no strong exercise.”

Stacey Solomon will be back on BBC One on Wednesday to host a new Crafty Christmas series, as she shares her top tips and tricks for a fabulous festive season

TV favourite Stacey Solomon has opened up about her family’s Christmas, admitting that one part of it is “upsetting.”

The 35-year-old Loose Women star got candid on The One Show, chatting with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp about the holiday season. Nestled next to Doctor Who scribe Russell T Davies, she was quizzed on her telly habits over the festive period.

Roman probed: “Stacey, Christmas Day this year, who controls the remote control in your household?” Stacey confessed with a hint of mock despair: “Oh, I’m sorry to say Russell, but it’s mainly kids’ TV in our house. It’s very upsetting. I mean lovely for a couple of minutes of the day.

Not only did she dish on her domestic Yuletide routine with hubby Joe Swash and their brood, but Stacey also spilled the beans on her upcoming show, A Crafty Christmas with Stacey Solomon, reports Wales Online.

Her creative concoctions range from angelic tree toppers to compact Christmas trees, alongside bespoke goodies like gingerbread body butter and easy-peasy no-sew cushions.

As she revealed on The One Show, Stacey’s not stopping at crafts – she’s planning a bash at her grandmother Gwen’s care home, aiming to sprinkle some much-needed festive spirit among the residents.

Stacey Solomon has rallied the troops, enlisting the help of her husband Joe, their kids, sister Jemma, and her ‘Sort Your Life Out’ sidekick Dilly Carter to create a magical winter wonderland for a care home party.

Ruth Langsford has revealed that her beloved mother, Joan, has been rushed to hospital after suffering a fall.

The Loose Women star, 64, is now facing a different Christmas ahead as her mother has fractured her pelvis following a nasty fall. Joan has been rushed to hospital for treatment – with Ruth expressing her thanks that no surgery was required.

Sharing details of her family emergency via social media, Ruth uploaded a video clip of her mum happily chopping some vegetables in the kitchen. She wrote alongside the clip; “No dancing in my kitchen peeling the veg for my darling Mum this Christmas….

“She’s had a fall and fractured her pelvis! She’s ok…ish, no surgery required thank goodness but she needs rest and time to heal now. She’s in hospital at the moment but I’m hoping to get her home soon.”

“This time last year she fell and broke her hip but recovered well…she’s a very strong woman so I’m sure she’ll recover from this too. Put’s life and what’s important into perspective eh? Happy Christmas!”

Fans, followers and celebrity friends were quick to rally around Ruth to share support. Lizzie Cundy was among the first to express her support, writing: “Sending you so much love . Hoping Mum will be back dancing very soon .Sending huge hugs my darling.”

While a fan typed: “Oh Ruth so sorry to hear this and really hope you get her back and dancing along to Anton in your kitchen again soon. Much love.” And another wrote: “Bless her heart xxx I’m sure you’ll be looking after her well. Wishing her a speedy recovery X Sending you a big cuddle too.”

Ruth’s unfortunate news comes amid reports that her estranged husband, Eamonn Holmes, may have become engaged to his much younger girlfriend. The 65-year-old GB News host quickly moved on from Ruth after their 14-year marriage collapsed earlier this year to begin dating relationship therapist Katie Alexander, 43.

Eamonn and Katie sparked speculation they could be preparing to swap vows after she was spotted with a huge ring on her finger in Paris. A source told The Sun: “Eamonn has been talking openly about his plans to marry Katie and has made it clear he wants to spend the rest of his life with her. They’re already living together and he knows it feels right. They have a very strong connection and get on very well. She has given him a real lust for life and she looks after him.”

Eamonn and Katie began dating soon after he and Ruth announced their marriage was over in May this year – and the veteran TV host is said to be very happy with his new dating life. A source told the Daily Mail: “Katie certainly seems to be able to put a smile back on Eamonn’s face. They seem genuinely besotted with each other.”

Coleen Nolan says Loose Women panellists ‘edit’ themselves amid fears of being cancelled

Coleen Nolan says ITV show Loose Women has become more “restricted’ in recent years, as panellists fear they could be cancelled for having the wrong opinion.

    Coleen Nolan
Coleen Nolan said panellists now ‘edit’ themselves amid fears of being cancelled

Coleen Nolan has shared her honest thoughts about a “negative change” she’s noticed on Loose Women in recent years.

The 59-year-old said panellists are now more “restricted” with what they say than they were in the show’s earlier years, in fear of being cancelled.

“Back then, you could say what you wanted and while people might not have agreed with you, it didn’t mean you were cancelled or never going to work again,” Coleen told Love Sunday Magazine.

“Now, we have to be really careful and edit ourselves. That’s the only slightly negative change.”

Despite this change, Coleen said she has still cherished every moment she’s spent on the panel since 2000.

During an interview with ITV to celebrate the show’s recent 25th anniversary, the mother-of-three reminisced over some of her greatest memories so far.

“There are too many to list, every week there is a memorable moment on the show,” she shared.

    Loose Women
Loose Women has been on air for 25 years(Image: ITV)

“But, obviously my first time on the show, walking on as a guest for the first time was pretty nerve wracking – and dancing with Britney Spears is also up there!”.

Coleen’s new interview comes after former panellist Carol McGiffin claimed the show had turned “boring”, following her departure last year.

The 64-year-old claimed to GB News that tough contract negotiations led to “too much stress” and went on to criticise the show for being “too woke”.

Speaking with Woman’s Own Magazine, she added: “I don’t regret leaving. I don’t fit in there anymore. Someone, somewhere will be offended by absolutely everything. I’d rather not be on a show that panders to that.

    “It’s boring – and I won’t be told what I can or can’t say.”

Despite her exit, Carol confirmed that she still shares a close bond with some of the panellists, including Denise Welch and Nadia Sawalha, but not all.

“Some, I have nothing in common with. As I said to them, ‘You’re not friends, you’re just people I work with, who I really like’, which horrified them,” she added to the publication.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX.

    Linda’s health issues

Linda has really been through the mill in recent years, and has also battled Crohn’s since her thirties.

Crohn’s is a condition that causes inflammation of the lining of the digestive system. And Linda has had to undergo multiple operations to remove damaged parts of her bowel over the years.

In late 2021, Rylan revealed on his BBC Radio 2 show that his mum Linda had been diagnosed with skin cancer. “So Mummy, and it’s all fine, she’s got skin cancer on her face, but she’s absolutely fine. It’s not life-threatening and it’s just spread a little bit, so we’re getting it all cut away,” he said.

Rylan also shared in 2023 that his mother suffered a horror fall in Marbella. She broke an arm and a leg and had to have emergency surgery before they both flew home on a private plane he had chartered.
