Seann Walsh ‘in talks for I’m A Celeb All Stars return’ after Strictly romance scandal

I’m a Celebrity… South Africa, known as All Stars, is said to be returning and there’s speculation that a former Strictly Come Dancing star is in talks with ITV to appear on it

There's yet more speculation about the potential line-up for a second series of I'm A Celebrity All Stars

A former Strictly Come Dancing contestant is said to be in talks to appear on I’m A Celebrity spin-off All Stars. Seann Walsh was a campmate in the jungle almost three years ago, but he’s now reportedly considering a return.

Seann, 39, was a late arrival on I’m A Celebrity in 2022. He entered the jungle in Australia alongside former politician Matt Hancock, and they later joined the main camp. The comedian went on to place fifth on the ITV show that year.

He had expressed hope that his stint on the show would change public opinion following a scandal during his time on Strictly four years prior. Seann had been photographed kissing his dance partner, Katya Jones, on a night out in 2018, despite both being in relationships with other people. They both apologised at the time for their behaviour.

It’s now reported that Seann is in “advanced talks” to appear on the second series of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa is often referred to as All Stars. The show, which launched in 2023, is due to be filmed in South Africa again later this year.

A source told The Sun: “When [Seann] went into the jungle in 2022, he very much did it in the hope of redeeming himself in the eyes of the viewing public.” They said: “He managed to emerge as one of the more popular campmates and actually finished in a respectable fifth place in the contest.”

They went on to mention him having entered camp with Matt, who had himself made headlines over an affair with his aide, Gina Coladangelo. Speaking about Seann, the source said: “Part of the reason why he came across comparatively well was because he went into I’m A Celebrity with an even bigger love rat.”

Seann, who had been in a relationship with actor Rebecca Humphries when the scandal broke during his time on Strictly in 2018, previously said that his current partner, Grace Adderley, had encouraged him to do I’m A Celebrity. He said that she was the “main reason” he was doing it.

He said in 2022: “As you can imagine, I was very scared after the last time I was on a big show because the fallout was not something you would want to go back to. Grace talked me into doing it. She convinced me it was the wrong attitude to have, not doing it because I feared what people would think, but to do it because I would have a wonderful time.”

Seann, who has said that the impact of the Strictly scandal led to him experiencing panic attacks, acknowledged prior to his stint in the jungle that people had opinions on him already. Seann, who now has a daughter with Grace, said he was “hoping” viewers would see that he is “very different”.

The I’m A Celebrity spin-off, which features the return of former campmates, launched two years ago. Myleene Klass won the debut series, after being runner-up in 2006, with Jordan Banjo and Fatima Whitbread also in the final.

It’s rumoured that the show will be returning for a second series, which is reportedly due to be filmed in South Africa later this year. There has been speculation about the potential line-up recently prior to the report about Seann.

Harry Redknapp and Gemma Collins are rumoured to be returning for All Stars. Former football manager Harry won I’m A Celebrity back in 2018, whilst reality TV star Gemma appeared on the show in 2014 but quit after just a few days.

Oasis fans buying 2-for-1 disabled tickets ‘ditch wheelchairs once they get in’

Oasis fan Mark Chapman was left deeply frustrated at the band’s iconic reunion gig in Manchester’s Heaton Park as ‘non-disabled’ gig-goers ‘took over’ the accessible area

Mark Chapman was left speechless after attending an Oasis gig

Disabled Oasis fan Mark Chapman was stunned at the recent iconic band’s reunion show in Manchester when, he claims, dozens of fans on the accessible viewing platform abandoned their wheelchairs and crutches as the band began to play.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Mark, who has lived with Duchenne muscular dystrophy since childhood and has used a wheelchair since age nine.

“There were loads of people in wheelchairs and with crutches, but when Oasis came on they all jumped out of their wheelchairs and dropped their crutches and stood up for the whole gig for two hours.”

Mark, 32, had struggled to secure a space on the platform at Heaton Park on July 12. He claims many what he perceived as non-disabled fans exploited lax verification checks, making it difficult for genuinely disabled people to attend. “There’s people who needed to be there who couldn’t,” he said. “It’s really frustrating.”

Carer Sam Priest added: “We were joking Jesus Christ must have been on the platforms, there were so many miracles performed that night.”

Despite the disappointment, Mark, a lifelong Oasis fan and seasoned gig-goer, said the night still meant everything. “At least I was actually there and I could see it and hear it, and I enjoyed it. It was a dream come true, basically.”

Thousands of fans tried their hardest to get their hands on tickets to the Oasis come-back tour after the band haven’t performed together for two decades. Liam and Noel Gallagher returned their native Manchester as they performed at Heaton Park in front of 80,000 fans.

Music podcaster Mark, from Wilmslow, Cheshire, managed to secure last-minute access to the accessible platform thanks to a helpful steward and a waiting list.

What shocked him was seeing so many people using mobility aids one minute, then “dancing and leaving them behind” the next. “They were literally just standing for the whole time… leaving their wheelchairs and crutches behind.”

Adding to the frustration, some of his disabled friends weren’t able to get tickets at all, while resale platforms listed wheelchair tickets for over £600, despite carers’ tickets being free when booked properly.

Still, Mark remained upbeat, crediting his high-tech adjustable wheelchair for giving him a clear view. He even recalled a special moment from his youth: meeting David Beckham, who once donated £30,000 to a charity that helped fund Mark’s first power chair.

“He was my idol,” Mark said. “We went to a party for the World Cup in 2006, and I got a kiss off Victoria. I’ve not washed my cheek since.”

In a statement, Ticketmaster said: “To make sure accessible tickets only go to those who need them, we verify all accessible bookings made on Ticketmaster. After purchasing, fans have three weeks to submit their accessibility requirements via their Ticketmaster account or app. If they are unable to do so, those tickets are cancelled.

“The unauthorised resale of accessible tickets for profit on these websites is yet another reason we fully support the Government’s proposed industry-wide resale cap. As well as protecting fans from inflated prices by removing the incentive for touts, it would help ensure that accessible tickets are reserved for those who genuinely need them.”

Meanwhile, Viagogo, a platform which had accessible tickets priced at £634 for a pair, told the MailOnline: “Viagogo takes the integrity of event access very seriously and all listings have to adhere to our rules and regulations.

“When sellers list tickets with accessibility designations, such as a wheelchair user, they are required to clearly state this on the listing. Any buyer purchasing one of these tickets will have to provide valid proof of disability before the transaction is able to be completed.

“If the buyer is unable to provide proof then the transaction is cancelled by viagogo. This is part of our ongoing efforts to ensure tickets intended for fans with disabilities are used appropriately and fairly.”

Davinia Taylor furiously denies affair after being mistaken for woman in Coldplay video

Actress Davinia Taylor has responded with disbelief after being wrongly identified as the woman seen appearing to getting cosy with her boss on Coldplay’s viral kiss cam clip

Davinia Taylor has spoken out after being wrongly identified as the woman caught on Coldplay’s kiss cam appearing to flirt with her boss.

Addressing the confusion on Instagram, the 47-year-old actress shared her disbelief that a colleague had told her their friends were asking in a group chat, “Is that Davinia having an affair?”

Shutting down the rumours, Davinia firmly responded: “Absolutely not,” before she laid out exactly why the speculation was absurd and completely false.

The former Hollyoaks star, 47, who’s in a relationship with builder Matthew Leyden, pointed out that she didn’t attend the concert, wouldn’t be caught with a tech exec, and emphasised: “I’m very happy with my hands-on builder.”

She also noted that she never wears her hair down, unlike the woman in the clip, and said she was baffled anyone could confuse the two.

To settle the matter, Davinia ran a poll with her followers, revealing that over 20% actually thought she resembled the woman in the viral video.

It comes after Tech tycoon Andy Byron and his Astronomer colleague Kristin Cabot went viral at a Coldplay concert. The clip showed CEO Byron and HR staffer Cabot appear on a “kiss cam” during the band’s show in Boston last week.

The pair had been in an embrace, but once they realised they were on the big screen, they leapt out of each other’s arms, seemingly in a panic. Cabot covered her face with her hands as Byron crouched down to stop his face being in view. He also appeared to say “f****** hell, it’s me.”

The Hollyoaks star said she is in a very happy relationship

Chris Martin had some theories, and speaking into the microphone, he quipped: “Oh, what… either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

The pair then ran away from their spot, but by this point it was too late, the clip was doing the rounds, and people were determined to find out who they were, and why they were acting strangely. Following the incident, a statement claiming to be from Byron hit out at Coldplay for showing the moment. But his company has since revealed the statement was fake

Byron is the CEO of a data orchestration platform in New York called Astronomer. According to the LinkedIn page, the AI startup company “empowers data teams to bring mission-critical analytics, Ai, and software to life”.

The woman who he had his arms wrapped around is also employed by Astronomer. Her LinkedIn states that she joined the company nine months ago with her title being Chief People Officer.

Byron has been the CEO of the software development company since July 2023 and Astronomer is reportedly worth more than $1.3billion (£1b). The Economic Times suggest his net worth stands anywhere between $20million (£14.8m) and $70million (£52m).

The CEO has since resigned after he was caught appearing to canoodle with his Head of HR at the Coldplay concert in the US, the company confirmed over the weekend. The tech firm said its boss had tendered his resignation, and the board of directors had accepted it.

The company said in a statement shared on LinkedIn and X: “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding.

Byron has since resigned from his role

“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.

“The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO. Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI.

“While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems.”

Kym Marsh will link up with Neighbours legend Jackie Woodburne for an exciting new Channel 5 drama.

The soap great, Susan Kennedy on the long-running Australian show, will join former Coronation Street star Kym in Imposter, which will be produced by Fremantle Australia for Channel 5. The pair will be on screen together and a preview for the new programme teased what’s ahead.

It read: “A splashy seaside hotel becomes the centre of a bitter family dispute as matriarch Helen refuses to sell, despite pressure from her three adult children. But Helen is hiding a secret: a daughter she gave up for adoption decades ago. When Amanda suddenly appears, Helen welcomes her with open arms— but is Amanda who she says she is?

“The lucrative hotel is the ultimate prize and a twisted scheme soon spirals into betrayal and ultimately, murder. The series is set to begin production in Victoria, Australia, this Summer. The series is set to begin production in Victoria, Australia this Summer.” Channel 5 have yet to confirm when the show will air.

It is a second big career boost for Kym, who was earlier this month announced in the cast of brand-new stage play, Single White Female – based on the iconic 90s psychological thriller. The world premiere stage production, written by author, journalist and broadcaster, Rebecca Reid, will embark on a major UK and Ireland theatre tour from January 2026.

Kym said: “I am so excited to be bringing this brilliant, brand new and thrilling play to theatres across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. I remember being totally gripped by the movie when I first saw it in the cinema and could never have imagined back then that I’d be starring in the world premiere of its life on stage. Get ready to be thrilled, shocked and entertained and watch out for those stiletto heels.”

Neighbours was axed for a second time earlier this year, with the news coming just two years after it had been initially cancelled on Channel 5 “Everyone’s got an idea of how they would like the show to end, but that [the previous] finale was written and everyone gave it 100% because we all thought: ‘This is it,’” Jackie told TV Tonight after the news. “This was our opportunity to honour the show and take it out with a bang.

“But I don’t think you can do that twice. It wouldn’t have the same impact. I have no doubt that [producers] will come up with a heartfelt, authentic, beautiful farewell. Everybody’s, once again, just focused on making sure that we give it our all… But it does feel different this time.

“The vibe last time, there was such an energy of, ‘Of course, they’ll keep us. Someone’s got to rescue us!’… This time, I think because we’ve been through it before, you only have one ‘first time’, don’t you? So there wasn’t the same level of anxiety, fear and heartbreak.”

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz make announcement in ‘important’ family update

Nicola Peltz revealed a ‘very important announcement’ with her husband Brooklyn Beckham as the couple have made an Instagram account for their dogs amid the family’s ongoing feud

Nicola Peltz took to Instagram to share a ‘very important announcement’ as she revealed a brand new joint venture with her husband Brooklyn amid their feud with the Beckham family.

It’s believed that Brooklyn, 26, is currently embroiled in a feud with his family, including dad David and mum Victoria. The alleged feud is believed to have started when Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, tied the knot three years ago, while fuel was also added to the fire when Nicola and Brooklyn failed to attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations last month.

Not addressing the drama, Nicola took to Instagram on Sunday night and said she has a ‘very important announcement’, before revealing that the couple have made a sweet Instagram account for their dogs.

Nicola shared a link to the new social media page titled ‘pelzbeckhambabies’, which has already shared a snap of each of their dogs. The couple are proud dog parents to dogs named Bridalina, Lamb, Label and Angel. The dog’s Instagram page only follows Nicola and Brooklyn.

The couple’s latest announcement comes shortly after reports that Brooklyn is setting up a new charity dog shelter with Nicola in America. The Sun reported that the couple are launching the Peltz Beckham Foundation, which will rescue homeless dogs and offer them shelter and support.

In another career update, it was announced last week that she will star in the thriller Pretty Ugly and also serve as an executive producer, with it understood to be the first time she’s held that position on a film.

Nicola has appeared in several films over the years, including Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014) and Lola (2024), which she also wrote and directed. It was reported last week that Nicola will star alongside Jazzy De Lisser and Mary Stuart Masterson.

The film is said to be written and directed by Erica Dunton, who has previously worked on TV shows such as Ted Lasso, The Summer I Turned Pretty and Outer Banks.

The couple’s career announcements come amid a rumoured growing rift between Nicola and Brooklyn and his parents, Victoria and David. In the latest family drama, it was revealed last week that both Brooklyn and Nicola’s Instagram accounts don’t follow younger brothers Crus, 20 and Romeo, 22.

It was also reported earlier this month that Brooklyn was expected to miss his youngest sibling Harper Beckham’s 14th birthday. A source told the Mirror at the time: “He took a stand and missed his dad’s 50th so he’s not likely to suddenly do a U-turn and forget everything that’s happened, as much as he loves Harper.”

They continued: “He didn’t want it to turn out this way, and he’s always been really close to all his siblings, but he is a married man now and his priorities have to lie somewhere else.”

The source added: “He just doesn’t feel his family has treated Nicola well and now that he’s grown so close to her family in the States, he doesn’t really feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now.”

Brooklyn and his wife Nicola ended up marking Harper’s birthday last week online as Brooklyn shared a photo of the couple alongside his sister and wrote: “Happy birthday Harper, we love u x.” He tagged Nicola, who then shared his post herself.

One Coronation Street star has reacted to a new twist involving two characters, which comes as a shock to some residents.

Spoilers for next weeks episodes of the ITV soap revealed that sinister character Noah strikes up a romance with Danielle Silverton in upcoming scenes. The romance is exposed next week to Danielle’s ex Theo Silverton, who shares a sad past with Noah.

Noah was revealed to have been involved when Theo was forced into conversion therapy years earlier. Theo, who only recently began to accept his sexuality and started a relationship with Todd Grimshaw, has struggled with the trauma of his past.

Things have turned nasty with wife Danielle who was heartbroken when Theo revealed he was leaving her for Todd, with their children also meddling to stop this from happening. So when Theo finds out Noah and Danielle are now an item, he does not take it very well.

But is the relationship real, and does Noah have a sinister plan for Danielle amid his history with Theo and now his drama with Todd? Is Danielle using Noah to hurt Theo knowing what went down?

Speaking about the big twist and what’s ahead, Danielle actress Natalie Anderson revealed Noah’s real intentions for her character. She also teased whether Danielle was being genuine, and teased “messy” scenes ahead.

She shared: “Noah is so disappointed in Theo and his choice because he’s so devoutly religious. Noah is angry and thinks if you don’t want to take care of this amazing family, I will. He is stepping up to the plate, looking after Danielle and the children, keeping them in the faith, providing a happy, stable relationship.

“There’s an element of duty from Noah. He’s very cosy and getting his feet under the table. Its for him to keep the family unit together and make sure Danielle and the children are not questioning the faith as well.

“There’s an agenda for Noah to protect this family unit from this awfulness that is happening to her, and be the hero.” As for Danielle’s plans, she went on: “There’s two things happening. One is trying to show Theo what he’s missing with his family life, this is what he’s throwing away.

Spoilers for next weeks episodes of the ITV soap revealed that sinister character Noah strikes up a romance with Danielle Silverton
Spoilers for next weeks episodes of the ITV soap revealed that sinister character Noah strikes up a romance with Danielle Silverton(Image: ITV)

“And there might be an element of her trying to fill the void, Danielle and Theo were married for 19 years, that’s a huge amount of time. I’ve been with my husband 20 years and can’t even imagine him not being around. It’s a little bit of a rebound.”

Natalie added: “While she cares for Noah but is not completely committing wholeheartedly, she is kind of drawing this out a little bit. If there’s an opportunity to be around Theo, she will take it.

“On the one hand she wants to do the right thing by her kids, but the right thing for her would be for their dad to come home and she’s not going to give up on that.”

On what’s ahead, she said: “As you can imagine it does get messier and more heated. We fall into two camps between Danielle and Theo, and the children will be caught in the middle of that. It is difficult, and representative of a lot of families going through messy divorces.

“That’s been amazing to play and its not something I’ve done before, there’s a lot of figuring out what’s next and figuring out what’s best for the children. When it starts to become a legal thing, how nasty does that get?

“It’s one thing trying to sort it out between yourselves, but when it gets to that next level things becomes more weaponised. There are some calculating things coming up, I’m not sure the audience will still be on Danielle’s side after that!”

BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood has revealed she intends to retire in a couple of years when she hits 65 – and take off around Europe with her toyboy husband.

The 63-year-old has been a fixture on BBC Breakfast for the past 27 years. But dropping hints she’s not going to make her 30th anniversary of predicting sunshine and showers, Carol confessed that she and husband Steve Randall are planning to head off into the sunset.

“We fell in love with Majorca, which is where we went so I could research my fifth novel, Meet Me at Sunset, about a woman running away from a shattered love affair,” she explained. “Steve and I also plan to escape and travel for some time when we retire, perhaps in a year or two. We’ll either travel in a camper van, or get in the car, cross over to France and just drive.”

Carol has built up an army of fans over the decades, and her decision to quit when she hits normal retirement age will sadden many viewers.

The TV star said that being older than her husband, a policeman, doesn’t bother her. She told Saga Magazine: “Steve is 50 this year. Other people’s opinions about an age gap don’t matter – I don’t feel he is younger than me.”

The weather expert married Steve at Cliveden House two years ago, with just themselves in attendance. She said that finding him, when she wasn’t looking for love, had been down to pure luck.

“Meeting my husband Steve was fate,” she explained to Saga Magazine. “We were at a function neither of us wanted to go to. It was a Sliding Doors moment – if I hadn’t gone, we would never have met.

“We chatted, he gave me his number, and ages later, we met for coffee. He was only a friend before we became involved. I wasn’t looking for a romance; I was happy being single. After a 25-year marriage, I needed to find myself.”

    Carol Kirkwood
Carol is always sunny, even when she’s having to tell the nation about some terrible incoming weather(Image: (Image: BBC))

Carol was married to property developed Jimmy Kirwood for 18 years from 1990 and described their divorce as “devastating” at the time. But since settling down with Steve, she has told how contended she feels. Last year she declared: ”Love is lovelier the second time around. No disrespect to my first husband, but this is better.”

She said that Steve proposed on a riverbank near their home in Berkshire. “Although we’d talked about getting married, it still came as a shock,” she admitted. “Our wedding at Cliveden House was the most perfect day. Storm Gerrit was raging outside and we didn’t even notice. It was about us getting married rather than having a big, fancy wedding. We had no guests and wrote our own vows, which was really emotional. When you are older, you know more what you want.”

Born in Morar, Inverness-shire to hotelier parents, Carol is one of eight siblings. After graduating from what is now Edinburgh Napier University with a degree in commerce, Carol joined the BBC as a secretary in London.

By 1993 she was working as a freelance presenter and three years later she joined The Weather Channel. When it closed down she underwent training at the Met Office before joining BBC News in 1998. She is now the main weather presenter on BBC Breakfast, remaining in London when the show moved to Salford in 2012.

Is Emmerdale on tonight? ITV soap faces huge schedule shake-up again this week

Soaps are facing yet another schedule shake-up this week, as a Summer of sport continues over on BBC and ITV – but will Emmerdale fans get their Tuesday fix tonight?

There may have been a hint on Emmerdale on Monday night that John Sugden will trip up over his own lies
Emmerdale will be off air again tonight (Image: ITV)

Emmerdale fans may be left disappointed if they sit down to get their Tuesday fix of the ITV show tonight.

The ITV soap usually airs at 7.30pm on Tuesday, however, it’s been taken off air again tonight following yet another schedule shake-up. The soap schedule has been all over the place this summer due to a number of huge sporting events – and the schedule continues this week.

Tonight, ITV will be broadcasting coverage of the first UEFA Women’s Euro semi-final, in which England will be taking on Italy live at the Stade de Genève in Switzerland.

Coverage will begin from 7pm and run all the way up until the ITV news at 10.30pm. A win for the Lionesses will take them through to the final, which will take place this Sunday (July 27) and will be held at St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

An Emmerdale scene with Tracy Robinson may have hinted at John Sugden's downfall
It was an emotional night for Cain and Tracy in Emmerdale last night (Image: ITV)

The winner of tonight’s semi-final will be facing the winner of tomorrow night’s semi-final, which will see Germany take on Spain. The second semi-final will air over on BBC, meaning EastEnders will be taking off air tomorrow night.

Although fans are missing out on tonight’s episode, Emmerdale will be back in its usual 7.30pm slot tomorrow night and in its one hour slot on Thursday night.

The missing Emmerdale episode comes after a highly dramatic episode last night (July 21). On Friday we saw John head to the house of patient Owen, the man who had drugged Robert Sugden just weeks before. John found him lifeless after an apparent overdose, and instead of calling for help he let him die.

Before fleeing the scene he wrote a suicide note on Owen’s laptop which was a confession to Nate’s murder. Last night, a detective told Cain and Tracy Owen was dead with them believing he had taken his own life, leaving his confession before taking an overdose.

Hollyoaks fans can be murdered by iconic serial killer on screen in new competition

Hollyoaks has launched a jaw-dropping competition in which fans of the Channel 4 show are being offered the chance to become the latest victim of serial killer, Jez Blake

Die-hard Hollyoaks fans are in for a treat after being offered the chance to star in the series in jaw-dropping style. The Channel 4 soap, set in Chester, has amassed a legion of loyal fans, since it started in 1995 and now bosses want to say thank you.

To celebrate Hollyoaks’ 30th anniversary, one lucky fan will get the chance to join the soap and play the latest victim of serial killer, Jez Blake, who is fast becoming one of the programme’s most vile villains.

Taking to TikTok, announcing the competition, Hollyoaks’ Nadine Mulkerrin and Anna Passey, who play Cleo McQueen and Sienna Blake respectively, ask: “How much of a Hollyoaks superfan are you?”

They continue: “To celebrate Hollyoaks’ 30th birthday, we are on the hunt for the ultimate Hollyoaks superfan. You will be invited to the village to film an exclusive scene but there is a killer twist.

“Your character will be killed off by Hollyoaks’ most notorious serial killer.”

Explaining how to enter, they conclude: “All you need to do is tell us why your Hollyoaks’ biggest superfan and you might just be invited to the next stage of the competition.”

Chief Content Officer at Channel 4, Ian Katz, also promoted the competition on LinkedIn, writing: “Later this year the show will celebrate its 30th birthday with a soap first. Fans of the show are being offered the chance to win a slice of TV immortality – by dying on screen for it. One viewer will be selected to become the latest victim of Jez, the latest in a long line of Hollyoaks serial killers.”

Bloodthirsty Jez, played by Jeremy Sheffield, struck again last month, claiming the life of Ian, a social worker who he believed knew way too much.

The crazed killer, as viewers know, has thus far killed Dilly Harcourt (Emma Johnsey-Smith) and Abe Fielding (Tyler Conti) since rocking up in the village.

His murder spree, however, dates back decades, with the twisted gardener keeping track of all his victims’ names in a notebook which he keeps close.

This week on Hollyoaks, it’s Jez and John Paul’s wedding day, but John Paul gets cold feet, while the walls continue to close in on the serial killer and his affair with Liberty.

At the start of the year, fans were convinced Jez was going to try and kill his groom, John Paul, with one taking to X saying: “Need people to stop saying Jez is going kill John Paul because I can not handle that actually.

Another added: “John Paul better watch out” while a third warned: “Run my John Paul, Run!”

Emmerdale star Natalie J Robb explains sad reason she’s never married or had kids

She’s a family woman in Emmerdale but off-screen, Natalie J Robb enjoys her single life and admits a childhood experience was enough to convince her to never tie the knot.

Natalie J Robb enjoys her singledom, but she admits she’s never married or had children for several reasons – one of which is linked to a childhood memory.

“I don’t have any children,” she says. “Apart from furry animals.” The Emmerdale icon recently adopted Buddy, her new pup, after losing her beloved dog Bronson.

“Last year in February, I lost Bronson, my best friend. Never felt grief like it, it doesn’t go away,” she says. “Now Buddy won’t stop growing. I just love the companionship of an animal.”

And she has no regrets about not settling down. “I’ve never been one for marriage. My mum got divorced when I was very young. I think my world shattered when that happened,” she says.

“But I don’t believe people need marriage anymore. A lot of them have children – that’s a marriage in itself.” She adds: “I’m 50 now, I spent a lot of time trying to find love but it wasn’t the right thing for me. I should have just been more single then, rather than find something.”

On-screen, Moira survived a brain tumour, kept Cain steady through the heartbreak of Nate’s death, and somehow held her family together.

But Emmerdale ’s Moira Dingle is about to face even more drama. “It’s all kicking off,” says Natalie, who plays the farmer. “She’s still in recovery, her tumour was only diagnosed last year.”

Moira has stood strong for hubby Cain, who’s still reeling after the discovery of Nate’s body in a lake. “She knows what it’s like to lose a child, so she knows the pain he’s feeling,” Natalie says, referring to the 2016 drugs death of Moira’s daughter Holly. “But there’s just so many different emotions going on.”

Guilt is one of them. Before Nate’s death, he was beaten by Cain – fuelled by a rumour that Moira tried to kiss him. Believing Nate and Moira’s old affair had sparked again, Cain lashed out. “That fight they had,” Natalie says, “Moira believes she caused it.”

Now, the family’s about to be dealt another blow. Joe Tate’s gunning for Moira’s land, hoping to hand it over to Kim Tate, his step-grandmother.

“Moira can be a bit crazy, fierce and protective,” says Natalie. “But she’s a fair woman when it comes to farming and her business. What they’re trying to do to her is awful, it’s really bad. Her hands are tied.”

Butler’s Farm is already struggling but losing it would leave Moira and Cain homeless. “The outcome is going to be much worse,” Natalie says.

“Ultimately, she thinks they’re going to have to sell. But Joe tells her fibs about her being a tenant farmer. She’s going to try and do everything to save it. But working with Joe? He gets right under Moira’s skin.”

As pressure mounts, Cain also locks horns with his brother Sam – who works for Kim and is friends with her through wife Lydia. Things boil over when two intruders are found hiding in Moira’s barn.

Cain blames Joe, and tensions erupt. “I go to punch Joe Tate, but as I do that, I punch Lydia in the ear,” Natalie says. “It’s very convoluted but it creates a big rift between Sam and Cain.”

Luckily, the off-screen atmosphere is far calmer. Natalie and Jeff Hordley (Cain) have been filming together for over a decade. “We can work together with our eyes shut,” she says.

“We have a nice friendship and a good working relationship. But it was also nice to work with Ned Porteous, who plays Joe, and do things with Home Farm. It’s been talked about for a while, they’ve always wanted this land. They want the land for access, they don’t care about the farm.”

For Natalie, the storyline hits close to home. “I’ve got some farmer friends, they said that is the way it’s going a lot of the time. They’re making a lot of tenant farmers so they work their land,” she says.

“But they don’t have the same responsibility. It’s not theirs anymore, which is really sad. Farmers are a different breed, they have a different mindset and they don’t have time to mess around. They’re survivors. Even Jeremy Clarkson realises now how hard it is.”

Fans often tell Natalie they wish they had Moira’s fire – and in some ways, Natalie gets it. Raised just outside Glasgow, she was a tomboy in a farming community. “There were more boys than there were girls. I didn’t get on with girls,” she admits, “I was into playing football.”

But life was tough early on – Natalie was picked on by other girls and sometimes, it was brutal. “I was walking home from school one night,” she says.

“I had a bit of a black eye, my lip was bleeding. My mum said, ‘Come with me.’ She dragged me to one of the girls’ house and said, ‘You’re going to fight her one to one.’”

The fight was stopped before it escalated but the lesson stuck. “I was terribly shy and quite sensitive,” she says, “But I’ve definitely changed. Maybe Moira has helped.”

Even after 16 years, Emmerdale still has Natalie’s heart. “I live in the present but you never know what’s going to come up,” she says, “The Emmerdale pace is fast and no day is the same. I absolutely thrive on that. I’m very lucky.”
