Coleen Rooney set to bag £1million as ITV want her to star in major show after I’m A Celebrity

TV fans might soon be offered too much Coleen Rooney content as it is being reported she is expected to be offered a huge £1 million contract to star on ITV shows once she exits the I’m A Celeb camp

Coleen Rooney will soon be embedded in ITV as it is being reported she’s signed a huge contract to star on the channel once she’s out of the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

The 38-year-old mum-of-four who is married to footballer Wayne Rooney is already said to be the highest paid contestant on the long-running celebrity popularity contest – with her fee for the 2024 season reported to be more than the £1.5 million Nigel Farage was allegedly paid to star on the 2023 season. But reports are suggesting Coleen is picking up an extra £1 million to work with ITV beyond her bushtucker trials experience.

The star – who was famously unsuccessfully sued by Rebekah Vardy in a huge libel case termed Wagatha Christie – would soon be unavoidable on the ITV channels as she is tipped to join a lunchtime talk show and be granted documentary series of her own. And it is expected that this deal could path the way for her to host other projects and even revive her 2008 show Coleen’s Real Women.

It has been reported by a source: “Coleen is set to become ITV’s new golden girl. She loves the idea of returning to telly and feels that now is her moment, especially as she’s more mature and her kids are older. She won a legion of fans with the way she handled herself during Wagatha and viewers find her down to earth and relatable.

    I'm A Celeb

The source continued – talking to The Sun: “Coleen has always loved Loose Women and she’s said she would love to join as one of the panellists. She loves fearless, opinionated women like Jane Moore and would love to get involved and have her say on things. Coleen has stayed out of the spotlight for so long, some people might not think this would be the gig for her. But Coleen’s friends know her as someone sharp, intelligent and not afraid to speak her mind.”

The report goes on to suggest Coleen will be seen getting close to Loose Women star Jane Moore who is already a panelist on the show and suggests she would be smart to ask her for tips to land a role on the ITV lunchtime show’s panel. It also reports the WAG is hoping to overcome her own nerves and lack of confidence to boost her hopes of securing more TV work. The Mirror has approached a spokesperson of Coleen for comment while an ITV spokesperson dismissed The Sun’s report as “speculative”.

It is suggested Coleen wants to emulate the success of former Hear’Say star Myleene Klaas who was a contestant on the show in 2006. The singer went from being a national laughing figure due to her backfired band which was put together on a talent show, to becoming one of the nation’s most-loved presenters. As well as hosting TV and radio shows, Myleene has also built a successful swimwear company – which has been credited with success stemming from the memorable bikini-clad shower scenes that she generated during her time in the jungle.

The Loose Women favourite was left shaken after thieves tried to get cash from her by claiming to be her daughter

Linda Robson has issued a stark warning about the dangers of online scams – after she was tricked by thieves pretending to be her daughter

The Loose Women star, 66, was left shaken after being taken in by a “Hi Mum” text begging her to send emergency cash. Linda admitted it was terrifying how convincing the message was, mimicking her daughter’s language and using her family nickname of Bobbi Girl. And she urged people of her generation to educate themselves about staying safe online – insisting they must not ignore the risks of technology.

Linda recalled: “I was on Loose Women when I got a Whatsapp message from my daughter, saying: ‘I’ve dropped my phone down the toilet, can you send me some money?’ I rang her and then she texted me saying: ‘I can’t pick up the phone because it’s gone down the toilet.’ It sounded like it was my daughter, she was saying things we would say to each other, and used her nickname for her – Bobbi Girl.”

Linda thought her daughter Bobbie was asking for money – but it was someone impersonating her(Image: WireImage)

Mum-of-three Linda said she was so convinced it was 28-year-old Bobbie that she was ready to transfer the cash. “I really thought it was true,” admitted Linda. “I would’ve sent the money the scammers wanted – £150 – because I was really worried she didn’t have any. Luckily one of the bosses on the show said to me: ‘I think you’re being scammed’. So I asked the person on the phone for the name of our dog. They said Gerald, and I said: ‘No, my dog’s called Dolly. So that’s when I knew I was being scammed.”

Linda says she was taken aback by how convincing the scam was. “I was quite shaken afterwards because it was scary how convincing it was,” she said. And it’s happening to more and more people now – friends of mine have been targeted and lost hundreds of pounds. I think everyone – but especially us older people – need to be aware of the risks. I’m 66 now, so I’m not as savvy as the younger people. We need to be really, really careful

Linda has now joined forces with BT Group to encourage people of her generation to learn digital skills together. She attended a free session hosted by BT Group’s charity partner AbilityNet in London helping to raise awareness around scams and staying safe online. The courses run in-person across the UK and online to teach over 65s how to spot scams and ways to avoid them.

Linda said: “It was so inspiring to see people in their 60s, 70s, and even 80s learning how to use their phones. There were about 25 of us, all asking questions and learning new things, from downloading apps to staying safe from online scams. It was a real eye-opener.” Offering her advice to ensure others aren’t caught out, she said: “If it doesn’t seem right, then it’s not right. I’ve spoken to the other Loose Women about this, and told lots of friends, because the scammers prey on the older generation. Younger people are more likely to see the red flags, so if I’m not sure about anything I run it past my kids, even my 12-year-old granddaughter. I’ve always been very trusting but it can be a scary world, and sometimes you need to be sceptical.”

    Linda Robson
Linda joined a BT Group workshop to learn more about keeping safe online

Victoria Johnson, Social Impact Director at BT Group said: “Tackling the digital divide and driving social mobility is an integral part of BT Group’s purpose, Connect for Good, providing everyone with the skills and access they need to make the most of life at home and at work. By enabling the country to be more confident and independent online, we can create a diverse and inclusive digital society that works for all.”

It’s not the first time Linda has fronted an important campaign. The Birds of a Feather star fought to get smoking banned in cars, in memory of her dad who died of lung cancer. Working with the British Lung Foundation, she helped get the law passed and it was introduced in 2015.

Stacey Solomon ‘feeling free spending time away with my girls’ after bitter row with Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon has been keeping fans updated on her current trip to the USA – as she flew away from the UK soon after it was reported she bitterly argued with her husband, Joe Swash, in public

Stacey Solomon has revealed she is “feeling free” while on a girls trip away from husband Joe Swash – who she was photographed furiously arguing with last week.

The mum-of-five is currently living it up in Las Vegas where she delighted in watching Adele performing at one of her Weekends With Adele residency concerts at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace – and on Sunday revealed she’d enjoyed a magical afternoon horse riding. While it is unclear if any of her five children are present on the trip, it is clear that Stacey’s 42-year-old husband Joe is not there.

Earlier in the week, 35-year-old Stacey and her husband were spotted engaging in a heated argument in public – with the Loose Women star left in tears while ex-EastEnders actor Joe stormed off furiously puffing on a vape. A camera crew had been in attendance and comforted Stacey as the couple departed the scene in different directions.

Now that she is more than 5,000 miles away in sun-soaked Las Vegas, Nevada, Stacey appeared to be having the time of her life after leaving her worries behind on the other side of the Atlantic. And on Sunday, she shared a collection of photographs of herself enjoying a trek on horseback with her friends.

Sharing the images on Instagram, Stacey wrote in an accompanying caption: “Feeling Free … I can’t describe what I’ve felt spending time away with my girls. I didn’t know how much I needed this. I am such a home girl but time away isn’t as scary as I thought. In fact it’s fed my soul.”

She continued: “I stole someone’s cowboy had and rode through the canyon with the women I honestly couldn’t be who am I without. The thing about these women is they literally lift me up, have my back, keep me going, make me feel so supported & I just couldn’t do life without them. I love you girls to the moon and back. I’m so lucky to have you in my life … This is your sign to say f**k it and get out of your comfort zone whenever you get the chance. You won’t regret it.”

Her message resonated with followers who flocked to the comments to share supportive messages of their own. One wrote: “Oh @staceysolomon I love these! So glad you’ve had the best time.” And another typed: “So happy you’ve had the best time! So well deserved all of it.”

But others questioned Stacey’s outfit choices, suggesting that wearing shorts while on horseback could be a regrettable move. One follower warned: “I rode in shorts just once, the chafing on the inner thighs was off the scale. Well done you!” But others slammed the star for going horse-riding without a proper riding helmet. One concerned follower wrote: “I love this but where is your helmet. It takes seconds for a horse to spook and take off. You need to go home to your baby’s in one piece.”

Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas shares secret health battle that ‘no-one wants to talk about’

Much-loved Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas appeared on Monday’s Loose Women and opened up about her health struggle that ‘so many women suffer from, but is considered taboo’

Strictly Come Dancing’s Shirley Ballas has opened up about a secret health battle that has left her suffering for years.

The head judge, 64, joined the Loose Women on Monday (November 18) and spoke about her struggle with bladder leaks that have left her not “drinking while in the studio”.

Shirley has become an ambassador for a campaign promoting pelvic floor exercises while encouraging women to seek help when experiencing leaks after she was advised not to talk about the issue when she was younger.

Opening Shirley’s interview, host Christine Lampard said: “Here on Loose Women, we never shy away from taboo topics, so today we are marking bladder health month and discussing bladder leaks.”

Wanting to share their personal experience, Shirley, 64, explained: ” I feel like bladder leaks a little bit of a taboo subject that no one wants to talk about. I think it is important for women to do their pelvic floor exercises and understand it should be a part of our daily routine.

“Being a dancer, I do them all the time; I have learned how to do them. But when I was giving birth, and I was pregnant, particularly during menopause, I struggled with that, bladder leaks.”

Shirley added, “I talked to my mum about it, and my mother’s generation, it is a taboo subject; she doesn’t want to talk about it. In fact, when she knew I was coming this morning, I hope you’re watching, mother, she was like, ‘Oh dear, you can’t talk about that!’

“But I think it is a subject heading and when you have a job on the TV, if you have a platform and you can help the ladies out, then for me its extremely important.”

    Shirley Ballas

Christine chimed in: “What is interesting is that we see you and what you do in such a physical job, and you wouldn’t have assumed this was something you were quietly having to battle behind the scenes. It’s something you have to think about; it changes the way you work potentially.”

Shirley replied: “Well, it does. I don’t drink fluids. I don’t drink water at all if I’m travelling or I’m in the studio. But I think most women, if you sneeze, for example, if you laugh, particularly at 64 years of age, and now I’m noticing it even more.

“I thought let me do this subject heading, let me get everybody engaged with doing their pelvic floor and understanding that it’s extremely important we talk about, share and don’t suffer in silence.”

Katie Price took to social media to share a screenshot of her family chat after she posted an image of one of her pet cats – and the former glamour model was left in hysterics

They say pets look like their owners and it’s certainly the case in Katie Price’s household. The reality TV star had a laugh with her family on Thursday, comparing her own chest to that of her hairless Sphynx cat in a hilarious Instagram post.

The 47-year-old former glamour model, known for her numerous breast augmentations, shared a screenshot from her family group chat where she had posted a picture of one of her cats, Doris, who is pregnant.

Katie, who has been branded a ‘serial animal killer’ by PETA after ‘track record of deaths’, captioned the image: “Her boobs. Her boobs look like mine,” followed by several laughing face emojis.

Her 18-year-old daughter Princess Andre was quick to respond to the humorous post, commenting ‘I’m dead’ along with crying face emojis. Meanwhile, her brother-in-law Harry responded with a voice note of him simply laughing.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Katie wrote: “Our family group chat is going off tonight…pets do look like their owners…” In a previous Instagram Story, the mum-of-five shared a snap of her cat and quipped: “Looks like Doris has taken a leaf out of my books and gone to Turkey to get a boob job.” Over the weekend, Katie announced on Instagram that her Sphynx cat Doris was pregnant.

Katie was previously labelled a ‘serial animal killer’ by PETA following the deaths of at least eight of her pets. The two-time I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star faced fresh criticism earlier this month for letting one of her £2,000 Sphynx cats suffer sunburn during the recent heatwave, with PETA declaring “here we go again”.

Katie posing in white top and trackies
Katie is no stranger to run-ins with PETA(Image: katieprice/Instagram)

In footage she shared, the reality star displayed her Sphynx cat sporting a crimson head and back. Petting the feline, she remarked: “Oh Kevin, you have been in the sun today, you have got sunburnt despite us putting sun cream on you… Look at his little face.”

The accompanying caption read: “Trying to keep the cats out of the sun is hard work.” PETA’s Elisa Allen claimed the Mucky Mansion personality had consistently disregarded guidance on animal welfare.

She commented: “Anyone who warns Katie not to hurt the animals she takes in might as well be screaming into the wind, for all she seems to care. And here we go again: her cat is sunburnt – something she was likely warned about when acquiring a gimmick cat, bred to look odd and be hairless.”

The charity states that felines with “light or no fur can burn easily, which is just one reason to keep them indoors.” It continues: “If they do go into a secure garden, apply vet-approved sunscreen and ensure they have plenty of shade. Cat guardians must stay alert, if you spot redness, swelling, or signs of infection, seek veterinary care immediately.”

The animal welfare organisation expressed concern after she flaunted her latest addition, a Sphynx cat named Daisy, in November, suggesting there ought to be legal measures to prevent her from acquiring more pets.

PETA’s founder Ingrid Newkirk remarked: “If there was a way to file an injunction to stop this serial animal killer, PETA would do so, as this woman doesn’t care about the lives she wastes or listen to vital advice and is still treating live animals like stuffed toys: as disposable.”

Newkirk also commented on the grim prospects for the new kitten, saying: “If William Hill took totally tasteless bets, the odds would favour those betting on how little time this kitten has on Earth, given the hideous track record of animal deaths in Price’s custody. No one could call it ‘care’.”

Katie has faced multiple pet tragedies, with four dogs – Blade, Queenie, Sharon, and Sparkle – having been killed by cars near her Mucky Mansion, and a horse meeting a similar fate in 2017.

In a tragic incident in 2020, her dog Rolo suffocated after becoming trapped in an electric armchair; Katie admitted to giving him cannabis oil, unaware that it was illegal without veterinary consent.

Additionally, Katie disclosed the loss of a chameleon and the necessity to euthanise a designer cat named Frog. In her memoir, she revealed the heart-wrenching moment: “He had a neurological disease. Within days it had spread through his body. So I cuddled him in my arms and he had to be put to sleep.”

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan shares horrendous sextortion attempt that left her ‘panicked’

Loose Women star Nadia Sawalha has opened up about receiving a horrendous sextortion email that left her panicked – an experience that co-star Coleen Nolan also faced

Loose Women stars Nadia Sawalha and Coleen Nolan has opened up about the “anxiety” they felt when they received sextortion emails that claimed to have access to intimate videos of them.

Speaking on Loose Women today, Nadia shared how she had received an email with the opening line, “hello pervert”, which then attempted to blackmail her over alleged videos.

“It said, ‘We have all the videos of you having a happy time – giving yourself some alone time.’ And I thought, ‘I don’t think I have any videos of that.’ But then I went to fear again because then with deep fake, could there be?” she said.

Nadia Sawalha had also been through a sextortion attempt

“I felt anxious. I’m a 60-year-old woman who’s listened to countless podcasts about this, I know the information, I’ve read stuff about it, I’ve read terrifying stories about children killing themselves.

She added: “Because I had all that information, by the time I got to the end of the email, I simply deleted the email because I knew that this was simply a phishing expedition.”

Coleen Nolan added that she had also received the same email and feared that someone had hacked into her phone. “Reading down, it said, ‘We’ve got all your videos and what you’ve done.’ I was just like, ‘Please can you send them to me, I’d be interested in seeing them as I’ve never made one in my life.’

“But it was horrendous,” she added, while Nadia said: “You do feel panicked, don’t you?” Coleen continued: “I knew I hadn’t done the videos but had they hacked into my phone? Were they going to lie on that? They said they were going to send it to my family and my work and kids. It did click in and then I deleted it.”

The panel discussed the rise in sextortion after the release of Channel 4’s documentary Hunting My Sextortion Scammer. The one-off film sees Rizzle Kick’s star Jordan Stephens fly over 4,000 miles to confront a Nigerian sextortion scammer.

In the documentary, Jordan looks into how teenage boys are being impacted by social media sextortion – where scammers trick young men into sending nude pictures of themselves before financially blackmailing them.

“Obviously I knew about scamming before but I was learning [about sextortion] in real time,” Jordan said of the investigation. “To learn that boys are taking their own lives was heartbreaking and devastating.

“It’s boys not understanding the consequences or risks of engaging online but with that panic, they can go from a normal life to not a life within half an hour and that is really scary.”

Doctor Malcolm Donaldson, the husband of The Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson, left a whopping sum in his will

Doctor Malcolm Donaldson, the husband of The Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson, left a whopping sum in his will after dying aged 75. Dr Donaldson was a paediatric consultant and senior lecturer in child health at the University of Glasgow until his retirement in 2012.

Following his retirement, he was made honorary senior research fellow at its School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing. He was given the nickname ‘Dr Gruffalo’ by those he treated at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.

Dr Donaldson’s wife is The Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson. She penned the book in 1999 and so far, it has sold a whopping 13.5 million copies. Now it has been revealed he left a huge sum to Julia and their family in his will following his death.

Probate documents have revealed that Dr Donaldson left an estate, which was valued at a huge £1,322,528. His will, written in 2020, said that he wanted his estate to go to his family.

At the time of his death, tributes flooded in for Dr Donaldson. The British Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes (BSPED) said: ‘His contributions will continue to resonate in the field of paediatric endocrinology and child health in the UK, Europe and beyond for many years to come. His warmth, wisdom and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all you knew him.”

Axel Scheffler, who illustrated the Gruffalo books, wrote in a tribute to Malcolm at the time of his death: “I have known Malcolm for 30 years and always admired his enthusiasm for our books, Julia’s work and children’s books in general.

“All this beside being a paediatric consultant and giving lectures all over the world. His true passion was performing with Julia on stage, playing the guitar and acting – especially his legendary suave role of the Fox in The Gruffalo. He will be deeply missed.”

In an interview last year, Julia quipped that the Gruffalo – the main character of her most famous work – “hogged the attention”. She said: “I think The Gruffalo’s the one everyone has heard of, even people who haven’t read the book.

“To be honest, what I like is when people single out one of my other books as their favourite as I think The Gruffalo’s a bit spoilt. He hogs too much of the attention really.”

She admitted she didn’t think the book would even get published, adding: “I didn’t really think it was going to get published. I had no idea. I had had quite a few rejections from other stories I’d written.”

Dr Donaldson was married to Julia for over five decades before his sad death in September last year.

Hulk Hogan’s family have spoken out for the first time since the WWE legend died. The wrestling icon’s death aged 71 was announced on Thursday after reports of a cardiac arrest.

Reports have suggested medics rushed to his home in Clearwater, Florida just days after Hulk’s pal revealed he was unable to talk. Hulk’s health had caused concern among fans in recent weeks as a representative for the WWE icon denied speculation he was gravely ill

Following his death, Hulk’s family took to his official Instagram page to announce the news themselves. Their heartbreaking statement read: “It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend.

“Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones. At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends.

Hulk tied the knot with Sky in 2023 after the breakdown of his marriage to Jennifer McDaniel in 2021. He was married to Linda Claridge, 65, for 26 years before they split in 2009.

They welcomed two children together – Brooke, 36, and Nick, 34. Hulk and Linda suffered a family fallout with daughter Brooke, who skipped his wedding to Sky.

The couple said ‘I do’ in a “small affair” in Florida after getting engaged two months prior. Hulk went all out and bought a six carat diamond engagement ring worth $100,000 for the yoga instructor.

A friend revealed that Hulk was “the happiest he’s ever been” with his new wife and claimed that she “changed his life.” The source confirmed that unfortunately, his daughter Brooke did not turn up.

Brooklyn Beckham seemingly extended an olive branch to his family with his birthday tribute to his grandfather, Ted. The aspiring chef took to his Instagram Stories to share a picture of himself and David Beckham’s dad suited and booted at a lavish event as they posed for the camera.

In the snap, Brooklyn had his arm on Ted’s shoulder. He wrote in the caption: “Happy birthday granddad. xx I love you,” along with two red heart emojis. Brooklyn snubbed most of his family member’s recent birthdays but made sure to pay tribute to his little sister, Harper Seven, when she turned 14 this month.

Harper is the baby of the family, doted on by her parents, as well as her older brothers – Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, and 20-year-old Cruz.

Brooklyn marked his little sister’s birthday by posting a photo of him and wife Nicola with Harper to his stories with the caption: “Happy Birthday Harper. We love you x.” However, he wasn’t there for the birthday celebrations.

The former aspiring photographer snubbed his mother Victoria’s 51st birthday and his father David’s milestone 50th birthday celebrations earlier this year.

He also failed to congratulate his footballer dad when he was named in the King’s Birthday Honours List and became a Sir. Sources close to Brooklyn claimed he isn’t ready to make up with the rest of his family. A source told The Sun: “There is too much water under the bridge.”

Explaining the reasoning behind Brooklyn sharing the picture of him with Harper, they added: “Brooklyn and Harper were always incredibly close. He adores her and so does his wife Nicola. They have an incredibly close bond and despite everything that has gone on, Brooklyn idolises her.

“He wanted to put out a message on social media for her to show this bond still exists. He wanted this to be about Harper and he wanted to show people how much he and Nicola care about her. Just because they love Harper and want to show their affection, doesn’t mean they’re trying to make amends with the family.”

Brooklyn’s post to his grandfather comes after his godfather, Elton John, reportedly helped ease the tensions within the family. The music legend, 78, recently hosted him and his wife Nicola for lunch in Cannes alongside his husband David Furnish. The gathering took place at the upscale La Guerite beach club, where the group reportedly addressed the strained family dynamics.

“Elton is the showbiz equivalent of Switzerland,” a source said in relation to Elton’s peace-keeping attempts. “He’s utterly neutral in this row.”

The insider explained to The Sun: “Elton of old may have relished in taking sides – in this case his young godson, Brooklyn, but two years off his 80th birthday, he’s a man who has seen and done it all. He just wants everyone to be happy. “There is no side-taking as such, he simply adores his godson, and really has a laugh with Nicola who he thinks has a great sense of humour.”

Elton’s role as godfather is reportedly something he takes seriously. “He wants to look after them in his role as ‘spiritual adviser’ as a godfather,” the source said.

The singer and his partner reportedly think the feud is “terribly sad” and suggested that “life is short” as he urged them to make up.
