This Morning boss Martin Frizell has said that the Phillip Schofield drama “helped” him while dealing with Fiona Phillips’ Alzheimer’s diagnosis. He recently said that the drama at work gave him something else to focus on while things were all go at home.

Fiona was 61-years-old when she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in 2022. Since then, husband Martin has been by her side caring for her.

Martin talked about how he has coped in his wife’s new memoir, Remember When: My Life With Alzheimer’s, which Martin co-wrote along with journalist friend Alison Phillips. It comes after John Torode’s wife Lisa Faulkner breaks her silence after his MasterChef sacking.

During the diagnosis, Martin was also dealing with some drama while working at This Morning. However, he said that this managed to take “his mind off Fiona at home”. In 2023, This Morning’s Phillip resigned after more than 20 years on the programme after having an affair with a younger colleague.

Co-host Holly Willoughby then resigned later after being informed by police of a plot to kill her. Martin has said that due to being busy at work, it gave him some “structure and normality”.Speaking in the book, Martin wrote: “I was busy with work at that time. We’d had big changes at This Morning with Phillip Schofield leaving, Holly Willoughby stepping down after the pressures of a serious kidnap threat, and Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard becoming the new hosts in March 2024.

“It meant there was a lot to sort out to make the show the best it possibly could be, but being that busy actually helped me. I loved going into work – not because it was an escape from what was going on at home, but because it gave me structure and normality.

“And it meant that I didn’t have time to think about what was to come for Fiona. For both of us.” While this was going on, Martin shared that Fiona’s “long-term memory was functioning better than the short-term” but she found it difficult to leave the house due to becoming more anxious.

Martin quit This Morning a year after the This Morning scandal after first joining in 2014 as editor of Loose Women before taking over at This Morning.

In a statement last November, he said: “Next year I’m expecting my family priorities to change so I need to free up time for them. I love my team at ITV and will miss them and the thrill of live telly but it’s an always on, 24 hours a day, seven days a week commitment and I won’t be able to do both.

It’s been a privilege to lead truly great presenters and producers, between us we’ve turned out more than six thousand hours of live topical telly, that’s around 20,000 items and the gongs are always nice.”

Martin discusses in the book at Fiona is now unable to “brush her teeth, shower and use her phone” without his help. He said that his wife “wouldn’t know how to turn the kettle on now” and now “sits and stares for most of the day”.

TOWIE star Pete Wicks has dished the dirt on how he’s able to remember certain dance move on Strictly Come Dancing as he revealed all while appearing on ITV’s Loose Women

Strictly Come Dancing star Pete Wicks has shared how he learns the dance moves while rehearsing for the much-loved BBC show.

The 36-year-old revealed all when he appeared on the latest instalment of Loose Women alongside his dance partner Jowita Przystal. Talking about how they’re currently doing in the compeition, the pair went on to discuss what goes on behind the scenes.

Jowita said: “I found a way that we work best, for example we write a script for every dance. So we have a story for everything and Pete has his own book and he write things in his own way, so yeah it doesn’t make any sense,” she explained.

Pete added: “I don’t understand the name of what the steps are so I have to name them myself.” When asked by Christine Lampard if he could name some of the steps he made up, he said: “Not on daytime TV.”

On Tuesday (October 1), Pete and Jowita caught up with their fans on social media by hosting a Q&A on Pete’s Instagram Stories. One of the first questions asked was: “How are your trotters holding up?” to which Pete replied: “Interesting question and this week, badly. Why’s that?” he asked Jowita who sheepishly replied: “Because you’re barefoot…”

He continued: “Because I’m dancing barefoot. No shoes.” Jowita then interjected to say: “But I clean the floor every morning I come here for you,” to which Pete said; “She cleans the floor every morning, hopefully, they’ll do the same in the studio but yeah, any of you foot fans out there you’re in for a treat this week.”

In addition to this, Pete was also asked what his biggest challenge will be this week. The pair admitted it would be “smiling more” before they were asked how things are going so far in training.

“We’ve just finished eight hours of dancing and I’m shattered, my feet hurt, I’m very sweaty…” Pete said as Jowita interjected: “But it’s amazing, right? I just stepped on your foot like three seconds ago, unfortunately, and because Pete’s barefoot it’s quite painful. I’m so sorry.”

Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field shared a candid family admission as she detailed the moment she told her young daughter about her father’s drug addiction.

Global pop star Robbie previously suffered with substance abuse and mental health issues during the peak of his drug addiction.

The star has spoken openly about his battle and fans got more of an insight into his past on his Netflix documentary. Wife Ayda, 45, appeared on ITV’s Loose Women panel on Thursday, October 3 and gave fans a glimpse into her family life and shared the moment she told her daughter about her father’s past.

The couple share four children together, Theodora ‘Teddy’ Rose born in November 2012, Charlton ‘Charlie’ Valentine born in October 2014, Colette ‘Coco’ Josephine born in August 2018 and Beau Benedict Enthoven born in February 2020.

During her appearance on Loose Women alongside panellists Charlene White, Denise Welch and Nadia Sawalha, Ayda admitted that she likes to be ‘honest’ with her children.

Charlene started off and asked: “How open are you with the kids when it comes to talking to them about their dad’s past?”

Ayda revealed: “We’ve always had an open relationship with our kids. I don’t think there has ever been a moment where we have sat Teddy down and said ‘you know your father is an addict, done drugs and slept with lots of women’.”

She continued: “It’s not something we talk about after school but there was a documentary on Netflix and I think there are things that come up in our lives and we have very age appropriate conversations about their father’s story and we have been through as a couple and we don’t shy away from that.”

Revealing why she chose to only tell her oldest, she went on to say: “In our house we are very honest and Teddy is aware that her father is an alcoholic and drug addict and that’s why daddy doesn’t touch these things. She knows to a certain degree and when the other kids get old enough they too will know.

“For us we just address these situations so that they feel safe so when they are out in the world they already know in case someone points it out to them.”

Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford has addressed her recent weight loss, as she made a return to the popular ITV show.

The 84-year-old made an epic comeback to the celebrity panel on Monday (October 7) following a hiatus due to the passing of her husband, Stephen Way. In August it was announced Gloria had become a widow after her husband Stephen lost his battle after suffering with a lengthy illness.

Talking to Charlene White, Olivia Attwood and Denise Welch, Gloria provided her co-stars with insight with how she’s currently doing. This then led Charlene to add that Gloria is now “smaller” than she was when she was last on the show.

Charlene said: “Obviously grief presents itself in different ways and I it can do so physically as well. Before anyone starts, you know, worrying that you’re unwell and that you’re smaller than you were when you were here last time, can you clear that up?”

Joking that she was always the shortest in the Loose Women clang, Gloria then said: “The thing is that, obviously when your partner’s ill, like the anxiety and the worry and all of that. Of course I’ve lost weight because you don’t eat properly, you’re always thinking of the other person.

“But I am fine, thank you very much indeed and my two sons when they come to visit they always watch what I eat.” She added: “But I am fine!”

Gloria then went on to thank her co-stars and everyone working on Loose Women. Fans watching at home also shared kind words as Gloria made her return.

Back in August, Stephen’s family released a statement announcing his death. The statement read: “It is with huge sadness and very heavy hearts that we share the passing of Stephen Way, Gloria’s beloved husband, who lost his battle yesterday afternoon. Stephen had been heroically fighting his illness… but always with great tenacity and a positive spirit.”

Gloria also said: “Stephen was a gentleman and a giant of a man, who will leave the most enormous void not only in my life, but our entire family. He was an incredibly kind, generous, and caring man, with a delightfully quirky sense of humour, which remained till the end. We had a tremendously happy 25-year marriage and did so many beautiful and exciting things together that I will always cherish.”

On Friday (August 1) This Morning returned to screens for another episode – with Dermot and Olivia on hand to give viewers their daily dose of all things news, celebs and lifestyle.

However, just minutes in and viewers had a lot to say about Olivia’s outfit.

The documentary maker looked stunning in a mustard-coloured smart shirt, teamed with long navy blue trousers. Olivia wore her golden locks in a slicked-back style and rocked some smart golden glasses too.

Olivia made her debut hosting This Morning last week. The Loose Women star co-presented the programme alongside show stalwart Dermot O’Leary. The star’s involvement in the show was announced last month.

“Welcome to your Friday This Morning, and look who’s joined us today, it’s only the lovely Olivia Attwood, everyone!” Dermot said at the top of the show, drawing applause from the crew.

“Thanks, guys!” she exclaimed. “Welcome to the famalam!” Dermot said as he joined in with the applause. “This is not a drill, this is happening!” she then said. “It’s happening!” Dermot said.

‘Life isn’t fair sometimes,’ Lisa told

Fans of Jeremy Clarkson and his partner Lisa Hogan have rallied around as the Diddly Squat farming couple have been rocked by a double blow.

Ex Top Gear co-host Jeremy, 65, recently revealed the TV series farm will close for two months due to a “devastating” TB outbreak.

And then on Instagram today (Friday August 1), actress Lisa, 51, shared sad news about a puppy passing away. “You’re doing an amazing job with them,” one fan consoled Lisa as she opened up about the heartbreaking death.

It was reported earlier this month that Arya, one of Jeremy and Lisa’s dogs, was expecting.

A caption on an Instagram post pondered: “How many PUPPIES do you reckon we will (well, Arya) have?!!”

Followers excited by the pregnancy announcement didn’t have long to wait to find out. An announcement at the start of this week confirmed a litter of 12 pups was welcomed into the world.

However, a Friday morning post came with an unhappy update which read: “Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land.”

How fans reacted

Instagram users were distraught to learn about Mr Grey. “Big hugs and tears, it happens sometimes, sadly. Sending lots of love and caring thoughts,” read just one among many sympathetic messages.

“Aw I’m so sorry… poor Mum, she looks so sad,” wrote a second follower.

And a third person contributed: “So sorry Lisa and I’ve just heard the news about the TB, I’m so sorry you are all going through this [blank], life isn’t fair sometimes.”

It’s been a hard hitting 24 hours.

To which Lisa responded: “Thanks, it’s been a hard-hitting 24 hours.”

‘Not enjoying farming this week’

Meanwhile, Lisa’s game show presenter partner Jeremy has reflected on how those linked to his Cotswolds farming enterprise were “absolutely devastated” by the TB news.

He explained Diddly Squat will be shut until another test can be done on his cattle. Jeremy also added a calf had also become unwell following the outbreak.

He said during a Times Radio appearance Jeremy said: “It’s awful, it is awful. You have a test every few months on the cows and then you sort of become blasé, it’s a hypothetical threat.

“And then the vet looks up as he did yesterday lunchtime and said ‘I’m really sorry this one’s failed.’ So that means we’re now locked down and it’s just dreadful. Absolutely dreadful.”

He went on: “It’s only been not even 24 hours since I found out and it occupies my mind. Well it was occupying my mind but I got up this morning and found one of my puppies has died. And we’ve got a very sickly calf.”

Jeremy added: “Honestly, farming? I’m not enjoying it this week.”

England are champions of Europe… again!

The England Lionesses retained their Euros crown last night (Sunday, July 27) by beating Spain on penalties in the final.

However, some fans still found reason to complain, with their ire aimed at England legend Alex Scott…

They previously won it back in 2022, thanks to a Chloe Kelly goal against Germany.

It was Chloe Kelly, 27, who proved to be the difference again this time after she scored the winning penalty against Spain.

England had gone into the break 1-0 down after a goal from Spain’s Mariona Caldente. However, the Lionesses fought back, scoring an equaliser through Alessia Russo.

The game eventually went to penalties. England goalkeeper, Hannah Hampton, 24, saved two penalties, whilst Alex Greenwood, Niamh Charles and Chloe Kelly all scored theirs, winning 3-1.

However, before all that happened, some fans were complaining.

Coverage of the final was shown on both BBC One and ITV1 – and viewers weren’t happy with the team fronting the BBC broadcast.

Gabby Logan fronted the final for the BBC, with former Lionesses Steph Houghton and Ellen White, as well as former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, providing their expertise as pundits.

Meanwhile, Alex Scott was pitchside, where she interviewed a range of stars, including ex-England keeper Rachel Brown-Finnis, Fran Kirby and England legend Jill Scott.

After the game, Alex even shared a tearful interview with England captain (and her close friend) Leah Williamson.

However, upon learning that Alex was amongst the pundits on the BBC coverage, some fans switched over.

“Can’t listen to that Alex Scott talk football if she’s on there,” one viewer fumed.

“Not a very difficult decision to make, @ITV with @laura_woodsy @IanWright0 or the [bleep] that is @BBCSport and Alex Scott,” another said.

“Well done all at ITV, Laura Woods is peerless and the final line-up of Emma [Hayes], Caz [Karen Carney] and [Ian] Wrighty perfect much, much better than the awful Alex Scott and Salty Fara Williams on the Beeb,” a third wrote.

However, some viewers were enjoying Alex on punditry duty, with some growing emotional following her tearful chat with Leah.

“OH ALEX SCOTT STOP CRYING UR GONNA SET ME OFF AGAIN,” one viewer tweeted.

“Both of them tearing up [crying emoji],” another said.

“Alex Scott interviewing Michelle Agyemang is too much for me to handle right now,” a third wrote.

“Daily reminder that I love Alex Scott,” another added.

The audience at Oasis’ latest concert at Wembley Stadium included Romeo Beckham tonight. He was spotted in the crowd at the venue in London beside a footballer who plays for a rival squad to David Beckham’s favourite team.

Romeo, 22, has been spotted at the gig, which is the band’s fourth performance at the stadium on the Oasis Live ’25 tour, this evening. The model was seen alongside footballer John Stones, 31, in an exclusive section of the venue.

He appeared to be in good spirits in photos that show him waiting for the reunited rock band to take to the stage earlier tonight. It comes after Wayne Rooney is banned from watching son, 15, play football for sad reason.

The photos showed Romeo in the VIP area of Wembley Stadium, which welcomed a host of other celebrities last weekend. He was spotted beside Manchester City player John, who plays for England internationally, in the crowd.

Romeo, who supports Arsenal, was seen smiling and talking whilst in the exclusive section, which is located on the lower level on the venue. He was seen speaking to John “at length” whilst they waited for Oasis to perform at the gig.

His father David notably played for Manchester United for more than a decade instead. A life-long fan of the team, he’s poked fun over being rivals with Man City, supporting by Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher, over the years.

It included after he had watched the documentary Oasis Knebworth 1996, which was released in 2021. Alongside a photo of himself and pal Noel, football manager David wrote in a post on social media: “What a great film mate … Oasis at Knebworth 1996 … Absolutely loved it … Took me right back to the good old 90’s when United were winning everything.”

David has himself been teased over his loyalty to United. As reported at the time, Romeo trolled his father in 2023 after the retired footballer’s team lost 3-2 to Arsenal in a match at Emirates Stadium that they had both attended.

Alongside a post-match selfie showing them stood outside the stadium following his team’s victory, Romeo wrote in a message to his father on Instagram at the time: “Sleep tight dad.” David responded on the platform: “Whatever.”

David has previously spoken about Romeo not supporting United and reportedly once said that he was “disappointed” when he found out about his love of Arsenal. He’s said that he let his children support who they want to though.

Speaking to Shortlist in 2012, he said: “I tried to get Man United shirts on them early.” David then confirmed that Romeo supports Arsenal and told the outlet that he believes it was prompted by attending one of their games once.

Myleene Klass has talked about the devastating moment she caught her ex Graham Quinn cheating on her with a well-known celebrity at her own birthday party. Speaking on the We Need To Talk podcast, the Loose Women star, 47, alleged that the shock incident happened at her home, well before they married.

“I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony,” said Myleene. “I’m in my house, it’s my party. They weren’t having sex, but they were unzipping each other,” she claimed. “I kicked everybody out of the party – including his mum and dad.”

The mum-of-three didn’t name the celeb in question, but she added that the woman was famous for building “a family brand.” In the wake of the alleged dalliance, Myleene claimed Graham apologised and blamed it on alcohol. Despite insisting she has “made peace with that situation”, Myleene says it turned her world upside down. “My life literally broke apart very, very publicly,” she told podcast host Paul C Brunson.

Despite happening over a decade ago, trauma therapist Stefan Walter tells new such a distressing discovery inevitably caused long-lasting scars. “Any betrayal shakes us to our core – we think we’re in a loving, trusting relationship, and that our partner is loyal to us, too. When those beliefs are suddenly shattered, it causes emotional trauma that can become hidden – sometimes for decades.”

Stefan likens Myleene’s experience to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), saying, “With something like this, you often keep reliving it and having nightmares. Emotional trauma is just as profound as physical pain, if not more so.”

He adds that Graham’s reported infidelity may have led Myleene to doubt herself. “We start to question ourselves and think, ‘Am I worthy?’ It can reactivate past trauma of times where we’ve not felt good or been overlooked, so it’s a very deep wound.”

Addressing the incident after so many years may help her lay old ghosts to rest. “It’s probably part of her healing. Talking about what she went through, showing how she’s rebuilt her sense of self without shame or embarrassment, is probably helpful,” Stefan adds.

Still, a source close to the star also tells new she may never fully recover from the heartbreak. “It may be years in her past, but Myleene found the whole thing deeply upsetting – in a way, it will never go away.

“She believes in love and wanted to stay married forever, despite some doubts beforehand. It was very brave of her to speak up. It’s only now, that she can be truthful about how much it affected her, as it was such a painful chapter of her life.”

Myleene and former bodyguard Graham got together when she was in Hear’Say and dated for six years before having baby Ava in 2007. Their second daughter, Hero Harper, was born in 2011 and they got married that October. Graham left six months later, and they divorced in 2013.

Myleene later said, “something didn’t feel right”, and that the night before their wedding, “I was in the bath and I was just sobbing.” She also told how the day was a disaster. “My best mate wasn’t even at my wedding,” she said. “It was miserable… I literally cried the entire reception.

“We had to haggle our way through with the restaurant, could we have some burgers and put the tables together? There was no planning – I wasn’t allowed to plan a wedding.”

Their eventual split came after Myleene suspected Graham had been unfaithful again. She says she turned up unannounced where he was working, adding, “I knew there’d been somebody in that room.” She also said Graham refused to sign a prenup, and that the financial mess sparked by their divorce affected her mental health. “I couldn’t breathe. Finances were spiralling. I thought, ‘I’m going to lose everything,’” she said.

Despite vowing never to marry again, she’s now engaged to Simon Motson, a PR guru she met on a blind date in 2015. She announced she was pregnant with their first child on Valentine’s Day in 2019, and gave birth to their son Apollo that August. His arrival was especially emotional as Myleene experienced four miscarriages before he came along. In an Instagram post in 2020 she wrote, “I am Mama to 7 babies, Ava, Hero, Apollo my rainbow baby and 4 little stars in the sky.”

The couple announced their engagement in September 2020, but are yet to reveal a wedding date. “It’s one of those things that’s rumbling along,” Myleene said last year.Romantically, Simon popped the question on the fifth anniversary of their first date, after transforming their shed into a replica of the bar they met in. He borrowed the same table and chairs they sat on at London’s Little House private members’ club. Myleene recalled, “He even replicated the dinner – burger and fries, followed by cherry pie. When he got down on one knee and started fumbling under the table, I thought he was joking. Then I thought: ‘Oh my God, he’s for real.’ I was speechless.”
