Davina McCall ‘worried’ ahead of live TV return after harrowing brain tumour operation

Months after her brain tumour operation, Davina McCall is gearing up for her return to live TV as she prepares for Comic Relief’s 40th anniversary with a star-studded cast.

Davina McCall is looking forward to her return to live TV hosting for Comic Relief’s 40th anniversary – but she’s concerned over how hectic Red Nose Day can be.

As Comic Relief celebrates its 40th anniversary on the BBC, all eyes are on Alison Hammond to keep the energy buzzing and the money rolling in. The This Morning favourite is bringing her signature joy to the big night.

“Even with comedians around, Alison Hammond will be the biggest source of laughter,” says Jonathan Ross. “She’s a human dynamo – I’m looking forward to hearing her infectious laugh.”

Joining Alison, 50, and Jonathan for Red Nose Day’s night of TV are RylanAlesha DixonDavina McCall, and Joel Dommett. They’ll lead the BBC One coverage from 7pm to 10pm, before Tom Allen and AJ Odudu take over on BBC Two at 10pm.

Jonathan Ross, 64, is making a special return to Comic Relief, having co-hosted the first televised Red Nose Day show in 1988 with Sir Lenny Henry and Griff Rhys Jones.

“It was an incredibly exciting time,” he says, “I’ve stayed on the periphery, stepping in whenever asked. When they invited me back, it felt like a great way to commemorate the first show.”

For Tom, 41, Comic Relief was a childhood highlight. “I’ve always loved the anarchy,” he says, “When I was at school it was amazing because everyone got to wear a Red Nose in assembly!” He’s also thrilled to reunite with AJ, saying: “She’s the best, we always laugh together.”

Davina, 57, is no stranger to Comic Relief and she knows how chaotic things can get. “Everyone backstage is encouraging, warm and funny,” she says, “But you never know what’s going to happen. You just know that even if things go off-piste, everybody can keep the show going.

Last year, The Masked Singer star was diagnosed with a rare type of benign brain tumour, a colloid cyst, after a routine health scan and she announced she’d undergo surgery to have it removed.

On November 15, 2024, her partner Michael Douglas then took to Instagram on her behalf announcing she would be “off-grid” as she recovered from her operation. “She is in great shape and in very good hands,” he wrote at the time.

Days later, Davina relayed an emotional video on her account, penning a message for her two million followers. “I am feeling much better . Had a great night’s sleep in my own bed . Have a couple of sleeps during the day which keeps my brain clear … slowly slowly,” she’d written.

Davina will join a star-studded cast for Comic Relief this year, including Rylan, Alison Hammond, Joel Dommett, Alesha Dixon and Jonathan Ross. The ITV presenter hosted the first ever Comic Relief night in 1988

Lorraine Kelly slams ‘unfair’ double standard with Kate Middleton dress

Lorraine Kelly has criticised the “double standard” that women can face in fashion while chatting about Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton’s ‘secret message’ dress

Lorraine Kelly has spoken out about the double standards that women in the public eye face around their fashion while discussing Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton’s Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration dress – which some say features a secret message.

The royal returned to the annual Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey yesterday alongside King Charles after both missed last year’s event while they underwent cancer treatment. The Princess of Wales wore a stunning red Catherine Walker coat and a hat by Gina Foster in the same colour

Speaking on her ITV show, the TV presenter spoke to Vogue Williams and ITV News’ Paul Brand about the Princess of Wales’ dress and how some thought it featured a secret message of solidarity to Canada amid rising tensions between the country and US president Donald Trump.

“People were saying that it was a stand of solidarity with Canada because it’s in their flag. Isn’t it beautiful?” Lorraine said.

Later on, Vogue pointed out how Princess Kate and Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner accidentally wore matching dresses. “She came with the same outfit. She does look fantastic and maybe she was in solidarity with Canada as well,” Vogue said.

“I doubt they were texting each other before to see what each other was wearing but that’s happened to me, you just have to own it.”

Paul jumped in: “I think it’s a bit harsh. She’s just wearing red. She’s wearing a dress that’s a suitable length for the season. I think you guys have got it tough. If you look at all the men, I bet in Westminster Abbey they were wearing a navy blue suit or a grey suit – and that’s the uniform.

“But as women, if you wear the same colour basically you’re accused of wearing the same outfit. It’s a lot harder.”

Lorraine added: “Angela gets a lot of stick for what she wears for various reasons and I really think that’s unfair because we wouldn’t be doing that to Keir Starmer.”

Later on in the show, Lorraine “set the record straight” after recording a jokey message for Vernon Ray’s radio show, telling him off for putting on a Scottish accent. She said: “I was just asked to do that as a joke for Vernon Kay and it was very, very funny, but I think a lot of people thought I was being serious. I wasn’t. His attempt at a Scottish accent was appalling though!

Spencer Matthews’ controversial reason why he won’t share fortune with his three kids

Spencer Matthews has made a fortune since his Made In Chelsea days but here he tells us why his three kids won’t be getting their hands on his cash

Millionaire Spencer Matthews has vowed his three children will need to earn their own money because he won’t be passing on his colossal family wealth. The former Made In Chelsea star, 36, is the son of multimillionaire Eden Rock hotelier David Matthews, and was educated at Eton College where fees are currently £63,000 a year.

While he found fame as a playboy who loved to party, Spencer has spent the last five years transforming his image from reality TV playboy to sober businessman and endurance athlete and it’s convinced him not to afford his children a life of privilege – or a trust fund

Vogue and Spencer pose outdoors for a family snap with their children Theodore, 6, Gigi, 4, and Otto, 2

Spencer tells today’s Notebook magazine: “Suffer is too strong a word, but it’s very important that my kids have to challenge themselves and experience things on their own. There’s no point in doing well in life and then giving
it all to your kids. It’s doing them a huge disservice.

Spencer married model Vogue Williams, 39, in June 2018 in a high society wedding at the family’s Glen Affric Estate in Cannich. At the time, Vogue was seven months pregnant with their son Theodore, who is now six. He was followed by Gigi, four, and Otto who turns three in April.

Spencer is already ensuring his children have challenges and Theodore has recently joined his local Parkrun, perhaps inspired by Spencer’s ultramarathons. Spencer says: “Theodore is starting to run now. He ran two kilometres the other day. I was just so proud of him because the kid got around two laps, and some kids give up after one lap because they’re given that option. The more comfort you wrap around people, the weaker they will become.”

Comedian Jimmy Carr has inspired Spencer’s vision of fatherhood. Spencer says, “Jimmy quite eloquently talks about trust fund kids who are given everything, and he sees them as just being really unfortunate, actually. And I would completely agree.”

Spencer spent a day as a delivery driver in a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van
ImSpencer wants his brood to learn the value of hard work. He adds: “If you’re a young man who’s just given everything, or a young woman, who’s just given everything, you may not ever understand the need to work because you have what you think you want, and then, therefore, you won’t ever feel proud of yourself. You won’t ever have a sense of achievement.”

In today’s Notebook interview, Spencer also talks about how his battle with alcohol left him “a danger to myself” and shares his experience of becoming a delivery driver for the day behind the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van.

Spencer has partnered with Mercedes-Benz Vans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Sprinter, their most enduring and reliable van on the market, which has kept businesses moving for three decades.

BBC Radio 2 chaos as Jeremy Vine has fire evacuation – before segment on cremation

BBC Radio 2’s Jeremy Vine said it was the first time he’d had to evacuate the building in ’20 years’ as he returned to the airwaves after having to stand on the streets of London with his team

BBC Radio 2 was in chaos this afternoon as Jeremy Vine’s radio show was forced to evacuate for around 15 minutes.

A fire alarm went off and everyone in the studio was forced to evacuate the Broadcasting House building by Oxford Street in central London, making the presenter choose to cancel a segment on cremation. BBC Radio 6 Music were also briefly impacted by the fire alarm

Mid conversation with a guest, a voice spoke out from speakers in the studio, telling staff to ‘leave the building immediately’. Jeremy apologised for the inconvenience before playing music. The music lasted for almost 20 minutes before he returned to explain what happened.

He said live on radio: “It’s BBC Radio 2. Jeremy Vine here. I do apologise, we did just have a proper fire alarm here. There wasn’t a fire but we had the thing that I’ve not had in 20 years where not just one light goes off but two.

“The orange light which means there could be a fire and then the red light and then the announcement in the studio which looked as if there was one. We came out the building. We stood outside in the sun. There’s no fire. We came back in. Because there is no fire we are going to cancel the item we were doing on cremation.”

Before continuing with his radio show, he joked with a guest: “It was a very impressive evacuation by the BBC, we have got to take it seriously.” Fans listening to the radio show quickly rushed to social media to share their shock at the sudden evacuation from the studio.

One user said on X/Twitter: “Fire alarm goes off at the studios of BBC Radio 2 during The Jeremy Vine Show. The building was evaluated for the first time in 20 years according to Jeremy Vine,” while another posted: “Wow.. Actual dead air live on BBC Radio 2.. Fire alarm goes off at the studios during Jeremy Vine slot and the building’s been evacuated by the guess of it.. Never heard a radio station go silent like that before and now it seems like it’s on auto-pilot..”

One concerned fan added: “@BBCRadio2 streaming music whilst off air live.. fire alarm went off according to Jeremy Vine hope all safe!” and another posted: “This is peak Jeremy Vine no notes.”

BBC presenter’s replacement revealed after unexpected quitting following 26 year stint

The BBC have announced who will be replaceming Mishal Husain after the journalist left her role on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme at the end of last year after 11 years on the show

The BBC have made a huge announcement following the surprise exit of one of its radio presenters.

Mishal Husain unexpectedly left BBC 4 in December. Mishal was on of the Today programme’s main presenters but concluded her 26-year career with the organisation before the turn of the year

Now, it’s been revealed she is being replaced by former Middle East correspondent Anna Foster. The former BBC Radio 5 Live and Radio 1’s Newsbeat presenter is stepping in to present a number of editions of the show from Salford. It marks the BBC’s efforts to represent more areas of the UK beyond London.

Anna said in a statement following the announcement: “There are few more exciting opportunities for a journalist than presenting Today, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team. I’ve always loved making important, agenda-setting, engaging radio, and there’s nowhere better to do that. It’s such a beloved programme to so many people, and I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

The BBC also said that Foster’s role in covering foreign news wouldn’t stop, with the company saying viewers will still see her on TV coverage of major stories. Speaking following the announcement, the station’s controller Mohit Bakaya said: “She brings important international reporting experience at a time when it is needed so urgently by listeners to Radio 4.”

Anna has been one of a number of people to have taking on a co-host role on Today in the weeks since Mishal’s exit. Simon Jack and Jonny Dymond have also stepped in, but it’s reported BBC wanted a female host to be Mishal’s replacement in order to maintain gender balance on the show. Currently, the show’s other presenters include Emma Barnett, Justin Webb, Amol Rajan and Nick Robinson.

Mishal had joined the Today programme in 2013. However, she left her role to take on a new position at Bloomberg. Joining her co-presenters Nick Robinson and Justin Webb, as well as former Today hosts Sarah Montague and John Humphrys, the journalist took to the airwaves for one last time for the BBC in December. In her segment, she shared a few sentimental remarks about her time with the news outlet. She then closed with a heartfelt song that she felt best captured her emotions on her final day.

“The moment is now upon me, time to say farewell to this programme and to the BBC,” she told listeners on her final show. “In my time here, I have found more in me than I knew was there, and I journey on to discover what might lie within me. In the tradition of my faith, when people used to go on pilgrimage in generations past, they would not only take their leave of friends and associates, but they would ask for their forgiveness because, in those days, many did not return from the arduous journey.”

She added: “I hope, therefore, you might forgive me for the times I crashed the pips, squeezed the weather, any other dastardly deeds, and yes, the 1810 that did involve swearing. But my heartfelt thanks go to all my BBC colleagues across the UK and around the world and to you, wherever you are listening from, for your time and your trust. On this last morning, I have been allowed music and I am going to leave you with my choice.” The Monkees’ Daydream Believer then began playing, with the star adding: “From me, good morning and goodbye.”

Beyond Paradise fans delighted as BBC announces special cross-over with huge show

Death in Paradise spin-off Beyond Paradise is getting the Comic Relief treatment ahead of Red Nose Day as it joins forces with another big BBC show for an upcoming sketch

Beyond Paradise is set to join forces with another show starring Sally Bretton for Comic Relief – and it’s BBC One comedy Not Going Out.

In a sketch that will air on Red Nose Day, the worlds of detective drama Beyond Paradise and long-running comedy Not Going Out will collide in a mini cross-over special written by Lee Mack.

The comedian, who is the creator and star of Not Going Out, told Radio Times magazine: “Because Sal’s in both, it’s the idea that these two worlds collide, that her two characters collide – and comedy ensues.”

“When something’s new and different and throws you a bit of a curveball, that’s exciting,” he continued. “So this time, I thought ‘Rather than bring them to us, why don’t I go to the world of Beyond Paradise?’ So that’s what I did. Because we [Not Going Out] are in a studio a lot, being out on location and being in that world is great.”

Sally Bretton currently stars in Beyond Paradise as Humphrey’s fiancée Martha, however she’s been playing Lucy Adams – Lee’s wife – on Not Going Out for the last 18 years.

While fans are yet to find out how the sketch will work with Sally playing two characters, many took to social media to express their excitement about the upcoming cross-over.

“That’s gonna be incredible,” one wrote on X. “Two of my fave shows together? Great idea! Especially makes so much sense with Sally in them both.”

Meanwhile, another wrote: “Without clicking on the link, I can already guess how this sketch will work,” with a smiley face.

Lee revealed that the sketch was filmed in Cornwall and has the “look and feel” of Beyond Paradise but with “very Not Going Out dialogue”. However, shooting proved difficult at times. “There’s the challenge of filming it because sometimes in a shot, you’ve got two characters played by the same actor.”

Earlier this month, Not Going Out star Lee Mack and Strictly Come Dancing’s Caroline Quentin joined the cast of Beyond Paradise’s upcoming series. The show currently stars Kris Marshall (who plays DI Humphrey Goodman); Sally Bretton (Martha Lloyd); Zahra Ahmadi (DS Esther Williams); Dylan Llewellyn (PC Kelby Hartford); Barbara Flynn (Anne Lloyd) and Felicity Montagu (Margo Martins).

Meanwhile, Jamie Bamber (Archie Hughes), Jade Harrison (CS Charlie Woods), and Melina Sinadinou (Zoe Williams) will be returning to the series

Emmerdale fans work out what really happens to ‘dying’ Caleb in Steph twist

Emmerdale fans are convinced they know what really happens to Caleb Miligan after a flashforward teased he’d be left facing grave danger

Emmerdale fans have rumbled what really happens to a ‘dying’ Caleb Miligan.

A flashforward at the start of the year teased Caleb – played by Will Ash – will find himself in grave danger. A number of clips had aired, including one of Caleb flatlining on a bed with a breathing aid on, but what caused it?

When news was announced about the two limousine crashes on Valentine’s Day, fans were convinced this could lead to Caleb’s potential death but it was later revealed that the women were involved in the worst limo crash and instead three of the women – Suzy, Amy and Leyla – all lost their lives whilst Nate’s body was discovered in the lake.

Now after new scenes, fans are convinced they know what happens to Caleb in a shock twist. Caleb and Ruby killed Anthony, whilst John Sugden helped to hide the body, trying to support his boyfriend Aaron Dingle.

As well as Cain and Chas, the others knew about what had happened, but Steph was kept in the dark about what really happened to her grandfather. After she made a discovery about a gun in Caleb’s safe, could she be responsible?

Sharing their thoughts, one fan wrote: “What if Steph is the one who shoots Caleb and puts him in hospital, if he takes the bullet for Ruby? # Emmerdale @emmerdale.” Another shared in response to the original tweet: “Yeah we saw in the flashforward that Caleb is in a hospital bed so it looks like he’ll be accidently shot by Steph. I didn’t know until tonight that Caleb had a safe in the first place. I don’t think we’ve seen him use it previously #Emmerdale.”

Will Ash – who plays Caleb – previously teased Caleb would do anything to protect his family.

“He’d put his life on the line for her and to keep the secret from Steph. It’s too painful for that to get out. It’s painful enough for Caleb and Ruby. They’re just papering over the cracks. It’s inevitable that it’s going to get out,” he exclusively told us

“Without a doubt Caleb would take the blame. He didn’t see that Ruby was carrying this secret and wasn’t able to say it, but he feels gutted that he didn’t know anything. She’s sacrificed so much for him.”

Teasing a potential return for his other child Nicky, played by Lewis Cope, Will added: “I’d love for Lewis to come back. I didn’t want him to go. Nicky would find out about Ruby and grandad and it all makes sense to him why Steph was sent away, the family dynamic would be really interesting if he was to come back

Maura Higgins jokes around in new ITV Cheltenham job after drunken BRITs kiss with Danny Jones

Maura Higgins has kept a low profile since appearing to lock lips with her I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! co-star, Danny Jones, at the BRIT Awards after party on March 1

Maura Higgins has bagged a new job with ITV after appearing to share a drunken kiss with married McFly star, Danny Jones.

The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! co-stars shocked fans when they locked lips at the BRIT Awards after party in London on March 1 after reportedly spending much of the evening together. Neither Danny, 38, or Maura, 34, have referenced the scandal. However, the former ring girl from Ireland has popped up on TV today, promoting ITV’s Cheltenham Festival coverage

Dressed to impressed in a smart tweed blazer with a cream polo neck, swishing her long pony tail in a pub, Maura tells fans they’re “going to hear a lot of noise this week” as she launches into a promo for the races.

Manoeuvering her way around the boozer, rolling her eyes, she says: “Now, you’re going to hear a lot of noise this week… Willy Mullins wins another, our girl Rachel does it again, the Irish dominate Cheltenham…blah blah blah!”

She continued: “We’re gracious winners, not boastful. I’m not even going to mention Istabraq, Dawn Run, eh, Hurricane Fly!… Oh to hell with it, it’s Cheltenham and we’re going to win it all!”

The racing event is run by The Jockey Club and is Britain’s third biggest sporting event in terms of attendance, worth an estimated £274 million to the local economy. Maura, who shared the clip on her Instagram page, stars in the advert alongside former Irish jockey, Rupert ‘Ruby’ Walsh, who makes a blink and you’ll miss it appearance as one of the punters at the bar.

The Irish Love Island star jetted off to Los Angeles last week after her drunken kiss with Danny angered fans. Maura is said to be “in a bad way…and really struggling” according to pals who have rallied behind her in the wake of the scandal.

Friends of the reality star say that the last week has been “horrendous” as she has been deluged with “horrific” trolling on her social media
Speaking to the Mirror, her pal said: “Maura is a tough character but the reaction to events of the last week has been utterly relentless, and it’s fair to say it’s taken its toll. She has found all of this very difficult to navigate. She appreciates she’s in the public eye and there is extra interest around her, but the abuse is off the charts, and people need to calm down.”

Danny, meanwhile, is yet to break his silence but his wife, Georgia, did share a snap of their seven-year-old son, Cooper, on Instagram today and was flooded with support.

Telling the mum-of-one they were thinking of her, one wrote: “Hope you’re okay Georgia, you’ve got this xxx.” Another said: “Everyone is in your corner you’ve got this much love” while a third pledged: “We’re all rallied around you.

This Morning cut off air as ITV schedule change leaves fans fuming

This Morning was cut short on Tuesday by 20 minutes with fans taking to social media to express their annoyance

This Morning viewers were left fuming after the ITV show was given the chop on Tuesday, March 11 to make room for a major schedule shake-up. The programme, along with four other daytime shows including Loose Women, Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club, Tipping Point, and Lingo, faced cuts to accommodate the Cheltenham Festival coverage.

Despite not being completely booted off the air, This Morning, hosted by Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, saw its typical slot shrink by 20 minutes

Normally airing from 10am till 12:30pm, the show wrapped up early at 12:10pm today, shortly followed by ITV’s Lunchtime News ahead of the horse racing event starting at 12:45pm.

Disgruntled fans didn’t hold back on social media platform X, voicing their discontent with remarks such as: “Wait what happened to this morning? And why is the news on?”

Another viewer vented: “F*** the racing! I want to complain and Tweet about daytime TV!” reports Wales Online.

Further disruptions are expected as the Cheltenham Festival continues from Tuesday, March 11, through to Friday, March 14, causing more programming shuffles.

ITV Racing is set to bring viewers The Opening Show, a comprehensive rundown of each day’s events at the festival, airing from 9am until 10am. This means that regular programming, including reruns of the 1980s US drama Magnum P.I. , has been shuffled around to accommodate the British drama Robin of Sherwood.

However, fans of Bradley Walsh and his team of chasers can rest easy as The Chase will continue in its usual weekday slot without any changes. It’s expected that ITV’s broadcasting schedule will revert back to its standard format after the Cheltenham run this week, with the regular TV lineup set to return on Monday, March 17

Loose Women star’s health struggles left her ‘crying in the depths of despair’

In the latest episode of Loose Women: The Podcast, one star revealed the emotional toll her health struggles have taken, especially when it comes to her children.

A Loose Women star opened up about her health struggles, revealing that they left her “in the depths of despair” as she admitted, “I was really crying.”

Frankie Bridge, chatting to Kaye Adams, opened up about ageing and anxiety on the third episode of Loose Women: The Podcast. During the episode, Frankie opened up on how she discusses her mental health struggles with her young children: “It’s a hard one because I feel like my answer should be that they know everything. I feel like I should have had the conversation with them, that I do suffer with depression and anxiety, but I think it’s a hard conversation to have with them because I don’t know how much of it they really understand

She continued: “I think the anxiety side they know about, because my youngest often talks to me about anxiety and that’s quite an open conversation that we have but depression, I feel like is harder to explain.” Frankie admitted: “Actually my youngest caught me not that long ago in the depths of despair, on a day I was having a particularly bad day and I was just really, really crying. He came in and I just completely panicked… And he said, ‘Mummy, are you okay? What’s wrong?’ and I just said, ‘Oh, I’ve got a really bad migraine’. He kind of accepted that and said, ‘Oh, I hope you feel better and kind of left’.

She continued: “I didn’t really realise how much that had sat with him until my birthday a couple of months ago. Wayne said to me, ‘Look, there’s a present that Carter wanted me to get for you’… “When I opened it, it was two boxes of ibuprofen and he said to Wayne, ‘Should we get her something that can help with migraines because she gets them really bad, doesn’t she?’ and then that’s why he’d got them. Actually, I just thought that was so sweet but then I thought, I’m really going to have to explain this to him. Otherwise, every time when he’s growing up, someone cries, he’s going to think they’ve got a migraine.”

Loose Women: Sue Cleaver on ‘living fearlessly’

Frankie recently slammed “double standards” as she bravely revealed she has been trolled for her parenting. The former Saturdays singer issued a lengthy message in response to fans who criticise her decisions when it comes to raising her two sons, Parker and Carter. She called out the comments after being branded “the worst wife and mother” as she shone a spotlight on the abuse she has been sent.

Frankie made it clear her husband Wayne Bridge has never received such hateful messages when he does solo work away from the family home. She revealed it came to a head when she took time for herself following her health battles and went away with her close friend for four days. The Loose Women star has been candid about finding a tumour in her neck, which was benign.

The mum-of-two wrote: “I’ve learned to be pretty thick skinned during my years in the public eye and I deal with these comments every day. But these comments aren’t just directed at someone in my position. A lot of women have a similar experience in many different ways.

“As I was growing up, I feel I was very naïve to the double standards set upon women, and never really felt they applied to me. I think that because I hadn’t experienced any sort of sexual harassment in the workplace, I felt I’d come out unscathed. When really all I needed to do was recognise the very obvious differences in expectations of a boy band and a girl band. The double standards were right there staring me in the face.”

Frankie explained how Wayne encouraged her to take a four-day holiday after “suffering with various illnesses that became harder to ignore, they took their toll and my mental health plummeted”. She revealed: “I and everyone else around me could see I needed a break and I reluctantly took the holiday, squeezed in at a time that would cause minimal damage to the boys’ schedule and mine.

“This meant fitting in as much as possible before I went away, still be contactable and hitting the ground running when I returned.” Frankie instantly felt guilty for leaving her family but finally relaxed and realised she deserved the break when she admitted Wayne was more than capable of solo parenting their boys.

However, she explained the “online warriors did not agree”. Frankie was hit by messages such as “who’s looking after the kids?” and “how does Wayne feel about you going away without him?”. She hit back: “I spoke to Wayne about it whilst I was away and asked him if anyone had said anything like this to him when he goes on holiday without me or the kids.

“And the simple answer was…no. He actually said, when he went to Ibiza and snowboarding, not one person made a negative comment or asked him how the kids and I felt about his holiday.” Wayne retired aged 35 and takes on most of the childcare, yet Frankie still faces differences in how it is received.
