Prince William makes surprise confession about sleeping arrangement with Kate Middleton

The Prince and Princess of Wales live at Adelaide Cottage near Windsor Castle – and on an outing last year Prince William revealed a surprising fact when it comes to bed time with wife Kate

The Prince and Princess of Wales fiercely guard time with their children at Adelaide Cottage – the home they see as their private sanctuary.

The couple live in the five-bedroom home on the Windsor estate with their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – as well as their beloved family dog, Orla, the cocker spaniel. They’ve called Adelaide Cottage home for almost three years now, with only a few snippets of what goes on behind closed doors. However, on one outing, William seemingly lifted the lid on what happens at bed time with him and Kate with them often joined by one of their family members – Orla, the dog.

William made the revelation as he petted a wellwisher’s dog during a visit to Duchy College in Cornwall last year. As he chatted to Louise Harland and stroked her dog Jacks, she says that the prince told her that Orla often sleeps on the bed alongside the royal couple.

Louise told Hits Radio Cornwall: “[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate. [He was] absolutely in love with my little dog. He asked what breed he was and he’s never met one of those breeds, he’s a Cockerjack, so he’s a little bit of a unique combination.”

Orla is not the family’s first pet. William and Kate’s previous dog Lupo – a wedding present from Kate’s brother James – died in November 2020.

In 2022 she featured in a beautiful photo with Princess Charlotte that was released to mark her seventh birthday in May and joined William and Kate at a polo match in 2023.

Meanwhile, it also seems the Wales family have other animals too. Last year, William visited Woodgate Valley Urban Farm, where he got to meet a range of animals – including some very cuddly guinea pigs. The prince got to pet them and was also allowed to brush the fur of one called Snowflake. And he told some of those he met at the farm: “These guys are pretty cool. We’ve got guinea pigs at home and they are not like this.

“I have to spend my life cleaning out the guinea pig cage because the children forget to do it. And then they run off because you have to handle them all the time, that’s why these ones are so calm. The ones we’ve got at home, they’re off. You have to keep them constantly stroked and looked after.

Billionaire Duke of Westminster shares huge family update with new wife

The Duke of Westminster, who married in a huge wedding last year that was attended by Prince William but Prince Harry agreed to stay away, has announced he and his wife are expecting their first child

The billionaire pal of Princes William and Harry has announced he and his wife are expecting their first child.

The Duke of Westminster, also known as Hugh Grosvenor, and his wife Olivia, now the Duchess of Westminster, are preparing to welcome their baby in the summer. The duke, one of the UK’s biggest landowners, is a close friend of both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, and godfather to Prince George and also reportedly to Prince Archie.

William acted as an usher at his wedding in Chester Cathedral last year but Harry mutually agreed with the groom he would not attend amid his long-running rift with his brother.

Hugh and Olivia married last year in a huge society wedding

A spokesman for the couple said: “The duchess is expecting a baby in the summer. The couple are delighted with the news and are very much looking forward to starting a family together

Hugh, once considered one of the country’s most eligible bachelors, became an instant billionaire when he inherited his title and control of the historic Grosvenor Estate aged 25, following the death of his father from a heart attack in 2016.

His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns hundreds of acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as major city centre developments such as Liverpool’s One shopping centre. In 2020, the duke donated £12.5 million to the UK’s Covid-19 relief effort including funds for NHS Charities Together and for medical research and development.

As it stands, the new baby will be affected by a centuries-old rule that also led to Hugh inheriting the immense Grosvenor fortune, estimated at £10bn. Peerages only pass down the male line (known as male primogeniture), which means that the peerage can only be inherited by a male relative.

Therefore, if the Duke and Duchess’s child is a girl, under the current laws, she will not be entitled to inherit the Westminster title, nor the family fortune and estate that goes with it. Instead, she would be styled as Lady, while an eldest son would be known as Earl Grosvenor until he inherits the dukedom.

The same rule also directly impacted Hugh, who has two older sisters, Lady Tamara and Lady Edwina Grosvenor. When their father, Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster, died in 2016, the family title went to Hugh, his third child and only son.

His marriage has reignited the debate over the archaic rule, with campaigners calling for a law change preventing younger sons inheriting over firstborn daughters.

The family has several enormous estates that include Eaton Hall in Cheshire and the Abbeystead Estate in Lancashire, as well as homes in Scotland and Spain. Hugh is Britain’s richest person aged under 40, according to The Sunday Times 2024 Rich List, with an estimated wealth of £10.127 billion, rising from £9.878 billion in 2023

King Charles shows off his fluent French to guests in charming royal meeting

King Charles discussed national and international topics of great concern as he welcomed officers from the Canadian parliament to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday

King Charles gave officers from the Canadian parliament “a warm exchange of greetings” – in French – on Wednesday.

The monarch, who is also Canada’s head of state, welcomed the ‘Canadian Usher of the Black Rod’, Greg Peters, and the Speaker of the Canadian senate, Raymonde Gagne, to Buckingham Palace.

They discussed national and international topics of great concern, it is understood, after Charles addressed them in both French and English. Charles, 76, has given multiple speeches in French over the years, and, in 2023, won over an audience of politicians in Berlin when he delivered much of his speech to the Bundestag in German.

English and French are the co-official languages of Canada and Charles’ charm appear to work as the audience, which has long been scheduled, saw the parties mull over a range of key topics for half an hour. Buckingham Palace said it was a “private audience” and gave no indication on what exactly was discussed.

But the meeting came after Donald Trump threatened historic financial devastation for Canada amid an escalating and erratic trade war, alongside repeated vows to make the country America’s 51st state.

Incoming Canadian prime minister Mark Carney has pledged to keep retaliatory tariffs in place until the US commits to free trade. Mr Trump had threatened to double his planned tariffs on steel and aluminium from 25% to 50% for Canada, but hours later halted the plan.

The King is said to have spent 30 minutes discussing topics of great concern to all parties, both nationally and internationally. He is said to have delivered a warm exchange of greetings in French and English.

The audience was held to present Mr Peters with a new ceremonial sword commissioned by the Senate in the King’s honour to mark the change of reign.

Charles is said to have shared his personal thanks for what was described as such a thoughtful gesture as he bestowed the sword on Mr Peters. The King is “very conscious” of his global responsibility and unique diplomatic role and is determined to put that to use, a royal source previously said.

Charles met outgoing Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the start of the month, a day after he received Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at Sandringham.

The monarch was hailed for offering a show of solidarity to Mr Zelensky by warmly welcoming him after the president’s dramatic Oval Office clash with Mr Trump.

The challenges Canada faces with its nearest neighbour were said to be high on the agenda, as was support for Ukraine, when the King met Mr Trudeau on March 3.

This Morning tackles Danny Jones kiss scandal with phone-in as viewers make same comment

This Morning fans have been quick to point out how today’s phone-in on the show related to Danny Jones’ kiss with Maura Higgins, with presenter Cat Deeley referring to the scandal

This Morning viewers have taken to social media to highlight how today’s phone-in was secretly a reference to Danny Jones and Maura Higgins’ recent kiss scandal.

Today’s show saw hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley invite viewers to call in to give their thoughts on whether a drunken kiss counts as cheating, with Cat noting that the topic had been “in the headlines” a lot recently.

“Now here’s a question for you – does a drunken kiss on a night out count as cheating on a partner?” Ben told the camera. Cat added: “Lots of headlines in the news about this right now but are you grappling with the issue in your own relationship? If you are, Dr. Linda is here to help.”

As for who should ring in, therapist Dr. Linda Papadopoulos said: “Today I want to hear from anyone who is on either side of this issue. Maybe you suspect your partner of cheating, maybe you found out that they’re cheating and you’re being pressured to leave them and you actually feel it’s something that you can work through.

“Maybe you have done the cheating and you want to come clean. Whatever the case is, I know this is a complex area but it’s one that’s underdiscussed so please give us a call and we’ll speak about it and hopefully get you some good advice on how to cope.”

Viewers were quick to point out how This Morning appeared to be referencing the scandal surrounding Danny Jones’ kiss with Maura Higgins, which was caught on camera at a BRITs afterparty earlier this month.

“Love how This Morning are talking about Danny Jones and Maura Higgins, without mentioning their names about that ‘drunken kiss’,” one viewer wrote. Another said: “I’m expecting Danny Jones to call in to this phone in @thismorning #ThisMorning.”

Danny, who is married to Georgia Horsley, made his first TV appearance last week following the scandal in a pre-recorded episode of The One Show. The McFly singer appeared alongside bandmate Tom Fletcher to announce one of the winners of the show’s 500 Words competition.

Meanwhile, a source recently told The Mirror that Danny needs to address his kiss with Maura after keeping his head down over the past few weeks. Another video had emerged of the pair enjoying a wild night of drinking at swanky Nobu Hotel in London until 6am.

Roman Kemp feeling ‘pressure’ from dad Martin as he admits he ‘doesn’t care anymore’

Roman Kemp has opened up about the pressure he feels to keep going and admitted there are times when he reaches breaking point and feels like he doesn’t care

Roman Kemp has opened up about feeling the “pressure” of a family trait, admitting there are times he feels like he doesn’t “care”.

On a recent instalment of their podcast, FFS! My dad Is Martin Kemp, Roman confessed to being “stressed” this week and often wanting to “turn everything off”. This led him to question his dad, Martin, about the idea of retiring, only to learn that Martin couldn’t imagine stopping.

The conversation took a turn when Roman pinpointed the source of the pressure: “You.” To which a surprised Martin responded, “From me? Why me? You’ve got a great work ethic. Is work ethic…is that another way of saying you work your b***s off?”. Roman clarified his view on what constitutes a good work ethic: “Good work ethic isn’t you working your b******s off. It’s about a balance between work and life split whilst maintaining drive.”

He then delved into his personal struggle: “Can you maintain drive and ambition alongside being true to yourself and understanding who you are? I struggle with that massively because I just…honestly, I just run myself into a moment where I’m like, ‘I don’t care anymore. I don’t care. Like, sack it all off’.

Roman opened up about the ‘pressure’ he feels

When Martin questioned why Roman didn’t just call in sick, Roman admitted he couldn’t bear the thought of letting everyone down, reports Gloucestershire Live.

The One Show’s very own has candidly shared his battle with depression, having admitted in the poignant documentary Our Silent Emergency that he once stood on the brink of suicide. Roman, now 32, opened up last year about a significant milestone: he had ceased taking antidepressants for the first time since he was a teenager at 15, and was embracing the journey to “understanding what [his] emotional side” really felt like

He delved into the nuances of his emotional shifts, noting that he was figuring out why he might “cry more” and “get a bit snappier at my friends”, while clarifying his stance: “I’m neither for or against taking anti-depressants, I’m about what is right for YOU and if it helps you then go for it.”

Metro reported on Roman’s reflections regarding how crucial medication had been in managing his mental health challenges. The former Capital Breakfast host disclosed that it supported him “through a long period of mental struggle”. In a message of solidarity and support, he mentioned that he was sharing this personal detail in hopes it might reassure others who are apprehensive about “anyone was ever worried about starting/stopping

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty left red-faced as she’s forced to apologise to co-star

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty was left red-faced as she was forced to apologise to her co-star after she was ‘called out’ on the show by her colleague Charlie Stayt

BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty found herself a tad embarrassed on Friday’s programme. The blunder occurred after a live update from Australia about the perilous winds and floods, which led to a weather handover with Sarah Dorothy Keith-Lucas.

Naga reassured viewers: “Thankfully, nothing quite as traumatic here.” But she was taken aback by the sunny backdrop featuring palm tree silhouettes behind Sarah, exclaiming: “Wow! What a contrast, Sarah.”

Curious if the image was from the previous day, given the less-than-stellar weather at their Salford studio, Naga was astonished when Sarah clarified: “It’s not this morning in Salford, but it is this morning. It looks like this in some parts of the country.”

Naga couldn’t hide her surprise, questioning: “Really?! We have palm trees here?!” Sarah confirmed that indeed we do, pinpointing Essex as the location of the photo. Post-forecast, Naga swiftly offered an apology, saying: ” I apologise if you heard some sniggering during your forecast. Someone (Charlie) was laughing at me for not knowing that we have numerous, thousands, of palm trees here in the UK. I didn’t know!”

Sarah responded: “Yeah there we go, you have to go and visit some palm tree places I think.”, reports the Express. Grateful, Naga thanked Sarah and vowed to visit spots across the UK with exotic-looking trees to broaden her horizons.

Charlie Stayt seized the opportunity for a cheeky jibe at Naga, quipping to the audience: “If you’ve seen a palm tree, send us a picture. Extraordinary, extraordinary thing.”

Naga played along, prompting viewers to share their photos and glanced at Charlie with a grin on her face, catching on to his light-hearted teasing.

She gave him a sharp look while Charlie chuckled to himself, promptly shifting gears to their upcoming segment. Yet Naga’s palm tree banter did catch the eyes of those tuning in from home

Comments from the public started popping up, with one viewer writing: “We have palm trees in the garden naga [sic]”.

Someone else tweeted a scenic photo as proof, captioning it: “Palm trees in the north west Scotland village of Plockton taken on 19 January in 9 degree sunshine.”

Giséle Pelicot’s daughter feared mum had Alzheimer’s before discovering horrifying truth

Giséle Pelicot bravely waived her right to anonymity after being drugged by her own husband and raped 92 times by strangers he invited into their bedroom between 2011 and 2020

Giséle Pelicot’s daughter has revealed she thought her mum had Alzheimer’s before discovering the heartbreaking truth about the 72-year-old.

Mum-of-three, Giséle, bravely waived her right to anonymity after being drugged by her own husband and raped 92 times by strangers he invited into their bedroom between 2011 and 2020 in France.

Her daughter, Caroline Darian, 45, who has accused her father of raping and abusing her too – which he has denied – has written a book about the tragedy and spoke about her confusion surrounding her mum when her father, Dominique, first started drugging his wife.

Talking to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley in a candid TV interview – in which she discussed trying to find the right words to tell her son his grandad is a monster – she said: “My two brothers and me, we were really afraid because we knew that there was something wrong with my mum. Sometimes we had my mum on the phone… She had incoherent behaviour over the phone, she talked in a different way… She didn’t seem in her right mind.”

Giséle Pelicot's daughter on This Morning
Giséle Pelicot’s daughter, Caroline Darian, has written a book after the unimaginable tragedy her family have faced

Revealing she thought Giséle had Alzheimer’s, Caroline, who also gave a damning statement on her relationship with her mum, continued: “We thought about brain cancer, we thought about Alzheimer’s, we thought that maybe she was starting [to have] dementia… She was here without being here.” In a truly horrifying case, which sent shockwaves around the world, Giséle was unknowingly sedated and sexually abused dozens of times at her family home in Mazan, a commune in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, France.

Her husband, 71, was sent to jail for 20 years last month following a landmark trial in France. He had kept evidence of the abhorrent acts, storing 3,800 photos and videos of his wife being sexually abused on a USB drive, called ‘abuses’. Chillingly, there were also images of his daughter, Caroline, which were saved as ‘around my daughter, naked’. As well as being sentenced for drugging and raping his wife, Pelicot was also found guilty of taking indecent images of his daughter and his daughters-in-law, Aurore and Celine.

Caroline shared her reaction to the revelation of her father’s crimes on This Morning, saying: “I was devastated… I realised that I didn’t know my beloved father.”

Saying she never suspected her parent before his arrest, she continued: “Believe me, I was so close to my father, I was the only girl daughter of this family… I trusted him 100 per cent. I never saw him staring at a woman, never ever.” She added: “So, when we discovered that as children, all our worlds collapsed, all our foundations fell down.”

Speaking about the images of herself, which were shown to her by police, she said: “I was in a state of a shock…You have to realise the reality of what you are seeing but it’s too much, it’s too violent, it’s crazy.”

Addressing the current allegations in which Caroline has accused her father of drugging and raping her too, she said: “I knew right from the beginning but you know in France, this is the public prosecutor’s officers who lead the complaint and right from the start they decided to focus in on my mother because all the evidence [was] on the table.

She continued: “I know that he drugged me and probably did a lot more. So, I decided during this trial, because I understood I was an invisible victim and I’m the daughter, so I need to get the truth.

Stephen Fry lets slip major hint that he’s competing on Celebrity Traitors

Actor and comedian Stephen Fry was quizzed on This Morning about whether he will be appearing on the Celebrity version of The Traitors which is due to start filming next month

The only thing more gripping than an episode of The Traitors is the guessing game about which well known stars could be signing up for the celebrity version, and Stephen Fry is top of the list.

The 67 year old actor, presenter and comedian, who was knighted in the New Year’s Honours List this year, appeared on This Morning today to talk about his new series of Jeopardy, but was quizzed by hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about whether he will be appearing on Celebrity Traitors. Ben asked Stephen if he would be on The Traitors, and Stephen appeared to not know much about the series, teasing: “It’s a BBC show, isn’t it? It’s an interesting show. Do you think they’re going to do a celebrity version?”

While he neither confirmed or denied whether he would be appearing on the celebrity edition, he did hint that if he was asked, he would be an expert contestant as he successfully dodged Ben’s questions. When Ben asked: “Would you be interested in doing a show like that,” Stephen replied by saying: “Let me see how good I am at lying,” and smiled at the camera.

    Stephen Fry
Stephen was on This Morning to talk about the new series of Jeopardy
After further questioning as to whether he would be better as a Traitor or a Faithful on the show, Stephen said: “I think of myself as a faithful person, but if one says they’re honest, one is dishonest. We all tell white lies and when I was a teenager, I was a fantasist. I said my father was an airline pilot for one group of people, he was a spy for others, that sort of typical thing teenagers do.”

“He’s evading the question, isn’t he?” Ben noted, and Stephen pointed out that “If I were asked, I would be kicked out if I spoke about it!”

Stephen isn’t the only celebrity who has been tipped to appear on Celebrity Traitors, which is due to film at Ardross Castle in April. England rugby star Joe Marler, presenter Clare Balding, singer Paloma Faith and Olympic diver Tom Daley have all been tipped for the show. However, the BBC are remaining tight-lipped, telling The Mirror: “The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun

Host Claudia Winkleman will return for the first season of the new show, and has remained tight-lipped about which celebs will be joining her. Speaking to Radio Times, she hinted that all things were possible – including having a showbiz pal sign up. “I haven’t vetoed anyone, but I think it would be hard if a great friend did it,” she said.

She was also very cagey about whether the series had started filming, simply saying: “The weather has been pretty tricky lately don’t you think? Lots of rain the other day.

Kathy Burke with brutal reason she turned down EastEnders role that will anger soap fans

Comic actress Kathy Burke has opened up on her previous offer to appear on long-running BBC soap opera EastEnders, and made a brutal confession as to why she rejected it

Kathy Burke has revealed the reason she rejected a role in BBC soap EastEnders.

The 60-year-old comedienne – who is pals with Billy Mitchell actor Perry Fenwick – has admitted she “can’t stand” the long-running soap, so didn’t want to play any part in it.

Speaking on the Where There’s A Will, There’s A Wake podcast, Kathy explained she once had a conversation about making an appearance on the Walford cobbles. She said: “I was asked to do ‘EastEnders’ and no, no, no, I f****** hate ‘EastEnders’. I can’t stand it.”

She went on to double down her thoughts, insisting: “In fact, if I’m flicking my television, even if I hear the theme – I have a real ‘EEUURGHH’ reaction to it.”

Despite her attitude towards the show, the comedy actress still admires the show’s cast and crew for their work. The London-born star added: “Sorry to everybody involved. I know everyone’s got a job to do – I admire you all greatly, but nah!”

Actor pal Perry previously appeared on Kathy’s podcast in 2023. At the time, the 62-year-old actor revealed that he “spent a lot of time in hospital” as a child after a series of near-death experiences. He told his friend: “From the age of none to ten, I think I spent quite a lot of that time in hospital.

“I electrocuted myself when I was three. I was playing with a bowl of soapy water on the rug, and I thought how interesting it would be to put those three fingers of mine in the water and put them in that plug hole in the wall.

“At which point, my mum is watching television and was aware of this ‘thing’ going right across to the other side of the room. I fell off a bridge. We used to have an iron bridge near where I lived, and you used to have to do this dare where you walked over the arch of this bridge.

“I had a wobble, fell off of it, and it was about twenty-five to thirty feet.

“There was a little stream running underneath it with these mud banks next to it and luckily for me, someone had got into DIY early by removing some of the railway sleepers, otherwise as this was in the ’60s, if I would have hit one of them, that would have been it.”

EastEnders viewers were left in stitches last night after spotting two major photoshop blunders on the BBC One soap – involving the late Martin Fowler as well as Teddy Mitchell

EastEnders fans have taken to social media to point out two big photoshop blunders that have left viewers in stitches.

Last night’s episode saw Barney Mitchell drop a major bombshell on his dad Teddy, revealing that girlfriend Sharon had secretly slept with her ex-husband Grant. However, fans were distracted by a framed photograph of Teddy and Barney, where the pair are wearing the exact same clothes as they were in the scene

“Awwwww what a beautiful framed family photo from the past (taken & priunted out about 30 minutes before this scene was filmed in the very same costumes! #EastEnders,” one viewer wrote alongside the photograph, with a laughing emoji and skull emoji.

Another viewer wrote: “That is some INCREDIBLE attention to detail. Bravo,” while a third commented several crying laughing emojis.

That wasn’t the only oversight that featured in last night’s episode, with fans also creasing up after spotting a clearly photo-shopped photograph of Martin Fowler at the Champions League final.

In the scene, Billy Mitchell, Howie Danes and Harvey Monroe are reminiscing about their late pal Martin – who died from wounds sustained in the Queen Vic collapse during the live episode. The trio are looking over old photos of Martin when the camera zooms in on one particular snap.

“Yeah, Martin was DEFINITELY at the Champions League Final when that photo was taken #EastEnders,” one viewer sarcastically wrote. Meanwhile, another pointed out that the character would have been in the midst of harrowing drama in Albert Square at the time of the final.

“Just went on YouTube. He looks quite happy in the pic considering Bex slept rough a couple of nights before and he had a big bust up with Kush the day before,” a viewer said, while another highlighted: “Howie also talking like he was there; it happened in 2019!

A fourth had some suggestions, adding: “They could have at least made the effort to photoshop a spurs shirt on him or something I mean come on @bbceastenders,” with a crying laughing face.

Earlier this week, EastEnders confirmed that there’s a major murder twist set to hit the BBC soap, with Nicola Mitchell caught up in the disappearance of Harry’s ex Shireen.
