Denise Welch reveals concerning health alert which sparked major transformation

EXCLUSIVE: Denise Welch has opened up about transforming her life and losing two stone following a concern which was flagged by a doctor after the actress suffered a fall

Denise Welch has revealed the moment she decided to undergo a dramatic overhaul of her life. The Loose Women broadcaster and actress has spoken openly about her life and how she had previously battled with alcohol. Speaking candidly, she revealed that going sober 13 years ago was the “best decision” she and her husband, Lincoln Townley, had ever made.

But after ditching alcohol, which she says was a “momentous point” in their lives, she later realised that she realised she may be swapping alcohol for food addiction due to an “addictive personality”. Denise revealed to the Mirror: “I very quickly realised that I was in danger of swapping alcohol addiction for food addiction.”

The Waterloo Road star went don’t to say that “all of the bad things” in her life had kept her slim without her trying – including alcohol and depression. “That stops me from eating when I’m having an episode, suddenly, the alcohol and the bad things were taken out of my life, I realised I was starting to replace alcohol with food,” she said.

Denise, 66, went on to explain that she found herself “bingeing” and eating “way past” her full point, but it was never enough. She revealed she had started secretly eating, heading to the kitchen for food, and hiding chocolate. But she later realised that she didn’t need to hide it from her family, as her husband, Lincoln and youngest, Hotel Portofino star son, Louis, didn’t care.

“Nobody cared – so why am I doing everything so secretly? Guiltily, like I used to drink,” she said. After Lincoln proposed to Denise, she realised she had put on two stones in “not a very long time”. She explained that while she realised some people often look to lose a significant amount of weight, the two stone to her was a great deal.

Explaining, she said: “It wasn’t just how aesthetically it made me look, because I carry a lot of my weight on my face, so it becomes very noticeable. I’m on television several times a week – and that’s not a very flattering medium, so I was aware of it there but it was also the fact I’ve never been super fit but I was aware it was impairing my breathing.”

But the realisation hit Denise while she was appearing in a theatre production in Kingston with Keith Allen. Recalling the moment, she said: “I tripped and fell on Kingston Bridge. I went to see this knee doctor and he said, ‘You’ve got osteoarthritis and you need to lose weight’. I thought ‘my God, I didn’t think I had that much of a problem’, the breathing and stuff was due to a sleep apnea problem that wasn’t caused by, but isn’t helped by, weight gain.”

Denise explained that after discussing her plans to lose weight for her wedding, she was “inundated” by diet firms to front their campaigns. But it was a decision she made with Lincoln, who was also keen on losing weight. They decided on LighterLife as it was the only weight loss company which spoke about changing the relationship with food.

The company, for which Denise is an ambassador, uses mental approaches, such as CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), group therapy or mentorship, and physical approaches. At first, she admits being wary about going to the group therapy as she didn’t want “all eyes” to be her but it was Lincoln who encouraged her to go along.

“I’m ever so grateful that I did, that first meeting changed my life,” she exclaimed. Although she says she would have lost weight in other ways, she admits she may have “piled it back on”, due to being a human whose weight fluctuates throughout life. “I always know that I’ve got the tools, the CBT tools to get me back on board,” she said, explaining that there are four processes that she can put in place.

After losing the two stone, Denise used her CBT skills to pack smoking in, something she took up when she was 16. She explained: “By applying the same CBT techniques to cigarettes, and that helped me, come off those as well. So they are treasured tools.” Denise has been a LighterLife ambassador for 13 years and still checks in with her doctor, Dr Kelly. “I have seen LighterLife and the mentors not only change people’s lives, but people’s lives,” she explained before adding: “I am a fervent believer that this works.”

Although Denise admits she has no medical experience, she believes that LighterLife does work, having seen firsthand how thousands of people have benefited from it. She often carries some of the LighterLife food around with her due to her hectic work schedule, with her favourite being the porridge and salted caramel chocolate bars. “I would say to give it a try and the help of working with these trained mentors who are there for you is life changing, it’s an incredible, supportive community,” she explained.

Each food pack is filled with “every mineral and every vitamin” that you may need. Over Christmas, Denise experienced a spell of poor mental and physical health, which impaired her appetite. “What I did was, I was using the LighterLife products to feel better, to know I was getting everything I needed,” she said before explaining that while it maintains her weight, she can often engage in a “total programme”.

“I live an actor’s life, we live a sort of sandwich lifestyle, we’re up and down, grabbing this and grabbing that,” acknowledging that she may not always get her five a day or vital minerals and vitamins. She added: “So at least I know that if I’m having the late night products, then, and I’m some way towards achieving that.”

Meanwhile, Denise’s doctor, Dr Kelly, shed light on the rising topic of diets on social media. She said: “The problem with social media weight loss trends is that often they’re not nutritionally complete, not effective nor sustainable, and often they can be downright dangerous.

Loose Women star shares health update after being hospitalised

Former Loose Women star Andrea McLean has taken to social media to share an update with her followers about her health.

Former Loose Women panellist Andrea McLean has candidly opened up about her health struggles following a serious bout of pneumonia earlier this year.

Taking to Instagram, the 55-year-old revealed she’s been on a wellness retreat in Turkey in an attempt to boost her recovery, but confessed she still feels “slow”.

In a personal video message to her followers, Andrea admitted that the start of the year was rough for her, saying it “really set her back quite a bit”.

She detailed: “For those of you who don’t know, it was basically I was hospitalised with pneumonia and kidney issues and all kinds of stuff. I’ve been really wanting to get back into wellness and fitness, but it has been a crawl rather than a walk or a run.”

In a post shared by Andrea on Instagram, she captioned the video: “My journey back to wellness is proving to be slow and bumpy. So when I was invited to come along to a Wellness week in Turkey, to train alongside incredible Olympic athletes and world class dancers, I said it sounds amazing…. BUT please know I can’t keep up. I am slow now. I may fall down. I was nervous”.

“And it’s been wonderful. I have gone at my own pace. I’ve accepted that right now I can’t do what I used to. And yes, I had to lay down for the rest of the day because I had too much fun doing a dance class and forgot to take it easy.

“But it was all ok. No pressure. No worries. I have done the morning walk – not the run. I have done stretching and yoga. I’ve had a massage. And I have met some of the most wonderful people.”

The former ITV star revealed in March that she had been diagnosed with severe pneumonia, acute kidney injury, and sepsis following a series of tests, reports the Express.

She shared her harrowing experience of collapsing in her home and lying in the bathroom for an hour before being discovered by her husband.

Andrea recalled the incident, saying: “I got up to go to the bathroom and just fell to the floor. By the time the paramedics arrived, they said my blood pressure was so low they had to stabilise me before moving me.”

Due to the tight bend in their loft bedroom, the paramedics struggled to maneuver the stretcher. She eventually managed to slide down the stairs and was rushed to the hospital.

The events that unfolded over the next few weeks had a profound impact on her life.

She emphasized: “There are rarely second chances in this life, so as I began to regain my strength I knew I had to seize the day and focus on what I really want to do. I very nearly died.”

Kate Middleton shows true colours with subtle gesture at crucial moment at VE Day concert

The Princess of Wales dazzled as she attended a special concert to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day with Prince William, the King and Queen, and one expert spotted the princess make a telling gesture at one of the event’s most crucial moments

The Princess of Wales made a subtle gesture in a blink-and-you-will-miss-it moment at a special VE Day concert on Thursday – and it spoke volumes, according to an expert. Kate joined husband Prince William as well as the King and Queen for the historic event on Horse Guards Parade, which brought a close to the commemorations marking 80 years since the end of the Second World War.

She wore her hair half up, half down, pinned back with a large, black velvet bow and was dressed in a white boucle jacket and Self Portrait dress. Kate, who accessorised with a five-strand pearl necklace, and the rest of the crowd were treated to performances by Freya Ridings, Fleur East, Strictly dancers Amy Dowden, Carlos Gu and Kai Widdrington and actor Brian Cox.

However, the most important part of the concert came when the King delivered an address at 9pm – the exact time King George VI spoke to the nation in a radio broadcast on May 8 1945, to mark the end of the Second World War in Europe.

He called for a global commitment to restoring peace as he paid tribute to the service and sacrifice of the wartime generation. And in a lighter moment, the King joked to the concert-goers that he did not have the energy to “lead you all in a giant conga from here back to Buckingham Palace” as he read an extract from his late mother Queen Elizabeth II’s personal diary.

And according to body language expert Judi James, it was Kate’s reaction at his moment that gave a telling insight into Kate’s royal relationships. She told the Mirror : “Her ‘moment’ came as she watched Charles making his speech.

“When he came to the quotes from the late Queen, Kate’s smile became one of warm reflection, hinting at the warm relationship she had with the late Queen and also at an empathetic relationship of warmth that she might have with Charles himself, whom she was watching. Her cheeks became rounded, and her hands were clasped in front of her torso in a look of warmth as well as some sadness.”

During last night’s appearance at the concert, Kate was also seen exchanging several tender moments with husband William, who put a protective arm on her back. It comes as the Firm has put on a united front for all of the VE Day commemorations in the wake of Prince Harry giving yet another bombshell interview that would have left royal eyes rolling behind palace doors.

After losing a Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements while in the UK, Harry gave an emotional interview to the BBC, where he claimed his father the King doesn’t speak to him and said he could not see a world where he would bring his children to visit the UK and declared he felt he had been “stitched up”.

But it seems there was no hint of Harry being on royal minds last night, as Judi added that William and Kate looked very much like the power couple as they delivered a confident and charming display. She explained: “William walked with an elegant puffing of the chest to accommodate the line of medals while Kate adopted a more youthful look to her upswept, immaculate hair and styling during the daytime service.

“With her hair hanging in loose curls topped with a Gen Z-style large floppy bow that was also a nod to the ‘Pollyanna’ fashion trend of Victoriana soon after the War, Kate teamed a Chanel-style jacket with a full, flowing white lace skirt, ticking another very current box in terms of teaming tweeds with layers of lace and pearls.

“The ‘Disney Prince’ look was totally complimentary with Kate’s girlish froth and curls, and William adopted a rather serious, alpha facial expression on arrival to complement his wife’s more romantic styling and smiles.

“His brows pulled into a sadder-looking, concerned frown, and, until Kate made him share a smile, he appeared to be taking quiet moments of more serious reflection.

  • Prince Harry’s ‘shock over going too far’ with King bombshell as he ‘faces consequences’

Prince Harry’s ‘shock over going too far’ with King bombshell as he ‘faces consequences’

It has been more than a week since Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with the BBC and royal expert Jennie Bond believes he may now have a shock realisation over his claims

Prince Harry might realise he went “too far” when discussing his father, the King’s, health in a bombshell interview, according to an expert.

It’s been a week since the Duke of Sussex lost a Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements while in the UK and then gave an emotional interview, which would have left royal eyes rolling behind palace doors. In it, he claimed his father the King doesn’t speak to him, said he could not see a world where he would bring his children to visit the UK and declared he felt he had been “stitched up”.

In one part of the chat with the BBC, which is particularly said to have raised eyebrows, is when he touched on the health of his father, who is still being treated for cancer. He said: “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has, he, he won’t speak to me because of this security stuff, but it would be nice to reconcile.”

Prince Harry in his BBC interview on May 2

But with emotions still seemingly running high amid Harry’s rift with his royal relatives, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond believes Harry may now realise the consequences of what he said.

She told the Mirror: “I suspect that Harry said more than he had perhaps intended because he was consumed with anger that the court decision had gone against him. When the court ruling didn’t go his way, he was, in his own words ‘gutted and devastated’. And he was clearly seething with fury. And that is rarely the best time to air your thoughts.

“I think he might now realise that he went too far in talking about his father’s health. That was a clear invasion of the privacy that Harry himself so covets. And he might also realise that he has, in my opinion, now lost the support of the vast majority of the British public.”

Harry has been pursuing a case through the UK courts after his level of security changed in 2020, when he and Meghan stepped down as working royals and moved to California to carve out a new life for themselves.

He failed in his appeal against the dismissal of his High Court claim against the Home Office, over the decision of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) that he should receive a different degree of protection when in the UK.

And Jennie says she has a degree of sympathy for him as he’s left reeling following his court defeat. She added: “I do understand Harry‘s feeling that he has been singled out for special treatment. I get that it seems illogical that others, former Prime Ministers, for example, who have left public office, still get police protection.

“But, as the Palace has stated, the decision by the Ravec committee has been tested in court several times, and it has come up with the same conclusion on each occasion.

“Moreover, other members of his family – apart from the King, Queen and William and his family – do not get the level of protection that Harry appears to be demanding. And it’s not as if he has been told there will be no protection. It’s just that it will be assessed case by case.”

In the wake of the controversial interview, VE Day commemorations carried on in earnest for the rest of the Royal Family this week. To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, the royals took part in a series of engagements, including a huge Buckingham Palace balcony appearance and a moving service at Westminster Abbey.

Jennie said: “Despite their disappointment – and anger – over Harry’s interview, the Royal Family did what they do best at the VE Day commemorations. They carried on regardless, with grace and dignity, rising above the furore over the rift.

“We saw a family which, without Harry, is very much in harmony, working together and with the three children beginning to learn the ropes of royal duties. Therein lies the continuity of monarchy, with or without the errant brother.”

Coronation Street star adds fuel to the fire as ITV soap hit with favouritism row

Coronation Street star Sair Khan has been at the centre of a ‘favouritism’ row as some of her co-stars are said to be unhappy over the fact she is allowed to take up other opportunities

Corrie’s Sair Khan has found herself in the midst of a ‘favouritism’ storm as some of her fellow actors on the ITV soap simmer with displeasure over her ability to snag extra gigs.

The cobbles are alive with whispers of discontent as certain stars, including Sair, 37, and colleague Samia Longchambon, 42, are apparently getting the green light for profitable brand promotions while others face a strict no-go from bosses.

Adding fuel to the fire, Sair flaunted yet another partnership on Instagram this week, causing quite the stir among the cast with her post: “Lets give these a go! @purebornfamily. @mumandme_app #gifted.”

Notably, she was also allowed to endorse a swanky £2,500 Italian Bertazzoni oven online.

Meanwhile, Samia is basking in the limelight too, featuring in Marks and Spencer content with hubby and former ice-skating pro Sylvain Longchambon, reports the Daily Star.

Despite ITV’s rulebook often stamping out any commercial activities by their soap personnel without top brass giving the nod, the visible endorsement deals by the two actresses have ruffled feathers backstage.

A fellow actress spilled the beans to The Sun, voicing her frustration: “It’s one rule for the polished PR favourites, and another for the rest of us. If you’re not part of the golden circle, forget it.”

She blasted: “They wouldn’t let most of us even do a teeth-whitening collaboration, meanwhile Samia’s out there posing with pastries. It’s a total p*** take.

“We’ve been told time and time again: no ads, no endorsements – not so much as a candle on Instagram. But then Samia pops up in a full-blown promo for MandS and everyone’s just supposed to pretend it’s normal?”.

    Samia Longchambon

“People are keeping quiet as they don’t want to rock the boat or get the boot but there’s a lot of anger. Why are some allowed to cash in while the rest of us struggle?”.

Both soap stars have had long-standing roles on the ITV show, with Samia gracing our screens as Maria Connor intermittently since 2000, and Sair portraying Alya Nazir since 2014.

According to internal policy, all outside gigs must receive prior sign-off and must align with ITV’s commercial obligations and protect character integrity.

The behind-the-scenes friction comes at a challenging time for the long-running soap, which is said to be currently navigating significant financial constraints. As reported previously, producers are thought to be scaling back filming days, shifting actors to a part-time status, and even stretching scripts in an effort to control costs and boost profitability.

BBC Radio One’s Big Weekend event plummeted into chaos after the phone line competition application system completely crashed. Fans rushed to call the number in order to win tickets for the Big Weekend event but found phone lines had gone down, leaving them devastated.

Explaining the technical issues, Nat O’Leary told fans: “We are experiencing technical difficulties with our phone lines at the moment unfortunately so we cannot run the competition at the moment.” In addition, Ore Olukoga added: “We can’t but we will let you know as soon as we have the phone lines up and running again and we’ll get the competition on very soon.” Later in the show, the phone lines were back up-and-running again.

    Tom Grennan
Tom Grennan is one of the stars who’ll be performing

On the Radio One Big Weekend website, it instructed fans to call the competition phone line 03700 100 100 during a ten minute registration window.

Radio One phone handlers were set the task to receive calls from hopefuls and conduct “eligibility checks” which included asking entrants “how much do you want to win this prize?”

On the back of their answer, the handlers will then score the entrants’ answers based on their “passion for the prize.”

Following the initial elimination process, those with the highest scores will then appear on air to play the game “name the artist” music quiz.

And this involved fans identifying the music artist in a short clip with only five seconds to answer.

If then lucky entrant failed to answer within the allocated time, or answered incorrectly, they failed to win tickets to the coveted event.

The celebrity artists that are due to take part in the annual event include rapper Aitch, AJ Tracey, Inhaler, Wolf Alice, who will perform on May 24.

Back in January, BRIT award winner Sam Fender was announced as the headliner on the main stage, along with Myles Smith and Blossoms.

The annual music event will take place at Liverpool’s Sefton Park over two days between May 23 and May 25.

Other artists performing on Friday 23rd include Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro, Nia Archives, Confidence Man, Barry Can’t Swim.

Myles Smith described performing at the annual event as “unreal”. He added: “Big Weekend was always a dream of mine, and to be on the line-up again is insane.”

Messy singer Lola Young, who has achieved global recognition, is also set to perform at the annual weekender and described that it was going to be a “messy” affair, which is a nod to her hit song.

Reality TV star Katie Price has sparked fresh alarm among her fans who feared for the life of an animal in her care. The 46-year-old mother-of-five has an unwanted track record of animals dying in unfortunate circumstances.

Eight of the star’s animals have died in recent years – and there has even been a petition calling for her to be slapped with a ban from owning pets, which has attracted over 37,000 signatures. Some fans have been keeping a close eye on the star when it comes to her livestock – and were shocked to see her putting her dog in a potentially dangerous situation.

Taking to Snapchat, Katie shared a video of a dog leaning out the window of a moving car. She captioned the video clip to write: “Anyone else have a pet like this?”

But her simple post attracted a wall of anger from followers who expressed concern for the pooch. Among complainers is the animal charity People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) – who slammed the star for sharing her video on social media.

Katie Price with one of her dead dogs
Katie has a terrible record of pets dying in her care(Image: @katieprice/Instagram)

A spokesperson told The Sun: “While it’s wonderful for dogs to enjoy the great outdoors and lovely when guardians include them on suitable outings, it can be damned dangerous to have the car window lowered enough for them to jump or fall out.”

Highlighting the risks to the dog, the spokesperson said: “A sudden stop, sharp turn, or tempting distraction can quickly turn a fun trip into a tragedy.”

The latest intervention from Peta comes after they previously offered to pay her thousands of pounds to stop buying pets. Offering the glamour model £5,000, they said in a past statement: “things have gone horribly wrong with many of the animals under her supervision.”

In June 2023, Katie’s German Shepherd Blade was struck on the busy A24, close to her home in East Sussex. Sharing her grief at the time, she wrote in an online post: “Words can’t express the lost of my best friend my protector my absolutely everything who had sadly passed away today. I have no words to say how I’m feeling but numb and shocked rip Blade.”

Six months earlier, her pet Pomeranian Sharon was killed, reportedly in a horror crash on the same road. And the year before that, Katie’s Alsatian Queenie, a present from her ex Kieran Hayler, was allegedly hit by a pizza delivery driver.

She wrote on social media at the time: “I’m absolutely devastated… she was killed by a heartless delivery driver who ran into our dog seeing her struggle and drove off without telling and left her to die.”

Another Alsatian belonging to the star was killed on the A24 in 2020 – but it’s not just dogs that have died in tragic circumstances. A horse was also killed on the busy road in 2017 when it escaped from a field.

In July 2020, French bulldog Rolo died after getting stuck under an electric armchair. The pet had been a present for Katie’s daughter, Princess Andrei’s 13th birthday and the mum called what happened a ‘freak accident’.

The glamour model attempted to revive the pet before rushing him to the vet, where she learned it was sadly too late. “There was nothing they could do, but they did say he wouldn’t have died in pain, it was quick,” she explained on YouTube at the time.

Maura Higgins plans to make her red carpet return at the 2025 TV BAFTAs this weekend – two months after she rocked a marriage at the last glitzy show she attended. The 34-year-old Love Island star caused headlines in March when she was caught locking lips with married McFly star Danny Jones, 39 at the 2025 BRIT Awards.

The reality star and McFly singer endured damning headlines – while Danny’s beauty queen wife Georgia Horsley, 38, was said to be “humiliated” by the extramarital kiss. The Star Girl singer has been keeping himself out of the spotlight in the weeks since the scandal rocked his marriage.

But now it has been reported that Maura is confident and ready to return to the spotlight – and that enough time has passed since the kiss scandal erupted. The 2025 TV BAFTAs have been outlined as the best opportunity for Maura to make her spotlight return.

While Maura is best known for appearing on Love Island, she expanded her time in the reality show circuit in 2024 as a contestant on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!. The 2024 season also featured Danny – who won the show.

The long-running ITV show has frequently been nominated for TV BAFTAs – but is not in the list of nominees for the 2025 ceremony. Meanwhile, show hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are nominated for the Best Entertainment Performance gong for hosting their now cancelled show, Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

Explaining why Maura is honing in on the BAFTAs for her red carpet return, a source told The Sun on Sunday: “She thinks enough time has passed. She can’t hide forever.

“She’s going to spend all morning before the bash getting glammed up and strut down the red carpet with her head held high.”

The source went on to explain that the Irish TV personality will refuse to answer any questions about the kiss at the awards and that she has “put the whole incident behind her and feels she has nothing to be ashamed of.”

Danny, meanwhile, is expected to skip the awards despite winning I’m A Celeb – and being a star of ITV’s singing contest The Voice where he serves as one of the coaches alongside McFly co-star Tom Fletcher.

The source claimed: “He wouldn’t do anything to make wife Georgia doubt him and doesn’t want to set a foot a wrong.” The Mirror has contacted representatives of Danny and Maura for comment.

Danny and Georgia have been married since 2018 and they share a six-year-old son named Cooper. Danny issued a gravelling apology after his kiss was exposed.

He wrote in an online post: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.”

He added: “I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted dancing at Beyonce’s tour in LA last night, with the pair putting on a united front amid claims that they’re living separate lives

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have hit back at rumours that they’re living separate lives by attending Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour together. The pair were seen cuddling up to one another in a photo shared by the singer’s official tour website.

While in a separate video, the pair were seen watching Beyoncé perform – with Prince Harry bopping along to the music while Meghan belted out hit Texas Hold’Em. The royals dressed up for the theme as Harry wore a dark green hat along with dark jeans and a grey jacket. Meanwhile Meghan wore an off the shoulder denim dress.

The mum-of-two looked as stunning as ever as she wore her hair up but was seen wearing her husband’s hat through the night. Meghan and Harry are clearly fans of Beyoncé as this isn’t the first time they have gone to the star’s shows.

Back in 2023, the pair went to the Renaissance World Tour also at the SoFi Stadium. They had gone to the show to celebrate the 67th birthday of Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland.

However, the couple aren’t just fans of the singer, they’re also good friends with her too. Beyoncé praised Meghan after the Sussexes’ bombshell interview with Oprah where Meghan claimed to have been subjected to racist treatment in the Royal Family.

Beyoncé posted on her website at the time: “Thank you Meghan for your courage and leadership. We are all strengthened and inspired by you.” In one episode of their Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan, Meghan said she had received a supportive text from her friend.

She told the camera crew: “Beyoncé just texted, just checking in… I still can’t believe she knows who I am… she wants me to feel safe and protected. She admires and respects my bravery and vulnerability and thinks I was selected to break generational curses that need to be healed.”

Harry and Meghan’s night out together comes after it was rumoured that they were living “separate lives”. Harry travelled to Ukraine last month while Meghan went to a Broadway show.

Heat reported that a source said: “Harry’s been riding tanks in Ukraine, doing his own thing, and looking to branch out – socially, professionally, everything. Of course, they downplay it all and say they’re just working in separate lanes, toward the same goals.

“But people are noticing – he’s away a lot more than anyone realised and it’s raising a lot of eyebrows.” However, it seems they have proved this theory wrong as they partied the night away together.

Lisa Armstrong has splashed out on another house – as she builds an impressive property portfolio in the wake of her divorce from Ant McPartlin.

The make-up artist, who was said to have been awarded £31million in a settlement from the TV star, snapped up a four-bed house near Oxford last year for more than £700,000.

She already has the former family home, a £2.3million five-bedroom west London mansion, which she kept as part of the divorce. Lisa then bought a £3.8million house in west London in 2020, two years following her split from Ant after 11 years of marriage.

She is expected to undertake extensive renovations of her latest purchase. It is not known if she is set to live there but she grew up in Oxford and knows the area well.

Lisa is fast becoming a savvy property developer. She completely renovated her 2020 house purchase installing a pool, a gym, outhouse and gazebo.

However she has less luck with the former marital home after it suffered a fire in September 2023, causing £1million worth of damage. Lisa had been renting the property to a family of six, it was reported at the time.

The Mirror told last year how she was looking to move on after a “topsyturvy few years to say the least.” “She is very much focused on the future and is in a really good place after what was a difficult period,” our source said.

Lisa and Ant announced they were to divorce in January 2018, two months before he crashed into two other cars while more than twice the drink-drive limit.

He later admitted drink-driving and was fined £86,000 and given a 20-month ban.

He went into rehab after the crash and took a 10-month break from TV presenting. The presenter went on to marry his former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett, in 2021 and the pair welcomed their first child together, son Wilder Patrick McPartlin in May.

Lisa then went on to date Sky electrician James Green in 2020 but their split came ‘out of the blue’ in August 2023.

Speaking at the time a friend said that the end of their three-year relationship had been amicable and that the former couple would remain friends.
