Former Love Island favourite Olivia Attwood has hit back at rumours suggesting there’s trouble brewing on the Loose Women panel.

The allegations, which surfaced last month, painted Olivia, 33, as a “diva” for reportedly bringing her personal “glam squad” to the set, rather than opting for ITV’s in-house styling team. A source told OK! magazine that the reality TV sensation was stunned by the rumours, prompting Olivia to now clear the air herself.

Speaking on her So Wrong It’s Right podcast, she refuted any bad blood with the Loose Women team, saying: “There is no shade at Loose Women, not that I am involved in any way.”

She went on to confront the narrative that her choice of glam team had ruffled feathers at the show, saying: “It is just not true. If it is true and they are all just doing a really good job of like lying to me, it makes no sense because I am paying my own team to come in, which means the other women get more time in the glam room, so it would make no sense to have an issue with me having my one glam team.

“Plus, quite a few of the women do have their own teams. I’ve been reassured by all the other women they do not care. It is not something they think about or they talk about.

“If there was tea, if there was shade, 100% you would know, because I just actually cannot help myself.”

Another Loose Women panellist, Kaye Adams, recently responded tot he allegations, telling Emily Dean on her Walking The Dog podcast: “We have never, ever, fallen out about make-up artists… or wardrobe… or dressing rooms..

“We probably do have fall-outs on particular issues, but we do not have fallouts on, you know, wardrobe, make-up, boyfriends – you know, all of those tropes that just get rolled out constantly.”

She also highlighted the unequal media treatment compared to their male peers and speculated on the dynamic behind the curtain at programmes like Match Of The Day.

With a touch of humour, she quipped: “I don’t know, maybe Alan Shearer hates Gary Lineker’s guts. He’s gone, hasn’t he?”

Since August 2023, Olivia has been a regular face on Loose Women, and Kaye noted her “lot younger” age difference with the rest of the women, enjoying the rapport she has with her co-stars.

Olivia herself spoke positively about joining the team, commenting previously: “I get on with all of them really well, and some of them in particular I’ve become really friendly with. You never know what it’s going to be like joining a new workplace, it’s like being the new kid on the block.”

Playing feisty Eileen Grimshaw for 25 years means that actress Sue Cleaver loves her as much as Corrie fans. Despite leaving the cobbles in the next few weeks, Sue, 61, wants nothing but the best for Streetcars switchboard operator Eileen.

So, when soap bosses asked her if she wanted a happy ending for the mum of brothers Jason and Todd, the answer was a resounding yes. What they didn’t know was that she had been considering a new life chapter for four years and had already secretly designed her character’s departure.

Sue tells The Mirror: “There was always the risk that they might have killed me off, but they were supportive and said ‘Eileen’s a big part of the show.’ They asked what kind of ending I wanted, and I said I didn’t want to call it a day, because I love the place. I said I wanted a happy ending. Basically, the journey Eileen is taking is pretty much what I’m choosing to do.

“It’s new adventures. Just because you’re a certain age doesn’t mean that you have to stop, that your chances in life are finished, that you’re stuck and that you’re heading to your ageing days. There’s still a lot of life left in women my age, and we just need to grasp it and get out there and challenge ourselves and get out of our comfort zones. So, the story, in a sense, is following my own departure.”

Revealing that she has been considering leaving for four years, Sue says that last year she contacted former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas, who spent 16 years playing her screen son Jason. Ryan left the show in 2016 and, in 2021, announced his retirement from acting. But the two have remained good friends, and he agreed to come back after the personal plea from Sue.

“I asked Ryan to come back over a year ago,” she reveals. “He had no intention of coming back into Corrie, but last April I said ‘look Ryan, I need you to do me a favour. I’ve not told work yet, but I’m going to leave and I’d really like you to come back and take me out.’ And bless him, he said: ‘well I can’t refuse that can I?’ “It was really special and lovely. I felt very supported having him there with me on that final day. We’ve both got busy lives, but we’ve always stayed in touch. I’m very fond of him.”

To Eileen’s delight, Jason turns up out of the blue from his home in Thailand at the funeral of her sister Julie Carp (Katy Cavanagh) later this month. With Eileen growing increasingly disenchanted with her life in Weatherfield, she makes a spur-of-the-moment decision to go back with him. Sue says: “I’m at a stage where I thought it was important to forge a new path for myself. My responsibilities as a parent had ended, and it was the right time for a change.

“It had been in my mind for the last four years to leave, so there’s been a lot of preparation and planning and thinking about it and making sure, but it definitely feels right. It’s exciting times. I’m not scared about the future. The only scary thing was making the decision that it was time. But once I’d made the decision, I knew it was the right thing for me.”

Straight-talking Eileen made an immediate impact when she joined the local taxi firm in 2000. “She was cocky, but she had a very big heart,” Sue says. “She was every woman. Everybody knows an Eileen. Everybody has an Eileen living on their street, and I think a lot of women could relate to her. She brought her boys up single-handedly, she’d been treated badly by men, she was a worrier, she was independent.”

The much-loved character has clocked up a string of failed relationships, including Jesse Chadwick, who ended up with her arch enemy Gail Platt and serial killer Pat Phelan. Most recently, she has been dating undertaker George Shuttleworth. When her terminally ill sister Julie took her own life, Eileen was horrified when she was suspected of having a hand in it. This adds to her increasing dissatisfaction with George, triggering her move to pastures new. Sue says: “With Julie passing, she starts to ask herself, ‘Why am I here? I don’t have to be here. Everyone has grown up; everyone has got their own life. This is my time.’”

Sue, who starred in Dinnerladies and Band of Gold before joining Coronation Street, lives in Manchester with her husband, TV lighting technician Brian Owen. Her son Elliot, 29, lives nearby. In the past few years, she has taken time away from the cobbles to appear in I’m a Celebrity and a tour of the musical Sister Act. She is also an occasional panellist on Loose Women and recently wrote her memoir A Work in Progress.

She hasn’t decided what she will do next, but wouldn’t rule out following her co-star Jack P Shepherd into Celebrity Big Brother. “I just don’t know,” she muses. “I’m open. If it sounded fun, I’d say yes, but if it doesn’t, I’m not going to do it. Strictly looks too much like hard work for me – I’ve got the elegance of an elephant – so I couldn’t see myself doing that at the moment.

“But I have no goal. I have no plan. I might go back to school, I’d like to travel more, and I’m having talks about various projects in the future, but I’m only going to be doing things that I really fancy. At this stage in my life, I wanna have fun and a bit of freedom.” While Sue didn’t want big leaving do she says: “Everyone was saying to me ‘are you going to have a party?’ I’m like ‘oh my God, I’m 61, I can’t be doing with parties.’

“And then Antony Cotton said he would ‘sort something.’ He booked a private dining room at the Ivy just for the people that I worked directly with – the Grimshaws and the Street Cars boys. And it was fabulous.” After Sue filmed her final scenes, she was presented with flowers, plus, randomly, an elephant statue from the Grimshaw set. She explains: “When I first moved into the Grimshaws’ house, there was this big elephant ornament. I hated it. I used to say ‘oh my God, it’s disgusting, can somebody just accidentally drop it.’

“Then, as time went on, it became ‘be careful with that elephant, don’t knock the elephant over.’ I got really attached to it and when I was leaving, I said ‘make sure nothing happens to it when I’m not here.’ “On the last day, when they gave me my flowers and presents, suddenly a ribbon-bedecked elephant arrived. I’m its custodian. So, if Eileen ever comes back, the elephant will come back with her!”

Eileen’s fieriest moments:

Eileen Grimshaw doesn’t take prisoners, and, as well as her famous spats with her arch-enemy Gail Platt, countless other Coronation Street residents have been on the receiving end of her fiery temper. “I’m told there have been 19 slaps, most of them were for her son Jason, and there were a few punches,” says Sue. “I can’t even remember them all – how horrifying is that, that’s it has become the norm!

“I remember Eileen once hit Steve McDonald, and I nearly knocked (the actor) Simon Gregson out. This was in the days before health and safety. They didn’t get a stunt person in. They just said ‘slap him’. So, I slapped him and he was literally seeing stars. There was another scene with Simon and Craig Charles, where I had to bang their heads together. I got it a bit wrong and actually did it, and it was really hard. I felt awful – you could just hear this loud crack – the sound was terrible!”

Eileen has also punched Janice Battersby, slapped Pat Phelan and ended up in hospital herself back in 2012, when she was accidentally smacked in the face during a fight scene with Lesley Kershaw, played by Judy Holt. Sue hit the floor and lost consciousness. “I was knocked out cold,” she recalls. “They still used the sound and sent me to hospital!”

Brooklyn Beckham has made a rare comment about his bond with his dad David Beckham, despite their ongoing feud.

The 26-year-old made the confession in an interview about his Formula E career, in which he gave a candid, rare insight into their relationship – which is rumoured to be fractious at the moment. Brooklyn is said to not be answering calls from his concerned parents in an apparent feud which sparked after his brother Romeo Beckham began dating Kim Turnbull.

Despite rumours the eldest Beckham son isn’t on talking terms with David and Victoria as well as his siblings, he revealed his love of motorsport was sparked by his football star father.

“It’s something that me and my dad bonded over. My dad’s had some pretty cool cars,” he told The Times in an interview. Brooklyn also admitted to driving his father’s favourite car as he added that his top pick is his “1954 Jaguar, which I very rarely drive, only when the weather’s perfect.”

The admission comes after it was revealed that David and wife Victoria Beckham have been attempting to build bridges with Brooklyn who is reportedly ignoring their calls. Insiders have claimed that David is “desperate to make amends with his son Brooklyn as he fears history is repeating itself.”

David had a bitter feud with his own father, Ted, in 2005 which led to the pair not speaking for two years. It was only when Ted suffered a near-death health scare in 2007 that they began to work to fix their broken relationship.

David, 50, and Ted, 77, have remained close ever since, but the former footballer – who recently completed a takeover of Salford City FC with former teammate and close friend Gary Neville – does not want to go down the same route with Brooklyn.

They also failed to acknowledge either David or Victoria’s birthday’s on social media.

Brooklyn is also said to no longer be on speaking terms with his brother Romeo after they fell out over his sibling’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull. Brooklyn – who has some romantic history with Kim – reportedly doesn’t trust her motives in dating his younger brother and has refused to attend any event where she is invited.

Winner Chris McCausland shared why he didn’t attend the BAFTAs – and it was nothing to do with being convinced Gavin & Stacey would win!

The drama surrounding Strictly Come Dancing did not appear to put off the public who voted Dianne Buswell and Chris’ waltz to You’ll Never Walk Alone as the most memorable moment in TV. But he wasn’t there to pick up the award, leaving his partner to do the honours.

Dianne was at the ceremony to pick up the gong – which recognised a special dance routine with her celebrity partner, blind comedian Chris.

The winning couple’s “blackout” dance, which went viral on social media, saw him place his hands over her eyes as the room faded to black, mimicking his everyday experience.

When the lights returned, the 47-year-old was spinning around with Dianne on his shoulders as pyrotechnics flared in the background.

On stage last night, she gushed: “In one minute and 30 seconds of a dance, I feel like this told such a story. A story of hope, determination, resilience and vulnerability. This moment meant so much to the both of us, so I’m just so thrilled that we have this.”

They won for their incredible waltz

Chris wasn’t there for his big moment and explained why. He was thrilled to take home the trophy – and teased that the pair could fall out if they both don’t get one! Taking to Instagram, he told his followers why we was absent and couldn’t accept the BAFTA.

He said in a video: “We only went and won a BAFTA! I’m very proud of her representing the two of us. Her speech was amazing. I’m actually in Warrington, I’ve had two shows here today and these are the shows I cancelled to do Strictly…. I couldn’t exactly cancel a second time to go to the BAFTAs, could I?

“And to be honest I thought Gavin & Stacey could win! Thank you so much for voting. I just hope we get two of them or me and Dianne are going to fall out trying to share that thing aren’t we!” The clip, filmed in the theatre, ended with cheers from the team.

The moment won over scenes that aired on The Traitors, Rivals, Bridgerton, Gavin and Stacey and Mr Bates vs The Post Office. Strictly is normally up for the Best Entertainment Programme but has been snubbed this year for the first time ever in the show’s history.

Instead, the Entertainment Programme is made up of nominees The 1% Club (ITV1), Michael McIntyre’s Big Show ( BBC One), Taskmaster ( Channel 4 ) and Would I Lie To You? (BBC One).

Last year, Amanda Abbington, 51, alleged she was subjected to “inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying” in a “toxic environment” while she was a contestant on Strictly in 2023. The BBC upheld “some, but not all” of the allegations made by Amanda about her dance partner Giovanni Pernice – who has always denied the accusations.

The Bafta TV Awards show began in Traitors style with Alan Cumming wearing the well-known dark cloak in the Scottish Highlands castle. Cumming, who described himself as the “devilishly handsome” host of the US Traitors, was summoned to the Traitor turret and asked to host the Bafta TV Awards this year.

Actor James Corden’s £8.5m ‘dream’ family home in the UK remains untouched, more than two years after he got the go-ahead for his plans. The Gavin and Stacey star snapped up Templecombe House in Oxfordshire back in 2020, with hopes of moving there with his family after eight years stateside.

In January 2023, he was given the green light to knock down the existing property and build a new six-bedroom mansion, subject to certain conditions. Before work could start, Corden’s team had to agree to a series of ‘obligations’ through a section 106 legal agreement with Wokingham Borough Council.

Despite initial pushback from the local council and English Heritage, an agreement was finally reached, clearing the way for James to start work on his dream home. However, recent aerial snaps show no visible progress has been made on the site, which remains empty with no signs of when work will begin.

Planning documents from the original application reveal that he initially wanted new leisure facilities including an indoor and outdoor pool, a sauna and steam room as part of the development. However, his proposal was only given the thumbs up once these elements were taken out of his plans.

Corden was required to make several adjustments during the planning process, including implementing lighting measures to safeguard bats, badgers, and glow worms. He was also instructed to carry out landscaping to preserve the 45 granite megalithic stones on the property, reports Gloucestershire Live.

Furthermore, Corden was directed to commission a series of test trenches across the site and permit archaeologists to work there. English Heritage had expressed concerns that the pool house was too close to the historic collection of 45 vertical granite megalithic stones that form a circle in the Grade II listed grounds.

The Mont de la Ville ‘dolmen’ was first unearthed on the island in the 18th century and gifted to then Jersey governor Henry Seymour Conway in 1788. Field Marshal Conway, as he later became known, had the dolmen transported to his Henley-on-Thames estate, where it still stands today.

Jersey officials had previously expressed their hopes to return the monument back to the island and were seeking support from the TV star. Corden came into possession of the Mont de la Ville dolmen when he bought Templecombe House in Berkshire.

Mr Corden and his wife, Julia, shelled out £8.5million for the property near Henley-on-Thames, a sprawling 43-acre estate that includes the dolmen.

The original country house, constructed in 1869, is thought to have served as a boarding school from 1948 until its demolition in 1961, when it was replaced with the current house. The decision to approve the rebuild came as Templecombe House had fallen into disrepair and was attracting urban explorers.

Corden has been granted planning permission to replace the existing home with a two-storey, six-bedroom property featuring a basement, a spacious internal courtyard, kitchen, living room, dining room and a breakfast room that opens onto a large terrace area with a playroom. The new home will also boast two study areas, three bathrooms and a boot room.

The first floor will house five ensuite bedrooms and a main bedroom with two ensuites, opening onto a balcony. Documents reveal that the existing tennis court will be retained, but extensive landscaping work will be undertaken across the site.

Detailed construction plans for the new building were approved by the council in March of last year. These included measures for the protection of wildlife and trees, as well as flood mitigation strategies prior to construction.

It was previously reported that James, his wife Julia and their three children planned to move into the Henley-on-Thames house, located on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, as soon as possible.

Kate narrates the inaugural film from her new ‘Mother Nature’ series that showcases the season of spring and features never-before-seen clips of her and Prince William enjoying their wedding anniversary on the Isle of Mull last month.

The natural world has played an important role in Kate’s cancer journey, with the princess now in remission following her diagnosis more than a year ago. Meghan Markle sent a very telling message about her marriage to Prince Harry in her latest move shared online, according to an expert. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made few public appearances together in recent months as they concentrate on their differing career paths.

However, they were spotted letting their hair down as they enjoyed a Beyoncé concert together with friends in Los Angeles. And afterwards, Meghan uploaded a selection of videos and photos to Instagram, one of which showed her with Harry, who wore a hat that was inscribed with the words “Archie, Lili, My Love”.

Another clip showed them kissing as they enjoyed the concert, while a snap showed Meghan cuddling up to her husband as they posed for the camera. Accompanying the post, Meghan wrote: “About last night…. Thank you @beyonce and team for an amazing concert (and a very fun date night)! All love.”

And according to body language expert Judi James, it appeared to be a calculated post by the Duchess. She told the Mirror : “This tidal wave of tactile gush from Meghan looks like a return to her celebrity past with a range of sexy, clinging, body con-clad poses that look straight from her TV series Suits.

“She’s treating Harry to the non-verbal version of the verbal gush she did during the recent podcast interview where she described him as a ‘Fox’ and pointed out that he loves her ‘so much’.

Nicola Peltz has reportedly been branded a “narcissist” by a source as it’s also claimed she had a “huge influence” over Brooklyn Beckhams’ family fallout. This comes as it has been reported that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola haven’t been getting on with his family and have barely seen them over the last few months.

Victoria Beckham allegedly has a particular problem with her, with sources claiming that Nicola is a “narcissist”. The pair were said to have had issues three years ago when Brooklyn and Nicola were tying the knot in 2022, but it was thought that she and Victoria had managed to put that behind them.

It is believed to have arisen when Victoria was allegedly disappointed Nicola chose to wear a Valentino dress rather than a dress designed by her own label. Nicola denied the rumours, calling them “hurtful”.

“I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realised that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress,” she told Variety at the time. The pair quashed rumours of a feud between them back then. However, it’s said they’re no longer on good terms anymore.

The Mail On Sunday reported that a source claimed: “The view is that Nicola is a narcissist. Nicola has love-bombed Brooklyn since the day they met and has tried to convince him that she is all he needs, and then she has cut him off from his family.

“Nicola has used Brooklyn for all she can get to elevate herself and that has really worked for her – she’s a Beckham now. Victoria absolutely loves her son – she always will. But with Nicola it’s an entirely different story. She despises her, she tried her best to make up after the wedding row but this time it all seems extremely unlikely. Victoria has had enough.”

They added that the Beckham family think “Nicola is a nightmare”. The Beckhams’ relationship with Nicola is reported to have become particularly strained recently when one of the billionaire-heiress’ friends claimed that there is “emotional abuse and toxic behavior within his family”.

The pal said: “We are at this point because Nicola, an outsider coming into the Beckham family, has been able to help Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behavior within his family, that it’s not healthy and it’s not normal and it’s not ok.”

David and Victoria are outraged by the claims, but those close to them reject the allegations. A source close to the family told the Mirror they had been left “open-mouthed” that Nicola’s friends were “pumping out untruths”. The source added: “You wouldn’t expect this of your worst enemy, let alone close family members. The whole thing beggars belief.”

The alleged feud re-emerged during David’s 50th celebrations, where Nicola and Brooklyn were no where to be seen. The family celebrated the footballer’s birthday on three different occasions – an intimate family event at their Cotswolds home, a trip to France and the final event – a boozy dinner party held in Notting Hill, London.

It’s been said that the couple didn’t go to the events due to Romeo Beckham’s girlfriend Kim Turnbull attended, when she is rumoured to have had history with Brooklyn in the past as well.

cOMEDIAN Greg Davies revealed he’s ‘ready for a wife’ during a candid chat on the red carpet of the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday evening. The Taskmaster star and his co-host Alex Horne were nominated in the Entertainment category for their Channel 4 programme alongside The 1% Club, Michael McIntyre’s Big Show and Would I Lie to You?

Unfortunately, the programme lost to BBC’s Would I Lie to You? Ahead of the lengthy ceremony, Greg, 56, and Alex, 46, chatted to red carpet host and comedian Tom Allen about their nomination.

Towards the end of the conversation, the duo discussed how they came up with tasks for the show, prompting Alex to say: “We’re an unlikely couple,” with Greg adding: “That’s why we’re a good team.

Alex then added: “And I would like to thank my wife for getting us here tonight,” before Greg joked: “I don’t have a wife so maybe I can thank Alex’s wife.”

Tom insisted he could meet his wife at the star-studded event, with Greg responding: “Maybe I will, I’m open to it. It would be so lovely, it’s been too long and I’m ready now.”

Alex simply quipped: “Lonely,” as Greg added: “Oh god, the horrible hot lonely tears.” The Cleaner star was in a relationship with Labour Party politician Liz Kendall between 2007 and 2015. The comedian usually keeps his personal life under wraps.

Liz told previously The Mirror about their romance: “I am not going to be the sort of politician who does all that stuff about their private life because it’s very precious to me and really important to me that I have that space that’s personal and just to me. We are not together any more but we remain really good friends.”

Meanwhile, Greg tends to make jokes about his single life and previously said he ‘gave up’ on romance while on The Graham Norton Show.

During the interview, he admitted his grandfather accidentally walked in on him and a girlfriend during an intimate moment. He joked: “It’s not for me, romance… that was the day I gave up on romance.”

He also once said his ex-girlfriend, who he didn’t name, convinced him to switch from his teaching career to one in comedy. Speaking to The Times, he said: “I’ve been doing comedy for about 15 years now. I always wanted to do it, I just never had thick enough skin.

“A girlfriend I had while teaching was a pragmatist and always told me that if you want to do something, then go for it. So eventually I made the switch. Comedy is definitely where I’m happiest.”

During an interview with OK! magazine, Greg admitted that he had quite the crush on former Blue Peter star Janet Ellis, who also happens to be the mother of popstar Sophie Ellie Bextor.

Mortified Greg recalled: “I met Janet Ellis once in a fish and chip shop. I used to have a terrible crush on her, all throughout my childhood. Then I finally met her and said something humiliating, I think chips-based, that guaranteed I would never end up in the relationship I craved.”

He added: “I met her daughter Sophie on a show once and told her I fancied her mum and she rolled her eyes and said ‘everyone does’.”
