Birds of a Feather’s Lesley Joseph admits ‘I don’t know how long I’ve got left’

The TV icon Lesley Joseph opens up about ageing in showbiz, saying goodbye to Dorien Green, and why she still has more roles she would love to play

Television veteran Lesley Joseph has opened up about life after Birds of a Feather, revealing she’s come to terms with the fact that her time in the spotlight may be drawing to a close.

Now 79, Joseph found fame after decades of acting when she stepped into the high heels of the flamboyant Dorien Green – a role that made her a household name and TV icon. The original run of the show ended in 1998 but was brought back by ITV in 2014 before being cancelled again in 2021.

Looking back, Lesley admits the end of Birds of a Feather came at the right time. “It came as a relief,” she said candidly. “I wouldn’t have wanted to see Dorien with a zimmer frame.” She’s also made peace with leaving the character behind for good, adding: “I’ve laid her to rest now.”

Speaking to Woman’s Own, the actress was refreshingly honest about the reality of growing older in an industry that often sidelines women past a certain age. “At my age, I don’t know how much longer I have left in the business,” she confessed. Still, her spark remains. “I’m still ambitious, but I know my time is limited,” she added.

Joseph credits her long-lasting career to her ability to adapt and take on varied roles, and she’s optimistic about the changing landscape of TV. “There’s been a renaissance of older women on screen recently,” she noted.

Despite turning 80 later this year, Lesley’s energy and outlook remain upbeat—something she attributes to the example set by her late mother. “My mum died just short of 104,” she shared. “She was dancing until she was 96 and only stopped playing badminton when she was 90.”

To stay fit and active, Lesley says she “walks everywhere,” does yoga regularly, prioritises rest, and keeps up with her vitamins. “Exercising both physically and mentally is key,” she added.

Even with her sitcom days behind her, Joseph says she still has plenty she wants to achieve. “I’ve got a lot more to offer,” she said, though she admits being boxed in by her most famous role can be frustrating. “It can get frustrating being called a ‘sitcom queen’,” she acknowledged.

Meanwhile, fans hoping for a Birds of a Feather revival were recently given a definitive answer. Co-star Linda Robson confirmed that the show will not be returning, following the news that Pauline Quirke has retired from acting after a dementia diagnosis.

Appearing on Loose Women: The Podcast, Linda said: “No, it’s not going to come back. Because of Pauline, she’s not going to work again now.”

Robson added that while Quirke, now 65, has her “down days,” there have also been encouraging signs. “Charlie [Pauline’s son] rang me and just said she is doing really, really well at the moment,” Linda shared. “Sometimes she has down days, but at the moment she is quite up about everything.”

In a moment that clearly moved her, Linda recalled: “He said they got really, really excited when she said, ‘Here, where’s my mate Linda Robson?’ So I got quite emotional when he told me that as well.”

BBC Radio 1 star Vick Hope was showered with presents as she temporarily bid farewell to her co-stars before heading on maternity leave. After weeks of quiet speculation and subtle online clues, Vick Hope only recently confirmed that she and husband Calvin Harris are expecting their first child together.

“This is my final week,” she told listeners during her drive time slot with co-hosts Jamie Laing and Katie Thistleton this week. “I wanted to share that with you because we’ve had such a lovely time over the last few weeks. That time is coming to an end for a bit because I’m going on maternity leave next week.”

Jamie quickly added his support, saying: “You’re an amazing friend, an amazing person, and you’re just going to be an amazing mum.” Vick also took the opportunity to explain why she never made a formal announcement, despite ongoing curiosity from fans and media.

“This is not an announcement, by the way. People keep saying are you going to announce, are you going to announce? And I’m like, I’m not the King. I do not see the point, it’s not for me,” she said.

“I’ll be honest, I struggle with anything that’s personal or private. I will tell you a story about eating a kebab out of a bin, that’s one thing. But there’s a line and so I’ve never been that big on sharing. Particularly because I’ve just been enjoying this privately and quietly.”

Jamie also shared a message for Vick, explaining: “To the sweetest soul, who goes on maternity leave today – what a blast we’ve had.

King Charles hands important new charity role to ‘delighted’ Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie has spoken out about her ‘fitting’ new role as a mentor for young ‘changemakers’ with King Charles’ charity The King’s Foundation and its new 35 under 35 network

Princess Eugenie spoke of her delight after being handed a key new role with a cause close to the King’s heart.

It has been revealed that Eugenie, King Charles’ niece, has become a mentor for The King’s Foundation charity’s new 35 under 35 network of changemakers.

The princess visited the Garrison Chapel, the London exhibition space of the monarch’s charity, last week to meet some of the group.

The 35 under 35 have been brought together in the foundation’s 35th anniversary year to promote the change the King wants to see globally across sustainability, traditional crafts and the arts. And Eugenie, who is also a director at Hauser & Wirth contemporary gallery, said she was looking forward to sharing her passion for art.

The princess said: “I’m delighted to be working with this group of exceptional young people who have been selected thanks to their outstanding work in areas the King is passionate about.

“Given I recently celebrated my 35th birthday, it’s fitting to take part in the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations and share my passion for art with the 35 under 35.” She also praised the selection of young creatives for their “outstanding work in areas the King is passionate about”.

Other mentors include designer Samuel Ross, artist and influencer Sophie Tea Art, and historian Alice Loxton, who has millions of followers on social media as @history_alice.

The list of 35 under 35 includes woodworker Eli Baxter, embroiderer Angelica Ellis, basketmaker Florence Hamer, stonemason Freya de Lisle, milliner Barnaby Horn, painter Jo Rance, and environmental filmmaker Jack Harries.

This week, Eugenie was specially invited to the Buckingham Palace garden party by the Prince and Princess of Wales, after they requested she and Zara Tindall accompany them.

It is the second year running that William has called on his cousins to support him in hosting a party for the King.

Royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror it is a refreshing change having the likes of Eugenie get involved.

She said: “The younger royals are easy in conversation and highly relatable. They’re the sort of people you feel you can have a giggle with – and that makes all the inevitable nerves for people attending a royal event quickly disappear into thin air.

“And I think this is indeed the way things will happen in future. The cousins are a close and affectionate band of youngish mums and dads with lots in common. I don’t think any of them are hankering after an official role as a working royal, but they are more than happy to help out their cousin whenever he asks.

“It strikes me as the perfect compromise between expanding the core group of working royals – with the extra cost to taxpayers that would entail – –and having a slimmed down monarchy which is just too small to cope.”

Eamonn Holmes ‘in pain all the time’ as pals question GB News stint after fall

Eamonn Holmes recently left GB News viewers gobsmacked when he fell from his chair live on the air but friends of the broadcaster have claimed he’s often in pain due to his health issues

Eamonn Holmes is believed to be in pain “all of the time” due to his ongoing health issues. The broadcaster has previously been open about his health conditions after suffering a series of setbacks in recent years. Now, pals of the 65-year-old have questioned why he’s continuing to appear on TV.

On Wednesday, viewers were left gobsmacked when Eamonn fell from his chair live on GB News, leaving his two co-anchors completely stunned after the commotion. Bosses at the network are reported to be concerned about his TV work.

In recent years, the Northern Irish broadcaster has undergone a hip replacement, as well as more surgery due to three slipped discs. His health took a turn in 2022, but just one year later, he stated he could “no longer walk or look after himself.” Eamonn is often seen using a walking aid and suffers from chronic back pain.

Helen was earlier spotted smiling before her co-host picked her up for their breakfast outing. She appeared to have enjoyed the ride as they pulled up at their stop, with both fixing their hair after removing their helmets.

The images, obtained by Mail Online, showed the pair looking very close on their outing. The duo’s friendship is said to have been “blossoming into a deeper connection” recently.

The stars, who close pals thanks to their time together on Morning Live, have both had their hearts broken in recent times. While Gethin’s engagement to Katherine Jenkins was called off, Helen split from ex-husband Richie Myler back in 2022.

And their latest outing follows time together at the BAFTAs, where they got tongues wagging as they laughed together at the bash before leaving together.

It has since been reported that they are both growing close and there are suggestions that sparks are starting to fly between them.

A source recently told MailOnline: “Helen and Gethin have an extremely close working relationship and there’s a feeling in recent months their friendship has blossomed into a deeper connection.

“They’re both keen to keep a lid on it to avoid public scrutiny but there’s no denying their closeness both on and off screen.”

The closeness comes after Helen and Leeds Rhinos rugby player Myler split shortly after welcoming their third child, Elsie, together. Four months after her arrival the duo ended the marriage.

Helen shocked her followers at the time when she broke the news on her Instagram page. She wrote at the time: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children.”

While Helen looks to be moving on, Richie has too. the 34-year-old sports star began dating Stephanie Thirkill – whose millionaire father Andrew Thirkill is president of Richie’s club, Leeds Rhinos.

The duo have since welcomed a baby of their own after going public with their relationship last year.

Timothy West died after nasty fall as EastEnders icon’s cause of death revealed

An inquest into the death of EastEnders star Timothy West has confirmed the legendary actor died peacefully with his family around him, six months after he was found unresponsive at a care home

Timothy West died “peacefully with his family around him” at a care home where he was receiving palliative care after a three-month stay in hospital following a fall, an inquest has heard.

The EastEnders and Coronation Street actor died aged 90 on November 12 last year. At the time, his devastated children, Juliet, Samuel and Joseph West, said in a statement he died “peacefully in his sleep”.

An inquest was later launched to determine the cause of Timothy’s death after he was found by a care home nurse. He had been living at Wandsworth Common Care Home – Avery Collection, where a care home nurse found him.

Assistant Coroner Jean Harkin launched an inquest into his death at Westminster Coroner’s Court in the days after Timothy’s death. She said: “The deceased was identified as Timothy West, a British citizen, aged 90 years, born on October 20, 1934, in Bradford. He was an actor, husband of Prunella West.”

“It is not possible to determine how the fall happened and there is no evidence of others being involved.

“He was treated in hospital for around three months before being discharged to a care home on 5 November 2024 for palliative care.

“Unfortunately he was not well enough to be discharged to his home despite receiving appropriate care in the care home. He died on 12 November 2024.”

Timothy had been living at Wandsworth Common Care Home in the days leading up to his death.

The home’s general manager, Thomas Holden, said in a statement read out at Thursday’s inquest: “On 12 November his family were with him all day.

“They continued to stay with him in his room during the evening and he passed away peacefully with his family around him at 19:20.”

The inquest had initially been adjourned in November and was due to take place in February this year. In a statement issued by Timothy’s agent, his children said: “After a long and extraordinary life on and off the stage, our darling father Timothy West died peacefully in his sleep yesterday evening. He was 90 years old.

“Tim was with friends and family at the end. He leaves his wife, Prunella Scales, to whom he was married for 61 years, a sister, a daughter, two sons, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. All of us will miss him terribly. We would like to thank the incredible NHS staff at St George’s Hospital, Tooting and at Avery Wandsworth for their loving care during his last days.”

EastEnders also released an emotional statement, saying: “We are extremely saddened to hear that Timothy West has passed away. Timothy joined EastEnders as Stan and his presence as the patriarch of the Carter family was immediately felt. He will forever be in our hearts. We send all our love and thoughts to Timothy’s family and friends.”

Following Timothy’s death, his son, Samuel, said that Prunella was “not well enough” to comprehend that the actor had sadly died. told The Sunday Times: “All I am going to say is she’s not really well enough to take it all in.”

In the year before his death, Timothy gave a rare insight into his family life after caring for his wife, Prunella, who was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2015. Timothy, however, first spotted signs back in 2001 after going to see her in a theatre production.

Although the production went ahead with no issues, he said Prunella was “a bit strange” and “not totally with it.” In a rare interview with BBC Breakfast in 2023, he said it “isn’t going to get better.” “It hasn’t really been hard work, has it?” Prunella, now 92, said: “No, he is the person I love and I enjoy being with…” to which he responded: “That is about it I think! ” Discussing when he first noticed his wife’s deterioration, he said: “I came to see a play that Pru was doing in Greenwich.”

“I went to see the first night and it was good, much enjoyed by the audience and then I went to see it again and I thought ‘She’s not totally with it’. We went to see a specialist and he said I am sorry this is just something that happens to you when you get older. It is not going to get any easier, but we cope with it and we manage.”

  • Brooklyn Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz branded ‘worst of the worst’ and ‘actually a monster’

Brooklyn Beckham’s wife Nicola Peltz branded ‘worst of the worst’ and ‘actually a monster’

Nicola Peltz has been accused of being a ‘monster’ by her former hair colourist – but her friends furiously hit back

New claims about Nicola Peltz have emerged as her friends fight back(Image: Instagram)

There is a running joke in the Beckham family that whenever Nicola Peltz enters a room, one should duck and cover.

“Waiters are often in the firing line,” claims a source. “Staff, family members, you name it….they’ve seen it with their own eyes.”

Of course, a more charitable view is that being born into a big, brash American billionaire family, these are merely cultural differences at play. Nicola’s friends would argue this is a woman who knows what she wants, and is not afraid to voice her opinions.

But others – including the Beckhams – would claim such behaviour can come across as rude.

“Say what you like about David and Victoria, but manners are incredibly important to them,” says one source close to the family. “Brooklyn is often close behind Nicola soothing things over. It’s almost as if he is being extra nice as if to offset his wife.”

    Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham
Nicola Peltz hit by new claims – as her friends fight back

The caustic aside illustrates how the family rift is still very much bubbling away under the surface weeks after Brooklyn and his wife snubbed David’s 50th birthday celebrations.

It reached its zenith a week ago with the extraordinary briefing from Nicola’s friends that she had helped Brooklyn “see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within his family.” A source close to the Beckhams – who previously described the accusations as “deeply unpleasant and patently untrue” – said it was a “bit rich” for Nicola’s friends to lecture about toxic behaviour.

They’d seen first hand the “horror-show” which was her and Brooklyn’s lavish 2022 three-day nuptials at the £76million family mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

“The alarm bells began to ring”, says a source. “Nicola was very stressed out and quite difficult to be around.”

Nicola’s pals claim a lot of this was borne out of Victoria’s alleged refusal to make her wedding dress. They say she spent three months with the Beckhams in 2020 and tried her hardest to integrate herself into the family. “Nicola was working hard to have a healthy relationship,” says a pal.

But now other stories are starting to emerge from Los Angeles of similar run-ins with Brooklyn’s wife. Top celebrity hair colourist Justin Anderson, whose clients have included Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Aniston, worked with Brooklyn’s wife when she starred in Transformers early in her acting career.

    Then Beckhams
At war: Beckhams divided (Image: Instagram)

Asked previously if there was a celebrity he would never work with again, Anderson called her the “worst of the worst of the worst”, adding that she was “actually a monster”. Peltz’s friends say this characterization is false and stems from an incident involving Justin on set.

But after the Beckhams were accused of toxic behaviour and emotional abuse, friends of Justin say he has nothing but sympathy for them.

A pal said: “Justin can only imagine what it would be like to have Nicola as a daughter-in-law. He feels very bad for the Beckhams caught up in everything.”

The hair colourist previously said in a 2019 interview: “I remember this one time, the worst of the worst of the worst was this one little diva girl – I am going to get into trouble – she was the new Transformers girl. Her name was Nicola Peltz. She is from a really wealthy family. She was supposed to be the new It Girl but she has disappeared now. She is actually a monster.”

He added: “It’s so small in this town that if you are an a**hole people dont want to work with you. People who are really rude at the beginning…who think I am in this movie now, I am going to be this huge star, and they start having an attitude, no-one wants to work with that s***”

Last night a source close to Nicola hit back at her hair colourist’s comments suggesting the bad-blood stemmed from their time together on the press tour on the Transformers film.

The source claimed that Justin got “distracted” and left bleach too long in her hair. The same source claims a new stylist was brought in for the remainder of the press tour.

Justin’s friends dispute this version of events. One said: “Nicola knows that’s not the truth of what happened that day…she doesn’t want to open up that can of worms.”

    Justin Anderson
Justin Anderson in hair row(Image: justinanderson/Instagram)

Only yesterday, quotes resurfaced from the actress Bella Thorne who once branded a mystery Hollywood star a ‘very, very mean girl’. Fans are now speculating she could be talking about Peltz.

“It’s not I hate her because she’s a billionaire. I don’t like her because she is a billionaire and makes sure everyone knows that she is,” Thorne said.

She added: “I never say hello to her. Her siblings are not mean like she is. It’s just her. One of the reasons I don’t like her is because she’s been a billionaire since she was very little, and she’s never had to work for anything in her life.”

Bella’s comments came just a year after Peltz – who has seven siblings – starred in the 2014 independent film Affluenza opposite Greg Sulkin, who was Bella’s boyfriend at the time,

A source said: “Who knows if this is about Nicola….but it’s fair to say she very much knows her own mind.” Indeed, reports suggest that Nicola has also got through a succession of previous agents and PRs, including William Morris Endeavour, a top US showbusiness agency.

A source added: “She is quite ruthless in changing things up, and letting her opinions known. The Beckhams are now in the crosshairs.”

Which begs the question…for how long for? Many believe that as long as Brooklyn is with Nicola, the feud will rumble on and on.

“He is besotted with Nicola, and his loyalties are firmly wedded to hers,” says one friend. But even if harmony did break out, will the Beckhams ever forgive the vicious briefing by her friends about the standard of their parenting.

“Even with the best will in the world, I am not sure how anyone can get past being called toxic and emotionally abusive,” said one. “It’s so outrageously false….and to come from your daughter-in-law’s friends, it just beggars belief.

“But at the same time, they dearly love their son, and if a peace deal was on the cards, they would snap it up.”

  • Coronation Street’s Colson Smith reveals ‘hard’ moment bosses axed Craig Tinker

Coronation Street’s Colson Smith reveals ‘hard’ moment bosses axed Craig Tinker

Colson Smith has opened up about the moment he discovered his Coronation Street character PC Craig Tinker was being axed by soap bosses

Colson Smith has revealed the difficult moment when he was sacked from Coronation Street. The actor bowed out of the ITV soap opera on Wednesday night’s episode when Craig Tinker was killed off. The police officer died in brutal scenes on the ITV soap after a vicious attack at the hands of villain Mick Michaelis in the previous episode. Mick beat innocent Craig with a bat before leaving him for dead.

After Craig was rushed to the hospital, his nearest and dearest had been hopeful that he would survive despite his horrific injuries, including swelling on the brain following the brutal attack. Sadly, Craig tragically died, leaving Kirk Sutherland completely heartbroken as he rushed into the hospital room in floods of tears.

Now, Colson, 26, has spoken about the moment show boss Kate Brooks told him that the character was exiting the soap. “It feels like the end, and it’s great. It’s a bookmarked, signed, sealed, delivered sort of thing. It’s been nice to see it play out,” he said.

Speaking to Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard on This Morning, he went on to add: “When you get told you’re leaving a show, the one thing you ask is ‘Am I killed and how do I go?’ I wanted to be killed. I think that really was the right thing. I’ve been in that building since I was 12 years old. I know how it works; you pick up on vibes, you pick up on things.

Colson revealed he's told Corrie's boss Kate Brooks he wanted his character to be killed off
Colson revealed he’s told Corrie’s boss Kate Brooks he wanted his character to be killed off(Image: ITV/This Morning)

“I told Jack and Ben, tonight’s the night, will you be there for me? I went up to the boss, and she said, ‘This isn’t going to be an easy conversation.’ I said, ‘Let’s get it out of the way.’”

Speaking about his meeting with Kate, he said: “Getting told is hard, hearing the words – I tried really hard not to put the words into her mouth. As soon as I knew, I was at peace with what was going on.” Despite asking to be killed off from the soap, Colson has also revealed he had no idea how brutal it would be.

He questioned the show boss Kate during their meeting, which left her “stumbling.” He had two key things he wanted to know, before reassuring her on what the right way for Craig to bow out would be. Speaking to the Mirror, Colson revealed: “There had been about 20 minutes of Kate talking to me, but we hadn’t touched on when or how, or who or what.

Colson told Cat and Ben it was 'hard' to hear the news from Kate
Colson told Cat and Ben it was ‘hard’ to hear the news from Kate(Image: ITV/Coronation Street)

“So I kind of stopped Kate and said, ‘Look, I have two questions, and one is when, and two is, do I get killed?’. And she kind of like, stopped and stumbled a little bit.” But Colson was quick to let Kate know he was keen, if he had to leave, that Craig died so that his exit was final.

He said: “For me to go, I would want to leave. I would want to die, I would want the door to be shut, so then I can kind of know in my head that Corrie has been this, Corrie has done that, and it is now done, and Craig’s journey is over.”

Although some actors would say working on Corrie would be their career highlight, Colson revealed to Cat and Ben that this wasn’t the case for him. Instead, his career highlight was getting to know his co-stars, members of production, security and other members of staff behind the scenes.

He revealed that in the summer, bosses throw on a spread for those who work on the Manchester-based soap. This includes hiring an ice cream van, allowing everybody to kick back and relax under the scorching sun throughout the summer following a hard day at work.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV One and ITV X. Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITV X

EastEnders star axed from soap after eight years as iconic character

It’s curtains for Albert Square favourite Bernie Taylor, with star Clair Norris confirmed to be leaving the popular BBC soap after an impressive eight years in Walford

EastEnders star Clair Norris is reportedly set to leave the BBC soap after eight years on screen. The star is best known for playing Albert Square resident Bernie Taylor, who originally arrived in Walford alongside mum Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) and late brother Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).

It’s been a tricky few years for Bernie however, with her mum Karen leaving Albert Square in 2023, shortly followed by the murder of her brother Keanu on Christmas Day. According to The Sun, Bernie’s exit storyline didn’t come as a surprise to star Clair.

A source recently told The Sun: “Every time a soap gets a new boss they want to make their own changes – it’s nothing personal. The writing has been on the wall for Bernie for some time so it wasn’t really a surprise to Clair.”

“She was the last Taylor standing and it’s time to close the chapter on them and let Clair go on to do other things.”

While another insider told the publication that “characters have to leave for new stories to begin” but that Clair will be missed.

A spokeswoman for EastEnders said: “We can confirm that Clair will be leaving EastEnders later this year and we wish her all the best for the future.”

It’s been a busy week in Albert Square, with fans fearing that Teddy Mitchell could be next to leave the soap.

With a dramatic car crash coming up on the soap, a trailer of the accident teased danger ahead for one Albert Square resident.

Spoilers for next week revealed that Teddy is involved and now fans are worried that his time in Walford may come to an end – particularly as star Roland Manookian has a new project coming out.

“Teddy’s actor has a new project coming up on his IMBD. It’d be a shame to lose him so early in the game.”

Another fan predicted: “Teddy- this would make the most sense as Zach could bond with Barney Nicola could try to blame Shireen’s death on him & it would send Harry into a spiral.”

Another said: “I think Teddy is going to die – only because I want Nicola to go back to prison so that Harry and Shireen can get justice.

P Diddy trial: All the shocking photos shown in court this week from guns to Cassie’s injuries

The jury at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial was shown a selection of shock photos this week, including Kid Cudi’s destroyed Porsche and the items found in P Diddy’s hotel room

The jury at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ high-profile trial were shown a number of explosive images this week as each witness took to the stand.

Rapper Kid Cudi, real name Scott Mescudi and who dated Cassie Ventura in 2011, was one of the latest to take the stand, with dramatic photos shown to the jury. He spoke about an incident where his Porsche was burnt by what he called a Molotov cocktail – which is a hand thrown bomb filled with flammable liquid.

Diddy, 55, is currently facing a number of serious charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He was arrested in September and strongly denies all allegations made against him. He has been in prison since his arrest, and a number of bail requests have been rejected.

Kid Cudi detailed his relationship with Cassie, who is Diddy’s ex-girlfriend. He spoke of a break-in at his home and the irreparable damage to his car.

The trial continued after Homeland Security Investigations special agent Gerard Gannon returned to the stand on Wednesday speak about the raid on the disgraced rapper’s home. He became the 10th witness called by the prosecution.

Cassie’s mother, Regina Ventura, was among the people who gave evidence this week. Cassie’s mother made a heartbreaking claim in court, telling the jury she took out a loan to pay Combs as she feared for her daughter’s safety. Diddy’s former assistant, David James, also testified, along with Cassie’s former friend Kerry Morgan.

The trial will continue on Tuesday as the court takes a break for Memorial Day holiday in the US.

“He’s in pain all of the time,” a source said. They went on to add: “It’s so very sad to watch. Even though he has no feeling at all in his back at times, he is up at the crack of dawn and does three hours of live television, which he is, of course, very good at. “

Speaking to the MailOnline, the source continued: “The viewers love him but you do have to wonder how long this is going to go on.” Last week, Eamonn left viewers of GB News concerned when he disappeared from his show leaving Ellie Costello to anchor the programme alone.

But it was Wednesday’s fall which sparked a commotion on the programme as anchor Charlie Rowley was lost for words when Eamonn fell from his chair.

As a sudden crash was heard, Charlie said: “Oh my gosh.” While the cameras focused on Rowley, Eamonn was heard saying: “I’m fine, fine, fine, carry on, carry on,” seconds before the programme went to an advert break.

As the show returned following a break, Eamonn said: “I’m alive,” before hitting out at the “wonky” wheels on his studio chair. Speaking to Ellie, he said: “They’re very wonky wheels on chairs we’ve got here, as a matter of fact, we don’t really like the chairs here.” He also went on to explain he recently suffered a fall at home which left him in pain.

Eamonn said: “It was a shock for me because I had a fall two weeks ago in my bathroom that hospitalised me and that hit me right in the back. And this hit me again – right in the back. Really, really sore, really sore.” Speaking at the time on social media, he said: “An unexpected journey this morning ….. bit of a fall on the bathroom floor. Gosh it hurts . Thank you Ambulance crew”, alongside four clapping emojis.

In a later post, he added: “Not how I wanted to be spending The Holiday weekend ….. but life’s not easy these days. Thanks to everybody who is looking after me.”
