ITV breaks silence over fears Loose Women panel to be slashed amid daytime cuts

Reaction to the news Loose Women will air only 30 weeks of the year from January irked Jane Moore, who said she was “immensely disappointed” to see pundits’ “lazy misogyny”

ITV has insisted it is not planning “radical changes” to the Loose Women line-up after it emerged some panelists were “in a state of panic and up in arms” amid the cuts bombshell.

The popular daytime programme will air for just 30 weeks each year from January, one of several changes ITV is making to “reinvest across the programme budget in other genres.” It reportedly left some Loose Women stars worried for their future, particularly Coleen Nolan, who a source had said was “shocked and blindsided” at the decision

Her colleague Jane Moore was also furious, albeit more so at the “snooty reaction” by commentators in the media. The journalist said she felt the programme has received unfair criticism, and reminded pundits the panel regularly hold key political figures, such as Nigel Farage, held to account.

ITV has also stressed Loose Women plays an important part in its daytime schedule, and told the Mirror today that wholesale changes to the panel are unlikely. The ITV source said: “We are not planning any radical changes to the panel. All of our Loose Women are hugely valued and we celebrate each and every one and the experience and opinions they bring to the show every day.

“Many of our long standing panellists have appeared on the show for the majority of its 25 year run on screens and those stalwart, Loose legends are at the core of the show’s success and hugely popular with the audience. The show remains a big priority within our daytime slate, having secured a BAFTA nomination, launched a podcast and celebrated a milestone anniversary in the last year alone

It is thought this stance has been shared with the stars themselves, some of whom “reached out to the production team in a panic” following the announcement of the shake-up last week. Ruth Langsford and Kaye Adams were among those particularly concerned, the Mirror reported in the wake of the bombshell.

Coleen, whose sister Linda died in January, “has always really relied on Loose Women… her main income,” a source had told us. They added: “She was one of the first Loose Women and she’s always thought it would go on forever. The Loose Women ladies are all gutted. They love the show and are really dedicated to it.

The programme, which first aired in 2000, won a Royal Television Society award earlier this year for its Facing It Together campaign against domestic violence. However, writing for The Sun this week, Jane said: “One male commentator for a broadsheet casually dismissed Loose Women — on air for 25 years — as a ‘gabfest’… The snooty reaction from some quarters was immensely disappointing.”

The journalist, in her second stint on Loose Women, reminded critics Janet Street Porter confronted then-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the show, asking him: “Why do you hate pensioners?” The iconic moment in May 2024 led to his fall from power, as Labour thrashed the Conservatives in a landslide election just weeks later

Oasis star Zak Starkey is consoling himself after being ditched from the Gallagher brothers’ eagerly awaited reunion tour. Fans of the Britpop legends were sent into a frenzy last year when Liam and Noel announced they were putting their fiery feud behind them and getting the back back together after a 16-year hiatus.

Fans can’t wait to watch the Don’t Look Back In Anger stars back in action when the gigs kick off in Cardiff on July 4. However, former drummer for the band Zak, who performed with Oasis between 2004 and 2009, won’t be a part of the line-up.

Zak appeared on BBC Breakfast this morning (May 27) to promote his new single with supergroup Mantra of the Cosmos, which also features Bez and Shaun Ryder from the Happy Mondays alongside former Oasis bassist Andy Bell.

When asked what he thought about the upcoming reunion tour, he conceded he was ‘gutted’ about not being asked to take part in the shows.

He said: “I texted them and said ‘why am I not in it?’. You know, if you get a new drummer, you get comfortable, don’t you? You get comfortable with new musicians and I think that’s what’s happened and I’m alright with that.”

He went on to say he would have jumped at the chance to join Oasis on tour had the offer come in, but praised the band and Liam, saying: “God, yeah. Greatest rock and roll band of my generation. Greatest rock and roll singer of my generation.”

Zak, who is the son of Beatles’ legend Ringo Starr, spoke about how his group’s new single, Domino Bones, was originally written by Noel Gallagher, who gave it to Mantra of the Cosmos after suggesting it suited them better.

The drummer told host Ben Thompson he was taken aback by the offer from Noel, saying: “I was blown away by it – I couldn’t believe it. The greatest songwriter of my generation sending me a tune.”

Last week, fellow Mantra of the Cosmos member Andy Bell confirmed he would be joining Liam and Noel on their reunion tour. The bassist, who played with Oasis between 1999 and 2009, said he was ‘really looking forward to it’.

Eagle-eyed fans shared snaps of Noel and Andy at rehearsals for the reunion gigs last week.

Despite some controversy over Ticketmaster’s “dynamic pricing” strategy that saw ticket prices soar to double their value, those who managed to secure their spot are ecstatic, especially after a glimpse of the band arriving at the rehearsal studio.

One excited fan posted: “F**k and I thought I was hyped before. It’s genuinely fantastic to see them!

“They’ve all aged pretty damn gracefully and I can’t lie, the beard looks decent on Noel. Glad Bonehead looks so healthy as well. Lads, it’s happening.”

Karen Hauer has admitted that she and ex-husband, Kevin Clifton, “belonged together” in an emotional interview following their divorce. The Strictly Come Dancing stars were married for three years before they called it quits in 2018, leaving their legion of loyal fans heartbroken.

Kevin, 42, is now in a relationship with BBC star, Stacey Dooley, 38, who he met on Strictly and with whom he shares daughter, Minnie, two. However, opening up about her former relationship with the dancer from Lincolnshire, Karen, 43, insists she “belonged” with Kevin. Lifting the lid on their break-up on Married At First Sight star, Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, she shared: “This one hurt because we belonged together. Do you know what I mean? It was like you wouldn’t say each other’s names without following the other person’s name.

“It was one of these that we’re like, ‘What? What?’ We built stuff together. I felt that he distanced himself from me, but I was probably doing the same because I felt if he didn’t want me then, okay, I’ll retreat.

“I’ll give you your space. It was one of those that we’re both not talking about it. So, I’m like, do you want a divorce? Do you want to split up? I don’t know what I want to do.”

Revealing the break-up happened over a year behind the scenes of Strictly, she continued: “What do you want to do? Do you know what you want? I don’t know what I want. Okay. So, do we are broken up or?

“So, it took a while actually. It took about a year behind the scenes, in front of the scenes, everything was normal.”

Claiming she would have stayed to work things out if she thought Kevin had wanted the same, Karen, who has been married three times, added: “We fell apart and I obviously didn’t know what was happening in his mind whether he wanted to be with me or not. I knew that I would have worked on it.

“I would have stayed but at the same time I couldn’t be with someone who wasn’t sure of whether they wanted to be with me or not. I couldn’t just wait.”

After the break-up, Karen, who split up from her third husband in 2023, was branded a cheat after fans, not realising that she and Kevin had broken up, accused her of having an affair after she was spotted with someone else.

    Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton

Insisting she wasn’t unfaithful to Kevin, Karen said: “It wasn’t someone that I dated or something, it just happened to be someone that I just saw a couple of times and I got snapped up.

“And then all of a sudden I was just walking with this person and then all of a sudden, you know, I’m portrayed as someone that has cheated on him and then obviously he [Kevin] saw the pictures and was like, ‘what’? So there was a big misunderstanding in all of that because I wasn’t, actually I was literally waiting to be loved.”

After their split, Karen and Kevin still continued to work together respectfully on Strictly as the Venezuelan-American shared: “We respected one another, you know. We never said a bad word about one another. I think that’s because we hold each other to such a high regard, you know. There will always be love there.”

Donald Trump demands Canada becomes 51st State hours after King Charles’ independence plea

Donald Trump has renewed his push for Canada to become the 51st State of the United States, just hours after King Charles III delivered a powerful speech to the Canadian Parliament.

In an apparent swipe at King Charles’ symbolic show of solidarity with Canada, Donald Trump took to Truth Social on Tuesday to stoke the flames for unification with North America under the Stars and Stripes.

Trump declared: “I told Canada, which very much wants to be part of our fabulous Golden Dome System, that it will cost $61 Billion Dollars if they remain a separate, but unequal, Nation, but will cost ZERO DOLLARS if they become our cherished 51st State. They are considering the offer!”.

The proclamation came just hours after King Charles had solemnly opened the Canadian Parliament, a move interpreted as a robust endorsement of the country’s sovereignty amidst mounting U.S. influence.

The Royal couple’s visit was fleeting yet laden with significance, marked by a grand ceremonial procession and an address merging diplomatic tact with sincere warmth.

Though the bulk of the King’s half-hour speech was prepared by the Canadian government, Charles infused it with personal touchstones at the beginning and end, invoking an emotional tribute to Canada’s identity and stature on the world stage.

“It is with a sense of deep pride and pleasure that my wife and I join you here today, as we witness Canadians coming together in a renewed sense of national pride, unity, and hope,” Charles imparted.

“As I have said before, ‘Every time I come to Canada… a little more of Canada seeps into my bloodstream – and from there straight to my heart.’ I have always had the greatest admiration for Canada’s unique identity.”

Interpreted by many as a tacit endorsement of Canada’s sovereignty, the King added, “Today, Canada faces another critical moment. Democracy, pluralism, the rule of law, self-determination, and freedom are values which Canadians hold dear, and ones which the Government is determined to protect.

Delivering the government’s committed stance, Charles emphasised: “The Government will discharge its duty to protect Canadians and their sovereign rights, from wherever challenges may come at home or abroad.”

Wrapping up his speech in a decidedly Canadian manner, he invoked the words of the national anthem: “The True North is indeed strong and free!

The grandeur of the Royal arrival paralleled his address. Throngs of people crowded the streets as 28 regal horses escorted the Royal cortege through Ottawa.

Amidst the procession, the King and Queen Consort made their way in the historic State landau that dates back 130 years, eliciting cheers and shouts of affection like “we love you King Charles” from enthusiastic spectators brandishing flags.

Greeted by Prime Minister Mark Carney and his wife Diana upon reaching the Senate, this was the King’s 20th official visit to Canada, with this occasion clearly signalling an unwavering show of support amidst escalating global tensions

But can Charles’ meticulous diplomacy be sufficient to maintain amity with Washington?

Observers are already pondering if the King’s pointed remarks will rankle Trump’s entourage, especially after Charles offered Trump a special personal invitation for an unprecedented second state visit to the UK.

A Royal informant disclosed to ITV: “He is thoughtful, has mastery of that diplomatic tight rope and has become even more acutely aware of how to walk it since he acceded to the throne.

The insider further remarked: “People will understand the King’s distinct, constitutional roles as Head of State for Canada and Head of State for the UK – and if anyone can fulfil those two separate roles adroitly, without favouring one over another, it’s him.”

As strains over tariffs and autonomy keep brewing between Ottawa and Washington, palace staff affirm that Charles is primed to ‘rise above’ any ‘regional challenges’ that may surface.

In the meantime, Canadians are measuring a significant American proposition against the solace brought by their King, who concluded his address with “heartfelt gratitude” for their reception and a strong reminder of Canada’s strength, unity, and freedom.

Brooklyn Beckham has spoken out just days after he publicly shunned his famous parents, David and Victoria, while vowing to ‘always’ choose his wife Nicola Peltz as fans gave him a warning

Brooklyn Beckham has been hit with a four-word warning from concerned fans after slamming his family. Tensions have been rife in the Beckham and Peltz families in recent months as their relationship continues to become strained.

Earlier this month, Brooklyn, 26, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, 30, had been set to attend a string of swanky celebrations for his dad, David’s 50th birthday, but the couple decided not to turn up at any. The Beckham family threw a string of celebrations, including a family dinner at their home in the Cotswolds, a trip to Paris and a huge party in London.

Brooklyn and Nicola had flown into London from Los Angeles especially for the event. But instead, they decided to head out for dinner with a friend and documented their evening on social media. Recent reports claim that David and former Spice Girls star Victoria feel that Brooklyn is being held “hostage” in his marriage with Nicola, who is reported to be the decision maker.

Earlier this week, the wannabe photographer turned chef stunned fans when he publicly stated he would always choose his wife over anybody else. Now, he has spoken out for the first time. Taking to Instagram, Brooklyn posed for a snap as he promoted his latest business venture, his hot sauce brand.

He was seen sipping on a pint of Guinness as he promoted his brand while displaying dozens of his tattoos across his arm. His upload, which has been liked over 11,000 times, was soon flooded with messages from his online followers. “Reconcile with your family! You will only regret it if anything happens. I lost my mum unexpectedly. Imagine my sadness and guilt. Please do it,” said one.

A second added: “Brooklyn put the games aside get in touch with your Dad & Mum! You know how much they love you.” “Real men don’t treat their families like he does,” commented another. Sources close to the Beckham’s have now said that they are hoping his sister, Harper Seven’s upcoming birthday could be an ice breaker for the family.

Speaking to The Sun, a source explained that the Beckham family are hoping the rift will have been resolved by July 10. But some do not feel this will be the case. They told the outlet: “It doesn’t seem likely at the moment.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Brooklyn and his wife said that she has succeeded in finally helping him “see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within his family”.

He recently stated that he would always choose his wife
He recently stated that he would always choose his wife

However, an insider close to the Beckhams, who previously described the accusations as “deeply unpleasant and patently untrue”, said it was a “bit rich” for Nicola’s friends to lecture about toxic behaviour.

“Brooklyn is now being referred to as ‘the hostage,’ he is in a situation where those who love Brooklyn fear that he is being controlled by Nicola, and it is heartbreaking,” one insider told Mail Online. They added: “Videos like this are just not what he does. He will be dying inside. He’s soppy and he’s a romantic, but that video just isn’t him. He hates all of that stuff so you have to wonder if Nicola was behind it.”

It came after Brooklyn shared a video of himself and Nicola riding a motorbike down a road surrounded by sprawling mansions. Making a dig at his family, he captioned his upload: “My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.”

Martin Clunes’ ITV drama, Out There, is getting the axe after only one series following the debut receiving a lower viewership rating than anticipated. The series has Martin take on the role of a father trying to protect his son, Johnny, after he gets involved with a drug dealer, Rhys.

After a shocking murder, Johnny calls his dad, Nathan, for help to remove the body. At the same time, Nathan is dealing with rich third-party investors trying to take his and his elderly neighbours’ farm. Despite the endless drama and action, the series failed to rake in the viewership it wanted.

The actor said to The Sun: “We were keen on doing a second series, but ITV aren’t, it seems. It didn’t quite pull the numbers they wanted, unfortunately.”

This week, ITV confirmed the news, saying: “We are really proud of Out There and would like to thank Martin and the production team for delivering a brilliant series.

“We do always hope to see our series return and we are sorry we didn’t get this drama to connect with a big enough audience to see that happen.”

Martin previously opened up about the uncertainty of his acting career and the possibility of returning to his role in Doc Martin.

The Men Behaving Badly star shared his thoughts on the precarious nature of the television industry, claiming it is in a “funny state” with a lot of “nervousness” and a lack of “confidence.”

Best known for his portrayal of the grumpy GP in ITV’s hit series Doc Martin, the actor expressed concerns over his future projects due to the challenges of being self-employed in the acting world.

The hit series, which had a successful run from 2007 to 2022, aired its final episode air during Christmas three years ago, leaving fans wanting more.

Speaking to i weekend, Martin revealed: “Television is in a funny state. There’s a lot of nervousness, not much confidence. I’ve been self-employed for so long and there’s always a part of me thinking: ‘What am I going to do next? I don’t have a job coming up. It has ground to a halt’.”

The series was a family affair produced by his wife, Philippa Braithwaite, and their company Buffalo Pictures, but Martin seemed reluctant to return to the charming village of Portwenn.

He went on to say: “I never got sick of it. There was never a negative thought about it, but it ended quite organically and I sort of don’t miss it. It hasn’t felt like having a limb off or anything.”

  • Inside Harvey Price’s broken relationship with dad Dwight Yorke – denied paternity; ‘few’ visits; heartbreaking plea to connect

Inside Harvey Price’s broken relationship with dad Dwight Yorke – denied paternity; ‘few’ visits; heartbreaking plea to connect

Harvey has only seen his dad a few times

Harvey Price turns 23 years old today (May 27) but over the years he has had a very frayed relationship with his dad, Dwight Yorke.

Harvey’s mum, Katie Price briefly dated former footballer Dwight in 2001. However, their relationship was short-lived as Katie reportedly found out he was cheating on her.

But during their brief time together, they had a child, Harvey, who was born with Prader-Willi syndrome and septic-optic dysplasia. But it seems his relationship with his dad hasn’t been very straight-forward.

    Denied paternity

Footballer Dwight initially refused to acknowledge that Harvey was his son.

He refused to believe it until a DNA test proved his paternity – which it did. It’s believed he did go to the hospital to see his son and put his name on the birth certificate.

However, since then, he has chosen to not be involved with Harvey’s upbringing.

    ‘Let down’ by Dwight

Katie once revealed that she felt Harvey had been “let down” by Dwight’s refusal to see him. And that the whole situation confuses Harvey.

She said: “I’m an adult. It’s not nice to let people down. But Harvey has been seriously let down by the serious relationships I have had. He doesn’t understand why the kids go to see their dads and he doesn’t. He doesn’t understand.”

    Dwight Yorke on interview

    Urged to connect

In 2019, Katie posted a heartbreaking plea on her Instagram to try to get Dwight’s attention.

In a video, Harvey was asked who he would write a message to, and he replied: “Daddy Dwight. I love you Daddy Dwight. You look beautiful.”

In the caption of the post, Katie wrote: “Anyone who knows Dwight Yorke please get him to contact his son. Harvey doesn’t deserve this. He sees his other son Tiger, so I don’t understand! He does charity work for different kids charities, yet doesn’t see or support his own son. I don’t get it!”

There have been countless times when Katie has publicly asked Dwight to be a part of Harvey’s life.

    ‘Door always open’ for reunion

Despite not being in Harvey’s life, Katie admitted in 2023 that he would be welcomed back.

She told The Guardian: “The door is always open. I would love the day I see Dwight and Harvey in front of each other. My mum still contacts his manager every year, and asks does he want to see Harvey for his birthday. And it’s always the same – no.”

Out of everything, Katie admitted she just wanted Dwight to know “what a gorgeous young man” their son is.

In 2021, Katie revealed in her book that Dwight had actually spoken to Harvey over the phone on his 10th birthday – and she was “shocked” that it happened. She said: “But I think Dwight was even more shocked when Harvey asked him: ‘When am I seeing you?’”

Katie said the last time she saw Dwight was when she met up with him at a restaurant in Cheshire, in 2012. They spoke about what Harvey had said on the phone, then Dwight told her he didn’t want to be in Harvey’s life. Kate explained: “Even after he said that, I was still trying to be persistent. I wanted Harvey to have his dad in his life, but he just wasn’t interested in any of it.

“This isn’t about me. This is your son and your flesh and blood. But he just didn’t give a [bleep]. There’s only so much you can try before you realise you’re flogging a dead horse. I got up and left and that’s the last time I saw him. I haven’t heard from him since.”

Number of visits Harvey Price has had from his dad

In April last year, Katie revealed to the Daily Mail that there has only been a handful of times that Dwight has actually seen Harvey in person.

She explained: “I think he has seen Harvey about nine times in his life.”

Katie went on to explain: “I have tried to send him pictures of Harvey on Instagram. He just ignores everything, he doesn’t want to know. But the door is always open.”

What has Dwight Yorke said about being a dad to Harvey Price?

However, in his book, Born To Score, Dwight admitted that he does “love” Harvey, and doesn’t like hearing what has been said about him.

In the 2009 book, he wrote: “From the moment I set eyes on the little fella, I have loved my son like I could never have imagined possible. I am not going to hear any more that I did not care for Harvey, or have any understanding of his needs or that I was not interested in his welfare.”

He has also revealed he’d turn back the clock and do things differently if he could. Explaining the distance between them, Dwight said: “It is a combination of different things, one my time schedule and being based up in Manchester and a footballer on an everyday basis. Not sitting here and saying I’m a total perfect father, I’ve made mistakes along the way and I would love to turn the clock back.”

He has also previously claimed: “Maybe if she [Katie] had not made life so difficult for me, might have been able to take a far more proactive role.”

Peter Andre wanting to adopt Harvey

Dwight did have an opinion when it came to Katie’s now-ex Peter Andre wanting to adopt his son.

“When I met Andre I wanted to throttle him. I’m not a violent man and it takes an awful lot to rile me. But this man got under my skin at the outset. No way would I ever, ever, allow Harvey to be adopted by him,” he wrote in Born to Score.

He added: “I understand that he has to play a role because that comes as part of the baggage when you get involved with Kate. But for him to say he was going to adopt my kid – and now look what’s happened four years down the road [Pete and Katie split]. Is he prepared to adopt Harvey at this stage? I don’t think so. The onus falls back on the father, which is me in the first place, so that’s why it should not have been mentioned.”

Katie’s mum Amy has revealed that Dwight is kept up to date with how Harvey is, though, despite the distance between them. In Katie’s 2021 book, Amy wrote: “I think it’s sad that Dwight isn’t in Harvey’s life. His agent has always been in contact with me. If Harvey isn’t well, she’ll message me and ask how he is. But Dwight never asks himself.”

    Inside Harvey Price’s struggles

Harvey price has had quite a lot of struggles over the years. He was born with a rare genetic condition, Prader-Willi syndrome that affects his learning and behaviour. It also causes an excessive appetite and over-eating.

Alongside this, Harvey has been diagnosed with both autism and ADHD, which can make it hard to communicate and causes increased anxiety.

The now-23-year-old also suffers from Septo-optic dysplasia, a rare birth defect that affects the brain, eyes and pituitary gland.

    Hospital stays

Over the years, Harvey has been admitted into hospital due to his health struggles. And in 2020, he spent time in intensive care after coming down with a fever.

Thankfully, Harvey made a full recovery and was discharged after several days in the unit.

Katie said to New Magazine in the aftermath: “It was awful seeing him in there with all of the tubes. he was so ill but managed to shout: ‘I want my mummy.’”

    Weight loss injection

Katie has revealed that Harvey Price is now taking weight loss medication as he is at risk of a heart attack.

She said: “It’s really, really serious and life-changing for Harvey. He’s at risk of a heart attack. He is putting on weight. It doesn’t matter what we do.”

Katie explained the doctors are giving it to him to try and give him a “better, longer life”.

Katie faced the blame for Harvey Price struggles

While Katie has always appeared to be making efforts to look out for Harvey Price, she has faced a lot of backlash over the years.

In 2016, she opened up about the criticism on Loose Women. She told them: “When I was pregnant with Harvey, I did go out. I was single, I was going out. But they would get pictures of me coming out of the club looking drunk, even though I was driving.

“So with Harvey I was really good – I could still go out. I had lots of speculation with his problems. And I was blamed for my partying. But I wasn’t drinking at all.”

Further casting for the TV reboot of Harry Potter has been unveiled this week. Producers have announced who will be playing the title character in the HBO series, with Dominic McLaughlin following in the footsteps of Daniel Radcliffe.

Daniel, now 35, rose to fame playing Harry Potter in the film series of the same name. The actor starred in all eight films, from the Philosopher’s Stone to the Deathly Hallows – Part 2, which were released in 2001 and 2011 respectively.

It was announced earlier today that Dominic will play the literary character on-screen next, with him starring in the TV reboot. The news comes following an open casting call last year for actors aged between 9 and 11 in April this year.

Dominic has been described as a “screen newcomer” but the adaptation of the J. K. Rowling novels isn’t the only upcoming project that he’s set to appear in. The Mirror has taken a look at his casting and career following the news, including how his role as Harry Potter will bring a reunion.

Earlier today it was announced that Dominic had been cast in the role of Harry Potter in the HBO Max series. It came alongside the news that Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout will play Hermione Granger and as Ron Weasley respectively.

Showrunner Francesca Gardiner and fellow executive producer Mark Mylod said: “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione, and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.”

They added in a statement that accompanied the casting news earlier: “We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”

The show has been described as a “faithful adaptation” of the book series by J.K. Rowling, who’s an executive producer. It’s been teased that the cast will “lead a new generation of fandom, full of the fantastic detail and much-loved characters Harry Potter fans have adored for over 25 years”.

It was previously revealed that John Lithgow, Janet McTeer and Paapa Essiedu will portray Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall and Severus Snape respectively. They will serve as series regulars alongside Nick Frost, who has been cast as Rubeus Hagrid in the upcoming show.

Other cast members include Luke Thallon as Quirinus Quirrell. It has also been announced already that Paul Whitehouse will portray Argus Filch in the TV adaptation.

Dominic has already worked on a project with co-star Nick, with their roles as Harry and Hagrid marking a reunion for the two actors. They are also among the cast of the Sky Original film Grow, which is set to be released later this year.

It’s been teased that the film, which is set in a world of pumpkin rivalry, is a “comedy all about family, growth and nurturing”. It centres around a “cutthroat giant-pumpkin-growing contest where the entire town gets their pumpkin patches ready to compete for a cash prize and pumpkin glory”.

The cast is led by Bridgerton’s Golda Rosheuvel and Priya-Rose Brookwell as pumpkin farmer Dinah Little and her niece Charlie Little. Dinah’s farm hosts the contest and Charlie is among those who take part in the event, though she faces sabotage in her attempt to win the coveted prize.

Nick will appear as eco-loving pumpkin pundit Arlo, whilst, according to IMDb, Dominic plays Oliver Gregory. The cast also includes Jeremy Swift, Kathryn Drysdale, Alan Carr and Joe Wilkinson.

Dominic is also set to star in the upcoming BBC series Gifted, which is adapted from Marilyn Kaye’s novels of the same name. He will play the character of Martin, with his co-stars in the show including Jessica Hardwick as Madame.

Set in Edinburgh, the show “tells the story of a diverse group of young Scottish teens who discover they each have unique superpowers”. Their abilities are said to range from telekinesis to invisibility and mind reading.

It’s been teased that the group must join forces to protect themselves when they are targeted by an organisation known as the Bodkin. Guided by their teacher Madame, they embark on a journey to learn about their powers.

It was announced last year that the show was already in production. At the time, it was stated that Gifted is set to premiere on BBC iPlayer “at the end of 2025”.

Katie Price has gushed over Harvey as he celebrates his 23rd birthday. The former model shares Harvey, who has become a social media star in his own right with former footballer Dwight Yorke – but he has had a strained relationship with his son over the course of his life.

Taking to social media, Katie celebrated Harvey’s birthday by sharing a string of throwback snaps with him over the years as she honoured her eldest child. One image showed Katie, 47, cuddling Harvey as they relaxed in bed, as Harvey planted a kiss on his mother’s cheek.

“Forever love with my son @officialmrharveyprice,” Katie captioned her sweet post. Another image taken at the same time gave fans another angle of Katie and Harvey as they relaxed together.

Katie was seen wearing her pyjamas as Harvey lay shirtless next to his doting mother. “Bank holiday cuddles before lots of celebrations tomorrow,” Katie added. Meanwhile, over on her Instagram Grid, Katie shared a throwback of herself and Harvey while sitting on the This Morning sofa in 2015.

“Can’t believe Harvey’s turning 23 tomorrow,” she said as fans rushed to the comment section. RuPaul’s Drag Race icon Baga Chipz gushed: “Happy Birthday Harvey.” One fan penned: “Happy Birthday Katie to your beautiful boy! He’s such a special lad so handsome so funny.”

She previously disclosed that Harvey, who is blind, has a learning disability, as well as septo-optic dysplasia and Prader-Willi syndrome. Katie has also spoken openly about how Harvey is always hungry, which is a symptom of his condition.

At one point, Harvey weighed around 30 stone, leaving Katie fearing for the 23-year-old due to being at risk of a heart attack. Speaking candidly on The Katie Price Show, her podcast co-hosted with sister Sophie, the mum-of-five didn’t hold back about the reality of their situation. “He’s just under 30st and that’s huge,” Katie said.

“He’s on the verge of a heart attack. He won’t have a long life if he carries on putting more and more weight on.” She explained that she was now working with medical professionals to help aid the situation.

She said: “That’s obviously a massive worry for me, but we’e doing something about it with the doctors,” explaining that he is waiting to begin Mounjaro, which is a type of medication to assist weight loss.

But Harvey’s complex medical needs and existing prescriptions have made it difficult to move forward swiftly. “Because of his complex needs and medications he’s on, things aren’t as easy,” Katie admitted.
