ITV The Chase’s Mark Labbett says ‘I’m really lucky’ as he gives health update

The Chase’s Mark Labbett appeared on Loose Women and shared a candid health update live on-air

The Chase favourite Mark Labbett opened up about his health as he celebrated reaching a major personal landmark.

The popular quizmaster, dubbed ‘The Beast’, recently hit 60 and revealed his wellbeing remains his top concern.

He’s won praise for his remarkable weight loss following his diabetes diagnosis in 2017. Mark featured on Wednesday’s (October 8) instalment of ITV’s popular talk show Loose Women with hosts Ruth Langsford, Denise Welch, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore.

During his appearance, the star confessed “I’m really lucky” whilst discussing his health after reaching 60, reports Bristol Live.

Ruth enquired: “I have to say, you turned the big 60. How did you feel about hitting that milestone?”

In a frank exchange, Mark responded: “I look at it slightly differently, especially for people who play a lot of sports because by now they’re struggling. They’re permanently in pain, they need pain killers to get out of bed with the damage they have done.”

The star confessed: “I’m really lucky, I look at it this way, I’ve got my weight in check at the moment. Obviously the diabetes, but that is on me because of my diet. Apart from a touch of arthritis, if that’s the only thing I’ve got at 60 I’ll take that.”

Eager to discover more about his stunning weight loss, Jane asked: “I know you lost weight the hard way but do you get a lot of people saying ‘Ozempic?’”

Mark responded: “The do and the answer to that is, if my doctor prescribed it then I would take it. Don’t forget, it is designed for overweight diabetics.” Jane further asked: “But you did it the hard way, right?”

Mark confirmed: “Yeah. I’m really lucky. I don’t know what it was but it was probably Covid, even though I didn’t get tested at the time because it was the early days of the pandemic.”

He added: “I just lost my appetite and it just never really came back so thank you because that is what made it earlier for me to do it.”

Discussion then shifted to the quiz star’s romantic life following his recent stint on the latest series of Channel 4 hit reality programme Celebs Go Dating.

Mark disclosed: “Everyone I met was lovely but they all lived a long way away from Yorkshire.” When questioned if he would relocate for romance, he erupted into laughter.

The television personality has been single since ending things with TV presenter Hayley Palmer last year. He also has a son with his second cousin Katie, whom he wed in 2014 before parting ways in 2020.

EXCLUSIVE: Ruth Langsford saw different side to Strictly’s Anton Du Beke after ‘bursting into tears’

Ruth Langsford has disclosed that whilst her former dance partner Anton Du Beke may appear to be “a laugh”, there’s another side to his character that Strictly Come Dancing fans might not recognise.

In an exclusive chat, the former This Morning presenter confessed that she frequently felt “really rubbish” backstage, as she measured herself against other competitors, including Debbie McGee and Gemma Atkinson, who had advanced to become “so good” on the dance floor.

Luckily, Ruth had the backing of Strictly professional-turned-judge Anton, who provided a shoulder to lean on during her difficult moments, describing their bond as “the best thing” to emerge from her time on the BBC programme.

The Loose Women host revealed: “I always want people to know that, Anton’s such a laugh – he’s laugh, laugh, laugh – but he’s the kindest man.”

Ruth added: “I was always bursting into tears as the show went on, because it gets hard and everyone’s so good, and then I would feel really rubbish because I would think, ‘I can’t do it’. And he’d go, ‘you’re fine’.”

“I felt like I was letting him down, but he never criticised me, he was just fun, and in fact, sometimes we’d do a step and he’d say, ‘that’s good’ and I’d go, ‘oh thanks’ and he’d say, ‘it’s not what I taught you, but it’s good!’ And he just made me laugh!”.

Ruth proceeded to disclose that Anton possessed the ideal technique to soothe her nerves when things weren’t working out in the rehearsal studio.

She remembered: “If he ever said, ‘no, no, because we’re supposed to be going right’, and then he’d look at me, and my bottom lip would start to tremble, and I’m about to cry, he’d be like, ‘right, come on, cup of tea!’ Honestly, the nicest man.”

Nevertheless, Anton’s elevation on Strictly means he won’t be able to take part in the competition anymore, which Ruth believes is the sole drawback, as she would be keen to “have another go” with her mate alongside her.

She declared: “Let me have another go with Anton! I can’t now, because he’s a judge.

“I’m so delighted he’s a judge, he’s a very good judge, but I always say to him, ‘I think they should let you have another go, I think I’d be better at it!’”.

Ruth just missed out on reaching Blackpool with Anton in 2017, after facing the feared dance-off against Jonnie Peacock and Oti Mabuse, whilst Joe McFadden and Katya Jones ultimately claimed the Glitterball Trophy that year.

Coleen Nolan feels ‘like an 18-year-old’ in candid love life update

Loose Women legend Coleen Nolan has said that she she feels “like an 18-year-old” as she provided a candid love life update on Tuesday’s edition of the ITV lunchtime chat show

Coleen Nolan has said that she she feels “like an 18-year-old” as she provided a candid love life update on Tuesday’s edition of Loose Women. The TV star, 60, recently parted ways with boyfriend Michael Jones and then just days ago she admitted that she had a ‘brief romance’ with somebody but has now made an even more frank admission.

The former Nolans singer joined anchor Ruth Langsford, and fellow panellists Dame Kelly Holmes and Nadia Sawalha where they were discussing the impact of the menopause. It was then that Coleen revealed that feels like a teenager all over again and is noticing attractive men who walk past her in the street.

She said: “There’s something happening girls and you have to help me here. My hormones have gone through the roof, I’m like an 18 year old on heat!

“I’m not even joking, [my daughter] Ciara put in the family chat ‘I don’t know what’s up with mum, but she’s on heat. She’s flirting with the guy in the lift!’ We were in the lift and there was this very attractive man in there. I just couldn’t help myself but have a flirt.

“I thought ‘Is this the menopause?!’ because most of my friends lost their libio and it became the last thing on their minds.” But then Nadia chipped in with the suggestion that Coleen might in fact have ‘high levels of testosterone’ and that is the reason she is now noticing men a lot more. But Coleen wondered if this meant she was actually ‘turning’ into man.

The former Dancing On Ice contestant joked: “It’s taking over my life, a guy walks down the street and I go ‘He’s nice’ and I check if he’s got a wedding ring on.” She noted that there was an incident at work the other day where she had been to a business meeting, and the only thing she came away with was that he was divorced and she had giggled her way through the business meeting.

It was then that Ruth warned the men in the live studio audience to ‘watch out’ since Coleen was clearly in pursuit of a man.

Later on, when the panellists were discussing long marriages, Coleen quipped: “I’m just looking for someone for six minutes!” Despite her open nature today, Coleen recently had a chat with Christine Lampard on the Loose Women podcast, and she was initially quite coy when speaking about the latest updates in her personal life.

She said: “There’s nothing to report. I had a slight romance with somebody.” Christine interjected and asked whether it was just a “fling”, to which Coleen replied: “Yeah, a bit of a fling, and it was lovely, but it wasn’t the right person.”

Shedding further light on her dating life, Coleen joked that there was little chance of her finding love again anytime soon, adding: “At this point, I think I’ve probably (got) more chance with going on a date with one of the goats.”

Coleen has been married twice before her relationship with Michael Jones. The singer’s first marriage was to EastEnders legend Shane Richie, which lasting nine years after they tied the knot in 1990. They share two sons, Jake and Shane.

Following their split, she later found love again with actor Ray Fensome whom she had one daughter with before they called an end to their marriage in 2018.

At 75, King Charles Finally Breaks Silence and Confirms the Dark Secret That Has Haunted the British Monarchy for Decades

King Charles III, now 75, has finally confirmed a secret surrounding the British monarchy that has long been whispered but never openly acknowledged. This moving confession offers fresh insight into the trials and tribulations that have shaped both his reign and the legacy of the royal family.

At 75, Charles Finally Confirms the Secret That's Haunted the Monarchy for Years! - YouTube

For decades, the monarchy has been shadowed by rumors and unspoken truths about key moments in its modern history, especially regarding King Charles’s complex relationship with Princess Diana, his late wife. The secret Charles now confirms centers on the emotional and psychological toll these relationships took on him, and how they influenced his duties and personal life.

According to newly revealed statements amidst his ongoing battle with cancer, Charles admitted to the profound guilt and sorrow he has harbored since Diana’s tragic death in 1997. He opened up about his struggles to reconcile public duty with private heartbreak, which for years were concealed beneath royal decorum. This candid disclosure is the first time Charles has publicly addressed these inner conflicts in such depth, breaking from the traditional royal reticence.

At 76, King Charles Finally Opens Up About Princess Diana... Try Not To Gasp - YouTube

More poignantly, Charles touched upon the persistent and painful rumors surrounding the discord within the family—particularly the divisions involving his sons Prince William and Prince Harry. He acknowledged the strain of these conflicts and expressed a desire for healing and unity, albeit tempered with the realistic acknowledgment that some wounds may never fully heal.

King Charles also clarified his position on the future of the monarchy, affirming Prince William’s clear succession as the next king, and subtly signaling a distancing from the ongoing controversies surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. This sets a significant tone for the monarchy’s path forward, centered around stability and tradition amidst change.

Insiders describe this admission as a deliberate effort by Charles to take control of the narrative and secure his legacy. Amid declining health and mounting pressures, the King’s openness offers a humanizing perspective of a royal under immense scrutiny, balancing the weight of the crown with personal regret and hope.

Public and media response to this revelation has been overwhelmingly moved, with many expressing newfound empathy and a deeper understanding of the man behind the crown. It marks a turning point in royal transparency and invites reflection on the challenges of maintaining tradition in a modern, ever-watchful world.

Lou Teasdale touched up her difficult relationship with Caroline Flack’s mum, Christine, as she opened up about her best friend’s suicide.

The Love Island host died by suicide on February 15 2020 aged 40, and Lou has sat down for an in-depth interview discussing the heartbreaking situation.

Following Caroline’s tragic death, her mum Christine has questioned why her pals Lou and Mollie Grosberg left her alone in her flat on the night she took her own life. The celebrity hair stylist, who is mum to daughter Lux, was the last person to see the TV presenter alive.

During a candid conversation with Paul C Brunson on his podcast, she was asked whether the rumours of Christine and her falling out were true.

Lou said: “So, my sister and I are really close with with Jody, her twin sister. I actually saw her at Glastonbury and hopefully we’ll stay in touch forever. Obviously, we were together on that day and she knows who we are and where we are.

“And I think what’s really hard with with parents, it does cause conflict because it’s the worst case scenario for anybody for that to happen to your child and all you’re going to do is think whose fault is it, which I understand.”

She added on the We Need To Talk podcast: “A lot of fingers get pointed at partners – that’s happened a few times that I’ve known about as well. For me, where I sat in the Caroline situation was I know what happened, I was there, I know what I’m comfortable with.

“I personally just don’t blame anybody and I panic about blame because it creates again another vulnerable person who has to take that on their shoulders and the trauma of that for the rest of their lives – especially publicly.

“Without going into anything private, I’ve basically tried my best to stay away from any conversations about who was in the wrong or whatever and I think that in this situation, people come together and do that as a way of trying to fight it and deal with it as part of the grief process. But I had a relationship with everybody in that situation which became impossible really.”

During the conversation, she was asked if she has been able to “properly grieve” Caroline, and Lou admitted: “No because I think suicide is a really hard death for people to grieve because it is filled with so many emotions.”

Recalling her final moments with the TV star, Lou shared: “The night before, she had attempted. So, the paramedics had sort of given a big talk to get her through the night.

“I always felt that I needed to get her through the night then I would go home to my daughter and she’d be alright in the day. I was never that worried in the daytime. I was too panicky in the night to leave her.”

10 MINUTES AGO! Princess Anne Finally Reveals Late Queen’s Secret Decree: Princess Catherine’s NEW ROLE Stuns the King and Queen Consort

Princess Anne and Princess Catherine prepare for spirited Rugby clash this weekend

The British monarchy, steeped in tradition, occasionally faces moments that reshape its future. In a stunning revelation, Princess Anne, the Princess Royal, has disclosed a previously hidden decree from her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, outlining a transformative role for Princess Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales. This announcement, described by palace insiders as both emotional and groundbreaking, has left King Charles III deeply moved and signals a new chapter for the royal family.

A Special Bond Between Queen and Princess
    Kate Middleton’s Greatest Style Moments

From the moment Kate Middleton joined the royal family, Queen Elizabeth II recognized her unique qualities. Beyond her grace and ability to navigate public scrutiny, Kate’s quiet resilience, dedication to family, and intuitive sense of duty stood out. Their bond was evident in shared moments, such as a 2019 visit to King’s College London, where the Queen’s ease and warmth with Kate revealed a deep trust. These interactions were not mere formalities but signs of the Queen’s belief in Kate as a future steward of the monarchy, capable of blending tradition with modernity.

    The Decree Revealed

Princess Anne, known for her discretion and role as a trusted confidante, chose to unveil the Queen’s decree at a pivotal moment. Written in the final years of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign, the decree is a personal and visionary document, penned in her own hand. It outlines an expanded role for Kate, emphasizing her as a unifying figure for the Commonwealth and a mentor to younger royals. The decree grants Kate significant authority to lead initiatives in areas like early childhood development and mental health advocacy, while also urging her to collaborate closely with King Charles to ensure the monarchy’s relevance in a changing world.

What sets this decree apart is its intimate tone. A quoted line reads, “Catherine, you are the heart of this family’s future. Lead with courage, as I know you will.” For Kate, reading these words was a profoundly emotional experience, reinforcing the Queen’s faith in her. For King Charles, the decree was both a source of pride and a reminder of the weighty responsibilities now placed on his daughter-in-law.

    King Charles’s Reaction

King Charles III has always shared a warm relationship with Kate, often praising her resilience and commitment. However, the scope of the decree caught him off guard. Palace sources describe him as “stunned” by the extent of his mother’s vision for Kate, particularly as he navigates his own challenges, including a cancer diagnosis in 2024. The decree positions Kate as a central figure in securing the monarchy’s future, easing some of the burden on Charles while elevating expectations for her leadership.

Royal biographer Sally Bedell Smith commented, “This decree elevates Kate to a position of unparalleled influence, a testament to the Queen’s foresight and Kate’s proven capability. If anyone is ready for this, it’s her.”

    Kate’s Rising Influence

Since announcing her cancer remission in January 2025, Kate has returned to public life with renewed energy. Her appearances at events like the VE Day commemorations and Commonwealth Day services have showcased her grace and authenticity, strengthening her connection with the public. At the VE Day concert on May 8, 2025, Kate’s elegant presence and warm interactions with veterans highlighted her quiet confidence, aligning perfectly with the decree’s vision of her leadership.

Kate’s work, particularly with her Early Years campaign, has been praised for its innovative approach to child development, reflecting the forward-thinking role the Queen envisioned. Yet, Kate remains grounded, balancing her royal duties with motherhood to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. Her ability to connect authentically, as seen during the 2023 Chelsea Flower Show where she engaged with children about nature, underscores why the Queen saw her as a vital asset.

Princess Anne’s Role and the Monarchy’s Future

Princess Anne’s decision to share the decree reflects her role as the keeper of her mother’s legacy. Her recent comments during an engagement in Turkey, praising the royal family’s resilience, subtly acknowledged the challenges they face and the strength they draw from one another. The decree not only elevates Kate but also aligns with King Charles’s goal of a streamlined, modern monarchy. It positions Kate as a key partner to Prince William, preparing them to shape the monarchy’s next era.

    Public and Royal Support

The public has responded enthusiastically, with social media buzzing with praise for Kate’s readiness to embrace this role. Prince William, her steadfast supporter, has highlighted her strength during joint appearances, such as the VE Day Tea Party, where they honored veterans alongside their children. Princess Charlotte’s growing poise has also drawn comparisons to both Kate and the late Queen, hinting at the family’s enduring legacy.

For King Charles, the decree is a call to action, reinforcing his mother’s vision and his own responsibility to guide the monarchy forward. While initially overwhelming, sources say he now welcomes the chance to work closely with Kate, leveraging her energy and insight to strengthen the royal family’s future.

As Kate steps into this historic role, the monarchy stands at a turning point, guided by the late Queen’s wisdom and Kate’s unwavering commitment to duty.

Alan, 42, has played mechanic Tyrone Dobbs for 26 years. He took part on the most recent series of I’m A Celebrity, finishing sixth place.

Corrie fans have loved tuning in to their 22-year on-off relationship, willing them to live happily ever after. The childhood sweethearts came close to marrying in 2015 when he proposed on Christmas Day. But when Tyrone’s debts came to light, the wedding was shelved.

The couple broke up in 2021, when he cheated on her with beautician Alina. But then finally tied the knot the following year.

Fiz married serial killer John Stape (Graeme Hawley) in prison in 2009 and tied the knot with Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) this year, only to dump him for Tyrone on her wedding night.

Tyrone has had two trips down the aisle, with Molly Compton (Vicky Binns) in 2009, and he made it as far as the church with abusive Kirsty Soames (Natalie Gumede) before dumping her.

Former glamour model Danielle Lloyd has shared an emotional update following her cancer diagnosis.

In February, the former Celebrity Big Brother star revealed she had skin cancer after she underwent surgery to get a mole removed in December.

Danielle, 41, then had to have another operation in February to remove the surrounding tissue to check if the cancer had spread. After waiting eight long weeks for an update, she received the all clear.

However, she was told there was a mistake made, which resulted in Danielle reaching breaking point.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Danielle revealed that the day after she had been given the all clear, she received a phone call explaining that there had been an error made.

“They said they hadn’t had all the results back and I would have to wait longer,” Danielle said.

She insisted she was a “mess”, adding: “It was so scary and I was also really angry. I just felt like screaming. All I’ve done for the past few months is cry.”

However, after worrying relentlessly, she was finally told she no longer had cancer. “I just burst into tears, then just got on the phone to everyone – my parents, Michael, my friends – to tell them the good news,” she said.

Danielle was relieved that “it was finally over” and that she could “get on with my life”.

Coleen Nolan ‘can’t sleep at night’ over horrific Madeleine McCann documentary airing tonight

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan has revealed that she “can’t sleep at night” after seeing details of cases like Madeleine McCann’s disappearance as the show discussed a new documentary

Coleen Nolan has admitted that she’s being caused so “much stress” by seeing details on social media of horrific cases like that of Madeleine McCann’s disappearance ahead of a new documentary tonight.

Speaking about whether the public need to know about the investigation into suspect Christian Brueckner looked at in detail in Madeleine McCann: The Unseen Evidence, Coleen told Loose Women: “My thing is I think we all have this morbid curiosity and I’m including myself in that. But over the last few months, I’ve realised how much stress it’s causing me to the point where sometimes I can’t sleep at night because I don’t need actually to know all those details.

It stays in my mind. Whether it’s about this case or anything – awful things on social media that I go to scroll past but then something else comes up but you’ve seen it.”

Coleen added that since the introduction of police officer bodycam, the footage has “become a reality show on social media”. She said: “We’re seeing every single awful thing that happens whether it’s this country or around the world. I just think we’re being overloaded with things that are out of our control.

“No wonder people have serious mental health issues because we’re being bombarded with so much negative, awful information.

“No wonder we don’t let our children go two foot out of our sight in a children’s play area because we think, ‘But that video I saw last week on social media.’ Everyone is becoming so paranoid about life in general. Life’s too short.”

Tonight’s documentary, which is airing on Channel 4, looks into a year-long investigation by Sun journalist Rob Pattinson into new evidence around Madeleine’s disappearance. The film is believed to highlight Brueckner’s alleged obsession with young children. Brueckner has denied any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance.

Earlier today, it was reportedly that police investigating the child’s disappearance from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in 2007 after remaining tight-lipped about a hard drive of images found at the home of prime suspect Brueckner.

The pictures are said to be part of new evidence that will be revealed in tonight’s documentary after German police searched Bruckner’s home and reportedly found children’s clothes and guns.

He then had big news to share with his followers. Alongside a picture of him outside a BBC building, he wrote: “There’s a few exciting things going off!! BUT one thing I can tell you for now, is that I’m joining the team at BBC Radio Leeds this summer!!! Catch ya on the wireless in Yorkshire!!”

Colson is no stranger to speaking to a mic, as he fronts the On The Sofa with Colson, Jack and Ben podcast alongside cast mates and besties, Jack P. Shepherd and Ben Price who play David Platt and Nick Tilsley in the long running ITV soap.

Fans were overjoyed at the news, as they took to the comments to congratulate the star. “Go Colson!” exclaimed one fan, while another excited follower penned: “That’s exciting ekkk!”

A third devastated Corrie fan penned: “The last few episodes have been amazing. So sad you’re gone!! Wishing you all the best and look forward to watching your next journey.”

Earlier this week, Colson joined Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on the This Morning sofa to chat about his exit, where he spoke about the “hard” moment he learnt he’d been given the axe.

Recalling his meeting with producer Kate Brooks, the star said: “Getting told is hard, hearing the words – I tried really hard not to put the words into her mouth. As soon as I knew, I was at peace with what was going on.” Despite asking to be killed off from the soap, Colson has also revealed he had no idea how brutal it would be.”

Although some actors would be gutted to hear their character was going to be killed off, Colson said if there was a way he wanted to go, that would be it.

“For me to go, I would want to leave. I would want to die, I would want the door to be shut, so then I can kind of know in my head that Corrie has been this, Corrie has done that, and it is now done, and Craig’s journey is over,” he told Ben and Cat.
