Stacey Solomon was “so excited” on Monday after receiving an unexpected gift from David Beckham, accompanied by a lovely handwritten note.

The Loose Women star, 35, had earlier sent Beckham a “cringe” Instagram voice note asking for beekeeping advice, after deciding to start her own hive at home. However, she had feared he would ignore it but was delighted to discover he had responded.

“I’ve been sent a parcel from… the Beckhams. How sweet that he actually replied to an Instagram!” Stacey shared on her Instagram story. And inside the package was a card from David that read: “To Stacey and Joe, I hope you enjoy the honey and snacks. Lots of love, David Beckham.”

Overjoyed, Stacey told her followers: “I’ve got David Beckham’s autograph! What a time to be alive! They’re obviously funny. This is the best thing ever! Thanks David we love you.”

Stacey then revealed that sister Gemma encouraged her to reach out and explained the voice note: “I’m getting a beehive and I know you and Victoria have got bees and they’re a big part of your life, so I just wondered if you had any top tips or advice.”

Cringing as she sent it, she admitted: “I’m already regretting sending you this message because I know you’ll never see it, or hear it, and if you do you’ll probably think I’m a weirdo.”

Later, she told Gemma: “I’m going to be blacklisted from all cool things now because I’ve just sent David Beckham the most loser-ish message.”

Her husband Joe joked about the situation as he said: “Damn right he didn’t reply, he better not either. Hands off mate.

“I don’t need David Beckham as competition! It’s the last thing I need. I’ve got dogs, ducks, the last thing I need is David Beckham,” he added.

Former football ace Beckham manages bees at his £12 million Cotswolds estate and has turned the hobby into a business.

He launched BEEUP, a honey-based children’s snack brand sold in Target stores across the US.

Of his business, he said: “Beekeeping began as a hobby with my sons, but quickly grew into a deep appreciation for honey as a powerful superfood that provides natural energy.

“I am excited to make this wholesome, nutritious ingredient available for active kids and families in the form of these incredible BEEUP snacks.” And his wife Victoria affectionately calls the hobby “David’s Sticky Stuff.”

Meanwhile, Stacey has returned to the BBC with Stacey & Joe, a fly-on-the-wall series following life at Pickle Cottage with Joe and their five children.

Molly-Mae Hague has poked fun at her daughter Bambi’s plans to bite friends following a viral moment. September saw Bambi appear on the Love Island star’s YouTube channel where she listed the names of her friends that she planned on biting.

Since then Molly-Mae has uploaded a new video where she spoke about the incident once again. Speaking to the camera, she said that she was happy that “the internet is able to laugh with me” over Bambi’s biting wishes.

She revealed that she had been sent a package from Heinz beans after the moment as Molly said: “Whoever did this in the Heinz beans team, you need a raise!

    The first video went viral

“In the post from Heinz, I received Emily’s beans, Bambi’s beans and Dory’s beans… if you know, you know. I’m not going to say too much about that.”

Molly then went on to clarify that it was actually “Story” that was said instead of “Dory”, the mum-of-one added: “I love that people think it’s Dory, but it’s actually ‘Story’ – that’s who she was talking about. It’s not acceptable but it was ‘Story’.

“Either way it’s not ok and either way I don’t condone it but I was happy the internet was able to laugh with me about something for once and didn’t mum-shame me too much.”

In the iconic clip Bambi said: “I’m gonna bite someone. I’m gonna bite Dory.” Molly-Mae then tells her daughter that she shouldn’t be biting anyone, replying: “No, we don’t use our mouth to bite do we? What do you use your mouth for?”

The pair then spoke about how they should only be using their mouths “for food”. However, it maybe didn’t quite go through for Bambi as she then carried on: “We bite…Emily. We bite… Dory.”

Some fans labelled Molly as being “too soft” on Bambi after the conversation. One follower commented: “She turns it into a game…. Molly is too soft,” while another added: “Molly needs to learn how to change her tone and face when she’s being serious.”

However, some people also saw the funny side of the moment and pointed out how clever Bambi is. A fan said: “Cracking up… I know u were trying to keep from laughing seeming as this was an issue w/ Bambi before, I was hollering, she’s so stinkin’ smart.”

“The switch up to the biting sent me. Bambi is low-key key all of us. And so precious!,” a second added. Last month, Molly-Mae admitted Bambi bit someone at nursery, but felt “slightly better” after learning “all the children seem at the minute to be biting one another.”

She said: “One of my good friends, her daughter, is in the same class. And her daughter has been bitten like every day this week. It’s really, really sad, it’s horrible.

“It’s so confusing, because if we talk to her about it when we put her in the car, are we giving her the attention that she wants from the biting? But 100 per cent, if I was watching this video right now I’d be thinking no, you need to tell her it’s not okay. Because it’s not okay.”

  • Big Brother’s George admits vile ‘Hitler’ comments led to sudden removal from house

Big Brother’s George admits vile ‘Hitler’ comments led to sudden removal from house

George Gilbert has broken his silence on his YouTube channel about being removed from the Big Brother house for his repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour

Big Brother contestant George Gilbert has revealed the real reason he was removed from the house following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour.

The parish councillor, 23, was given a formal warning by Big Brother during Monday night’s episode after he made a fellow housemate cry by apparently mocking them. George has now opened up about the situation on his Youtube channel.

Appearing on screen from his home, George told viewers: “Well here we are. I didn’t want to be making this video. I didn’t think I would have to make this video. But the people want to know what it was that I said to get booted out of the Big Brother house.

“It’s a real shame because I was thoroughly enjoying myself and I’m gutted that it has ended like this,” he added. “I got on so well with the crew and the other housemates. They all loved me and I’m not even joking, they genuinely did.”

George went on: “We had some great times, great conversations, and great debates and we did it passively. We agreed to disagree. So I was absolutely gutted when I was told I was being kicked out, but here we are.”

Big Brother's George shares truth behind sudden axe in bombshell confession

The Big Brother star star went on to add that he went on the show in the hopes of ‘spreading his beliefs’ and garnering more fans for his YouTube channel, which he hopes to make his full time career.

“They brand Big Brother as a social experiment where you can discuss things and be on a political spectrum. I wanted to meet new people and people who would challenge my beliefs and maybe help me learn something about myself and see if they could change my mind about some of my beliefs,” George added.

“I thought by going into the house and spreading what I believe as the truth that it would not only help me cement my views if they are right, or it would help other people see a different side of the story.”

However, it was George’s views that got him kicked out of the Big Brother house in the end as he admitted that he pushed the boundaries far too much.

George said he was ‘distraught’ after getting a verbal warning on the first night in the house. George told his housemates that he “doesn’t believe that anyone is intrinsically good or evil” and went on to use the most extreme example of Adolf Hitler.

Addressing his first verbal warning from Big Brother, George admitted that he said: “Hitler did the things that he did because he would have been fed a pack of lies about Jewish people and that’s why he did the things he did. He thought he was doing good for Germany. He thought Jews were to blame for all of Germany’s troubles. Hitler was misguided.”

George added that he received a second complaint from Big Brother on day three when he expressed an offensive reason for not wanting to have a child with a Black woman.

Of his second formal complaint from Big Brother, George said: “I like touching the boundaries and maybe I’m in the wrong but what I said was, as a ginger with blue eyes – I’m like the rarest form of human on earth – because red hair is recessive and not a dominant gene.”

In the end, it was George’s hurtful and homophobic comments about fellow housemate Sam that got him removed from the house. “I said in the diary room after Sam was crying about what I said that ‘if you can’t take the heat then get out of the Big Brother house’. So that was it.”

    Image:
@georgegilbertig/Instagram)A Big Brother spokesperson said at the time of his exit: “Following repeated use of unacceptable language and behaviour, George has been removed from the Big Brother House with immediate effect and will no longer participate in the programme.”

George’s comments did not air due to them being contrary to broadcasting standards. It has also been reported that George was given several warnings before the latest incident, most of which were not broadcast as the language was also contrary to broadcasting standards.

One example of such language, however, was seen during Monday’s episode. While in the diary room, housemate Sam reflected on comments George had made about him during a game of truth or dare where he had to tell each housemate their worst quality.

George told Sam he was “too” and he then appeared to mock Sam’s voice and body language by waving a limp wrist. Sam told Big Brother: “I think with the whole George situation, basically, I think it all just came to a bit of a head about the kind of impression that he did of me, or whatever.

“It was him doing it, mocking me as if I have some kind of like disability or something, which is just like rude anyway, and then all the boys kind of laughing. It just kind of felt like I was back in school, I think. And it just kind of brought all that back in that moment.”

Becoming emotional, he added: “It’s just so annoying, because I’ve really overcome a lot to become who I am, and I don’t want this comment to seep in and have an effect on me.”

George later told Sam: “The last thing I want to do is make someone feel s**t about themselves.” Later in the diary room, Big Brother told George: “Big Brother thinks that your language and behaviour was unacceptable and could cause offence, and is therefore issuing you with a warning.”

George also caused offence when, during a conversation about homelessness, he said people “know drugs are bad” and should “stop deflecting responsibility”. While the housemates were asleep, George was called to go into the Diary Room where he was told he would no longer be a contestant on the show.

The Big Brother contestant was then told by viewers to “grow up” after sharing his first post since being axed from the show. Now back at home, George took to his social media to share a post but it hasn’t gone down well with his followers.

The specific incident which caused George to be removed from the show but he had already received a warning from bosses due to his “inappropriate behaviour and language”.

George has now shared a video to his Instagram page where he discusses being kicked off the programme. The Big Brother contestant can be seen sitting barefoot in his garden with an open book across his face. He leans towards the camera and says: “I was asking questions. I just want to know the truth. You know?”

He then walks away from the camera and wrote in the caption: “The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing,” which is a quote from Albert Einstein.

However, many viewers didn’t like George’s video, with many taking to the comments to share their opinions. Singer Sean Chriscole wrote: “You broke broadcast standards, I’ve read them. I know what they are, you know what they are. They’re dead easy to follow.

“I’ve seen contracts for Netflix and ITV and BBC as an actor myself. You have to say some stupid s**t to get sacked/contract terminated. Yet your [sic] brush it off as ‘I was just asking questions.’ Do some self reflection and grow up.”

Another said: “I just wanna know what you said that was soo bad,” while a third commented: “Just tell us what you said. We all want to know.”

George had plenty of controversial opinions during his time in the Big Brother house. He shared his views on homelessness, saying that homeless people should take responsibility for their financial situations. He then went on to say that most people who shoplift are driven by greed instead of desperation.

Friday’s eviction will continue as planned, the details of which will be explained during Wednesday’s episode of Big Brother: Late And Live.

Jilly Cooper’s death this month devastated fans around the world earlier this month. Dame Jilly was known as the queen of the bonkbuster and sold over 10 million books, including the famous Rivals and Riders, in the UK alone. Jilly’s bereft children, Felix and Emily, issued a statement to confirm the news.

They said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dame Jilly Cooper, DBE who died on Sunday morning, after a fall, at the age of 88.” Her family went on to say: “Mum, was the shining light in all of our lives. Her love for all of her family and friends knew no bounds. Her unexpected death has come as a complete shock.

“We are so proud of everything she achieved in her life and can’t begin to imagine life without her infectious smile and laughter all around us.”

Last year, Jilly’s novels became popular again when Rivals was released on Disney+ for fans to enjoy.

Rivals was the big hit of 2024, and starred EastEnders legend Danny Dyer as well as actress Emily Atack. On its launch day, two million viewers tuned in and it has been renewed for a second series.

It was based on the 1988 novel of the same name, which was the second in the Rutshire Chronicles series. The first series, of eight instalments, has become Disney +’s most successful general entertainment premiere ever, in the UK.

Earlier this year, Jilly said of filming for the second series: “I’m utterly sex-static filming for the second season is upon us. It was magical working on the first season and seeing everyone fall head over heels for my beloved characters.

“I’m delighted to be able to work with them again and for everyone to see what further mischief they all get up to.”

And now, it has been revealed that former EastEnders producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins has the rights to adapt the Rutshire Chronicles – which includes Riders, Polo and The Man Who Made Husbands Jealous.

Dominic and Disney+ were reportedly motivated by Jilly’s family’s response after her death. As reported by The Sun, the family rejected any suggestion that filming on the second series should stop out of respect.

Her family reportedly said: “The show must go on.”

Meanwhile, Disney+ scripted content boss Lee Mason promised that viewers were in for “an absolute treat” with the second run.

EXCLUSIVE: Celebrity Traitors star Paloma Faith ‘threw a wobbly’ after being first to be murdered

Singer Paloma Faith was ‘fuming’ after finding out her close pal Alan Carr was responsible for sealing her fate, along with fellow Traitors Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross

Paloma Faith “threw a wobbly” over being the first in The Celebrity Traitors to be thrown out the castle, sources have revealed.

Last night viewers saw the singer, 44, have her fate sealed when the lid on her coffin was slammed shut during the mission and she was physically carried out of the game.

But off camera, Paloma was said to have been “fuming” over her murder, especially when she discovered that the three Traitors who’d killed her off were people she felt close to. One source said: “She threw a wobbly afterwards about being the first to go.

“Some players just shrug it off when they leave, but Paloma was fuming when she discovered who had betrayed her. She couldn’t work out what had actually happened, and when she found out the details it only made her feel worse. Paloma is loud and wears her heart on her sleeve – it’s fair to say that she wasn’t happy with going home first.”

Paloma’s fate was sealed as she lay in her coffin – and host Claudia Winkleman slammed it shut(Image: BBC)

As well as being close to comedian Alan Carr, the chart-topper also felt let down by Cat Burns, because she’s on the same record label, and Jonathan Ross, because she has known him for years and appeared on his chat show.

Speaking afterwards, Paloma described the experience as having been “up and down”. She explained: “I found it quite nerve wracking because I knew when I went in that I have a huge personality and that I’d be very visible.

“I knew that I couldn’t fade into the background. I’m the sort of person that lets my feelings about people be known by talking a lot, so it was never an option for me to be able to quietly just simmer under the surface.”

And she quipped: “I don’t think my technique was great in this game, but it works very well in real life.” Saying she’d have made a great Traitor, she added: “I feel like it was a big fashion mistake not to see me in the cloak.”

    Alan Carr

Comedian Alan said that the murder had stretched his acting abilities to the limit – and left him feeling bad(Image: BBC)

Asked who she’d like to see triumph in the game, Paloma snubbed the Traitors, saying: “I’d like to see someone kind and strategic win like Nick Mohammed. He’s proof you can be kind, considerate and clever to play the game well – you don’t have to be evil.”

On last night’s show, viewers saw Alan commit the murder in plain sight by brushing some hair from his pal’s cheek during a chat in the kitchen.

He went for Paloma in the poison pollen plot after she’d told him cosily: “I definitely trust you.” But after the killing, he admitted: “I feel awful. I didn’t know what else to do! I’ve gone and murdered one of my best friends.”

Alan, 49, also told the cameras that carrying out the murder had challenged him: “It was a stretch fo my acting ability – I don’t know how Meryl Streep does it.”

    Claudia WInkleman

    View 4 Images

Claudia was overseeing the mission after riding in to the graveyard on a horse looking like Adam Ant in Stand and Deliver(Image: BBC)

But when Alan spoke of his guilt to fellow Traitors Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns, he was told to “toughen up” after claiming that killing her off “broke my heart”. Wossy insisted: “You’re not a bad person – you’re a good Traitor. I don’t want to hear any more of this broken heart nonsense. We’ve got to start enjoying this.”

Later, there was confusion when all 19 of the group arrived for breakfast. Not realising she was a dead woman walking because of the slow-working poison, Paloma said she felt “happy and relieved” adding: “I thought thank goodness not to be the first one dead.”

And even after Claudia revealed that the Traitors had murdered in plain sight, she had no idea she was the victim, saying: “I had so few interactions yesterday that I don’t feel that I was got.”

During the mission, the group had to try and work out who had actually been murdered. When Paloma found herself lying in a coffin alongside comic Lucy Beaumont and online prankster Niko Omilana, she told the group: “I think it’s me.” Afterwards, Stephen Fry sighed sadly: “Oh Paloma, you were right.”

Weeping during her exit interview, she said: “I thought I wasn’t going to get emotional but I feel really sad. It’s been really a wonderful experience – I wish it had been longer.”

The BBC1 series kicked off with a huge audience of 6.1million and continues next Wednesday, with the result of the first banishment revealed.

Celebrity Traitors’ Alan Carr slammed by Linda over scathing jab as she issues warning

The Traitors Linda Rands, who appeared on the third series of the hit BBC show, reacted to Alan Carr saying he’s ‘worse than Linda’ in the celebrity spin-off series

Former The Traitors star Linda Rands has reacted to Alan Carr’s recent scathing admission that he is a ‘worse’ Traitor than she was.

Linda, who appeared in the third series of the hit BBC show, became a popular figure in her series as her over-the-top reactions and blunders made her a hilarious Traitor. Despite her apparent muck-ups, Linda managed to remain in the show for seven episodes until she was finally banished after being unable to deflect growing suspicion around herself.

She is also well-remembered for having a raising a fellow contestant’s suspicion almost instantly after she was chosen at the first round table as she appeared to respond when Claudia called the Traitors.

Linda issued a stark warning to Alan over his 'mistake'

    View 2 Images

However, as the spin-off show Celebrity Traitors kicked off earlier this week, one star admitted he thought he’d be able to top Linda’s performance – or lack thereof. As, after Alan Carr was selected by Claudia Winkleman to be a Traitor, he made a scathing confession.

Speaking in a confessional, comedian Alan said: “I tried to be like ‘haha’ just laughing as if I’m not a Traitor but oh God… I’m worse than Linda, I am worse than Linda.”

Now, Linda has given her reaction to Alan’s cutting dig at her Traitor skills. Speaking to Ed Gamble and Paloma Faith on The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, she said: “Charming!”

Ed then asked, “Can we rate Alan’s efforts in the murder in plain sight, how did he do?” To which Linda said: “I think it was a mistake and I think he will get his comeuppance. Desperately, because I mean, why already has Clare [Balding] worked it out that, ‘who would be the least likely person for him to get rid of’ so she’s already got her… because you [Paloma and Alan] were already so close… so she’s already got her eye on him and I think that will be his downfall.”

Meanwhile, in a video posted to Instagram, Linda elaborated further on her thoughts on comedian Alan, as she said: “Well I didn’t think anybody could be worse than me so I’m sure he will be fine.

“I thought, ‘cheeky to say that about me!’ I was quite shocked by the fact he brought my name up, that he even knew who I was to be honest. I think he has to be very careful because I’ve got a feeling he might make a slip up.

“On the other hand, he might be just like me. I mean, I managed to get quite far because most people did not believe that I was a Traitor because I was so over the top.” She added: “I mean it could go his way or it could go against him, to be honest.”

The first two episodes of Celebrity Traitors have already got off to a cracking start as we saw Jonathan Ross, Cat Burns and Alan recruited as Traitors. Their first mission was a tricky one as they were tasked with murdering a Faithful in plain sight – as one of them had to find and touch a poisoned lily before touching a Faithful’s face, which would cause them to suffer a “slow death”.

Alan was the Traitor tasked with making the first murder and chose his pal Paloma Faith. After her murder was revealed, the rest of the group took to the roundtable to share their theories on who the Traitors could be, but fans will have to wait until next week to find out who will be banished.

Brooke Vincent has hinted at a return to Coronation Street in the near future. Her character, Sophie Webster, was last seen on screens in Weatherfield on October 9, 2019, before the actress took maternity leave, 15 years after she first waltzed onto the famous cobbled street.

She decided to take an extended period of leave due to not taking a “typical” maternity leave period. But with her two children now growing up, the 33-year-old has revealed she would be in a position to return to the programme should the call come in from soap bosses.

During her final appearance on the show, viewers saw Sophie go travelling after inheriting money from her Aunty Vi, with her character leaving Weatherfield in a taxi as she headed to the airport. But this could all change in the near future.

“I feel like Corrie for me is home,” Brooke exclusively told the Mirror. The Audenshaw-born actress went on to add: “Whenever, if ever, they ask me, I’d love to go back and see them. It’s a different type of job now we’ve got the boys. I’ve got a lot of friends there, it’s like my family.

“It’s such a lovely place to work, so definitely, I feel like I’ve had such a long time off that I’ve been able to enjoy my children without the schedule of how hard it can sometimes be. I think obviously now they’re a bit older and they’re a bit more independent, and there’s obviously the opportunity to take on more work.

“It’s the adult conversation, routine, it’s always a gorgeous place for me to work, and I have gone off and worked in different environments with different people, but Corrie is a huge part of me, and I feel incredibly lucky to have that.” During her leave from the show, Brooke has thrown herself into various projects, including presenting on Hits Radio as well as a touring appearance in Kay Mellor’s The Syndicate, alongside Max George and Gaynor Faye.

She said: “It was fab! I loved the play, I had a ball. It was a Kay Mellor play, so I felt incredibly lucky to be working alongside Gaynor (Faye) and Kay’s grandson, Ollie. It was a family production and we embraced our roles in it.

It was hard when I was working away, navigating uniform, hobbies, what do they need, there’s a lot that goes into being a parent. And when it’s paired with something that is also quite hard, sometimes, juggling it all, it can be quite difficult. On the whole, I had a ball and I absolutely loved it.”

Brooke grew up on screens, while her partner, Kean Bryan, made a name for himself on the football pitch, playing for the likes of Manchester City and Oldham Athletic, witht the couple now sharing sons Mexx, six, and Monroe, four, but she admits she has reservations about if their children were to follow in their footsteps.

She revealed: “It’s quite daunting when you’re a parent and they want to go into the profession you’re familiar with. Acting and footballer, those two professions are constantly proving yourself, getting up from rejection and dealing with that, growing with that.

“That’s something, my two little boys are so small, I’m like ‘I don’t want you to do that’, the thing that I love about them getting older, their personalities are coming out now, and you get to see what they enjoy and are good at.

“One of my little boys is a real performer; it’s nice to see them growing up and choosing what they want to do. I don’t know how I’d feel. I’d be super supportive, but there’s also a deeper level of understanding of what mentally you sometimes have to go through with these jobs. You want them to have the easiest life.”

While Brooke’s life may look super relaxed on her social media pages, the actress admits that every day is a struggle in the family home, saying: “Any parent will tell you, the second you have to think about other people and the dynamic of kids, school, uniform, which child has which hobby, it’s a different dynamic. Sometimes it’s like juggling in the dark; you’ve got no clue if you’ve gotten through the day.

“I literally just wing it. Every single day, I wing it. Some days, I win at it, and some days I don’t. That’s the reality of what life is like now. My job isn’t necessarily a job where I know I’m going to be, what time I’m going to start, or what time to finish.”

Her online followers often see Mexx and Monroe mocking Brooke’s outfits but she admits she finds this hilarious as children have “no filter” until they’re much older. Laughing about their brutal comments, she explained: “The kids, they’re very funny, they tell the truth – there’s been times where I think I look really good, I go downstairs and they go ‘What have you got on?!’

“They don’t let you off with anything. Or if I’ve got a spot, they’ll be like ‘Mum, what is that spot?’ There’s definitely power in their words, freedom of speech; they don’t have a filter until they’re a little bit older, it’s funny.”

Most recently, Brooke joined forces with Emmerdale actor Danny Miller and Capital FM broadcaster Wingman to discuss their parenting experiences on a hilarious podcast. However, the podcast has been a long time coming, with Brooke revealing the trio had been discussing ideas in a group chat prior to signing a deal.

Speaking about the project, she said: “Finally, it’s out there, which is a bit surreal. We’ve sat and recorded some eps, when other people get to hear it, it’s been nice, it’s fun, we like it, we’re having a good life.

We’re all in the same industry, we’ve been brought up very differently, our stories on the pod are about being parents, it’s very much tongue in cheek. There’s a lot of laughs, it’s nonsense, just getting together and having a good laugh.

I feel like ours is refreshing; it’s just fun, we have an absolute ball. It’s been funny to see how one conversation will start and the next we’re off on a tangent. It’s not super polished – we’re just being nuisances constantly. It’s a real, feel-good podcast.”

BREAKING ROYAL DRAMA: Camilla LOSES IT After King Charles Hands Key Role in major US celebration to Catherine, Bypassing Her Pleas

Princess Kate and Prince William backed for key role in major US celebration

Prince William was recently revealed to be the most popular living royal among Americans

Princess Kate and Prince William look set to be able to play a “perfect” role in a “very significant” commemoration in the US next year, according to a royal commentator.

2026 will see the United States mark 250 years since declaring independence from Britain in 1776.

The prediction comes as the Royal Family prepares to host US President Donald Trump for an unprecedented second state visit in September

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believed that will present an opportunity for the UK to demonstrate the “importance of the monarchy here as a vehicle for soft power”.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes Princess Kate and Prince William could have a ‘perfect’ role during a major US milestone

To that end, he said William and Kate will be “pivotal” in the success of the visit from Trump.

However, he also speculated the Waleses would be “perfect” to take Britain’s soft power to the US, as a key guest during next year’s celebrations.

Fitzwilliams explained that Trump’s “fondness” for the Royal Family and the popularity of Prince William among Americans made them ideal for the role.

In May, polling revealed that William was the most popular living royal in the US – with a huge 63 per cent thinking of him positively against only 10 per cent that did not.Donald Trump 4th of July 2025

“You could argue that King Charles and Queen Camilla might go, that would be momentous, of course,” the expert acknowleged.

He continued: “But if you are looking at the monarchy projecting a more youthful image, which is very important, I would have thought that’s something for William and Kate.

“I think they would be Perfect,” Fitzwilliams declared.

Naturally, one might question the irony of a royal presence at an Independence Day celebration, which ultimately marks the separation of the US from the Crown.Prince William, Kate Middleton,

The Prince and Princess of Wales remain very popular in the US

However, Fitzwilliams believed the significance of the event, and the current US leader’s interest in royal affairs, would inevitably lead to an invitation being inked.

“It’s the sort of thing I would expect. I would have thought it would be almost automatic,” he said.

Before then, President Trump will take part in his second state visit to the UK in September, becoming the first elected leader in modern times to enjoy two such trips.

The US leader had previously been welcomed by Queen Elizabeth II in 2019 during his first term of office.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will be hosted by the King at Windsor Castle during their three-day visit.

“The President of the United States of America, President Donald J. Trump, accompanied by the First Lady Mrs. Melania Trump, has accepted an invitation from His Majesty The King to pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 17 September to 19 September 2025,” Buckingham Palace said.

There would have been an opportunity for the royals to meet Trump later this month, ahead of the official visit, as he will travel to him mother’s native Scotland.

However, The Palace and the White House have agreed that it is best to keep an in-person meeting for the full State Visit in September.

GB News understands that diary challenges were the main sticking point in the decision.

  • Meghan Markle Explodes in Royal Fury — Claims Kate Middleton’s Fashion Legacy Is Nothing More Than a Copy of Her Own Bold Style, Igniting a Bitter Clash That Shakes the Palace and Divides Fans Worldwide

Meghan Markle Explodes in Royal Fury — Claims Kate Middleton’s Fashion Legacy Is Nothing More Than a Copy of Her Own Bold Style, Igniting a Bitter Clash That Shakes the Palace and Divides Fans Worldwide

The royal feud has reignited — and this time, it isn’t about titles, duty, or protocol. It’s about fashion. In a stunning new claim that has set social media on fire, Meghan Markle has reportedly accused Kate Middleton of copying her style, sparking yet another storm in the ongoing rift between the two women once dubbed the “future of the monarchy.”

According to insiders, Meghan was candid in a private conversation that quickly found its way into the press. “Kate Middleton’s fashion is nothing but a copy of mine,” she allegedly remarked, insisting that her sister-in-law’s outfits, once praised as the pinnacle of elegance, are directly inspired by Meghan’s own wardrobe choices.

The Duchess of Sussex reportedly pointed out that the Princess of Wales had embraced sleek monochrome looks, tailored pantsuits, and minimalist accessories only after Meghan introduced them to the royal spotlight.

    From Compliments to Competition

When Meghan first joined the royal family, fashion critics praised her modern, effortless style, often contrasting it with Kate’s more traditional looks. But over time, observers began to note similarities: both women sporting crisp blazers, understated evening gowns, and neutral tones.

What some saw as a natural evolution of style, Meghan views as deliberate imitation. “There’s a difference between inspiration and replication,” she allegedly told a close source.

    The Public Reaction

As soon as the claim surfaced, royal fans erupted into heated debate. Supporters of Meghan argued that she had indeed injected a new energy into royal fashion, moving away from stiff, formal traditions. “Meghan was always the trendsetter. Kate is just catching up,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

But Kate’s loyal admirers were quick to fire back. “Kate Middleton has been setting the tone for royal fashion for over a decade. Meghan wasn’t even in the picture when Kate became a global style icon,” one user countered.

Fashion editors, too, joined the discussion. Some acknowledged the overlap in styles but argued it reflected broader global trends rather than one copying the other. Still, the accusation was enough to fuel headlines and divide opinions across continents.

    The Larger Feud

This latest fashion controversy adds another layer to the long and complicated relationship between Meghan and Kate. From reports of icy exchanges before Meghan’s wedding to whispers of rivalry behind palace walls, the narrative of tension between the two duchesses has never truly faded.

Now, Meghan’s bold claim risks deepening the rift — not just between the women themselves, but among their global fan bases.

    A Battle Beyond Clothes

At its heart, this is about more than hemlines and handbags. Fashion has always been a weapon in the royal arsenal — a silent language that communicates power, personality, and position. By accusing Kate of copying her style, Meghan has essentially claimed ownership of the narrative of modern royal fashion.

For Kate, often celebrated for her polished looks and relatability, the accusation threatens to cast a shadow over years of carefully curated public appearances. For Meghan, it’s an assertion of influence, a reminder that even outside the palace, she can still dominate the conversation.

    What Comes Next?

Neither Kensington Palace nor Meghan’s representatives have issued official statements, but the controversy shows no sign of fading. As fashion weeks approach and both women inevitably make new public appearances, the world will be watching every outfit, every color choice, every silhouette.

Was Meghan right? Or is Kate still the true fashion queen of the royal family?

One thing is certain: in a feud where words are whispered but clothes speak louder, every stitch has become a statement — and the world cannot look away.
