Coronation Street’s Maria left asking ‘where’s Gary’ as character sparks concern

Coronation Street’s Maria Connor wonders what’s happened to Gary Windass in a new spoiler preview for the ITV soap, as she demands his whereabouts in an angry voicemail

Gary Windass sparks concern on Coronation Street next week according to a new spoiler clip.

In the preview, his wife Maria Connor is annoyed at him after his recent abrupt exit away from the Street. He’s been staying with his mum Anna Windass amid a rocky time with Maria over her feud with Lou Michaelis.

Of course viewers know that Gary learned the hard way that it was Lou causing trouble, as a recent episode showed him being blackmailed. After she allowed Maria to worry there was something going on between them, getting closer to him, her real intentions were exposed.

New spoilers have revealed Gary has been staying with his mother Anna in the fallout, while Maria doesn’t know about the kiss and the threats. So when Gary doesn’t come home when he’s meant to, Maria is frustrated.

With them still not on the best terms, she ends up trying to contact him about his decision to delay his return. His stepson Liam Connor can’t hide his worry after failing to get in contact with him, and he asks his mum if she knows anything.

This annoys Maria further as it’s messing Liam around, but where is Gary and why is he not heading straight home? In the preview clip, Maria is shown and heard leaving Gary a message.

She pleads with him, telling him that it’s fine if he’s decided to extend his visit or has other plans but to make sure he lets her know so they don’t wonder what’s happened. Calling him out, she says: “It’s not on. Call me back when you get this.”

Liam then asks if she’s heard from him but reassures him: “I’m sure he’ll be back soon.” Liam panics saying: “I thought you said he’d be home last night?”

Maria reassures him again saying: “Yeah I know, maybe he’s just like got his days mixed up or he’s missed his train. You know what he’s like.” As she looks away from Liam she can’t hider her own confusion and concern.

Meanwhile spoilers for later in the week reveal that Gary does eventually make contact, telling Maria his whereabouts. According to the message he sends her he’s decided to stay with a mate but will be home soon.

Whether there’s more to Gary being AWOL remains to be seen, while it’s also not been revealed if Maria will find out about Lou.

Actor Jonathan Bailey has teased that he risked his life whilst working on Jurassic World Rebirth. He’s revealed that he filmed alongside potentially lethal snakes for his role but shared his excitement over the experience.

Jonathan, 37 – known for his roles in Bridgerton and more recently Wicked – said he was told that the serpents could kill him within seconds on the set of the Jurassic World film, which is set to be released next month. He’s shared that he was instructed on safety measures to avoid a fatal encounter.

As reported by the Daily Star, Jonathan recalled: “When you’re making a movie, you want to feel the world of the movie as much as possible.” He went on to say that he worked on scenes in snake-infested waters for the project.

He said: “And my gosh, do you feel it when you’re up to your waist in snake-infested waters. You have snake wranglers around you who do make you feel safe, but they also say things like ‘be careful around this one. If you get bit, you die in 10 seconds’.”

He expressed excitement over appearing in the franchise through, saying: “That kind of moment speaks to the visceral thrills that Jurassic movies are all about! I had never had that kind of experience on a set before. It was all very exciting and I hope it’s matched by the film.”

Jonathan suggested that he didn’t shy away from stunts whilst on location in Thailand. Describing one intense scene from the production, as reported by the outlet, he said that his “inner child” was “screaming with delight”.

He said: “We had to shoot a scene where my character must pull someone back into a boat because she’s falling off the side. I had water cannons blasting me, the boat’s flipping around, and my inner child, which isn’t all that inner, was just screaming with delight.”

Jonathan stars as palaeontologist Dr Henry Loomis in Jurassic World Rebirth, which is the seventh instalment in the long-running film franchise that previously starred Chris Pratt. He leads the cast with Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali.

Jonathan has shared that he relished the opportunity to play the character. He said about his role in Jurassic World Rebirth: “To play Henry, who embodies the love of nature and our best curiosities about it, was great fun.”

It’s the latest high-profile role in Jonathan’s career. In recent years, he’s starred as Fiyero Tigelaar in Wicked (2024). He’s set to reprise the role in sequel Wicked: For Good (2025), which is scheduled to be released in November.

Jonathan is also known for playing Lord Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix series Bridgerton. The show launched on the streaming platform in 2020 and his character was the focus of the second season, which aired in 2022.

He’s teased that he’s been a fan of Jurassic Park for years, having been introduced to the franchise as a child. He said: “I was five when my family took me to Jurassic Park, so a questionable choice by my parents. The characters were so vivid and because it was Spielberg, it was a sumptuous escapist delight.”

Emmerdale’s Lisa Riley teases what’s wrong with Bear as character vanishes

Emmerdale’s Mandy Dingle actress Lisa Riley told us what’s ahead amid a mystery storyline for Bear on the ITV soap, hinting at huge and unexpected twists as the character vanishes

Actress Lisa Riley has hinted at worrying and huge Emmerdale scenes ahead, concerning the new storyline with Bear.

Lisa’s character Mandy Dingle will be left concerned for her father-in-law Bear, with her and her husband Paddy Kirk, Bear’s son, already confused by his recent behaviour. As the concern grows and a clash occurs between father and son, Bear ends up leaving the village and going completely AWOL.

It’s been revealed to The Mirror that the character, played by actor Joshua Richards, will be offscreen for “a month of two”. The character then suddenly returns, and when he does it’s noticeable that something is very different.

With it thought that Paddy could “miss the signs” about what is going on with his dad amid his past experiences with depression, it’s not being confirmed just yet what exactly is going on with Bear. It’s clear he’s in turmoil, while he’s been having mood swings and displaying other worrying behaviour.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, actress Lisa has hinted when it does come out what is going on fans might be shocked. She teased unexpected scenes ahead with her reaction to the fact that fans currently have no idea what is wrong with Bear.

Emmerdale's Mandy Dingle actress Lisa Riley told us what's ahead amid a mystery storyline for Bear

She told us: “It is better that you don’t know what’s gonna happen with Bear. It’s so…” She then made a noise and pulled a face that suggested the story could come as a shock to fans, while she gave nothing away.

While she didn’t want to go too much into detail, her reaction did hint that whatever happens will be big and possibly won’t be guessed by viewers. As we asked her about how Mandy will react when Bear returns, Lisa said her concern would be more aimed at Paddy.

Giving nothing away, she teased: “He disappears and then he comes back. But she’s really conscious of Paddy so she’s looking after Paddy’s point of view… without giving too much away. She’ll be looking after Paddy.”

Whether this means Paddy’s hurt over his dad’s abrupt exit and him being gone for so long, or the impact it has on Paddy, she did not say. But it’s clear there are huge things ahead for the trio, and that Bear’s plot is going to have a lasting impact.

Speaking recently to The Mirror about the plot, actor Joshua teased what was ahead. He told us: “I’m not really sure the true nature of exactly what is going on, but there is a change there. I never saw sort of a more stripped-back Bear, emotionally through the ringer.

Actress Lisa Riley has hinted at worrying and huge Emmerdale scenes ahead

“So I think there’s something big coming up for him, which I’m really looking forward to.” He went on: “He alters somewhat. He’s not too good for some reason, which we don’t know why. So he’s been slightly erratic emotionally and with his moods.

“There are mood swings coming up for him, periods of forgetfulness, and maybe the kind of things that happened with a man of his age.” On how the storyline will impact Paddy, he teased: “Paddy will feel guilty, because this is his father’s experience in this and it’s right next to him, and he can’t see it.

“He can’t put his finger on it even though he’s experienced it himself. That’s one part of the storyline that will be going on is that somewhere down the line, he’ll have to realise that he missed it. That’ll be an important part of Paddy’s storyline as well.”

  • EastEnders’ Kat in huge turmoil after Alfie’s departure as she spends time with ex Phil

EastEnders’ Kat in huge turmoil after Alfie’s departure as she spends time with ex Phil

It’s set to be a dramatic week for Kat Moon in next week’s EastEnders as she’s left worrying about how things are with Alfie, as well as being concerned for her ex, Phil

    Kat and Phil

It’s been a huge week for Kat and Alfie in EastEnders this week, with the return of Kat’s daughter Zoe Slater. However, Kat is completely unaware that Zoe returned to London – and that her husband, Alfie, has gone to Barcelona to follow her after she fled.

Next week, she’s left worrying about her lack of communication, while also being left concerned about her ex, Phil.

It was a close call in scenes earlier this week, as Kat suspected something suspicious was going on in Stacey’s flat. She opened the bedroom door, where Zoe was, although she’d already escaped out the window. She later told Stacey she was going to Barcelona, and now Alfie’s gone to hopefully bring her back home.

However, he told a huge lie to his new wife Kat, telling her that he was off to Australia to visit his brother Spencer. Although she came round to the idea in the end, Kat told Alfie that their relationship would be over for good if she finds out he’s lying.

Spoilers for next week reveal even more turmoil for Kat and Alfie as she’s left is worrying about how things are with her husband Alfie Moon.

She tries to confide in Jean Slater, Jean about her hurt over Alfie being incommunicado, but Jean refuses to forgive Kat for going into business with Kathy and Harvey.

However, Alfie’s lack of communication isn’t the only thing concerning Kat, as she’s left worried about her ex-husband Phil. Phil’s worried about Nigel deteriorating amid his dementia diagnosis, and some of his actions next week leave Phil struggling.

During a heart to heart, Kat realises her ex-husband is exhausted and in over his head as she suggests he gets help to care for Nigel. Jean is later left questioning Kat why she’s spending so much time at Phil’s place, as she insists it’s nothing but platonic concern.

Last week, Phil was seen giving Alfie an unlikely pep talk after he and Kat called the wedding off. He told Alfie that he was the one Kat always wanted as the two made amends and tied the knot.

However, the couple’s third marriage to each other hasn’t got off on the best foot – starting off on a huge lie. Will Kat find out that Alfie’s lying about her whereabouts?

If so, how will she react? Will the pair really be over for good like she said?

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Noel Edmonds tearfully recalls being in a ‘dark place’ before suicide attempt in TV comeback

Former Deal or No Deal host Noel Edmonds has returned to screens with new show Kiwi Adventure, which delves into his life in New Zealand with wife Liz

Noel Edmonds has opened up about the ‘dark times’ he’s faced in his past as he makes a return to television. The former host of Deal or No Deal is back with Kiwi Adventure, a series that follows his life in New Zealand alongside his wife Liz, where they operate a hospitality business in the rural town of Ngatimoti.

Noel, 76, and Liz, who tied the knot in 2009, decided to relocate in 2015 and made the move in 2019. Noel had previously spoken about the ‘incredible spiritual pull’ he experienced when visiting the country, which inspired him to settle there.

The couple now own an expansive 800-acre estate named River Haven, complete with a vineyard, restaurant, wellness centre, and a pub cheekily named The Bugger Inn.

    Noel and his wife

In the first episode of his new show, Noel, last seen on our screens during his stint on I’m A Celebrity in 2018, became emotional as he reflected on his challenging past and suicidal thoughts.

At one point, he visited a sculpture called Guardian, described by narrator Rob Brydon as ‘a permanent reminder of a difficult period in his life’. “In 2005, at the height of his fame, Noel’s production company unexpectedly went bankrupt, hugely affecting his mental health,” Rob explained to viewers.

Returning to Noel, the former House Party presenter gestured towards a plinth: “There’s a description of my story here, for guests to understand why I had Guardian created. My Unique group of companies was deliberately collapsed by some corrupt bankers.

“And I’m safe in saying that because my bank manager went to prison, along with four others, for 50. What they were doing was pushing businesses over the edge and then taking assets—that’s basically what it was about. When the companies went into administration in 2006, I thought I was a crap businessman. I thought it was my fault. 70 people lost their jobs.”

Noel then revealed: “And I said to Liz, who was a fantastic support, ‘When,’ not if, When I win my battle to get my losses back, I’m gonna get the great Weta Studios, Lord of the Rings, Avatar, the real creative powerhouses here in New Zealand, I’m gonna ask them to build me a statue.”

Later, Guardian was created, with Liz designing the shield the statue holds to symbolise his legal ‘fight’. Next to the statue of a man crouching with his head bowed is an inscription, which Noel says inspired him to construct it in the first place.

“It was that inscription that held me together and motivated me during some very dark times,” he confessed, with the plaque reading: “‘The devil saw me with my head down and thought he’d won until I said Amen. The relevance of that is the knight is not kneeling in defeat; he’s praying,” revealed Noel.

He then became emotional as he detailed just how severely the legal battle impacted his mental health: “He’s praying before he gets up and defeats the dark force, the enemy. I’ll tell you, when you go to that dark space… I used to, like many people, kind of look down my nose and think, why would anybody want to take their own life? Why would they want to do that? I’ll tell you, if If you’ve ever found yourself in that bleak place, you’ll never pass judgement, because it’s a realm devoid of reason,” Noel expressed.

He concluded by saying the Guardian statue stands as a beacon for those who feel ‘weak,’ ‘disenfranchised,’ ‘marginalised,’ and ‘let down’ by society. “He has not given up. You can feel it.” With tears in his eyes, he grasped the sword and said: “Thanks, mate. Thank you.” This isn’t the first time Noel has openly discussed his suicidal thoughts.

Noel Edmonds was the first star evicted from I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2018
Noel Edmonds was the first star evicted from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2018

Back in June 2017, he revealed that he had attempted to end his life in 2005 after a fraudulent scheme by a group of HBOS financiers ruined his businesses. At that point, he wanted to ‘end the overwhelming mental pain that had consumed [his] whole being’.

“Until these criminals took me to the brink of emotional annihilation, I had always felt those who opt out by taking their own lives were selfish and cowardly… But having been cast into that bottomless dark space devoid of logic and reason, I have a much deeper understanding of life without hope…,” he confessed.

Noel also made it clear then that he ‘sought no sympathy’ and ‘felt no shame’ in making this admission. In the end, Noel received an apology from Lloyds Banking Group, which settled a compensation deal with him following the fraud case. While the specifics of the settlement were kept under wraps, the Daily Mail reported that he received around £5million.

  • What will really happen to Queen Camilla when Prince William becomes king

What will really happen to Queen Camilla when Prince William becomes king

The Prince of Wales is first in line to the throne…

Camilla was crowned Queen Consort alongside her husband King Charles on his coronation day, but what happens to the royal when Prince William becomes king – and what will she be called?

Camilla met Charles back in the 1970s, and although they dated briefly, they split and married separate partners. Two decades later, their affair became public and they had broken up with their spouses. Fast-forward to 2005, they tied the knot and Camilla began making more public and royal appearances alongside her husband.

During King Charles’ coronation, Camilla was crowned by his side, becoming a Queen Consort – but what happens when Prince William succeeds his father?

What happens to Queen Camilla when Prince William becomes king?

Charles‘ mother Queen Elizabeth II became Britain’s longest-reigning monarch after 70 years on the throne. She ascended to the Head of State after her father King George VI passed away at Sandringham after battling an illness, at just 25 years old.

Whereas, Charles didn’t become the monarch until he was 71 years old, meaning it’s unlikely he’ll have a reign as long as his mother’s. It was Elizabeth who issued a public statement months before her death, wishing for Camilla to become a queen consort when the time comes. Spouses of the monarch are typically Prince or Princess Consort, but the royal wanted Camilla to become queen consort in honour of her ‘loyal service’.

Elizabeth’s husband, Prince Philip, was not referred to as a Prince Consort, but instead when by the title of Duke of Edinburgh.

One day, Prince William will succeed his father, in the event of King Charles’ death, so what happens to Camilla, and will she still be called Queen?

What will Camilla be called when William is king?

Camilla’s title will change in the event of King Charles’ death and if William ascends to the throne – she will be called something else entirely.

She’ll not retain the Queen Camilla title if she is alive to see William succeed Charles, instead being Queen Dowager, as the widow of the departed king.

Her full title as of present, is Queen Consort Camilla, but many drop the consort out of ease and respect. But she does not hold the same power as her husband, and Charles is the reigning monarch despite of this.

The last queen dowager was back in the 1800s, and the royal only held the title for 12 years.

The most recent widow of a king was Queen Elizabeth II’s own mother, also called Elizabeth, who was married to George VI. However, she did not take on the queen dowager title, and was known as the Queen Mother for 50 years. It also helped to avoid confusion as both royals had the first name Elizabeth.

However, in Camilla’s case, William is her stepson so what will happen is that she’ll likely take another title over being called Queen Mother.

But, as royal history has shown us, William may choose to take another route and craft a new title for Camilla when he is king.

    Royal’s life after Charles’ death

Her royal workload and public outings will likely change, and this will mostly be down to her age in the event of Charles’ death.

Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton will ascend to the throne, and become the head of the country.

Their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will likely take on senior royals within The Firm if they’re of age to do so.

DNA Journey’s Julian Clary and Jo Brand slammed by viewers over ‘disrespectful’ behaviour

‘Not sure why Julian has done this,’ one viewer claimed

Julian Clary and Jo Brand divided viewers of ITV’s DNA Journey last night (June 19), with one X user branding them “disrespectful”.

The two comics teamed up to trawl through their families’ pasts and discover more about their personal histories.

But while the stars’ devoted supporters couldn’t get enough of the Julian Clary and Jo Brand pairing on screen, not everyone watching at home was as pleased to see them.

Viewers react to Julian Clary and Jo Brand on DNA Journey

For those viewers, it may have been better simply to change channel and watch a different programme.

But some persisted – and then moaned about their viewing on X.

“Not very clever of Jo Brand and Julian Cleary to take the [blank] out of the researchers who worked on the #DNAJourney on ITV. Disrespectful of them,” one person posted about a perceived slight.

    This is pretty dire.

Another unhappy onlooker complained: “Well this is pretty dire. Julian Clary drudging up the same old jokes he’s based his whole career on. And Jo Brand looking totally uninterested #DNAJourney.”

And a third person sniffed: “Julian has a sense of humour that most people grow out of #DNAJourney.”

‘This is right up my street’

However, there were X users who made it clear they were big fans of Julian and Jo, and big fans of seeing them on the box together.

“I loved #DNAJourney with #Ancestry! Loved Jo and Julian,” one such fan wrote.

“I absolutely love both @JulianClary and @Jo_Brand so this is right up my street #DNAJourney #ITV,” posted another.

And a third person agreed: “I’ve enjoyed this edition of #DNAJourney, with Jo Brand and Julian Clary. Plenty of laughs, along with family tree stuff.”

Meanwhile, over on Julian and Jo’s respective Instagram accounts, there was even more of an outpouring of love for them and their dynamic together.

“The friendship between the two of you shines throughout,” one devotee commented on Julian’s post about the show.

“Two national treasures,” declared someone else on Jo’s page. While yet another gushed: “Two of my favourite people on telly. Keep being fantastic humans.”

Additionally, there was also confusion from some users who couldn’t understand why Julian was participating in the programme, having previously appeared on another family history series.

“Julian already did Who Do You Think You Are?, why would he need the knock off ITV version? #DNAJourney,” questioned one person.

“DNA Journey is a poor man’s Who Do You Think You Are. Would be good to see Julian Clary and Jo Brand on the real thing. #DNAJourney #wdytya,” stated another.

To which someone else replied: “I know Julian has done WDYTYA so not sure why he’s done this. Not sure about Jo though.”

And a fourth person also posted; “Julian Clary must know about his family as he has been on Who Do You Think You Are? before. #DNAourney.”

Who is on the new DNA Journey?

With one episode left to air in series 5 of ITV’s DNA Journey, the final celebrity pairing is Sam Thompson and Marvin Humes. They are said to have been best friends since they both appeared on I’m a Celebrity.

Sam and Marvin’s episode is already available to watch on ITVX.

This Morning viewers complain following Trisha Goddard’s appearance: ‘I can’t warm to her’

Not everyone was a fan of the Celebrity Big Brother star…

This Morning viewers were not the biggest fans of Trisha Goddard today after she appeared on the ITV1 daytime show.

During Wednesday’s (June 17) show, Trisha joined hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard and fellow guest Tom Swarbrick to discuss the latest news stories.

This Morning viewers ‘can’t warm’ to Trisha Goddard

Trisha, 67, has remained in the headlines recently. Earlier this year, she appeared on ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother. She has also been open about her incurable cancer battle.

However, after appearing on This Morning today, viewers were seemingly not pleased to see the TV icon back on their screens.

“Why does Trisha always talk with an ”I AM TALKING NOW AND YOU WILL LISTEN TO ME! BECAUSE I AM ALWAYS RIGHT’ kind of tone?” one user wrote on X.

“Why do they keep on inviting Trisha back to the news review FGS!” another person shared.

“Oh dear, they have Trisha ‘only my opinion is the right one’ Goddard on the show,” a third remarked.

“Trisha is so condescending,” a fourth said. “I really can’t warm to her,” another insisted.

“Oh please don’t let Trisha Goddard on again,” a sixth viewer pleaded.

‘Cancer has given me the perfect excuse not to sweat the small stuff’

In an Instagram video shared earlier this month, Trisha posted a video of herself while on holiday in Venice. And we doubt she’ll be bothered about the This Morning backlash…

“One of the ‘gifts’ this whole cancer malarkey has given me is a perfect excuse not to sweat the small stuff and not to live life being restricted in what I want to do purely because of the fear of what other people may think of me,” she wrote in her caption.

“For one thing, they probably really couldn’t give too much of a [bleep] because they be busy stressing with their own stuff!”

She continued: “And if they do, remember, it’s because of they’re displaying their own issues and poor mental health! We only have one Life. Live it.”

Lauren Simon, star of The Real Housewives Of Cheshire, has spent the past three years dealing with the devastating and painful consequences of a “botched” boob job in Turkey. The 53-year-old visited a clinic in Istanbul to reduce her 34DD chest down to a 34D, after being encouraged to go abroad by a friend.

Now that she’s nearing the end of her reconstructive treatment, Lauren exclusively reveals to new the extent of her ordeal to help educate other women thinking of going under the knife abroad.

Hi, Lauren! Why go to Turkey for your breast reduction operation?

I was typical Lauren – jump first, think later. I went with a friend, involved in a plastic surgery business out there, so I thought I’d be OK. I’d never had invasive surgery and I thought, “I’ve had two kids, I’ll just have my boobs put back where they’re supposed to be.”

Did you do much research into where you were going?

No. I told friends, and everybody said I was crazy, but I didn’t listen. I’m very headstrong. Also, once you’ve gone through a tough divorce like I have, you think you’re in control and do whatever you want. I felt invincible, if I’m being honest. My mum said, “Don’t go” but I wouldn’t listen. I thought, “I’m going with a friend, I’ll be fine.”

What happened when you got there?

I flew to Bodrum to have my teeth done and, then flew to Istanbul for breast surgery and to get a bit taken off my nose.

I was taken to a very swish hospital, full of people wearing Chanel, looking like movie stars. I was on the VIP floor and, at 7am, the surgeon, who I hadn’t seen or spoken to, came in and said, “Right, what are we doing?” I showed him a picture of what I wanted my nose to look like (of Megan Fox – who takes in a picture of Megan Fox? Ridiculous!) and said I wanted my breasts one size smaller, with an implant that lifts them.

So you went in for both surgeries. What happened when you woke up?

I realised I’d had a reaction to the general anaesthetic. I was so swollen, so I stayed in for an extra day but then went back to the villa where I was staying with other women who were also getting things done.

You were all going in for surgery at the same time?

Yes, six women, including myself, staying in the same villa, with a nurse checking on us. All had numerous surgeries on the same day. Most were having breast reductions, tummy tucks, full-body lipo and Brazilian butt lifts. I had different needlework on the left and right breast, so I don’t think I even had the same surgeon.

Did you notice more problems straight away?

Yes, my left nipple was purple, and the breast was about three times the size of the other, and boiling hot. I knew something was wrong. I went back into the hospital a few days later and, when they opened the bandages, the whole nipple was black – the flesh was dying.

That sounds so scary. You must have felt far from home…

I refused to fly home because my nipple was getting blacker and blacker. They admitted me and came in every two-and-a-half hours to have blood pricked back into the nipple to help blood flow. I ended up staying in Turkey for a month, barely sleeping and in a lot of pain. The first few weeks I was just crying. The last two weeks, I was in and out of hospital to get the infection treated.

What did you do each day?

I’d go for a walk in the morning, then watch TV. I also did a lot of meditation and listened to self-help podcasts. I had to get strength from somewhere very deep to be able to stay sane.

What happened when you got home?

I’m really lucky that I found some amazing doctors here, and I had a surgery last week with a doctor at The Pall Mall Surgery. A lot of UK doctors don’t like to deal with surgeries from abroad, and I understand why. I was in a lot of pain and had capsular contracture, where scar tissue tightened around the implants. It was such an ordeal.

What advice would you give to someone considering surgery abroad?

If you’re going to a surgeon that’s reputable, and you are speaking to and FaceTiming them, that’s one thing. If you’re going somewhere that just does Instagram adverts, don’t do it. That said, I understand that for someone on a normal salary, there’s still a big difference in costs, so it’s about educating people to help them make sensible decisions and making the UK market more competitive.

Your daughters, Gigi and Kika, must have been very worried.

They didn’t want me to go but they’re 21 and 17 now. They realise we all make mistakes.

I think they were just happy to have me home. It’s put them off having their boobs done, though! They might tell me I’m stupid, but they’ll always support me.

    Have you sworn off surgery?

Well, it took me so long to decide to get something done. I’m in my fifties, now. I think eating healthy and going to the gym is the way forward. It’s definitely changed how I live and work.

You haven’t lost your confidence, though.

No, I’m actually very body positive. My clothes are always too short and too tight, but I always think I look amazing!

And is there anyone special on the scene?

I’m not in a relationship at the moment – I’m… interviewing! But I think I’ll wait for the sports bra to come off and the sexy lingerie to come back before jumping into anything.
