Charlene White walks off Loose Women set and declares ‘it’s a daytime show’

Loose Women star Charlene White declared ‘it’s a daytime show’ as she walked off set after co-star Brenda Edwards’ rude comment that left viewers giggling

Loose Women’s Charlene White was left stunned after a rude comment on the show left her walking off declaring “it’s a daytime show”.

The ITV show descended into chaos on Tuesday as Charlene, Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and Kelle Bryan discussed a study. It found people who listen to heavy metal have more partners than any other genre of music, and sparked a lively debate.

Each panellist shared what music they loved, as Kelle said Björk’s Play Dead was one of her favourite tracks. Brenda shared Black Sabbath’s Paranoid was one of her favourites, which promoted Charlene to ask if the study was correct.

Singer Brenda replied: “Not for me, personally.” But added she was “in her element” when she was able to work with mentor Sharon Osbourne’s husband Ozzy back in 2005 on The X Factor.

Brenda confesses she was starstruck “seeing him in a show other than in Wembley”. Coleen then asked if playing heavy metal would be a turn on for her.

She simply replied: “You’d speed up innit!”. The remark made Charlene walk away from the table while the audience howled with laughter.

The I’m A Celebrity star eventually returned to her seat and told her co-stars: “Since this is a daytime show, I am going to move swiftly on.”

The comment had viewers at home giggling too as one said: “Brenda… I was laughing for a good 10 minutes OH MY GOD.” Another added: “Omg Brenda just made my day never laughed so much . # loose women.”

“Just love Brenda on #loosewomen,” wrote someone else. It comes after former Loose Women presenter Saira Khan criticised the show, claiming Stacey Solomon was the only panelist allowed to be the ‘fun one’.The Apprentice star, 53, quit the programme in 2020 after five years, saying she had to “tolerate” some of her co-stars. Speaking about her experience on the panel, Saira accused ITV bosses of ‘siloing’ her, saying: “On Loose Women you saw me being quite passionate, heated and feisty, but that’s the silo they put me in.

“I wanted to have a bit of fun, but that wasn’t for me, that was for Stacey Solomon. Stacey was the fun one, but I had to be the loud, gobby one,” reports Closer magazine.

When she quit the show, the mum-of-two claimed the culture of Loose Women encouraged the presenters to argue, which made her “into a bitchy person I don’t want to be”. Saira added: “I started to realise they just wanted me to tick the box of ‘gobby Muslim woman’.”

Responding to Saira’s claims at the time, ITV said: “We strongly refute all of these claims. Duty of care is of paramount importance for all of our panellists. Saira left the panel almost two years ago and we wish her well.”

EXCLUSIVE: Kaye Adams reveals truth about Loose Women feud as panel rally round Fiona Phillips

Kaye Adams said she is fed up that Loose Women stars after often asked whether there are feuds between them – and said it is a barrel of laughs behind the scenes

Kaye Adams has opened up about the bond she shares with her fellow Loose Women – including sleeping together after drunken nights out.

The Scottish star says it is a barrel of laughs behind the scenes and dismissed reports of feuding as nonsense.

Kaye, who first appeared on the show in 1999, said: “I do get fed up that almost always we will be asked whether we bitch about each other.

“I’m just waiting for Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker to be asked the same question because they just never are.

“When we are asked about feuds, we think it is funny. It is certainly not a viper’s nest.

“The one thing that I can guarantee when I go to the Loose Women, regardless of the line-up of women, regardless of the topics, at some point in that day, I will have a real belly laugh.

“And I don’t know how many other people can say that about their working life. I’m really delighted to say, hand on heart at some point in the day, we will be creasing ourselves, which is a lovely thing.”

Kaye, who is appealing for people with regional accents to help front an airline ad, went on: “I did a press trip to Jamaica 20 years ago with Carol McGiffin, who was hilarious, and I have a photo of her fully clothed, swigging champagne and throwing herself backwards into a swimming pool at 2am.

“Yeah, that is pretty standard (with Carol ). Linda Robson and Denise Welsh are both fans of Magic Mike, and I often end up in bed naked with Nadia Sawalha after a night out.

“That’s routine for us – she’s too lazy to go home and I sleep naked… I’m not changing for anyone.

“So we’ve had countless nights where we’ve been worse for wear and tumbled into the same bed together.

“I see more of some of the presenters than others, but I love to see them all on a Loose Women night out.”

Kaye, 60, spoke as ITV stars rallied round ex-Loose Women panellist Fiona Phillips following her Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

Mirror columnist Fiona, 62, revealed in the paper on Wednesday that she had the same disease that ravaged both her father and mother.

Coleen Nolan said on the show: “I was so shocked, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I’ve experienced Alzheimer’s with my mum and I know how traumatic that is.”

Charlene White was given a warning on Loose Women today after the group discussed their anxieties about timekeeping, where Charlene confessed she was late for work today

Charlene White was given a ‘warning’ on Loose Women today by her co-star.

The ITV news presenter and Loose Women panellist was leading the show today, where she discussed timekeeping with the other three panellists – Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards and EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy. As they chatted about anxiety around keeping time, Natalie admitted she was there for the show really early – whilst Charlene said she showed up late.

That led to Charlene being ‘reprimanded’ by one of her colleagues, who joked that she she should be given a “warning” for turning up late to the show. Coleen then admitted she finds it annoying when people are late for work due to things in their control, before Charlene continued to insist that her reason for being late wasn’t in her control.

Meanwhile, earlier in the show, Charlene and the panel celebrated her birthday, which she spent camping.

Speaking about her special surprise, she said: “This is 44. And I ended up camping for it. Which is VERY unlike me! Thanks for all the really lovely birthday messages, DM’s, calls, texts, Stories etc. yesterday!

“I’ve had zero signal for days, as my birthday fell on the same weekend as Alfie’s class camping trip. And it turns out the reception is rubbish in the countryside. The wonderful parents in Alfie’s class and Andy threw a surprise birthday party for me yesterday afternoon, complete with decorations, presents, and my favourite drink. There were 24 families on the trip so it was quite an undertaking, and I’m super thankful. And the sun even shone. Woo-hoo!”

Charlene previously opened up about working with the Loose Women panel. She told The Mirror: “It’s a bunch of mates having a laugh. A lot of times they cut back to the studio after an ad break and we’re all still laughing… I’m lucky to work with an incredible bunch of women. We all have fun… Every morning we have our meeting together, it’s a room full of joy and laughter… It’s a room full of friendship and a room full of compassion, we care a lot about each other.”

Popular, straight-talking Brenda Edwards, who first rose to fame on The X Factor in 2005, has opened up exclusively to OK! about how her experience with breast cancer a few years ago totally transformed how the 56-year-old lives her life today.

The TV presenter, singer and actress, who is part of ITV’s Loose Women panel alongside Coleen Nolan, Ruth Langsford and Christine Lampard, has had a very difficult few years – following the tragic death of her son, Jamal Edwards, who passed away in 2022 at the age of just 31 from a cardiac arrest.

But the TV star, who also has a 31-year-old daughter, Tanisha, has also fought breast cancer – and reveals in an exclusive chat with OK! that her experiences have taught her not only the importance of life, but how short it can be.

After being diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2015, when she was just 46 and playing Motormouth Maybelle in Hairspray, Brenda underwent chemotherapy, a mastectomy and breast reconstruction, and is now cancer-free.

And though she admits it was terrifying, Brenda says her illness led to a change for the better. “It really makes you appreciate life. It makes you want to grab each moment when you can in whatever way you can. You realise that life isn’t promised to you. I think I’ve also become a bit more confident since facing cancer, to talk about things that have happened to me and to be open,” she adds.

Brenda admits, past experience means she is now extremely vigilant when it comes to looking after her health. “I’m always on top of things to do with my health now, since the diagnosis.

“If something doesn’t feel right, I’m on top of it. For many people, it can be nerve-wracking when something is wrong and you’re worried about whether there’s a problem, but I see it the other way around. What if it’s nothing? It’s better to have peace of mind.”

It’s this new philosophy on taking meticulous care of her physical and mental health that has led the star to supporting a campaign dubbed The Aunties Army, in conjunction with Specsavers and Glaucoma UK – encouraging those from African-Caribbean backgrounds to get their eyes checked more regularly, as new research shows that African-Caribbean communities are up to four times more likely to develop glaucoma, yet more likely to delay or avoid health appointments.

“I’ve got a history of women in my family having issues with their eyes, so I felt it would be good to use my platform to help raise awareness for people of the African and Caribbean communities,” Brenda says. “Since the campaign video aired, I’ve had messages from people saying they’re going to get checked, so initiatives like this really do work.”

Denise Welsh has revealed she will be taking a break from ITV’s Loose Women and she announced she’ll be heading on a trip away

Denise Welch will be missing from Loose Women over the coming weeks as the ITV panellist has confirmed a break from the discussion show.

On Monday, she announced a temporary absence from the panel and a break from social media.

The news comes after her son and The 1975 frontman Matty Healy’s romance to Taylor Swift reportedly heats up.

Sharing a video on Instagram, she said: “Well… on today, on my 65th birthday, I want to say thank you in advance for all the lovely messages and comments that I’ve received.

“I’m going off on a little adventure for a couple of weeks so I’m going to be off here and off my phone.

“I don’t quite know how I’m going to cope, but I’m going to give it a try, so don’t think I have disappeared. It’s just a temporary little holiday and I’ll be back soon.”

Denise’s birthday, May 22, is also the anniversary of her mother Annie’s death.

In the video, she continued: “For those missing their mums, I’m thinking of you. It’s a full circle.

“She brought me into the world on the 22nd of May and she left the world holding mine and my sister’s hand on the 22nd of May, so it’s a celebration of life as well.”

She later added in her caption: ‘Thank you and au revoir for a couple of weeks!!!”

It’s understood she will be going away with her husband, and PR manager, Lincoln Townley, who she has been married to since 2013.

Denise’s announcement comes after it was reported her son Matty may be set to help his new rumoured girlfriend Taylor write music for her new album.

An insider said: “Things are moving fast between Matty and Taylor. They’re totally head over heels for each other. It’s been decided that he will help her pen songs for her next album and he might even provide some vocals if it works for the tracks.”

“Matty has been inspired after attending several shows on her US tour, but they won’t have a lot of time to work together this summer as The 1975 also have their own shows,” an insider told The Sun.

Matty has been spotted in the audience of several of Taylor’s concerts in America after rumours circulated the pair were together romantically earlier this month.

Denise Welch breaks silence as Robbie Williams brands son Matty Healy ‘unhinged’

Denise Welsh has responded after Robbie Williams took to social media to brand The 1975 frontman Matty Healy ‘unhinged’ as he slammed the ‘boring’ music scene

Loose Women’s Denise Welch has responded after her son Matty Healy was called ‘unhinged’ by Robbie Williams.

Denise shared a post from Robbie on Instagram where he complained about the “boring” British music scene and praised Matty for being different.

“How boring is the music scene right now? I’m not attacking the music itself. I’m just lamenting the death of friction, danger, personality,” Robbie told his three million followers.

“I get it, everyone’s scared. No one knows what you’ll say that will get you cancelled,” the Let Me Entertain You singer went on. “No one knows what you’ve already said or written that will end you. So many people to offend.”

Robbie then complimented Denise’s son, saying: “Matt Healy is the only commercially viable Pop/Rock star that I can see who is willing to be something other than beige. I really like Matt – he’s unhinged, super smart, super talented and willing to upset. Upsetting for a cause. The cause being a complicated inner life a rebellious streak and boredom.”

He hinted that Matt has inspired him, joking that he needs “got to get some of that [kind of] musical energy back in my life”. “Like I say ”so many people to offend”. I hope I have time to fit them all in,” he added, reports the Express.

One fan agreed with Robbie’s comments about Matty, writing: “Couldn’t agree more about Matty Healy – absolutely legend! ” in the comments section of Robbie’s post.

The rock star has gained a reputation for causing a stir with his upfront behaviour, resulting in him being barred from entire countries and his podcast content removed from the internet following an extremely open discussion. Last year, Matty stirred up controversy during a performance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital, where he shared a kiss with a male bandmate on stage.

This was a protest against the country’s laws and policies that he described made him feel “f*****g furious”. Just half an hour into his set, he was told to exit the stage and the music festival where he was performing was cancelled. The band received a £2 million lawsuit threat.

Previously in 2022, Matty caused concern by biting into raw meat during live performances. This prompted the NHS to issue a warning about the potential for serious food poisoning.

Although it doesn’t match up to Ozzy Osbourne’s infamous bat-head-biting incident, his actions have certainly led to controversy – so much so that he’s been completely banned from Dubai after he kissed another man and waved a pride flag onstage.

Rumours suggest that Matty once had a romantic involvement with Taylor Swift. He also faced backlash for imitating rapper Ice Spice’s accent, for which he later apologised, describing himself as a “d**k”.

Denise, the proud parent, shared Robbie’s congratulatory tweet on her own Twitter account along with a drawing previously shared by Robbie himself. The caption of this sketch read: “Me, Matt Healy and Morrissey playing laser quest at the Trafford Centre [in Manchester]. We then go to Morrissey’s [house] to write a song about it called ‘We all have fun and then we die.’”

Holly Willoughby hits back at Eamonn Holmes criticism with telling remark

Holly Willoughby was accused by former This Morning co-star Eamonn Holmes of ‘faking’ her friendship with Alison Hammond

Holly Willoughby appeared to hit back at Eamonn Holmes’ brutal claims about her friendship with Alison Hammond with a very telling remark on This Morning today.

The 42-year-old returned to the ITV daytime show today alongside host Craig Doyle, who became the second host this week to fill in for Phillip Schofield.

Last week, former This Morning host Eamonn accused Holly of “faking” her friendship with Alison in a bombshell interview, suggesting that their ‘sudden’ friendship “wouldn’t have happened 13 years ago”.

However, Holly seemed to hit back at the claims in a comment sparked by Josie Gibson’s appearance on the ITV show today by the Kennet and Avon canal.

Josie declared: “Stick with us over the next few days because I’m going to be on my own canal boat adventure and tomorrow is Best Friends Day, so my friends better be ready! Got a canal boat waiting for you…”

Holly responded back in the studio: “Aw, enjoy that! Think of all the friends getting on the canal with her. The canals are about to get even more dangerous, Craig!”

Craig asked Josie: “How many of you are going, Jose?”

Josie replied: “Well, I’ve been trying to round them out but Alison can’t make it, Holly’s obviously in the studio, so I’ve got one or two.”

Holly interrupted with a grin: “Alison can’t come because she’s at mine tonight! That’s what I do know!”

It comes after Eamonn previously told Dan Wootton on GB News: “This nonsense about Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond as her best friend and [Holly] was at Alison’s birthday party…Alison Hammond goes to Holly Willoughby’s select nights out with her friends.

“This wouldn’t have happened two years ago. Are you kidding? Alison Hammond has been on the programme 13 years and I’m sure there was very little contact between her and the presenters.

“People just use other people and it’s disgusting.”

Holly returned to This Morning on Monday after an extended two-week break as she issued a statement and finally addressed the scandal involving her former colleague Phillip.

Phillip, 61, initially quit This Morning after 21 years amid rumours of a rift between himself and co-star Holly following a “difficult few days” amid his brother’s court case.

But in a shocking turn, the host was axed completely from ITV – including from his presenting roles on Dancing On Ice and the British Soap Awards – after he admitted to lying about an affair he had with a much younger male colleague.

After his statement, Holly said that she was “hurt” that she had been lied to, while ITV bosses expressed their “deep disappointment” over his “deceit”.Last week, Phillip went on to take part in a series of bombshell interviews in which he declared he is “not a groomer” and addressed his falling out with Holly, revealing that he texted her but never received a response.

Loose Women’s Linda Robson gives ‘stressful’ update on house move after divorce

Loose Women panellist Linda Robson has opened up about life after her divorce from husband Mark Dunfold after 33 years of marriage, admitting things have been “stressful”

Loose Women star Linda Robson has made a candid admission as she prepares for life after her heart-breaking divorce.

The 66-year-old announced her split from husband Mark Dunford last year, over 33 years after the pair married in 1990. At the time she said “enough is enough”, admitting the pair had “simply grown apart” over the years.

It left Linda looking to move out of their period two-bedroom family home in Islington, aiming to move closer to their two children Louis, 32, and Bobbie, 28. When asked if she had moved yet, Linda told Woman: “No, I’m still looking. Hopefully, I will find somewhere.”

The star admitted it has been a stressful period, adding: “It certainly will be a new chapter when I do move.” Previously, Linda admitted that she and Mark “never had that much in common” but says they stayed together for their children.

The divorce comes after a tough few years for Linda in which she has endured a breakdown and a struggle with drinking and OCD that left her on suicide watch. Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “I gave my family the worst time. I still find it hard to forgive myself for that. I’d always been the strong one. Suddenly, they all had to look after me.

“I felt so bad for what I’d done to everyone who loved me. My family would come and visit me on Sundays instead of us all at home having a roast together. It was the worst time of my life, ever.”

Now, back to her old self, Linda has seen her career reach new successes as a panellist on ITV’s popular daytime show. She added: “I love being on the panel, it’s like working with your mates every day.”

Linda also admits she has been contacted by producers from Celebs Go Dating, but says her children asked her not to do the show. She told Woman that she “wouldn’t be looking for a date” but did want to meet people.

  • PALACE ON FIRE! Charles Strikes Meg With D£@thly Warning Demanding She Stops Call Herself APrincess

PALACE ON FIRE! Charles Strikes Meg With D£@thly Warning Demanding She Stops Call Herself APrincess

King Charles’ public warning to Meghan Markle has sent shockwaves through the royal family, exposing a rift that has been simmering for months.

The confrontation highlights a growing power struggle, as Meghan’s quest for a royal title collides with the King’s steadfast determination to uphold the traditions and protocols of the monarchy. This clash of ambitions could have far-reaching consequences, setting the stage for a potential breakaway that would redefine the very fabric of the British royal family.

Royal Family Rift: Meghan Markle’s Quest for a Royal Title Collides with King Charles III’s Traditions

The royal family is now publicly exposing a rift that has been simmering for months. This confrontation highlights a growing power struggle as Meghan Markle’s quest for a royal title collides with King Charles III’s determination to uphold the traditions and protocols of the monarchy. This clash of ambitions could have far-reaching consequences, setting the stage for a potential breakaway that would redefine the fabric of the British royal family.

What Form of Cancer Does King Charles Have? Here's What to Know

Meghan Markle’s Contentious Relationship with the Royals

For years, Meghan Markle’s relationship with the royal family has been complex and often contentious. Her distancing from royal traditions, outspoken nature, and willingness to challenge the status quo have contributed to ongoing tension within the monarchy. Meghan’s strained relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, has also been a concern for the royal family. Her unwillingness to mend fences and maintain familial ties has been seen by some as a disregard for the importance of duty and loyalty, which are deeply ingrained in the royal ethos.

Moreover, Meghan’s bold assertions of her status and ambitions have clashed with the more reserved and protocol-driven nature of the monarchy. Her desire to carve out a unique and influential role for herself has at times been perceived as a threat to the established order.

    The Latest Flashpoint

The latest flashpoint in this ongoing drama occurred during a private meeting between Meghan and King Charles. According to sources, the king publicly warned Meghan to stop deceiving people about her eligibility for a royal title. This clear indication from the king suggested that her hopes for such a designation are unrealistic and, in his view, little more than a fantasy. This confrontation underscores the deep divisions and power struggles simmering within the royal family.

The Potential Consequences: A Breakaway in the Making

The public clash between Meghan and King Charles has added a new layer of intrigue to the ongoing royal drama. It has fueled speculation about Meghan’s true motivations and ambitions within the royal family, with some suggesting that her quest for a royal title is driven by a desire for power and influence rather than a genuine attachment to the institution itself.

The tensions are at an all-time high, and the divisions within the royal family appear to be deepening. This raises the distinct possibility that Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, may choose to distance themselves further from the monarchy, potentially even severing ties altogether. Such a breakaway would have major consequences not only for the royal family but also for the broader public. It could redefine the landscape of the British monarchy, potentially leading to a restructuring of the institution and a renegotiation of its role in modern society.

A Clash of Ideals and Ambitions

The confrontation between Meghan Markle and King Charles represents a clash of ideals and ambitions at the heart of the current royal turmoil. Meghan’s desire for recognition and status has collided head-on with the king’s steadfast commitment to upholding the traditions and protocols of the monarchy. As tensions continue to escalate, the future of the royal family hangs in the balance. The king’s warning to Meghan may be a tipping point, setting the stage for a potential breakaway that could have far-reaching implications for the British monarchy and its place in the world.

Ultimately, this clash of wills underscores the profound challenges faced by the royal family as it navigates the complexities of the modern era. The outcome of this power struggle will shape the future of the monarchy and the role it plays in the lives of the British people for generations to come.
