This Morning star, 52, gives birth to fourth child and shares unusual name

A This Morning star has given birth to her fourth child at the age of 52 and she took to social media to share some sweet photos and the tot’s unusual name

This Morning expert and psychologist Emma Kenny has welcomed her fourth child at the age of 52. The TV star, who is married to her 34 year old husband Pete, has added a baby girl to her brood.

Emma took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her baby daughter Ella-Grey and shared a string of sweet photos. In the post, Emma announced: “Say hi Ella-Grey And then we were six! Say hello Ella-Grey! This morning she entered the world with a very loud cry. The Royal Bolton hospital have been fantastic and ensured that we have both been looked after brilliantly.”

The TV star is already a mum to children Tyde, 22, Evan, 20, and Etta-Blue, who she welcomed in 2023. The arrival of Emma’s fourth child was tinged with sadness for Emma, who lost her mum “suddenly” a few weeks before she gave birth. Explaining more about her loss, she said: “I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as older my boys did before them.”

Emma welcomed her first two children two decades ago – two boys – and she now has two younger children, one 23 months and one just born, and both of them are girls.

“Ella-Grey has been lying on me all day, she latched on immediately and is as wonderful as I imagined she would be…..but like her sister…..I am blindsided that she is a girl,” she said.

“So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months.” She explained she had struggled in the wake of her father’s sad death and thought she would never be happy again.

“When my dad took his life in 2019, I never thought I would be happy again, but in truth I couldn’t have been more wrong, I’ve learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering, we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it. I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me,” she wrote.

To conclude her post, she thanked those who had stood by her in the dark times. She said: “Thank you to all of you who have spent years supporting me. You stood beside me in the dark times and you gave me so many new career directions that these days I don’t need invites off the MSM! Thank you, all of you, for so much more than you could possibly know xxx.”

Fans and friends rushed to congratulate her on the baby’s arrival. One wrote: “Massive congrats! You are such a massive inspiration :),” whilst another added: “Awww congratulations to you both, your girls will be besties! It is hard when the younger ones don’t get to know your parents the same way as older siblings, I feel my youngest missed out on so much too, best wishes to your lovely family.”

Ruth Langsford had a sweet message for Emma and her partner, writing: “Congratulations both” whilst Natasha Hamilton also shared: “So happy for you Emma – what a beautiful little girl, huge congratulations to you all xxx.”

The TV star had been keeping her pregnancy underwraps until last week – when she shared a post on her Instagram to reveal she was nine months pregnant. Showing off her bump while filming herself stood in front of a mirror, Emma told her fans: “Last show before I give birth! 9 months pregnant, quite happy to go into labour on stage….so any of you with health care qualifications at my Killer Couples, Liverpool Empire show tonight please be prepared!

Revealing her plans to return to work in just a few weeks, she continued: “Back on stage in September…..but for now it’s time for baby, 2 year old, filming YouTube and Facebook and going on a road trip to Italy the minute this babies fast track passport arrives! X.”

This pregnancy isn’t the only one she has kept private, as she also hid her pregnancy with her third child Etta-Blue, who she welcomed into the world in 2023.

Shortly after giving birth to her third tot, Emma previously admitted she was “selfish” for becoming a mum again in her 50s, but said she was loving every second. Speaking to OK! magazine in 2023 about the birth of her third child, Emma revealed: “I felt a great deal of selfishness all the way up until giving birth.

“There are moments when I think, ‘I wish I could have another 20 years with etta.’ I could beat myself up about it, but my best friend died at 43, so you don’t always get the time that’s promised to you. I’ll have conversations with Etta about it as she gets older.”

Emma went through 10 years of gruelling IVF to conceive daughter Etta and sadly went through several miscarriages. She said previously: “For 10 years I tried to have her and failed constantly. I’ll have to process my grief over the fact that I couldn’t have her at 42 or 45.

“I feel I’ve had years stolen from my child, but I’m very grateful for having her.”

Emmerdale reveals who Ray’s working with in betrayal and it’s bad news for Ross

Emmerdale’s Robert Sugden featured in a huge twist with new villain Ray on the ITV soap on Tuesday night, and it won’t end well for Mackenzie Boyd or Ross Barton

There was a dangerous new alliance on Emmerdale on Tuesday night, as new villain Ray made his debut – and it’s bad luck for Ross Barton.

As the character arrived claiming to be an acquaintance of Mackenzie Boyd, he suggested he was selling farm machinery and wanted to see if he was interested. But soon his real agenda became clear when he was shown the weed crops that were stashed in the barn.

Ross, his brother Lewis Barton, who owns the cannabis and has been harvesting it for a while, and Mack were secretly hiding the crops there with a plan to sell it for money. With Moira Dingle’s farm facing closure and the family in crisis, Mack blamed himself for his sister’s situation and wanted to raise the funds.

But he left Ross and Lewis furious when he secretly told Ray about the crops and took him to see them. Lewis refused to sell to him, with it soon clear Ray was a dealer.

As the end of the episode approached though, the crops vanished and one person was thought to be to blame. Ross accused Mack, believing he’d stolen them and sold them onto Ray like he’d initially suggested.

But Mack protested his innocence and insisted he had nothing to do with it. Ross didn’t believe him, with Mack saying he planned to take it but had cold feet.

He told Ross to call Ray from his phone knowing he’d prove he was innocent, before he then showed him messages that showed he was not in contact with the dealer all day. They both then feared Lewis had actually fled to Leeds with the crops to sell them on.

But when Lewis returned home Ross asked him about it, and he had no idea what he was talking about. Ross then had to explain the weed was gone, leaving his sibling horrified.

As Lewis questioned whether Mack was to blame wanting answers, Ross shared his determination to track down the real culprit. But soon enough the camera panned to Ray who was asking someone about selling drugs, and soon we saw the stolen crops in the back of a van.

It was none other than Robert Sugden who then stepped forward and was confirmed to be the person who stole the drugs and then sold them for a huge amount to Ray without telling Lewis, Mack or Ross. He’d come across the weed while working on the farm, before selling them on for the cash.

He told Ray there would be no other dealings, most likely because Lewis now had nothing left. Then he made it clear he planned to “cause mayhem” wanting to use the money to do so, so what does he have up his sleeve?

Either way, it’s bad news for Ross as his relationship with Lewis is now at risk because of the whole drama, and him getting Mack involved – leading to Ray and Robert being able to steal everything. Ross is also set to face drama when he confronts Robert about the theft, with Robert threatening to ditch his deal with Moira as a result – so will Ross bring more trouble to Moira’s door?

Carol McGiffin tears into Loose Women and says she knows reason behind ITV budget cuts

Former Loose Women star Carol McGiffin has slammed the ITV show and others including This Morning and Good Morning Britain as ‘rubbish’

Carol McGiffin hasn’t held back in her criticism of ITV’s daytime lineup, branding shows like Loose Women, This Morning, and Good Morning Britain as “rubbish” and out of touch with audiences.

Speaking on Dan Wootton’s Outspoken podcast, the former Loose Women regular, who appeared on and off between 2000 and 2023, slammed ITV for reportedly trying to win back viewers by bringing in influencers.

“They can stand there and say, ‘The reason that we’re suffering is because of online TV, people don’t watch TV anymore, they go online for news or entertainment or anything, or streaming services,’” she said. “Maybe it’s just because it’s rubbish and they just aren’t very good at it anymore. They don’t consider that.”

Carol returned to Loose Women with high hopes, but was left disappointed. “When I went back to Loose Women, I thought, ‘This is great, we might be able to make Loose Women great again.’ But it just proved completely impossible.”

She added: “Sometimes, if I’ve ever seen anything on This Morning or on YouTube or whatever, you just think, ‘This is ridiculous! This is not popular. This is not what people want.’”

Taking aim at ITV’s strategy, she said: “They really don’t know what people want, and they tell them what they want all the time and they give it to them and force it down their throats.”

She also criticized ITV’s assumption that influencers would attract younger viewers: “A lot of young people never watch television… The fact that ITV thinks, ‘If we get all these young influencers on, everyone’s going to start watching daytime TV,’ is just ridiculous.”

Addressing recent job cuts and shortened programming – Loose Women will air just 30 weeks a year from 2026 – Carol said she feels “really bad” for those affected but questioned the dramatic reactions from her former co-stars.

Carol has slammed Loose Women as 'rubbish'

“The Loose Women are apparently raging about it – I haven’t spoken to any of them about it. They are like, ‘We were kept in the dark.’ They never know what’s going on. Loose Women is the poor relation so is suffering the most.”

She added: “I do feel for them, but I don’t buy into this, ‘All their worlds have fallen apart because this show has ended.’ Hang on a minute – what did you expect? Did you think it was just going on forever? Especially in the way it is.”

Carol’s comments come as ITV is making significant cuts to its daytime programming, including reducing the number of weeks that Loose Women and Lorraine air, as well as merging the production teams behind Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women.

These changes are part of a broader cost-cutting effort, which will also see some presenters like Andi Peters and Jeff Brazier no longer sent on location for competitions. The changes have led to staff redundancies and concerns about the future of the shows.

As Matty Healy prepares to headline Glastonbury, his mum Denise Welch will be proudly watching on, years after their relationship was tested by depression and addiction

Matty Healy is preparing to do what he does best – command a stage and stir up headlines. The 1975 frontman will lead the band through a highly anticipated Pyramid Stage set tonight, performing in front of thousands of fans. But among the sea of faces, there’s one he’ll be looking for; proud mum, Loose Women star Denise Welch, watching from the side lines.

Appearing on Loose Women, Denise shared her excitement, saying: “For those who don’t know, my son is the lead singer for The 1975 and they are headlining Glastonbury on Friday. Obviously, I’m an incredibly proud mum.

“You’ve got to remember the band has been together for 23 years. They started in our garage as 12 and 13-year-old boys. Some of the songs they’ll be playing, Matty was writing at 15 and 16,” she added, before admitting she still doesn’t know all the lyrics.

Despite not being a festival person, Denise joked she’ll be there to cheer her son on though “as VIP as possible.”

Their bond is stronger than ever now, but it wasn’t always this way. Denise has spoken candidly about her struggles with alcohol and drug addiction, and the impact it had on her family.

“I did lots of things wrong. Matty and I had to have a come-to-Jesus about the things I was in denial about how my behaviour had impacted him,” she shared. “But he also said, ‘Then again, Mum, if our house wasn’t a bit rock and roll, I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing’.”

Denise also opened up about suffering postnatal depression after Matty was born. Just days after bonding with her newborn, she spiralled into panic attacks and numbness.

“I couldn’t love anything. I felt nothing,” she recalled. “I didn’t hate the child, I didn’t want anything to happen to him. It was just like, why is this child here?”

With the support of her own mother, she was eventually able to rebuild that connection. Years later, Matty would write She Lays Down, a song inspired by her experience.

“I told him when he was older that depression robbed me of the ability to love, and I used to lay down on the bedroom floor and pray for the ability to love my children again,” she said.

These days, Denise regularly shares her pride for Matty and the band, reflecting on how far they’ve come – from teenage gigs in their garage to the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury. And after everything they’ve faced together, their bond is stronger than ever, with Denise cheering the loudest from the VIP section as her son takes his biggest stage yet.

  • Heartbreaking reason 1975’s Matt Healy and mum Denise Welch ‘didn’t bond’ at first

Heartbreaking reason 1975’s Matt Healy and mum Denise Welch ‘didn’t bond’ at first

Loose Women’s Denise Welch opened up about the true extent of her battle with depression, following the birth of her first son, 1975 frontman, Matty Healy

    Denise Welch
Denise Welch opened up about her depression on the Loose Women podcast

Denise Welch said she “lost the ability” to love her first son Matty Healy, due to her battle with postnatal depression.

Matty, who is the frontman of one of this year’s Glastonbury headliners The 1975, is the eldest of Denise’s two sons with her ex-husband Tim Healy.

Speaking on the Loose Women podcast, the panellist recalled being “the typical blooming mum” during pregnancy who was not anxious about having a baby, until her mental health took a turn.

Denise said while she “immediately” bonded with Matty, now 35, after a difficult 42-hour labour, she lost control of her emotions five days into being a mother.

The 66-year-old explained: “I was going through the emotions of smiling, and I went to bed that night and I had the first panic attack I’d ever had in my entire life, from nowhere. It wasn’t because I was anxious, it was from nowhere.

“When I got up from maybe a two-hour sleep, I had gone to bed with full breastfeeding boobs, and I woke up with Spaniel’s ears.

“All of my milk had gone, the whole lactation process had stopped and the depression set in.”

Denise describes that feeling at the time as “blackness” which “rose from the bottom” and she was later told she was “between postnatal depression and puerperal psychosis”.

“So I was in and out of lucidity as to, who is this child?”, she continued.

At one point, the Loose Women star said her mother had found her trying to crawl out of the window in the lounge, which was followed by a visit from medics.

Because of her illness, Denise “lost the ability to love” Matty, adding: “I couldn’t love anything, I felt nothing.”

The actress went on to praise her “incredible” mum who encouraged her to prepare the bottles for Matty and feed him when needed, in a bid to get her to bond with him.

“She knew that he needed feeding every four hours, and I had no natural inclination to pick up this child,” she explained.

“I didn’t hate the child, I didn’t want anything to happen to it, it was just like, why is this child here?”

Denise said she began to see “light at the end of the tunnel” once prescribed medication for what she calls the “unwelcome visitor”, and admits to still having good and bad days.

Reflecting on the pair’s current bond now, she added: “I’m so lucky that we are, you know, Matty and I have a great relationship. It’s so nice considering the start of it.”

The singer has since written a song about his mum’s depression titled She Lays Down, based on his adult view of her illness.

With his band, Matty will be bringing their greatest hits to the stage as one of the headliners at this year’s Glastonbury.

Announced on Thursday, other artists taking to the stage in June include Neil Young, Olivia Rodrigo and the legend Sir Rod Stewart.

Lorraine Kelly was forced to hit back at viewers on Thursday after some suggested she had undergone ‘fillers’

Lorraine Kelly had to set the record straight on Thursday, hitting back at viewers who claimed she’d had ‘fillers’ after her ‘swollen face’ sparked concern among fans.

The 65-year-old ITV presenter joined the Loose Women panel as a guest and opened up about sporting a black eye, which had fans reaching out with messages of concern.

Linda Robson, one of the panellists, remarked, “You’ve got a bit of a shiner haven’t you” prompting Lorraine to share the comical mishap: “I have! I will explain, yesterday, you know as women we try to do too many things at one time and we try to do it really fast?”

She recounted the incident, saying: “I had a massive bag of washing, a huge big washing basket, I couldn’t see and was going from the kitchen to the living room, where there’s a wee step, and my slippers are too big, I fell over and then I fell onto a rhino – as you do! I hit my face on it!”

Despite the fall, Lorraine praised her makeup artist for covering up the bruise: “I thought I’d be fine and I woke up this morning with the biggest shiner, this big black eye, I thought I won’t say anything, I won’t say anything and Helen, our fantastic make-up artist, has actually done a brilliant job! Hasn’t she done a great job?”

When asked about the pain, Lorraine downplayed it: “It’s okay… it’s a wee tiny bit but I just feel a bit silly! Also, can I just say, somebody phoned in and said: ‘Have I had fillers’… no!”, reports Bristol Live.

She added: “A lot of people were very kindly, a lot of folks were saying: ‘Are you okay?’, ‘have you got an allergy?’ Our viewers are so lovely! They were like: ‘You should try this!’”.

Finally, Lorraine clarified the cause of her injury, insisting: “It’s not an allergy, it’s not fillers!”

It comes as Lorraine had a packed schedule on Thursday, starting with hosting her eponymous show, Lorraine, which airs weekdays at 9am on ITV. The episode featured a range of guests, including supermodel Twiggy and The Only Way Is Essex’s Pete Wicks.

Additionally, Lorraine made an appearance on This Morning to discuss their newly launched initiative, March4March. She has previously expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign, saying: “I’m so pleased we are launching a campaign dedicated to destigmatizing the conversation around mental health.

“I’m so grateful to the amazing names who’ve already agreed to bravely share their stories and pledge their support for such a worthy cause.

“I’m looking forward to getting out walking and talking and I look forward to taking our amazing viewers along with me.”

The TV personality turns 60 on Wednesday, however her fellow co-stars celebrated her milestone birthday today by sneaking her three kids into the studio audience. However, Coleen shared how it had been the “worst day of [her] life” up until that point, having been kept in her dressing room all morning and blindfolded.

“Oh my God!” Coleen said through tears as she hugged her kids. “Is this why I’ve been kept prisoner all day? So far, I’ve had the worst day of my life. They literally locked me in the dressing room. ‘Can I go to the toilet?’ ‘No.’” When asked whether it was a surprise, she said: “Was it a genuine surprise? Are you mad? No, I always cry like this.”

Meanwhile, Strictly Come Dancing’s Pete Wicks – who took part in the Real Full Monty with Coleen – sent in a birthday message via video. “Just a quick message to say happy birthday Coleen – I hope you have a fabulous day,” he said. “Who’d have thought a couple of years ago when you saw me naked, we would become such great friends? Wayne Rooney made sure to reference his fellow football icons as he holidayed with his stunning wife Coleen. The Manchester United legend, 39, decided to take inspiration from David Beckham and Erling Haaland as he relaxed in the Ibiza sun.

Cheeky Wayne, 39, showed his fun side as he rocked a very unusual hairdo under his black cap while sipping drinks with Coleen and former Manchester United star Michael Carrick. Wayne was seen with a braided blonde lock coming out the back of his cap, which looked strikingly similar to Haaland’s updo and Beckham’s once-long ponytail. But, unlike his footie pals natural locks, Wayne appears to have taken a more unusual method to transform his hair – with the help of a curtain tie!

The former footballer appeared in high spirits as he chatted away to his pals and took time to pose for selfies with fans. It seemed Coleen was impressed with Wayne’s new look as she laughed away while lounging in the sun.

The I’m A Celebrity star, 39, looked sensational in a black two-piece bikini as the couple enjoyed some well deserved time together without their four kids. She made sure to keep cool by sipping on fruity drinks and sported a pair of large black sunglasses.

Coleen also topped up her sun cream throughout the day as she enjoyed spending time with Wayne and their friends. In a sweet moment, Wayne planted a kiss on Coleen’s head proving their love is as strong as ever.

Earlier in the week, Coleen rocked a zigzag patterned matching bikini as she walked along the sunny beach with her long brown locks tied into a loose bun. She arrived at the beach house in her bikini and a brown crocheted cover-up.

The TV star also had all her personal items in a large Prada tote bag. At one point, she was pictured sitting down on the lounger to top up her tan while Wayne was elsewhere on his phone. He was seen carrying what looked to be a packet of snus tobacco pouches in his hand.

Their current Ibiza holiday follows a rocky year for both, with Wayne recently stepping away from his managerial role at Birmingham City, and Coleen focusing on family life and her successful brand ventures.

It seems the break has come at a good time for the couple, who have been married since 2008, as they prepare for their children to take the next step in the spotlight. They are said to be making sure Kai is “protected” from fame, with the teenager already having a glittering football career ahead of him.

Coleen and Wayne also have sons Klay, 11, Kit, nine, and Cass, seven. However, Coleen is wary of her sons being thrust into the limelight at a young age, after witnessing how fame affected Wayne when he was just 16-years-old.

She has been a constant support to Wayne despite their marriage being on the brink in 2017. It came after reporters discovered the ex-footballer had been pulled over behind the wheel of another woman’s car while he was three times over the drink-drive limit.

Wayne met Laura Simpson at a bar before joining her for a drive in her VW Beetle. During her Disney+ documentary, Coleen Rooney: The Real Wagatha Story, Coleen said: “I’ve had that feeling in my stomach a few times and I would never wish anyone to feel that.

“You do think, do I actually know this person, when things like that happen. Y’know, you’re not the person I married and the person I want you to be.”

Sir David Beckham has now returned home after undergoing surgery, with his wife Victoria Beckham having shared an update on the retired footballer this evening. It comes following the news earlier that he had been in hospital.

This morning, Victoria, 51, shared a photo of David, 50, lying in a hospital bed with his arm in a sling. It’s since been reported that he had surgery to address a broken wrist that he sustained more than 20 years ago in a football match.

Hours after her post, Victoria has now suggested that he’s back home from hospital following the apparent procedure. This evening, she shared footage of David stood in the couple’s kitchen in a post on her Instagram Story.

The video shows David, still sporting a sling and bandaging on his arm, at a counter which had lettuce and cucumbers on. He’s seen looking at the produce as Victoria says from behind the camera: “So this weekend’s vegetable content.”

Providing a close-up, Victoria adds in the clip: “Look – he’s overperforming on the cucumber front.” David looks unimpressed before his wife continues by telling viewers: “Look at this!” She then begins to say: “Are they all from the …”

David is then heard reacting to her comment: “I’m not sure you can say that, darling!” Moments later though, he is seen holding up one of the cucumbers as he grins at his wife. Victoria is heard laughing as the footage then comes to an end.

Victoria had announced earlier that David was recovery from an undisclosed health issue. She shared a photo of him lying in a hospital bed wearing a gown and a sling. She wrote over the photo this morning: “Get well soon Daddy.”

She later shared another photo that gave a glimpse at a gift he had seemingly been given amid his hospitalisation. The photo showed a bracelet that consisted of various beads spelling out “get well soon” in a message to her husband.

Victoria didn’t provide any details about why her husband was in hospital in her posts this morning. It’s however since been reported that he had surgery recently on his wrist.

Following the news, a source told the Mirror that David underwent ‘secret’ surgery to repair a broken wrist. He’s said to have sustained the injury during a friendly match against South Africa in 2003 prior to his retirement as a footballer.

The source said: “It had been giving him problems recently and so he wanted to get it fixed.” They added at the time that he planned to check out of the hospital soon.

It was also suggested by the source that David “hoped” to be able to travel to the US in time for Inter Miami’s next match. His team will take on his former club Paris Saint-Germain in a game in the FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday.

Taylor Swift fans spot ‘clue’ Matty Healy took aim at singer during Glastonbury performance

The 1975 fans think they spotted a very subtle swipe at Taylor Swift during their Glastonbury headliner performance as lead singer Matty Healy made a ‘poet’ reference

Matty Healy had fans believing he took a cheeky swipe at ex Taylor Swift on stage at Glastonbury – as his fiancée Gabriette watched on.

The singer – son of Loose Women panellist Denise Welch and actor Tim Healy – headlined the Pyramid Stage with his band The 1975 to mixed reviews on Friday night.

Despite vowing never to write about his past relationships, unlike his famous ex, Matty shared what appeared to be a subtle joke about his time with the Shake It Off hitmaker.

“I’m probably the best songwriter of my generation — the best,” he told the crowd on Worthy Farm. “What do we say? A poet.” He teased in an apparent dig at Taylor’s album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Matty hit headlines across the world in 2023 when he enjoyed a brief romantic relationship with a newly-single Taylor. Their union fizzled out within weeks but was enough to inspire the Blank Space singer to mention Healy in a number of tracks on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Many fans thought his “poet” reference was a dig at Taylor as one said: “Has Matty just made a Tortured Poets dig?!” Another added: “why is he trying to get clout from ttpd.” Someone else commented: “Way to be relevant: Come for Taylor unprovoked. Works every time.”

On a podcast in October, Matty seemingly revealed he would not be producing a musical reply to Taylor’s swipes – saying that he is “not interested in” writing about the “casual romantic liaisons” he has “become known for”.

“If I made a record about, I don’t know, all the stuff that was said about me, or my casual romantic liaisons, or my, whatever it may be, that I’ve kind of become known for, just because I was famous,” he mused.

“I think that’s an obvious thing to draw from. I’m just not interested in it. And I think that the maintenance of the status quo is something that I always fight against.

“So the idea of making a record about something that personally happened to me, that by the time I put it out is going to be like, two years old. I see people doing that as well, and it’s just not interesting.”

The 1975’s performance at Glastonbury this week has been met with divided opinions by fans. Singer Matty opened the set holding a pint of Guinness he didn’t seem to drink, with a cigarette in the other hand.

Fans took to social media to share their opinions of the gig. One wrote: “Matty Healy swaggering about with a pint he’s no intention of drinking is the most annoying thing I’ve ever seen.”

Another said: “Matty Healy trolls on stage at Glastonbury: ‘I’m probably the best songwriter of my generation — the best, what do we say? A poet.’”

“Matty Healy carrying a pint of Guinness around to appear relatable and has not drunk a single sip in 10 minutes,” another added.

However, there were plenty of viewers that loved the show. One commented: “I do understand why Matty Healy is a polarising character but I think The 1975 are a brilliant band with sharp songwriting, brilliant diversity in sound & excellent musicianship. Still my favourites!”
