Former England rugby star Mike Tindall has told how he was woken up by police officers in riot gear after being caught on CCTV “struggling to get to the doorway”

Rugby legend Mike Tindall has shared a hilarious story about how his wife Zara got revenge on him after a late night out.

Mike, who had a coaching clinic to attend the next morning, had been out with a friend and was struggling to get back to his mother-in-law Princess Anne’s flat at St James’ Palace, where he was staying.

Zara, determined to get him up and ready, enlisted the help of the palace police, who burst into the room in full riot gear, complete with machine guns, and ordered Mike to get moving. Mike said: “I was meant to be there in 45 minutes. My friend rings up Zara, who phoned the police post at the palace.

“They started giggling, saying they saw me at 4am on video cameras struggling to get to the doorway. She says, “I don’t care what you do. He needs to be in North London in 35 minutes.”

He continued: “Next thing, five guys in full riot gear with machine guns come in saying, “Get up, get up”. ‘I was, like, “F***!” And in three minutes, I was in the back of a cab, with the police waving me off.’”

Mike shared the amusing anecdote at a charity fundraiser for DEBRA, which supports those living with epidermolysis bullosa (EB), reports Gloucestershire Live.

Zara and Mike got married in July 2011 at Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh. The reception was held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse and reportedly included a vodka fountain. Mike was reportedly met with a particular request from his mother-in-law, Princess Anne, about his appearance.

The former rugby star had suffered numerous injuries over his career, resulting in a notably misshapen nose after breaking it at least eight times.

While on Sky’s A League of Their Own, he shared that Anne had suggested he get surgery before his wedding, an idea he initially turned down but later reconsidered. In a 2022 chat on Loose Women with Vernon Kay, Mike explained the real reason behind his decision to undergo surgery.

Vernon remarked: “Your nose was literally underneath your left eye from rugby. It wasn’t just for looks you had it done?” To which Mike responded: “No, I was stopping breathing during sleep, so it needed to be done. I also had my teeth done but that was because they were crossed and looked like a bag of chips.”

It was previously reported that Zara Tindall could possibly become William’s Princess Anne in a slimmed down monarchy when he eventually takes the throne.

Angela Mollard, a columnist for News Corp, speaking on Sky News Australia, said: “This commentary that’s happening is, ‘Is William making the right decisions around slimming it down?’

“I think he’s not, and to your point Louise (Roberts) earlier about that really close relationship between him and Zara, you’re absolutely right; they are the best of friends.”

Loose Women star Denise Welch opened up on her time with Ricky Tomlinson as the veteran actor joined the panel for discussion on the popular ITV talk show

Denise Welch had the Loose Women panel in stitches as she recalled the time she worked with legendary actor Ricky Tomlinson.

Co-hosts Ruth Langsford, Kelly Brook and Ayda Field joined the Geordie actress on the infamous ITV panel show for a special edition focusing on the Oscars party. As they all dressed for the golden and glamorous theme, the women invited Scouse star Ricky to the stage to speak about the key highlights of his career.

The actor, now 85, who is best known for playing character Jim Royle in The Royle Family, as well as starring in soap opera Brookside as Bobby Grant and DCI Charlie Wise from Cracker, gushed over his success. It led to Denise posing a cheeky question, saying: “Obviously, it’s Oscars day, who would you say in the whole of your career – and it’s been a really long and wonderful career – was your favourite leading lady?” jokingly pointing to herself.

Charmingly, Ricky took her hand and, after kissing the back of it, replied: “I can’t remember her name!” which caused the co-host to burst into laughter. Denise then added: “We did three series of a show called Down to Earth and Ricky and I were husband and wife. We spent three years, pretty much, in Cornwall together and I have never laughed and gone through as many panty pads in my entire life, I can tell you.”

Ricky added: “I’ve been so lucky, I’ve worked with so many people and I know nothing about show business. I was a political prisoner and I didn’t star in the game until my late 40s.” He went on to reminisce how little he knew about the industry when he asked someone “are you in show business?” Shockingly, it turned out Ricky had indeed posed the question to Robert De Niro.

Ricky worked as a plasterer before his stint in showbiz. He took part in the UK’s first national building workers’ strike in 1972 as workers hit out at low pay, dangerous working conditions, and unfair employment practices. He went on to spend two years in prison due to his involvement after he was arrested and sentenced.

Last year, during an appearance on The One Show, Ricky caused chaos as he dropped the F-word live on air before the watershed. He had been regaling hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas about his time on the smash-hit Royle Family. Recalling working with co-star Sue Johnstone, who played his beleaguered wife Barb, he said: “When we met, I’d done one job and I bluffed my way into it – a movie with Roland Joffe. He upset me in the audition and I told him to stick it. I hadn’t long been out of jail and he was winding me up in the audition and I told him to stick it and was walking down the stairs and he shouted, ‘I know who you are, you’re Ricky Tomlinson’. And I’m shouting…”

It was then that the actor mouthed “f*** off” in full view of the camera as he shook his fist in the air as though to express his anger from the encounter. The episode was quickly pulled from the BBC’s catch-up service, iPlayer.

On Tuesday’s instalment of Loose Women, the panel were speaking about Meghan Markle’s recently released Netflix series.

Loose Women star Penny Lancaster was caught in an awkward moment during Tuesday’s show. During the episode, the ITV panel were speaking about Meghan Markle’s most recent Netflix series.

The eight-part show features the Duchess of Sussex sharing cooking, gardening, and hosting tips in a gorgeous Californian home. Host Christine Lampard said: “I think there’s always going to be a huge interest in her, and a lot of people will be watching and enjoying it.”

Turning to her co-star, Penny, Christine said: “See, I can imagine you being the perfect hostess. I can imagine you teaching Meghan a few things.”

Chuckling awkwardly, Penny said: “Well, maybe we should just kind of draw the line at this point in the conversation. I think we’ve got to move on to the next subject.”

However, Christine was having none of it as she replied: “No! Penny, I’m not moving on until you tell me what you do. I can imagine your house just smelling gorgeous.”

In the end, Penny shared some insights into her hosting skills, admitting she likes to go the extra mile.

She said: “I think as far as making time for your friends and family, we’re all so busy in our lives so when we do make the time to invite someone over, I do like to create an atmosphere.

“Whether you’re having dinner on your laps in front of a movie or you’re having a more formal sit down, I love to almost walk through the experience.”

Penny wanted to move on from the conversation during Tuesday's show

The ITV star told the panel she enjoys playing music and lighting candles when she has people over. She added, “I like that whole ambience of just gelling everything together, depending on what the occasion is. I love to entertain.”

Liking the sound of how Penny hosts, Christine asked if she could have an invite over to her home as she replied: “Absolutely!” Frankie Bridge joked: “I always light a candle, but it’s because I live with smelly boys!”

Touching on With Love, Meghan, Jane Moore seemed less than impressed with the series. She said: “I was expecting big things, and I was expecting big things because this is a multi, multi-million-pound deal.

“So, a streaming platform like Netflix is going to throw money at something, you expect it’s going to be original, fresh, exciting, revelatory. Sadly, and I’m only speaking from my own personal experience, it was none of these things.

“It’s beautifully shot, she looks amazing, she’s in loads of cream line. I mean, who wears cream-lined when they are cooking? But anyway, she looks great, it’s beautifully shot, a lot of money has clearly been spent on it. But whisper it, it’s boring, I just found it boring.”

Olivia Bowen announces baby’s gender as pregnant star breaks down in tears on Loose Women

Olivia Bowen and her husband Alex appeared on ITV show Loose Women on Tuesday with a lovely update after sadly announcing they’d lost one of the twins they were expecting

Pregnant Love Island star Olivia Bowen broke down in tears on ITV’s Loose Women on Tueday as she spoke about her baby heartache before announcing she’s expecting a little girl. The news comes just days after Olivia had reaveled that she and her co-star husband Alex had lost one of their twins due later this year.

The couple met on the hit TV dating series series in 2016 and went on to marry and they now have a two-year-old son called Abel. Last month they excitedly posted a sweet video sharing the news that they were expecting twins. But just days ago Olivia made the heartbreaking revelation that she had lost one of the babies.

She said while having “one safe, healthy baby” filled her with “happiness and joy”, she felt “excruciating pain and trauma” over the loss of the twin.

Appearing on Loose Women alongside her husband, Olivia was comforted by host Christine Lampard after breaking down in tears as she spoke about the loss but the couple went on to share a video of themselves and Abel announcing that the other baby is a little girl.

Christine introduced the clip before applause rang out around the studio to congratulate the couple. Before they made news of the gender public they spoke about the early discovery that they were expecting twins when they went for a scan at just six weeks.

“I’m quite an anxious person anyway so I was like I’m going for a scan and you were all for it,” said Olivia, who has twins in her family. “I went into the room and as soon as I sat down I could see two babies and not just one and we were floored by that.”

She continued: “As soon as we found out it was twins I was already quite nervous because we’ve not had a great history of twins in our family but you were so positive weren’t you?” she said looking at Alex, who then spoke about how excited he had been at the prospect of being a dad to twins.

For two weeks the couple made plans for becoming a family of five as they looked at baby car seats and bedroom plans.

“We went back at eight weeks and something happened called vanishing syndrome,” said Olivia as she broke down in tears adding that one of the babies didn’t have a heartbeat.

“I’d had no symptoms, I’d had no pain, no bleeding, absolutely nothing to tell me that that was what we were walking into and I guess from that moment we were completely floored. We were expecting to have these two little babies. Vanishing twin syndrome – it can as it just says literally vanish. The one beautiful part of it that I try to hold on to is that they do absorb into your body, those cells become a part of you and that’s what I’ve sort of been holding on to.”

Olivia went on to say the scan was a “bittersweet rollercoaster of emotions” as they were also told the other baby was healthy and she said they’re “so excited” to meet their baby girl.

The pair are keen to raise the profile of miscarriage in the hope that others in a similar situation won’t be afraid to speak about their loss and grieve alone.

“It’s becoming easier by speaking about it with other women and that’s what we wanted to do and especially Alex being a dad as I haven’t seen many men talking about it – we just want to change that perception of not being able to talk about miscarriage openly.”

Loose Women’s Ayda Field in tears during emotions tribute to her mum amid cancer battle

Ayda Field returned to the panel of ITV’s Loose Women on Monday for a special episode in celebration to the Oscars – and became overcome with emotion as she spoke about her mother

Ayda Field became overcome with emotion as she paid tribute to her mother during an Oscars special of Loose Women.

The 45-year-old was a regular panelist on ITV’s lunchtime talk show from 2016 until 2019 – and began appearing on the show at semi-regular intervals since 2024. On Monday, Ayda joined the show once again for a special episode basking in the glow of the 2025 Oscars – which took place in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

Ayda, whose husband, Robbie Williams, missed out on being nominated for an Oscar for a song from his film, Better Man, became emotional when conversation turned to family members. She became tearful as she paid tribute to her mother, the American film producer Gwen Field, who was in the live studio audience.

The emotional turn of events were sparked when moderator Ruth Langsford, 64, asked those on the panel to reveal who they would chose as their Best Supporting Star, if they were running some awards of their own. Denise Welch, 66, and Kelly Brook, 45, both explained that they would choose their respective parents – while Ayda broke down in tears as she discussed her mother, who is battling Parkinsons and Lupus.

She said: ‘I’m very grateful that my mum is here. You will have heard me talk about my mum and her battle with cancer right now. My mum has always been my best friend, my fiercest rock, my sounding board, my steady Eddy.”

She continued: “Even in this chapter, my mum is teaching me the most profound, beautiful lessons and I just feel very grateful, you’re my hero.” The audience then erupted into applause, and Ayda stepped out towards her mother who she gave a huge hug to.

On Sunday night, Robbie missed out on a chance to be nominated for an Oscar following the release of his biopic, Better Man. The film told the story of the former Take That star’s rise to prominence – but a creative decision was made to showcase him as a CGI monkey rather than have an actor portray his appearance.

A song was created as part of the film, titled Forbidden Road, and it was submitted to be nominated for the Best Music (Original Song) award. While the song was initially in the running, it was later disqualified when it became apparent the track featured a sample of an older song, thus making it unqualified as an original new offering.

Robbie expressed his disappointment about the ruling, telling Deadline ahead of the Golden Globes in January: “Listen, the rules are the rules, and you have to go by them. And it would’ve been nice, but as an introvert it’s another party that I don’t have to go to. I went through it, I’m on the other side and it’s all good. I’m at the Globes and they’re showing me loads of love.”

The category was won on Sunday night by the song El Mal from the film Emilia Pérez with music by Clément Ducol and Camille and lyrics by Clément Ducol, Camille, and Jacques Audiard. Fellow musicians Diane Warren, Abraham Alexander, Adrian Quesada, Brandi Carlile, Andrew Watt, Bernie Taupin and Sir Elton John had also been in the running for the award.

  • Kim Woodburn accuses Gino D’Acampo of ‘vile’ behaviour on I’m a Celebrity

Kim Woodburn accuses Gino D’Acampo of ‘vile’ behaviour on I’m a Celebrity

Kim Woodburn has called Gino D’Acampo “a horrible, vile man” while accusing him of inappropriate behaviour on I’m a Celebrity.

D’Acampo has found himself at the centre of a firestorm after ITV News reported dozens of allegations against the TV chef, describing “unacceptable”, “distressing” and “horrendous” behaviour over a 12-year period. He has strongly denied all wrongdoing.

The latest star to wade in on the subject is How Clean is Your House star Woodburn, who appeared alongside D’Acampo on ITV series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2009.

Woodburn, who finished in second place behind winner D’Acampo, claimed she was left feeling uncomfortable by her campmate’s alleged repeated reference to his penis.

“He used to stand over a log and stroke his privates over his shorts,” she told The Sun. “He’d talk to his penis saying, ‘I know you haven’t had any sex, but when you get out of here, you will get so much.’”

Woodburn continued: “He would say his privates were being deprived and neglected, and his wife would give him a good seeing to when he got home. We would all just turn away.

“It made me uncomfortable because it was vile and crude. It’s not appropriate to do that in front of women.”

She also accused ITV bosses of giving him a “good edit”, which led to his win – claiming that he actually treated the filming crew “like garbage” after he bent the rules during one of the show’s Bushtucker Trials.

“His language to the crew was disgusting. He cheated, called this producer a ‘f***ing bastard’ and ‘c***’, then refused to leave the set,” she alleged, calling him “a full-of-himself little pig”.

She continued: “We had to stop filming while two men took him by the arm and forced him off the set back to the camp. They should have thrown him off the show. Ghastly it was.”

The Independent has contacted D’Acampo for comment.

The chef, who has been dropped by ITV, has denied claims that he made sexualised comments and gestures to female employees behind the scenes of his popular programmes.

He said earlier this week: “I have never been made aware of these matters previously and the allegations are firmly denied. I would not do anything that I thought would upset or distress anyone. This is simply not in my nature. I do not recognise the version of events being put to me.

“Not only have these allegations never been raised with me before, I have been repeatedly supported by executives at the highest level and was commissioned on prime-time programmes during the period in which it is now suggested I was acting inappropriately.

“I take such matters extremely seriously and the suggestion that I have acted in an improper way against is deeply upsetting.”

Colin Jackson on waiting to come out after anxiety battle – ‘I had enough issues going on’

Athletics hero Colin Jackson was plagued by rumours about his private life throughout his athletics career – but it was the least of the Olympic champion’s worries

    Colin with a BBQ

For years, Colin Jackson pushed back against suggestions he was gay – shutting down speculation about his sexuality in his autobiography – before casually coming out to the world at the age of 50 in 2017.

The Strictly Come Dancing star was far from living in the closet before talking publicly about his sexuality, with the former world record holder loved and supported privately by his family and friends in the wake of a kiss and tell in 2007.

Olympic champion Colin has no regrets about the timing of sharing his personal life publicly as he was actually fighting other heartbreaking battles behind closed doors.

The intrusive speculation about his romantic relationships was actually the least of the former sprint and hurdling athlete’s worries as he juggled mental health struggles alongside achieving sporting greatness.

But does Colin think his story may have been different had he been competing in this day and age? Colin ended his athletics career at the 2003 World Indoor Championships – 10 years before the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Act 2013 was introduced. Attitudes have changed since people speculated about Colin’s sexuality at the height of his career.

So does he wonder if he might have come out publicly sooner had he been competing in 2025?

“I think it would be quite similar for me personally, because I think it’s always everybody’s individual stories and how they want to perceive themselves and tell themselves,” Colin muses.

During his career representing Great Britain, he won an Olympic silver medal, became world champion twice, world indoor champion once, was undefeated at the European Championships for 12 years and was twice Commonwealth champion.

But away from the track, Colin was battling multiple unseen battles. Struggling with anxiety, bulimia, anorexia and body dysmorphia with the whole world’s eyes on him, the Olympic hero didn’t want to draw even more attention to himself by discussing his personal life publicly.

“I don’t think [coming out] would have changed that much for me because I was solely focused on my athletics, on my sport, and nothing really deviated from that,” he recalls. “I mean, I had enough issues going on as it was with the anxieties and then to add another layer on it, would have absolutely blown my brain, to be honest.”

Colin’s anxieties intensified when he retired from athletics at the age of 36. Having “only done two things in my life, go to school and run”, he recalls worrying about how he was going to fill the years ahead.

“The anxiety just poured on me, thinking ‘well, what am I going to do with the rest of my life’, because I have nothing to fill the void that was so filled previously, and I had huge anxieties about that,” Colin shares when looking back.

    Colin at a BBQ
Colin got help after speaking out and he wants other men to do the same (Image: Sean Collymore)

When his anxieties started to present physical symptoms: “It was like I was having a heart attack, you know, the deep breathing, the sweating” – Colin went to see his GP, who diagnosed the champion with anxiety.

“So you’re not having a heart attack, you’re literally just suffering from anxiety, so be aware of it,” Colin recalls his doctor telling him. “ And then he started to teach me some coping mechanisms in how to calm my nerves, calm my environment, and start to recognise what were the triggers for the anxieties for me personally, and it could be literally anything and come from nowhere.”

Although Colin has a better grip on his triggers these days, he is still conscious about the danger of bottling things up – particularly for men.

In 2023, over 6,000 lives were lost to suicide in the UK – 75% of them men. New statistics claim that 44% of men have had fewer than two meaningful personal conversations with a male friend in the past year.

With this in mind, Colin has partnered with SPAR to launch a national campaign encouraging men to open up and speak about their feelings – even via something as simple as a summer BBQ.

“It never stops and you know and what I say to people is that we all have brains and they function in all different ways and the chemicals that are in our brains are all different in that sense,” Colin explains when discussing his own journey with mental health struggles.

“So different environments will trigger certain emotions and feelings, and they could be all sorts. I was coming from a sport which was all about body image, and I was struggling with how I looked.

“I suffered from bulimia, anorexia, and body dysmorphia. I had all these things which are all still mental health issues that I was trying to cope with as well as race and compete against the best in the world.

“It was a huge amount of pressure on some young shoulders and now when I look back at that younger me, I just go, how did you cope? And in the end, I coped by speaking.

“That was it in the end, you know, I had to find the people that were going to listen to me and were willing to listen to me. So you can understand now how this campaign is so, so close to me, because we can reach so many people with this particular story with SPAR.”

This Morning star, 52, gives birth to fourth child and shares unusual name

A This Morning star has given birth to her fourth child at the age of 52 and she took to social media to share some sweet photos and the tot’s unusual name

This Morning expert and psychologist Emma Kenny has welcomed her fourth child at the age of 52. The TV star, who is married to her 34 year old husband Pete, has added a baby girl to her brood.

Emma took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her baby daughter Ella-Grey and shared a string of sweet photos. In the post, Emma announced: “Say hi Ella-Grey And then we were six! Say hello Ella-Grey! This morning she entered the world with a very loud cry. The Royal Bolton hospital have been fantastic and ensured that we have both been looked after brilliantly.”

The TV star is already a mum to children Tyde, 22, Evan, 20, and Etta-Blue, who she welcomed in 2023. The arrival of Emma’s fourth child was tinged with sadness for Emma, who lost her mum “suddenly” a few weeks before she gave birth. Explaining more about her loss, she said: “I lost my mum suddenly a couple of weeks back, and it’s really strange knowing that neither of my babies will get to know their grandparents…..they would have loved them as older my boys did before them.”

Emma welcomed her first two children two decades ago – two boys – and she now has two younger children, one 23 months and one just born, and both of them are girls.

“Ella-Grey has been lying on me all day, she latched on immediately and is as wonderful as I imagined she would be…..but like her sister…..I am blindsided that she is a girl,” she said.

“So, now I have two very big boys of 20 and 22, and two tiny girls aged 1 day and 23 months.” She explained she had struggled in the wake of her father’s sad death and thought she would never be happy again.

“When my dad took his life in 2019, I never thought I would be happy again, but in truth I couldn’t have been more wrong, I’ve learnt we are more than simply built to withstand suffering, we are programmed to learn, and grow, and develop courage through it. I cannot change what happened but I can embrace the gifts that grief brought me,” she wrote.

To conclude her post, she thanked those who had stood by her in the dark times. She said: “Thank you to all of you who have spent years supporting me. You stood beside me in the dark times and you gave me so many new career directions that these days I don’t need invites off the MSM! Thank you, all of you, for so much more than you could possibly know xxx.”

Fans and friends rushed to congratulate her on the baby’s arrival. One wrote: “Massive congrats! You are such a massive inspiration :),” whilst another added: “Awww congratulations to you both, your girls will be besties! It is hard when the younger ones don’t get to know your parents the same way as older siblings, I feel my youngest missed out on so much too, best wishes to your lovely family.”

Ruth Langsford had a sweet message for Emma and her partner, writing: “Congratulations both” whilst Natasha Hamilton also shared: “So happy for you Emma – what a beautiful little girl, huge congratulations to you all xxx.”

The TV star had been keeping her pregnancy underwraps until last week – when she shared a post on her Instagram to reveal she was nine months pregnant. Showing off her bump while filming herself stood in front of a mirror, Emma told her fans: “Last show before I give birth! 9 months pregnant, quite happy to go into labour on stage….so any of you with health care qualifications at my Killer Couples, Liverpool Empire show tonight please be prepared!

Revealing her plans to return to work in just a few weeks, she continued: “Back on stage in September…..but for now it’s time for baby, 2 year old, filming YouTube and Facebook and going on a road trip to Italy the minute this babies fast track passport arrives! X.”

This pregnancy isn’t the only one she has kept private, as she also hid her pregnancy with her third child Etta-Blue, who she welcomed into the world in 2023.

Shortly after giving birth to her third tot, Emma previously admitted she was “selfish” for becoming a mum again in her 50s, but said she was loving every second. Speaking to OK! magazine in 2023 about the birth of her third child, Emma revealed: “I felt a great deal of selfishness all the way up until giving birth.

“There are moments when I think, ‘I wish I could have another 20 years with etta.’ I could beat myself up about it, but my best friend died at 43, so you don’t always get the time that’s promised to you. I’ll have conversations with Etta about it as she gets older.”

Emma went through 10 years of gruelling IVF to conceive daughter Etta and sadly went through several miscarriages. She said previously: “For 10 years I tried to have her and failed constantly. I’ll have to process my grief over the fact that I couldn’t have her at 42 or 45.

“I feel I’ve had years stolen from my child, but I’m very grateful for having her.”

Denise Van Outen is reportedly “smitten” with her new boyfriend after she was spotted at Glastonbury with him.

It was reported in April, that Denise had struck up a romance with businessman Adam Butler, following her split from property developer Jimmy Barba in late 2023.

And at the weekend, Denise – who shares daughter Betsy, 14, with ex Lee Mead  – made a loved-up appearance with her new beau at Glastonbury.

Denise attended Glastonbury at the weekend to perform a surprise DJ set. She was also spotted in the VIP area, with her reported new beau Adam.

“Denise looks absolutely smitten,” a source told The Sun. They added: “She was holding hands with Adam and they looked like a couple of loved up teenagers.”

The source went on: “Denise was smiling and laughing at his jokes and he was taking real care of her, making sure that other boozy revellers didn’t crash into their path. It’s great to see her looking so happy.”

ED! has contacted Denise’s representatives for comment.

Who is Denise Van Outen in a relationship with?

It’s believed Denise and Adam struck up a romance earlier this year. The pair apparently enjoyed a string of dates before taking things to the next level by heading abroad. The couple enjoyed a sun-soaked Maldives trip in April.

“Denise loved being single and has been so busy with her TV work and DJ-ing but Adam is someone she’s enjoyed spending time with,” a source told The Sun at the time.

    Denise and Jimmy’s split

Denise’s new romance comes two years after her split from Jimmy in November 2023.

“We have decided to part ways but we remain great friends and our families and children are still in touch,” she told The Sun.

“It was a really tough decision to make but Denise knew it was best to end things with Jimmy as the romance ran its course,” a source revealed.

“She’s had a rough few weeks and has thrown herself into work to get over it. Everyone loved and knew him, which made the decision even harder. She feels like she is back to square one now. But she had to follow her gut,” they continued.

Former Strictly star Giovanni Pernice gives huge tour update which may disappoint fans

    Giovanni left Strictly in 2024

Former Strictly star Giovanni Pernice has made a huge career announcement as he will not be heading on tour for a while.

Giovanni left Strictly Come Dancing following allegations of verbal bullying and harassment from his former celebrity dance partner, Amanda Abbington. The BBC launched an investigation, however Giovanni denied the allegations.

But he and fellow Strictly star Anton Du Beke have embarked on their Together Again tour. Fans were excited to keep continue seeing their partnership in person. However, things are about to change as Giovanni has made a huge announcement and teased he “can’t stay away” from Anton.

    Giovanni announces break

Accroding to Express, Giovanni confirmed on stage that this year is the last year of his and Anton’s tour, despite the huge success.

While performing at Guildford’s G Live venue, Giovanni confirmed they will be taking at least one year out from the tour.

Anton joked that the timing of their break isn’t the best as he now faces the financial consequences of fathering twins.

Anton explained to the crowd: “We call our show Together because we like spending time together and have had a lot of fun over the last few years. But we’re not going on tour next year. We are having a year off.”

Giovanni then joined in, taking the opportunity to emphasise that it’s just a break, and they will be back.

The former Strictly professional admitted: “Obviously we are taking a break. But it’s not a goodbye. It’s an arrivederci. I can’t really stay away from this man, because we all know he is the showman.”

Their tour wraps up later in the summer so fans only have a short amount of time to see them dance together for a while.

Why did Giovanni Pernice leave Strictly?

In May 2024 it was revealed Giovanni Pernice was quitting Strictly following the allegations against him.

In 2023, Giovanni was partnered with Amanda Abbington. But she quit the show in October after she was reportedly left in tears following a series of bust-ups.

After the investigation, BBC cleared Giovanni of ‘physical aggression’ claims. He moved from the UK’s Strictly to the Italian version of the show.

Then Giovanni delighted fans by making his UK TV comeback by taking part in Channel 4’s Celebrity Hunted this year. However, he recorded his episode back in 2022 – but it was reportedly put on hold due to his Strictly scandal.
