But according to PR and fashion experts, the billionaire reality star is trying to carve herself as an enduring image, like that of Princess Diana.

The People’s Princess, who died in August 1997, has left an inspiring legacy thanks to her humanitarian work and influence on pop culture.

Since becoming a mum of four heavily involved in criminal justice reform, people have pointed out that 44-year-old Kim is trying to channel that same energy.

Why? Because Kim wants to have a similarly celebrated legacy like that of Diana, experts believe.

Alison Lowe MBE, fashion consultant and course leader of MBA Fashion Entrepreneurship at the University of East London, said: “Diana, Princess of Wales, is an enduring icon.

“So, it’s not a surprise that Kim Kardashian would want to copy her style and seek to emulate her ability to raise the profile of social causes.”

Fans of the beauty mogul – who runs shapewear brand Skims and skincare label SKKN – have been clocking her attempts at a royal rebrand in recent years.

This particularly came into focus when she purchased Princess Diana’s famous Attallah Cross necklace, which she wore in 1987 to a charity gala.

Kim nabbed the glittering diamond and amethyst necklace for an eye-watering $200,000 (£154,161) at an auction in January 2023.

The cross has a diamond weight of 5.25 carats and is composed of square-cut amethysts and circular-cut diamonds.

The reality star wore it for the first time at the 13th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala 2024 presented by Gucci earlier this week.

Alison said: “Diana’s fashion legacy remains, and her diverse and iconic wardrobe is still relevant today.

Style steal

It’s not just the vintage necklace that Kim has used to emulate Princess Diana’s vibe, though.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has also adopted a “timeless sophistication” in her recent fashion choices.

In fact, there have been a number of occasions over the last few years when she wore dresses very similar to those in Diana’s collection.

Who is Kim Kardashian’s stylist?

THE woman behind many of Kim Kardashian’s iconic looks is Dani Levy, who has worked with number celebrities, including Jennifer Lopez, and Justin Timberlake.

Before securing her A-list clients, Dani would scoured stylist websites and bombarded them with emails and would send up to 60 a day.

She offered to work for free to get her foot in the door, but eventually started getting paid gigs.

Within months, she had her first celebrity clients, and her paths crossed with Kanye West, when she was assisting Rihanna’s stylist.

Dani said: “One day he told me that Kim was in her second pregnancy and not leaving the house, and asked if I could come dress her. I went, we met, and she was amazing.”

Following the divorce, Dani stayed with Kim and called her “family.”

She said: “In my contract, I can work with whoever I want, but I prefer to work on one thing and give my 100 per cent.”

In September 2022, she walked the runway at Milan Fashion Week in a maxi-dress nearly identical to the one Princess Diana wore to celebrate her 36th birthday in 1997.

For the Baby2Baby Gala in November 2023, Kim wore a black lace dress with long sleeves that looked very similar to the Princess of Wales’ frock worn at a gala performance at the Royal Albert Hall in February 1996.

Kim also attended the Balenciaga fashion show for Paris Fashion Week in March this year wearing a similar style.

Humanitarian work

Princess Diana was a prominent advocate for people with HIV/AIDS, and worked tirelessly to break the stigma surrounding the disease.

In April 1987, she made headlines when she shook hands with an HIV-positive patient without gloves at London Middlesex Hospital to challenge the incorrect belief that the disease could be spread through touch.

Kim has also been challenging prejudices through her criminal justice activism in the US.

Since 2019, she has been advocating for wrongfully convicted inmates or those with unfair sentences, and even helped a number get out of prison.

On her reality show, The Kardashians, she fights stigmas by filming herself entering prisons to speak to jailed criminals about how they are reforming themselves on the inside.

Alison said: “Celebrities like Kim try to emulate Princess Diana’s strong public image because Diana exemplified how to connect with people and transform that connection into influence.

“Diana set a precedent.

“She was one of the first public figures to use her fame to draw attention to important humanitarian issues, and she did so with sincerity and dedication.

“Kim and many others have tried to follow Diana’s example of transforming popularity into a force for good, using their platforms to address social issues or support philanthropic causes.”

Public divorce

When Kim and rapper Kanye West filed for divorce in 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage, a media circus ensued.

This is something Princess Diana knew all too well.

She divorced King Charles, the oldest of Queen Elizabeth II’s children, in 1995 and later wore the iconic “revenge dress” which was a far cry from how royal stylists had been dressing her before.

She donned the tight off-shoulder number to a 1994 dinner at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens – on the same night then-Prince Charles confessed his infidelity on national TV.

Kate has paid homage to her late grandmother-in-law through her pearl earrings today.

She has worn a pair of earrings that belonged to the late monarch and were the Queen’s gemstone of choice: pearls.

Alongside a black coat, headpiece and three poppies, which she always wears on Remembrance Day, Kate finished off the look with the Queen’s Bahrain Pearl Drop Earrings, which the Queen had previously loaned to her.

The Princess of Wales also wore these sentimental earrings to Queen Elizabeth’s funeral, in September 2022.

The earrings were a gift to the Queen for her wedding in 1947.

Kate, who continues to recover following her treatment for cancer, made a radiant return to duties at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance on Saturday evening.

Now, she attends the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, where the Prince of Wales and King Charles will lay wreaths.

Kate watched, as is tradition, from above on the nearby Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office balcony overlooking Whitehall with the Duchess of Edinburgh.

According to Bethan Holt, author of The Queen: 70 Years of Majestic Style: “Pearls are one of the very few jewellery items you can wear in mourning and are inextricably linked with Queen Elizabeth and her personal jewellery legacy.”

Bethan told PEOPLE: “It’s a symbol of mourning a monarch but also a grandmother or great-grandmother.”

The Queen has been a huge fan of pearls since she was a little girl, when her father, King George VI, gifted her a thin platinum chain to which he added two pearls on each birthday.

The tradition was started by Queen Victoria, who gave her daughters and granddaughters a pearl every year on their birthday so that when they reached the age of 18, they would have enough for a pearl necklace.

British jeweller Claudia Bradby, whose own pearl designs have been worn by everyone from Pippa Middleton to Helen Mirren, added: “Their power lies in the fact that they aren’t overwhelming.

“It’s a subtle and slightly restrained look and of course the connection to the Queen is incredibly strong.”

Claudia, who worked with Kate in her pre-royal days when she worked as a buyer at Jigsaw while dating William, added: “Since I first met Kate, she has worn pearls beautifully, and seems to have an ongoing love of pearls which has developed as her own style has too.

“It’s a very low-key luxury look and it tells a story — that’s the beautiful thing about jewellery.”

Also in attendance at the Remembrance Day service today are Keir Starmer and wife Victoria, as well as Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson.

William revealed Kate aims to step up her royal engagements in 2025.

He said: “I think hopefully Catherine will be doing a bit more next year, so, we’ll have some more trips maybe lined up.”

Last night, William, 42, affectionately put his arm around his wife as they emerged from their car outside the Royal Albert Hall.

The couple smiled and chatted warmly while taking their seats for the concert.

Despite their differences, Princess Diana continued to try and make their marriage work for the sake of her two children, Prince William and Prince Harry.

For example, in 1985, she tried to impress the future King by taking part in a Royal Ballet dance with Wayne Sleep.

In what was meant to be a surprise for her husband on his 37th birthday, the Princess famously appeared on stage at the Royal Opera House to perform a contemporary sequence to Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl.

It has been reported that despite Diana receiving a rapturous reception after the performance, Charles stayed in his seat.

It has never been divulged exactly what the his reaction was – but now, Diana’s ballet teacher has revealed what really happened, reported the Daily Mail.

In a new memoir, Anne Allan said the princess was energised at the reaction of the crowd and had a cheeky response.

She wrote: “After repeated curtain calls, an elated Diana left the stage and enthused, ‘Beats the wedding!”

The teacher went on to say that afterwards Diana made her way to Charles and as she stood beside her husband, the dancer could “sense she desperately wanted his approval”.

However, Charles simply turned to her and said: “Well done, darling”, before he turned to chat to someone else in what must have been a devastating reaction for his wife.

Recalling the event years later, Diana’s teacher – and friend – said: “She loved the freedom dancing gave her.

”A few days later, I got a letter. She wrote: ‘Now I understand the buzz you get from performing’.”

Who inherited Princess Diana’s jewellery?

AFTER her death, Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry were left three-quarters of her £21 million estate — with the other quarter going to her 17 godchildren.

In a special “letter of wishes”, Diana explained that she was leaving her jewellery to her sons’ future wives.

The letter reads: “I would like you to allocate all my jewellery to the share to be held by my sons, so that their wives may, in due course, have it or use it.

“I leave the exact division of the jewellery to your discretion.”

The couple famously split in 1992 and finalised their divorce in 1996.

Charles is alleged to have told his friends “how awful incompatibility is”, and by mid-1986, he is said to have rekindled his affair with Camilla.

And a royal writer has claimed that Charles said his then-wife would “hit him over the head” when he said his prayers at night after they rowed.

The Beckhams are front row regulars at Victoria’s runway shows and they come dressed to impress.

In March, the whole ménage (minus Romeo) cheered on the former pop star, 50, as she took a final bow on crutches after presenting her fall/winter 2024 collection. The show marked her first following her accident at the gym that resulted in her breaking her foot.

We caught up with the designer at the launch of her latest Estée Lauder makeup collection

Victoria Beckham’s fashion show is always one of the most coveted tickets at New York Fashion Week. From the clothes to the front row cameos, the event is an all-around must-see. And one thing we look forward to (aside from David Beckham and the brood in the audience) is VB’s outfit.

This year the designer pulled a 180 and hit the runway in classic jeans and a white T-shirt. So when we caught up with her at her Estée Lauder fall collection launch, we had to ask, “Where does Posh buy her jeans?”

“I got those from a vintage shop. They’re just vintage Levi’s,” she told PEOPLE of the cropped blue denim she wore with a basic white tee for her finale bow. “On the lead up to fashion week you don’t really have the time to think about what you’re wearing because we’ve been so busy this week with the collection and the casting and everything else that goes with putting a big show together. It was just jeans and T-shirts for me this week.”

She finished the look with a pair of lavender pumps from her new collection, and maintains that while she has embraced flats, she’ll never give up her high heels.

“The shoes are great. They are so comfortable as well. You really can wear them all day because they’re not too high,” she shares. “What’s so funny is that people said that [I stopped wearing heels] because I think like most people I’ll have a day where I want to put a heel on and then I’ll wear trainers if I’m running around after the kids. I go between the two. Sometimes a flat sandal if there is nice weather.”

Aside from the chic heels and new clothes, Beckham’s models also hit the catwalk in her latest collection from Estée Lauder.

“I’ve learned so much over the years,” she shares. “I have a point of view and I wanted to create the key must-have items that every woman should have in her makeup bag, and I really think that I’ve done that. This is really only the beginning — there is so much more that I have to say. I’m very passionate about this. Everything has a point of view and it’s very different to anything else that is out there.”

For the bright eye moment, the new dual-sided Eye Kajal was used with the lighter shade on the waterline. “It really opens out the eye and gives it a really youthful, fresh look.”

“The mascara is like no mascara I’ve never used before,” Beckham shares. “It’s packed with fibers. You can use it on eyelash extensions as well, which is something that I’ve always struggled with. You can wash it off with warm water. It’s got a very nice wand. It’s very slim and easy to use. The amount of product you get on the wand is incredible. You can really get right into the root of the lash because of the shape of the wand. I hold it vertically to really paint the individual lashes and the bottom part of the eye.”

The young couple, who tied the knot in a lavish Palm Beach ceremony on April 9, were spotted out in New York for the first time since they said “I do,” sweetly holding hands as they strolled through the city on Saturday.

Their outing also offered a glimpse of the couples’ gorgeous wedding bands, which they wore proudly on their ring fingers.

For the casual day out, Beckham, 23, showed off his growing collection of tattoos in a brown graphic T-shirt, carpenter jeans, and low-top white sneakers.

Peltz, 27, opted for a more glamorous day-off ensemble, rocking black heeled sandals, a slinky black one-shoulder top, and low rise, wide-leg dark jeans. She accessorized with an on-trend puffy shoulder bag and futuristic sunglasses on her head, also choosing to wear a protective black mask.

Beckham recently posted to Instagram to shout out his “wifey,” and revealed that both he and Peltz had updated their Instagram handles to read brooklynpeltzbeckham and nicolaannepeltzbeckham, respectively. When they first posted photos from their wedding, both Beckham and Peltz used the caption “Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham.”

Becoming husband and wife has also meant embracing each other’s existing families, and Beckham had some heartfelt words for Peltz’s brother Diesel in celebration of his birthday on April 30.

Alongside a sweet black-and-white photo shared on Beckham’s Instagram Story of Diesel helping to adjust his tie, Beckham expressed his gratitude and love for his new brother-in-law.

After Highsnobiety launched its “Not in London” collection on Feb. 16, Romeo checked out the capsule at Selfridges in London, where he found a piece that hit close to home.

At the pop-up shop, the 21-year-old model tried one of the capsule’s three KNITWRTH sweaters, the “Becks Knit Sweater Multi,” which — as the name suggests — features an all-over graphic of both of his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.

The front of the sweater features a photo of David, 48, taken in 2001 as part of Adidas’ “I Kiss Football” campaign. In the shot, the football icon rocks sunglasses and an “I Kiss Football” sweatshirt while chatting on his cellphone.

The back features another throwback photo, this time a candid of David and Victoria, 49, both rocking tiny sunglasses while the (shirtless) football pro blows bubbles.

On Sunday, Romeo shared photos of himself rocking the sweater — front and back — on Instagram, and tagged both of his parents in the caption, where he also added a couple of laughing emojis.

The “Becks Knit Sweater Multi” sweater is one of three KNITWRTH x Highsnobiety sweaters in the “Not in London” collection, which is a “multi-media celebration of the English cultural capital,” according to the capsule website.

The other two also include all-over graphics in the signature style of the brand, which has been worn by stars including Gigi Hadid, Addison Rae and Rosalía.

The “Diamond Life Knit Sweater Multi” includes two black-and-white portraits of iconic singer Sade, while the already sold-out “Duchess Knit Sweater Multi” features two photos of Princess Diana in her legendary “revenge dress.”

The KNITWRTH x Highsnobiety sweater is not the first time Romeo — who has always been one of his parents’ No. 1 supporters — repped David and Victoria with his style.

Last December, the model rocked a graphic tee featuring his mom’s former girl group, The Spice Girls, and shared a photo of his full ‘fit on Instagram.

“U like my T-shirt?” he captioned the post, and the iconic group’s official Instagram account replied, “Yes .”

The 22-year-old former footballer was casually dressed for the evening in a baggy jumper and equally loose-fitting jeans, which he matched to a black New York Yankees baseball cap and blue trainers.

His 23-year-old model girlfriend kept it equally low-key, in a large black jacket and similarly baggy faded jeans to Romeo, as they made their way to the Marylebone venue.

She completed her outfit with light brown shoes and a green handbag.

Romeo and Kim went Instagram offical earlier this month when he posted a picture kissing her hand in the back of a car.

And he certainly seems to be living up to his name, as just last month he was spotted getting cosy with another woman altogether, American photographer Gray Sorrenti, 23, at Paris Fashion Week.

With Romeo being the son of David and Victoria Beckham, and Gray’s father internationally acclaimed fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti, some fans hoped they might form a new nepo-baby power couple.

Particularly with Gray’s mother Mary Frey also being a world famous artist.

But Romeo and Kim’s relationship status really seems to have solidified in recent weeks.

They’ve enjoyed a lunch date at Fiume restaurant in Battersea, south London, and have been sharing various clips and pictures to social media, showing they’ve been hanging out in the capital.

Kim also previously dated Rocco Ritchie, the artist son of singer Madonna, and filmmaker Guy Ritchie.

Romeo meanwhile, split from long-term model girlfriend Mia Regan in February of this year, after five years together.

Mia wrote on Instagram at the time: “Love takes ­different forms & paths as you mature.

“We aren’t together romantically but we do share lots & lots of love for one another . . . after five years we friend-zoned each other — heheh.”

After their split, it was first reported by the Sun that Romeo had signed up to use celebrity dating app Raya.

The Duchess of Sussex is set to star in her very own cooking show, on the back of her launching her lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard, which has reportedly finished filming but doesn’t yet have a release date.

It’s her second project with Netflix after her 2022 reality docuseries, Harry & Meghan, which gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at their life.

But whilst the release date of Meghan’s upcoming Netflix cooking show hasn’t been revealed, we recently saw the announcement of her ex-best friend Victoria Beckham’s new Netflix documentary.

The House of VB will hit screens next year – and will provide a compelling insight into one of the most recognised women in the world and her journey to build a fashion empire.

Through access to Victoria herself, an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at her business, never-before-seen archive detailing her fashion journey, her family and those closest to her, the series will tell the story of Victoria’s reinvention as a Creative Director of her own brand.

But after Meghan and Victoria’s ‘bitter rift’, according to Ingrid Seward, the chances of a reconciliation between the pair is looking slim.

The editor of ‘Majesty’ magazine tells Fabulous: “I only think they would reconcile if they come across each other, and I’m not sure that they really do.

“I can’t think that their paths would particularly cross again.”

Ingrid recognises the key reason why Victoria and David have distanced themselves from the Sussexes.

She adds: “I think the Beckhams have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry, but for the obvious reasons that we all know, you know Meghan and Harry are in the descendant, not the ascendant.

MEGHAN Markle proved herself as a feminist long before hitting the spotlight – pushing for change at just 12.

Footage of the US actress as a school student has surfaced, with the young woman having written letters demanding for a cleaning ad to change their sexist ad’s phrasing from “women” to “people”.

Meghan had taken issue with Ivory’s ad for dishwasher soap, that claimed “women all over America are fighting greasy pots and pans”.

Taking up a pen and paper, the determined student wrote to the company, asking for them to make a change – and they did.

Nickelodeon footage of Meghan explaining just why she had decided to speak out has since resurfaced, with the fresh-faced student already well-spoken and thoughtful.

Speaking to the camera, she explained: “I said – wait a minute, how could someone say that?”

She said that she realised a number of commercials would hurt people’s feelings, and was determined to make a change.

In the 1993 interview, she said: “I don’t think it is right for kids to grow up thinking that mom does everything.

“If you see something that you don’t like or offended by on television or any other place, write letters and send them to the right people and you can really make a difference, not just for yourself but for lots of other people.”

According to Ingrid, the mum-of-two, who is based in California with Prince Harry, 40, and their two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, in a sprawling £12 million, nine-bedroom mansion in Montecito, has a slightly different story to that of the Beckham’s.

She continues: “If Victoria Beckham’s is a success, which I’m sure it will be, I think it’s got more chances of boosting Meghan’s.

“The Beckhams are so popular and they haven’t really upset anyone in the way that Meghan has, so they’re starting with a clean slate.

“They are so incredibly successful, and it’s all through their own hard work. And people love that it’s a rags to riches story, whereas Meghan’s is a riches to rags story.”

AFTER flying for 22 hours from London to Sydney at Prince Harry’s request, David Beckham was puzzled why the prince had not met him.

But the prince had had no plans to see the former England football captain, nor even of being pictured with him, claimed Tom Bower.

It was October 2018, and Harry was hosting the Invictus Games.

Since David had played a prominent role bringing the 2012 Olympics to Britain and an important part in the 2010 unsuccessful bid for the football World Cup, it seemed natural for Prince Harry to ask David to join him at the celebrated competition for injured servicemen.

As a man who loved the royals, David would never refuse such an important request.

But having flown half-way around the world, he was perplexed why officials after he arrived at the sporting venue were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry.

She wanted no competition in the media from David, and especially not from his wife, Victoria.

The reason for the distance was Meghan, the newly married Duchess of Sussex.

The Beckhams and the Sussexes enjoyed a close friendship, but cracks have formed in the last few years.

The Duke of Sussex allegedly called David, 49, to accuse him and his wife Victoria, 50, of leaking stories, leaving David ‘furious.’

David was also “snubbed” by Harry after flying for 22 hours from London to Sydney at the royal’s request, for the 2018 Invictus Games.

Cracks first started emerging in the pair’s friendship in spring 2022 when the former footballer invited Prince William and Kate to his son Brooklyn’s wedding – and not Harry and Meghan.

At the time, a source said: “David’s attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests.

“It was always about them, it was never about Meghan and Harry.

“They are the people David and Victoria are attached to and it’s always been about them because they’ve had a long history together.”

MEGHAN Markle has launched a new Instagram brand called American Riviera Orchard.

Industry insiders said the site will focus on home, food, garden and lifestyle goods.

A source told the Mail: “It’s a lifestyle and cooking brand called American Riviera Orchard.

“The brand is meant to coincide with the launch of a new cookery show for Netflix.

“Meghan will be making, and selling, products such as jams. And at some point there will be a book and blog etc.”

Meghan’s non-fiction show, which according to Deadline will feature Meghan celebrating “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”, seems to complement the Duchess of Sussex’s upcoming lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

A title for the show or the format has not been revealed yet, but a source told US Weekly that the series “is going to be a take on her and the joy of living. [There will be] little things she’s learned in terms of being a modern-day hostess.”

In July, a Hollywood source told the Daily Beast that production had wrapped and said: “It all went well and it is in the can.”

When it comes to the potential public response to the show, according to Ingrid, Meghan hopes that it will have the same reception as Posh and Becks’ ‘Beckham’ show had.

The wife of David Beckham also made sure to keep her social media followers up to date with her day as she shared a video of her purchasing a new belt from her store.

She said to the camera: ‘So I’m here in 36 Dover Street doing a little bit of a shopping.

‘Just bought this new belt. A little tiny B Frame Belt which I’m obsessed with. My new red sweater, and my pants.’

Her outing comes just days after she admitted she ‘cares less’ about the idea of being famous now.

‘I’ve been doing this too long. I suppose I did when I was growing up but, nowadays, there’s just too much going on; too busy; too many kids to worry about.

‘I woke up at 50, and I gave a s*** less.’

Victoria has Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, as well as daughter old Harper with him, and her eldest has recently spoken out about being a nepo baby.

Brooklyn told Grazia: ‘Obviously I am one. But I couldn’t help how I was born, at all.’

While he understands why the public can feel irked by nepo babies, Brooklyn said he tries to ignore the ‘rubbish’ people say rather than dwell on it.

With its clean lines and elegant shape, it is unlikely to have been worn by its namesake, however – the flamboyant Dorien Green from TV show Birds Of A Feather, played by actress Lesley Joseph.

Victoria was spotted at Dorian again recently when she enjoyed a three-hour dinner date with hair stylist Ken Paves.

A source close to the family said: ‘Victoria absolutely loves Dorian. She loves the menu and the ambience.

‘She, David and the kids go there for all kinds of occasions but also just for a low-key dinner.

‘It’s their favourite. There is also a space usually saved for them to park outside if they drive there.’
