The Duke and Duchess of Sussex need to resolve one key issue before Meghan Markle makes her UK return, according to a royal commentator.

Meghan Markle would never have joined her husband Prince Harry on a trip back to the UK, had the royal decided to attend his good friend, the Duke of Westminster’s wedding on Friday for one key reason, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be absent from today’s lavish ceremony in Chester, where Hugh Grosvenor will be marrying Olivia Henson, despite having been invited.

Around 400 guests will be in attendance, including Harry’s older brother, Prince William, who will be an usher during the service.

Harry and William share a close relationship with Hugh – named Britain’s richest person under 40 – with both of the brothers making him godfather to their sons, Prince Archie and Prince George.

But while sources claimed Harry and Hugh reached a “mutual agreement” that it would be best for him not to attend, it has become clear that had he chosen to do otherwise, Meghan wouldn’t have travelled with him due to concerns regarding their security in the country.

The Telegraph’s royal editor Hannah Furness recently told Hello!’s A Right Royal Podcast: “There is quite a heavy narrative that Meghan and the children won’t be coming back until they can resolve this security issue to their liking.

“But he [Harry] will certainly be coming and going.”

The Duke of Sussex took legal action against the Home Office over the February 2020 decision of the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec) that he should receive a different degree of taxpayer-funded protection when in the country.

Ravec’s decision came as a result of a change in the duke’s “status” after he stopped being a “full-time working member of the Royal Family”, a judge was told.

In a judgment in February, retired High Court judge Sir Peter Lane rejected the duke’s case in a 52-page ruling and concluded Ravec’s approach was not irrational nor procedurally unfair.

Harry previously expressed during a hearing for the case through a written statement: “It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020. The UK is my home.

“The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home, as much as where they live at the moment in the United States. That cannot happen if it’s not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil.

“I cannot put my wife in danger like that and, given my experiences in life, I am reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm’s way too.”

The monarch returned to public-facing duties in late April with an engagement at the Macmillan Cancer Centre in London and discussed the treatment he was receiving.

In March, the Princess of Wales announced that cancer was found in tests following a significant abdominal surgery earlier this year.

Princess Kate released a video message confirming the diagnosis and revealing she had undergone preventative chemotherapy.

The Princess of Wales has not returned to public duties as she continues to focus on her health following the diagnosis.

Sarah Ferguson said regarding Kate and the King: “The great example they have set is that they have spoken about it themselves.

“Princess Catherine was so brave and courageous.

“[Kate is] such a wonderful mother and an inspiration to all of us.”

The Duchess of York also stressed the importance of family unity amid the ongoing feud between senior royals and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have not been invited to the Trooping the Colour event on June 15 for the second year in a row.

The couple will also miss the Duke of Westminster’s wedding on Friday, June 7 despite Hugh Grosvenor being their son’s godfather.

Harry and Meghan declined an invite to the wedding to avoid an awkward reunion with Prince William, who will be an usher at the event.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle snubbed by royal family, not invited to Trooping the Colour

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were left off the Trooping the Colour invite list for the second year in a row, People reported Tuesday.

The annual event — which celebrates the official birthday of the British sovereign, King Charles III — is scheduled to take place on June 15.

Page Six has reached out to reps for the Sussexes and Charles but did not immediately hear back.

Although Harry, 39, and Markle, 42, quit their roles as senior members of the royal family in 2020, Queen Elizabeth II still allowed the couple to make a subtle appearance at the 2022 Trooping the Colour parade.

The “Suits” alum and “Spare” author were photographed at the time chatting in the Major General’s Office at Buckingham Palace during the kick-off event for the Queen’s four-day Platinum Jubilee celebration.

However, Harry and Markle were noticeably missing from the Buckingham Palace balcony photos that year, and the Queen was instead joined by then-Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and their three children.

Sources told The Post at the time that royal courtiers were allegedly worried that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would steal the monarch’s thunder if they were present for the photo-op.

Ever since Charles took over his mother’s royal duties after her passing in September 2022, he has seemingly taken an even firmer stance on Harry and Markle’s involvement in royal affairs.

The King decided to not invite the Sussexes to his first Trooping the Colour, which took place last year.

Then in March, Charles ordered that Harry and Markle’s bios be wiped from the royal family’s website.

“As announced in January 2020, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped back as working members of The Royal Family,” a description directly after an image of disgraced Prince Andrew reads.

“The couple married in St George’s Chapel, Windsor on 19 May 2018 and have two children: Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.”

In February, Harry briefly flew to the UK to visit his father after he had been diagnosed with cancer, but the two have not been able to see much of each other lately because Charles has reportedly been “too busy.”

Harry & Meghan ‘want to be the next Beckhams’ but never will be – they’re not patriotic enough

PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle are desperately trying to rival the “patriotic” Beckhams they once called pals, a royal expert has claimed.

Harry and David Beckham were said to have been friends for years, with snaps showing the fresh-faced young men beaming at one another.

But it’s rumoured their relationship – and their wives’ newer friendship – came crumbling in recent years, and an expert says it will likely never be the same.

Richard Fitzwilliams was speaking today after it was revealed the Beckhams’ Netfix docu-series was the most watched on the streaming giant.

The Beckhams and the Sussexes aren’t comparable – they aren’t on the same level.

    Richard FitzwilliamsRoyal Expert

But, Meghan and Harry’s bombshell doc had slumped to a low 211 on the platform’s list.

The Royal commentator said this would be a blow for the Sussexes – who would dream of having the following the Beckhams have.

Richard told The Sun: “The Beckhams are probably everything that Harry and Meghan would like to be.

“You can’t compare Harry and Meghan to the Beckhams.”

He said David and Victoria were “international superstars” – and the Sussexes are not.

The expert continued: “This is the thing the Beckhams have not only survived, they’ve thrived.

“The Beckhams and the Sussexes aren’t comparable – they aren’t on the same level.

“There isn’t a modest comparison other than the superficial, because you’ve got those who’ve basically survived decades – and they’re absolutely huge.

“So I don’t think there’s any possibility of Harry and Meghan resembling that level.”

Prince Harry and David have enjoyed a close friendship over the years, but cracks have formed in recent times.

The Duke of Sussex allegedly called David to accuse him and his wife Victoria of leaking stories, leaving the Beckhams ‘furious.’

And experts recently said that if Meghan’s business failed, it would be the “ultimate revenge” for Victoria.

He said the foursome had been pals, and the Beckhams’ attended the Sussexes’ wedding.

Richard continued: “We had a period where apparently Meghan was endorsing Victoria’s brand, and the couples were apparently getting on in one way or another.”

However, he believed Megxit and the lead up to it may have played its part in their friendship falling to bits.

Richard said: “There’s no doubt that the Beckhams are very, very patriotic – they are great supporters of the Royal Family.

    INSIDE THE BECKHAM-SUSSEX FEUD

Prince Harry and David have enjoyed a close friendship over the years, but cracks have formed in the last few years.

The Duke of Sussex allegedly called David to accuse him and his wife Victoria of leaking stories, leaving David ‘furious.’

David was also “snubbed” by Harry after flying for 22 hours from London to Sydney at the royal’s request, for the 2018 Invictus Games.

Cracks first started emerging in the pair’s friendship last spring when the former footballer invited Prince William and Kate to his son Brooklyn’s wedding – and not Harry and Meghan.

At the time, a source said: “David’s attachment and history go back with William and Kate and they have a very strong relationship and they were their choice of wedding guests. It was always about them, it was never about Meghan and Harry.

“They are the people David and Victoria are attached to and it’s always been about them because they’ve had a long history together.”

And perhaps it wasn’t a coincidence that after the apparent snub, Meghan, 42, seemingly stopped wearing Victoria’s designs – while Kate wore them more frequently.

She wore one of the designer’s dresses to an engagement in January and was spotted donning a pair of VB glasses at Wimbledon over the summer.

She even reintroduced a Victoria Beckham bag to her wardrobe – taking the white Quincy tote out on a royal visit in May, the first time she had been seen with it since 2016.

Since the Beckhams have appeared to further distance themselves from the Sussexes, a royal expert has claimed the move has strengthened David’s friendship with Prince William and the King.

Sarah Hewson, royal editor of Talk TV, said: “Perhaps by distancing himself from Harry and Meghan, it has helped David cement his relationships with William and the King.

“After all, he is due to meet with Charles for dinner soon. I think David has made it very clear whose side he is on.

    “David is a self-proclaimed royalist.

“He queued for 12 hours to see the Queen lying in State and he has worked with the royals on several charitable campaigns.”

“I suspect strongly, and this is just my view, that they didn’t like the way the Sussexes monetized their Royal connections for gain.”

He said that the Beckhams may have realised they were “too close” to the Sussexes – especially as they’re also close friends with Wills and Kate.

The expert continued: “It would seem that what was once a blossoming friendship has now descended into something of a rift.”

The Beckhams’ documentary – released last October – had 208.5million hours watched in 2023.

Meanwhile, Harry & Meghan had 72.9million hours watched during the year, although their show was released the year before and it’s normal for show views to decline over time.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Netflix series was an instant hit when it debuted on December 2022.

The show was so popular that it was Netflix’s biggest debut at the time, with 81.6million hours viewed in the first four days.

However, it seems the initial furore quickly died down.

This could have been due to fans hoping for royal insight in the show, but instead being frustrated at the couple being “whiny”, as some stated.

Meanwhile, other viewers slammed Meghan for “mocking” having to curtsy to the late-Queen.

In comparison, fans praised David for sharing honestly about his career and a number of comical family life scenes went viral.

‘Resentful’ Harry ‘agreed not to attend Archie’s godfather’s wedding’ to ‘avoid friction with William’ who has key role

PRINCE Harry will be a “no show” at the most exclusive wedding of the year in order to “avoid” Prince William, according to a royal expert.

The Duke of Sussex has agreed to not attend the nuptials of billionaire Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, who ties the knot on Friday.

Meanwhile, Prince William will be in attendance and will play a major role in the lavish wedding of his close friend as an usher.

The aristocrat and businessman, who is both Archie’s and Prince George’s godfather, is said to have invited both feuding brothers to his wedding to Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral on June 7.

Royal author Phil Dampier told Fabulous: “The Duke of Westminster is one of the few people who has remained friends with both William and Harry since their rift.

“So he was in a very difficult position but he must have realised that it was virtually impossible for both brothers to come to the wedding.”

Hugh is said to have spoken on the phone with Prince Harry who “accepted his dilemma.”

Phil added: “Harry is probably very upset that he isn’t coming as he has been close to the Duke for many years.

“But it was just a non-starter.

“If he had come he would have been ordered to his seat by William, who is an usher, and the friction would have been obvious for all to see.

“Harry must resent William’s prominent role and the brothers are as far apart as ever, but it seems Harry understands the problem for the Duke of Westminster.

“It’s just another example of how sad it is that we’ve come to this and William and Harry are on such bad terms.

“It’s causing distress not just for them but also their friends.”

The Duke of Westminster topped The Sunday Times Rich List for the under 40s when it was released on 17 May, with an estimated wealth of £10.127billion, which eclipses the fortune of William and Harry.

He became a billionaire at the young age of 25, after his father Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor died in 2016 of heart attack aged 64.

Hugh and Olivia announced their engagement at Eaton Hall in Cheshire in April last year after being together for two years.

There are said to be 400 guests invited to his and Olivia’s wedding.

Kate, the Princess of Wales, who is receiving cancer treatment, is not expected to attend.

King Charles – who is also undergoing treatment – is not expected to be there either, despite being Hugh’s godfather.

Hugh was said to have wanted Harry and Meghan at the wedding, but eventually decided against it, in light of the ongoing rift between the two princes.

A pal said: “It’s incredibly sad it has come to this.

“Hugh is one of the very few close friends of William and Harry’s who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both.

“He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realises it’s unlikely to happen before the wedding.”

He and Olivia were introduced by mutual friends in 2021 and have reportedly insisted on a “strictly no-gifts policy” for guests.

The extensive properties of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster

THE Grosvenor family originally made their fortune from mining before turning their eye to the property world.

Hugh inherited an impressive property portfolio when his father passed away in 2016.

The Duke owns the entirety of London’s Park Lane and half of Mayfair.

As well as this, the properties Hugh owns include:

Eaton Estate – the 11,500-acre Grosvenor family home in Cheshire.
Abbeystead – the 23,500-acre shooting estate in Lancashire.
Finca La Garganta estate – the 37,000-acre plot in rural Cordoba near Seville, Spain.
    Reay Forest in Sutherland, Scotland.

Following the wedding service, guests will enjoy a reception at nearby Eaton Hall on the Grosvenors’ 11,000-acre estate.

A second smaller reception will be held there for close family and friends.

Hugh, who often maintains a low profile, said he is “incredibly excited” about the wedding, but admitted it will be “nerve-racking”.

Editor-in-Chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward added that she doubted the Sussexes would want to jet into the UK – where they’re unpopular – and go to a wedding where they may draw unnecessary attention.

Ingrid told The Sun: “Harry and Meghan obviously probably have no intention of flying 5,000miles to go to a wedding. It’s the society wedding of the year when that society doesn’t want to know them – especially Meghan.

“I should think I mean the last thing Meghan wanted to do was to fly to the UK – where she’s deeply unpopular – and be put on show, if you like, which she would be,

“To give them their credit, they knew that their presence there would actually deflect completely from the bride and groom, and that often happens when royalty go to a wedding.”

A timeline of Prince Harry’s family feud

In 2018, the Sun told how “simmering tension

The first hints of friction reportedly came after William was introduced to Meghan when she was staying at Kensington Palace.

Once she’d returned home to Canada, William and Harry sat down for a brother-to-brother chat.

He knew Harry was already head-over-heels for her but it has been claimed he advised him to take it slowly.

The younger prince reportedly didn’t take too kindly to the advice, with one royal source saying he “went mental”.

Then in June 2019 Harry and Meghan officially split off from the charity they shared with William and Kate.

The Royal Foundation will be divided between the Sussexes and Cambridges as the couples focus on their own separate charitable endeavours.

Prince William and Prince Harry first established the Royal Foundation in 2009 before Kate joined two years later shortly after their engagement was announced.

The trio would often appear together at events and the Foundation had huge successes with projects like the Invictus Games for injured veterans and the mental health Heads Together campaign.

The Royal Foundation said the decision was made following the conclusion of a review into its structure – but added both couples will continue to work together in the future.

Harry and Meg were living in close proximity to Kate and Wills within the Kensington Palace estate, but they switched to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before baby Archie was born.

The move further increased rumours of a fallout.

Harry, 39, also hinted in his ITV documentary “Harry and Meghan, An African Journey” that he and his brother had grown apart.

In 2021, Harry and Meghan give their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where Harry accused his dad of cutting him off financially.

Harry then jetted back to UK to join William in unveiling a statue to their mother Princess Diana in the grounds of Kensington Palace. But sources claimed William didn’t want to attend the memorial amid their ongoing rift.

In 2022, just before their grandmother the Queen died, sources claimed Kate acts as a “peacemaker” between the brothers.

Harry claimed his brother “knocked him to the floor” during an argument about Meghan, in his memoir.

In Spare, Harry said William branded Meghan “rude” and “difficult” during a row.

Harry alleged William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor”.

He said he was left with a visible injury to his back following the argument in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he was living at the time.

In January this year, Harry flew in to be with Charles after the monarch’s shock cancer diagnosis.

Harry flew back to the US the following day – without seeing Wills.

Meghan Markle in danger of ‘bearing brunt’ of ‘sad’ Archie and Lilibet situation

Meghan Markle is likely to “bear the brunt” of a difficulty that children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet will face because of their limited time in the UK, says an expert.

A royal expert warns Meghan Markle could face the wrath of a “sad” situation regarding her children Archie and Lilibet.

The young royals haven’t had much interaction with their UK-based cousins, leaving many to ponder whether they will truly grasp their royal lineage.

Prince Harry has made it abundantly clear that he wants his offspring to appreciate their royal heritage.

Royal author Tom Quinn has claimed an insider told him: “Meghan does miss some aspects of life in the UK and worries that her children will blame her if they never get to see their cousins and feel as adults that they have been deprived of what might have been a fun and meaningful existence in the UK.”

Jennie Bond, who once spearheaded royal coverage for the BBC, agrees that this is a valid concern.

Archie and Lilibet are yet to receive roles during the Coronation

Archie and Lilibet in home videos (Image: Netflix)

Speaking to OK!, she stated: “Children grow up and are innately curious about their heritage and background… and when your heritage is one of the most famous families in the world, it will undoubtedly seem rather odd and perhaps sad that you hardly know or remember them.”

Looking into a potentially gloomy future, she added: “Imagine Archie, aged 15, telling his friends, ‘My grandpa is/was King! And my Uncle is/will be King too.’ But he hardly knew or met them. How sad… and Meghan would have to bear the brunt of the responsibility for that.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s little girl, Princess Lilibet, marked her third birthday on Tuesday.

Born on June 4, 2021, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California, she is the younger sister of Prince Archie and the granddaughter of Prince Charles.

Originally named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten Windsor, it was confirmed in 2023 that she and her older brother would carry princely titles, as their parents didn’t want to deny them their “birth right”.

Despite being seventh in line to the throne, Lilibet has spent minimal time in the UK and holds the distinction of being the first of the late Queen’s great-grandchildren to be born overseas.

Jennie had some insights on how the young Royal would have spent her day.

“Three-year-old birthday parties are all about bouncy castles and little girls in princess dresses,” Jennie revealed.

“Of course Lilibet is already a princess, but I’m sure her mum will still want to dress her up for her big day. After all, that’s half the fun of having a little girl. If Lilibet is anything like my three year old granddaughter, now is the time that she will be pining for a pet to cuddle…and a makeup bag full of child friendly (and washable) lipsticks and nail varnish. So I hope Harry is ready for guinea pig cage cleaning duties!”

Jennie commented on the birthday festivities, adding: “I expect her birthday will be full of sunshine, squabbles with her brother, fun games with her toddler friends and some delicious home cooking from her mum.

“It will no doubt be an all American affair at their Montecito mansion and I would expect to see a sprinkling of celebrities and a laid-back party, which hopefully will include some other toddlers.

“It would be nice to think the day might include a video call to Lilibet’s grandfather, King Charles and hopefully some sort of gift has been arranged and will be delivered to Montecito for her birthday.”

Prince Harry enthusiasts have been gushing over a resurfaced clip that captures the Duke of Sussex beaming with joy, dubbing it a top moment for the Royal.

A bashful Prince Harry, 39, was captured on film ambling towards the lens, hands tucked away, as ardent Royal Family followers declared this scene as “one of my favourite moments”. The footage, shared on Twitter, quickly amassed thousands of likes, endearing the Duke to fans even more with his charming demeanour in the video.

The video’s caption expressed heartfelt sentiment: “Undoubtedly one of my favourite moments. Watching Prince Harry so overjoyed at the birth of his sweet baby Archie warms my heart. Am so happy he got the beautiful family he always dreamed of.”

An animated Prince Harry was heard exclaiming “X marks the spot” while grinning during a media appearance. Surrounded by horses, he paused to admire them, sharing a smile before turning back to face the camera.

This endearing moment occurred shortly after the arrival of his son, Archie, who entered the world on May 6, 2019.

In the heartwarming footage, the Duke is seen briskly rubbing his hands together before joyfully announcing: “I’m very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy earlier this morning, a very healthy boy.

“Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It’s been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine. How any woman does it is beyond comprehension, but we’re both absolutely thrilled.”

Later in the footage, Prince Harry was overheard lavishing praise on Meghan, expressing his immense pride for the Duchess of Sussex before returning indoors. The affectionate Royal even took a moment to thank the horses behind him.

One touched viewer wrote: “Aww thank you for revisiting and reminding us what a beautiful joyful day that was. To see Harry so happy warms my heart so so much. Meghan his soul mate gave him the love he was so lacking in that system.”

Another commented fondly: “I still love that he thanked the horses.” A third fan couldn’t help but mirror his upbeat aura, stating: “Harry’s giddiness is infectious.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently embarked on a three-day tour of Nigeria, with reports similar trips could follow over the coming months.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are attempting to “take advantage” while Prince William and King Charles are unable to conduct overseas royal tours, according to royal author Angela Levin.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex embarked on a short trip to Nigeria earlier this month, visiting a secondary school and a polo club during a busy few days.

Speaking to GB News, Levin criticised the couple, suggesting they are capitalising on William and Charles’s inability to travel abroad.

The Prince of Wales is currently managing his duties alongside caring for his family, following the news that Princess Kate has been diagnosed with cancer.

King Charles is also battling cancer, making lengthy overseas trips unlikely as he focuses on recovery.

Levin said: “The royals who go abroad have extensive discussions and weeks of preparation.

“They [Harry and Meghan] had so many royal engagements; it wasn’t just a visit.

“Harry and Meghan are trying to seize the opportunity since King Charles and William can’t travel. They aim to show they’re modern and fun.”

The First Lady of Nigeria recently appeared to criticize Meghan’s fashion choices subtly.

In a veiled remark, she told an audience: “The message here is we have to protect our children. Look at how they dress.

“They forget that Nigeria is beautiful. We are fashionable, but this isn’t the Met Gala.

“The nakedness is everywhere, while men are well-clothed. We must do something. We don’t accept nakedness in our culture. It is not beautiful.”

Levin also expressed her disapproval on GB News, particularly about Meghan’s attire.

She said: “She visited a very religious school in a backless dress.

“That’s provocative and inappropriate, especially if she was representing the Royal Family. I found her clothing choice appalling.”

Meanwhile, Prince Harry told People magazine: “Meeting people directly is crucial for supporting our causes and bringing about positive change.

“There’s only so much one can do from home and over Zoom, so we look forward to traveling more because the work matters.

“Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus, or our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people central to our work.”

An expert has revealed how Prince William and Princess Kate’s only daughter, Princess Charlotte is just like her mum on royal engagements.

Whether it’s dressing up like their mums or copying their phrases, children love to mimic their parents and Prince William and Princess Kate’s only daughter, Princess Charlotte is no different.

The nine-year-old royal appears to be becoming more and more “composed” when meeting the general public, more so than her older brother and heir-to-the-throne Prince George, a royal expert has claimed.

Many appearances, however, still seem “choreographed” because the children are yet to adjust to press attention. Speaking to OK! Magazine, historian Dr Tessa Dunlop said Charlotte is “in many ways more relaxed than George”.

Dr Dunlop also likened her behaviour to her mother’s, saying Princess Kate has “always been very composed”. She said: “Kate is not a fool, she knows they’ve got a whole life ahead of them. It’s just slowly and incrementally upping exposure but very much on their terms and quite choreographed.”

Princess Charlotte is also often demonstrating her kind nature in public outings, according to royal fans. Last Christmas when the wider Royal Family attended Christmas Service at Sandringham, they greeted crowds and well-wishers.

Social media users noted the sweet bond the Princess shared with the child of Zara and Mike Tindall – Mia Tindall.

The moment was highlighted in a clip by TikToker @wikagelchlo, garnering upwards of three million views so far. The caption of the post read: “Princess Charlotte let Mia get the flowers that were for her, but she let her get it.”

Another social media user followed with: “It melts your heart, doesn’t it? They are clearly very close and I bet they get up to some mischief when they are all together. Wonderful memories being made.”

Expert, Dr Dunlop said Kate is “clever” at organising her family, with care taken for her daughter’s camera angles and photographs making people “believe we see a lot more of Charlotte than we really do”.

While the royal children attend events less often than their parents, recent outings have shown the young Princess making sure Prince Louis is on his best behaviour.

She helped calm the cheeky five-year-old, who has become famous for his public antics, during King Charles III’s Coronation.

The royal held her brother’s hand as they processed through Westminster Abbey behind William and Kate. She continued to look after him throughout the ceremony when he was spotted yawning and pointing at features of the abbey.

Princess Charlotte demonstrated her maturity again when she calmly waved at the crowds while her young brother banged on the Buckingham Palace balcony after the ceremony.

During the 80th anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings, King Charles, Queen Camilla, and Prince William were approached by a young admirer who was curious about Princess Charlotte’s whereabouts.

Prince William not only addressed her query but also unexpectedly divulged details about his daughter’s schooling.

At the poignant event in Portsmouth on Wednesday, Prince William encountered the great-granddaughter of Captain Alastair Bannerman, who had participated in the D-Day Landings.

Following his recitation from Captain Bannerman’s diary, William engaged with the young girl, asking her if she enjoyed watching the Red Arrows’ performance in the sky.

The conversation took an interesting turn when the woman with the girl mentioned: “I think she was going to ask you where Charlotte was,” revealing the child’s admiration for the princess.

Prince William promptly clarified that “Charlotte’s at school! ” and then crouched down to the girl’s height to share more about Princess Charlotte’s academic commitments, saying: “Charlotte’s got exams.”

Like many youngsters across the nation, Charlotte was diligently preparing for her exams and faced them this week, which regrettably meant she couldn’t be present at the memorial, a fact she wasn’t too pleased about.

“Yes, she had tests. She wasn’t looking forward to the school day,” the Royal father confessed, before optimistically crossing his fingers in a silent gesture of luck for his daughter as he continued: “Hopefully it’s all gone well.”

These recent remarks offer another peek into the warm relationship between Prince William and Princess Charlotte, who have frequently charmed onlookers with their tender interactions.

Notable moments that have captured the public’s affection include Charlotte’s endearing embrace with her father during the Trooping the Colour ceremony at Buckingham Palace last year, and their joint show of encouragement for the England women’s football team before their major tournament matches last summer, reports the Mirror.

Charlotte is buckling down for her exams this week, but she’s not the first Royal to hit the books. Last year, Kate Middleton shared that Prince George isn’t a fan of the ‘repetitive nature’ of constant exams.

During a visit to a Welsh high school last October, Kate revealed: “George is just at the beginning of being tested. He says, ‘Mummy, I keep getting tested all the time.’ But when it gets to A-levels you feel like you’re on it,” as reported by The Sun.

Kate had to forgo joining Prince William in Singapore for his Earthshot Prize Awards last November, opting instead to stay in Windsor to support George through his demanding exam period.
