Earlier, Tyler told his social media followers that he slogged to the bash on foot through the rain.

He added: “Now I’m walking into Buckingham Palace like a wet dog with mud on my feet.”

The winners had been announced on Tuesday by Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly — but Ant, 48, missed the party because of the birth of his baby with partner Anne-Marie Corbett.

Dec, also 48, joked: “He’s got a week-old baby he’s breastfeeding, or helping with.”

Charles, 75, laughed and said: “Please give him my regards.”

The King also shared a joke with Love Island star and basketball player Ovie Soko.

Looking up at the 6ft 7in hunk, he said: “You don’t even have to jump.”

Other stars at the event included Kate Garraway, Martin Freeman, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, Pixie Lott and Penny Lancaster — who told the King hubby Rod Stewart was going on tour again.

Celebs Go Dating host Anna Williamson told Charles, who is having treatment for cancer: “It’s lovely to see you looking so well.”

Queen Camilla, also a keen horticulturist, appeared just as pleased to be in West London as she looked resplendent in a blue dress.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester accompanied the King and Queen on Monday evening’s tour of the 111th Chelsea Flower Show.

Schoolkids gave the King a badge in honour of his environmental work emblazoned with his new nickname, while Camilla got a “Queen of the Bees” version.

During their visit, the Royals were shown the No Adults Allowed Garden, the first in the history of the show to be designed by kids.

The patch, which features woodland, meadows and wetland, aims to inspire youngsters to get into eco-gardening whilst having fun.

The King then spoke with TV gardening supremo Alan Titchmarsh, who once described Charles as “the best royal gardener in history”.

The Royals also visited the Moroto no IE Japanese garden and the tropical Addleshaw Goddard Junglette Garden.

Both The King and Queen have spoken of their joint love of gardening at Highgrove House, with Camilla viewing it as a form of therapy.

While on a visit to a care home in Bath in February, Her Majesty said of her beloved passtime: “It gets everybody outside.

“I find it the most relaxing thing in the world, you come in and everything starts stiffening up.

    “It’s worth it.”

She noted how tending to the 18-year-old vegetable patch at the King’s private Gloucestershire home is “a wonderful way to pass the time”.

The world-famous 15-acre garden at Highgrove has been heavily documented and attracts 40,000 visitors a year.

The King, and later Camilla, have spent 35 years developing it into one of the most inspiring gardens in Britain.

His Majesty once said his green-fingered efforts were “one very small attempt to heal the appalling short-sighted damage done to the soil, the landscape and our own souls”.

In 2013, Charles, then Prince of Wales, launched the Coronation Meadows Project to create 60 meadows, in honour of the 60th year of The late Queen’s accession to the throne.

The project now boasts 100 fields across Britain.

Queen Camilla Discussing Gardening Earlier This Year

Queen Elizabeth II was Patron of the RHS for 70 years and visited the Chelsea Flower Show nearly every year of her reign.

Keith Weed CBE, President of the RHS, said: “As an advocate for the planet and champion for environmental issues, we are thrilled and honoured that His Majesty The King is our Royal Patron.

“We look forward to furthering our work to reach more people of all ages, backgrounds and gardening abilities with the joy of growing plants and gardening to create wonderful gardens, combat the effects of climate change and build a better future for generations to come.”

Clare Matterson CBE, RHS Director General, said: “It means the world to the RHS and our wider horticultural family of growers, nurseries, gardeners, designers and plantspeople that Their Majesties The King and Queen, accompanied by The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester are visiting RHS Chelsea again this year.

“We are all hugely looking forward to welcoming them to the world famous event to enjoy the spectacular displays that everyone has worked tirelessly to create…

“To meet the many wonderful charities involved with the event, and hopefully, as us gardeners love to do, sharing some top gardening tips and getting lots of inspiration along the way.”

ARCHIE’S godfather will be breathing a sigh of relief now Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can’t go to his lavish wedding, a royal expert claims.

But the aristocrat and businessman, who is both Archie’s and Prince George’s godfather, is said to have been full of worry leading up to his big day.

Sources claimed Hugh was conrcered about princes Harry and William’s feud – and how it may pan out on the big day.

But it was reported yesterday that the Duke of Sussex won’t be attending to avoid any tension – while Wills will be in the wedding party.

Now royal expert Ingrid Seward has weighed in on the Sussexes not RSVPing – and said it would be welcomed by many.

She said she doubted the couple would want to jet into the UK – where they’re unpopular – and go to a wedding where they may draw unnecesary attention.

Ingrid told The Sun: “Harry and Meghan obviously probably have no intention of flying 5,000miles to go to a wedding. It’s the society wedding of the year when that society doesn’t want to know them – especially Meghan.

“I should think I mean the last thing Meghan wanted to do was to fly to the UK – where she’s deeply unpopular – and be put on show, if you like, which she would be,

“To give them their credit, they knew that their presence there would actually deflect completely from the bride and groom, and that often happens when royalty go to a wedding.”

The Hugh and Olivia announced their engagement at Eaton Hall in Cheshire in April last year after being together for two years.

And last week the Duke of Westminster topped The Sunday Times 40 Under 40 Rich List, boasting a fortune of £10.1 billion.

The details of his and Olivia’s wedding have been coming to light in recent weeks – including that Wills will be an usher during the ceremony.

Ingrid added that she thought the Sussexes had made a great call not coming over for the big day.

She said: “If Harry comes without Meghan it would look a little odd, and if he comes with Meghan, they will steal the thunder.

“So, in a way, I think the situation was resolved for them and I’m certain that Hugh Grosvenor is probably very relieved because it sort of solves the problem for him as well.”

Hugh became an instant billionaire when he inherited his title and control of the historic Grosvenor Estate aged 25 following the death of his father from a heart attack in 2016.

His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns about 300 acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as major city centre developments such as Liverpool’s ONE shopping centre, and the duke is part of the royal inner circle.

There are said to be 400 guests invited to his and Olivia’s wedding.

Wills’ key role in Hugh’s big day

    By Ryan Merrifield

PRINCE William will play a major role in the lavish wedding of his close friend – and Archie’s godfather – but his brother Harry won’t attend.

Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, 33, is getting married next month to Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral.

The Prince of Wales, 41, is among the groom’s party and will be an usher during the ceremony, for which there will be 400 in attendance.

Kate, the Princess of Wales, who is receiving cancer treatment, is not expected to attend.

King Charles – who is also undergoing chemo – is not expected to be there either, despite being Hugh’s godfather.

It is understood that to avoid any tension, Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan Markle, 42, will not be attending, reports the Sunday Times.

Hugh – known as “Hughie” to his pals – is said to be close with the Duke of Sussex.

The businessman and aristocrat – who is also godfather to William’s son and second in line to the throne Prince George – boasts a fortune of £10.1 billion.

He inherited his title and control of his family’s estate following his father’s death in 2016.

His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns about 300 acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as major city centre developments such as Liverpool’s ONE shopping centre, and the duke is part of the royal inner circle.

Kate, the Princess of Wales, who is receiving cancer treatment, is not expected to attend.

King Charles – who is also undergoing treatment – is not expected to be there either, despite being Hugh’s godfather.

Hugh was said to have wanted Harry and Meghan at the wedding, but eventually decided against it, in light of the ongoing rift between the two princes.

A pal said: “It’s incredibly sad it has come to this.

“Hugh is one of the very few close friends of William and Harry’s who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both.

“He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realises it’s unlikely to happen before the wedding.”

He and Olivia were introduced by mutual friends in 2021 and have reportedly insisted on a “strictly no-gifts policy” for guests.

Following the wedding service, guests will enjoy a reception at nearby Eaton Hall on the Grosvenors’ 11,000-acre estate.

A second smaller reception will be held there for close family and friends.

Hugh, who often maintains a low profile, said he is “incredibly excited” about the wedding, but admitted it will be “nerve-racking”.

William, Prince of Wales, launched a major initiaitve with his Homewards charity in Cornwall, England, on Thursday, May 9, but his visit was ultimately “overshadowed.” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived in Nigeria at the same time to begin their “tour” of the nation, which stole the focus from the future king.

This led GBN royal correspondent Cameron Walker to state: “You’d be forgiven” [for] “mistaken in thinking that the two of them were still working members of the royal family,” before adding that both are “playing it out like a royal tour.”

“Harry and Meghan are no longer working members of the royal family,” Walker continued. “This does appear to play out like a royal tour, even though it’s not officially one. King Charles is head of the Commonwealth, and he has not had a chance to visit Nigeria yet. Prince Harry couldn’t even see the King when he was in the U.K. because the King’s diary was too busy a few days ago.”

The royal analyst further added: “And what it’s also done is overshadow Prince William’s visits to the Scilly Isles, his first time as Duke of Cornwall.”

Host Tom Harwood offered a glimmer of positivity for the Sussex trip by adding that diplomatic ties, be it through the monarchy or two of its outliers, “can only be a good thing” for Britain, Nigeria and the Commonwealth.

Walker replied: “There was lots of optimism when Harry married Meghan back in 2018, because they could have been a real asset to the working royals in terms of shoring up relationships with these Commonwealth nations.”

    meghan markle

SOURCE: MEGAThe late Queen Elizabeth II originally championed the idea of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex focusing solely on the Commonwealth.

When Harry wed Meghan on that spring day in 2018, numerous royal insiders and analysts claimed that the late Queen Elizabeth II wanted the Commonwealth to become the couple’s “life’s work.” The pair would only tour Australia, New Zealand, and Southern Africa before ditching the monarchy in March 2020.

Walker also highlighted how the royal rebels are fashioning a more “diplomatic” delivery and aesthetic in both their outings and speeches.

“I have seen a noticeable shift with Harry and Meghan in the last few months,” Walker observed. “The statements we’re getting from them appear to be a lot more diplomatic. For example, when they told us that Harry was not going to be seeing his father, the statement from his spokesperson that Harry was very understanding of that fact, suggests to me that he wants to build a better relationship with the working royals.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to spend three days in the African nation and prioritize tour sites connected to their “in the red” Archewell Foundation.

King Charles III reportedly found himself “worried” his estranged youngest son, Prince Harry, would “tape” their conversation had he met with him on Wednesday, May 8.

“When King Charles heard his son was planning to return for the Invictus Games, he joked that if he saw Harry, he would have to have him searched first to see if he was taping their conversation!” royal author Tom Quinn told Daily Mirror.

“And, of course, at many levels, this is no joking matter,” he added when highlighting the seriousness of the family feud that could lead to something like the taping of conversations.

His Majesty also seems to nervous about his estranged Sussex daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle.

“King Charles now fears that anything he says to his son may end up in a book written by Meghan,” Quinn added. “There was a sigh of relief at Kensington Palace and Clarence House that Harry appears to have scrapped the idea of a second book after his bestseller Spare, but the focus has now switched to Meghan.”

    prince harry

SOURCE: MEGAKing Charles III is reportedly concerned the Duchess of Sussex ‘could write a memoir.’

Quinn predicts that Her Royal Highness will likely try and tie the tell-all into her new lifestyle brand. “For all her efforts to make a success of her new online business, America Riviera Orchard, Meghan knows that a personal memoir of her time in the U.K. as a working royal would sell millions of copies and make her the sort of money she craves.”

He continued: “She is also acutely aware that such a book would only boost traffic to her new online business. All this fills King Charles with horror because Harry is bound to be a major contributor to the book.”

Other analysts take a more direct approach by not insinuating that the “meeting” was an example of the palace in “stealth mode” to ensure the world knows they intended this to be a “snub.”

    prince harry

SOURCE: MEGAKing Charles is believed to be the only senior royal who speaks with the Sussex family.

“This will be seen as a snub,” royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams explained. “There is little doubt that this was not arranged as it should have been as King Charles has always made it clear that his door is open to Harry.”

Harry famously flew to visit his dad on February 6 after the sovereign revealed his cancer diagnosis to the world the day before. Some reports claim the Duke and monarch met for an hour, some say 45 minutes, and others claim the actual sit-down meeting lasted a mere 12 minutes.

“Their meeting after the King’s diagnosis was extremely brief and we do not know how well it went,” Fitzwilliams added.

Perhaps His Majesty was also worried that the first meeting was “taped” and would become fodder for more tell-alls…

Prince Harry returned to the U.K. for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, but the Duke of Sussex didn’t meet with his father, King Charles. The duo hasn’t been reunited since Harry’s February trip to London, and royal experts think Harry is hurting over their tense relationship.

SOURCE: MEGAPrince Harry returned to the U.K. to celebrate the Invictus Games.

“He hasn’t got many other plans,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told an outlet. “He was, of course, hoping to see his family. Possibly that’s why the trip was three days… but as we now know, there will be no family meetings.”

“I think certainly the fact that time hasn’t been made over these three days for father and son to have some sort of meeting — when you consider their last meeting was just about 30 or 40 minutes when Harry flew all the way from California to see his father — certainly fuels that narrative of a rift,” she added.

SOURCE: MEGAKing Charles was unable to see Harry during his U.K. visit.

Since Charles’ coronation, Harry has gone to his native nation without his wife, Meghan Markle, and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

“He very much wants to be close to his son again and to see more of his grandchildren, who he’s barely seen since they were born,” Nicholl said of the King’s wishes.

Aside from Harry’s youngsters growing up without the Windsors, the duke’s various tell-alls continue to impact his ties to the royal fold.

“There is a sense of surprise that he hasn’t made time to see his son,” the biographer shared of Charles’ schedule being too full.

According to Nicholl, the “fundamental issue” is “this breakdown of trust between Harry and the family.”

SOURCE: MEGAPrince Harry will meet up with Meghan Markle in Nigeria.

Prior to leaving the U.K., Harry often attended events alongside Charles and his brother, Prince William, but Nicholl thinks it will take time for the unit to reunite.

“Clearly, there are still some pretty major trust issues and concerns on Charles’ part that any private meetings or conversations that he has with his son may not stay private for long,” she said. “I think Harry’s going to have to work really quite hard to repair some of that trust before he’s going to get a sort of privileged audience with his father.”

“There is just a feeling of of disappointment, certainly on Harry’s part, and genuine sadness that he hasn’t got to see his father,” she noted.

A rep for Harry confirmed that he wouldn’t see Charles while in the U.K., but Nicholl believes the veteran wants to see Charles as he undergoes cancer treatment.

“When you take away the rift and who they are in terms of the royal family, they are a family, and Harry’s gone through an awful lot since finding out his father’s been diagnosed with cancer,” Nicholl stated. “He’s all those miles away, understandably very worried about his papa, as he calls him, and he is here for three days.”

“I think it was very much his hope that he’d get to see his father. I’m told he’s rather hurt and quite disappointed that he hasn’t had that opportunity,” the journalist continued.

Although Harry’s time with his relatives is minimal, many royalists expected Charles’ health challenges to help the Sussexes end their feud — but it doesn’t look like that is possible right now.

“Harry has said that he had hoped that, out of the adversity of his father’s illness, he would reunify with the family. It’s clearly very much his intention,” Nicholl explained. “My understanding is the king also wants to sort of rekindle his relationship with his son.”

“He loves his son. He’s a very forgiving man. I think he certainly wants to move on. While time hasn’t been made available on this particular trip, it’ll certainly be the king’s hope that he will get to see Harry and his family at some point later this year,” she concluded.

King Charles III chose to honor his “working” family members in recent days while totally “snubbing” his estranged, visiting youngest son, Prince Harry.

“I think it [is] very sad [that] Harry, celebrating this incredible achievement of the Invictus Games, has not met his family,” veteran royal reporter Jennie Bond shared about the Duke’s Wednesday, May 8, appearance at St Paul’s Catedral. “There was no one from the actual family, the Windsor side, but at least he has some Spencer support, and approval and I thought that was nice.”

SOURCE: MEGAKing Charles III attended a Buckingham Palace Garden Party on May 8, 2024.

“I was, I have to confess, gobsmacked when I learned that there was to be no meeting between Harry and his father,” she added. “I was sure that they would find a lot of time actually, but never mind a lot of time, at least a chance to have a cup of tea or an evening drink or breakfast together or something. There must have been a time in the King’s schedule for that.”

Bond continued: “I know he has lots of appointments, it’s true, and I know he’s undergoing cancer treatment, but nevertheless, this is a very pointed statement. I think to Harry: ‘You’ve made your bed, I’m afraid you’ve got to lie on.’”

The 75-year-old King, who is still receiving cancer treatments, was busy on the day Harry’s Invictus Games were celebrated at St Paul’s Cathedral. His Majesty attended the first Buckingham Palace Garden Party of the season, which requires chatting with numerous guests.

“For many years he served two tours in Afghanistan,” royal expert Katie Nicholl told an outlet. “You know, the timing is curious. I think many people will see that as a bit of a snub, really, from the palace, and perhaps a little bit of a poke in the ribs to Prince Harry.”

“I think probably it’s a sense of loyalty to William and to Catherine and to Camilla, all of whom have been on the sharp end of Harry’s tongue,” Bond observed when taking into account the military award and Harry snub. “I thought at the funeral of the Duke of Edinburgh, at the funeral of The Queen, surely those would have been occasions for the family to come together. It didn’t happen then, it’s not happening now even with this cancer treatment.”

The expert then concluded: “I think it’s very sad and I must admit in my bones, I feel that Charles should have made time to see his younger son. I know we’ve talked about loyalty to his nearest and dearest, the working royals, his family. And I know he’s probably tired from his treatment.”

“Their tour of Nigeria will be dressed up as a quasi-royal visit – in fact, Meghan believes that as controversial royals she and Harry actually have more appeal,” he continued.

Quinn later hinted at the couple’s time in West Africa only helps their reputation — not hurt it.

“She feels that people are more interested in them because, as she sees it, she has become a kind of Cinderella figure — a princess hurt and broken by a callous, cold, stuck-up royal family,” he explained.

Quinn claimed Meghan was “completely deluding herself with this idea,” adding, “But the visit to Nigeria fits with her sense of mission, her sense that she can do a great deal of good in the world helping the poor, and women and children.”

The Nigerian Defence Headquarters announced the Sussexes would travel to the West African nation to further promote the Invictus Games.

“The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has expressed its honor and delight for the acceptance of the Duke of Sussex, His Royal Highness, Prince Harry and his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan to visit Nigeria in May, 2024,” the Nigerian Defence Headquarters said.

“During their stay in the country, they will be meeting with service members and will be hosted to arrays of cultural activities,” the blurb continued. “It would be recalled that Prince Harry, the Duke of Duchess founded the Invictus games, an international multi-sporting event which offers recovery pathway for international wounded, injured and sick service men and women. It also gives soldiers awareness and recognition in society to support their path in rehabilitation.”

“The visit is to consolidate Nigeria’s stronghold at the game and the possibility of hosting the event later years,” the statement noted. “The Honourable Minister of Defence, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Badaru, who was at Germany at last year’s event, has accepted to host the games when granted to Nigeria.”

Although the Sussexes left the U.K. four years ago, the duo relaunched their Archewell website using their royal titles and crest. OK! previously reported royal expert Ingrid Seward believes Queen Elizabeth would’ve been disappointed in the couple’s professional decisions.

“The late Queen was fond of Harry and Meghan. She saw their potential as a couple working for the Commonwealth – her Commonwealth. It was her father’s legacy,” Seward told an outlet. “Then it became hers.”

“The Queen saw Meghan’s mixed-race heritage, her youth and style combined with intelligence, as a major plus for the monarchy,” Seward explained. “Imagine her distress when everything she had hoped for from Harry and Meghan failed to materialize. In 2020 instead of being supportive of the monarchy they wanted to leave. That is when the steely will of the Queen came into play.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are senior royals, but as non-working members, are not allowed to use their royal styles and titles in public. This didn’t stop the Duchess of Sussex from “sounding like a full-on princess” next to her Duke during a speech about mental health at an Abuja, Nigeria, school.

“I see myself in all of you. It is a complete honor to have our first visit to Nigeria,” the Suits star said on behalf of the Montecito pair.

The duo are in the African nation on behalf of the nation’s government but are taking measures to ensure locations connected to their foundation are highlighted, such as the school the two visited on Friday, May 10.

Speaking to GBN’s Nana Akua, royal author Tom Bower said the “tour” was “yet another milestone in their intention to snub and humiliate the British royal family.” He added: “The casualties and victims of their selfish touring are [the royals] and Britain itself.”

Bower continued: “This interference in Nigeria, a country which is a very important member of the Commonwealth, by the Sussexes who d—– the Commonwealth in their notorious Netflix series, is really quite another milestone in their intention to snub and humiliate” the monarchy.

Akua then highlighted emerging details about how Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation is spread throughout the country, and the couple are mostly just visiting beneficiaries of the charity.

“But I think the accounts on that foundation didn’t appear to have very much money, so I’m curious about this one,” she asked Bower in response to Archewell’s “going into the red” months earlier.

He replied: “I think they gave the Nigeria something like £20,000, a pittance. This is all about promoting the brand and this is all about their own selfish endeavours to actually assert themselves as terribly important people. And they’ve got a problem with that because they’re not very important. The only thing they do have is their names and their connections to the royal family.”

“What else are they going to do, represent the monarch and the British government to promote bilateral peacetime ties, trade, and/or investment — that ship has sailed,” a royal insider laughingly spilled about the trip and the Archewell Foundation.

They added: “This is pure and simple for Netflix and Meghan’s brand, and how they promote racism throughout the Commonwealth of Nations. They tried to nudge the King to give them a pre-tour photo op when Harry was in London, but he made his mother and ancestors proud by seeing right through the scam. His Majesty nor our ancient British Crown are for hire.”

King Charles III was not able to meet with his youngest son, Prince Harry, on Wednesday, May 8, due to a “full program” of events. This did not stop His Majesty from taking 15 to 30 mins to meet with football icon David Beckham, even though much was made over a father “snubbing” his son.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the Duke will meet with his father while in the U.K. this week, it, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full program,” a spokesperson for the Duke of Sussex shared on Tuesday, May 7.

Royal insiders are quick to cite that, “like any of the monarch’s meetings,” these are arranged “months in advance, as Mr. Beckham’s was,” a palace aide spilled.

This follows earlier reports that suggested Charles III and his courtiers knew about Harry’s May 8 appearance at St. Paul’s Cathedral “over a month in advance,” and the sovereign had let it be known he could “always fit Harry in.”

“The King has left the door wide open, but obviously not that wide,” a royal source said about the situation. “But they absolutely can stuff things in his diary and juggle things around.”

This has led to a large amount of criticism directed the King’s way for what was “certainly a snub.”

The monarch met with his youngest son on February 6, the day after he told the world he was battling cancer. “We don’t know how that meeting went, but I do know that the King was exhausted and really keen to get off to Balmoral,” another royal insider privy to that meeting spilled. “He was desperate to be on his way and was delayed until Harry turned up.”

“I was, I have to confess, gobsmacked when I learned that there was to be no meeting between Harry and his father,” royal expert Jennie Bond dished. “I was sure that they would find a lot of time actually, but never mind a lot of time — at least a chance to have a cup of tea or an evening drink or breakfast together or something. There must have been a time in the King’s schedule for that.”

Beckham has long been an avid supporter of the monarchy and has met and praised the work of the King during his time as Prince of Wales.

The sports icon and his wife, Victoria Beckham, are believed to have once befriended Harry and Meghan Markle, only to watch the friendship disintegrate over petty clothing spats and a Sussex fear of a Beckham upstaging.
