Queen Camilla’s two words that will show how she feels about Prince Harry returning to UK

Queen Camilla is not expected to respond favourably to Prince Harry’s invitation to reunite and sources say she is likely to give him short shrift and say she is not available for a get together

Queen Camilla is expected to give Prince Harry little of her time on his UK return

Queen Camilla is expected to use two words to show how she feels about Prince Harry returning to UK.

Harry has given an invitation to the service to Royal Family members. However, the occasion is the same day as a garden party at Buckingham Palace and royal experts is thought unlikely that many will attend. Camilla is expected to tell Prince Harry she is “otherwise engaged” when he returns for the Invictus Games 10th anniversary commemorative service on Wednesday. But the two simple words also give an indication of how she feels about the King’s youngest son.

Prince Harry may meet his father, but the Queen is said to be ‘not in a hurry’ to be reunited with her estranged stepson, sources say. According to the Express, the insider said: “Let’s just say that the Queen might be otherwise engaged. Although the King will have time in his diary for a brief visit, that hasn’t been confirmed yet due to the garden party schedule. Even if Harry does meet with his father, it is highly unlikely that Camilla will be in the same room.”

Harry last visited the UK in early February and came over for just one day after learning King Charles had been diagnosed with cancer. The two had a brief meeting at Clarence House in London, lasting less than 45 minutes, although it is not known whether Camilla was present. The source added: “Harry did the right thing by flying over in February. But it was very much a last minute surprise and was somewhat forced upon the household. The optics wouldn’t have been good if a meeting didn’t take place at that time.”

It is not expected that the Duke of Sussex will stay in London for long, as he and Meghan Markle have a trip to Nigeria planned for later in the month. If he does manage to meet his father it will be a brief encounter thanks to the King’s packed schedule, which includes his weekly meeting with the Prime Minister as well as the garden party.

The source explained: “Health permitting, the King is due to attend the garden party at Buckingham Palace on May 8. If a meeting with Harry were to take place it would have to be just before or after that.” They added: “There won’t be any special arrangements made for a meeting, but one could be squeezed into plans already in place.” Since his move to the US, the Duke has had a strained relationship with the rest of the Royal Family, with his and Meghan’s TV appearances and his book Spare worsened relations.

The couple had become notorious for dishing the dirt on the Royal Family, however their latest projects with Netflix suggest they are moving onto a new chapter. Meghan is said to be launching a new cooking and lifestyle programme in conjunction with American Riviera Orchard, while Harry is reportedly making a new series about competitive polo.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle drop huge hint about future plans despite William’s ‘fury’

Prince Harry and Meghan, off the back of their hugely successful trip to Nigeria, have dropped a major hint about what they have planned for the future, but a royal expert has claimed that this might make Prince William ‘furious’

Duke of Sussex Prince Harry (R) his wife Meghan Markle (L), Duchess of Sussex, visit the Lightway Academy in Abuja

Harry dropped a major hint about the Sussexes’ future plans

After Prince Harry recently visited the UK, he and his wife Meghan travelled to Nigeria together, where they spent several days on what some commentators have dubbed a “quasi-royal tour”. The couple have given a major hint about what some of their future plans may include, as Prince Harry discussed how the trip went in his view.

However, one royal expert has claimed to the Mirror that what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex potentially have lined may only make Prince William – with whom Harry has had a strained relationship for some years – further displeased. The expert also alleged the Prince of Wales is “furious” about his younger brother’s visit to Nigeria, which bore many of the hallmarks of an official royal visit, noting “Everything you might expect from an official royal visit was there.”

Speaking to People Magazine, Prince Harry dropped a major hint that there may well be more overseas trips planned in the future for him and his wife and that they fully intend to keep up their in-person visits. “It is hugely important for us to meet directly with people, supporting our causes and listening, in order to bring about solutions, support and positive change.

“There’s only so much one can do from home and over Zoom, so we look forward to travelling more because the work matters. Whether it’s the Archewell Foundation, Invictus, or any of our other causes, there will always be reasons to meet the people at the heart of our work.”

Harry’s comments come only weeks after sources close to William and Kate told the Daily Beast that William intends to adopt a more “hybrid” approach to his own work, incorporating virtual events into his schedule. “I’m sure that will mean doing more stuff online. He can ‘WFH’ and do hybrid working a bit. Frankly, it has more impact because it reaches many more people,” the anonymous friend was reported as saying.

A royal expert – author Tom Quinn – explained to the Mirror that Prince William was “furious” about Harry and Meghan’s recent visit to Nigeria. “William is absolutely furious and determined to find a way to stop this happening in future. Charles is said to be angrier than anyone has ever seen him,” the author claimed.

Quinn added “Everything you might expect from an official royal visit was there – the receptions, the visits to schools and charities, to wounded soldiers and the disabled. Meghan and Harry’s speeches and their whole attitude has been designed to give the impression that they are still fully paid-up royals and William and his father King Charles don’t like it one bit.

“For Charles and William, it’s as if Meghan and Harry are saying, ‘We don’t need your permission to be working royals – we will do it on our own terms whenever and wherever we like’.”

Prince Harry in ‘total estrangement’ from family as Invictus now ‘only thing linking him to UK’

A representative for Prince Harry said the Duke of Sussex understood his father was busy while he visited the UK, but royal author Tom Quinn said the statement issued hid ‘anger’

Prince Harry departs The Invictus Games Foundation 10th Anniversary Service at St Paul's Cathedral in London

Prince Harry is in “total estrangement” from the Royal Family as the Invictus Games are now his “only thing” linking him to the UK, one of his old Army friends has said.

The Duke of Sussex travelled to the UK to mark the 10th anniversary of the Games, which he founded in 2014, and attended a ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. However, he was not joined by any senior royals and while it was previously thought Harry would meet his father, King Charles, during the trip, this did not happen.

Harry’s spokesperson said the Duke understood why his father was unable to fit a visit into his schedule, but according to royal expert and author Tom Quinn, a statement released earlier this week hid “a huge amount of awkwardness, anger, and bitterness.” Harry’s representative said on Tuesday: “In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation on whether or not the Duke will meet with his father while in the UK this week, it unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.” Responding to the statement, Mr Tom Quinn, a royal expert and author, said the fact that Harry and his father did not meet shows “how damaged” their relationship is, as the pair have only met a handful of times since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US, where they now live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The expert told us: “Harry’s well-publicised statement that he is not going to see his father because he is ‘understanding of his father’s commitments but hopes to see him some time’ may sound perfectly reasonable, but it masks a huge amount of awkwardness, anger, and bitterness. King Charles is stricken with cancer yet his son says they are not going to meet during this rare visit and talks vaguely of seeing his father ‘some time’.”

He added: “It’s a shocking statement and shows just how damaged the relationship is. Harry has hardly seen his father since he and Meghan left for America in 2020 and with his father seriously ill you might think his first port of call on returning to the UK would be Clarence House – quickly followed by a visit to his sister-in-law, Kate. But no.”

Mr Quinn mentioned one of Harry’s old Army friends who claimed: “The Invictus Games is just about the only thing that would have got him back in the country – and even then, it was touch and go. That’s how strongly he feels about even being in the same country as his father and brother. It’s total estrangement.”

Despite the news that Harry and Charles would not meet taking many by surprise, according to royal insiders, it is no shock that the King was reluctant to make room in his diary. The monarch is reportedly still waiting for an apology for the “drama” caused by his younger son and Meghan and views the Sussexes as a “painful distraction he could do without”.

According to a source close to the King, he is still reeling from the barrage of explosive claims Harry and Meghan have made about the Royal Family over the last couple of years. Speaking to the Daily Mail, they explained: “He doesn’t need the drama in his life,” adding: “Harry and Meghan have brought him, and the rest of the family, nothing but worries over the past few years.”

Following the King’s cancer diagnosis in February, Harry rushed to the UK and saw his father for around 30 minutes. He said he was “grateful” to see the monarch and declared: “I love my family.” He added: “The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him I’m grateful for that.”

When asked if the diagnosis could have a “reunifying effect” amid their feud, Harry said he is certain it will. “Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families I see it on a day-to-day basis the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together,” he told the host. However, Harry refused to discuss his father’s condition and said “that stays between me and him”.

According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, even though Harry and Charles did not meet on this occasion, it is possible that they will see each other soon. He told Express.co.uk: “I would have thought one is likely to be planned, given that King Charles has a serious illness, though he is displaying amazing energy in his engagements.”

He added that the King would likely base his visit on two conditions – that it is “private” and “planned beforehand”. Despite a trip possibly in the works, Mr Fitzwilliams added: “However after this week, when according to Harry’s spokesperson, his commitments precluded a meeting, the King has sent a clear sign that any future visit is likely to be beneficial only if it’s private and planned beforehand without the accompanying media circus which we’ve just seen.”

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s ‘frightening fight’ means they won’t ‘deal with Harry Problem’

Prince William and Kate Middleton have neither the “will or the strength” to “deal with ‘the Prince Harry problem’,” a royal expert has said, as the younger Prince makes his long-awaited trip back to the UK.

Top royal commentator and former BBC royal editor Jennie Bond claims the “boot is on the other foot” following the Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis. Not only do Harry’s previously aired grievances that sparked a rift with the royal family now seem “utterly trivial” by comparison, William and Kate’s “frightening fight” means the future King and Queen are unlikely to have much desire for a confrontation with the estranged brother..

Harry’s relationship with his dad King Charles appears irreparably strained as he opts out of meeting his father during a brief visit to the UK. The Duke of Sussex, who landed in Britain for an Invictus Games event, has left Meghan and their kids back in the US.

Arriving on Tuesday, May 7, there was much speculation about whether Harry would see King Charles. However, any hopes of a father-son reunion were quickly squashed. Prince Harry’s spokesperson confirmed that a meeting couldn’t be arranged due to the King’s busy schedule. The statement from Harry’s team explained: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

This marks Harry’s first trip back since learning his sister-in-law is undergoing cancer treatment after January’s surgery. Despite anticipation of a possible reconciliation, Jennie told OK!: “As regards William, that does appear to be a terminally damaged relationship.”

She then highlighted a change in their dynamic, claiming: “In a way, it seems the boot is now very much on the other foot. Previously it was Harry who was the ‘victim’ looking for an apology for all his perceived grievances. Now those grievances must seem utterly trivial (even to Harry) in the face of a very real problem: cancer.”

Noting the seriousness of the situation and how it impacts family ties, she said: “Kate and William are involved in a frightening fight and I don’t think they have the will or the strength to confront someone, even a brother, who picked a fight over issues that seem pathetic by comparison.”

Jennie added: “William is doing everything he possibly can to protect his wife and I very much doubt that they want to deal with ‘the Harry problem’ right now, if ever.”

The royal expert reflected how Harry’s missed meeting with Charles indicates a severe rift. “we can deduce that their relationship is terminally damaged”, she said. “In a sensible world, Harry would stay with his dad at Clarence House – they could have cosy chats in perfect privacy and with all the security Harry wants.”

During his last visit to the UK, Harry met with his dad upon hearing about the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.

  • Long before Prince Harry’s bestselling memoir Spare sent shockwaves through the Royal Family, another royal wrote and released a tell-all book that caused a serious ‘sensation’

Long before Prince Harry’s bestselling memoir Spare sent shockwaves through the Royal Family, another royal wrote and released a tell-all book that caused a serious ‘sensation’

When Prince Harry released his memoir Spare, he lifted the lid on what life was really like behind closed doors in the Royal Family – from his perspective.

Breaking down in glorious technicolour his relationship with his brother Prince William and father King Charles, Harry didn’t hold back in his tome, and sources have even claimed that some of the allegations he made about his stepmother Queen Camilla upset King Charles so much it remains a kind of blockage in the father and son’s path to reconciling.

However, while it might have seemed like Harry’s memoir broke down boundaries the usually formal royals are keen to uphold in their public lives, he was by no means the first member of the House of Windsor to write a tell-all, with an even more senior royal doing it decades before and causing an absolute “sensation”.

The royal in question is none other than the former King Edward VIII, who sent shockwaves across the country when he abdicated the throne in 1936, after less than a year on the throne, with only 325 days as monarch. The abdication crisis saw Edward torn between his duties as King and his love for American divorcee Wallis Simpson – who he had met a few years before during her marriage to businessman Ernest Simpson. He was unable to marry Wallis and remain King and Supreme Governor of the Church of England, and eventually decided to choose love over his royal duty.

After Edward abdicated, he was made the Duke of Windsor, and spent the rest of his life outside of the UK in exile, alongside his wife Wallis. Ten years after he decided to give up the throne in order to be able to marry the woman he loved, he released a shocking memoir entitled ‘A King’s Story’ that was ghostwritten by journalist Charles Murphy.

Royal expert Robert Jobson noted that much like Harry, when the exiled former King Edward VIII wrote a memoir, it generated a huge amount of interest. He said it was “published to a media storm in the 50s. It caused a sensation.”

Murphy spent three years with the Duke of Windsor working on the book, and decades after the shocking memoir’s release, author Jane Marguerite Tippett came across the journalist’s and Edward’s original notes and book drafts in the Boston University Library. “[There was] box upon box of notes and memos, including Edward’s own first drafts scrawled on yellow legal pads, much of which never [have been published before]”, the author explained, writing for the Mail Online.

This material was turned into a new text, called, Once a King: The Lost Memoir of Edward VIII published in 2023, and saw the former King be incredibly candid about his royal life and decision to pursue Wallis, even while she was still married.

“I knew I was falling in love with another man’s wife. When found myself falling in love should have withdrawn. But remarkable business about love is that it happens before one knows it,” it reads.

Wallis Simpson also released a memoir a few years after her husband, called The Heart Has Its Reasons, which explored her relationship with the former King – and was also reportedly ghostwritten by Murphy.

The Duke of Windsor, formerly King Edward VIII of Britain until his abdication, in New York with a first edition copy of his book 'A King's Story
    Edward’s book caused a ‘sensation’

Another shocking royal book that was written decades before Harry’s was the memoir of the late Queen Elizabeth’s childhood nanny Marion Crawford. While Time Magazine noted that the final text of The Little Princesses: The Intimate Story of HRH Princess Elizabeth and HRH Princess Margaret by Their Governess was “gossipy but quite innocuous by today’s standards” – adding “the nursery secrets that Crawfie revealed were hardly earth-shattering” – trust between the former staff member and the Royal Family was destroyed. Its publication was seen by the Firm as a massive betrayal, and they quickly cut all ties with Crawford.

Although Harry’s memoir Spare may have used a more contemporary lens – with strikingly informal revelations about his frost-bitten penis and loss of virginity dominating headlines – these previously sensational books show that interest in the private lives of the Royal Family has long been a booming industry.

Prince Harry seems to be willing to rebuild bridges with his family after falling out with them since he and Meghan Markle moved to the US, but William seems reluctant, a pal said

Prince Harry would like to reconcile with his family following years of tensions, but friends have claimed this is a “fantasy” as his brother Prince William wants to protect his wife and kids following Catherine’s cancer diagnosis.

Since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals and moved to the US in 2020, the pair issued a number of attacks against The Firm through interviews, TV shows, and Harry’s memoir, Spare, which was published in January 2023. It now seems that Harry is hoping to build bridges. Following the news of his father’s cancer earlier this year, he declared he loves his family and hoped the illness could have a reunifying effect.

Earlier this month, Harry travelled to London to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, but did not meet his family, even though a spokesperson for the Duke said he hoped to see King Charles “soon”. Amid speculation, a friend of the royals claimed that the major block in the way of reconciliation is coming from the Prince of Wales.

The unnamed friend claimed that at the moment, meeting with Harry is “the last thing” William and his wife Catherine want as they are “avoiding stressful situations” and focusing on her health. The friend, who spoke to The Daily Beast, claimed: “Meeting with Harry is the last thing that William or Catherine want or need right now.

“It’s a fantasy. It’s not about apologies or who said what, it is about protecting his family. Kate is recovering from cancer, and they are avoiding stressful situations.”

Another friend said the meeting between Harry and Charles earlier this year was a “significant step in the right direction” but added the road to reconciliation is still long and the idea that Harry and his children might head to Balmoral with the rest of the family in the summer is “wishful thinking”.

According to a friend of Charles and Camilla, William is “furious with his brother” but this is not sustainable as, once he becomes King, having an ongoing rift with his younger brother could make him look “petty and ridiculous”.

    Harry and William
Harry and William have not been close in recent years
The comments come as royal expert Tom Quinn told the Mirror that Harry has reached out to Princess Kate since he has been living in America. The royal author told us: “Since leaving the UK, Harry has actually contacted at least one royal: Kate.” However, he warned Harry might not receive the welcome he is expecting.

Tom suggested: “She is sympathetic, but fully supports her husband and, struggling with her own health problems, has no intention of playing peacemaker.” Meanwhile, sources have claimed that Harry and Meghan could be invited to Ghana after their “triumph” on their high-profile trip to Nigeria.

The West African country’s officials and leading icons are keen for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex to visit after their “success” in their neighbouring country Nigeria, sources exclusively told The Mirror. Insiders say the country’s leading bigwigs and artistic influencers are keen for the Sussexes to fly to Accra, the capital of Ghana that was so loved by Harry’s late Grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, and they will pull out all the stops to make them feel at home.

  • Prince Harry ‘playing victim after turning down King Charles olive branch’ – expert

Prince Harry ‘playing victim after turning down King Charles olive branch’ – expert

One royal expert says they find it ‘hard to buy’ the claims about why Prince Harry reportedly turned down an offer by his father King Charles to stay at a royal residence on his recent UK trip

Prince Harry in Nigeria earlier this month

Prince Harry is “playing the victim” after he reportedly turned down an olive branch from King Charles over security concerns, a royal expert has claimed.

Royal insiders claim that the Duke refused an offer from the King to stay in a royal residence during his UK stay earlier this month. It is said the offer was knocked back because it did not come with any security provision and he would be in a “visible location with public entrance and exit points and no police protection”.

Instead, Harry stayed in a hotel which meant that he had no reunion with the King, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment. His team swiftly released a statement saying his dad was effectively too busy to see him.

    Harry and Charles
Harry with his father King Charles

But speaking to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said Harry’s reported excuse “does not wash”. She explained: “I find it very hard to buy the argument that Harry wouldn’t feel safe in a royal residence. They are heavily guarded, as you would expect and there are usually several ways of getting in and out of palaces and castles, so he wouldn’t necessarily have to be seen.

“I’m afraid it does rather sound to me like Harry trying to make himself into a victim once again when we are told that the offer was there for him to stay in a royal residence.”

Harry has been embroiled in a long-running case against the Home Office after it was ruled in 2020, when he moved to the United States, he would no longer be given the “same degree” of publicly-funded protection when in the country. The Duke’s case has been rejected but there are now plans for an appeal.

During the case, the High Court was told that Harry believes his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet cannot “feel at home” in the UK if it is “not possible to keep them safe”. Since moving to the US, Archie and Lilibet have only been to the UK once, with Charles only having one face-to-face meeting with his youngest granddaughter.

And according to royal biographer Ingrid Seward, the security issue looks to be the barrier when it comes to a royal reunion. She told the Mirror: “Harry and Meghan’s security fears could well be a stumbling block to any kind of reunion with the Royal Family. But no doubt they have been invited to Balmoral this summer.

“As the late Queen discovered, Scotland offers the only quality time a monarch has to devote to family. It would be very sad if Charles was denied the pleasure of seeing his grandchildren just because of Harry’s unfounded security woes.”

She continued: “The King is wary of his troublesome son. Whatever he does to try and help him is turned into a snub. Nothing is ever Harry’s fault. It is either the fault of the British Government, or the lack of security afforded him by the Metropolitan Police. They have offered him a ‘bespoke’ arrangement, assessing each visit individually.

“Not good enough for Harry. He had his own arrangement to stay at a luxury private hotel where the entrance and exit are hidden from peering eyes and cameras and even the hotel staff don’t know what VIP guests are staying.”

The King has become a patron of the school he attended as a child after inheriting the role from his late-father.

Charles accepted the patronage of the Gordonstoun Association after he went to the prestigious Moray boarding school in the 1960s. Despite claims the monarch was miserable at the institution, the King previously made a touching nod to the school after choosing four Gordonstoun pipers to welcome him to St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh for the Honours of Scotland ceremony.

Charles spent five years at the boarding school between 1962 and 1967, securing five O-levels and two A-levels, before going on to study archaeology and anthropology at Trinity College at Cambridge. The patronage marks the first anniversary of his coronation, and also comes as both he and Queen Camilla take on a litany of new similar roles for charities and institutions.

The royal household recently announced a shake-up, with a host of new patronages for both the King and Queen following the death of the late-Queen Elizabeth. He now joins the Princess Royal as an official supporter of the school, with Anne holding the role of warden at Gordonstoun.

His time there was portrayed in an episode of The Crown, which depicts the 13-year-old Prince of Wales struggling to make friends and being subjected to brutal outdoor pursuits in the merciless Scottish weather. One former pupil of the school revealed in ITV documentary Charles: Our New King how he was often targeted by other boys, who blamed him for the strict rules there.

School principal Lisa Kerr said: “We are honoured that His Majesty has accepted patronage of the Gordonstoun Association. As our most prominent former student, His Majesty exemplifies so many of the qualities we seek to instil in our students, notably a lifelong commitment to service.

“That His Majesty has chosen a patronage of our alumni body is a great honour both for the school and all members of the Gordonstoun Association. We look forward to His Majesty’s engagement and support with the association and its members in the years to come.”

Heather Woodward, chairwoman of the association, added: “The aim of the Gordonstoun Association is to promote and strengthen pupils’ links with each other and the school. There is no person more suited than the King to highlight the unique experience of what it means to be a former student of Gordonstoun, and I am therefore delighted that His Majesty has accepted patronage of the Gordonstoun Association.

“Although it’s almost 60 years since His Majesty attended Gordonstoun, his duty to service is an example of how the ethos and values of the school teaches students to think about others rather than themselves. We are looking forward to engaging with the King on his views on how we can further the aims of the association.”

King Charles ‘in discussion to strip Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of royal titles’

The King was said to be in discussion with Prince William about the possibility of stripping the Duke and Duchess of Sussex if their titles.

King Charles has been “in discussions” about stripping Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of their titles, according to sources. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s titles have proved controversial after the couple stepped down from their roles as working royals.

Following their move to the US, the Palace faced calls for the couple to have their titles stripped. According to sources, this has been a topic of discussion for King Charles in recent weeks, with Prince William having “lengthy” conversations with his father about it.

The Sussexes proudly sat in chairs labelled “Duke” and “Duchess” during their recent tour of Nigeria and were said to be “delighted” their royal titles were on display.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal author and expert Tom Quinn said the King and Prince William “have had lengthy discussions about stripping Meghan and Harry of their royal titles, but they are terrified this would backfire and make the situation worse”.

Mr Quinn added: “The last thing they want is to give the renegade royals something else to complain about. William and his father know that even without their royal titles, Meghan and Harry would carry on travelling the world as if they were royals and most people in the world will still welcome them.”

When the couple stepped back from their roles as senior working royals in 2020, they kept their Duke and Duchess of Sussex titles but were no longer referred to as his or her royal highness.

Earlier this year, the Sussexes doubled down on their association with the Royal Family when they relaunched their website, calling it Sussex.com and using their royal titles, as well as and imagery of a coat of arms.

The website features a picture of the couple overlaid with the text: “The Office of Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex.”

The landing page also includes their credentials, short descriptions, as well as news about their activities such as their recent Nigeria trip.

But while the topic has been discussed, Mr Quinn thinks Charles is hesitant to strip the titles over fears of backlash. He added: “The last thing they want is to give the renegade royals something else to complain about.

“William and his father know that even without their royal titles Meghan and Harry would carry on travelling the world as if they were royals and most people in the world will still welcome them.”

Meghan Markle is said to be “begging” Prince Harry to fix the Royal feud, as she and the Duke of Sussex struggle to hold onto their Hollywood hopes amid the “fading” of their connection.

Meghan Markle reportedly shared “awkward pleasantries” with King Charles during a phone call last week, and it’s said she’s pleading with Prince Harry to mend the Royal rift.

The phone call between Harry and his dad, their first contact in six months, was described as “polite”, with Harry wishing the King a happy birthday.

Reports suggest that Meghan also spoke with the King over the phone, with their children, Prince Archie, 4, and Princess Lilibet, 2, sharing a pre-recorded video with their grandad.

It’s believed that Charles and Meghan’s conversation was somewhat awkward.

A source told Closer that amid last week’s phone call, the couple are finding it tough to keep their Hollywood dreams alive, leading Meghan to make an effort and plead with Harry to fix things.

This comes as they’re reportedly “desperate to save their reputation.”

“They’ve already been turned down for numerous projects they had in the pipeline, including an HBO documentary, which Meghan is blaming on the fact their royal connection is fading,” a source revealed to the magazine.

The source shared: “She’s become extremely snappy and begged Harry to do something to prevent them from being cut off completely…

“Even urging him to take a solo trip to talk to Charles and William in a desperate attempt to keep a foot in the door.”

This follows rumours that the Sussexes are eager to mend fences with King Charles III and the British Royal Family. They reportedly wouldn’t say no to an invite to spend Christmas at Sandringham in Norfolk.

An insider told The Times: “I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty.

“As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays.”

They were spotted walking alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate and William, on Christmas Day.
