Prince Harry Being Linked to Diddy Parties Has Major Flaw

Prince Harry was linked to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ alleged sex-trafficking parties based on an outdated court filing that has since been amended.

The Duke of Sussex was not accused of wrongdoing, and there is no evidence to suggest he knew about the allegations against the rapper or attended any alleged sex-trafficking parties.

Harry was referenced in a lawsuit filed in New York by music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones against Combs and other defendants.

A court filing was posted on social media, and screenshots of an extract were published by many British news outlets.

However, the circulated filing was from Jones’ original complaint, which was later changed, and the amended version removed a key phrase.

The first complaint, seen by Newsweek, said: “Mr. Combs was known for throwing the ‘best’ parties. Affiliation with, and or sponsorship of Mr. Combs sex-trafficking parties garnered legitimacy and access to celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artist, musicians, and international dignitaries like British Royal, Prince Harry.”

The amended complaint, also seen by Newsweek, removed the reference to sex-trafficking parties: “Mr. Combs was known for throwing the ‘best’ parties. Affiliation with and/or general business partnerships with Mr. Combs garnered legitimacy, immense success, and access to top and emerging artists, celebrities, famous athletes, political figures, musicians, and international dignitaries like British Royal and Prince Harry.”

While Harry and Combs were photographed together in 2007, after Combs performed at a concert in memory of Princess Diana, the court filing did not support any suggestion that Combs was in a position to offer access to Harry, or that he purported to be.

However, it may be significant that Jones’ lawyers removed the reference to “sponsorship of Mr. Combs sex-trafficking parties” being linked to access, as it puts distance between Harry and the serious allegations against the musician.

Jones’ attorneys also voluntarily removed two defendants from the case, while proceeding with a number of others, including Combs.

Among a host of allegations, the lawsuit suggests Jones witnessed “Mr. Combs providing laced alcoholic beverages to minors (LA home July 2023) and sex workers at his homes in California, the U. S. Virgin Islands, Florida, and Saint Barthélemy.” Newsweek contacted Combs for comment by email.

The filing said: “Mr. Combs required Mr. Jones to record him constantly. On several occasions, Mr. Combs took Mr. Jones’s cell phone and began recording himself.

“As a result, Mr. Jones has secured HUNDREDS of hours of footage and audio recordings of Mr. Combs, his staff, and his guests engaging in serious illegal activity.”

The filing detailed shootings and drug use alongside the allegations of sex trafficking.

Combs’ properties were raided by Homeland Security on March 25 following months of allegations against the musician.

Aaron Dyer, Combs’ attorney, said in a statement released to Newsweek: “There was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences.

“There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.

“Mr. Combs was never detained, but spoke to and cooperated with authorities. Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested, nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way.

“This unprecedented ambush—paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence—leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.

“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name.”

Prince William Photo With Diddy Raises Questions

Prince William being left out of photos of Prince Harry with Sean “Diddy” Combs in the aftermath of Department of Homeland Security raids on the rapper’s properties has sparked a backlash against the media.

Harry was named in a court filing from music producer Rodney Jones’ $30-million lawsuit against Combs. There is no suggestion the Duke of Sussex knew about, condoned or was in any way implicated in allegations of sex trafficking against Combs.

Articles about the saga used images of Harry with Combs and Kanye West from a concert marking what would have been Princess Diana’s 46th birthday in June, 2007, where William was also present.

Many outlets, however, opted not to use the images that included William. This decision may in part have been simply out of recognition that the Prince of Wales was not mentioned in the court filing, unlike his younger brother. Neither is accused of wrongdoing.

The filing, seen by Newsweek, read: “Mr. Combs was known for throwing the ‘best’ parties. Affiliation with, and or sponsorship of Mr. Combs sex-trafficking parties garnered legitimacy and access to celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artists, musicians, and international dignitaries like British Royal Prince Harry.” This was later altered in a second amended complaint to remove the reference to “sex-trafficking parties.”

Williams’s omission in some photos sparked fury among Harry and Meghan Markle’s online supporters who felt the “heir” (William) was being protected by the British media at the expense of the “spare.”

Richard Bacon, a U.K. TV presenter, posted an image of the front page of The Sun on X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: “You’ve cut Prince William out of that picture. Harry is literally named in the suit as ‘an example’ of some Diddy has met. He met Prince William at the same event.

“All that courtesy you just showed Kate. Why are you doing this? It doesn’t do you any favours.”

It would appear that William was in fact not actually cut or cropped by the news outlets who ran stories on March 26 as a number of pictures appear on the Getty Images picture library include some that did not have William in them.

However, it would have been possible to publish a picture containing William and some editors clearly chose the images in which he was not pictured.

One social media user wrote: “Why are various news outlets cropping out Prince William from photos relating to this party they both attended?

“Furthermore, Prince Harry is mentioned ad [sic] an example of people P Diddy has associated with. That’s it, no smoking gun, just as an example.”

It should be noted that Harry’s inclusion in media coverage was not simply a product of the fact he has been photographed with Combs, but instead came about due to the decision by lawyers for Jones to name him.

It is not clear why they chose to reference Harry specifically and not William. The Daily Telegraph reported that Harry had only met Combs once, and had not attended any of his parties.

Another Harry and Meghan supporter wrote: “The irony is that the reason why Harry’s name was mentioned was to point out the high-profile nature of people Puff (Combs) got to meet.

“The fact that he was named above Prince William is because, despite the royal heirachy [sic], people have more interest and consider Harry more highly.”

Aaron Dyer, Combs’ attorney, said in a statement released to Newsweek: “Yesterday (March 25), there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr.

Royals in shades! How the late Queen first wore sunglasses in public in 1954, and King Charles, Prince William, Anne and Princess Charlotte have followed in her footsteps

Queen Elizabeth II first wore sunglasses in public during a royal tour of Australia and New Zealand in 1954.

She picked a pair of round tortoiseshell frames, a choice that would be considered equally chic today.

Now, the Prince of Wales is making waves with his choice of eyewear.

During a trip to Cornwall earlier this month, William opted for Finlay London‘s ‘Marshall’ sunglasses, a design he also frequently favoured last year.

Interestingly, his brother Prince Harry has worn the same design despite their deep rift.

As for Princess Anne, for years she has worn the same pair of Team GB Adidas sunglasses – demonstrating her preference for practicality over expense.

Elizabeth continued to wear various bespoke designs over the years, particularly after undergoing cataract surgery in 2018.

In later life, Her Majesty wore glasses with transitional lenses from brand Silhouette  that darkened in sunlight.

Here, we explore the eyewear brands endorsed by members of the Royal Family.

    Finlay London

While Prince William has recently made waves in Finlay London’s ‘Marshall’ sunglasses, he was not the first royal to wear the British brand.

Prince Harry wore the same design to the F1 Grand Prix in Austin last October.

And a number of royal ladies are fans of the London-based label too.

Meghan Markle showcased their ‘Percy’ tortoiseshell shades in 2017, before she and Harry were engaged.

Meanwhile, Kate Middleton opted for the ‘Henrietta’ style at Wimbledon and also during her royal tour of the Caribbean with William in 2022.

Jack Brooksbank even sported a pair of Finlay London frames on his wedding day to watch Princess Eugenie walk down the aisle at St George’s Chapel.

    Adidas

Over the years, Princess Anne has solidified her status as fashion icon, a title that extends to her accessories.

One standout pair of specs from her collection is by Adidas.

The frameless design incorporates red polarised lenses and the Team GB logo – showing how they are more at home with athletes than royalty.

However, Anne has carried off the look on a number of occasions, including during an appearance at the 2018 Chelsea Flower Show.

Similar to his sons, King Charles has a preference for sunglasses with transparent frames.

    Illesteva

Italian eyewear brand Illesteva has garnered followers in both Zara Tindall and Meghan Markle.

Meghan took the lead by sporting a striking pair of tortoiseshell cat-eye sunglasses during the 2018 Invictus Games.

Subsequently, in 2022, Zara accessorised her ensemble with a similar design at Epsom Racecourse.

Following in her mother’s footsteps, Charlotte put on a stylish display as she watched the Wimbledon 2023 men’s final.

The young royal was wearing a floral dress and pink Leosun sunglasses.

Although this design was from a previous collection, the brand experienced a 450 per cent surge in web traffic during the royal’s outing.

Queen Elizabeth II was the first member of the Royal Family to wear Ray-Ban sunglasses.

And several royals have followed suit by choosing eyewear from the iconic brand.

Excited’ Princess Kate is the ‘driving force’ behind the new project, marking her return after surgey

THE Princess of Wales has been a “driving force” behind a new early years project – but won’t return to work until doctors give her the “green light”.

Kate, 42, is “excited” about the new initiative and has been regularly been “kept up-to-date” despite undergoing preventative treatment for cancer.

The royal has yet to return to her public role four months after undergoing hospital surgery and later revealing her diagnosis.

A senior royal aide said she will only resume those duties once she has the “green light from doctors”.

But, Kate has read a 60-page report on her early years project and is tracking the work – published today.

The mum-of-three launched The Royal Foundation Business Taskforce for Early Childhood in March last year.

A senior royal aide confirmed: “The Princess of Wales was the driving force behind the business task force.

“She has been kept up to date since the inception of the task force and she has read the report and been briefed on it.”

In a speech at Natwest HQ the royal mum-of-three said it was time to think “radically” in order to create a workforce that is “resilient, flexible and able to work through differences with each other”.

She added: “The healthy development of our children relies on healthy adults.”

The report published today suggests investing in early years could add at least £45.5bn to the national economy each year – the equivalent of 25 per cent of government annual spending on the NHS.

Eight major firms – including Iceland, Ikea, Lego and Natwest – have signed up to follow the report’s findings.

The Princess of Wales is said to be keen to see “momentum grow in the coming months and years” as the project she created “is rolling on as she recovers”.

A spokesman for the Princess of Wales said: “This should not be seen as the Princess of Wales returning to work.

“The work of the prince and princess’s projects are always on. That is no different at The Centre for Early Childhood Over the past five months there has been a huge deal of progress.

“However, early childhood is a huge priority for the Princess of Wales.

“She has been kept fully up to date throughout the process and the development of the task force’s work and she has seen the report.”

Kate set up the task force last year and left it in the hands of businesses to develop the report for the Royal Foundation.

Although Kate is not meddling in government policy, it is understood the centre has shown the report and findings to 10 Downing Street and departments of Health and Education.

Christian Guy, executive director of The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, said: “I know, having briefed the princess on this, that she is enormously grateful to the members of taskforce who have made such fantastic progress on this work over the last year.

“She feels passionately about the transformational impact of getting this right, together with business both for current and generation and many more to come.

“And I know she is keen to encourage all businesses, no matter what their size of purpose, to join us on the journey.

“She is looking forward to seeing momentum grow in the coming months and years ahead.”

Kensington Palace’s original statement on Kate Middleton’s surgery

KENSINGTON Palace released a statement in January after Kate had undergone surgery.

Sources made it clear Kate would be out of action until at least Easter.

The palace said: “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate.

“She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.

“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.

“The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements.

“She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

Christian added: “She’s excited by it, to have eight of the most significant businesses in Britain come forward to make the case to their fellow business leaders is vital and exciting for her and priority going forward for our centre and her work.

“When she launched it, she really challenged businesses to go beyond the usual thinking.

“That’s why these five areas are set out including social and emotional skills.

“We often hear businesses talk about why they are so important, but we do wait a long time before we focus on them in our system.

“The science shows us they are crucial in early years so she is very excited about that in particular.

“Businesses are saying we want to get involved, invest and shape the future workforce now.”

Kate set up the centre to encourage businesses to prioritise early years and produce a bridge between science and UK businesses.

Proposals announced today include changing business culture to prioritise early childhood, help families access basic support, offer parents greater support and flexibility at work, strengthen social and emotional skills, and support initiatives that increase access to care.

Prince William is a pillar of strength for Kate

EXPERT analysis by author and royal expert, Ingrid Seward:

Steadfast when his family needed him, William has proved himself as a man and future monarch of strength and compassion.

While he might not have been present during Kate’s courageous video address — make no mistake, he has been by her side every step of the way.

William has stepped up with school-run duties and provided a “great source of comfort and reassurance” to his wife.

But he has also been a comforting and reassuring presence for the public.

From leading members of the Royal Family at the Commonwealth Day Service to enjoying cheerful banter with youngsters on a youth centre visit, he hasn’t put a foot wrong.

But ultimately he is only human.

To have your father and your wife diagnosed with cancer in such quick succession is heart-shattering.

It’s a remarkable insight into the character of this young man that he has been so incredibly brave.

Theirs is a very private turmoil which has been brought into the public arena by the nature of their roles as future King and Queen.

William must feel the weight of enormous responsibility, both personally and for the monarchy, of which he is now the public face.

But he knows his most important role is that of dad and husband.

He will make that his priority.

This is a distinct difference from the ways of the past, where your royal role came before the role of spouse and parent.

Think back to when the Queen was young.

    William’s priority is his family

It was a man’s world then — and she was forced to abandon her children in a way that William is determined not to.

William and Kate waited until the school term was over and their children were home before making their public announcement.

    They needed to be prepared.

In this, they will have had the wholehearted support of Charles — who knows what it feels like to be brought up by nannies.

William was also acutely aware of the lack of his own father’s presence in his life, especially when things went wrong.

In 1991, he was accidentally hit over the head with a golf club when he was at school and Diana was having lunch in her favourite restaurant San Lorenzo.

The call came through that William had been bashed on the head and they thought he might die so it was very serious.

Both Charles and Diana rushed down to Ludgrove.

William was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital and then to Great Ormond Street Hospital and Diana went with him.

But ever a man of duty, Charles prioritised his engagements.

William is determined to do things differently.

A royal biographer has revealed that Meghan Markle has been feeling “absolutely, very low” after facing criticism over her new brand – American Riviera Orchard.

A royal biographer has revealed that Meghan Markle has been feeling “very low” after facing criticism over her new business venture. Angela Levin made the revelation during a conversation on GB News, where she discussed the Duchess of Sussex’s new lifestyle brand American Riviera Orchard. Levin said that Meghan is “thin-skinned” and finds it difficult to deal with criticism of her venture. The Duchess announced her new business venture in March. “She’s been crying a lot,” Levin said.

“She’s absolutely, very low. She’s very thin-skinned. Anybody who criticises her, she goes mad,” Levin added. “She can’t stand it. She can’t cope with it.”

Levin said that Meghan is still eyeing up a potential career in politics, adding that her so-called “thin skin” does not bode well with that. “I don’t think she’ll ever make it as a politician,” Levin said.

“I heard she was crying the other day because of criticism of American Riviera Orchard. If you want to be a politician, you need to have very thick skin,” she added.

    ‘Meghan was in tears’

Royal author Tom Quinn, too, previously told The Mirror that Meghan was “in tears” over the criticism of her new brand. “The one fly in the ointment is Meghan’s new internet brand, America Riviera Orchard. Meghan was in tears when the brand launched and her new jam was widely mocked for being expensive and nothing special,” Quinn said.

“She has reached the point now where she thinks that anything and everything she does will be unfairly criticized. Like her husband, she feels that people are unfairly picking on her – she cannot understand why people don’t admire her work,” Quinn added

Meghan gifted 50 jars of strawberry jam to influencers across the United States to soft launch her brand. While she had previously deactivated her Instagram account, she returned to the social media platform during the initial announcement.

Meghan’s brand pays a tribute to her home in Santa Barbara, California. The name is a reference to how the sunny coastal region is called the American Riviera.

Meghan Markle has just been blamed for ‘taking’ Prince Harry away from Britain and becoming the ‘face of the blame’ for everything that’s been destroyed since then.

These admissions and accusations have come through Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries director Liz Garbus.

She shared everything after being asked if the Harry & Meghan series could ‘help’ the duo’s standing with ‘British naysayers’ and the media.

She responded by telling the LA Times, “One of the things that I explored in the show was that, in many ways, this was Harry’s journey.”

“That Harry had this very fundamental primal trauma as a child and felt very clearly that the royal family did not protect his mother.”

“And, as a child who loses a mother, there are things that aren’t forgivable,” she also added.

“And I think that Meghan was on this journey with Harry, as opposed to her pulling Harry out of something that he would have stayed in were it not for her.”

“Meghan really became the face of the blame for ‘destroying’ something that the British public felt was so important to them.”

“And then [add] throwing every misogynistic and racist trope into that—as has historically been the way women have been positioned in these kinds of narratives,” she admitted before signing off.

‘Embarrassing’: How Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could lose their $19 million Montecito mansion following royal’s admission to using drugs

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could face serious consequences – including losing their sun-soaked California home – if it is found the Duke of Sussex lied on his US visa documents about his past drug use.

Prince Harry warned ‘no one is above the law’ as he could

Turning Point USA contributor Erin Elmore says she believes that Prince Harry should face the consequences if it’s found that he had lied in any sort of capacity on his US visa application.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle could lose their $19 million mansion in Montecito, California if the Duke of Sussex is found to have lied on visa documents about his past drug use.

In his tell-all memoir ‘Spare’ released in January last year, Harry confessed to using drugs in his younger years, prompting calls for the Biden administration to make his visa application public.

Applicants for US visas are generally required to disclose whether they have ever taken drugs, with country often declining visas to convicted or admitted drug users.

Last year, The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, took legal action against the Department of Homeland Security, demanding the Prince’s visa application be released.

A judge is currently reviewing the case.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has weighed in on the matter, saying it could be “very embarrassing” for the Prince.

“Harry may have included drug use on his application form. If he hasn’t, it will unquestionably make headlines, and that will not be beneficial so far as the Sussexes are concerned,” Mr Fitzwilliams told The Sun.

Mr Fitzwilliams said the Sussexes may have benefitted from “double standards” if the Prince was given special treatment by US authorities.

“If you attack an institution, supporters of that institution, or those who believe that you’ve been very unwise and very foolish, believe that there are double standards,” he added.

In his memoir, Prince Harry admitted to taking marijuana, magic mushrooms, ayahuasca, and cocaine, saying the recreational usage helped him heal from the death of his mother, Princess Diana.

The Duke of Sussex risks serious consequences if he is found to have lied on his visa application, including deportation from the US – meaning he and Meghan would lose their luxury mansion.

  • Prince Harry’s groundbreaking statement from 2016 confirming for the first time that he was dating Meghan Markle is no longer available on the British royal family’s website.

Prince Harry’s groundbreaking statement from 2016 confirming for the first time that he was dating Meghan Markle is no longer available on the British royal family’s website.

In November 2016, Harry’s communications secretary released a rare statement condemning the “wave of abuse and harassment” experienced by his then-girlfriend after news of their romance became public. The statement remained on the royal family’s official website in the years since, but the link is no longer active.

According to Newsweek, the internet archive site Wayback Machine was able to access the link on Dec. 3, 2023, but not a week later on Dec. 10, indicating it was removed during that span.

Harry’s spokesperson said in the statement, in part: “His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public — the smear on the front page of a national newspaper; the racial undertones of comment pieces; and the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments. Some of it has been hidden from the public — the nightly legal battles to keep defamatory stories out of papers; her mother having to struggle past photographers in order to get to her front door; the attempts of reporters and photographers to gain illegal entry to her home and the calls to police that followed; the substantial bribes offered by papers to her ex-boyfriend; the bombardment of nearly every friend, co-worker, and loved one in her life.

“Prince Harry is worried about Ms. Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her,” he continued. “It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm. He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game.’ He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his.”

The Duke of Sussex, 39, recalled in his memoir, Spare, that he was advised “silence is the best option” regarding the media attention surrounding his newly unveiled romance with the Suits actress, but he pushed for a “course correction immediately.”

“We needed a statement out there,” he wrote in the book. “Within a day we had a draft. Strong, precise, angry, honest.”

Prince Harry said the statement was “everywhere. And changing nothing. The onslaught continued.” He added that the move also made his father, now King Charles, and brother, Prince William, “furious.”

“Because they’d never put out a statement for their girlfriends or wives when they were being harassed,” he wrote.

The removal of Prince Harry’s statement isn’t the only change to royal.uk since then. In March, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s bios on the website were merged into a joint profile. At the top of the page reads, “As announced in January 2020, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped back as working members of The Royal Family.”

There is also a link out to Meghan and Harry’s recently launched website, sussex.com.

The bottom of the profile page shows links to the announcements that Harry and Meghan would no longer be working royals, including Queen Elizabeth’s 2020 statement following the Sandringham Summit.

“Following many months of conversations and more recent discussions, I am pleased that together we have found a constructive and supportive way forward for my grandson and his family,” she said. “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved members of my family. I recognize the challenges they have experienced as a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years and support their wish for a more independent life. I want to thank them for all their dedicated work across this country, the Commonwealth and beyond, and am particularly proud of how Meghan has so quickly become one of the family. It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life.”

Is America Losing Interest and have grown tired of in Meghan Markle? It’s time for the British to reclaim her

Despite Meghan Markle’s concerted efforts, which included her meticulously curated jam and a state visit to Nigeria, a commentator asserts that only about one-third of Americans hold a favorable opinion of the Duchess of Sussex.

According to a recent Newsweek poll, 36 percent of surveyed adults expressed a positive view of Meghan, while 24 percent disliked her, resulting in a net approval rating of +12. Notably, this rating represents a significant decline from the survey conducted just three months prior, in February.

Meghan Markle is not a popular figure in the United States

In an analysis featured in The Telegraph, David Christopher Kaufman describes Meghan as well-educated and exceptionally articulate. While she often emphasizes her mid-level accomplishments, her most enduring achievement remains her marriage into the Windsor family.

Kaufman points out that Meghan’s challenge lies in her unwavering belief in the lasting impact of her achievements, even after she has ceased actively achieving. He suggests that both Harry and Meghan might find more abundant opportunities in the UK than in the US. Kaufman humorously observes that the couple currently resides in an opulent Montecito villa funded by familial resources, awaiting their next venture. Perhaps a return to Britain, where Harry’s birth affords greater prospects, could be advantageous.

Despite their initial reluctance to engage with tabloids, Harry and Meghan’s decision to enlist a UK-based PR team reflects their recognition of the importance of maintaining communication with the British media. Recently, Meghan made new PR hires—Charlie Gipson and Kyle Boulia—to revitalize her public image.

Additionally, the couple’s ambitious Spotify partnership resulted in substantial financial losses. Following the announcement of the end of Meghan and Harry’s Spotify deal, Bill Simmons, Spotify’s head of podcast innovation, criticized the couple, labeling them as “grifters.”

Meghan’s subsequent deal with Lemonada Media, announced in February, marked her return to the podcasting world after the abrupt conclusion of her Spotify venture.

  • I know Prince William will be hugely successful as King – he just needs to do two things, claims royal expert

I know Prince William will be hugely successful as King – he just needs to do two things, claims royal expert

PRINCE William will be “hugely successful” as the future king if he channels the strengths of both his parents – King Charles and the late Princess Diana – claims an expert.

Royal historian and author Gareth Russell says the Prince of Wales has “very different influences” which will make him “exciting” as a monarch.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Gareth said it’s wrong for people to shoehorn “William as being Charles’s son” and “Harry as Diana’s son”.

The historian explained: “We sort of forget they have similarities to the other parent.

“William was immensely close to his mother and Diana was someone who was more of a radical royal compared to Elizabeth II.

“So he has these two very different influences and that I think makes them exciting as a future king.”

Gareth claims that Prince William will be “successful” if he embodies qualities from a number of Royal Family members.

He explained to The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson: “If he welds those two legacies – the willingness to change that Diana had and the enthusiasm for tradition Elizabeth II had – he could prove, I think, hugely successful as King William the fifth.”

This year has seen Prince William leading Royal Family duties, following King Charles and Kate Middleton being diagnosed with cancer.

William had temporarily cleared his diary to care for his wife Kate and their three children after she underwent abdominal surgery in January.

The Times reported that William wanted to “reassure the public” by stepping in.

All other working members of the Royal Family are understood to be continuing with public engagements in the King’s absence.

The Sun understands Charles and William have become incredibly close in recent months.

The King has been regularly staying at Windsor Castle on Sunday nights to spend time with his eldest son and heir to the throne.

In March, the Prince of Wales gave an emotional speech about Diana, and said that his mother taught him that “everyone has the potential to give something back”, as he paid tribute to her at the Diana Legacy Award.

Prince William said: “She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back; that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life.

Everything you need to know about Princess Diana’s final years

After years of separation, Prince Charles and Princess Diana divorced in 1996.

In 1997, Princess Diana spent her summer in the south of France and Italy. During August, she visited Sarajevo, Bosnia, to highlight the fight against landmines.

By the end of the month, the Princess of Wales and Dodi Al-Fayed travelled to Paris together.

It was revealed that Princess Diana stayed longer than planned in Paris due to a row over her land mine campaign.

Travelling in a black Mercedes Benz, Princess Diana was involved in a car crash in the Pont de l’Alma tunnel on August 31, 1997.

The Princess of Wales died at the age of 36.

Her funeral was held on September 6, 1997. As her coffin made the journey from Kensington Palace to Westminister Abbey, Prince William and Prince Harry walked behind their late mother.

Princess Diana’s mother, Frances Shand Kydd, and sisters, Jane Fellowes and Sarah McCorquodale, also attended the funeral.

The Princess of Wales was buried at her childhood home – Althorp House

If it wasn’t for her tragic death, Princess Diana would have been 62 today.

“That legacy is something that both Catherine and I have sought to focus on through our work, as have the 50,000 young people who have received a Diana Award over the past 25 years.

“I am so proud to see this belief of my mother’s manifested in the amazing young people receiving the Legacy Award tonight.”

Millions of hearts broke worldwide as the news of Princess Diana’s death was announced in 1997, with the late royal being dubbed the “People’s Princess.”
