However, some new information has come to light that could mean that the Kardashians are much more royal than previously thought. It has recently been revealed that the family is related to royalty, which means that they aren’t just royal by TV standards, but they are also royal by blood.

Despite this, given that members of the Royal Family are born into it, they haven’t had to work hard to get to the top, because they were already there. Given that Kim Kardashian has done just that, does being royal by blood actually mean anything to her?

Kim Kardashian Is Descended From Scottish Royalty

It turns out the Kardashian siblings and Kendall and Kylie have direct links to Scottish royalty from their mother, Kris Jenner. It’s believed that they were already somewhat aware of their links to Scotland, given that Kourtney Kardashian‘s daughter Penelope has ‘Scotland’ as a middle name.

However, what’s not known is whether the family knew about their links to Scottish royalty. This was uncovered by Scottish journalist Craig Williams, who was aware of the family’s links to Scotland, so decided to do a bit of digging in regard to their Scottish heritage.

What Craig ended up uncovering was something that he, and likely no one else, ever expected would be uncovered. He was able to find out that despite it being quite a distant relation, the Kardashians are related to Scottish royalty.

What was discovered was that they are related to a man called Robert Roy MacGregor, who was involved in the Jacobite rising, which was done as a way to resort James VII to the throne in Scotland.

Kim and her siblings have this link to Robert via their great-great-great-grandmother, Margaret Elizabeth Magee, who has an even more distantly related grandfather called Thomas MacGee, who was a relative of Robert.

It is through all these people that the Kar-Jenners get their link to Scottish royalty. Robert is believed to be related to the first King of Scotland, Kenneth MacAlpin, and because he is related to Robert, that means the Kardashians are related to him.

Could Kim Kardashian Ever Benefit From Her Heritage?

Given that she is related to royalty, another big question given this news is whether Kim and the rest of the Kardashians will ever be able to benefit from their royal heritage.

 

Well, it turns out that she potentially could. It is believed that given that she is related to Scottish royalty, there is the potential for Kim, or anyone else in the family, to claim royal status. It could also mean that, despite it being quite a far-off chance, she could one day be on the throne herself.

Kim seems to have an obsession with the Royal Family, with many claiming that they were laughing at her after she brought Princess Diana’s amethyst cross necklace. This comes a few years after Kim brought some of Elizabeth Taylor’s jewelry, so it seems that she is trying to build up a collection of famous icons’ jewelry.

However, given her links to Scottish royalty, it would be thought that Kim might be able to get into royal events. During Queen Elizabeth’s royal jubilee celebrations in 2022, Kim was snubbed an invite to the celebrations, so it appears that just because you’re related to royalty, doesn’t mean that you’re guaranteed an invitation to these celebrations.

Kim Kardashian Doesn’t Need To Be Royalty

Of course, where having a link to the Royal Family might be really exciting to some people, it appears that Kim doesn’t need this link. With a net worth of $1.2 billion and other members of her family having net worths in the millions, it’s not like they’d need the money.

Plus, Kim is a businesswoman. She has her game, SKIMS, and KKW Beauty, just to name a few of her successful businesses. So, whilst she’s busy running her many businesses and looking after her children, it’s unlikely that she would have much time to live the royal lifestyle.

 

However, this could be put into question given one story from 2022 that was ‘leaked’. A ‘source’, who many believed to be Kris Jenner, told the press that Kim is getting offers of dates from a variety of people, including A-list actors, athletes, billionaire CEOs, and… royalty!

Obviously, this is just a rumor, and it isn’t known whether there is actually any truth in the reports or not. However, members of the Royal Family are known for marrying within their inner circle, particularly since before the last century, so given that it’s now known that Kim is related to royalty, this could be a possibility.

But given that these reports were made in October 2022 and nothing else has come to light since then, it’s unlikely that these rumors are true. Plus, as has been already mentioned, she is a proud and busy businesswoman and is unlikely to want to give all of that up for royal life anytime soon.

There has always been a lot of speculation as to how Diana’s death could have been prevented and this is one of them.

When they divorced, it was more than clear that this wasn’t done on good terms and there had been a somewhat obvious strain in the marriage for a period of time before their separation was announced. But whether Diana was prepared for what came next remains to be seen.

When Charles and Diana got married, she was given the title Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Wales. However, when they separated, there were a lot of questions as to whether Diana would be able to keep these royal titles or not.

It is known that she remained The Princess of Wales up until her death, with her daughter-in-law Kate Middleton taking on this title in 2022, which happened after the Queen’s death when Charles ascended the throne and gave the Prince of Wales title to William; the title that was taken away from Diana was her HRH title.

Even though the Queen was head of state and had said that she was more than happy for Diana to keep the HRH title, despite them having quite an up-and-down relationship.

However, Charles wasn’t as convinced. He was apparently adamant that Diana should lose her royal title, and eventually, he was able to get his own way.

Had Diana Kept Her Titles And Royal Protections, She Might Be Alive Today

Her HRH title now taken away from her led Diana to lose her right to royal protection, and so she would have to pay for her own protection. Royal security guards have been highly trained on how to protect members of the Royal Family in a variety of situations, something a private bodyguard couldn’t completely offer.

 

This was further confirmed by Diana’s former bodyguard Ken Wharfe, who said that the whole point of having a protection officer is to have someone who “uses intelligence, their contacts and their instincts” to keep the person whom they are protecting safe from any harm.

However, the bodyguard who was with Diana that night, and who was also the only person in the car crash who didn’t die from it, had not received that type of training. Even if he had some qualities that would be necessary for a bodyguard to have, they weren’t exactly up to the level of protection that someone like Diana would need.

Wharfe had even said that had he still been her bodyguard at this point, he never would have allowed her to get into the car in the first place due to the risks surrounding it.

Even if he hadn’t been able to do that, she likely would have had a whole team around her as opposed to just the one bodyguard, who may have traveled in a convoy like many members of the Royal Family have, which would have decreased the likelihood of the crash happening.

Obviously, it’s worth pointing out that it’s not a complete guarantee that keeping the HRH title would mean that Diana would still be alive today, but there is still a small chance that none of this would have happened had she still had it.

 

Could Prince William Restore Diana’s Title Posthumously When He Becomes King?

What’s potentially even more heartbreaking than his mother dying was the promise that William had made to her before she died. After her HRH title was taken away from her, William promised his mother that when he became king he would restore the royal title in full.

However, as William is yet to ascend the throne and Diana had died before even Charles became king, William will never be completely able to fulfill the promise that he made. But there is a chance that he could restore this title posthumously when he eventually becomes king.

 

After all, many people have received an award posthumously, so there could be a chance that a royal title would be able to be restored posthumously too. Whilst this is highly unlikely to happen during King Charles’ reign, it could happen during William’s.

There is still quite a long way to go until this happens, but since Diana’s death, times have changed. William and Harry are grown up and whilst there is still a lot of love from the public towards Diana, the monarchy has also changed, so there’s no guarantee that William will actually follow through with his promise.

Now, Prince Harry’s visits to Markle’s workplace may have been discreet but some details surrounding his trip have since been revealed in Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s book, Finding Freedom (via Town & Country).

For instance, one production staffer told the authors that Prince Harry kept a very low profile throughout his visit and some people in the crew didn’t even realize that the royal was there until after he left. Those who met with Prince Harry, however, recalled how the royal kept talking about how “proud” he was of Markle.

The prince was also eager to know how TV production worked and Markle gave a tour of the set at one point.

While the show’s cast and crew had been “so gracious” about Prince Harry’s set visit, it was also revealed that there was “certainly a little jealously” directed at Markle after “she suddenly became the jewel in the crown of the show” with the former actress having her own “discreet bodyguards” and her name being deliberately removed from shooting schedules.

Despite these hints of tension on the set of Suits, however, most of Markle’s cast mates (Wendell Pierce, who played her onscreen father, was notably absent) were in attendance in London for her royal wedding.

The Royal Family Reportedly Started To Intervene On The Show

Markle’s final months on the show certainly posed some unique challenges after she started dating Prince Harry. But as it turns out, the former actress’ involvement with the royal family also meant that the Firm would offer some input into the series, whether Suits creator Aaron Korsh liked it or not.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Korsh confirmed that the royal “weighed in on some stuff” on the show, especially on matters concerning Markle’s depiction of Rachel onscreen.

For instance, during one episode, Korsh planned a moment when Rachel and Mike are supposed to “have a thing” and in the said scene, Rachel was supposed to refer to it as a “poppycock” instead of bulls***. The expression is also meant to be a nod to Korsh’s in-laws.

 

While Korsh is unsure about how the Firm got hold of the show’s scripts, he learned that the royal family had been going over them after he got feedback regarding Rachel’s line.

The creator also couldn’t recall who specifically talked to him about removing the term from Markle’s line but the moment he understood how it could be spliced into something else to exploit the actress, Korsh removed it. The creator also said, “I wouldn’t want somebody doing that to her either.”

Meghan Quit Acting After Exiting ‘Suits’

Soon after Buckingham Palace announced Prince Harry’s engagement to Markle, the star appeared in her first joint interview with Prince Harry where she confirmed that she intends to leave acting for good. In that interview, she reflected on how they were “very, very fortunate” to have Suits go on for years.

After working on the show for seven seasons, however, Markle was ready to start a “new chapter” in her life with Prince Harry.

And while she didn’t have much screen time left soon after her engagement was made public, Markle made sure to give her longtime Suits fans the happy ending they wanted for her character. She made her final appearance on the show in the season 7 finale entitled Good-Bye where she and Mike tie the knot before moving to Seattle to run their own law firm.

 

Now, despite the renewed interest in Suits, Korsh remains reluctant to reboot the show for the most part. If something like this were to happen in the future, however, it seems that Markle has no intention of making an appearance, even for just a brief cameo.

Instead, it has been widely reported that the duchess is keen on focusing on her family and philanthropic work instead.

 Despite the incident, the Crown Hotel in Stornoway invited Charles back to celebrate his ascension to the throne after the Queen’s passing, acknowledging his past underage drinking at their bar. It is unclear if Charles accepted the invitation.

One thing about life in the Royal Family is that they don’t like to be seen putting a foot wrong, especially out in public. Everything is expertly organized down to the finer details, including ensuring everything happens at the exact time it is supposed to without a single hitch.

However, one person who could have put all of this into disarray was none other than King Charles himself. When he was a young boy on a school trip, he ended up breaking some rules. Unlike the times Meghan Markle, for example, broke royal protocol, Charles also broke the law. These actions were so serious that his personal security guard ended up losing his job because of it.

King Charles Attended Boarding School At Gordonstoun

When he was younger, the then Prince Charles attended Gordonstoun, which is a boarding school for children all the way from the age of 4 through to 18 years old. Charles spent his latter school years there and was at Gordonstoun for a total of five years.

Part of the reason why he was sent here was that his father, Prince Philip, believed that he needed to ‘toughen up’, a revelation that was made in Charles’ biography. With Charles wanting to gain his father’s approval, and Philip believing Charles’ sweet nature was a sign of weakness, he was sent to Gordonstoun to change that.

Charles attending school was also a change for the Royal Family, as traditionally, the heir apparent would be privately tutored at home as opposed to going to school. But clearly, his parents felt that this was what would be best for him.

He even managed to maintain a close relationship with his sister, Princess Anne, while he was there; a relationship that still remains close to this day.

Charles Drank A Cherry Brandy While On A School Trip

Going on school trips can be an exciting time for anyone, especially if that trip is an overnight one. Even though he attended a boarding school, the thought of being able to go elsewhere with his friends was likely an exciting time for Charles.

However, there was one part of this school trip that was taken a little too far. At the time he was only 14 and there was a range of different ages on the trip with him. At the time, the plan was that everyone on the trip would have dinner at the Crown Hotel at the Isle Of Lewis before they would then go on to watch a movie at the Stornoway Playhouse.

Despite these plans, Charles and his group of friends had other ideas.

While they were still at the Crown Hotel, the older guys he was with decided they wanted a drink at the bar, so Charles decided to join them. However, in the UK the legal drinking age is 18, and with Charles being four years under the legal limit, many would think he would be unable to buy a drink.

It’s not known whether Charles ordered the drink himself or if the older boys he was with did it for him, however, he was still able to drink his drink of choice, which was a cherry brandy. He reportedly chose this because the only other time he had had alcohol was when the Queen had given him some of this previously before he went out hunting.

This clearly wasn’t the best move as he shouldn’t have been drinking at that age, however, what made the situation even worse was that there was a journalist at the same bar as him, who spotted him drinking this cherry brandy.

As the journalist had witnessed this happening, this ended up being printed in the newspapers pretty quickly. At the time, Buckingham Palace strongly denied the story and said it had never happened, but it soon came to light that it was the truth.

As he was accompanied by a bodyguard on this trip, the fact that Charles had been drinking and this had made national news, resulted in the firing of his bodyguard as the Queen was unhappy with the turn of events.

Why Was Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor Given The Title Of Princess?

People were a little confused when it was announced that Lilibet would be given the title of Princess. However, just because her parents decided to remove themselves from the royal family doesn’t mean she is completely removed from it.

According to online sources, after the accession of King Charles III, Lilibet became entitled to use both the title of Princess and the style of royal highness, as she’s the grandchild of the Monarch. This is pursuant to the letters patent issued by King George V in 1917. This means that Archie is not Prince Archie as well.

Harry himself is technically still a prince, despite desperately wanting to step away from his royal-ness. He and Meghan also kept their titles as Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The only thing that really changed with their removal from the royal family is that they lost their funding from the family, and they lost their His/Her Royal Highness titles.

“The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became Monarch. This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace,” said the Sussexes’ Archewell organization in a statement.

It’s unclear if Harry and Meghan will use the titles with their children. Fans have been suspicious of the couple’s true intentions for stepping away from the royal family for months now. South Park’s “Worldwide Privacy Tour” episode, while obviously a parody, does a great job at pointing out how the couple who seemingly only wants privacy thrives off attention.

Lilibet has met a few members of the royal family, despite the drama surrounding her parent’s relationship with them. Prior to the Queen’s death, Lilibet was able to meet Queen Elizabeth II when Prince Harry and Meghan traveled with their family to London for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022. She also met her grandfather, King Charles III, that day as well.

 

Royal experts agree that Lilibet has most likely not met Prince William, Kate Middleton, or any of their children. Royal expert Christopher Andersen spoke to Us Weekly in June 2022, after the Platinum Jubilee, and explained that the brothers made no effort to communicate with each other during the celebration for their grandmother.

Their family feud is very much still ongoing, meaning their children will face the consequences of not getting to know one another. It isn’t very pleasant to see a family being ripped apart by one another, especially considering that Prince William has openly stated how much his kids adore his brother, Prince Harry.

It took months for Lilibet to even be recognized as a member of the Royal family. The Princess was born in the United States in early June 2021 and, according to online sources, wasn’t recognized by the royal family’s official website until late July.

When she was added to the list, she was given the ranking as the eighth member of the Royal Family in the official line of succession to the throne.

Fans on Twitter believed that the delay in listing Lilibet on the royal family’s website was due to Meghan and Prince Harry. Some have speculated that the couple chose to be difficult about sending the birth certificate to the Queen, and Lilibet’s absence from the list was the royal family’s way of retaliating.

When Lilibet and Archie weren’t present at the Queen’s funeral, many people were curious as to where they were and who was taking care of them. While there are no age restrictions, their parents felt the children were too young to attend the ceremony for their great-grandmother.

According to online sources, Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, has helped out with the children frequently in the past, so there’s a good chance she was with them while Meghan and Prince Harry went to London.

Meghan also admitted to having “an amazing nanny” named Lauren on an episode of her podcast Archetypes. She said that Lauren has been working with the family for some time now. She helps provide downtime for the couple, so there’s a chance she was also babysitting them while the couple was abroad.

Prince Harry claims to be a very hands-on dad as well. His life in California is much more relaxed than it was in England, offering him more time to spend with his children. One of the things he loves to do most with them is playing in their garden. However, he does admit that the two can be quite a handful.

Speaking with Serena Williams in 2022, he explained how he tries to keep his mental health in check to ensure he can be the best father for his two children by looking for breaks, he can use to focus on his own needs. “Okay, one of the kids has gone to school. The other one’s taking a nap. There’s a break in our program. It’s like, right, it’s either workout, take the dog for a walk, get out in nature, maybe meditate,” said Prince Harry to Serena.

 

Prince Harry is hopeful that his children will have a meaningful connection to their family in England someday. “I’ve said before that I’ve wanted a family, not an institution — so of course, I would love nothing more than for our children to have relationships with members of my family, and they do with some, which brings me great joy,” said Prince Harry while speaking with People Magazine in 2023

Many families might have rules, such as eating all their vegetables or helping to do the washing up, but the Royal rules are a lot more strict, and many of them have been around for centuries. While some might seem to make perfect sense, others are a bit more out of the ordinary.

One is that royal heirs are not allowed to travel together in fear that something might happen to them. For example, if King Charles and Prince William were heading to the same destination, they would have to travel separately in case something happened to one of the planes they were in.

Another example is that Royals aren’t allowed to sign autographs. If some people happen to meet their favorite celebrity they might ask them to sign something, people aren’t allowed to do this with the Royals. If they do, their request will be refused due to the worry that people might use their signature for something they shouldn’t.

While these might seem like reasonable rules to have, there are some other rules that the Royal Family must follow that are a little strange. For example, when hosting a Royal dinner, the monarch must start by talking to the person on their right first.

The guest of honor at these events is always put on the monarch’s right side, and they will talk to them first. Once the first course is done, they will then turn to talk to other people.

For example, Lewis Hamilton was once sat to the left side of the Queen and tried to engage in conversation with her, but as she was yet to speak to the person on her right, she politely told him to stop and said that she would speak to him once she had spoken with the person on her right.

The actual reason behind the banning of them being able to eat shellfish is actually quite reasonable. The reason is that shellfish carries a risk of causing someone who eats it to get food poisoning and become very ill from it.

Members of the Royal Family often have very busy schedules, having to visit many different places and people from all over the world and leaving very little room to rest. Because of this, it’s not really ideal if they get ill, especially if it’s over a few days or even weeks.

If they do get ill, then this inevitably will have to lead to the cancellation of some of these engagements. While in many cases this is unavoidable, there are some cases where it can be avoided, which is by not eating foods that carry a risk of giving them food poisoning.

For example, a couple of food items that are banned from the Royal household are onions and garlic. While shellfish is banned due to food poisoning, onions and garlic are banned for the simple reason that the late Queen didn’t like them, a fact confirmed by Queen Consort Camilla when she appeared on MasterChef Australia.

However, as the Queen passed away in September 2022 and King Charles is now on the throne, it’s currently not known whether onions and garlic are allowed back on the menu or if Royals continue to not eat it purely in memory of her.

Another food that Royals don’t eat is a lesser-known food, which is foie gras. It was King Charles who decided that these shouldn’t be served in the Royal household back in 2008.

Specifically, the insider said her eldest son, George, is going through a stressful time at school that she wants to be present for.

“Prince George has exams that week and the Princess wants to be at home to support him,” they explained, though it’s unclear what exams the child is preparing for.

Kate has been seen in public various times over the last few weeks, as she’s represented the royal family at numerous public events, including giving a lecture to University students as well as cheering England on during the Rugby World Cup games.

Kate’s decision to temporarily step away from her royal duties may not come as a surprise, as a July report hinted that the princess was reducing her workload as she has an increasing “lack of interest in royal duties.”

To put in perspective, the report says that Kate has made 40 solo public appearances in addition to 40 joint ones with her husband, Prince William, which is significantly less than the 120 royal engagements she did in 2019.

The princess is often tight-lipped on her personal life, but she made a rare comment on the importance of mental health in May, potentially foreshadowing her decision to reduce her royal engagements. “It is so important that we all talk about our feelings and emotions. The good ones and the more difficult ones too, because we all have them,” she said.

So, when they discovered what Harry and Meghan were telling people, the Beckhams felt slighted. The insider says the former friends had a “tense phone call,” but have now officially cut ties. “Any making up now is so unlikely,” the insider said, calling David and Victoria “absolutely bloody furious.”

Rumors of a feud between the Beckhams and Harry and Meghan have been brewing since last year. Though David and Victoria were present for the royal couple’s 2018 nuptials, they didn’t extend an invite to their son’s 2022 wedding to American heiress Nicola Peltz.

Speculation that Harry and Meghan believed David and Victoria were spreading stories about to them to the press began circulating last month.

“Every night [Harry and Meghan] scoured the internet to read the newspaper reports and the trolls’ postings on social media,” royal expert Tom Bower claimed in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors.

 

“Irrationally, they grouped the two together and fed each other’s frenzy about the media,” he went on. “Convinced that as champions of goodness they were being persecuted by mendacity and racism, they felt victimized by the mildest criticism.”

Bower said that Meghan “suspected Victoria Beckham of indiscretion,” which led to Harry confronting David. “Outraged, Beckham’s truthful denials damaged their relationship,” the royal expert went on, appearing to reference the infamous phone call that severed their friendship for good.

For now, neither the Beckhams nor Windors have commented on the suspected feuds between their families. But this isn’t the only stark claim that Bower makes in his book. He goes into detail about Harry and Meghan’s relationship with his family, claiming that Meghan made Duchess Kate Middleton cry during dress fittings for her wedding. Moreover, Bower says Queen Elizabeth was relieved when Meghan decided not to return to the U.K. for Prince Phillip’s 2021 funeral.

Although Harry and Meghan may have relocated to California to escape the publicity they were facing in his native U.K., it appears drama continues to follow them wherever they go.

But aside from Megxit, what may be more surprising is what Prince Harry was doing prior to all of this and outside his life in The Royal Family. It’s always been clear from his point of view that the Royal way of life isn’t for him, which is perhaps why in his younger years, Harry decided to get work as a cowboy.

This happened when he was 19 and on a gap year after having finished his school exams. During this gap year, he spent three months in Queensland, Australia on a ranch, where he worked as a cowboy — something that is very far removed from Royal life.

However, the fact that his grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, was a big fan of horses and had been riding them from the age of three through to the later years of her life, it might not be all that big of a surprise that Harry decided to take a much more regular job during this time working with horses.

However, it wasn’t just horses that he was responsible for, as he was working with quite a few different animals. He was responsible for handling cattle, and he would even have to repair and maintain fences to ensure they didn’t break, therefore allowing the animals to escape.

 

This was likely the ideal job for Prince Harry as, just like his grandmother, he is used to riding horses and is also quite a keen polo player.

He did go to a rodeo in Texas, which surprised many, given that Meghan has a big stance on animal rights, and even persuaded him against participating in the annual Boxing Day with his family when she spent her first Christmas with them in 2017.

This more than likely brought back plenty of memories of his time as a cowboy during his gap year, although he was a spectator this time and didn’t participate in the event.

Prince Harry Served In A Regiment In The Army

Another time in his life that Harry looks back on fondly is one that he was involved with for a little bit longer than his cowboy days, and that was his time in the army.

He spoke about this time in his memoir, Spare, which was believed to be a major security threat at the time due to some of the details of his time in the military that were shared. Harry even detailed the number of killings he made during his time in Afghanistan, but thankfully, the perceived threats didn’t become reality.

 

Harry spent ten years in the army and was eventually able to rise to the role of captain. It was also due to his military role that he decided to create The Invictus Games in 2014 for sick, injured, and wounded military and veteran personnel, a role that he takes great pride in.

He, perhaps controversially, had some of his military titles taken off him by the Queen as a result of Megxit, however, nothing can take away the time he spent in this role that helped build his character.

It’s safe to say that Meghan and Harry have been doing a lot, especially in terms of work, since they left The Royal Family. After all, they still need to fund their lifestyle, especially their security, either for when they are in America, the UK, or anywhere else in the world.

In 2021, Prince Harry was announced as a celebrity commissioner for an American study that was looking into the misinformation that is spread across social media.
