I’m A Celebrity’s Barry McGuigan has famous best friend who urged fans to vote for him

Barry McGuigan was a huge hit with I’m A Celebrity fans in the jungle and it turns out the former boxer has a famous best friend who was urging fans to vote for him

Former boxer Barry McGuigan was a big hit with I’m A Celeb viewers during his stint in the Aussie jungle this year, before his exit on Thursday. But many viewers didn’t know he boasted a famous fan back home – none other than telly host Eamonn Holmes. Eamonn took to Instagram to root for Barry, posting a snap of the ex-boxer captioned ‘Vote Barry.’ He wrote: “We’ve known each other for 45 years and are best friends. Hope you can help keep my pal Barry in the Jungle.”

This show of camaraderie from Eamonn comes hot on the heels of his ex-spouse Ruth Langsford’s visit to the I’m A Celeb campsite to support her Loose Women colleagues GK Barry and Jane Moore, with the latter being the first to get the boot. Ruth was also there to feature on the spin-off programme, I’m A Celeb Unpacked, joining Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson, and Kemi Rodgers.

During his jungle jaunt, featherweight champ Barry, aged 63, has won over both viewers and fellow campmates with his heartfelt stories and charm. On Tuesday 4 December, the campmates were treated to a night at the Jungle Arms pub, complete with nibbles, drinks, and a karaoke session where Barry’s performance of Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl left everyone in awe.

One admirer exclaimed on X: “One thing about the jungle arms it always makes you realise the least obvious one can sing, Barry I love you man” while another chimed in with “who knew Barry McGuigan could sing so well #imaceleb.”

McFly’s Danny Jones also stunned the crowd with a rendition of Bon Jovi, sparking calls from fans for a potential duet down the line. “When they leave the jungle Barry and Danny need to release a single together,” one viewer penned. Echoing this sentiment, another fan chimed in: “Can Danny and Barry release a song please? Thanks. #ImACeleb”.

Earlier in the series, Barry shared a poignant story about losing his cherished daughter Danika to cancer. She tragically passed away five weeks after being diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in 2019.

Speaking to his fellow campmates, Barry revealed: “She had leukaemia, when I was making [The Boxer] with Daniel Day Lewis, three weeks from the end I had to leave because she’d been diagnosed with leukaemia, they thought she wasn’t going to get better but she fought back and she won it. She had two years of chemo.”

After overcoming her initial illness and pursuing a career in acting, Nika was sadly diagnosed with cancer again in her early thirties. Barry confided in Jane Moore about Nika’s second cancer diagnosis, revealing that she had been experiencing “pains in her tummy but she was making the movie, she put it off and went to the doctor, called us all in. Stage 4 bowel cancer, 5 weeks, 5 weeks she died.”

Daytime show Loose Women launched a 25-hour Talkathon which came to an end on Friday, December 6 and during the event the panel was joined by a host of big names

The set of ITV’s Loose Women was gatecrashed by some famous names, including one of the most famous musicians on the planet, during a show ‘first’.

Coldplay frontman Chris Martin joined the panel for its first-ever 25-hour Talkathon to urge the nation to ‘get talking’ about mental health issues. The event, which started on Thursday, December 5 and concluded during the usual show on Friday, December 6, was part of Loose Women’s 25th birthday celebrations and in support of ITV and STV’s Britain Get Talking campaign, which has sparked over 200 million conversations so far.

Ruth Langsford brought the Talkathon to an end on Friday by thanking everyone who had supported the event which was broadcast on ITVX between the launch show and the finale. There had been a rolling list of presenters and guests including Chris Martin.

On Thursday evening the panel was joined by Charlene White, who announced she had some surprise guests – before returning with Chris Martin and chef Jamie Oliver. Both also shared their own advice on what they do to look after their own mental health.

Earlier in the show, Olivia Attwood Dack joined Christine Lampard, Kelle Bryan and Katie Piper to share the wise saying her nan and mum passed on and explains how the meaning of love has changed for her over the years: “Never date the wrong person because you can fall in love with anyone.”

First thing on Friday morning, Loose Woman panellist Coleen Nolan swapped studios to join fellow ITV Daytime show Good Morning Britain, as hosts Kate Garraway and Rob Rinder shared their support for the Loose Women.

Speaking to them live, Coleen shared how she is finding the epic challenge so far. Responding to Kate asking “You must be shattered?” Coleen joked: “I actually don’t know where I am. I am so tired but I am so happy to see fresh faces!”

Coleen also revealed how the Talkathon has allowed her to get to know her fellow Loose Women even better, she said: “Because there has been no real restrictions over the 25-hour period, and we’re after the watershed, we’ve been able to have longer on topics and we’ve really opened up a lot about ourselves. Janet was really surprising. She really opened up and normally she is quite guarded with it, but she let the guard down.”

Coleen continued: “Men do find it hard to talk and we’ve discussed every topic possible over the last 20 odd hours and already the reaction has been really good.”

Discussing the unexpected visit and support from Chris Martin and Jamie Oliver, Coleen said of Chris: “He writes things he has been worried about or things he may be angry about and he writes them all down and gets it all out of his system and then he can carry on his day or go to sleep at night because he doesn’t keep it all here [in his head], he writes it all down. He’s actually amazing.”

Exclusive: I’m A Celeb’s GK Barry went from ‘poor to Porsche’ after finding overnight fame

GK Barry discussed her overnight fame with The Mirror before her entrance into the jungle, with last night’s episode showing her talking to Reverend Richard Coles about her first flashy purchase following her newfound income

Social media star GK Barry has amassed millions of fans in just four years, and she may soon have millions more – if she manages to make it to the final on Sunday night and be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

GK – real name Grace Keeling – rose to fame in 2020 after posting funny skits and commentary on TikTok, building an audience of 3.6 million on the video-sharing platform.

But fame wasn’t always on the vision board for the 25-year-old, with GK telling The Mirror it was “an entirely accidental career for me” as she hadn’t expected to go viral with her videos.

The star, from Cambridge, also has 1.5 million listeners on her YouTube podcast, Saving Grace, where she interviews celebs and influencers.

However, despite her success, she insists she was terrified about launching herself into the world of internet entertainment. She explained: “I called myself GK Barry because I didn’t want people from school or university finding my videos. I was embarrassed about it at first.

“It’s ironic – when you’re small, a lot of people will judge you for the content you are putting out. But as you start getting bigger, all those people who judged you want to become your best friend.”

GK made her first big TV appearance in August on Loose Women. Born in 1999, the year the show began, she was one of its youngest panellists. Despite talk of a feud between her and Frankie Bridge, she says the gang are the “nicest people ever”.

GK adds: “I never thought they’d have someone like me on there. And I was so nervous when I first started because I thought, ‘My God, what if no one gets my sense of humour?’ The audience is very different to people who watch my podcast, but it has been received so well and everyone on there is lovely.”

Last night’s I’m A Celeb episode saw Richard quiz GK on her overnight fame and social media success. He asked: “So Grace did you go from working in Costa to all of a sudden being able to buy a house?”

The podcaster replied: “Yeah.” Continuing, Richard queried: “So you didn’t go from poor, poor, poor, a little less poor, a bit more money, you went from poor to rich?”

To which GK answered: “Yeah, pretty quick. And I remember being like, ‘I’m making enough money to buy a new car now’ and I remember a Porsche drove past me as I had that thought.

“I remember thinking, ‘I could buy a Porsche and it would not be an issue.’ I went to the centre, I was looking at an old one that was cheaper, but the one that I wanted was next to it and it was so nice.

“I rang my accountant and I was like, ‘Can I do it?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah’, so I bought it.”

The social media personality, and now TV star, may see her fame and success grow even further if crowned Queen of the Jungle.

  • I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins shows ‘true colours’ as she battles Coleen Rooney

I’m A Celebrity’s Maura Higgins shows ‘true colours’ as she battles Coleen Rooney

I’m A Celebrity star Maura Higgins and Coleen Rooney showed their extremely competitive side in the Arcade of Agony trials with their teams

I’m A Celebrity star Maura Higgins ‘showed her true competitive colours’ as she made it to the top four fighting for immunity.

Coleen Rooney, Danny Jones, Oti Mabuse and Maura were the top four stars fighting for a ticket to the Cyclone after joining the other stars in the Arcade of Agony. Whoever wins the spot in the highly-desired Cyclone will get immunity from the next two vote-offs and be closer to being crowned the winner.

At the trial, the stars were allocated a grabbing machine loaded with balls to win. Each ball they won had a number of tickets they could deposit into the ticket collection box. However, every go on the machine needed a coin, which was only available to retrieve from a box of fish guts.

Coleen got off to a flying start and even ended up with a bug in her ear. Medics rushed in to remove it but it ended up crawling out. Soon, it was time for Maura and her team to have a go at the challenge. Although she wasn’t ‘excited’ about it, she ended up being competitive and ‘broke a nail’.

Body language expert Judi James said that “Maura showed her true colours last night in terms of ruthless competitiveness and a will to win and it was a formidable sight.”

Speaking about her performance at the trial, she said: “Love Island fans already know all about this girl’s heroic grit, but this might have been the first time jungle fans were allowed to glimpse it.” Speaking to Paddy Power Games, Judi added: ““Maura will know she needs the pass to the final more than Coleen and even Oti. She came into the show late and fans prefer to vote for celebs that were there at the start.

“She was a ‘might’ in terms of being voted out recently and she’s barely mentioned her professional status to throw rank, while the others and even ‘humble’ Coleen has been boasting about world fame and things like White House visits and big cars.” Judi pointed out Maura’s tendencies to ‘be entertaining’ during trials rather than ‘show her capacity for bravery’ by screaming and yelling. However, Maura showed a new side that Dec called ‘primaeval’ last night.

    Coleen Rooney

    Image:

The body language expert said: “Waiting for the task to start, she was poised like Usain Bolt and her arms were held out to ‘dive’ into the tank with no trace of squeamishness or fear. The critters were suddenly irrelevant to Maura and in the moments when she squatted on the ground, smashing the plastic balls to get to the tickets, she really did reveal her ‘primaeval’ side.

“She even beat Coleen in the huge burst of released adrenalin as the task ended, spontaneously throwing her arms out wide in a gesture of aggressive arousal release and yelling ‘F**k me, that was good!’ while the others were panting and recovering. I’ve seen Ant and Dec cracking up at contestants before but not bent double in shocked laughter as they did last night.”

The expert continued: “Maura only showed a glimpse of what she’s capable of here and deserves to be in the Cyclone Challenge if the fans want some real entertainment. She and Oti even stepped up to the ‘shower moment’ in a fan face-off with Coleen. It’s the raised arms, arched back pit-bare facing in the direction of the camera or side on to it that is the money shot and, although Coleen won this headline-getter last night, Maura showed she’s still very much in the game.”

Eamonn Holmes aided by girlfriend in public outing as he’s seen in wheelchair

Eamonn Holmes was spotted on his second festive outing of the week with new girlfriend Katie Alexander, days after making their red carpet debut as a couple

Eamonn Holmes was aided by his doting new girlfriend as he got caught in the rain on the way to a Christmas concert.

The TV presenter, who turned 65 this week, regularly uses a mobility chair now following a few years of health issues. This has included a double hip replacement, slipped disc, spinal surgery and a broken shoulder. Though he does daily physiotherapy sessions to help with his mobility, he has said he fears never being able to walk unaided again.

But his relationship with new love Katie Alexander appears to be going well as the pair were papped at their second festive event in a week, just days after making their red carpet debut as a couple at the star-studded TRIC Christmas lunch at swanky hotel The Londoner.

Katie, 43, looked glam in a white mini dress and matching coat, which she teamed with polka dot tights and black heels and a black, white and orange scarf. She carried a large umbrella to shield Eamonn, who was in his mobility chair, from the rain as they arrived at a Christmas carol concert in aid of rescue dogs in west London tonight.

It follows reports that Eamonn was ‘seething’ when he saw ex Ruth Langsford had flown to Australia to be a special guest on I’m A Celebrity spin-off show Unpacked. A source apparently claimed Ruth never wanted to go abroad with Eamonn during their 14-year marriage due to her fear of flying.

But Eamonn is said to have been ‘baffled’ by this and has ‘no hard feelings’ towards Ruth, who he split from in May this year. Speaking to MailOnline, another source said: “‘It’s all nonsense. He’s living his life and there are no hard feelings. He’s never flown into a rage and it’s just laughable that he would.” The Mirror has contacted Eamonn and Ruth’s reps for further comment.

While Eamonn appeared to quickly move on with new partner Katie, Ruth looks like she’s given herself a ‘divorce glow up’ in recent months. The 64-year-old is looking better than ever and has a chic new haircut, glowing skin and has been giving herself regular pamper sessions.

Her close pals have also been rallying round her since her self-declared ‘single girl summer’ earlier in the year. A source told OK! magazine: “Although this split happened a while ago, Ruth feels shattered as she’s had to put a brave face on for so long. It’s been a really tough time for her as her whole life has now changed. She no longer has Eamonn and their son Jack is all grown up living his life – she feels a little lost. But she’s got a very strong group of friends who have all been there for her and will support her – with the main person being Rylan.”

A joint statement released by Ruth and Eamonn at the end of May following months of speculation simply read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

Exclusive: Zayn Malik cancels concert just days after voice ‘wasn’t working’ as he shares heartfelt apology

Zayn Malik announced at the last minute earlier this week he was postponing his sold-out concert in Newcastle but the hitmaker has now revealed the real reason behind the decision

Zayn Malik has opened up after cancelling a show on his debut solo tour.

The musician who is currently embarking on his Stairway to the Sky Tour has seen him perform in cities such as London, Manchester, Leeds, Wolverhampton and is due to wrap up in Edinburgh in just a number of days. However, just minutes before he was due on stage in Newcastle on Tuesday night, fans were left devastated after a tannoy announcement confirmed he wouldn’t be performing.

A member of staff at Newcastle City Hall told fans that the show “Will no longer go ahead tonight. We apologise for the late notice, it was his hope that he would be able to continue with the show. But this is no longer possible. Please contact your point of purchase for reschedule or refunds. If you have parents or guardians collecting you, please stay in the auditorium and wait to be collected.”

Zayn, 31, has since spoken about the incident. He said: “I’m just going to apologise to everybody in Newcastle yesterday. I’m sorry I didn’t make the show yesterday, my voice wasn’t working at all. I needed a day to kind of rest, I appreciate everyone showing love and still being here.”

Taking to his Instagram on Tuesday night, Zayn said he had been hoping that the show would be going ahead and had “held onto hope until the very last moment.” But while the announcement offered hope that the concert may be rescheduled for a later date, the Mirror understands that this won’t be happening and the event has been cancelled. A spokesperson for Zayn was approached for comment.

But while there was initial fury from fans inside the venue, many leapt to the defence of Malik. One on X, formerly known as Twitter said: “People getting mad at Zayn for cancelling his Newcastle show is so wrong. the man has anxiety and has recently lost someone he grew up with for years. ‘fans’ have lost all compassion. these Zayn ‘fans’ attending this tour are really starting to annoy me…”

A second added: “Oh no poor Zayn. Hearing the show in Newcastle has been cancelled. I hope he is alright.” Throughout the tour, Zayn has performed some of his solo hits including his debut single, Pillowtalk and Ignorance Ain’t Bliss. But the tour also comes at a heartbreaking time for the singer.

Last month, his former bandmate Liam Payne tragically passed away aged just 31. Following the news, Zayn announced he would be rescheduling the North American leg and opening two nights of his UK tour. He was due to start his tour on October 23 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco, California.

In view of his 54.2 million followers on Instagram, the Pillowtalk singer previously said he was postponing the US leg of his Stairway To The Sky tour. He wrote: “Given the heartbreaking loss experienced this week, I’ve made the decision to postpone the US leg of the STAIRWAY TO THE SKY Tour. The dates are being rescheduled for January and I’ll post them as soon as it’s all set in the next few days. Your tickets will remain valid for the new dates. Love you all and thank you for your understanding.”

At the end of his concerts, he shares a tribute to Liam during his 2024 track, Stardust. However, his sold-out concert in Liam’s hometown of Wolverhampton had much more emotion to it. A screen read: “Liam Payne 1993 – 2024. Love you bro,” alongside a pink heart. He went on to say on stage at the University of Wolverhampton’s The Halls: “I’ve been doing something, at the end of the show, every night, and it’s been dedicated to my brother Liam Payne. Rest in peace. I hope you’re seeing this, we’re in your hometown tonight, Wolverhampton, this is for you, Liam.”

MasterChef winner slams BBC for failing to censor Gregg Wallace as he claims staff knew about behaviour

Former MasterChef winner Mat Follas, who appeared on the BBC show in 2009, has shared his experiences working alongside Gregg Wallace amid claims of ‘sexual misconduct’ in the workplace

A former Masterchef winner has claimed BBC spent 20 years encouraging Gregg Wallace’s alleged ‘inappropriate behaviour’.

The MasterChef star – who has taken a step away from presenting the BBC cooking show – has had historical allegations of misconduct issued against him which are being externally reviewed. The 60-year-old also faces fresh claims of harassment, including touching a woman’s bottom at an event and pressing his crotch against another one while filming on a different show.

His lawyers previously said it was “entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature” and Wallace has vehemently denied all allegations made against him.

MasterChef Staff members and former contestants, including celebrities such as Emma Kennedy and Kirsty Wark, have claimed Wallace made them feel uncomfortable on set. And now, former winner Mat Follas has shared his experience on the show after he won the 2009 series.

Follas has claimed that Wallace’s alleged behavior was ‘allowed’ and ‘certainly not discouraged’ by BBC bosses who reportedly saw everything that was going on. The former MasterChef winner described Wallace as ‘loud’ and ‘inappropriate’ and claimed that show runners have ‘spent 20 years encouraging the behavior’.

Taking to Instagram to share his opinion, Follas wrote: “I may regret posting this but let’s have some balance rather than sanctimonious b*******.. Anyone who has been in the studio is not surprised at the revelations about Gregg’s behavior in the studio. Anyone who has been there knows there was an environment where Gregg was allowed, encouraged… certainly not discouraged.

“IMHO (in my honest opinion) the blame is cultural they hired a loud, inappropriate, funny man to perform, they have spent 20 years encouraging the behaviour. He should have been censured when I was on the show 16 years ago but no one did, that I saw… including the BBC observers that were often present.”

The former winner added that he had no comment on other behaviour Wallace has been accused of outside the studio. He said: “It takes huge bravery to step forward and he deserves what comes if they are accurate. I guess that the end of my chances of reappearing on the show.”

It comes after it was revealed that two MasterChef celebrity Christmas specials have been pulled from the BBC’s schedule after the former greengrocer stepped away from hosting the cooking show while the complaints are being investigated. Wallace apologised on Monday for claiming complaints about his behaviour came from “a handful of middle-class women of a certain age”, adding he will now “take some time out”.

He faces allegations from 13 people across a range of shows over a 17-year period, as reported by BBC News on Thursday, with many others since sharing their experiences.

The Mirror has approached Wallace’s representatives and a BBC spokesperson for comment on this story.

  • ITV I’m A Celebrity’s Barry McGuigan and Maura Higgins dealt major blow after shock double eviction

ITV I’m A Celebrity’s Barry McGuigan and Maura Higgins dealt major blow after shock double eviction

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmates were left stunned when hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly announced that two stars would be evicted

Two celebrities have been booted from the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! camp.

Both Barry McGuigan and Maura Higgins were sent packing during Thursday night’s episode of the ITV gameshow in a dramatic twist. This year’s celebrities were left stunned when hosts Ant and Dec revealed that they were being sent home. Following his exit, Barry said: “As I’m the original cyclone, I am kinda disappointed with that slipping and looking like a clown, it would’ve been great,” he said of missing out on the famous Celebrity Cyclone.

The Irish boxer went on to say that the show was “harder” than he initially expected. “It makes me feel great, all my kids are the same age as him, or around the same age as him,” Barry said about “lovely” Danny Jones, who recently commented that the sportsman was like a dad to him. When prompted on who he would like to win, Barry stated: “Danny boy!”

During her exot chat with Ant and Dec, Irish bombshell Maura, who finished in seventh place said: “I’m really happy! I said it last night, I said it this morning, I was like ‘It’s my time,’ I had a gut feeling and my gut feeling is never wrong!” She added that she knew it was “tough” but the show was the “most amazing” experience.

“I really did embrace it, I didn’t think I’d embrace it as much as I have,” she said, before adding that she knew the show would be “tough” but she revealed it was “tougher” than what she expected. After leaving her much-loved bubble bath in her hidden camp, Maura explained that living in luxury was filled with good memories, having been isolated with Reverend Richard Coles, who she branded a “lovely human.”

The star who found fame on Love Island explained it was “wild” that there had been no arguments in the camp this year, whereas in previous years, celebs have come to blows. When quizzed on who she wanted to win, Maura said: “I love every single one of them, I want Father Richard to win! He would not expect it.”

“Barry and Maura leaving is crazy #imaceleb,” said one fan on X, formerly known as Twitter. A second added: “Both Barry and Maura, OMG #imaceleb.” Meanwhile, a third commented: “Maura and Barry, WHAT?! #imaceleb.” Another angry fan tweeted: “Barry and Maura were final worthy, we’ve been robbed! #imaceleb.” “You all are MONSTERS for voting out Barry and Maura #imaceleb,” fumed another.

Irish star Maura Higgins has also been evicted

Their eviction came just days after Radio 1 DJ Melvin Odoom became the fourth celebrity to be sent packing. Following the announcement over his departure, Melvin told Ant and Dec: “I was ready to go, but it’s been a really wild experience. Ups and downs. The best thing about it has been the people.” He said everyone had his back before saying Oti was “his girl” and shouted out Barry McGuigan. “I did struggled on certain days,” he said.

Just after Dean McCullough waved goodbye, and shortly after Loose Women’s Jane Moore was sent packing, the most recent episode saw Tulisa make her departure. Speaking to Ant and Dec, Tulisa admitted she found the jungle life challenging, describing it as “hard in there”.

She reflected on her experience as a “whirlwind” and expressed how she couldn’t fathom her accomplishments inside the camp. “You’re just going to be more grateful for everything. The food you eat, the people that you love… you don’t realise how good you’ve got it,” she confessed.

ITV Loose Women ‘awkward’ moment as Gino D’Acampo questions on-screen ‘kiss rule’

Gino D’Acampo appeared on ITV Loose Women on Wednesday afternoon alongside panellists Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Kelly Brooks, Kelly Holmes

Loose Women hosts were left taken back as Gino D’Acampo made an ‘awkward’ remark about an on-screen ‘kiss rule’.

During Wednesday’s episode of the ITV hit chat show, panellists Kaye Adams, Frankie Bridge, Kelly Brooks, Kelly Holmes were joined by the Italian TV chef, 48, as he promoted his new cook book.

However just seconds after appearing on the panel, things took a turn as Gino went around a gave each of the presenters a kiss on the check.

It appears as though he broke a rule as he went on to reveal: “They told me ‘please don’t kiss the ladies on the table’ but what kind of Italian would come on the show without kissing the ladies. The rules are rubbish.”

The panellists laughed off the remark as Kelly turned to Gino and joked: “Well I think you’ve just got fired.” Everyone burst out laughing as a baffled Gino questioned: “What, for a kiss?”

Viewers watching at home wasted no time sharing their reaction online as one viewer took to X, formally known as Twitter and pointed out: “That was very awkward…. #loosewomen Frankie looked uncomfortable.”

#Another commented: “#loosewomen Gino being so careful with his innuendo today.” One wrote: “Careful Gino they’ll be wanting to cancel you. #loosewomen.” Meanwhile another asked: “Do you really think they told him not to kiss them?? #Loosewomen.”

Talk soon turned to Gino’s ‘ultimate air fryer cookbook’ that has quickly become one of Sunday Times Bestsellers. Kaye was quick to point out: “So you say what type of Italian doesn’t give someone a kiss when they greet them but what kind of Italian uses an airfryer.”

Pointing at the book, Gino insisted: “An Italian who made a hell of a lot of money.” Kaye jumped in: “At least you are honest.”

Gino’s remark comes following the Gregg Wallace controversy surrounding allegations of inappropriate comments to female contestants.

The former MasterChef presenter, 60, has recently been embroiled in scandal after a number of people stepped forward to claim he had used inappropriate sexual language on the set of his BBC show.

Attempting to address the allegations, Gregg released a string of videos to his Instagram Stories in which he argued those making claims against him were “a handful of middle class women of a certain age” but he later apologised for the remark.

Meanwhile, Celebrity MasterChef Christmas specials have been dropped from TV schedules. The BBC has confirmed that it will not air the previously recorded specials, Radio Times reports.

Two episodes, titled Celebrity MasterChef Christmas Cook Off and MasterChef Meets Strictly Festive Extravaganza, were due to air over the Christmas period, but have since been pulled after the BBC faced mounting pressure.

ITV Loose Women’s Kaye Adams had to ‘reinvent Christmas’ as she opens up on devastating loss

Kaye Adams opened up on Loose Women about losing both of her parents and how this has impacted Christmas for her, as the panel discussed grief during the festive period

Loose Women presenter Kaye Adams has admitted she had to “reinvent” Christmas following the loss of a parent in a candid confession.

The ITV star discussed grief and Christmas with her fellow Loose Women – Frankie Bridge, Kelly Brooks and Kéllé Bryan – in an emotional segment on the daytime show on Wednesday (December 4).

Kaye, 61, opened up about losing both her mum and dad, revealing her first Christmas without her father felt like she was “sleep walking”. She told her co-stars: “I think you kind of have to reinvent it. Like similar to you, I’ve lost both my mum and my dad, and Christmas was always, always at their house. The first one after my dad died, we just kind of slept walked through it.”

“We went through the motions. We were kind of anaesthetised to the whole thing. You did it , because it felt like a big thing to ignore it, but like I say, we were sleep walking. But in the years since, you’ve just got to reinvent it. Because it was so much associated with them. For us, we just had to have a different thing,” Kaye emotionally added.

Elsewhere in Wednesday’s show, the Loose Women were joined by TV chef Gino D’Acampo, as he promoted his new cook book. However, things turned awkward as outspoken Gino made an ‘awkward’ remark about an on-screen ‘kiss rule’.

Just seconds after appearing on the panel, things took a turn as Gino went around a gave each of the presenters a kiss on the cheek. It appears as though he broke a rule as he went on to reveal: “They told me ‘please don’t kiss the ladies on the table’ but what kind of Italian would come on the show without kissing the ladies. The rules are rubbish.”

The panellists laughed off the remark as Kelly turned to Gino and joked: “Well I think you’ve just got fired.,” as the panel burst out laughing as a baffled Gino questioned: “What, for a kiss?”

#loosewomen.” Meanwhile another asked: “Do you really think they told him not to kiss them? #Loosewomen.”
