Prince Edward and wife Sophie, who celebrated her landmark 60th birthday last month, will begin a six-day visit to Nepal to celebrate the country’s close ties with the UK

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will head off on an official royal tour this week to a far-flung destiantion.

Edward and Sophie, often dubbed the royals’ ‘secret weapon,’ are set to arrive in Nepal for a six-day stay to celebrate its close ties with the UK. The couple will take in the beauty of the Himalayan nation when they travel to the village of Ghandruk, perched in the foothills with views of the Annapurna range, during their first ever trip to the country in Southern Asia.

Sophie, who celebrated her milestone 60th birthday a fortnight ago, and her husband, the King’s youngest brother, will also attend the Attestation Parade for new Gurkha recruits at the British Gurkha Camp in the lakeside city of Pokhara. It marks young Nepali service personnel formally joining the British Army, and celebrates the long tradition of collaboration between the two nations.

During their stay, the Edinburghs will also meet organisations providing healthcare services and support to survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence. Sophie is a champion of the UN’s Women, Peace and Security Agenda, and in October, during a trip to Malta, took part in a discussion with members of Malta’s police force and human rights directorate about supporting victims of human trafficking.

The couple will meet young people taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh International Award, and women’s rights activists and those campaigning for a more equal and inclusive society. Buckingham Palace said: “The visit will celebrate the close ties between the UK and Nepal, and reinforce shared interests including youth opportunity, healthcare, equality for women and girls, and conservation and biodiversity.”

Over the past year, the duke and duchess have cemented their roles as dependable figures in the slimmed-down working monarchy when The Firm was left further stretched due to the King and the Princess of Wales’s major health troubles. The King visited Nepal in 1998, as Prince of Wales, and his and Edward’s parents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh, travelled there in 1986.

The late Queen and Philip also visited Nepal in 1961, when they both rode on elephants to watch a tiger shoot arranged for them by King Mahendra of Nepal in a jungle near Kathmandu. Philip was unable to join in with the shoot because of an infected finger. King George V was pictured tiger shooting in Nepal in 1912. But the last major royal visit to the now-republic was by the Duke of Sussex.

Prince Harry made an official trip to Nepal in 2016 to mark the bicentenary of the Nepal-UK relationship – four years before he stepped down as a senior working royal. Harry travelled to regions affected by the devastating 2015 earthquake, and extended his five-day trip to help a disaster response charity rebuild an earthquake-destroyed school. Edward and Sophie’s overseas tour takes place from February 4 to February 9.

In recent months there has been much speculation over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s marriage, much to the amusment of the Duke himself.

The once-inseparable couple embarked on a so-called ‘professional split’ at the end of 2024, and have endured a difficult start to the new year following the publication of a scathing article in Vanity Fair. Now a royal insider has shared their thoughts on the Sussexes’ relationship – and revealed why they think Harry and Meghan will ultimately remain together.

Paul Burrell worked as Princess Diana’s butler from 1987 until her death in 1997. Speaking on behalf of Prime Casino, he reflected on the couple’s situation. “I personally think there are no signs of divorce because Harry would lose too much,” Paul said. “I think Meghan and Harry have a common goal to make themselves as rich as possible in as short a time as possible. I think that balance works together for the sake of their brand, their marriage. It is all the same thing. I think Meghan actually retains a fascination for lots of people.”

The former royal staffer went on to say that he believes Harry has forgotten one important rule taught to him by his late mother. “Harry and Meghan have a very privileged lifestyle. Harry has always had that and Meghan has long aspired for it. But now they share that lifestyle. I always circle back to the fact that Harry’s mother taught him long ago that the price for a privileged lifestyle is public service. Harry seems to have forgotten this lesson now he lives a celebrity Hollywood lifestyle that’s totally different from his royal one.”

Harry himself previously spoke out about the divorce rumours during an appearance at the New York Times DealBook Summit. “Apparently, we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?” he jibed.

Admitting that “it’s hard to keep up with, but that’s why you just sort of ignore it”, Harry went on to joke that he feels sorry for the trolls commenting on the state of his marriage, as their “hopes are just built and built, and it doesn’t happen”.

It comes as the couple prepare to make a public appearance together at the 2025 Invictus Games in Canada this week. Harry and Meghan’s joint outings have been few and far between in recent months; sources say this comes down to the fact Meghan wants to pursue business ideas, such as her American Riviera Orchard brand and her Netflix series, while Harry focuses on charitable work.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror: “I think Harry is happy to continue his family life in California but, hopefully, spend more of his time on his charity work into which I think he can pour his heart and soul. The commercial world is simply something he’s not used to and, let’s face it, his wife is probably better at it than he. No shame in that: he is a very wealthy man already and, in my opinion, can indeed carry out the kind of ‘universal service’ that he pointedly alluded to as he exited the official working Royal Family.

“I think it is an entirely legitimate way ahead for Meghan to concentrate on commercial activities and celebrity appearances, which she seems to very much enjoy, while Harry pursues the charitable work he is known for and where he can make such a difference. This is a modern world, after all, and it really doesn’t matter who is the chief breadwinner, as long as the family is happy and secure.”

Nevertheless, the Games in Canada come at a worrying time for the Sussexes. Two weeks into his second spell as US President, Donald Trump has been quickly setting the agenda for his presidency – and two people likely watching with concern are Harry and Meghan. Previously, Trump made a series of damning statements about the couple on the election campaign trail – even suggesting Harry could be deported from the United States.

Harry found himself in the centre of a row over his visa, which allows him to live in California. After admitting to using marijuana, cocaine and psychedelic mushrooms in his controversial memoir Spare, a lawsuit from the conservative think tank the Heritage Foundation argued that the US Government should release records about the Duke’s visa US application to show whether his drug use was disclosed.

And even though Trump has so far been busy dealing with other issues, royal expert Jennie believes it could be a worrying time for Harry and Meghan. She added: “It must be rather awkward having a President of the United States whom Meghan has openly criticised and who has the power to throw Harry out of the country if his visa application was proved to be fraudulent.

“You could say that it’s squeaky bum time for the Sussexes, but the fact is that the most powerful man in the free world probably has more to think about than the residency rights of an estranged Prince of the United Kingdom.”

Phil Mitchell’s mental health drastically declines in upcoming episodes, leading to some special scenes and a huge return. Phil was revealed to be at the centre of a loneliness storyline last month, and now it’s confirmed the character is facing depression and will experience psychosis.

Sadly the character will attempt to take his own life in upcoming scenes, and next week residents try to help him through his struggles. His brother Grant returns to Walford after Nigel reaches out to him it seems.

Before this Phil pushes everyone away and he refuses to see a doctor. He then begins to hallucinate, and in special scenes – as he struggles to decipher what is real and what isn’t – Phil is reunited with moments, and people, from his past.

As Phil disappears a search party tries to track him down. He’s at home though, and as his depression takes holds he experiences symptoms of psychosis in the form of hallucinations depicting scenes from the Mitchell family home in 1985. Viewers will see a pivotal moment from his adolescence.

As Phil’s mental state worsens, he’s eventually tracked down by Jay and Sharon soon arrives for a crisis talk. Soon enough another visitor enters the house, and Grant is back.

Elsewhere, amid the news Sonia is leaving the BBC soap after 32 years there’s danger ahead. Sonia is convinced there’s more to Bianca’s recent murder confession as Bianca remains missing.

Katie Price has had a ‘few little bits tweaked’ in Turkey, the sixth time the 46-year-old mum has made adjustments to the facelift she paid £10,000 for last year

Katie Price showed off the war wounds from her latest surgery after getting off to Turkey again.

The former glamour model flew to Istanbul last month to undergo some facial tweaks for the umpteenth time, with the star sharing updates with fans on social media. It is the sixth time she’s made adjustments to her reported £10,000 facelift.

Katie recorded herself getting glammed up for a night out, having her make-up done. It was hard to miss her bandaged nose, the results of the trip. The mum-of-five, who has reportedly undergone a staggering 17 boob jobs and six facelifts among other body modifications.

She told her followers in mid-January was she and her boyfriend JJ Slater her headed off to Turkey so she could get more work done on her face. She revealed more surgery is needed on her ears, with the idea of pinning them back described in her own words as “they stuck out a bit” and also wanting some ‘Fox Eyes’ with the help of some local anaesthetic.

In anotheer Instagram Story on January 24, Katie revealed she’s back at the clinic for a few ‘tweaks’. Speaking to fans from the clinic, she said: “From my last surgery, there are just a few little bits that I want tweaking. Well, they need tweaking. So here I am getting ready. That’s the worst bit for me, the needle. The needle’s done so now I can relax,” she said as she panned the camera down to show a cannula in her arm.

Her arrival at the clinic comes a few days after a source told Closer Magazinethat Katie was expected tofly out to Turkey to correct her ‘pixie ears’. They said: “Katie is heading to Turkey [this month] for her first New Year’s procedure: fixing her pixie ears. She thinks they need correcting after her recent facelift. She’s having her ears removed, then re-stitched in place and pinned back so that they don’t stick out.”

Addressing their concerns about Katie’s “obsession” with surgery, the source continued: “Friends think Katie has gone too far. They feel like she’s obsessed and loves the attention – and the money from the pictures – that the surgery brings in.” Katie previously discussed her love for surgery in a podcast.

Appearing on the How To Fail With Elizabeth Day last year, she candidly told host Elizabeth: “People don’t realise when you have surgery and stuff, you only see before and after, you don’t see in between – when you’ve had it, the pain and the cleaning, the stitches out and the bed rests.

“So I would love to educate people about it. It’s damaging to your body. I’ve had so many anaesthetics. I know I still choose to do it, but I’m older now.” She went on to admit choosing her next procedure is “like going shopping, for me, which is so bad”.

Bianca, 30, slowly dropped her cover-up to flash her bare bum before spinning around to give stunned press photographers the full glimpse of her naked body.

The stunt went down so badly that there were reports the couple had been ‘escorted out’ of the music awards. While concerned fans watching the live stream from home also demanded the couple be reprimanded for their actions as they branded them ‘creepy and disturbing.’

The rapper was heard giving her instructions as she posed in front of stunned photographers

A lipreader has now revealed their bizarre interaction that took place before Bianca – who kept a straight-face throughout – dropped her coat.

The pair were seen talking on the red carpet in a now viral video posted to TikTok. According to Nicola Hickling, the founder and lead analyst at LipReader, West was telling his wife to take off her coat and reveal all.

According to Hickling, Kanye gave his wife five words of praise before things took a turn. “You’re making a scene now,” Kanye tells Bianca as the photographers begin to snap their arrival. Bianca then silently nods her head.

Kanye continues to encourage her: “Make a scene, I’ll say it’ll make so much sense.” Bianca again nods her head in agreement. Then Kanye tells her: “Drop it behind you and then turn, I got you.”

“Alright let’s go,” Bianca tells him, according to the lip reading expert. Australian designer Bianca then drops her coat to reveal her naked body underneath.

According to California Penal Code 314(1), indecent exposure is defined as a person “expoising his or her naked body or genitals in front of anyone who could be annoyed or offended by it.” It also stipulates that the act must be “willful and lewd” to be considered a crime. To be found guilty, a person must “intentionally expose your genitals or naked body; expose yourself in front of someone who might be offended or annoyed by it; intend to direct attention to yourself; and intend to sexually gratify yourself or offend someone else when you do it.”

It wasn’t just the law that the pair were offending, social media was set alight with viewers’ stunned reaction to Bianca’s risqué get-up as the furore unfolded in real time on the live stream. One tweeter remarked: “Kanye and that lady should be arrested for that stunt on the red carpet…… #GRAMMYs.”

While the duo became the talk of the ceremony, they did not stick around long. Just minutes after walking the red carpet at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the two then got into their car and left.

On the ride out, Kanye took to social media to post about the stunt. “Custom Courture Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever,” Kanye captioned an image of Bianca’s dress on Instagram shortly after their Grammys appearance, adding “My best friend. My wife.”

Following their swift exit, in the small hours of Monday morning Kanye and Bianca resurfaced to attend a wild Grammys afterparty. The pair continued their racy antics as they were spotted licking and groping each other on the dancefloor.

According to body language expert Judi James, Kanye acted like his wife’s ‘bodyguard’ as he watched over her and gave orders throughout their red carpet stunt.

Looking at Bianca in particular, Judi notes: “Bianca’s body language suggested changes too, from the more confident, aloof, runway model look as she first posed in the huge fur coat, to the moment she turned to bare all to the cameras. Her eye expression in particular changed to a wider-eye look that suggested her initial bravado might have secretly evaporated.

“It became a less confident and more fearful look and her poses slipped from her usual very adept model moves to a more awkward look. Her hands went from behind her back to some less than relaxed-looking placings on her hips and she gave the impression that she was more comfortable teasing the cameras while wrapped in the huge coat. Kanye seems to view a near naked Bianca as his professional achievement, standing watching and muttering to her as she unveils as though this is his award-worthy success.”

Kanye and Bianca got together following the rapper’s split from Kim Kardashian in 2021. Bianca had previously worked as an employee of the musician.

Biance was born in Melbourne, one of three daughters born to Alexandra and Elia “Leo” Censori. Her paternal grandparents, native of Giulianova, Italy, immigrated to Australia with their five children, including Elia in 1960.

Their biggest scandal came in 2023, when the pair were investigated by police in Italy over “acts contrary to public decency.” The duo were seen cavorting in Venice – Kanye with his pants pulled down and Bianca with her head in his lap – on board a boat in broad daylight.

The scenes caused mass outrage with locals crying for the pair to be permanently banned from the historic city and to face arrest.

Nevertheless, the displays continued. Kanye marked Bianca’s 29th birthday in January 2024 by declaring it would be the year she would wear ‘no pants.’

Deal or No Deal viewers were left gobsmacked when paralegal Nay Nay took home one of the biggest wins in the ITV show’s history during Monday afternoon’s episode

Deal or No Deal fans have hailed Monday’s episode as one of the best in history after one particular contestant took home the highest prize so far.

Today’s episode saw paralegal Nay Nay take part in the ITV gameshow, hosted by Stephen Mulhern. The optimistic contestant announced at the start of the episode that she was certain that her box contained a large amount of money, saying: “What’s meant to be will be.”

Throughout the episode, Nay Nay made her way through all of the blue boxes, leaving her with just larger amounts left to be open. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” Stephen told her after being left with amounts like £20,000, £35,000 and £100,000.

Nay Nay brought her grandmother to the show, who tried to convince her to take the banker’s offers. She was offered large sums by the banker, with Stephen saying: “He’s saying this is a remarkable game. Do not get caught up in the moment – listen to your grandma and she will know the correct answer now,” Stephen said while speaking to the banker. “He’s willing to buy your box now for £51,700.”

However, Nay Nay decided to stay true to her own box and turned down the offer. Soon, she was left with just two boxes of £100,000 and £75,000 – with the banker giving her the highest offer in Deal or No Deal history on ITV. Stephen told her: “This is the highest offer we have ever had so full credit to you – £82,700,” Stephen said. “Deal or no deal?” To which Nay Nay said: “Thank you Mr. Banker, but it’s no deal.”

Left with just her own box, Nay Nay opened it to find £75,000 – the highest amount won on Deal or No Deal so far. Viewers took to social media to give their thoughts on the episode, with one writing: “Whatever happens, she will go down in history as the person to get this far with those two boxes #DealOrNoDeal.”

Another said: “What an episode!! This show needs a BAFTA after that #DealOrNoDeal.” Meanwhile, one other viewer wrote: “Well done to this young lady, she is a joy #DealorNoDeal.”

The 67th annual ceremony celebrated the best of the year’s music – but there was controversy from the get-go. Even before the ceremony began, the main talking point was locked in thanks to Bianca Censori’s revealing outfit. Kanye West’s wife made a bold statement on the red carpet. Dropping a black robe, she revealed a see-through dress in which she left little to the imagination.

Fans were fuming online at her look, which could have even landed her in trouble with the law. As Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga performed an emotional rendition of California Dreamin’ as tribute to the LA wildfire victims, fans shared their feelings online. On Twitter/X, one user said: “I’d like to thank the #GRAMMYs for bringing me to tears with all the people who lost their home in LA as if I didn’t already feel so bad for them!”

The tears didn’t stop there. As the awards paid respect to those who are no longer with us, the In Memoriam section began with a touching nod to Liam Payne. The 31-year-old died in October last year and fans were moved to tears by the moment on the big screen. Alongside music from Coldplay star Chris Martin, Liam was seen posing in front of a graffiti wall and performing onstage during One Direction’s stadium tours.

One user online sobbed: “Not me starting to bawl my eyes out when Liam pops up on the Grammys. Miss you Payno.”

With other sweet segments, including Quincy Jones being honoured with the help of his Fresh Prince of Bel Air star member Will Smith, the awards kept coming.

Despite leading the nominations with six nods-including Album of the Year for “The Tortured Poets Department” and Record of the Year for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, Taylor Swift left the ceremony empty-handed. The Album of the Year honor went to Beyoncé for “Cowboy Carter,” marking her first win in this category after four previous losses.

In a surprising twist, Taylor took to the stage to present the Best Country Album award to Beyoncé. Reflecting on her own roots in country music, she remarked: “Hi, they say you never forget where you came from and I will never forget standing here, right on this spot, almost exactly 15 years ago accepting the Grammy Award for best country album.” The two superstars then shared a heartfelt embrace.

All that was left to bring the night to a close was to announce the winner of Album of the Year. History was made as Beyonce finally took home the accolade for Cowboy Carter. However, her win wasn’t widely cheered with fans of Billie Eilish claiming the wrong person had won.

The award was presented by members of the Los Angeles County Fire Department. They were treated to a standing ovation by those in attendance as they were welcomed to the stage to present the awards.

Throughout the show, host Trevor Noah kept pleading with viewers to donate where possible to help those affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles. At one point in the show he praised those at home for raising $7million. The final total wasn’t revealed, with those in the audience also donating.

On Monday’s instalment of Loose Women, the panel confirmed when ITV viewers can expect to see Coleen Nolan back on screen.

Loose Women have announced when ITV viewers will see Coleen Nolan back on the panel. The 59-year-old hasn’t been seen on the show since her sister Linda Nolan died in mid-January.

During Monday’s show, Charlene White said: “Before we go ahead, we want to send our love to Coleen and all of her family after her sister’s service over the weekend.

“For those of you who are wondering when Col will be back, she’ll be with us again tomorrow. We love you and can’t wait to see you!”

The news earned a huge round of applause from the audience, who were thrilled that Coleen would be back on the panel soon.

Coleen’s sister Linda was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and was later given the all-clear in 2011. Sadly, a year later, she was told the disease was back as tumours were discovered in her hip bone and pelvis.

It was later revealed she had been diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer, with Linda tragically sharing in 2023 that it had moved to her brain.

On January 15, it was announced Linda had died at the age of 65, surrounded by her family. Speaking about her death the following day on Loose Women, Christine Lampard was highly emotional.

After reading a statement, she said, “We’ve been talking about Linda for so long with Coleen, and I know it was an incredibly tough time for the family, but you’re just never prepared.”

Her co-star Nadia Sawalha added: “Nothing prepares because there is a moment when the light goes out, and when the light goes out, that is the most awful shock. They’ve been through so much as a family, sending all our love.”

Members of the public were also seen lining the streets with a woman who lived locally providing refreshments to those paying their respects.

Speaking about the service on Good Morning Britain, Linda’s sister Anne said: “She’s going to be missed such a lot. She was a forceful character. She was a big, big character in our family and in lots of people’s lives. I realised that now, she was amazing.”

Charlene White has tearfully opened up about her late friend Darrell on Loose Women, revealing that she powered through with a tribute to him on the show despite straying from the show’s plan.

Charlene’s close friend Darrell passed away last week after suffering with Sarcoma cancer – a rare type of tumour that develops in bone and connective tissue.

Speaking on Loose Women, Charlene revealed that while she could hear a producer in her ear saying that she wasn’t sticking to the running order, she wanted to send a message to Darrell’s wife Amy before the ad break.

“Straight into and I know the director is going to go, ‘That’s not what we planned Charlene!’ I don’t care,” she said. “I know that Darrell’s wife is watching – I love you lots. I know that we’ll get through this together,” she said. “As a family, as friends, as everything because sometimes friend loss can feel like family loss because they are your family.”

She then revealed that while heading into the break, the show would play the speech Darrell gave when receiving the Inspiration Award at Sarcoma UK’s Shining Star Awards. “He gave an incredible speech where he talked about what is important in the world,” Charlene said. “Going into the break, have a listen to him now.”

The programme then played a clip of Darrell’s speech: “I want people to realise yes Sarcoma is a bad thing, it can be really damaging. Lots of things can be too. When you wake up, think about the people that you really love and love spending time with…It’s all about people and love.”

Speaking earlier in the programme, Charlene opened up about losing Darrell – who was diagnosed with Sarcoma on his 40th birthday. “He popped round to my house for his birthday lunch and he told me all about it,” she said. “He fought through it for four and a half years, I’m incredibly proud of him.”

Charlene speaking about her grief quickly set off her fellow Loose Women stars, with Judi Love and Kelly Brook wiping away tears as they spoke about their own experiences with the deaths of loved ones.

After speaking about the death of her dad from cancer, Kelly told Charlene: “Whenever anyone goes through it, and I’m so sorry for your loss, it makes me cry because I know what it is and I have so much empathy. It’s the worst and all you can do is be there. So know that we all know what you’re going through.

Last week, Charlene revealed on social media that her heart had “broken into a million pieces” following Darrell’s death. “There will be many of you who will aware of me talking about one of my oldest and best friends Darrell @djoptic and his mission to beat the enemy which is Sarcoma cancer,” she wrote.

“In the early hours of Saturday morning, four and a half years after he was diagnosed, after a week of saying goodbyes to those he loved, sharing stories and banter, he took his final breath surrounded by his wonderful wife @mrsamymcdonald and children Maya and Theo.”

The TV personality went on to say: “He has been my brother since we met at 16 years old, I was the best man at his wedding, and god-mother to his eldest. The nonsense our little crew would get up to was hilarious back in the day, he was there for every milestone. My heart is broken into a million pieces.”

Rumer Willis says Bruce Willis is “doing great” amid the LA wildfires and his ongoing battle with dementia.

The 36-year-old actress is the daughter of Hollywood star Bruce – who was diagnosed with Frontotemporal dementia (FTD) – a degenerative disease, which causes behavioural changes and communication difficulties – and his ex-wife Demi Moore, and revealed that the family are just trying to “rally around each other” as the disaster has been unfolding across California.

Speaking on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, she explained: “He’s doing great. I think, obviously as many people in California, the thing we’re all kind of the most scared, dealing with is just fires and wanting to make sure everything is okay. Because my family, we’re all so close, I think what’s so beautiful is the way that we rally around each other, [it’s] so lovely, because we really are a unit.”

The ‘House Bunny’ star – who has 21-month-old Louetta with former partner Derek Richard Thomas – noted that being a mother has improved her confidence and admitted that she is “grateful” for how her parents emphasised the importance of family to her even when they decided to go their separate ways when she was growing up.

She said: “I feel like I am my most grounded, intuitive, connected self. What I am thinking about when it comes to my daughter, I noticed sometimes in other decisions in my life, I can be a little anxious or indecisive or not know what to do. I find if I really listen to myself when it’s about her, I feel really grounded and quiet – and I’m able to make really definitive decisions that I feel really helped me with that confidence.

“I think the thing I’m most grateful for is that even when they split up, they created such a beautiful foundation of prioritising my sisters and I, that I never felt like I had to choose or like, they never played against each other.

“We were a family, and we still are very much a family no matter what… And not only did I feel like that has set me up in my life to have such a beautiful foundation of my own family, but now, as I’m working through co-parenting as well, I feel deep gratitude for the example they’ve set.”
