Prince Louis’ very cheeky six-word remark to Kate Middleton’s mum uncovered

William and Kate’s youngest son is a firm favourite amongst royal fans thanks to his funny antics and hilarious facial expressions. And it seems he is just as cheeky behind-the-scenes

Prince Louis likes to keep royal fans – and his parents – on their toes whenever he steps out at official events. Whether he’s pulling funny faces, dancing by himself, sticking out his tongue, or widely yawning, the six-year-old is the one to watch thanks to his cheeky but endearing antics.

And he once made a particularly bold remark to his grandmother Carole Middleton, which was overheard as the royals enjoyed a family holiday. Speaking recently on The Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential podcast, royal editor Rebecca English revealed that the little prince had once been heard making an amusing six-word remark to his grandmother as they spent time together in Mustique.

The comment was reportedly heard by a fellow holidaymaker who had witnessed Louis playing in the sea. Carole was said to be trying to get Louis to come out of the water at the time, but he refused, saying: “No, I’m not coming. You’re old.”

It is not known how old the prince was when he made the cheeky comment. But William, Kate and their children have travelled to Mustique on a number of occasions with Carole and Michael.

A former holidaymaker previously told HELLO! just how strict security is on the island. “Mustique is very exclusive and press and paparazzi can’t be within a certain distance from the island, which would explain why you only see long-lens, grainy shots of the royals,” the source said.

Day visitors can only stay on a certain part of the private island while the rest of the area is shut off to overnight guests, who have to show proof of their accommodation if asked. “As soon as you dock, there are taxi drivers who you can hire to take you around and point out celebrity hotspots,” the source revealed. “They point out A-listers’ houses – we saw Bryan Adams, Tommy Hilfiger and Mick Jagger’s homes. We went to Cotton House Hotel, Basil’s Bar and Macaroni Beach where we spotted Jade Jagger having a swim.

“We also saw Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy while we were having a drink at Basil’s Bar. We also went past the sloped runway where the private jets land. It was like something out of James Bond. It was surrounded by lots of trees – it’s almost like a secret, hidden runway.”

In July 2019, the Wales family stayed in a luxury £27,000-a-week villa on the private island, along with Kate’s parents. According to the Sun, they chose the five-bedroom luxury holiday pad, Villa Antilles – featuring a kids’ room with two bunk beds, a butler, housekeeper and private garden. It also boasts a 18-metre infinity pool , which overlooks the ocean. The home was built in 2016 and is owned by property developer Andrew Dunn – a long-time pal of Prince William.

The website for the property states: “The focus is on al fresco dining at Antilles. With a choice of indoor and outdoor dining locations and a trained chef , menus can be tailored to suit every taste and preference. Household staff live on-site in dedicated staff accommodation to provide daily service and hospitality.”

It is further described as “an exceptional new contemporary colonial style villa set in the Endeavour Hills, with a captivating outlook to Bequia and St Vincent beyond”.

  • Kate Middleton and Prince William’s very kind gesture to parents at George’s school

Kate Middleton and Prince William’s very kind gesture to parents at George’s school

Prince William and Princess Kate are ‘conscious’ of the potential ‘disruption’ that having a famous classmate can bring and they make a special gesture to help, according to an expert

Sharing a classroom with the future King is a pretty unique experience – and no-one is more conscious of that than the Waleses.

Prince William and Princess Kate are known to be very hands-on parents who often do most of the daily responsibilities that come with having a family themselves. Regulars on the school run, other parents at Lambrook School, Berkshire, where Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, are likely pretty used to seeing the Prince and Princess of Wales pop up at school events at this point.

With this in mind, a royal expert has revealed that the future King and Queen are likely aware that their presence might come with a few disruptions. Richard Palmer told the i newspaper that William and Kate are “keen not to make life difficult” for their fellow parents at Lambrook, and will even sometimes indulge in things like requests for photos, that come with their high-profile as members of the Royal Family.

However, according to the expert, sometimes the interest generated by the young royals has caused some of the other parents to veer into inappropriate territory. “At Lambrook School in Berkshire, where all three children are pupils, discreet security is in place to protect them but that does not stop the occasional rogue photographer turning up or parent publishing pictures on the internet of George playing football,” the expert said.

The Wales children have attended Lambrook School since 2022 when the family left their palatial London apartment in Kensington Palace behind and moved to Windsor. Now, the Waleses called the relatively modest property of Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Home Park their home, and the children’s school is only 20 minutes drive away from the four-bedroom property.

Before attending Lambrook, both Prince George and Princess Charlotte were both pupils at Thomas’s Battersea, a day school which now costs parents up to £10,450 per term.

Lambrook caters to pupils up to the age of 13, which means in not too long Prince George will have to move on to a new school for his secondary education and the couple have yet to announce where they have decided on.

Marlborough College – where Kate attended – has been tipped as one of the couple’s first choices for their eldest son, in part because – as one expert has previously claimed – all three of the Wales children could attend the co-educational boarding school, which would minimise security costs.

“I think Kate and William are very conscious of how much it costs the taxpayer to guard them – guard not being the exact word – but to kind of give them the security which they absolutely have to have,” explained Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine. “To have three different schools in three different parts of the country, I think would be very difficult.”

Oundle School in Northamptonshire and St. Edward’s School in Oxford have also been reported as options for George to attend – as well as William’s school of Eton College reported to be a strong contender, which would be very close to the family’s current main base of Adelaide Cottage.

  • Prince Harry’s ‘anxiousness’ around Meghan Markle exposed by one gesture, expert says

Prince Harry’s ‘anxiousness’ around Meghan Markle exposed by one gesture, expert says

Body language expert Inbaal Honigman has claimed that the Duke of Sussex’s gestures in a number of photographs reveal Meghan Markle could be proving her “dominance” in the relationship

A body language expert has suggested that Prince Harry’s habit of holding Meghan Markle’s elbow or guiding her from behind could be a sign of his anxiety when in her presence.

Inbaal Honigman observed that the Duke of Sussex often exhibits this behaviour in photographs, interpreting it as Meghan showing her “dominance” within their dynamic.

Despite acknowledging the subtlety of the gesture, Inbaal argued to Woman magazine that leading the way forces Harry to follow, saying: “It’s a very subtle dominant gesture, as it isn’t aggressive or flashy, but walking ahead is still domineering because it doesn’t leave the other person much choice; they have got to fall behind.”

The expert further noted that Harry’s actions seem to be a form of “checking in” with Meghan, which she described as a “soothing” action. However, Inbaal also mentioned an “anxious aspect” to Harry’s manner of holding Meghan, suggesting it provides reassurance for both parties.

Inbaal said the Duke’s behaviour indicates that he’s “checking in” with his wife

She elaborated on the prince’s instinctive need for comfort, stating: “The prince’s hand reaches out to hold on to his wife’s elbow even when he’s acknowledging other people. This tells us that the move isn’t a conscious decision on his part, rather an instinctive move which makes him feel safe.”

This analysis comes amidst swirling rumours of a potential split between the couple, claims which were firmly denied by Prince Harry at the 2024 New York Times DealBook Summit, reports the Express.

He also dismissed rumours that he and Meghan had separated or changed residences, saying: “Apparently we’ve bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We’ve apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it’s just like, what?”.

There were previous reports suggesting the speculation started when the pair began to take on more solo engagements, although a source explained to Hello! Magazine that solo ventures were always part of their plan.

Last month, reports suggested Meghan Markle was left dismayed over assertions in a Vanity Fair article claiming she had intended to pen a book after an imagined divorce.

The article even suggested discussions with publishers to assess interest had already taken place, yet “no offer was ever made”, while emphasising that the Royal couple are still “deeply in love”.

However, as reported by OK!, an insider close to Meghan revealed: “Meghan was devastated when she saw all of these reports about a ‘post-divorce’ book coming out.”

They said Meghan understands there’s “no truth to them” and finds it “upsetting” to be persistently surrounded by negativity, adding that she’s “sick and tired” of the separation rumours.

“Meghan knows that the rumours always make their fans worry about a split, and she doesn’t like that sort of negativity being spread,” the source revealed to OK!.

Princess Anne’s playful nickname for King Charles revealed in hilarious exchange

The Princess Royal is said to be a rock for King Charles, and the two siblings share a very close bond – so much so that Anne has a playful nickname for her brother

Princess Anne is said to be King Charles’ “greatest and most reliable confidante”. And their close bond was evident when she used a playful nickname while addressing her older brother on the day of his Coronation.

The siblings were seen enjoying a sweet moment in a 2023 documentary detailing the historic event. Charles could be seen being helped with his robes by attendants when Anne walks into the room, dressed in her full ceremonial uniform.

“Hello, old bean!” she says as she greets the new King, prompting Charles to chuckle before kissing Anne’s hand. Notably, the monarch chose Anne to be his ‘Gold Stick In-Waiting’ at his Coronation, a role that traditionally served as the monarch’s bodyguard.

Princess Anne is known for her forthright, no-nonsense nature, and is said to be the person Charles turns to for honest advice, both in his professional and personal life.

A post shared by The Royal Historian (@theroyalhistorian)

A royal aide told Woman’s Day Magazine: “Camilla might be the love of his life, but Anne’s his greatest and most reliable confidante. Anne’s the only one with the ability to tell him uncomfortable truths and pull him back from any emotional distractions.” The source added: “Tatler’s in charge of his heart, but Anne has his head and is there for him.”

The siblings are known to have grown up the closest of Queen Elizabeth II’s four children and are just 21 months apart in age. Former BBC royal correspondent Wesley Kerr previously told Prince Philip, that Princess Anne has proved that ‘she can be relied on for complete discretion and unconditional love.’

According to Kerr, Anne has a unique combination of understanding of ‘who and what has shaped Charles’ – as well as a real desire for him to succeed. Speaking at the time of the Coronation, Kerr stated: “She is the person The King has known longest…Anne is wise, intelligent, and incredibly plugged into the modern United Kingdom. She understands completely who and what has shaped him and is eager for him to succeed: for the sake of their beloved mum and dad and for country and Commonwealth.”

At the age of 74, Princess Anne remains completely committed to her royal role and has long been considered the ‘hardest-working’ member of The Firm, given the amount of engagements she undertakes each year. Just recently she was asked if she has any plans to retire – and she had a typically direct response.

“I don’t think there’s a retirement programme on this particular life,” she told the BBC while on a two-day visit to South Africa, her first international working trip of the year. “It really isn’t written in, no. It isn’t really an option, no, I don’t think so,” the Princess added of any plans to cut back on her working life.

Both Anne and Charles have impressive role models when it comes to committing to a life of duty. Their father, The late Queen retired from public engagements at age 96 in 2017 after spending decades as a working member of the royal family. Their mother Queen Elizabeth II, meanwhile, never technically retired.

The late Queen was devoted to duty until the very end of her life; her final engagement was a meeting with then-incoming Prime Minister Liz Truss on 6 September 2022, two days before her death on 8 September at the age 96.

Kate Middleton sends bold message with return of the power suit at surprise visit

Prince William’s wife is considered a global style icon – and she has made some significant changes to her wardrobe since she first came onto the scene as a working royal

The Princess of Wales cut a stylish figure as she joined a group of schoolchildren on a trip to the National Portrait Gallery today. The mother-of-three beamed as she stepped off a minibus with the excited youngsters, holding hands with one little girl as they made their way inside.

Kate looked typically chic for the engagement in black pinstripe trousers and a roll neck, teamed with a fitted black blazer. It’s a fashion formula that William’s wife has come to epitomise.

Long considered one of the world’s most stylish women in the world, Kate has undergone a significant shift in recent years. When she first started out on royal life, the Princess relied heavily on floral dresses that were fitted and flared, which she typically teamed with a pair of beige heels. But she now has a new fashion formula, and it’s boosted her style credentials even further.

The mum-of-three’s go-to outfit now typically consists of a beautiful tailored trouser suit, a T-shirt or blouse and pointed court shoes. It’s seen as an ideal choice for a modern-day Princess; polished and formal but also relaxed and understated with the addition of a more casual top.

According to a number of experts, the change in Kate’s style sends a clear message. “I think it marks a new era in her royal life,” Bethan Holt, fashion director at the Daily Telegraph told People magazine. “It shows her confidence is growing and that she’s willing to take more risks and do something that might not have come naturally to her.”

Bethan continued: “She’s transforming before our eyes. She might not be able to say to us, ‘Look, my life is now completely different, me and my husband are one step closer to the biggest job of his life,’ but she is saying that through her fashion choices.”

Her comments have been echoed by royal style expert Miranda Holder. “Princess Kate’s image has definitely taken on a more business-like feel ever since she became the Princess of Wales; her more serious wardrobe reflecting the gravitas of her heavyweight role within the Firm,” she told HELLO!. “She has literally been rebranded in line with her new level of authority as the Princess of Wales and her position as our future Queen.”

Notably, Princess Kate is not the only royal to undergo a major style shift at a pivotal time in her life — so too did her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana. “Diana had her own trouser suit moment in the late 1980s at a time when she wanted to be taken more seriously,” Holt further added. “She said to designers, ‘I’m sick of the frothy ball gowns — I want to wear menswear.’ And she had these fabulous power suit moments!”

  • Kate Middleton’s very clever rule for George, Charlotte and Louis’ clothes

Kate Middleton’s very clever rule for George, Charlotte and Louis’ clothes

During a recent engagement, Princess Kate revealed that she has a seriously sweet family habit when it comes to what she does with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’s old garbs

If there is one thing the Royal Family is always known for, it’s being very well turned out when they appear in public. Their fashion choices generate a huge amount of interest, and Princess Kate, 43, recently revealed a sweet habit she has established when it comes to her children’s old clothes.

On a recent visit to the Corgi textile factory in South Wales, Kate let slip that she actually keeps an “archive” of her three children’s clothes – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six – once they have grown out of them.

Kate has kept the pieces her children used to don that “wore really well,” she revealed during the visit to the family-run factory which specialises in socks and knitwear, adding that “It’s so lovely to reuse the things that are well made” – per People magazine.

The future Queen’s own paternal family has a background in textiles and used to own a wool manufacturer in Leeds: William Lupton and Co. The visit to Corgi wasn’t the first time that Kate spent time learning about the UK’s textile industry – she also visited Lancaster and Leeds back in 2023 to learn more about the rich history of this area.

Kate isn’t afraid of re-wearing her own high-quality pieces when she is out and about on her engagements and royal fans are always quick to spot when Princess Kate or one of her children re-wears an item of clothing. However, Kate’s commitment to sustainability goes even further, with her younger brother James, 37, revealing that she and sister Pippa, 41, both donated huge amounts of their children’s old clothes to him when he welcomed his first child: Inigo, one.

“Catherine and Pippa bring two big suitcases of hand-me-down clothes, so Inigo’s cupboards are full of sweet little outfits his cousins — even the girls — have worn,” James revealed in his memoir, Meet Ella: The Dog Who Saved My Life.

Kate isn’t the only royal who is known to repeat classic looks, with Princess Anne also regularly spotted making the most out of pieces that she has had for decades.

Coordinated looks are something the Wales family, in particular, are known for when they step out for a major royal event, and one fashion expert has even revealed just why they often opt to match what they are wearing or use similar colours as a through-line for their looks.

“By complementing each other, and sticking to a colour theme, they are showcasing a united front. It’s a technique Prince William and Princess Kate use to show [how] in tune they are when they attend official engagements together, and they also deploy it with their children,” explained fashion expert Amber Graafland to Fabulous magazine.

“Adept at using their clothing to convey coded message, the Waleses know that by presenting a refined and harmonious image they convey a close-knit family with a strong bond. It also makes them instantly recognisable on the world stage.”

Whatever the Royal Family chooses to wear – especially to high-profile events like King Charles’s coronation – becomes part of the history books, but Princess Kate is reportedly frustrated that the focus is so often on what she is wearing, rather than what she doing as she is out and about in her royal work.

A Kensington Palace source is reported as saying: “There is an absolute feeling that it is not about what the princess is wearing. She wants the focus to be on the really important issues, the people and the causes she is spotlighting. There will always be an appreciation of what the princess is wearing from some of the public and she gets that. But do we need to be officially always saying what she is wearing? No. The style is there but it’s about the substance.”

  • Prince Harry’s hidden fears for family as he continues battle over ‘huge threat’

Prince Harry’s hidden fears for family as he continues battle over ‘huge threat’

An ex royal staffer claimed it’s ‘important’ Prince Harry has the proper security because the threats against him and the Sussex family are ‘huge’

An ex royal staffer has opened up about the “huge threats” Prince Harry faces as he continues to battle for taxpayer-funded security for UK visits.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold says that there is a good reason that Harry takes security for himself and his family “very seriously” because “breaches do happen”. Grant, who worked for the royals for six years, added that the fear of potential “kidnapping plots” will be a major source of worry for the Duke of Sussex, especially when it comes to his two young children: Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Harry has won the right to appeal the High Court’s decision that the removal of his official, taxpayer-funded security was lawful, after losing his initial attempts to get it reinstated. Harry’s security used to be automatic as a working royal, but when he and Meghan stepped back from this position five years ago, this was removed.

Now, the Home Office offers him “bespoke” security, which is decided on a case-by-case basis, however, for Harry, this means that he feels unsafe bringing Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet to the UK without ensured police security.

Grant told Techopedia: “People in the armed forces and the police have individual threats due to the nature of what they do but being a member of the Royal Family is also a threat. The threat is huge, there was an assassination attempt on the then Prince Charles in 1994 in Australia which just highlights the risk.

“I think Harry is more worried about his wife and his kids and the risk of kidnapping plots, to be honest, and also the more he does in the public as a celebrity the more he could become a target. So of course, he is going to take his security more seriously and this is very important to him.”

The former royal employee noted that when Princess Kate and Prince William got engaged, she was automatically given protection – however, Harry has claimed in his memoir Spare that this wasn’t the case for Meghan, writing: “The Palace floated the idea of not giving her any security at all because I was now sixth in line to the throne”.

A former head of counter-terrorism for the Metropolitan Police – Neil Basu – said in 2022 to Channel 4 News that Meghan had been subject to “disgusting and very real” threats from the far-right, adding that “people have been prosecuted for those threats.”

In Spare, Harry claimed that the threat level against Meghan was incredibly high even before the couple’s wedding in 2018, writing that the police told them “we’d become the prized target for terrorists and extremists” and that on the wedding day itself, snipers were placed on nearby rooftops due to the “unprecedented” threat level.

The Duke also wrote that when their official security was removed and the couple was in Canada, their head of security begged his superiors not to leave the couple by themselves – with borders quickly closing across the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the couple’s location well known. Harry also claimed his head of security told him “The threat level for us…was still higher than that of nearly every other royal, equal to that assigned to the Queen.”

The Prince’s security is now an operations decision for the Metropolitan Police and it is made on a case-by-case basis, in the same way as other VIP visitors to the UK. Harry said he was singled out in the 2020 decision by the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures. But the High Court ruled in March that Ravec’s ruling was not irrational or unfair.

The Princess of Wales escorted a group of four and five-year-olds from their school in London to the National Portrait Gallery to launch a new project – joining them on their minibus and helping them with their coats and jumpers

The Princess of Wales took on a new role today as she joined an excitable group of children on a school trip – and befriended one little girl who had no idea she was the future Queen.

Today Kate joined youngsters from All Souls CE Primary School in London on a school mini bus for an outing to the National Portrait Gallery (NPGs), to launch an interactive trail at the venue. The Bobeam Tree Trail, which is based on work by her Royal Foundation for Early Childhood, was created using the Shaping Us Framework, which outlines 30 social and emotional skills that are crucial to living a healthy, happy life at all ages and which the Princess launched on February 1.

The trail is based on a magical tree with beautiful, colourful leaves, which thrives when surrounded by stories. Children were asked to help the tree by discovering the stories of people depicted in the artworks – exploring facial expressions, listening to audio recordings and using props.

One little girl, Grace, five, became firm friends with the princess, clutching her hand as they arrived after they sat together on the bus. Kate then helped to shepherd the children into a crocodile before they made their way into the Gallery.

There were gasps of excitement as they spotted The Bobeam Tree, a life-sized model made from a metal frame covered in expanding foam and resin and topped with brightly coloured leaves. The children were welcomed by guide Anna Husband, the NPG’s Head of Learning, who explained that they would be following a trail to help the tree grow.

Upstairs in the Ondaatje Wing, the Princess walked past portraits of Winston Churchill and a young King George VI to the first stop on the trail, a Mood Magnifying Mirror Box, with a two-way mirror for children to look into one side and identify their friends’ facial expressions from the other.

To help them, a portrait of the smiling actress Anna Neagle was pointed out and the youngsters were asked to identify how she might be feeling. ‘Happy!’ they shouted. They were also encouraged to imitate her pose, hands on hips, which Kate did with a smile.

Alix Ascough, executive headteacher at All Souls, said: “She [Kate] had been asked if she would have a partner, and she was sat next to Grace on the coach and Grace had chatted away to her the whole journey.” But the youngster did not know she was holding hands with the future Queen. “She knew it was a very special visitor,” added Alix. “We told her she was a princess. She just called her Catherine.”

She said of the bus journey: “The children, they’re four or five years old. They’re completely oblivious to everything that’s happening. They were just like, ‘we’ve got a posh coach with nice lights and aircon’ and Catherine was wonderful, really chatty with the children. And just felt like a really relaxed journey. She was helping out with the children, helping out with their jumpers. It was just lovely.”

She said the Princess said it had been a “wonderful opportunity” to be with the children in the gallery. “She was complimenting the children and how well-behaved they were and what good artists they were because they had the opportunity to draw pictures,” she added.

“Those experiences that we give the children are incredibly important, and days like today, where those experiences become magical, you sow those seeds for lifelong learning.”

Aimed at nursery and reception age children, the trail is completely free and runs until March 16. The NPG website is also offering related activities to do at home. The Princess, who has been patron of the NPG since 2011, also met its newly appointed Director Victoria Siddall and chief executives and expert practitioners from five other galleries across the UK.

Staff at the museums and galleries will also co-design a toolkit to help others across the UK to incorporate the framework into their offerings for younger visitors. The future Queen unveiled the Shaping Us Framework earlier this week, calling on society to “invest in humankind” and “build a more loving, empathetic and compassionate” world.

Duchess Sophie cracks cheeky joke as she kicks off first day of huge tour

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have kicked off their first-ever official visit to Nepal, with their engagements set to reflect their work including equality for women and girls as well as youth opportunity

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh arrived in Nepal on Tuesday morning for their first-ever official visit to the country.

Prince Edward arrived from India, where he had spent the past two days championing young people and the benefits of non-formal education, while Sophie flew from the UK commercially. Today, they were welcomed to the country at Rastrapati Bhawan, the Presidential Palace in Kathmandu, where they held an audience with Ram Chandra Paudel, President of Nepal and the First Lady, Sabita Paudel.

“It’s very, very nice to meet you,” Edward told the President as they greeted one another in the ornately decorated room filled with 12 sofas, large rugs and light bulbs in the colours of the Nepali flag. After posing for photographs, the two couples sat in gilded maroon and gold armchairs as they began their short bilateral meeting in the presidential office.

During the meeting, the annual report on the Brigade of Gurkhas was handed over to the President by the Colonel Commandment of the Brigade of Gurkhas. Edward clasped his hands together and bowed, saying, “Thank you so much,” as the meeting wrapped up after 45 minutes.

Before leaving, the duke and duchess signed the visitor’s book in front of an impressive canvas of Mount Everest. Turning to point to the image, Sophie said: “It’s the closest I am going to get… sadly.” The royal couple are undertaking the six-day trip to celebrate the UK’s close ties with the country.

It marks the 14th visit by a member of the British Royal Family but the first by the Duke and Duchess. Prince Harry was the last royal to visit Nepal in 2016, a year after the devastating earthquake that killed about 9,000 people and devastated towns and villages.

During the visit, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh’s engagements will reflect Edward and Sophie’s work, including youth opportunity, healthcare, equality for women and girls, and conservation and biodiversity.

They will attend the annual Attestation Parade in Pokhara where young Nepali service personnel will formally join the British Army, marking a rich and proud tradition of collaboration between the two nations. The duke and duchess will also see the work of the Gurkha Welfare Trust in offering continued support to veterans and their families.

The couple, who were praised by Reform leader Nigel Farage last week for “doing a lot of the heavy lifting” by conducting so many royal engagements at home and abroad, will conclude their trip in Ghandruk, allowing them to experience some of the natural beauty and rich heritage of Nepal.

Buckingham Palace said: “The visit will celebrate the close ties between the UK and Nepal, and reinforce shared interests including youth opportunity, healthcare, equality for women and girls, and conservation and biodiversity.” The King visited Nepal in 1998 as the Prince of Wales, and his and Edward’s parents Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the late Duke of Edinburgh, travelled there in 1986

Meghan Markle breaks silence after ‘disaster tourist’ backlash with emotional video

Meghan Markle has posted another video on her newly launched Instagram page, where she excitedly told her followers about how she was able to help a young victim of the devastating LA wildfires with the help of two famous pals

Meghan Markle has returned to social media for the first time since being branded a ‘disaster tourist’ and the scathing Vanity Fair article with a candid new video.

The Duchess of Sussex took to her Instagram page to excitedly tell her followers about a package she had just received that was going to help a teenage girl who along with her family had lost everything when the devastating Los Angeles wildfires destroyed her house. A make-up free Meghan explained how she had met the 15-year-old girl while visiting Altadena, one of the worst affected areas ravaged by the fires – and the girl was particulary upset at losing her Billie Eilish T-shirt.

And in the clip Meghan explains that with the help of her famous pals Maroon 5 lead singer Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo, she had managed to get her hands on some Billie Eilish merchandise, which she planned to send to the youngster.

The 43-year-old returned to Instagram on New Year’s Day but over the last few weeks, has not shared much on the platform. When Meghan and husband Prince Harry helped out at a food distribution centre for victims of the fires, they were brutally branded ‘disaster tourists’. Then days later, the couple also had to contend with a savage article in Vanity Fair magazine, which made claims about what it is like to work for the couple and even featured complaints from the neighbours in their town of Montecito.

However, returning to Instagram, Meghan tells her followers: “I was just told that something arrived that I had been waiting for.” The former Suits actress then begins recounting the tale of how she met a woman and her 15-year-old daughter, whose house had burned down.

Meghan said: “Her mum shared something with me and said that when they came back to see their house for the first time, which is as we were meeting them, that all that she’d been looking for in her home was the T-shirt from the Billie Eilish concert that she had just gone to that she left in the washing machine or the dryer.”

And she added: “You guys, I don’t even know what all this stuff means, but it’s signed for her.”

Ending the clip, she added: “Huge thank you, Billie Eilish. This is going to mean so much to her, and honestly to Adam Levine and Behati, you guys helped get this over the line to everyone who’s showing up for people in big and small ways to get through what’s happened in California.

Just wanted to share that with you guys.” Meghan posted the video with the caption: “Let’s keep supporting those affected by the California wildfires. Thanks to everyone who made this possible but most importantly, thank you to our first responders who are the community’s real heroes. As ever, Meghan.”

Her video comes after her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, one of the first things she prompted on her new Instagram page, was postponed due to the fires. It is set to premiere on the streaming platform on March 4.
