PRINCE Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly declined an invite to Archie’s godfather’s wedding to “avoid overshadowing the day”.

Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, will marry Olivia Henson, 31, at Chester Cathedral on June 7.

But the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not attend the wedding, the Sunday Times reported.

The 33-year-old aristocrat and businessman is godfather to Harry’s five-year-old son Prince Archie.

Their absence from the wedding is allegedly to “avoid royal tensions overshadowing the day”.

Reports emerged in December suggesting Harry and his wife Meghan were not on the guest list for the wedding.

Grosvenor was said to be concerned that the ongoing rift between Prince William and Harry could overshadow the day.

“It’s incredibly sad it has come to this,” a friend of the princes previously told the Sunday Times.

“Hugh is one of the very few close friends of William and Harry’s who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both.

“He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realises it’s unlikely to happen before the wedding.

“He wanted to avoid anything overshadowing the day, especially for Olivia, and doesn’t want any awkwardness.”

However sources close to the Sussexes claim the pair did receive a “save the date” card but thought attending would be “too awkward”.

The Sun has contacted representatives of the Sussexes for comment.

It comes after it was reported the Prince of Wales is to be an usher at the wedding of his close friend.

William will be among the groom’s party at the 400-person ceremony.

The Princess of Wales, who is undergoing treatment for cancer, is not expected to attend.

The Duke of Westminster is a godson of the King and godfather to William’s son, Prince George.

A timeline of Prince Harry and William’s ‘feud’: Brothers ‘at war’

IN 2018, the Sun told how “simmering tension

The first hints of friction reportedly came after William was introduced to Meghan when she was staying at Kensington Palace.

Once she’d returned home to Canada, William and Harry sat down for a brother-to-brother chat.

He knew Harry was already head-over-heels for her but it has been claimed he advised him to take it slowly.

The younger prince reportedly didn’t take too kindly to the advice, with one royal source saying he “went mental”.

Then in June 2019 Harry and Meghan officially split off from the charity they shared with William and Kate.

The Royal Foundation will be divided between the Sussexes and Cambridges as the couples focus on their own separate charitable endeavours.

Prince William and Prince Harry first established the Royal Foundation in 2009 before Kate joined two years later shortly after their engagement was announced.

The trio would often appear together at events and the Foundation had huge successes with projects like the Invictus Games for injured veterans and the mental health Heads Together campaign.

The Royal Foundation said the decision was made following the conclusion of a review into its structure – but added both couples will continue to work together in the future.

Harry and Meg were living in close proximity to Kate and Wills within the Kensington Palace estate, but they switched to Frogmore Cottage in Windsor before baby Archie was born.

The move further increased rumours of a fallout.

Harry, 39, also hinted in his ITV documentary “Harry and Meghan, An African Journey” that he and his brother had grown apart.

It came after Prince Philip called Meghan the “D.O.W” after the Duchess of Windsor — the American divorcee who led Edward VIII to abdicate.

And he warned the late Queen to be “cautious” of Harry’s then bride-to-be, a royal author claims.

Ingrid Seward revealed in new book My Mother And I that Prince Philip felt it was “uncanny…how much Meghan reminded him of the Duchess of Windsor”.

In 2021, Harry and Meghan give their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where Harry accused his dad of cutting him off financially.

Harry then jetted back to UK to join William in unveiling a statue to their mother Princess Diana in the grounds of Kensington Palace. But sources claimed William didn’t want to attend the memorial amid their ongoing rift.

In 2022, just before their grandmother the Queen died, sources claimed Kate acts as a “peacemaker” between the brothers.

Last year Harry claimed his brother “knocked him to the floor” during an argument about Meghan.

In his book Spare, Harry said William branded Meghan “rude” and “difficult” during a row.

Harry alleged William “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor”.

He said he was left with a visible injury to his back following the argument in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he was living at the time.

In January this year, Harry flew in to be with Charles after the monarch’s shock cancer diagnosis.

Harry flew back to the US the following day – without seeing Wills.

The couple announced their engagement at Eaton Hall in Cheshire in April last year after being together for two years.

The Duke of Westminster topped The Sunday Times 40 Under 40 Rich List this week, boasting a fortune of £10.1 billion.

He became an instant billionaire when he inherited his title and control of the historic Grosvenor Estate aged 25 following the death of his father from a heart attack in 2016.

His property company, Grosvenor Group, owns about 300 acres of land in Mayfair and Belgravia, as well as major city centre developments such as Liverpool’s ONE shopping centre, and the duke is part of the royal inner circle.

Meghan Markle to receive ‘pricey gift’ from Prince Harry for wedding anniversary – after her homemade ‘paper’ present

MEGHAN Markle could receive a very special gift from Prince Harry for their six-year wedding anniversary today.

Speaking to Fabulous, Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward said the Duke of Sussex may treat Meghan to a jewellery piece for the occasion.

She said: “I feel certain that he will buy her a little piece of jewellery.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot in a lavish royal wedding on May 19, 2018 – with couples traditionally celebrating their sixth anniversary as the “iron anniversary.”

Many couples will opt for an iron-themed gift to symbolise the durability of their relationship.

Ingrid continued: “Six years and it’s iron.

“But what could he get her that was iron, an iron pot maybe?

“I think he’s probably more likely to get her a little ring, she loves rings.

“And as he did once before, he might get her some beautiful flowers.”

For their first wedding anniversary, the Duke of Sussex gifted his wife an eternity ring to mark the occasion, but Meghan gave a handmade present instead.

In a nod to the one-year anniversary theme of “paper”, Meghan hand wrote out their wedding speech and had it framed for Harry, according to People.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could spend their celebrations in a lowkey fashion at their sprawling £12million home, according to Ingrid.

She continued: “I think that she will still want to make a big deal of it because there’s so much focus on their state of their marriage.

“I don’t think they’ll do anything in public but I would have thought in private they might make just a sort of romantic gesture to each other.

“Harry’s very, very much in love with Meghan.

“Whatever else we say about him, he loves her very much and I think he’d want to do anything to make her happy.”

Former Royal butler Grant Harrold – who worked for King Charles for seven years – also predicted the Sussexes will celebrate in private.

As reported by the Mirror, he explained: “Celebrations will probably be behind closed doors, maybe a dinner party with some friends or maybe just the two of them.

“Maybe they’ll recreate that roast chicken dinner they had on the night they got engaged at their cottage in Windsor.”

He shared how Harry was “always very romantic” and on dates would be a “true gentleman.”

MEGHAN MARKLE’S STUNNING GIVENCHY WEDDING DRESS

Meghan Markle stunned onlookers as she arrived at St George’s Chapel in Windsor, ahead of her nuptials to Prince Harry, in a stunning bespoke gown by Givenchy, created by British designer Clare Waight Keller.

The former Suits actress chose to work with Clare Waight Keller “for her timeless and elegant aesthetic, impeccable tailoring, and relaxed demeanour”.

Meghan wanted to “highlight the success of a leading British talent who has now served as the creative head of three globally influential fashion houses – Pringle of Scotland, Chloé, and now Givenchy”.

Meghan and Clare worked closely together on the design, which featured a graphic open bateau neckline that gracefully frames the shoulders and emphasises Meghan’s slender waist.

Grant also added that Meghan and Harry’s wedding anniversary could be an opportunity for an “olive branch” between them and Harry’s family.

Grant explained: “Typically, the Royal family do acknowledge wedding anniversaries, we usually see social media posts so it’ll be interesting to see if that happens this year. If they don’t, once again it goes to show the ongoing division. If it does happen, then I see that as an olive branch.”

Meghan and Harry tied the knot on May 19, 2018 in front of 600 guests at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

It’s estimated that the occasion cost £32m – covering everything from the cost of security and catering to Meghan’s stunning dress.

Watching on was a star-studded crowd of hundreds including the Clooneys, the Beckhams and Elton John – who performed at the lunchtime’s reception.

A gospel choir sang American soul singer Ben E. Kings 1960s hit Stand By Me to the couple, who had earlier been given their new titles as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

And they were later able to meet the rapturous crowds of more than 100,000 people as they were taken through Windsor in a carriage.

The Royal Wedding was not the first time Meghan has said, “I do”.

Meghan was previously married to film producer Trevor Engelson who is most famous for the 9/11 romance movie Remember Me, starring Robert Pattinson.

Harry & Meghan pay surprise visit to family of teacher killed in Uvalde school shooting to join birthday celebrations

HARRY and Meghan have surprised the family of a teacher killed in the Uvalde school shooting – providing flowers ans cakes before singing Happy Birthday.

The Sussexes visited the family of Irma Garcia, who was killed in the 2022 shooting at Robb elementary school in the Texan town.

Garcia’s family said Meghan and Harry were ‘loving and supportive’
Garcia, 48, was one of two teachers killed alongside 19 children by shooter Salvador Ramos.

Posting on Twitter, Garcia’s nephew John Martinez said: “Meghan Markle and Prince Harry came to my house!

“They’re such a beautiful couple and I’m so blessed – so glad they came to check up on the family.

“Can’t believe how loving and supportive they are especially to my amazing cousins.

“What a great experience to be a part of.

“Meghan Markle singing my mom Happy Birthday was the cutest, most adorable thing ever – she even bought her a cake.”

The Sussexes’ visit to Uvalde comes after parents were left furious by an official probe into the shooting.

Local cops waited outside the school for more than an hour during the slaughter – even though children inside had called 911 begging for help.

But a new report by city officials defended the botched police response – blaming victims’ families for holding cops up.

Some grieving families stormed out in anger while the report was presented yesterday.

Among those present was Kimberly Mata-Rubio, whose daughter was among those killed in the attack.

She said: “You said they did it in good faith. You call that good faith?

“They stood there for 77 minutes.”

Meghan Markle has long been a supporter of Uvalde victims – laying flowers at a memorial two days after the horrific shooting in 2022.

It comes after Meghan joined a star panel at a Texas arts festival to give a keynote speech for International Women’s Day on Friday.

Meghan revealed she was cyber bullied when pregnant with Archie & Lilibet while a supportive Harry watched from the front row.

The duchess also lauded Harry a “hands-on dad” and “incredible partner” during the panel discussion.

Victoria sent private messages to Mrunal Thakur and Mouni Roy after discovering a photo of them with Beckham, really?

Mrunal Thakur and Mouni Roy flew to Doha to attend the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix, a Formula One motor race, held on 21 November 2021 at the Losail International Circuit.

The Bollywood divas had no idea that they would meet English football player David Beckham.

Needless to say, Mrunal and Mouni had their fangirl moment. They captured the moment from the ‘best night ever’ in their phones and shared pictures with David on Instagram.

For the 2021 Qatar Grand Prix, Mouni wore a black asymmetrical dress. She rounded off her look with smokey eyes and straight hair.

Sharing a picture with the dapper David, Mouni wrote, “What just happened !?!?” The footballer was dressed in a formal suit.

Mrunal’s caption read, “AND THIS HAPPENED! BEST NIGHT EVER @davidbeckham @f1 @fabdoha Are you jealous?”

The actress opted for a casual look and was seen in a floral shirt and jeans.

Beckham was sc0lded by royal assistants for a hum!liating mistake at Kate and Prince William’s wedding, really?

The former England midfielder is considered a national treasure for his impressive 26 years as a footballer.

David, who now lives in the US, scored 17 goals and earned 115 caps during his international career.

The 45-year-old and his wife Victoria Beckham’s closeness to the Royal Family has been noted on many occasions.

After Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their decision to leave the Firm last year, David came out in support of the couple.

He said he was “proud” of the Duke after he stepped down and described him as an “amazing” person.

David, who refused to comment on the royal drama following their departure, maintained he and Harry only spoke “as friends”.

The football ace told Entertainment Tonight that the Queen’s grandson was the “person that every father wants to be”.

He noted the royal’s “loving” nature towards son Archie before Meghan announced she was expecting a daughter during their tell-all with Oprah Winfrey last month.

Despite the alleged feud between Harry, 36, and his brother Prince William, 38, David has maintained a close relationship with both.

Last year, he appeared alongside William for a campaign to promote talking about mental health in sport.

Their Zoom chat featured others including Aston Villa’s Tyrone Mings, Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti and England Women’s captain Steph Houghton.

During their candid discussion, David admitted he struggled to deal with the backlash after getting sent off against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.

The star claimed the public reaction was “pretty brutal” and believed it would have been harder if “social media was around”.

He said: “It would have been a whole different story, but I was lucky – I had a support system within Manchester United, the manager and obviously family.”

David told William that he didn’t feel comfortable asking for help “because it was a different era”, which inspired his push to help young players to speak out.

He added: “I just felt that I had to keep it all in and deal with it myself.”

David’s closeness with William led him and Victoria to be invited to the royal wedding on April 29, 2011.

The nuptials were watched live by 17.6 million people in the UK and more than two billion viewers worldwide.

But during the royal’s big day, David suffered an unfortunate gaffe.

The blunder was reported in OK! Magazine’s Royal Anniversary Special, which celebrates 10 years of marriage between Kate and William.

Among the 1,900 guests were Sir Elton John, the Beckhams, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Rowan Atkinson and Guy Ritchie.

Victoria, who was pregnant with Harper, now nine, was described as having looked “stunning” in her midnight blue dress.

David was equally dressed to the nines, in a dark morning suit with a grey tie.

However, in front of the billions of people watching the ceremony, the footballer made an unfortunate error.

The star proudly showed off his OBE, which he was awarded as part of the Queen’s 2003 Birthday Honours List.

But the medal was “on the wrong side of his chest” according to OK! and went unnoticed for some time.

Eventually, courtiers approached David and “put him right”.

On the day, Her Majesty wore a primrose yellow wool crepe  outfit with a hat that featured trimmed silk leaves.

OK! described the Queen bearing “a smile” that was “almost as sunny” as her dress.

On the big day, Kate wore a tightly fitted dress that “took its place in the history books and fashion archives”.

The ivory satin and lace grown, created by  Alexander McQueen’s company, was described as “the very best of British craftsmanship”.

  • What is so special about the family background of Romeo’s son’s beautiful girlfriend that David Beckham hastily asked for a wedding?

What is so special about the family background of Romeo’s son’s beautiful girlfriend that David Beckham hastily asked for a wedding?

A few days ago, Becks’ second son Romeo had a debut that was considered quite successful for the Brenford reserve team.

Former midfielder David Beckham also came to the field to cheer for his only son to continue his football career.

In addition to his famous father, the young man’s supporter in pursuing his passion is his girlfriend Mia Regan.

Mia is the same age as Romeo, born in 2002. The beauty’s father is the supervisor of the Wiltshire air ambulance charity fund.

Thanks to her impressive figure and height of up to 1.78 m, she soon became a photo model.

Mia was discovered and signed by modeling agency Storm Management at the age of 12.

Gradually, the 20-year-old beauty had opportunities to cooperate with many big brands such as The Perfume Shop, Gucci Beauty, Baum Und Pferdgarten, British Vogue, Balmain…

In October 2019, the British pink figure appeared on the fashion catwalk of the PrettyLittleThing brand, highly appreciated by experts for her appearance and charisma. In August 2020, Mia Regan became the new representative model for Victoria Beckham.

Mia’s personal page currently has more than 600,000 followers. She often shares pictures of herself and shows off her unique fashion sense on social networks. She and her boyfriend Romeo also often interact and express their affection online.

Romeo and Mia started dating in May 2019, but four months later they announced their relationship, making fans very surprised. During their relationship, the young couple were considered talented and beautiful and were not afraid to show their affection for each other. Mia is also popular with the Becks family as she often travels together and appears at her boyfriend’s family events.

After more than 3 years of passion, in July 2022, the couple broke up due to geographical distance. Romeo was then playing for Inter Miami in the US while Mia still lived in London to work as an artist. Long distance love and not being able to arrange time made the two go their separate ways in regret.

By November 2022, the British couple officially returned and continued to travel together. When they reunited, Romeo shared a photo of his girlfriend but hid her face. However, many viewers still noticed that it was Mia. Up to now, the couple does not hesitate to share their happy moments together on social networks.

Tom Cruise and David Beckham: what happened to their bezzie friendship?

When the Beckhams moved to LA, David and Tom were inseparable. Now they are occasionally seen shaking hands politely. Curious

And so to a new occasional series, Dispatches From the Showbiz Bermuda Triangle, wherein we contemplate the mysterious disappearance of various showbiz entities. This week, our subject is the Beckhams’ close friendship with Mr Tom Cruise, which has not been heard of since 2011.

Tom Cruise and David Beckham's friendship explained

Whatever happened there, pop pickers? Time was they were all inseparable. The Beckhams were among the select guests at Tom’s wedding to Katie Holmes at an Italian castle. Then, of course, there was easily the most disturbing thing Lost in Showbiz has ever seen in a football stadium – the sight of a heavily sunglassed Cruise in the stands at the Bernabéu, applauding and guffawing wildly as Real Madrid beat Mallorca to win La Liga in 2007. When the Beckhams moved to LA, Tom was forever to be found in the player’s box watching LA Galaxy and enjoying it just as much – as well someone might, if they hadn’t come for the football. As for Beckham, he later confessed to having spent “hours” on the phone to Tom trying to make up his mind over whether to join the Galaxy. He spoke to him several times a week, he added, and took his advice on pretty much anything.

Tom Cruise-David Beckham friendship explored in book about soccer star – New York Daily News

Meanwhile, Cruise’s generosity toward his new best friends was as fanatical as pretty much everything else he did: he hosted them a Welcome To LA party, while on the day Beckhams moved into their new Beverly Hills home, they found a few little presents from Tom parked in the driveway – a Cadillac Escalade, a Lincoln Navigator and a Bentley Continental.

But over the past couple of years … well, the coastguard seems to have lost contact. Cruise and the Beckhams have occasionally been seen shaking hands politely and exchanging what appear to be pleasantries if they find themselves near each other in courtside seats at the Lakers, or in the VIP section at the ice hockey. But of that much-flaunted bezziedom, almost teenage in its intensity, there is no longer the slightest sign.

It is not for us to speculate on what exactly caused the cooling – perhaps it was the showbiz version of getting on famously with a couple you met on holiday only to realise they’re horrors in real life. That said, as an etiquette completist, I’d love to know at what point in a developing froideur it becomes either mannerly to return a fleet of luxury cars, or acceptable to just trade them in for less painful vehicular reminders.

Previously unseen photographs of the late Queen Elizabeth holding Prince Edward when he was just a few months’ old, will be displayed in a new exhibition at The King’s Gallery in Buckingham Palace.

Other highlights include unreleased wartime images, the Queen Mother’s personal copy of her daughter’s Coronation portrait and the earliest surviving colour photographic print of a member of the Royal Family.

The new public display, which opens on Friday, charts the evolution of royal portrait photography from the 1920s to the present day through more than 150 items from the Royal Collection and Royal Archives.

The photographs presented in the exhibition are vintage prints – the original works produced by the photographer – and most of which are on display for the first time.

Unreleased wartime images by Cecil Beaton – who photographed the Royal Family for 60 years – will be on display for the first time, demonstrating how King George VI and Queen Elizabeth used photography to project a sense of stability and hope for the nation.

A photograph of the royal couple inspecting bomb damage at Buckingham Palace in 1940 shows them smiling comfortingly at each other amidst the debris, while a 1943 portrait taken at Royal Lodge in Windsor shows them gathered around the King’s desk with Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, conveying a reassuring sense of domesticity and calm.

Victoria embarrassed Beckham by sharing the real reason why their friendship with Meghan became distant

Looks like the Beckhams are no longer friends with the Sussexes. Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle used to be very good friends with David Beckham and his wife Victoria,

but this relationship is said to be now in the past. According to various news reports, ties between them were severed when Meghan

and Harry accused David and Victoria Beckham of leaking private information about the former royals to the media. These reports reportedly made the Beckhams “furious”.

David and Victoria have been accused by Harry and Meghan of revealing sensitive information about the Sussexes in the middle of their public battle with the rest of the royal family.

The Beckhams are said to be the British Royal family’s sympathisers and disagreed with the Sussexes’ attacks on the royal family.

At the time, Meghan and Harry gave public interviews, including one with Oprah Winfrey

and then their documentaries made several claims against the royal family for being racist and discriminatory against them.Meghan Markle might retaliate

According to a new report, Meghan Markle has now gotten more friends in the US and will soon retaliate. Reports suggest that the best way they can retaliate is by launching a campaign against them, just as they did against the royal family.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are currently living in the United States. They moved away from the UK after they gave up their royal life.

Four times ‘hypocrite’ Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s pics were photoshopped – including ‘giving Harry more HAIR’

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry’s camp were branded “hypocrites” after wading into Princess Kate’s photoshop drama despite their own blunders.

The Princess of Wales was forced to publicly apologise on Monday after she admitted to editing a sweet Mother’s Day snap of her and Prince William’s kids.

However, a source close to the Sussexes waded into the storm yesterday, telling Page Six: “If Harry and Meghan had ever encountered the same issue they would have been annihilated.

“The same rules do not apply to both couples. This isn’t a mistake that Meghan would ever make. She has a keen eye and freakish attention to detail.”

But Kate was not the first member of the royal family to be embroiled in photo controversy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have apparently forgotten that some of their most memorable photos were also edited.

These are the photographs of Meghan and Harry that have been accused of being edited:

    Tree added to pregnany announcement
    Discrepancies in their Christmas card
Harry is mocked over a People Magazine cover
Harry has a full head of hair in photos for BetterUp

Their photographer pal Misan Harriman has claimed that a picture they sent out to announce the Princess Lilibet pregnancy was not completely true.

A different backdrop including a giant willow tree was added in 2021 by Harriman, who later admitted: “It’s amazing what you can do with technology.”

Harriman confirmed in 2022 that edits were made to the couple’s official photo, said to have been taken under a huge tree in the Sussexes’ garden in Montecito, California.

He was asked on BBC Radio 3 podcast Private Passions: “They weren’t actually under a willow tree, but they were lying outside in a meadow, weren’t they, Harry and Meghan, when you took the photograph of them?”

Like Kate’s photo, the Sussexes’ black and white snap was shared around the world with no indication it had been digitally altered.

The pair have also come under suspicion over other alleged edits, including a Christmas card put on a “kill list” by a photo agency.

They had been called out for editing their own image back in 2019, when royal fans spotted odd discrepancies in their Christmas card.

It was claimed the snap – of Harry, Meghan and baby son Archie – was edited to make the Duchess’s face look clearer.

Experts also suggested her appearance may have been copied from another photo, with Harry and Meghan’s bodies seemingly out of focus.

Meanwhile, Harry was apparently afforded more hair in others.

Last year Harry appeared with a full head of thick, darker hair in portraits for coaching platform BetterUp, where he serves as “Chief Impact Officer”.

Agency photos taken just days later from a conference in Tokyo showed significant bald patches.

Harry’s headshot has since been changed on the US firm’s website.

And the Duke was also mocked over a People Magazine cover to promote gripe-ridden autobiography Spare last year.

The Duke’s sun-kissed skin, vivid eyes, and longer locks left many readers wondering if it had been touched up.

One posted: “Great work in the graphics department. He totally looks like a man who’s not bald in the middle.”

Meanwhile, the pair’s Time Magazine cover in 2021 was branded by one critic as “the most airbrushed photo I have ever seen”.

Another joked: “How nice they gave Haz lots of new hair. Maybe he is a hair-growth influencer.”

    KATE’S HEALTH BATTLE

The row comes amid hurtful speculation about Kate’s health.

Kate, 42, spent two weeks at Marylebone’s London Clinic after undergoing a “planned abdominal surgery” before being discharged on January 29.

Kensington Palace announced she would step back from all official duties while she recovered in the Wales family’s Windsor home, and last week insisted she was “doing well”.

But she has not been seen at any royal events since Christmas Day, with her absence leading to speculation about her health and whereabouts.

    WHY WERE ‘KILL NOTICES’ ISSUED?

News agencies ordered a “kill notice” on the picture late Sunday night.

The removal orders were sent after “manipulation” on the image was discovered.

AP’s order said the reason for killing the story was: “At closer inspection it appears that the source has manipulated the image.”

The order then directs those who have used the photo to remove it from all platforms, including social.

Agence France-Press ordered the “mandatory kill” due to an “editorial issue” and directed that the image may no longer be used.

Reuters said the photo “has been withdrawn following a post publication review.”

Getty Images said: “For editorial reasons, please remove the following image(s) from your system and do not use in any manner.”

Getty said its picture desk “identified a problematic image” provided by the palace and removed it from its site “in accordance with our editorial policy.”

PA said: “Like other news agencies, PA Media issued the handout image provided by Kensington Palace of the Princess of Wales and her children in good faith yesterday.

“We became aware of concerns about the image and we carried a report about it last night, and made clear that we were seeking urgent clarification about the image from Kensington Palace.

“In the absence of that clarification, we are killing the image from our picture service.”

Each of the news agencies have their own editorial guidelines which govern how they treat images.

AP says that pictures “must always tell the truth” and that it does not alter or manipulate the content of a photograph in any way.

Its guidelines say: “The content of a photograph must not be altered in PhotoShop or by any other means. No element should be digitally added to or subtracted from any photograph.”

However, AP says minor adjustments are allowed, they include cropping, colour adjustments, and light adjustments.

If Kate recuperates according to schedule then her first engagement back could be at the family service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.

However, sources have claimed her commitment to her royal duties could see her get back into work as soon as she can.

Following her operation in January 2024, a statement from Kensington Palace said: “Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter.”

Meanwhile, Kate’s hubby Prince William is to attend the 25th anniversary of the Diana Legacy Awards at London’s Science Museum today.
