David Beckham’s $1 billion leg@l b@ttle has come to an end, will the money be returned as rumored?

On May 8, The Sun reported that DB Ventures, the company that manages David Beckham ‘s transactions , has launched two lawsuits in the US.

The new legal battle targets counterfeiters who sell  clothing, watches, perfume, sunglasses, video games, toys, soccer balls and sports equipment through marketplaces.

Electronics Amazon, eBay Etsy, Temu and Walmart.

There are a total of 492 defendants in the two lawsuits, mainly from Asia.

DB Ventures with the support of brand management company Authentic Brands Group (USA) wants compensation of 2 million VND from each defendant.

“Authentic Brands wants to stamp out this problem and stop people from selling fake David products.

They pride themselves on the quality of their products and people are being ripped off without even knowing it. They thought they got a bargain,” the source told The Sun.

According to court records obtained by The Sun , the sellers maliciously tricked people into thinking they were buying genuine items from the David Beckham brand.

David Beckham’s representative has not responded to information about the billion-dollar lawsuit.

However, this is not the first time the former famous player has shown fierceness in the fight against counterfeit goods .

In April, the legal team representing Beckham won a £240 million (nearly $300 million) lawsuit in the same US court against dozens of counterfeiters.

The judge in that case ordered a temporary detention and asset freeze against the defendants.

With that, counterfeiters were asked to stop selling and confiscate any profits they had accumulated.

“Their sales activities pose a real threat to DB Ventures’ brand, while also affecting the sustainability of their business. It also adversely impacts individuals and organizations who unwittingly purchase them,” the lawsuit said.

Papers filed with the court also highlighted how poor sales eroded the brand’s reputation, causing the company to lose revenue and incur significant losses.

David Beckham attracted attention with his move to support coach Erik ten Hag under pressure of being fired

MU’s poor performance recently increased the pressure on coach Erik ten Hag. The Dutch captain is at risk of being fired. Man Utd fans are also losing patience with Ten Hag.

Besides, there are still many opinions expressing sympathy for the Dutch coach.

David Beckham recently spoke out in support of the current coach of Man Utd on the launch day of the documentary “99” – a film about MU’s historic treble in the 1998/1999 season.

TalkSPORT channel quoted Beckham’s statement: “We all know that Erik ten Hag is a coach who has proven his ability. He is capable and has the right way of playing.

But to be fair, at the time I was playing, MU was led by coach Alex Ferguson and supporting him were assistants like Eric Harrison and Jim Ryan.

Those are the people who motivate MU players to compete. I think it was luck for the Man Utd team when I was playing.

To be honest, you always wish the coach wouldn’t have to do too much work on a team. As a MU player, every position must play with high determination and motivation.

Any professional player must play with the highest determination no matter who the opponent is. Otherwise, that player chose the wrong team or the wrong sport.”

Also according to information from talkSPORT, Erik ten Hag will still lead MU, at least until the FA Cup final with Man City at the end of May.

Speaking to Grazia, Lucie Greene shared: “Certainly, they can’t monetise their drama any more.

“I think that has reached the end of the road.”

    Royal attacks

This follows Prince Harry releasing his bombshell Spare memoir, where he claimed William ‘attacked’ him in a row over Meghan Markle and said Charles pleaded with Harry and William not to ‘make his final years a misery’.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also spilled details about the royal family in their Harry & Meghan Netflix documentary.

To the shock of many it told stories of Meghan’s “jarring” first meeting with Princess Kate and Harry making digs at his father.

One insider told The Sun that the couple have reached the end of the road with bashing the royals, and said: “That period of their life is over — as there is nothing left to say.”

    Meg’s new venture

Meghan announced she is launching American Riviera Orchard last month, and teased it on Instagram.

A promotional video was released showing Meghan baking, plucking flowers and in a spectacular black dress.

And now several close pals have shared photos of their pre-launch baskets of branded jam surrounded by lemons, including fashion designer Tracy Robbins.

It is said the A-list area of California where Meghan and Harry live, Montecito, is known as the “American Riviera”, and is thought to be the inspiration behind the name.

According to a report from Page Six, Meghan’s company will focus on home, garden, food, and general lifestyle content.

The brand will reportedly sell home goods, such as cookbooks, food and kitchenware.Certainly, they can’t monetise their drama any more

A trademark application for ‘American Riviera Orchard’ showed Meghan could sell cutlery, decanters, legume-based spreads and even napkin rings.

This follows Meghan, 42, closing her former lifestyle page, The Tig, in April 2017, shortly after she started dating Prince Harry.

The lifestyle page shared her travel, food, and fashion recommendations while she worked in the hit legal TV show Suits.

Lucie added: “She’s always modelled herself as a lifestyle curator.

“Some people seem to already want to hate this brand, but actually, I think it’s a very smart move for her.”

In addition to her American Riviera Orchard, we shared how the Duchess of Sussex is set to launch a new series on “cooking, gardening and friendship”.

What is Meghan Markle’s new business?

Meghan Markle has launched a new Instagram brand called American Riviera Orchard.

Industry insiders said the site will focus on home, food, garden and lifestyle goods.

A source told the Mail: “It’s a lifestyle and cooking brand called American Riviera Orchard.

“The brand is meant to coincide with the launch of a new cookery show for Netflix.

“Meghan will be making, and selling, products such as jams. And at some point there will be a book and blog etc.”

The first series will focus on Meghan and explore “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship”, according to Deadline.

The second series will follow the couple’s love of professional polo.

Primarily shot at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, the project will be produced by Boardwalk Pictures.

Palace staff ‘bent over backwards’ for Meghan Markle but she squandered it all, blasts royal expert

PALACE staff ”bent over backwards” for the Duchess of Sussex, but she squandered it all, an expert has claimed.

When Meghan Markle, 42, first started dating Prince Harry in 2016 , everyone was desperate to make it work, according to Simon Vigar, the royal correspondent for Channel 5 and ITN.

According to expert Simon Vigar, people in the Palace were 'helping', 'bent over backwards' for the Duchess

Vigar, one of the longest-serving correspondents on British TV, told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show that during her journey, ”people within the Palaces were helping” and they ”bent over backwards” for the duchess.

”The idea that people never wanted it to work – I find it completely bizarre.”

At the beginning, the overall atmosphere was ”supportive”, as everyone within and around the family wanted to see Prince Harry ”happy”.

”We knew that he was seriously worried that he would never find someone after the previous relationships which had ended,” added Simon, who’s been in the industry for 16 years working for Channel 5.

According to the expert, the issue wasn’t finding a girlfriend who ”didn’t like Harry” – it was finding a partner ”who would put up” with everything that came with dating a Prince.

    ”I think people were delighted.”

The media coverage, too, Simon said was ”very positive”, with the odd ”weird” headline here and there – which is a stark contrast to what the Royal duo have since made it out to be, he pointed out.

”Covering events, her first walkabouts in the winter of 2018 before the wedding – you could see that the demographic had changed.

”That the people who had turned out to see Harry and Meghan – there was a clear transformation […], which was great.

    ”It was reflecting modern Britain.”

Prince William returns to public engagements for the first time since the Princess of Wales revealed she was being treated for cancer
All of that, however, has since been brutally ”squandered”, with Meghan and Harry stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020.

    ”It’s a great shame.”

Why did Meghan Markle and Prince Harry step down as senior royals?

In a statement made on the Sussexes’ Instagram account, the couple wrote: “After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.

“It is with your encouragement, particularly over the last few years, that we feel prepared to make this adjustment.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages.

“This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.

“We look forward to sharing the full details of this exciting next step in due course, as we continue to collaborate with Her Majesty The Queen, The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge and all relevant parties.

”Until then, please accept our deepest thanks for your continued support.”

  • Does Harry and Meghan’s son Archie have a royal title?

Does Harry and Meghan’s son Archie have a royal title?

IT can be confusing which members of the royal family are entitles to titles are who are not.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex had a say in their son Archie’s royal title.

    What is Archie’s official title?

When Archie was born in 2019, it was reported that Meghan and Harry chose not to use a courtesy title for their new boy.

Instead, he was simply known as Master Archie after his parents decided not to give him one of the Duke of Sussex’s lesser titles, the Earl of Dumbarton.

This signalled the couple wanted their child to be a “private citizen” and not have an official royal title.

However, the Duchess of Sussex revealed to Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 that she was upset over a lack of title for Archie.

Archie Mountbatten-Windsor will receive a new royal title in the future

She alleged that Buckingham Palace actively tried to alter the rules so that when Charles becomes king, that Archie isn’t made a prince.

However, after the passing of Queen Elizabeth on September 8, 2022, her son Charles succeeded the throne and became the new reigning monarch of the country – meaning Archie would be granted a new royal title.

His Majesty agreed to issue letters patent to confer Archie will receive the title of prince in the future, alongside his sister Lilibet who will receive the title of princess.

However,  Meghan and Harry’s baby boy will not be called His Royal Highness – thanks to his great-great-grandparent.

King George V introduced a rule in 1917 which means their baby would need special permission from the King to receive HRH status.

Only the eldest son of the Queen’s first born, King  Charles, is entitled to be a HRH – no younger sons or daughters.

But this decision reportedly left Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ”furious” and concerned over security issues.

A source said: “Harry and Meghan were worried about the security issue and being prince and princess brings them the right to have certain levels of royal security.

“There have been a lot of talks over the past week.

“They have been insistent that Archie and Lilibet are prince and princess.

“They have been relentless since the Queen died.

“But they have been left furious that Archie and Lilibet cannot take the title HRH.

“That is the agreement — they can be prince and princess but not HRH because they are not working royals.”

Becoming a prince or princess does not automatically mean royals have police protection.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s security – for example – is no longer paid for by the taxpayer.

The Sussexes are said to have pointed out that princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have HRH status but they are not working royals.

A spokesman for the King declined to comment.

Harry and Meghan agreed not to use their His and Her Royal Highness titles when they moved to the United States,  two and a half years ago.

Despite Royal protocol, in December 2012, before Prince William and Kate Middleton had their first born Prince George, the Queen used the Letters Patent so she could give all of their children an HRH title.

This is because George is in line for the throne, and the Queen had to intervene to also give the title to Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

The Letters Patent is a method that allows the sovereign to give orders without involving Parliament.

Archie is seventh in line to the throne, behind his dad.

He will remain ahead of any other children Harry and Meghan have in the future, again regardless of gender.

Their son is the Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.

     Archie was born in 2019
    3

    Archie was born in 2019

    When was Archie born?

Meghan gave birth to a healthy boy, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, at 5.26am on May 6, 2019.

Meghan and Harry beamed as they introduced their “amazing” baby boy to the world.

The new parents appeared tired but ecstatic as they cradled their infant, with giddy bearded dad Harry joking his son “already has facial hair”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s low-key announcement at Windsor Castle was in stark contrast to Kate Middleton and Prince William’s post-birth experiences, which saw hundreds of photographers snapping pictures of their three children hours after they were born.

And the Sussexes kept Archie swaddled in a white blanket and hat as they described their little boy.

New mum Meghan, then aged 37, stunned in a white dress as she stood by grinning new dad Prince Harry, then aged 34, who cradled their little boy.

She gushed over her little boy, saying: “It’s magic.

“It’s pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”

And she said that the infant already had the “sweetest temperament” – adding “he’s the dream”.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released their baby son’s birth certificate, showing that Meghan was listed as a “princess”.

Archie’s birth was registered on Friday, May 17, 2019, revealing the couple had their baby at London’s Portland Hospital, a private hospital favoured by celebrities wanting a money-no-object birthing experience.

Phil Dampier claims the monarch will not only be thinking about his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, but also his grandson Archie, who celebrates his fifth birthday today.

The royal expert told Fabulous: “It’s a bittersweet day for the King when he marks the anniversary of his Coronation as it’s also Archie’s birthday.

“I’m sure it breaks Charles’s heart that his grandchildren Archie and Lilibet are growing up on the West Coast with American accents and yet he hardly knows them.

“Harry and Meghan may arrange occasional zoom calls but it’s not the same as seeing them in person.”

Phil added that King Charles is a “doting grandad” to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, five, but added: “I’m sure he’d love to have the same relationship with his other two.

    “It’s a very difficult situation.

“Charles probably compensates for not seeing them by showering love on George, Charlotte and Louis, but obviously it would be better for all concerned if the rifts were healed and some kind of normal family relations resumed.”

    Harry’s UK return

The royal author pointed out that Prince Harry will be in the UK for the Invictus Games tenth anniversary this week – as he attends a Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral on Wednesday May 8.

Phil claimed: “No-one knows if Harry is going to see his father but it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t.

“It would surely be an opportunity for Meghan to also bring the children so they could see him, but I doubt it will happen.
Charles will never let Harry back as part-time royal – but reconciliation with William will be even tougher, says expert
“The King has only met Lilibet – who was named after his mother the late Queen – once, and Archie just two or three times.

“Of course we must not forget Meghan’s father Thomas Markle, who has never met  either of them, or even his son in law Harry.”

King Charles has officially returned to public royal duties, 11 weeks after announcing he has cancer.

When asked about his health battle and recovery, His Majesty understandably said it was a “bit of a shock” to be given his cancer diagnosis.

Phil pointed out that Charles may not be able to see Harry if his health isn’t up to it.

He claimed: “The King is still restricting the people he sees close up because of his condition and of course last time they met it only lasted less than half an hour.

“People who have been travelling on long-haul flights often pick up bugs so the medical advice might be that they don’t meet.”

As well as any heartache over Prince Harry and grandson Prince Archie, Phil said the Coronation anniversary will be poignant, with Charles thinking about his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

He added: “I’m sure the King will be thinking of his mother on the day.

“At each major step of his reign he will tend to think what she would have done and learn from her wisdom, even though she is no longer with us.

“It doesn’t mean he will always do exactly the same thing, and he will have his own style, but he will always remember her ways because why not learn from the most successful monarch we have ever had?

    When was King Charles’ coronation?

KING Charles was crowned in a historic ceremony watched by millions on May 6, 2023.

Formal celebrations began with a procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey.

His Majesty’s coronation in Westminster Abbey was 70 years after his mother the Queen was crowned.

There was then a procession of the newly-crowned King and Queen back to Buckingham Palace, which took around 30 minutes.

Following this, they received a salute from the United Kingdom and Commonwealth Armed Forces in the Buckingham Palace Gardens.

The royal family later appeared on the infamous Buckingham Palace balcony for the flypast.

“As always, Camilla will be there to bolster him up and calm him down when required.

“She has been a magnificent support in recent months and I’m sure he would be the first to say he would have struggled to cope without her.”

The Coronation service took place on May 6, 2023, and was watched by millions worldwide.

Charles, who promised to pledge his life to his country in a solemn oath alongside Queen Camilla, has over the years expressed a desire to bring the Royal Family into the modern age.

But despite living across the pond, King Charles is thought to have sent his grandson a card and small present, according to royal expert Tom Quinn.

“There has even been talk that he will send one of his own watercolour paintings to Archie as a present as Meghan loves homemade gifts and dislikes extravagant expensive presents,” he said, speaking to The Mirror.

“But King Charles and his team are desperately worried that whatever the King sends to his grandson may be misinterpreted by Harry and Meghan.”

Tom went on to recall the occasion Charles famously gifted Prince George a hand-made swing which has the young royal’s name engraved on the seat.

Despite noting how King Charles “dislikes new technology,” the royal author claims he’s eager to remain in touch with his grandchildren who live in Montecito, California, so he may well have called Prince Harry to wish Archie a Happy Birthday.

Meghan Markle’s popularity is in the gutter – her monetisation of royals was last straw, warns expert after damning poll
Tom claims that Charles has been asking about video calling, but according to his aides, he’s not very comfortable with the idea.

“If he makes an ordinary telephone call to Harry it means he can have a quick word with Archie without the need to talk to Meghan, a prospect that fills him with dread,” he continues.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, royal commentator Ingrid Seward revealed the likely way Archie, who was born at the Portland Hospital in London, could’ve marked his fifth birthday.

King Charles and his team are desperately worried that whatever the King sends to his grandson may be misinterpreted by Harry and Meghan

“As Archie has no cousins in California, he will invite his school friends – possibly the entire class. And the cool locals with kids and the Hollywood set,” she claimed.

“The party will be themed possibly Superhero which is popular with that age group.

“The food will be all gluten-free or possibly a choice, and there will be a themed birthday cake.”

She went on to say how Archie’s birthday cake could’ve been made by Meghan.

It comes after sources close to the family revealed she baked her son a lemon cake using fruit from their garden for his fourth birthday last year, the Express reported.

“The party will be themed possibly Superhero which is popular with that age group.

“The food will be all gluten-free or possibly a choice, and there will be a themed birthday cake.”

Archie’s birthday cake could very well be made by Meghan.

For his fourth birthday last year, according to sources close to the family, she chose to bake her son a lemon cake using fruit from their garden, the Express reported.

She added: “Games will be arranged with an entertainer or a group of entertainers – everyone young in LA that isn’t an actor is a party entertainer!

“They might arrange for a themed adventure around the garden or something like a woodland theme with cowboys and Indians or a superhero theme.

“They might bring in exotic animals and make an upmarket petting zoo for the kids. Llamas. Miniature ponies etc – talking parrots or tame monkey.”

The expert suggested: “There will be a complete ban on all plastics and a request for no plastic presents. The glasses and plates will be bamboo or something similar.

“Kids of five love dancing so most likely will have a disco.
Harry and Meghan are beset by problems, everyone is bored of their relentless moaning about the way they’ve been treated
“There will be party bags for the kids and champagne (or wine) and beer for the parents possibly an after barbeque for the close friends.”

Ingrid went on to add: “These parties cost a fortune. Even parents with ordinary incomes spend a lot.

“It can cost £30 a head in the UK just for the entertainers!

King Charles with give him a toy from Hamleys and Queen Camilla will have chosen it.

“Not like the old days of Smarty Arty and pass the parcel which it was like when Harry was five.

“The girls will probably wear their party frocks and favourite outfits for the boys. It is more casual than here obviously, but kids like dressing up.

“They might be given what are called bee bombs which are like little hand grenades and when you throw them they hit the ground and flower seeds fly out.”

As for possible presents, Ingrid opined: “As I said no plastic…Fancy wooden toys, books.

“Maybe a five-year-old size jeep or tractor but could not be plastic – have to be made of metal or wood. Very expensive as it would have to be custom made.

“I am sure some of the LA parents will try and outdo each other on presents.

“But not the royals. They are pretty parsimonious as far as presents go.

“It’s hard to find nonplastic presents for small children so it is anyone guess.

“The Harrods toy department hardly exists anymore so it will be something from Hamleys for King Charles to give him I would imagine. Queen Camilla will have chosen it.

“Also the godparents will be giving presents and sending from the UK.”

Meghan & Harry should take Archie & Lilibet to meet cancer-stricken Charles – it would give him huge boost, says expert

KING Charles would get a real “boost” if Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children went to visit him, it has been claimed.

Chris Ship, ITV’s Royal Editor, has told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive Show, how it would be “quite something” if the family reunited.

Chris told The Sun’s Royal Editor Matt Wilkinson: “The relationship is very difficult within that family.

“I think yes, it would be a lot easier if Meghan weren’t there.

“But she is still the King’s daughter-in-law, and they have two children which are the King’s grandchildren.

“You would hope they would all see each other.

“Wouldn’t it be nice if they did bring the kids and they all went to see Grandad because that would really give him the boost?

“Just imagine if Harry and Meghan came over with the children and he got to see them, or one of them, for the very first time – that would be quite something.”

It has been confirmed that Prince Harry won’t meet his father King Charles during his whistle-stop UK trip this week.

A spokesperson for Harry, 39,  announced the news, saying: “It unfortunately will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme.

“The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”

Prince Harry arrived in London today ahead of a special event marking 10 years of the Invictus Games, which is taking place at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Meghan Markle, 42, will not be in attendance, but there is a possibility she might be flying in and out of the UK ahead of the couple’s Nigeria trip at the end of the week.

In an interview recorded before today’s news announcement, Chris said: “He’s [Harry] not here for a long period of time, he’s only here for a couple of days before going to Nigeria – where incidentally, Meghan is going to Nigeria, we’ve been told.

“But she’s not at the St. Paul’s Cathedral service?

“What I haven’t been able to work out yet, and it might come out in due course, is whether Meghan’s going to be in the UK at all.

“I’d imagine she could fly via London to get to Nigeria.”

This is yet to be confirmed by the Sussex’s team, with Chris saying: “So they’re telling us ‘No, she’s not going to be at St. Paul’s Cathedral, but they’re not saying anything to us when we ask ‘Is she going to be in the UK at all?’”

Why isn’t Meghan attending the Invictus Ceremony with Harry?

Meghan has attended several other Invictus Games events over the last year alongside Harry so it’s unusual as to why she isn’t going to this one.

Chris referenced the last time Meghan and Harry visited St. Paul’s Cathedral was for the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Service in June 2022.

He said: “They got booed,” to which Matt confirmed: “Yes, they did.”

“Going back there, I can see why Meghan may not wish to accompany Harry to that event.”

Royal title Meghan Markle and Prince Harry ‘refused to use’ for Archie after it ‘bothered them’

FROM the moment he was born, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have done everything to protect their young son, Archie.

But few know the lengths Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went to prevent the young royal from being teased, reportedly rejecting a rather specific royal title.

Archie’s cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will hold senior titles in the future, such as the Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal and possibly the Duke of York or Duke of Cambridge.

However, this is not true for several of the late Queen’s great-grandchildren, including Archie and his sister Lilibet.

Despite initially being styled as Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor, in March 2023, Harry and Meghan revealed they didn’t want to deny their children their “birthright”.

Archie soon became known as Prince Archie of Sussex, but he could’ve ended up with a different title.

Harry and Meghan were given the titles “Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” “Earl and Countess of Dumbarton,” and “Baron and Baroness Kilkeel” by the late Queen when they tied the knot at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on 19 May 2018.

As Archie is in the royal line of succession, he was given the option of being named “Earl of Dumbarton” – a subsidiary of his dad’s official title.

However, the royals reportedly turned it down through worry that it could result in bullying because it contained the word “dumb.”

“They didn’t like the idea of Archie being called the Earl of Dumbarton because it began with the word ‘dumb’ [and] they were worried about how that might look,” a source told The Telegraph.

A second source added that it wasn’t just Meghan that was concerned and that it “also bothered Harry.”

Due to rules set out in the 1917 Letters Patent by King George V, Archie and Lilibet are both allowed to use princely titles as they’re the grandchildren of The King.

Archie, who has lived stateside since 2020, following Harry and Meghan’s decision to step back from royal duties, recently celebrated his fifth birthday.

According to royal expert Tom Quinn, King Charles could well have sent his grandson a card and small present to mark the occasion.
