Victoria Beckham slammed by fans after daughter Harper wears ‘inappropriate’ outfit to fashion show

Harper Seven, the youngest child of David and Victoria Beckham, posed alongside model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week debut.

Victoria Beckham was slammed by fans after her daughter Harper wore a dress many deemed ‘inappropriate’ for her age.

Harper Seven, the youngest child of David and Victoria Beckham, posed alongside model sisters Gigi and Bella Hadid at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week debut. The 11-year-old arrived alongside her ex-footballer dad, and brothers Romeo and Cruz, and Cruz’s girlfriend Tanya Holding.

Following the show, Victoria shared a sweet clip of Harper on her Instagram story, in which she stood next to brothers Romeo and Cruz. The youngster gave a sweet message to her, saying: “Hi mummy, congratulations, I hope you have the best day,” before blowing a kiss to the  camera.

Sharing the clip, Victoria added the caption: “Good luck kisses from #HarperSeven before the show [pink heart emoji] xx VB”

The former popstar shared a snap of her daughter alongside supermodels Bella and Gigi in her custom VB design, but not all fans thought the  outfit was appropriate. She captioned the snap: ” #HarperSeven loving her time backstage with @GigiHadid and @BellaHadid #VBSS23 ”

One fan wrote: “I’m really surprised that at this girl’s age they are already dressing her that way, but anyway it’s just my personal opinion.” While another said: “I was shocked to see Harper in this dress tbh and thought it inappropriate for her age, normally dressed like young girls should but a clear miss today imo.”

“A sweet girl dressed in an adult sexualised way,” wrote a third while a fourth added: “What’s with the child’s dress #parentinggonebad ”

A fifth agreed: “I love your design so much , but Harper in that dress is so inappropriate . Let her be a girl of her age and in power her.” Meanwhile a sixth wrote: “That dress poor Harper has been made to wear is far too old for her. Whatever was @victoriabeckham thinking show her young daughters chest. Shame on you #victoriabeckham ”

Putting her face to her hands several times, the Spice Girl then ran over to hug 47-year-old David, before blowing a kiss to Brooklyn, 23, who was sat on the front row next to wife Nicola, 27. On her way back, the designer embraced her best pal, Desperate Housewives actress, Eva Longoria.

  • The secret to keeping the fire of the Hollywood couple happy: David and Victoria Beckham

The secret to keeping the fire of the Hollywood couple happy: David and Victoria Beckham

Through thick and thin. David and Victoria Beckham are one of Hollywood’s longest standing couples for good reason: These two have been through the ringer together.

From raising four children — sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and daughter Harper — to navigating their spotlight-filled careers, which sometimes intertwine (you may recall the pair’s eye-popping Emporio Armani ad in 2009), they rely on each other to get through whatever adventures life throws their way.

They also rely on each other to overcome struggles, including the never-ending gossip mill that seems to revolve around their love life: Allegations of infidelity and rumors of divorce have plagued the twosome throughout the course of their marriage, but the English duo remains united.

“People have been making things up about our relationship for 20 years,” Posh Spice told British Vogue for her October cover story in September 2018. “We both realize that we are stronger together than we are as individuals.”

David spilled a similar sentiment to the BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in January 2017.

“We’re a strong family unit,” he said on the show. “We’ve got strong parents. We were brought up with the right values. Of course you make mistakes over the years, and we all know marriage is difficult at times. It’s about working through it. We know each other better than anybody. People have talked about, ‘Do we stay together because it’s a brand?’ Of course not. We stay together because we love each other, because we have four amazing children.”

Scroll through to relive all of the power couple’s highs — and lows! — since they first laid eyes on each other in the Manchester United players’ lounge way back in 1997!

    1997

The lovebirds first crossed paths in early 1997 while attending a charity football match at the Manchester United players’ lounge. The former Spice Girl described their meet-cute in a letter she wrote to herself for British Vogue in September 2016. “Love at first sight does exist,” she wrote. “It will happen to you in the Manchester United players’ lounge – although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy. While the other football players stand at the bar drinking with their mates, you will see David standing aside with his family. (He’s not even in the first team at this stage – you are the famous one.) And he has such a cute smile. You, too, are close to your family, and you will think how similar he feels to you. He’s going to ask for your number. (He still has the London-to-Manchester plane ticket on which you wrote it.)”

    1998

The singer was all smiles one year later while announcing her engagement to the soccer star at a press conference. “It’s lovely, it’s a surprise, as well,” she said of her engagement ring.

    1998

The twosome had more exciting news to share in 1998: They were expecting their first child! However, Victoria’s bandmate Mel B revealed that Posh “had a really tough time” with her pregnancy during the group’s Spice World tour that year. “She was running off the stage to go vomit,’ Scary Spice said during an appearance on The Meredith Viera Show in September 2014.

    1999

It’s a boy! David and Victoria welcomed their first son, Brooklyn, on March 4, 1999.

    1999

Posh and Becks tied the knot just three months later on the 4th of July at Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin. The fashion designer walked down the aisle in a strapless Vera Wang gown with a 20-foot train and an 18K-gold tiara, while her husband and son wore all-white tuxes.

    2002

The Learning to Fly author and the athlete announced that they were expanding their family in February 2002. “This year has been such an exciting year for us — England are in the World Cup finals, Victoria’s had a second top 10 hit and now we are expecting a new baby,” they said in a joint statement at the time.

    2002

Six months later, a second son was born to the couple via C-Section: Romeo James Beckham. “He looks like Brooklyn,” proud dad David told reporters outside Portland Hospital in London. “He’s got Brooklyn’s nose and Victoria’s chin.”

    2003

The family began a new adventure when David was transferred from his Manchester United team to Real Madrid, with the group moving to Spain to be centrally located.

    2003

The twosome were subject to rumors of infidelity in Spain after David was photographed leaving a Madrid nightclub with a mystery woman. Though she was later revealed to be his assistant, Rebecca Loos, Loos’ brother John Charles reportedly told the Daily Mail in 2004 that the buzz was true. “She has confirmed to me she had an affair with David,” Charles claimed. David, meanwhile, dismissed the allegations as false. “During the past few months I have become accustomed to reading more and more ludicrous stories about my private life,” he said in a statement. “The simple truth is that I am very happily married. I have a wonderful wife and two very special kids. There is nothing any third party can do to change these facts.”

    2004

Having survived the infidelity scandal, the pair continued to grow their family: The Spice World star announced in late August that she was pregnant for a third time.

    2005

The couple’s little one made his grand entrance into the world on February 21, 2005. “We’ve got a baby boy. His name is Cruz,” David shared with reporters outside a Madrid hospital, according to Reuters. “He is beautiful. He is in there with his brothers now and he is very happy.”

    2007

Big changes were on the horizon for the Beckhams once more in 2007: David joined the L.A. Galaxy team, resulting in a relocation to sunny California.

    2009

David and Victoria had tongues wagging in 2009, when they appeared together in a super sexy ad for Emporio Armani that showed them lying together in minimal clothing.

    2009

For the duo’s 10th wedding anniversary, the soccer stud got sentimental. “I had 10 roses [tattooed] around my arms…for the 10 years,” he revealed in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres.

    2011

By early 2011, a fourth baby was on the way for Posh Spice and her husband. “David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer,” a spokeswoman for the musician said in a statement.

    2011

A pregnant Victoria ventured across the pond with David in April 2011 for Prince William and Duchess Kate’s royal wedding. They were dressed impeccably for the occasion, with the businesswoman in a navy frock from her eponymous fashion line and a matching fascinator from Philip Treacy, and David opting for a dark Ralph Lauren suit.

    2011

And then there were six! The pair welcomed their first baby girl, Harper Seven Beckham, shortly after their 12th wedding anniversary. “Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family,” family rep, Jo Milloy, told Us Weekly at the time.

    2013

The London native announced his retirement from soccer after 21 years in May 2013. Shortly after, the pop star and the sportsman embraced their roots, heading back across the pond to London, where Victoria’s fashion company was based.

    2013

David showcased his love for his wife through ink once more in September 2013, when he showed up to The Global Fund at Apsley House in London with her name tattooed in cursive across his right hand.

    2015

The duo enjoyed a date night out on the town for a Haig Club London dinner of David’s in March 2015. “Great to have my beautiful wife in attendance,” he later wrote on Facebook.

    2016

Just three years’ shy of their 20th wedding anniversary, the Vogue cover girl gushed about her spouse on Instagram. “I feel so loved and truly blessed,” she captioned a picture from their wedding day. “My best friend, my love. The kindest man who inspires me every day. Happy Anniversary to the best husband and daddy in the world!! EVER! #HappilyEverAfter”

David was equally as complimentary, sharing a similar photo along with the caption, “Wow 17 years ago to this day this happened… I was lucky to meet someone who has the same drive and wanted the same things in life… We have created 4 beautiful children and I couldn’t wish for a more loving and caring mummy for them… Happy anniversary, I love u.”

    2017

The professional soccer star shared that he and Victoria had renewed their vows while speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs in January 2017. “It was a lot more private with only six people there in our house.”

    2017

During a March 2017 appearance on the Today show, Victoria praised her longtime love, calling him her “soulmate.” “I’m very lucky that David is the most fantastic father and husband, and he’s great and we’re very equal at home and we’re a very, very good team,” she said. “We complement each other. He’s the most incredible husband, fantastic father. He inspires me every day, just seeing him with the children and how he treats me; it just works. We are lucky to have each other.”

    2018

The stylish twosome attended their second royal wedding in May 2018, when Prince Harry wed Duchess Meghan in a romantic ceremony at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. “It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding. “It was just the best day,” Victoria, who wore another dark blue Victoria Beckham dress, told the Evening Standard at the time. “They looked so happy and everybody was just so happy for them.”

    2018

Divorce rumors began to plague the lovebirds in 2018, but they quickly shot down the chatter. “There is no impending statement, has been no statement and there is no divorce,” Victoria’s rep told Us. “What nonsense. Fake news fueled by social media. Embarrassing for the sloppy outlets who have chosen to write such rubbish.”

    2018

David got real about marriage in October 2018, telling the Daily Mirror that he has to work at his relationship with the entrepreneur. “To have been married for the amount of time that we have, it’s always hard work,” he said. “It becomes a little more complicated.”

    2019

Victoria admits that after all these years, sometimes she drives her husband a bit crazy. “My room is a dump. I realize I’m too close to Blue Jasmine, and I feel very uncomfortable about that,” Victoria joked, referencing the 2013 film in which Cate Blanchett plays a fallen socialite. “You can see why I drive my husband crazy, because he is super, super tidy.”

    2019

The duo celebrated Victoria’s 45th birthday on Wednesday, April 17, surrounded by family and loved ones. “The most beautiful day with my favorite people in the world xxx,” The Spice Girl captioned a photo on Instagram. “I Love u so so so much xxx kisses from a very loved mummy and wife x.”

A clip from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding has recently resurfaced and shows the royals’ candid reactions at the ceremony.

The footage, posted to X (previously Twitter), showed senior attendees including Kate Middleton, Queen Camilla – then the Duchess of Cornwall – and the late Queen Elizabeth II. Seated in Windsor Castle’s St Georges Chapel for the May 2018 ceremony, some members of the Firm appeared to have strong reactions to some of the goings-on.

The montage was captioned: “All the best Royal Family reactions at the #Harkles wedding. Best part of the day,” followed by a laughing emoji and hashtags. Royal fans found the clip hilarious, with one writing: “I’m sorry but Zara takes the prize! Her look is priceless.”

Another agreed: “Honestly, if one of them had snort laughed the whole lot of them would have lost it.”

Meanwhile a third added: “You know I live for Zara, her reaction was the best. You can literally read what she is thinking. I love Mike Tindall because he’d be the one to get a pint with.”

Meanwhile another agreed: “Such a classic video, and the reactions are over the top subtle!”

Within two years of their historic wedding, Meghan and Harry stepped down from royal duties and relocated across the pond to the US. They then embarked on a number of media ventures with tech titans such as Netflix and Spotify, although the deal with the latter ended prematurely.

The couple received critical acclaim for their Netflix series Harry and Meghan, which aired in December 2022, while Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, hit the shelves in January 2023.

Meghan has recently unveiled her latest venture, a lifestyle brand named American Riviera Orchard (ARO), with strawberry jam being one of its anticipated products. However, details about other offerings and their release dates remain smystery.

Both the ARO website and Instagram pages are currently sparse on information, with the site merely offering visitors the chance to join a ‘waitlist’ by submitting their email address.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary with a dinner alongside Hollywood power couple Brian and Tracy Robins at their favourite steakhouse in Montecito.

This outing with the prominent pair marks another notable moment in the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s evolving social and professional circles.

The anniversary celebration was a low-key affair at the Montecito steakhouse, where Harry and Meghan are frequently seen.

Brian Robins, a Paramount executive, and his wife Tracy, who received one of the jam jars from Meghan’s new brand, joined them for the evening.

The couples previously attended the Bob Marley premiere together.

But royal expert Kinsey Schofield pointed out how the couple has had issues keeping friends, as she claimed they “burn through”.

Speaking on an episode of Heirs and Spares, she said: “I like to see that they are maintaining that relationship because they burn through friends. Like I’ve seen some people burn through a pack of cigarettes.”

Royal commentator Rupert Bell replied: “Yes, and I think it is interesting. They can see clearly that there’s mileage to be seen with this particular power couple.”

As the couple navigates their post-royal life, Meghan is reportedly planning a significant career move.

Sources indicate she is set to embark on a “Summer of Love” PR campaign aimed at softening her public image.

This initiative could include appearances on popular US talk shows such as Drew Barrymore and Kelly Clarkson and potentially late-night programs with comedians who have been sympathetic to Prince Harry.

Meghan’s goal is said to be to win over the American audience by presenting a more relatable and approachable side.

This PR blitz comes as the couple continues to balance their royal connections with their new commercial endeavours.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially left the Royal Family as working members in 2020, after stating they wanted a more independent and private life.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle set for major Palace invite despite royal feud

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to receive a major olive branch, but concerns over their security may prove a sticking point.

    meghan and harry

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could still be set to receive a major Palace invite this summer – despite the ongoing royal feud.

Traditionally each August, the Royal Family enjoy getting together at Balmoral as they take a break away from royal commitments and duties.

The late Queen Elizabeth II is known to have enjoyed this cherished time with her loved ones, something that is enjoyed equally now by King Charles III.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert Ingrid Seward said that she believes there is “no doubt” that this invite will also be extended to Harry, Meghan and their two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, who will celebrate her third birthday next month.

She told the publication: “Harry and Meghan’s security fears could well be a stumbling block to any kind of reunion with the royal family. But no doubt they have been invited to Balmoral this summer.

“As the late Queen discovered, Scotland offers the only quality time a Monarch has to devote to family.

“It would be very sad if Charles was denied the pleasure of seeing his grandchildren just because of Harry’s unfounded security woes.”

Speaking of the King’s relationship with his youngest son, Ms Seward said that the monarch is “wary” of Harry but but he won’t completely cut ties.

Discussing Harry’s recent visit to the UK, Ms Seward added: “When Prince Harry turned down his father’s offer to stay at a royal residence during his three-day trip to London in May, it was a surprise to the royal household The King was aware Harry had no UK base.

“He could not fail to be aware Harry was unduly anxious about security. But he was not aware that Harry would issue a statement saying his father was too busy to meet him. It was hurtful and even if true if they had been under the same roof a meeting might have been arranged.”

Prince Harry was fantastic before Meghan Markle, he had no filter, was great fun and authentic, claims royal expert

PRINCE Harry was “fantastic” before Meghan Markle and had “no filter” and was “great fun”, according to a royal expert.

Veteran royal correspondent Valentine Low spoke to The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show about Harry in his early days.

Valentine told The Sun’s Matt Wilkinson: “He [Harry] was fantastic to report on.

“One of the things about Harry is he has no filter. You always saw authentic Harry which was fantastic and he was also unpredictable.”

Valentine added that one of his favourite memories of Prince Harry was on an overseas trip abroad in 2012.

He shared: “One of my favourite days of royal reporting was in Jamaica in the tour in 2012 when Harry was on a race track with Usain Bolt and basically cheated and beat in the 50 yard dash.

“It was a fantastic, I think unscripted moment, certainly took Usain Bolt by surprise.

“Harry was also incredibly authentic and he’d take you to places that you wouldn’t normally go on a royal tour.

“In Brazil we basically went to this area called Cracolandia – which was inhabited by drug addicts and dealers – and Harry wanted to go there to shine a light on what these charities were doing to help these people.

“There was a lot of debate behind the scenes when they were drawing up the itinerary for the visit, but Harry wanted to go there.”

Valentine added that Harry has been “amazing in some ways” and that his team have often been driven by Harry’s “energy, vision and enthusiasm.”

Prince Harry started dating former Suits actress Meghan in 2016, and they later tied the knot at St George’s Chapel in 2018.

However, in 2020 the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the bombshell announcement that they were stepping back from royal duties.

They have now relocated to California, and live there with their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.

Since stepping back from royal duties, Harry’s strained relationship with his family has been unveiled through his bombshell Spare memoir, and tell-all interviews with the likes of Oprah Winfrey.

In the controversial biography, Harry claimed Kate Middleton made Meghan cry, “grimaced” when Meghan asked to borrow her lip gloss, and had a furious bust-up over comments about her hormones.

Royal expert Jennie Bond now claims Prince William wouldn’t accept his brother back in the royal fold, as the trust has been broken.

She told The Times Radio: “The bricks that have been thrown, the insults, the allegations, the accusations, the hurt, the pain, the rift is too deep now between William and Harry, I think.

“I personally think William has more or less blotted Harry out of his mind, out of life, and is focused on his role, his family and what he has to do.

“And I think he regards Harry as a nonperson, really, in his life, which is terribly sad.”

Jennie said she doesn’t think there would be a chance of Prince Harry undertaking royal investitures in the UK and then flying back to his family and celebrity life in LA.

Prince Harry’s tense visits to Britain since Megxit

Relations between Charles and Harry were previously feared by some to be fractured beyond repair amid the fallout over their royal row.

Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Sun in December: “Charles and Harry’s relationship was at an all-time low before but this may have fractured it beyond all repair.

“It could spell the end game for them.”

Hopes of a reconciliation had been raised after Harry called Charles to wish him a happy 75th birthday last month and sent a video of the King’s US-based grandkids Archie, now four, and Lilibet, two.

And now, Harry will jet to the UK to be with his dad following the King’s shock cancer diagnosis.

Here’s a look inside their fractured relationship since Megxit.

January 2020 – Harry and Meghan make their ‘Megxit’ flight, leaving for Canada, eventually setting up home in California, USA.

March 2021 – Harry and Meghan give their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey where Harry accused his dad of cutting him off financially.

July 2021 Harry jets back to UK to join William in unveiling a statue to their mother Princess Diana in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

But sources claimed William didn’t want to attend the memorial amid their ongoing rift.

Pals said at the time: “William was still furious. He had taken the view that he’d only give so much. He just didn’t want to go there [with Harry].”

September 2022 – Harry jets to the UK for Prince Philip’s funeral. Meghan Markle, who was heavily pregnant at the time, was unable to attend due to doctor’s orders not to fly.

A pal of Harry’s tells Omid Scobie Harry met the Queen privately ‘at least twice’ and spoke with Charles and William after the Westminster Abbey service.

Kate acts as a “peacemaker” between William and Harry as they share a private chat.

September 2022 – The duke claimed he found out Queen Elizabeth had died in an online news alert.

He jetted to Balmoral without Meghan, and claimed in Spare that she was told she should not attend by Charles.

Harry travelled on a separate flight to his brother William – who travelled with the rest of the family.

The duke wrote in his memoir: “When the plane started to descend I saw that my phone lit up. It was a message from Meg: ‘Call me when you get this.’ I looked at the BBC website. My grandmother had died. My father was King.”

Harry and Meghan were sat behind Charles at the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey.

March 2023 – Harry is told King Charles is “too busy” to see him while he’s in the UK for a privacy hearing, according to reports.

The Duke had jetted to the UK to attend a four-day preliminary hearing at the High Court in London regarding his battle with publisher Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) over allegations of unlawful information gathering.

It was the first time the Prince was back on home soil since the Queen’s funeral.

Harry flew back to the US once the hearing was over.

April 2023 – Harry has a “heart-to-heart” talk with his dad before agreeing to come to the Coronation in London

The Duke travelled alone to attend the ceremony on May 6.

Harry headed straight back to the US following the coronation in Westminster Abbey.

He did not appear to speak to his brother William or sister-in-law Kate Middleton at the ceremony – taking a backseat and sitting in the third row at the ceremony.

September 2023 – Prince Harry visits the UK for the annual WellChild Awards, a charity of which he has been patron for 15 years.

But the Duke is not thought to have met his father, as the King had “no time” in his diary to see his son, MailOnline reported.

January 2024 – Harry flies to be with Charles after the monarch’s shock cancer diagnosis.

The two have their first meeting for more than 16 months at Clarence House, lasting 45 minutes.

Harry does not meet William and flies back to the US the following day.

She continued: “How would William feel? William, steadfast William, who has loyally stood by his father, who has stepped up to the plate when necessary.

“William would feel profoundly hurt, aggrieved. So that’s not going to happen.

“There’s an element of not letting the little brother have his cake and eat it, isn’t there?

“I think that he sort of shut that door and that’s a kind of coping mechanism of sorts.”

Jennie – who worked as BBC’s royal correspondent between 1989 and 2003, said she didn’t see the rift between the two brothers happening.

She added: “No, absolutely didn’t see this coming. And yes, we thought they were very, very supportive and protective of one another.”

It comes as Kate is recovering from her planned abdominal surgery on January 16.

Kate spent 13 days recovering at the private London Clinic – and is now being taken care of by William at home.

Meanwhile Prince Harry last week flew thousands of miles from his California home to be at the King’s side following his cancer shock.

Prince Harry’s letters reveal he warned officials he was ‘at greater risk’ than Diana due to ‘racism and extremism’

PRINCE Harry warned officials who pulled his family’s UK security that he believed they were “at a greater risk” than Princess Diana.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, claimed that the “racism and extremism” nowadays – compared to when his mum died – made him more concerned for his loved ones’ safety than ever before.

Harry also outlined his “biggest threat” and asked who would be held “accountable” if something did happen to him, Meghan, Archie or Lilibet while they visited the UK.

The prince argued this after the Home Office refused to spend taxpayers’ money on bodyguards when he left the Royal Family in 2020.

Harry moaned he was being treated “less favourably” than others in The Firm, but today lost his bid for security.

A Judge ruled that the decision to pull the Sussexes protection amid Megxit was “justified” – with the prince quickly saying he planned to appeal the judgment.

The Sussexes were stripped of their round-the-clock protection in 2020.

It happened after the pair announced they were quitting as senior royals – and would “step back” from their duties.

Two years later, in 2022, it was announced that the Sussexes were taking legal action over the call.

Harry moaned he was unable to return with his family home “because it is too dangerous”.

He was allowed protection when he stayed at royal residences or attended royal events but had to fend for himself if he wanted to see friends.

It was this morning ruled those conditions were fair, and would continue.

However, the findings also laid out some of the prince’s fears for his family after they lost their protection.

Harry outlined what he believed his “biggest threat” was – but it was redacted from the findings.

He also asked who would be willing to put his family in a position of “extreme vulnerability and risk”.

The prince continued: “[It was] a position that no one was willing to put my mother in 23 years ago – and yet today, with greater risk, as mentioned above, with the additional layers of racism and extremism, someone is comfortable taking accountability for what could happen.

“I would like that person’s name who is willing to take accountability for this choice please.”

Harry also asked if anyone had thought about “the consequences” of the decision to cut his security.

    MEGXIT TERMS

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced on January 8, 2020, they would be stepping down as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family.

On January 18 it was announced that the Sussexes would “no longer be working members of Britain’s Royal Family”, and would not use their “Royal Highness” titles.

A Palace spokeswoman said the couple would no longer receive public money and that they would repay the £2.4million cost of refurbishing their cottage — Frogmore — in Windsor, Berks.

The following day, Harry said in a heartfelt speech: “Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the Commonwealth, and my military associations without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible.”

The Duke of Sussex said he had found the “love and happiness I had hoped for all my life” with Meghan.

He said: “Prove to me that someone has actually thought about the consequences without being punitive, which is how most of the decisions have been made in the last couple of months.”

Harry added: “The obvious difference aside from that is the fact that I was born into this and the threat will never decrease because of my status regarding the family.”

The High Court heard last year how Harry had brought a case against the Home Office and the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (Ravec).

The prince’s lawyers argued he was “singled out” and treated “less favourably” in the decision.

Despite his pleas, the judge ruled against him.

The findings of December’s hearing published today read: “The court has found that there has not been any unlawfulness in reaching the decision of 28 February 2020.

HARRY BREAKS SILENCE ON LOST BID

“Any departure from policy was justified. The decision was not irrational.

“The decision was not marred by procedural unfairness. Even if such
procedural unfairness occurred, the court would in any event be prevented from granting the claimant relief.

“This is because, leaving aside any such unlawfulness, it is highly likely that the outcome for the claimant would not have been substantially
    different.”

It added: “The court has also found that there has been no unlawfulness on the part of RAVEC in respect of its arrangements for certain of the claimant’s visits to Great Britain, following the decision of 28 February 2020.”

Today a legal spokesman added: “The duke is not asking for preferential treatment, but for a fair and lawful application of Ravec’s own rules, ensuring that he receives the same consideration as others in accordance with Ravec’s own written policy.

“In February 2020, Ravec failed to apply its written policy to the Duke of Sussex and excluded him from a particular risk analysis. The duke’s case is that the so-called ‘bespoke process’ that applies to him, is no substitute for that risk analysis.

“The Duke of Sussex hopes he will obtain justice from the Court of Appeal, and makes no further comment while the case is ongoing.”

Harry had told the High Court that there was “no possibility” of keeping his children safe on UK soil following the security downgrade.

The Sun’s royal photographer Arthur Edwards said that Harry was stopping Charles from seeing Archie and Lilibet.

Speaking on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Arthur said: “Listen, he’s not only denying the King seeing his grandchildren.

“He’s denying Archie and Lilibet from seeing their cousins George, Charlotte and Louis.

“They’re first cousins, and he doesn’t know them. I don’t think Harry makes the final decision on that.

“I suspect he’s probably in discussions with Meghan. I don’t think she’s ever going to come here again.

“If she does, I don’t know when that’s likely. Certainly, those children are grandchildren of the King.

Arthur added: “They’ve got royal titles now. One’s a prince, the other’s a princess.

“They should be more respectful. Certainly, Harry should bring them to see the King whenever he can.”

Harry has vowed to appeal after the Home Office refused to spend taxpayers’ money on his bodyguards post-Megxit.

A judge ruled there had not been any “unlawfulness” in the call to pull Harry’s security.

Retired High Court Judge Sir Peter Lane added the decision had been “justified”, and was not “irrational” – as it had been dubbed.

But the Duke of Sussex has vowed to appeal the judgement and claimed he is “not asking for preferential treatment”.

The Sussexes were stripped of their round-the-clock protection when they stepped back from royal duties in 2020.

Inside Prince Harry’s fury as UK security team was pulled after Megxit

PRINCE Harry went to officials with many concerns amid his battle to get security while in the UK.

Today’s findings have laid out some of them – including how Diana was treated, who’s taking responsibility for his family and how he believed threat levels were raised because of ‘racism’.

Harry asked who would be willing to put him and his family in a position of extreme vulnerability and risk – “a position that no one was willing to put my mother in 23 years ago – and yet today, with greater risk, as
mentioned above, with the additional layers of racism and extremism, someone is comfortable taking accountability for what could happen. I would like that person’s name who is willing to take accountability for this choice please …”.

The prince also asked if anyone had thought about “the consequences” of the decision to cut his security.

He said: “Prove to me that someone has actually thought about the consequences without being punitive, which is how most of the decisions have been made in the last couple of months.”

Harry outlined:  “The obvious difference aside from that is the fact that I was born into this and the threat will never decrease because of my status regarding the Family”.

Arthur said: “So far, he comes alone and he goes quickly. He’s no longer a member of the Royal Family.

“He’s made it his intention that he doesn’t want to be. I don’t know how long that’s going on for.

“I don’t know how much more he can badmouth the royals. After all, he’s not allowed in any of their conversations.

“He said in an interview with ABC in Whistler that he wasn’t going to reveal what’s wrong with his father.

“I thought, well, it’s the first time he’s been discreet about that.

“Maybe he’s changed his tune – maybe his father’s warned him ‘This will be the last time I speak to you’.

“If it’s that, I don’t know, but the conversation didn’t last long. Half an hour, twenty minutes.

“Then the King was off to Sandringham. Harry could have got on the helicopter with him and spent the weekend with the King.

“But he was keen to get back. Whatever it was, it seemed to be more important than spending time with his family here.”

    Archie and Lilibet’s titles

HARRY and Meghan have reportedly changed Archie and Lilibet’s names as they move to “unify

The children had been known as Archie and Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor.

But the children have reportedly been known as Archie and Lilibet Sussex since the King’s coronation.

Archie and Lilibet will both go by the last name Sussex in a “proud moment” for the family which represents their “unification”, sources said.

Last year it was revealed Meghan and Harry intended to use prince and princess for both kids in formal settings as Charles was now King, calling it the kids’ “birthright”.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes said: “The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became monarch.

“This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace.”

Key reason Prince William was ‘envious’ of Harry when they were kids, claims Princess Diana’s former royal bodyguard

PRINCE William was “envious” of Prince Harry growing up due to him being “so popular”, according to a royal expert.

Former royal bodyguard Ken Wharfe spoke on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show about working with the now-feuding royal brothers when they were children.

The former Met cop looked after the young royal family from 1986 until 1993 before Princess Diana’s tragic death four years later.

Ken shared that despite the brothers’ recent fallouts over Megxit, Harry’s bombshell Spare claims and his tell-all Oprah Winfrey chat, the boys were close as kids.

He claimed: “It was a very happy union. It was a very happy family.

“What I will say is Diana and her husband [the then-Prince Charles] at that time were going through a very difficult period of their life.

“But both of them didn’t want their situation to be known by the children.

“They had a blissful happy life at that point.”

Ken added that Prince William was slightly jealous of Prince Harry’s fun-loving personality.

He continued: “Harry was always the joker, the entertainer.

“But he was the entertainer, you could almost say he was the court jester at that time.

“So in that sense I think William found it slightly different, but they were funny.

“What I liked about Diana, what I liked about the Prince himself, is the way they educated their children.

“Albeit in rather extreme privileged circumstances, they had a very good upbringing in that sense.

“Diana was very careful and insisted they had a normal life.”

I suppose it would be quite common for the sort of sibling rivalry that was, for the eldest William to be slightly nervous or envious of Harry because he was so popular

    Ken WharfeFormer Royal Bodyguard

Ken shared how he thinks the tension between William and Harry’s relationship came as adults.

He revealed: “I think this breakup of sibling relationship, I think this all began around the time of Harry’s marriage to Meghan, much later in life.

“Until that point, certainly up until the point of their mother’s death, they were very much at one.

“They entertained each other, they were very much involved with each other’s friends.

“Right through that early part of life, Harry was always the most popular.”

Your Prince Harry and Meghan Markle questions answered

The royal rift between the brothers was evident last month when Prince Harry jetted to the UK to see King Charles, following his cancer diagnosis.

Harry took a ten-and-a-half hour flight from his Montecito mansion in California to meet with his father in a 30 minute reunion, but didn’t visit William.

Years of attacks by Harry on Oprah, Netflix and in Spare — including branding Wills his “arch-nemesis” — are said to have cut William deep.

It was reported that Prince of Wales “remains focused” on looking after wife Kate, currently recovering from abdominal surgery.

Dad-of-three Wills is helping out as Kate takes extended leave from public duties until after Easter.

The Prince of Wales, 41, who is now carrying the weight of the royals on his shoulders as his father and wife are both ill, has never chosen to hit back.

Meghan and Harry’s popularity is in the gutter… they must build bridges with royals – not burn them, warn experts

WITH King Charles and Princess Kate forced to step back from duties in recent weeks, the Royal Family is looking short of numbers.

Now, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been told a “golden opportunity” to prove their worth is staring them in the face – if they can cut out the jibes.

Having recently hired a UK-based PR guru to fix their “popularity problem”, Harry is said to be open to returning to royal duty to ease the burden on his father while he undergoes cancer treatment.

Meghan, meanwhile, is reportedly preparing for a ‘relaunch’ in Britain to boost publicity for their foundation, Archewell, and spearhead a new project.

Industry experts tell The Sun that with Kate also recovering from abdominal surgery, the Sussexes must seize the chance to use their “Hollywood” power to back the embattled Royal Family and carve out a path towards reconciliation.

However, after today’s jibe over Kate’s photo-editing saga, they warn Harry, 39, and Meghan, 42, need to reign in their “keyboard warrior” pals – or risk torpedoing their rebrand altogether.

As one royal expert warned: “Their popularity has sunk almost below ground, and that’s where it will stay.”

The royals looked thin in numbers at the Commonwealth Day service yesterday, as Prince William and Queen Camilla appeared in place of the monarch, who appeared via video message.

Overshadowing the event was a bizarre internet storm surrounding the Princess of Wales, who released a statement admitting she had manipulated a Mother’s Day photo of herself alongside her three children.

Today, the royals were further hit after members of Harry and Meghan’ team insisted the Sussexes would “never make the same mistake” – despite being called out in the past over discrepancies in their Christmas card.

The remark – which followed catty jibes from Meghan’s ‘cheerleader’ Omid Scobie on social media – will do little to repair the their fractious relationship with the Palace and Harry’s family.

However, it may also raise eyebrows with their newly recruited UK-based PR expert, who will join ahead of the launch of a “new commercial venture that the Duchess has been working on for many months”, according to the Telegraph.

PR boss Jack Izzard, CEO of Rhizome Media, tells The Sun: “We’ll probably never know whether Harry and Meghan got a twinge of pleasure from Kate’s blushes.

“But what they should definitely get out of the Kensington Palace cock-up is a PR opportunity.

“A supportive word here, a gentle nod towards the importance of Kate’s privacy there – this is a chance to offer a subtle olive branch to the Cambridges.

“And done right, it can be totally in tune with one of the Sussexes’ favourite themes – a call for the conspiracy theorists and keyboard warriors to lay off.”

    Slimmed down royals

Since ascending to the throne last year, the King has pushed on with his plans to ‘slim down’ the number of working royals.

But with both Charles, 75, and Princess Kate, 42, out of action, commentators have pointed out an occassional shortage on the ground since the Queen’s death.

Brand and culture expert Nick Ede told us: “There was a big Royal Family-shaped hole in the Commonwealth service this week.

“Without the star power of the King and the Princess of Wales, it was obvious that, for the first time in many, many years, the service didn’t make headline news – rather, an allegedly doctored photograph did.”

    Golden opportunity

Nick believes that with the right strategy, the Sussexes would be “the perfect pair to reunite and build the presence of the Royal Family once again”, adding that their “Hollywood glamour” would help take the heat off senior royals when they were out of action.

And despite the Sussex team’s apparent remarks over the photo-scandal, it has also been claimed that Meghan has reached out “several times” privately to Kate.

The former actress has reportedly been using “back channels” to Kensington Palace, where William, 41, and Kate’s staff are based in London, to get on “better terms” with her sister-in-law.

Royal author Tom Quinn said: “This is definitely partly because Meghan is genuinely worried about Kate’s health, but she also sees a chance to lose her permanently angry-at-the-royals image.”

He added to the Mirror: “The feeling in Kensington Palace is that if Meghan’s attempts to extend an olive branch are welcomed, it will just re-open old wounds.”

    Needless attacks

However, for their UK image overhaul to succeed, royal experts insist they must call off “attack dogs” like Omid Scobie – often described as the Sussexes’s “mouthpiece”.

This week, the journalist commented on the social media site X that the Princess of Wales’s decision to photoshop the picture she put out on Mother’s Day made it “impossible” for the royal PR machine to regain the public’s trust.

That sort of behaviour, royal expert Angela Levin argues, means Meghan and Harry can’t be trusted.

She tells The Sun: “Having a photoshopped photograph is absolutely nothing about telling lies.

“The most important thing is that you can trust people, and I don’t believe you can trust Harry and Meghan.

“Meghan only wants to come here because it will increase her popularity in getting work, she hopes.”

    Small steps

Even if Meghan did offer an olive branch to Kate, it does not mean she is likely to give up her new life in California.

She and Harry are focused on their non-profit organisation Archewell and various media projects.

Nick Ede says: “I don’t think this is going to happen in the short term – there is too much at stake for both parties and not enough water under the bridge to forget the allegations made against them.

“At this present time both need to carve out their own paths, which Meghan and Harry are doing by concentrating on Archewell and creating compelling content.”

Many people in Britain still harbour negative feelings towards the Duke and Duchess of Sussex due to the comments they have made about the Royal Family, including suggesting the institution is racist.

Angela does not think there is any sign of that chill thawing.

She concludes: “Nobody wants them anymore than they did before.

“Their popularity has sunk almost below ground, and that’s where it will stay.

“Most people who are contacting the Palace, and I know that, are full of praise for Catherine and feel sorry that she has been so badly treated.”

WHY WERE ‘KILL NOTICES’ ISSUED FOR KATE’S PHOTO?

News agencies ordered a “kill notice” on the picture late Sunday night.

The removal orders were sent after “manipulation” on the image was discovered.

AP’s order said the reason for killing the story was: “At closer inspection it appears that the source has manipulated the image.”

The order then directs those who have used the photo to remove it from all platforms, including social.

Agence France-Press ordered the “mandatory kill” due to an “editorial issue” and directed that the image may no longer be used.

Reuters said the photo “has been withdrawn following a post publication review.”

Getty Images said: “For editorial reasons, please remove the following image(s) from your system and do not use in any manner.”

Getty said its picture desk “identified a problematic image” provided by the palace and removed it from its site “in accordance with our editorial policy.”

PA said: “Like other news agencies, PA Media issued the handout image provided by Kensington Palace of the Princess of Wales and her children in good faith yesterday.

“We became aware of concerns about the image and we carried a report about it last night, and made clear that we were seeking urgent clarification about the image from Kensington Palace.

“In the absence of that clarification, we are killing the image from our picture service.”

Each of the news agencies have their own editorial guidelines which govern how they treat images.

AP says that pictures “must always tell the truth” and that it does not alter or manipulate the content of a photograph in any way.

Its guidelines say: “The content of a photograph must not be altered in PhotoShop or by any other means. No element should be digitally added to or subtracted from any photograph.”

However, AP says minor adjustments are allowed, they include cropping, colour adjustments, and light adjustments.
