Stacey Solomon enjoys ‘most successful year’ in a decade ‘earning £27,000 a week’

Stacey Solomon has enjoyed her most successful year since setting up her company in 2012, as she earns nearly £2m in 2023

Stacey Solomon has reportedly enjoyed her most successful year since setting up her company in 2012, as the 34-year-old raked in more than £27K every week in 2023 and nearly £2m in total.

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner and Loose Women panellist has enjoyed a new role as a DIY expert in which she has hosted Channel 4’s renovation show Bricking It, as well as, BBC’s Sort Your Life Out. The Sun has reported that Stacey is also being paid, on average, around £12,000 for each sponsored post on Instagram, where she boasts 5.9 million followers.

According to The Sun, the mother-of-five earned an impressive £1,410,656 through her company Key Map Entertainment during 2023. The publication also reported that the company had assets increased by almost £2 million to an incredible £7 million. Stacey also sold well with her book, Tap To Tidy, which topped 700,000 copies being bought in the past 12 months.

Instagram/staceysolomon)The news about her booming business comes after Stacey gave an update on the possibility of her having a sixth child, a fourth with husband Joe Swash. The former X-Factor star has Rex, four, Rose, two, and one-year-old Belle with former EastEnders star Joe, as well as having two older boys, Zachary, who recently turned 16, and Leighton, 10, from past relationships. Joe also has a teenage son, Harry, with his ex.

Stacey recently said that she felt “broody” on Instagram, and that got fans talking leading to Joe to wade in and say that they’re open to fostering. After Belle, was born, Stacey seemed sure that she and Joe couldn’t handle another baby. She told The Mirror last year: “We don’t want any more we cannot cope with it.Yeah, we wanted all these kids and we’re so grateful to have them. So we will get romantic… but in 20 years’ time!”

TheLoose Womenstar also made it clear she’s not expecting again, telling her Instagram fans: “Oh, for those of you messaging me saying is this baby number six – no, no no! Don’t worry, we’re taking every precaution possible to make sure that doesn’t happen! “, reportsthe Express.

Speaking previously on The Netmums Podcast, Joe said, “Before you know it you’ve got six! This is it, I’m pretty sure that this is it. We can’t go there again which is really sad, we love kids, we love the baby stage, and the toddler stage, and the baby stage goes by really fast, so it is a little bit sad but I think this will be it.”

  • ITV Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan in tears on stage in emotional video as she shares advice with fans

ITV Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan in tears on stage in emotional video as she shares advice with fans

Loose Women panelist Coleen Nolan shared a video recently in which she was seen looking emotional as she came off stage on her solo tour, which concluded earlier this week

Coleen Nolan was emotional on the final night of her first solo tour and she has since shared advice with her fans after having taken on the “really scary” opportunity.

The singer, 59, embarked on her Naked tour last month and has since performed in a number of venues in the UK, prior to the final show in Swansea on Thursday night. Coleen later expressed gratitude over the experience on social media.

The Loose Women panelist took Instagram to mark the occasion, sharing a compilation video of footage from the final night of the tour. It began with a clip of a teary-eyed Coleen coming off the stage at theatre Swansea Grand.

She was then seen sitting in a makeup chair backstage at the theatre, where she opened up about the tour and gave advice to fans. Coleen said: “So it’s the last night of the tour. I’m really sad that it’s come to an end. I can’t believe I did it.”

The performer further commented: “I never thought I’d get to do it again and I did! I felt the fear and I did it anyway! I feel really proud of myself cause it was a really scary thing to do and I’ve loved it. And it’s no feeling like live performance.”

She added: “I guess my message to anyone out there who is … y’know wants to do something and thinks they’re too old or they can’t do it but they’d like to but they’re too scared – I would say ‘go and do it,’ because failure for me comes from not trying. If you try something and you fail at it, it’s still a success because you tried. Just don’t live with regrets.”

Another clip showed her son Shane Nolan, 35, who was her support act, greeting Coleen and her vocal team backstage ahead of the final show. He said: “Can I just interrupt guys? Just want to say a few words. It’s been an absolute pleasure … I’m gonna cry … being your support act and having everyone here, you’re the best and we all love ya.”

Coleen was seen being gifted presents from her colleagues on the tour, which included a signed copy of the tour poster and a framed photo from one of the shows. She then teased in the clip: “Tonight’s gonna be a bit too emotional for me.”

Later in the footage, Coleen was seen wiping her eyes as she faced a standing ovation from the audience. Visibly emotional, she waved at the crowd before heading off stage, with the end of the clip having been seen earlier in the video.

The compilation video was shared by Coleen on Friday, with her writing alongside it: “Wow.. what a ride. Thank you to everyone involved for making a dream of mine come true.” She went on to thank people involved with the tour.

It included describing Shane as the “best support on and off stage”. Coleen concluded: “Finally to every single one of you who came and supported me, from the bottom of my heart, I will never forget you. Thank you, thank you … I love you all.”

Loose Women’s Denise Welch rages she’s ‘f***ing fuming’ as husband left stranded at train station

After Denise Welch’s husband Lincoln Townley faced a ’95 hour trip home’ thanks to cancelled trains and wrong information, the Loose Women star had a few things to say

Fuming Denise Welch went on a mega rant about the state of the train service in the UK after her husband was left stranded at a station.

The Loose Women star let rip as she posted a video from the platform after a forgettable few days of attempted travel. She lost her patience after herself facing massive delays following on from her husband’s trip from hell this weekend. She blasted the service on Instagram, demanding to know the reasons behind the “terrible” state of our transport system.

She started the video: “I’m so angry. Two days ago Lincoln had to change 25,000 times to get back from London to Wilmslow. Then he gets to Leicester and they say ‘sorry mate, there’s no train from here because there’s no staff’. Where are the staff? Why is there now no staff?

“It takes him 95 hours to get home and he had to get a taxi at great expense to Nuneaton because nobody was telling him what was happening. So yesterday, unwell I tried to get a train from Stockport and it had three carriages. It was like those scenes in Japan with their faces up against the glass.”

Captioning her lengthy complaint, she wrote: “F***ing fuming!!!! @avantiwestcoast @lner and whoever is in charge of track and signal maintenance!!!! What are we paying for!!! Absolute disgrace and you actually want to put the prices up!!!!!!! And….you want us to leave our cars at home!!!!” Mirror Online have approached both companies for comment.

It’s not the first time the star has had a grumble about the trains. A few years ago she Twitter row with Virgin over their refusal to give her a free upgrade to First Class. She was travelling to London on a £79 second class ticket this afternoon when the row began. Her first Tweet to the firm suggested they upgrade her to compensate for a disappointing £413 First Class London journey two weeks earlier.

On that occasion, she had been on her way to a charity event with a ticket paid for by her employers. To compensate her at the time, the train manager offered her Prosecco and a bunch of flowers – but this was not satisfactory. So when Virgin replied to her Tweet today refusing her request, she replied: “May I ask why when as a very regular traveller I spent £413 and got not even a hot coffee?”

Virgin Trains Tweeted back: “Are you referring to the time we offered you a bottle of champagne?” To which Denise took exception – saying it was half a bottle of Prosecco and she didn’t drink. She said her Tweet had been ‘tongue in cheek’ – but stood by her complaint.

She said: “I just think prices are absolutely ridiculous and if you pay that much money and don’t get the service you pay for they should compensate you and as financial compensation is not up for grabs then they should do something else. On that occasion, she had been on her way to a work event with a ticket paid for by her employers.

“That ticket was £413 – I didn’t pay because the journey was for a work event so work paid but that isn’t the point. That’s the price of a holiday.” She said the train manager on her disappointing journey had been ‘fantastic’. She added: “And I wasn’t kicking off, I’m not like that. But my point was that Virgin think by giving me a quarter of a bottle of Prosecco when I don’t drink, I shouldn’t be upgraded as compensation. This is not just for me but anybody who paid £413 and something has gone wrong.”

Stacey Solomon given insulting nickname by hubby Joe Swash after disagreement over new habit

Stacey Solomon was left fuming as she shared the rude nickname that her husband Joe Swash has for her on her new Channel 4 show, Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescues

Stacey Solomon revealed her husband’s cheeky nickname for her on her latest Channel 4 television gig, Stacey Solomon’s Renovation Rescues.

The multi-talented star had been happily showcasing her impressive DIY skills to her Instagram followers ever since they became proud owners of Pickle Cottage in March 2021. Her blossoming passion for organisation and creativity has attracted a slew of TV offers. Following the popular show Sort Your Life Out, she has now bravely taken centre stage – hosting her own home-makeover programme for Channel 4.

The revelation about Joe’s rather insulting sobriquet came about during filming at their beloved Pickle Cottage. Joe casually appeared on the scene, along with their adorable trio of kiddiwinks. The 34-year-old Loose Women panellist was chatting to the cameras about dreams of converting their garage into a personal fitness space.

With understandable worries about losing his precious fishing gear storage, Joe popped in to get an idea about her renovation plans. The lively conversation veered towards sharing the space, when Stacey explained her idea of creating a partition wall that would respect their separate interests.

However, the former EastEnders actor didn’t exactly share her enthusiasm about the space-sharing agreement; leading Stacey to hilariously reveal to the crew that “Joe call’s me Donald Trump because he says I’m forever building walls.”

Meanwhile, according to the Daily Star, tears were shed as the bubbly Essex girl guided emotional homeowners Caroline and Erik through a stressful renovation process in Enfield. The hapless couple had hoped to transform their humble bungalow into a dream home but wept over some expensive setbacks.

The couple were considering re-mortgaging their house and borrowing money from family to complete the project, until their saviour Stacey arrived with some cost-saving ideas.

Stacey, a mother of five, was hands-on as she assisted them in panelling a feature wall and secret door, saving them from spending £6,000 on bi-fold doors. She also persuaded them to retain light-restoring windows in the hallway to keep it bright, which saved even more money.

Caroline and Erik, who had been brought to tears at the beginning of the programme, were left beaming by the end. They had initially been quoted £65,000 to finish the rebuild, but ended up coming in £5,000 under budget thanks to Stacey’s assistance.

Former Loose Women star Carol McGiffin has shut down rumours about her returning to the ITV show, branding it “that little job”.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting her return stating “it’s not the same without you”, however, Carol dispelled the hope for her third stint. The television star was an integral part of the ITV panel starting in 2000 to 2013 and then back again from 2018 to 2023.

Her exit was rather controversial as she claimed she was “forced” to leave. In the past year, she confessed her grievances on leaving behind familiar faces like Nadia Sawalha and Denise Welch stating: “I feel quite upset about it, if I’m honest, because although it is my decision, I felt like it was one I was being forced to make. No one in their right mind would have signed that contract and I can’t see a way back from it.”

Despite squashing speculation about getting back to the popular daytime show, it seems Carol hasn’t called it quits yet. She playfully informed her 154,000 Instagram followers that she was not “totally retired yet”. Further embracing honesty, Carol used an update on Instagram to further promote her podcast.

She posted a snapshot fit with a microphone and wrote: “Apparently, some people are missing me,” She continued saying, “Not because I haven’t been on here for ages but because I’m not on that daytime ITV show I used to do, Loose Women. Sadly that little job isn’t coming back but I’m not totally retired yet,” reports OK!.

Carol has been actively promoting her audio project, telling fans, “I’m still doing this podcast which is called ‘What’s Your Problem With Nick Abbot and Carol McGiffin?’ and it’s available on most podcast outlets. We’ve been doing it for over four years and quite a lot of people like it! Go on, give it a go! You might enjoy it and you might even laugh.”

Her dedicated fanbase hasn’t been shy about their disappointment following her departure from Loose Women. One supporter stated, “Loose Women is utterly boring now. Stopped watching about 2 years ago. Carol only one worth listening to.” Another commented, “Loose Women is SO boring without you. All the good original people keep leaving.”

Echoing the sentiment, a third added, “Loose Women is definitely not the same without you. Hardly watch it now. Didn’t know you had a podcast – I do now so I will be tuning in.” A fourth fan expressed their nostalgia, saying, “Do miss you on Loose Women, turn off some days, can’t stand some of them on the panel now, we’ve had the best I fear, enjoy your semi retirement.”

Discussing her decision to leave with Best magazine last year, Carol disclosed that the terms offered by ITV were unacceptable. She clarified, “The problem was, ITV were insisting, for the first time since I went back in 2018, that if I wanted to carry on doing the show, I would have to sign a contract that was totally unjust and unworkable for me, so I had to say ‘no thanks’.”

Prince Harry ‘terrified Meghan Markle would leave him’ so he made a very unusual move

A royal commentator has shared that Prince Harry was once “terrified” over the possibility that Meghan Markle could leave him.

Prince Harry was once “terrified” that Meghan Markle would leave him, it has been claimed.

In 2016, around the time that their relationship became public, Harry defended his now-wife in a letter to the media.

The letter read that Harry was “worried” about Meghan’s safety and that she should not have been “subjected to such a storm” – especially so early in their relationship.

Harry’s letter had been live on the Royal Family’s website, but the link has been inactive since the end of 2023.

Speaking on GB News, royal expert Angela Levin said: “On the royal website, they removed the information that in 2016 Harry sent this very, very angry letter to the press.

“It was to say that they were being racist towards Meghan and disturbing her. Now that was when they met.

“It was interesting in 2016, I went to see him and I was told by one of his aides, ‘be very, very careful because he’s just written a letter and he’s terrified that Meghan’s going to leave him’.”

She added: “So actually go very carefully, otherwise he’ll throw you out’. It’s quite an odd way of thinking. You’re going to interview the Prince and then you’re going to have to be really careful. But I managed to write.

“That’s what the issue was, he was terrified that Meghan was going to leave him. It was love at first sight from his point of view.”

Speaking of the letter now being inactive on the website, Ms Levin said that Harry is “very cross because he felt it should be against the press”.

Prince Harry made reference to the letter in his bombshell memoir Spare, which was released in January 2023.

He wrote: “I showed the essay to Jason (Knauf, former Kensington Palace Communications Secretary), said we needed a course correction immediately.

“No more debate, no more discussion. Within a day, we had a draft. Strong, precise, angry, honest. I didn’t think it would be the end, but maybe the beginning of the end.”

Additionally, Harry expressed that the statement angered both his father, King Charles and his brother, Prince William.

In Spare, he wrote: “My statement generated a whole new onslaught from my family. Pa and Willy (King Charles and Prince William) were furious. They gave me an earful.

My statement made them look bad, they both said. “Why in hell? Because they’d never put out a statement for their girlfriends, or wives when they were being harassed.”

Harry makes touching surprise visit during UK tour as delighted girl says he’s ‘amazing’

The Duke of Sussex spent the afternoon with 50 children and young people, aged between six and 22, at a surprise charity event, all of whom have experienced the death of a military parent

The Duke of Sussex was pictured chatting and playing games with bereaved military children as he made a surprise visit to a charity event – with one girl saying he was ‘amazing’ to speak to.

Harry spent the afternoon with 50 children and young people, aged between six and 22, who have experienced the death of a military parent. He took part in games including one which saw the duke use a straw to transport Smarties as quickly as possible and spoke to the youngsters as part of the fun-filled event hosted in London by Scotty’s Little Soldiers.

Harry also spent time talking to nine members from Scotty’s Council, a group of young people who represent the charity’s other members, who discussed their experiences of growing up without a parent. The duke, 39, completed two tours of Afghanistan between 2007 and 2013 as a forward air controller and an Apache helicopter pilot, having flown countless training missions in the UK, US and Australia.

He said: “It was an honour to meet so many of the wonderful families Scotty’s Little Soldiers supports. I have long believed in the mission of this charity, and I truly believe the work they do to foster community and create space for young people to connect, grieve, but also have fun together is life-changing. I am a huge supporter of their work, and very proud to be their first global ambassador.”

The charity for which the duke became a global ambassador in November was one of seven which had been nominated by Harry and Meghan to benefit from donations marking the couple’s wedding ceremony in 2018. Harry has been involved with the charity since 2017 and recorded a special video message in 2022 dressed as Spider-Man for its children’s Christmas party.

Georgia Paterson, 16, said it was “amazing” to speak to the duke about the experience of losing a parent growing up. She said: ” Prince Harry was the best person to share that experience with because he’s been through it and understands better than anyone. It was really moving to see how vulnerable he was with us, which encouraged us to open up as well.”

Georgia added: “It felt really connecting because when your parent served, they served for the country, and one of the most important things for the country is the royal family. Speaking with someone who is part of that made me feel more connected to my Dad. It was amazing to be connected to him in that moment.”

Nikki Scott, who founded the charity in 2010 following the death of her husband during a tour in Afghanistan, said: “It was amazing to see all the smiles in the room when Prince Harry walked through the door. The Duke of Sussex has supported Scotty’s for a long time, which means a lot to our members because they know he understands what it’s like to experience the death of a parent and the challenges they face.”

Prince Harry is a ‘breath of fresh air’ as he delivers passionate speech alongside Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry spent time at the Lights Academy in Nigeria, where the Duke of Sussex gave a passionate speech on the taboo surrounding mental health struggles

Prince Harry delivered an “absolutely monumental” speech as he discussed the importance of destigmatising mental health struggles, according to an expert.

The Duke of Sussex was joined by Meghan Markle at the Lights Academy in Abuja as part of their tour of Nigeria. Addressing the room, Harry said: “There is a stigma against mental health. Too many people don’t want to talk about it because it’s invisible, it’s in your mind and we can’t see it.”

He added: “But guess what, every single person in this room, the youngest, the oldest, every single person has mental health. So therefore, you have to look after yourself in order to be able to help other people, other people have to look after themselves in order to be able to look after you.” Mental health expert Rychel Johnson, M.S., LCPC, has told The Mirror Harry’s speech is a “breath of fresh air”.

grabs PREP: BREAKING: First pictures of Harry and Meghan in Nigeria
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited the Lights Academy in Nigeria
She said: “As someone who has been in the therapy trenches for a number of years now specialising in anxiety disorders, Prince Harry’s candid comments on mental health felt like a breath of fresh air. In my line of work, I regularly bear witness to the utterly devastating toll that bottled-up psychological struggles can unleash on every aspect of someone’s life.”

She added: “Harry was spot on in pointing out how mental health issues carry this invisible, insidious quality that allows them to fester in silence and secrecy. So many of my clients have walked through my office doors weighed down by profound shame and self-loathing precisely because their internal suffering lacks the external validation of a physical ailment or condition.

“The stigma perpetuates the suffering. That’s why I found his reassurances about the full emotional spectrum – sadness, stress, overwhelm, you name it – being totally normal, natural human experiences to be so powerfully validating.”

In his speech, Harry said: “If you woke up this morning feeling sad, if you left school feeling stressed, if you’ve lost a loved one in your family who you usually turn to or speak to, all of these things you may be led to believe are not for conversation. We are here today to tell you that that is not the case.

“Every single one of those things is completely normal.” Rychel praised Harry for trying to break down the taboo surrounding mental health.

She told us: “Our culture has this bizarre hang-up about upholding unrealistic ideals of stoicism and rigid emotional restraint. It breeds this toxic mentality that any display of vulnerability equates to weakness or deficiency. By boldly giving voice to those “bad days” and recognising them as the inevitable emotional storms we all have to weather sometimes, Harry is extending this simple yet radical permission to embrace our messy shared humanity without disclaimer or apology.”

Rychel said Harry’s speech was “absolutely monumental”. The expert explained: “When high-profile figures lead by example with this level of emotional honesty, it inherently creates more breathing room for others to follow suit without fearing intense stigma or backlash.”

She concluded: “Having impassioned advocates like Prince Harry is vital for propelling that cultural shift toward greater openness, acceptance and resource accessibility around mental health care. It’s a powerful first step in the right direction.”
