ITV Loose Women’s Gloria Hunniford issues four word dig at Denise Welch after she ripped into guest

Loose Women viewers were left reeling after Gloria Hunniford delivered a brutal four-word dig to her co-star Denise Welch, a day after her explosive clash with a guest over Meghan Markle

Loose Women star Gloria Hunniford caught viewers off guard with a sharp four-word jibe towards co-star Denise Welch following her clash with a show guest.

Monday’s episode was hosted by Coleen Nolan, who was joined by panelists Gloria, Denise, and Brenda Edwards. However, they saw an unexpected bite from Gloria as Denise revealed her desire to leave the UK. As they chatted about how the Bank Holiday weather was affecting everyone’s moods, Gloria passionately declared her affection for the UK.

She stated: “I tell you what though… I wouldn’t live anywhere else. Simple as that. Because I could live in the sunshine.” Denise countered with: “I would.” Suddenly, Gloria hit back with a pointed remark: “When are you going?,” leaving the audience visibly shocked and Denise momentarily tongue-tied, managing only laughter in reply to the playful dig.

Brenda joined in with a surprised: “Wow!” Viewers quickly took to social media to share their thoughts on the spicy dialogue, with one viewer remarking: “Gloria’s on fire today! ! #loosewomen.” Another added: “Oh wow, when said Gloria. When is Denise leaving?? #loosewomen.” Someone else perfectly captured the moment with one word: “Miaow!”.

Denise further explained: “There’s lots I love about this country but if I didn’t have my grandson now, I think I could leave.” Gloria, ever the optimistic one, reacted: “See now lots of reasons to stay,” and took a moment to reflect on the global situation. She said: “When you look at the world and other countries, you think, ‘This is not bad… the weather is.’”.

With a touch of resignation, Denise remarked: “Used to be – not now.” The show’s host, Coleen, tried to change the direction of the chat towards more positive areas, suggesting: “Anyway, onto to some feel good news please.” Earlier in the week, Denise shocked viewers as she ripped into a TV star live on the show.

The Loose Women panellist was seething on Monday when Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II and to King Charles III before he was crowned last year, was in the studio to speak about the monarch’s cancer battle. Dickie decided to address the elephant in the room – can the monarch ever repair his strained relationship with his son, Prince Harry?

Denise insisted she thought Meghan and Harry’s decision to leave Windsor and Frogmore Cottage behind was nothing short of logical. “If I may say, do you not think there is a reason why Harry did such a thing?”, she asked. Denise then summarised the heartbreak surrounding King Charles III’s family, wounds first stemming from the monarch’s marriage with Lady Diana “when he was in love with Camilla.”

“It ruined a lot of Diana’s life”, Denise claimed. The former Coronation Street star then recalled how Harry walked publicly behind his mother’s coffin and accepted Queen Camilla as his stepmother. “Then he has a wife who is completely and continually trashed by the media, including your good self”, Denise added while turning to Dickie. “I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets (…) we continually berate this woman every day.” Denise furiously doubled down: “Why would they not walk out? Why would they want to spend their life in a country that hated them?”

ITV stars with famous children from Linda Robson’s ‘mind-blowing’ son to Bridgerton actress daughter

They might be household names on our TV screens but the children of several ITV stars have already surpassed their parents’ careers. The Mirror takes a look at the next generation’s rises to fame

Loose Women stars Linda Robson and Denise Welch have more in common than just their presenter statuses.

Along with Coronation Street actresses Sally Dynevor and Katy Cavanagh, and primetime presenter Bradley Walsh, all of the well-known ITV faces have children who have shot to fame themselves. “At the end of the day he’s just my little boy and having a famous mum is something that he’s used to,” Denise told Luxe magazine.

Bradley said of his famous son: “He’s a great lad. I’ve said it on many occasions, he’s the person I always wanted to be. He’s got wonderful humility, he’s very sensitive.”

From heading to Hollywood to performing at sell out world tours, we find out who the five celebrities’ offspring are and how they achieved huge success…

She’s the Loose Women panellist best known for playing Tracey in BBC ’90s sitcom Birds of a Feather but not everyone is aware Linda Robson’s son is famous too. Louis Dunford is a talented singer-songwriter best known for Arsenal football club’s anthem The Angel (North London Forever).

Louis, 32, started playing the piano when he was 15 and his music was discovered by late music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards – son of Loose Women panellist Brenda Edwards – back in 2014. Linda was recently spotted shedding tears at an Arsenal game when Louis’s song was played, with a spectator uploading footage onto social media which went viral.

Many football fans were amazed at the mother-son link between the pair, writing comments like ‘mind blown’ under the viral video. Linda, 66, had Louis and daughter Roberta with window cleaning company owner Mark Dunford, with the couple parting ways last year.

Fellow Loose Women star Denise is beyond proud of her musician son. Matty Healy is the frontman of The 1975, who have had five number one albums in the UK and enjoyed success in the notoriously hard-to-crack US too.

“I just think: ‘Sometimes I can’t believe I gave birth to you’,” said Denise, calling her son a ‘creative genius’. “We are like, insanely close,” said Matty of his famous mum, with actor Tim Healy his dad. The songwriter’s emotional track She Lays Down tells the story of the post natal depression Denise, 65, suffered after giving birth to him.

Matty, 35, famously dated megastar Taylor Swift for a couple of months last year, with Denise posting a backstage snap with the Shake It Off singer on her social media. The former Coronation Street star loves attending her eldest son’s gigs, saying: “I get an amazing response from his fans. They wave and I wave back and suddenly it is like a ripple effect and 30,000 people are screaming at me. I’ve now learned to embrace it because they are so lovely.”

Sally Dynevor has played Sally Webster in Coronation Street since 1986 but while the actress is a household name in the UK, her daughter is famous worldwide thanks to the success of Netflix’s Bridgerton. Phoebe Dynevor starred in the first series of the steamy period drama, which reached a staggering 82 million households in its first 28 days of release in 2020.

Phoebe, 29, became famous overnight and says her mother being in the same profession was a massive help. “There was a certain point with Bridgerton where I was over-analysing everything and my mum told me to just embrace it all and not to be terrified of it,” the star recently told Elle UK.

Sally, 60, accompanied her daughter to the BAFTA Film Awards this February, writing on social media: ‘Had the time of my life’. Phoebe headed to the iconic Met Gala this month, sporting a huge diamond on her ring finger which sparked rumours she was set to wed US actor beau Cameron Fuller. Sally then posted a social media snap of a delighted Phoebe jumping into Cameron’s arms at what appeared to be a country estate, with a rainbow in the sky behind them – could that have been the moment they got engaged?

Coronation Street star Katy Cavanagh played bubbly Julie Carp in the soap for seven years and just like Denise Welch and Sally Dynevor, she has a very successful acting offspring. Noah Jupe played Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant’s son in 2020 HBO psychological thriller The Undoing, which attracted huge viewing figures on both sides of the Atlantic.

Noah, 19, also had roles in ITV’s Downton Abbey in 2015 and 2016’s The Night Manager on the BBC. He is also known for his film roles, which include 2019’s Ford v Ferrari and Honey Boy the same year, playing a young Shia LaBeouf, for which he was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male.

Katy, 50, is married to Noah’s dad, filmmaker and producer Chris Jupe with the couple having three kids, Noah, Jemima and Jacobi. The actress is said to have left Coronation Street to support her son’s Hollywood career and Jacobi is an actor too, bagging a role in Disney’s Peter Pan and Wendy film at the age of seven. “It’s a crazy world out there,” Noah told the Independent in 2021. “And it’s an equally if not more crazy world in Hollywood or in the movie industry. So to have that close circle of people that I trust, my family or my close friends, is very important.”

Barney, 26, attracted accusations of nepotism earlier this year when he was hired alongside his dad to co-host the BBC’s high-profile revamp of hit ’90s show Gladiators. But the star already had a host of acting credits to his name including The Larkins and Death in Paradise, plus in Guy Ritchie’s 2017 film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

The father-son duo have get on so well they teamed up for their own reality show on ITV Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, which has run for five series to date. “He has always been my son, and you always take care of them,” said Bradley, 63, who has a daughter called Hayley too. “But then all of a sudden he becomes your equal and a work colleague, and a mate, and someone you respect. Now I look up to him.”

Speaking of her decision to bow out, Helen said: “This year felt like the perfect time to leave the show after celebrating 50 years in the most wonderful job on the most wonderful street in the world. I made the decision at the start of the year and spoke to the producers who were very kind and understanding. I have been truly blessed to have been given the most incredible scripts week in week out, and to have worked with fantastic actors, directors and a brilliant crew. The past 50 years have flown by and I don’t think the fact that I am leaving has quite sunk in yet.”

Kate Middleton and Charles health updates shared by emotional Sarah Ferguson after own cancer battle

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, joined Good Morning Britain on Wednesday to give an update on both her own health as well as the King and Princess of Wales’ after the Royal Family had a double cancer scare

An emotional Sarah Ferguson provided the nation with an update on the health of King Charles and Kate Middleton when she appeared on Good Morning Britain today.

The Duchess of York has faced her own brave battle with cancer while the Princess of Wales and the King recently revealed they were undergoing treatment for the disease. Meanwhile, Fergie was asked to address rumours that her ex-husband and close friend Prince Andrew is downsizing from the Royal Lodge, as well as giving a cheery update on the late Queen’s corgis.

Responding to host Susanna Reid’s health enquiry, she revealed: “All these years I’ve been thinking ‘am I good enough? Am I this, am I that? Do I get my finances right? Do I do this? And actually suddenly now with a mastectomy and then with malignant melanoma, every single day, it’s not a wake up call, it’s now a new normal.”

She added: “You can never say you’re cancer-free, but you can say that I’m doing well Susanna, and I’m very lucky, but I really am determined. Honestly 1.2 mammograms are not being picked up. The people are not going for their mammograms, they’re not being tested. They need to be tested, they can be tested and don’t be frightened.”

In response to the Duchess’s words, Susanna replied: “I had been avoiding it because I was worried and it wasn’t the painful experience that I had in my head that it was – so thank you. [It was] All clear, thank goodness.”

The lovely Princess Catherine doing the video was so brave. I think family unity is an extraordinary thing and I’m honestly just so proud and I just send them lots of love and lots of support.”

When quizzed by co-host Martin Lewis about the King’s request for Prince Andrew and herself to relocate from the Royal Lodge to the ‘much smaller’ Frogmore cottage, Sarah responded: “Well, you know it’s not a ‘Debbie Downer’. It’s life in the fast lane. I’m a guest for a start. I am a very lucky guest and a very comfortable guest, thank you very much. But I tend not to get involved in brothers’ discussions and I think that’s the best, most safe place to be. Let the brothers discuss it between themselves and I keep it like that.”

The Duchess shared a touching insight into her private conversations with Queen Elizabeth before her passing. Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, she revealed: “Just before the Queen died, Queen Elizabeth, the late Queen, she said ‘Sarah, just being yourself is enough and it’s good enough’ and as soon as she said that… I walk on and talk to you guys and you can ask me anything you like because I am okay now. I have done my apprenticeship of life at 64.”

Following such heartening words from Her Majesty, the Duchess added: “I now sort of feel as though, ‘wow, she said that myself is good enough’ and I thought she was one of the finest people I had ever met in my entire life and a legend, an icon and I love her and of course, I have the corgis everyday… They are fantastic.”

The Duchess will be joining the Loose Women panel again, reports Gloucestershire Live. She’ll be on Wednesday’s show from 12.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Sean Ono has received death threats after mocking Prince Harry’s memoir with a brutal two-word swipe.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Sean revealed that he has faced numerous death threats after he made an indirect comment that Harry should have titled his memoir “Spare Me”.

He wrote: “I’ve had three to four death threats since making fun of Harry’s book title and then later saying it was justified because he’s an idiot and that he and I both deserve to be mocked. Yay internet.”

Some comments were particularly hurtful, with one referencing his late father’s murder.

John Lennon was murdered in December 1980 by Mark David Chapman, who was sentenced to 20 years to life before being repeatedly denied parole.

Sean’s initial tweet read: “My long-awaited review of Prince Harry’s autobiography is two words: ‘Spare Me.’”

He added: “We met once. That was before I realised he was an idiot.”

In a separate post, Sean said he sympathises with Harry to a certain level but that the Duke of Sussex has “earned some mockery”.

He wrote: “I do empathise with him generally. But the way he whines and wangs on about things is really too much. I’m just having a little fun. I think he’s earned some mockery. (I’m sure I have as well).”

This is not the first time that Sean has criticised Spare. After the 316-page read was published, he said: “When Harry’s editor read the sentence: ‘My penis was oscillating between extremely sensitive, and borderline traumatised,’ did they not want to stage an intervention of some sort?

“I mean that is for sure one of the worst sentences ever written in the English language.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry snubbed members of the Royal Family as celebs attended Princess Lilibet’s third birthday bash.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn’t invite the Royal Family to their daughter’s birthday party so they could “avoid potential drama”, according to an expert.

Princess Lilibet celebrated her third birthday on Tuesday, with her parents hosting a special birthday bash over the weekend. The party was reportedly attended by celebrities including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, but the royals didn’t make an appearance.

Royal author Tom Quinn said the Sussexes failed to send out invitations to the Royal Family and now relationship expert Louella Alderson has suggested why.

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “Given the tensions between the Royal Family and Harry and Meghan, it’s not surprising that they chose to celebrate Princess Lilibet’s birthday privately with their own close circle of friends and family.”

She added: “Their decision to exclude the Royal Family from the celebration could suggest that there is still unresolved tension or distance between them.

“It’s also possible that Harry and Meghan wanted to have a more intimate and personal celebration for their daughter’s first birthday without any outside interference or potential drama.

“They may have felt that celebrating with just their closest loved ones would create a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone involved.”

Louella said there still seems to be tension between the Sussexes and the Royal Family, adding: “It seems that the relationships between Harry and Meghan and the Royal Family are still strained. Princess Kate and King Charles’ illnesses don’t seem to have opened any communication channels as of yet.”

However one expert noted that Fergie had never burned bridges - unlike the Sussexes

Louella continued: “However, it’s important to remember that family dynamics and relationships are complex and can take time to heal. It’s possible that Harry and Meghan are still working through their feelings towards the Royal Family and may eventually choose to involve them in future celebrations or events once they have had more time to heal.”

Sharing what happened at Lilibet’s birthday bash, royal expert Tom Quinn said: “Rather than go for a low-key celebration Harry and Meghan have spent the past weekend enjoying a pre-birthday bash for their daughter Lillibet’s third birthday – hugely expensive presents have been ruled out but the couple’s mansion in California was awash with celebrities including Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom and their daughter Daisy who is just a few months older than Lilibet.”

He added that it was “shocking” that no invitiation were issuesd to members of the Royal Family, with one of Harry’s army friends reportedly saying: “Harry knew they wouldn’t come anyway and he was pretty sure he would not have wanted them there.

“But he is really sad that Archie and Lilibet cannot have any kind of relationship with their cousins while his feud with his family continues.”

Meghan Markle’s popularity is in the gutter – her monetisation of royals was last straw, warns expert after damning poll

A ROYAL expert has revealed Meghan Markle’s popularity is in the gutter because of her “monetising” of royals.

The Duchess of Sussex popularity took a significant hit with a new poll unveiling she’s not that popular among Brits.

The Ipsos poll, marking the first anniversary of King Charles’ Coronation, showed a whopping 75 percent percent of Brits are not fans of Meghan.

Prince Harry has also been hit by the results, languishing near the bottom of the popularity table with only 31 per cent approval rating.

Meghan and Harry and the royal family have parted company and done so with so many public appearances that have caused problems

    Richard FitzwilliamsRpyal Expert

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams dubbed Meghan’s popularity as “absolutely terrible”.

He told The Sun Online: “She is the only member of the royal family that has actually gone down.”

Mr Fitzwilliams blames much of Meghan and Harry’s popularity woes to their post-royal public life.

He slammed the couple for “capitalising” on their royal connections.

The expert added: “The problem is that when the Sussexes ceased to be senior working Royals, they started attacking the royal family and monetised their royal connections.

“That seems to me to be so destructive. They should have had more publicity conscious decisions a great deal earlier.”

But the poll also shows that couple seems to resonate more with younger generations – with Meghan boasting 42 percent among 18 to 34 years-olds.

However, the expert is convinced the overall sentiment remains negative.

He added: “Obviously, there was support during the period of the Oprah interview and Meghan is an American.

“But I think that people’s eyes have been open to the fact that they exploit the connection they have with the Crown and yet they also attack the Monarchy.

“If they weren’t royals, I don’t think there would be any specific interest in them.”

He claims the consequences of these actions are evident after Meghan’s decision not to attend Harry’s upcoming service at St Paul’s Cathedral to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.

The royal commentator said: “Harry is very wise not to bring Meghan to the Invictus Games’ anniversary because it just simply wouldn’t work.”

The couple’s rift surrounding Omid Scobie’s comments and their previous incendiary interviews have done little to repair the their fractious relationship with the Palace.

He added: “But is the way that Meghan and Harry and the royal family have parted company and done so with so many public appearances that have caused problems.

“I don’t think that the royal family is particularly concerned with Harry and Meghan’s popularity.

“I think it’s the Sussexes who should be concerned by the lack of it, because it’s very low in Britain. And it’s also low in the United States.

“They’ve been pretty brutal personal attacks. Personal things have been said about the Prince of Wales about William’s supposed attack on Harry which made the last headline in Spare.”

Even if Meghan did offer an olive branch to the Palace, it does not mean she is likely to give up her new life in California, he said.

The former Hollywood actress and Harry are focused on their various media projects – including their non-profit organisation Archewell.

Mr Fitzwilliams added: “There’s absolutely no question that the rest would never have got to this stage if they stopped or hadn’t started to attack the royal family since they believe they got such a raw deal when they were members of it.”

IT is a photo that tells the tale of two princes – one a British royal who turned his back on his duties, the other a wannabe accused of exploiting his spurious connections for reality TV fame.

But royal watchers are now asking if Prince Harry and Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe, who posed for a selfie together at an awards bash this weekend, are really so different.

The pair met after Harry received an award for being a “Living Legend of Aviation”, joking on stage about his first time in a helicopter and beaming at the D-list crowd, which included Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, Miss Teen California Taliya Peiris and artist Mimi Stuart, who showed off a portrait of Harry in his Apache cockpit with the words: “He has a magnificent, big helmet.”

The royal was among very few famous faces at the £1,100-a-head ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Friday, the most high-profile being Jeff Bezos and John Travolta.

Other guests were decidedly lower rent — among them Prince Mario-Max, a controversial reality TV star whose connections to German royalty have regularly been questioned.

Royal expert Angela Levin, who spent 15 months with Harry while writing his biography, said: “It’s a very sad situation. Harry was once loved around the world and often named as the favourite royal, but now he’s very near the bottom.

“He is lost, he doesn’t know what he wants and it was a very desperate move to accept a ridiculous gong like this.

    Considerable backlash

“Harry looks foolish and it was a silly thing to do. He clearly wasn’t proud of himself because he crept in and out via the back door.

“There was no, ‘Here I am, amazing flying man Harry’. If you were happy you’d make a big entrance and exit. He hasn’t done that.”

His wife Meghan was due to attend the ceremony with him, but pulled out at the last minute, apparently because one of their children was unwell.

Attending alone, it would be fair for Harry to feel a little uncomfortable as he joined other Living Legends of Aviation winners, who include the first two men to set foot on the moon, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin.

Another of his fellow winners on the night was Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’s fiancée Lauren Sanchez, who was honoured for running a company that offers an aerial filming service.

And Harry’s decision to accept the award brought considerable backlash from experts.

Among them was Baron West of Spithead, former First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff, who said it was “pathetic” and “nonsense” for organisers “to pick someone like Prince Harry”.

The royal spent ten years in military service as an Army helicopter co-pilot and gunner, including two tours of Afghanistan, yet for many the award seems unfounded.

Angela Levin went on: “It’s quite obvious to anyone that his career of flying, albeit in an Apache, doesn’t mean he can compare himself to people who have walked on the moon.

“It is unlikely he would have been given this award if it was not for the fact that he is a prince.”

If Harry is doomed to attending celebrity events purely on the basis of his title, then this fact was rather uncomfortably underlined when he was ambushed for a selfie by Prince Mario-Max.

Once dubbed the “King of Trash TV”, the German “royal” is “a negative human being who people laugh at”, according to Angela.

She said: “Prince Mario-Max just wants fame and is taking advantage of Harry.

“Is Harry too naive to realise he’s being seen with this impostor and taken for a ride?”

Mario-Max has often been accused of bringing the name of German royalty into disrepute by his apparent love of appearing on reality TV shows and attending red carpet events.

The 46-year-old inherited his “prince” title at the age of 31, after his adoptive mother Antonia married Prince Waldemar zu Schaumburg-Lippe in 2008.

Germany does not have an official royal family, but the House of Lippe, which once ruled over a number of small German states, maintains its aristocratic titles.

Mario-Max has been accused of “harvesting” the royal name “for personal gain” by the head of the family, Prince Alexander of Schaumburg-Lippe, who was outraged by his recent appearance alongside the Duke of Sussex.

He said: “It’s very painful for me. Prince Harry cannot stoop lower than appearing with him. I would advise him to stay away from this man.”

On social media, Mario-Max calls himself a “Royal and TV anchor”, while on his website he claims to have connections stretching back to William of Orange, which would make him a very distant cousin of the British royals.

It has been enough to launch his career in reality TV.

In 2011 he appeared in the US programme The Millionaire Matchmaker, where he boasted about his royal connections and longing for a woman with a “natural appearance . . .  not fake”.

Three years later he followed it with a stint on Germany’s Celebrity Big Brother, which lasted eight days before he was evicted, and a saucy comedy series called Travel Boobs.

He has regularly courted the media, initially making his name as a showbiz and royal reporter before promoting businesses including a “wealth elixir” which he flogged on a TV shopping channel.

Mario-Max’s Instagram page — where he has 42,900 followers — is full of photos from glitzy red carpet events and snaps with celebrities including Paris Hilton, Lady Gaga, Andrew Lloyd Webber and now Prince Harry.

After his encounter with the latter, he congratulated the duke on his award, writing: “VERY MUCH DESERVED” — yet online, unimpressed commenters have branded the event as “cringe” and “a joke”.

One user sniped: “Two irrelevant middle-aged men without serious pursuit using their titles to grift in superficial Hollywood.”

Another wrote: “Jesus! One is exploiting dead parent, the other dead step-parent, birds of the feather. This gave me second-hand embarrassment.”

Yet another said: “Hey Prince Mario — are you related to this faux prince? Harry has just joined this club. He is now a faux prince. A celebrity. Irrelevant.”

Harry may not have known who he was posing with, but experts say it is the sort of association that could prove damaging as the Sussexes try to build media careers.

It follows their £78million Netflix deal reportedly being at risk, Meghan’s podcast series with Spotify coming to an end and the TV show South Park publicly mocking them.

Brand expert Mark Borkowski said: “There’s a lack of strategic planning by Harry and being photographed with Mario-Max will have raised eyebrows.

“There was a profound tinge of desperation about his decision to accept the Living Legends award.

“There has been a huge amount of debate on this award from people in the aviation industry and among real heroes too.

“You have to be careful when you associate with an award or an event to make sure it has the credibility that matches your own. If not, it will tarnish your brand.

“Harry receiving this award will give a lot of ammunition to naysayers. It’s unlikely to derail someone of his stature, but he must take stock now.

“If you accept an award with no credibility, it attracts people looking for publicity and there are dangers of who you choose to align yourself with.

“Being involved in an event that’s faced so much criticism is not a good start to the year.

“The way he is working currently suggests it’s going to be a rocky old road for the equilibrium of his brand.”

Indeed, it seems that in events such as this one he may never find the inner peace he got from flying.

Accepting his award, he said: “For me, flying has been a transcendent experience.

“A close encounter with magic, an invitation to both protect freedom . . .  and to feel free, and funnily enough, an opportunity to ground oneself, without actually being grounded.”

He added: “Flying taught me the power of discipline, the power of patience and, beyond that, the power of trusting your gut.”

On the evidence of this weekend, it seems his gut might no longer be giving him the right advice.
