Fuming Denise Welch went on a mega rant about the state of the train service in the UK after her husband was left stranded at a station.

The Loose Women star let rip as she posted a video from the platform after a forgettable few days of attempted travel. She lost her patience after herself facing massive delays following on from her husband’s trip from hell this weekend. She blasted the service on Instagram, demanding to know the reasons behind the “terrible” state of our transport system.

She started the video: “I’m so angry. Two days ago Lincoln had to change 25,000 times to get back from London to Wilmslow. Then he gets to Leicester and they say ‘sorry mate, there’s no train from here because there’s no staff’. Where are the staff? Why is there now no staff?

“It takes him 95 hours to get home and he had to get a taxi at great expense to Nuneaton because nobody was telling him what was happening. So yesterday, unwell I tried to get a train from Stockport and it had three carriages. It was like those scenes in Japan with their faces up against the glass.”

Captioning her lengthy complaint, she wrote: “F***ing fuming!!!! @avantiwestcoast @lner and whoever is in charge of track and signal maintenance!!!! What are we paying for!!! Absolute disgrace and you actually want to put the prices up!!!!!!! And….you want us to leave our cars at home!!!!” Mirror Online have approached both companies for comment.

It’s not the first time the star has had a grumble about the trains. A few years ago she Twitter row with Virgin over their refusal to give her a free upgrade to First Class. She was travelling to London on a £79 second class ticket this afternoon when the row began. Her first Tweet to the firm suggested they upgrade her to compensate for a disappointing £413 First Class London journey two weeks earlier.

On that occasion, she had been on her way to a charity event with a ticket paid for by her employers. To compensate her at the time, the train manager offered her Prosecco and a bunch of flowers – but this was not satisfactory. So when Virgin replied to her Tweet today refusing her request, she replied: “May I ask why when as a very regular traveller I spent £413 and got not even a hot coffee?”

Virgin Trains Tweeted back: “Are you referring to the time we offered you a bottle of champagne?” To which Denise took exception – saying it was half a bottle of Prosecco and she didn’t drink. She said her Tweet had been ‘tongue in cheek’ – but stood by her complaint.

She said: “I just think prices are absolutely ridiculous and if you pay that much money and don’t get the service you pay for they should compensate you and as financial compensation is not up for grabs then they should do something else. On that occasion, she had been on her way to a work event with a ticket paid for by her employers.

“That ticket was £413 – I didn’t pay because the journey was for a work event so work paid but that isn’t the point. That’s the price of a holiday.” She said the train manager on her disappointing journey had been ‘fantastic’. She added: “And I wasn’t kicking off, I’m not like that. But my point was that Virgin think by giving me a quarter of a bottle of Prosecco when I don’t drink, I shouldn’t be upgraded as compensation. This is not just for me but anybody who paid £413 and something has gone wrong.”

Coleen Nolan has confessed she is “obsessed” with browsing jewellery shops for diamond rings.

The Loose Women star hinted at a potential third marriage as she longingly looked at stacks of stunning rings. She is happily loved up with boyfriend Michael Jones, whom she met on dating app Tinder back in 2021. Despite getting off to a rocky start with multiple breakups, the pair are now happier than ever and recently moved in together.

It appears Coleen could be looking to the future with Michael as she stopped off at a jewellers after finishing work at ITV. She posted a video to Instagram where she gave fans a look into her life after Loose Women. Coleen paid a visit to Westfield shopping centre and admitted she got lost the last time she visited and had to use a satnav to get out.

First, she headed into a homeware shop where she browse the kitchen section. She told fans: “I am going to get all new pots and pans when I move. So excited because the ones I have got, I’ve had for about 20 years. There’s no nonstick on them.” Coleen was then distracted by pink coloured pans but quipped: “I have to remember it is not just me living on my own now, it’s mainly male orientated.”

The TV star headed to the jewellers as she told the camera: “Come here,” and starred at the rings. She insisted: “I am not saying I am getting engaged or married but if I was, I am obsessed with looking at diamond rings. They’re a bit expensive these lot.” Coleen added: “I am not going in,” as she cheekily headed into the shop.

Fans reacted to her nod at a potential marriage as one asked: “Do your sisters need to buy a hat?” Another said: “I’m giggling thinking @michaeljones.64 was filming that as you looked at diamonds…” Someone else commented: “I’m always looking at rings, just need more fingers x.”

Earlier this year Coleen revealed how she is living with boyfriend Michael as well as her ex-husband Ray Fensome. Her ex played guitar for her on her recent tour. Speaking to Women magazine, Coleen said: “While we’ve been rehearsing, Ray’s been staying here because he lives in Leeds and we’re rehearsing near me. It’s so nice to go through everything we went through.” The singer went on to say that her boyfriend gets on well with Ray and they actually went out for dinner and were “crying with laughter”.

Despite eying up rings, Coleen has insisted she has ruled out marrying Michael – unless he signs a pre-nuptial agreement. She explained during a recent podcast: “I think Michael would very much like to get married at some point. If it meant a lot to him, maybe I would, but I’d bloody make him sign a great big piece of paper before I did, because I’m not going through that again. I’ve looked into it. 100 per cent. It’s sorted from there and it’s a reference point; no-one thinks they’re going to split up.”

Coleen added: “I’ve always been against prenups, because I find them really unromantic and very much like you’re going into it going: ‘Well, it probably won’t work, so sign this.’” She told podcast host Kaye Adams that her 2018 divorce from Ray had made her wary. She said: “Hopefully it will work and we’ll never have to look at that piece of paper again, but what I went through on my last divorce I don’t ever want to go through again. Even though I didn’t hate Ray, there were times when I was going: ‘Oh my God, this is so unfair.’”

The 56-year-old presenter started to noticeably struggle with his words during a report towards the end of the news programme on Friday and straight after the show, Rageh was rushed to hospital where he immediately received treatment. It remains unconfirmed as to the nature of his illness but experts believe that he was showing early signs of a mini-stroke, called ca transient ischaemic attack (TIA).

Charlene has taken umbrage at the number of people who have been sharing the video of Rageh falling ill, with many making wild assumptions as to what happened before any reports that he was suffering with medical difficulties. The Loose Women star hit out, writing on Instagram and X, formerly known as Twitter : “How about everyone stops posting and re-posting a video of a man becoming unwell live on TV. Who does that benefit? Sometimes real life isn’t just about upping your engagement figures, and upping your likes”.

Her feelings were echoed by her fellow Loose Women panellist, Denise Welch, who commented on Charlene’s post, writing: “My thoughts exactly Charlene. Honestly this world [angry face emojis].” Denise’s comment prompted another to add their disgust that Rageh was not taken off air to receive immediate attention. They wrote: “Totally agree with you both but where was ITV’s duty of care for the poor bloke. They should have cut the stream or went to a break immediately to get him medical attention. It’s not like it was a coughing fit etc.”

A ITV News source told Mail on Sunday that the producers were trying to replace Rageh but he wanted to complete delivering the news: “The programme team were trying to replace him when they realised there was a problem. They sent the standby presenter to the set to take over but he insisted on remaining on air. No-one could get him out of his chair. He refused to move. Even when he was told he had to go and that the team had called for medical help. Everyone did everything they could to help him. Rageh is a consummate professional. He was determined to finish what he had started. It was an awful, awful night.”

Rageh was discharged the following day and is spending time at home recovering with his family. The mini-stroke condition, TIA, is caused by a temporary disruption in the blood supply to part of the brain caused by a travelling blood clot or the “furring” of the arteries.

Fiona Clark, who is a staff nurse, said she called ITV at 10.30pm and informed them that “as an ICU nurse who worked in stroke, that Rageh Omaar required an emergency ambulance, he was dysphasic, drooped left eye, slurred speech and agitated all Fast symptoms.”

Coleen Nolan has shared the worst thing about travelling on the London Underground.

The Loose Women star took to Instagram as she was so “offended”. Sharing a clip of herself on the Tube, she asked her 357,000 followers: “I know the Tube is really quick and very handy – but why does it have to be so loud? It’s so loud.”

Covering her ears as the Tube got going, Coleen continued: “Put some oil on it because it’s honestly bursting my ear drums. I can’t stand it. I have noise, what’s that thing, about loud noises? I have that. It’s not a phobia, but it really offends me.” Over the top of the clip she tagged Transport for London and wrote: “Love the Tube, but please sort the sound. Love Col xx.”

Earlier on in the day when she appeared on the Loose Women panel the 59-year-old opened up about her own terrifying stalker experience as her and her fellow hosts discussed new Netflix show Baby Reindeer. The show follows the real life story of Richard Gadd, who was stalked by a woman and sent hundreds of messages and correspondence after meeting in a pub.

Coleen explained that her and her siblings had been stalked during their singing career but she was also left terrified when the police feared she would personally be targeted by someone else after their release from prison.

Describing the experience as the “scariest thing”, she shared: “They were worried I was going to be [stalked]. So they found out someone who was about to be released, who was obsessed, and six months before, they came to me and said they think this is going to happen. They had this amazing person, who gave me advice about what I should do.

“It was really, really scary – and you do have that constant looking over your shoulder. It was the scariest thing and it happened obviously a few times within my career. Me and my sisters had a really scary guy that was stalking us.”

She added: “He had this thing that we were all married to him. He’d kick off when he found out we had boyfriends and he’d threaten to put a bomb in one of the theatres we were in, and the bomb squad came out and actually caught him. There was another part of me – and he had severe mental health issues – there was an element with me where [I sympathised with him].”

Paul O’Grady’s widow Andre Portasio also appeared on Tuesday afternoon’s show in his first TV appearance since the much-loved presenter’s shock death at the age of 67 last year. Discussing how he had been coping since Paul died, Andre said: “I love watching him and to me, now I’m sort of accepting he’s gone. It took me quite a long time to get to this position I think.“To begin with, it was really a shock. I stayed in the house. I was getting letters and flowers and it was too overwhelming. In hindsight now, I see how much it has really helped me and the support, and I want to thank everyone that wrote to me. It was just the kindness of everyone that will stay with me forever.”

The Loose Women panellist was seething this Monday, May 6, when Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth II and to King Charles III before he was crowned last year, was in the studio to speak about the monarch’s cancer battle.

But while the conversation began smoothly, it inevitably took a turn when Dickie addressed the elephant in the room – can the monarch ever repair his strained relationship with his son, Prince Harry?

Royal fans will recall the latter snubbed life as a senior working royal alongside his wife Meghan for a fresh start across the Atlantic and the Duchess of Sussex has been more criticised than ever before since.

Meghan also faced a wave of criticism when she was first rumoured to be dating Prince Harry in 2016 and the couple have publicly condemned the negative media scrutiny they have both received, personally, as a couple and as parents for their two children, Archie and Lilibet.

For Denise, Meghan and Harry’s decision to leave Windsor and Frogmore Cottage behind was nothing short of logical and tensions emerged at lightning speed as she vehemently defended them – calling Dickie out for his own criticism of Meghan Markle.

“If I may say, do you not think there is a reason why Harry did such a thing?”, the 65-year-old initially asked, referring to the Duke’s decision to leave the UK for the US.

Denise then summarised the heartbreak surrounding King Charles III’s family, wounds first stemming from the monarch’s marriage with Lady Diana “when he was in love with Camilla.”

“It ruined a lot of Diana’s life”, Denise claimed. She then recalled how a young Prince Harry witnessed his mother’s death after a fatal car chase with paparazzi before he was forced to walk publicly behind her coffin and accept Queen Camilla as his stepmother.

“Then he has a wife who is completely and continually trashed by the media, including your good self”, Denise added while turning to Dickie, while some audience members began to applaud her. “I am just sick to death of the bashing that this woman gets (…) we continually berate this woman every day.”

When Dickie argued that the Sussexes have received criticism over their choice to leave the Royal Family, Denise furiously doubled down: “Why would they not walk out? Why would they want to spend their life in a country that hated them?”

Coleen Nolan quickly intervened to stop the situation from escalating, reminding the panellist that she hadn’t expected a “debate” to take place in the studio. But Denise continued to seethe as she added: “don’t have a guest on (…) I can say what I like!”

The segment left many ITV viewers with their jaws dropped as they swarmed over to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts. “Well done Denise, you wiped the floor with Dickie. Thankyou for not being scared to be a voice for H@M”, one of them commented.

Another agreed: “Makes me laugh that people are saying Denise isn’t nice for standing up for Meghan and Harry, yet it’s fine for so many “nice” people to have s****** them off for the past 6+ yrs”, just as a third applauded the panellist for her strong stance: “Well said Denise, you are the voice of fairness and reason.”

However, one TV watcher predicted a reprimand was ahead for Denise due to Coleen’s intervention. “I think Denise is going to be getting a firm talking to when @loosewomen is off air! However if she is passionate about a subject why shut her down? I thought #LooseWomen promotes strong women and opinions?”

The 43-year-old lunchtime talkshow panelist has been a regular member of the Loose Women line-up since 2020. On Sunday night, Judi, 64-year-old Lorraine and a string of other huge stars of the small screen gathered together at London’s Royal Festival Hall to sit through the 2024 British Academy Television Awards ceremony.

Acting and presenting talent from major shows including Happy Valley, I’m A Celebrity and Succession were up for awards – with the change of winning statuettes and the admiration and congratulations of their peers. However, some fans have been left wondering if there is beef between ITV stars Judi and Lorraine as cameras cut to the Loose Women star as the early morning TV host made an acceptance speech after being crowned the winner of the BAFTA Special Award.

The gong was awarded to her for her outstanding contribution to the television industry – as she has been on screens for four decades as of this year. Lorraine was handed her award by Brian Cox – and was cheered on by the theatre full of stars.

But as cameras moved to Judi, she could be seen looking far from impressed, was seemingly refusing to applaud, and rolling her eyes. The moment was seized upon by those watching the awards show from home – sparking a flurry of amused commentary.

Another gasped online: “I’m with Judi.” While some suggested Judi’s reaction was down to Lorraine’s well known ‘part time’ approach to appearing on her own daily show.

Saira Khan, the former Loose Women panellist, has opened up about her time on the show, why she decided to leave, and the friendships she maintains post-exit in a candid chat. In an exclusive with Woman’s Own magazine, the one-time Apprentice star who shot to fame as the runner-up in the inaugural 2005 series reflected on her stint from 2015 to 2020 on the panel of the hit daytime TV show.

Recently, a royal expert also claimed that the couple will also look towards earning money from the coronation event and maybe even film it for profit. “King Charles as a father would certainly like his youngest son there but let me tell you there has been no personal conversation between Charles for months, there’s been no contact with Prince William for longer than a few months now,” the royal expert said.
