Emmerdale star Danny Miller hits back at trolls after wife breastfed baby on live TV

Emmerdale’s Danny Miller has hit back at trolls after they slammed his wife Steph for breastfeeding their baby during the family’s appearance on Loose Women

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has hit back at trolls after his wife Steph breastfed their baby on live TV.

The actor, who is best known for his role as Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, responded to the backlash his wife faced after their appearance on Friday’s Loose Women. The couple were on the daytime show to discuss the difficulties they faced falling pregnant, as Steph, who is a midwife, suffers from polycystic ovaries (PCOS), which can lead to fertility problems. However, some viewers found issue with the fact Steph decided to feed unsettled baby Edith on the Loose Women panel.

Danny has since made his thoughts very clear as he responded on social media. He wrote: “We had such a beautiful day today down @loosewomen talking all about life as a family of four and having two under two! I wanted to take this moment to say how incredibly proud I am of my wife @stephjones1710 – the most incredible Mother – for flying the breastfeeding flag and showing how when it’s needed, nothing comes before it.

“I bloody love this woman. In absolute awe of her. Breastfeeding is completely normal and natural. It’s food. It’s responding to the babies needs. It really is that simple. And whenever they need it, they should have it. Regardless of the situation. Including live television. I hope that Edith needing exactly that helps towards normalising breastfeeding wherever and whenever.”

In response, one fan said: “I was watching this afternoon and I literally thought ‘yes girl’ then thought ‘I bet some Karen has something to say about that’ but why should that thought even have crossed my mind?? I hope that there aren’t any negative comments or responses!! Lots of love a fellow midwife.” Danny replied: “Wasting their time if they do mate they just get deleted. You midwives are cut from a different cloth! Thank you for everything you do. All the love to you and yours and have a great weekend!”

Other fans shared their support for Steph as someone wrote: “Was a breath of fresh air seeing a mother feeding her child! It’s the most natural thing in the world ! Well done Steph ! Wish there was more women with this much strength to do this in general never mind on national Tv!” Another added: “After recently being sniggered at in a small cafe for feeding my 2 month old baby I have to say it totaly made me uncomfortable to feed in public again. Watching this gave me the motivation to feel confident to feed out of the house again.”

On the show, Steph, who had an intense water birth at home, introduced her daughter to the panellists and audience, and realising her daughter needed feeding, she discreetly began breastfeeding the newborn while Danny had their two-year-old son Albert on his knee. Emmerdale star Danny explained how they had navigated the emotional turmoil they faced when trying to get pregnant, and he realised his job was just to support Steph as she was given the fertility drug Clomid to help her get pregnant.

“That’s my role to be there for my partner Steph and that’s all I ever wanted to do was just support her the best I could and I think supporting each other through it worked, you know once you’ve got a shoulder to cry on,” he sweetly shared. Steph also spoke about her home birth with Edith, and said it was “amazing” as she recalled the intense 36-minute labour. “We had a home birth at my mum’s house as we were in the process of moving again and my mum was decorating her bedroom so it was empty. We put the pool up in mum’s room and it was amazing,” she said.

Loose Women star throws support behind Alison Hammond after Phil and Holly snub

Loose Women star Judi Love has called for TV bosses to ‘award’ Alison Hammond after it was announced she’s been nominated for Best Presenter for the first time

Judi Love has offered her support to pal Alison Hammond, who this year has been nominated for Best Presenter at the NTAs.

Her nomination comes after This Morning host Holly Willoughby and her former co-star Phillip Schofield have been snubbed in the category. While the former best friends are normally firm favourites, they have faced a string of controversies in recent years following allegations they skipped the queue for the late Queen Elizabeth’s lying in state.

More recently, Phil announced his departure from the programme after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger male colleague on the show. Holly, who hosted alongside Schofield from 2009 onwards, has continued to present the show with a series of co-stars, while MPs have called on ITV bosses to address claims of toxicity and bullying behind the scenes.

Since Phil’s departure, Alison who was a relief presenter on a Friday has stepped in alongside Holly on numerous occasions and has been a huge hit with viewers. Now, Loose Women’s Judi has called for Alison to walk away with the award.

Writing in her OK! Magazine column, the comic said: “My gosh, does she deserve this! I’m ready to give her a standing ovation. My girl Alison is up for Best Presenter at this year’s National Television Awards and I couldn’t be more proud of her.” Judi went on to write: “I love her interviews with Hollywood stars – they’re iconic. Award this queen!”

This year, Loose Woman has been nominated for Best Daytime TV Show and will be going head to head with This Morning. However, Judi believes she and her co-stars may be in with a strong chance of taking the trophy home. “I think we’re in with a real chance this year,” she said before adding: “Let’s hope we can bring it home. I can’t wait to walk that red carpet with my ladies.”

But while Judi is certain that she and the Loose Women stars will win, This Morning staff believe that their nomination is “two fingers” to their critics. Sources told the Mirror that they are “very grateful” that viewers are standing by them. They added: “We’d love to win especially for our fantastic producers and crew who have been making programmes every day despite all the troubles and unfair criticism that was thrown at a show they’re proud to work on.”

Last year, the programme received a mixed reaction as it won the NTA for Best Daytime Show for the fifth year in a row on October 1.

Prince Harry gave an update on his two kids during a virtual meeting with a four-year-old and his family.

The Duke of Sussex connected with winners of this year’s WellChild Awards, including Henry Waines, 4, and his parents, Shevonne and Ben. During the video call—a clip of which was released today—Harry told the boy that they share the same first name.

“My name is Henry. Well, everyone calls me Harry. I have no idea why,” the duke, whose birth name is Henry Charles Albert David, said.

The WellChild Awards—which celebrate the inspirational qualities of the U.K.’s seriously ill children and those who help make a difference in their lives—were held in Manchester, England, last month, but Harry and wife Duchess Meghan could not attend as they were taking part in the ceremonies honoring Queen Elizabeth II following her death.

At the event, Henry received the Inspirational Child Award for ages four to six. During their recent call, Harry apologized that he wasn’t able to be there to watch Henry accept his prize, but the boy assured the duke that it was “all right.”

“You sound just like my son, Archie, with that little squeaky voice. I love it,” Harry told him.

Henry then asked Harry how his kids, son Archie, 3, and daughter Lilibet, 1, are doing.

“Archie is very, very busy. And Lili is learning to use her voice, which is great,” Harry replied.

Meghan and Harry married in May 2018 and welcomed Archie in May 2019. Lilibet—named after Queen Elizabeth II—was born in June 2021.

  • Buckingham Palace confirms prince, princess titles for Prince Harry, Meghan’s kids

Buckingham Palace confirms prince, princess titles for Prince Harry, Meghan’s kids

Prince Harry and Meghan’s children Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor are now using their official royal titles of prince and princess, respectively.

Archie, who will turn 4 in May, and Lili, who turns 2 in June, came into the titles when their grandfather King Charles III took the throne in September, following the death of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.

It was not known though whether Harry, fifth in line to the throne, and Meghan would use the titles for their children. The Sussexes stepped down from their roles as senior working royals in 2020 and now live in Montecito, California.

The question of titles was answered on Wednesday when a spokesperson for the Sussexes confirmed that Harry and Meghan hosted a christening for Lili. In the statement, the spokesperson used Lili’s princess title.

“I can confirm that Princess Lilibet Diana was christened on Friday, March 3 by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Rev John Taylor,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

By Thursday, the royal family’s official website had been updated with the new titles, listing Harry and Meghan’s children as Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes also said in a new statement Thursday, “The children’s titles have been a birthright since their grandfather became Monarch. This matter has been settled for some time in alignment with Buckingham Palace.”

The three children of Harry’s older brother Prince William — George, Charlotte and Louis — have always used the titles of prince and princess as William is the heir to the throne.

George, Charlotte and Louis are second, third and fourth in line to the throne, respectively, while Archie is sixth in line to the throne, right behind his father, and Lilibet is seventh in line to the throne.

Harry and Meghan’s decision to use prince and princess titles for Archie and Lili comes even as they have distanced themselves from their official royal roles.

In his bombshell memoir “Spare,” released in January, Harry spoke openly about his rift with his father and brother, saying the “divide” with his family, “couldn’t be greater before this book.”

Still, he also spoke of his hope for a reconciliation with his family, saying that hope is what pushed him to speak out.

“If we can get to the point of reconciliation, that will have a ripple effect across the world,” Harry told “Good Morning America” co-anchor Michael Strahan in an interview before the book’s release. “I genuinely believe that, and that’s kind of what is pushing me. And if that doesn’t happen, then that’s very sad.”

Neither Kensington Palace — the office of William and Kate, the Princess of Wales — nor Buckingham Palace, the office of Charles and Camilla, the Queen Consort, have commented on the claims Harry made in “Spare.”

Members of the royal family are not believed to have attended Lili’s christening last week in California.

With her birth in 2021, Lili made history as the first senior royal baby born in the United States, and the first great-grandchild of the queen to be born outside of the United Kingdom.

She is also the first senior royal baby to be christened in the U.S. Her brother Archie and their three cousins, George, Charlotte and Louis, were all christened in the U.K.

Harry and Meghan revealed in their Netflix docuseries last year that they asked Perry to be Lili’s godfather after establishing a close bond with him when they moved to the U.S. in March 2020 and stayed temporarily in Perry’s Los Angeles mansion.

In the docuseries, Perry described the moment Harry and Meghan asked him to be Lili’s godfather. The Sussexes have not publicly released the name of the toddler’s godmother.

“They said, ‘Well, we’d like for you to be Lili’s godfather.’ I go, ‘Whoa.’ I had to take a minute to take that in,” Perry said in “Harry & Meghan. “And I thought, ‘I’d be honored. I’d absolutely be honored.’”

Prince Harry shares sweet update about his and Meghan’s children

Prince Harry has shared a sweet update about his and wife Meghan Markle’s children, Archie, four, and Lilibet, two.

The Duke of Sussex opened up about his family life during an interview with Good Morning America on 16 February, while he and Meghan were in Whistler, Canada, meeting athletes at the Blackcomb resort in British Columbia in preparation for the 2025 Winter Invictus Games. During the conversation, he was asked how he was doing as a parent, to which he jokingly responded: “I can’t tell you that, it’s classified…Top secret.”

He then clarified that his children are “doing great,” before describing some of the things he loves about being a father.

“The kids are growing up like all kids do, very, very fast,” he said. “They’ve both got an incredible sense of humour and make us laugh and keep us grounded every single day, like most kids do. So, I’m just very grateful to be a dad.”

This isn’t the first time that the duke has spoken candidly about his children. While speaking to Today’s Hoda Kotb in 2022, during the fifth Invictus Games, Harry shared what he loved the most about fatherhood.

“All of it. The chaos, the learning, the reminder of just every element of yourself, your soul,” he said at the time.

While once again emphasising that he loves “every part” of being a parent, he also noted that he “always wanted to be a dad,” even before he welcomed his children.

“I’ve always wanted to have my own kids, and now I got two little people who I’m responsible for,” he said.

During the recent Good Morning America interview, Harry also opened up about living in the US, noting that it’s “amazing” and that he “loves every day of it”. He then acknowledged that while he doesn’t necessarily feel American, he’s still “considered” becoming an American citizen.

“American citizenship is a thought that has crossed my mind but not a high priority right now,” he said.

Harry left the UK in 2020, shortly after he and Meghan decided to step back as senior members of the royal family. They now live in Montecito, California, with their children.

Elsewhere in the Good Morning America interview, Harry opened up about his father King Charles’s cancer diagnosis, after travelling to London to see him for a 30-minute meeting, a day after the news of the health diagnosis was made public. He specified that he learned about Charles’ illness through speaking to him, before he “jumped on a plane” to see his father “as soon as [he] could”.

“I love my family. The fact that I was able to get on a plane and go and see him and spend any time with him, I’m grateful for that,” he said.

When asked if Charles’ cancer diagnosis could “reunify” the royal family, Harry responded: “Yeah, I’m sure. Throughout all these families, I see it on a day-to-day basis, the strength of the family unit coming together. I think any illness, any sickness brings families together.”

Regarding how he’s “processed” everything going on with his family, while living in California, he explained that he’s been focused on his wife and children. However, he still acknowledged that he’ll make the time to see his family in the UK.

“I have my own family, as we all do,” he said. “So my family and my life in California is as it is. I’ve got other trips planned that would take me through the UK or back to the UK, and so I’ll stop in and see my family as much as I can.”

Meghan Markle’s feud with Beckhams deepens by giving exclusion orders to Prince Harry

Meghan Markle has taken her feud with David Beckham and Victoria Beckham to the next level after giving an exclusion order to Prince Harry.

As per GB News, author Tom Bower claimed in his book The House of Beckham: Money, Sex and Power, that the he Duchess of Sussex forbade Prince Harry from taking pictures with David Beckham at an Invictus Games function out of concern that it would overshadow them.

The author stated, “Beckham found himself alone at the Invictus Games stadium.

He continued, “Arriving on the agreed day to meet Prince Harry he was perplexed [as to] why officials were playing a dance to keep him happy, but away from Harry.”

The author revealed, “Photographs of the two together were forbidden. The royal snub was brutal. David Beckham was puzzled.

Bower further noted, “The exclusion order, it later transpired, was issued by Meghan.

He also mentioned the Suits alum “did not want any competition in the media from Beckham, and especially not from his wife Victoria.”

To note, even though Victoria Beckham and David Beckham attended Harry and Meghan’s royal wedding in May 2018, they are no longer on speaking terms with the Sussexes.

Loose Women star claims Prince William’s ‘misstep’ could impact monarchy’s future

Loose Women panellist Jane Moore slammed Prince William’s decision not to attend the Women’s World Cup Final in Australia to support the Lionesses in the competition

Loose Women star Jane Moore has called out Prince William’s World Cup “misstep”, suggesting it could potentially throw the monarchy into jeopardy.

The Prince of Wales recently issued an apology to the Lionesses for missing the Women’s World Cup Final in Australia, a move that has sparked backlash. Jane has claimed that William’s absence from the World Cup was a significant “misstep” that could have far-reaching implications for the monarchy’s future.

The English women’s team faced a heartbreaking defeat in the nail-biting final against Spain on Sunday, losing by a slim margin of 1-0. Despite the team’s loss, Jane argued that William should have been front row and centre, showing his support for the women’s team.

She questioned: “But why the hell didnt William hop on a flight with his young daughter and go in person to the game?”

The 61 year old presenter suggested that the sight of the royals cheering from the stands would not only have been a great PR boost for the monarchy but also a positive gesture towards Australia, where debates continue over whether to abandon the monarchy and become a republic.

Jane added in her column for The Sun: “His absence was a rare misstep by our future King. After all, whats the point of the monarchy if they don’t turn up for such an important event on the world stage?”

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Royal expressed his regret for not being able to support the England team in person. She conveyed her heartfelt message saying: “Lionesses, we want to send you a huge good luck for tomorrow. Were sorry we cant be there in person, but were so proud of everything you’ve achieved and the millions you’ve inspired here and around the world. So go out there tomorrow and really enjoy yourselves.”

Princess Charlotte, clutching a football while seated next to her father, chimed in with a simple yet sincere: “Good luck, Lionesses.”

Despite England’s disappointing 1-0 defeat on Sunday, William took to X to express his pride, tweeting: “Although its the result none of us wanted, @Lionesses you have done yourselves and this nation proud. Your spirit & drive have inspired so many people and paved the way for generations to come. Thank you for the footballing memories. Congratulations to Spain. W”

However, some critics were quick to point out that William, who is not only the heir to the throne but also the President of the FA, should have been present at the clash against Spain. They speculated that his attendance might have been guaranteed had it been the mens team playing.

However, many appeared unimpressed, with one remarking “A letter? what a joke”, and another adding: “Big deal… he should be there.”

Former England goalkeeper Pauline Cope voiced her disappointment over William’s absence, branding it a shame and stating: “This should have been pencilled in his diary from day dot, after we won the Euros and qualified for the World Cup.”Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer, who jetted off to Australia alongside Foreign Secretary James Cleverly to witness the match, defended the royal’s absence. She stated: “Prince William, as we all know, is not just a figurehead but the president of the FA and an ardent supporter of the sport. I am aware that he’s disappointed about his inability to be present on 23, Aug 2023 but he has conveyed a message of good luck to the Lionesses.”

Carol McGiffin’s brutal four-word verdict on Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes’ split

TV personality Carol McGiffin has expressed her upset after finding out about Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes’ shock split as the couple start divorce proceedings

Carol McGiffin is known for being somewhat opinionated and has candidly spoken about her personal life at length over the years.

But in a recent interview, she seemed to take on a more reserved approach when asked her feelings on Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes’ recent split.

The presenter, 64, who quit Loose Women last April, said she was left upset over the breakdown of the couple’s 14 year marriage, and simply told OK!: “I love them both.” But as yet, the TV personality is yet to reach out to her pals as she did not want to add further “noise” to the public furore surrounding their decision.

She continued to tell the publication: “It’s always sad when a relationship breaks up. But it’s sadder when you’re so in the public eye. It’s really hard. Everyone’s speculating, everyone has a theory. I’d put everything I own on the fact that a lot of it is b******s.” She then added: “I feel for them both in that respect.

“I love them both, I’ve worked with them both, been at parties with them both. It’s really sad but I haven’t, as they say, ‘reached out’ to Ruth yet. She’ll be inundated and won’t want to hear from me, right now! I’ll send her a message when I know what’s really going on, not before. Otherwise, you’re just adding to the noise.”

The TV couple, who appeared together on This Morning, and were fan favourites for many years as a duo, announced their split in May. And at this year’s TRIC Awards, Eamonn finally broke his silence as it was his first public appearance since the announcement. He said he is “not ok” and it’s “not a good time at all” for him. He added: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”

At the time, a joint statement was released that read: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.” However, news recently emerged that Eamonn was being comforted by his pal Katie Alexander, who is a mum of three. And according to reports, she has visited the father of four at his new home in south-west London, after moving out of the Surrey pad he shared with Ruth.

This comes after Ruth reportedly found messages between her husband and a mystery woman on his laptop. A source told The Sun on Sunday at the time: “Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages. She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated. Not only was she very upset but she was also angry.”

Ruth was recently spotted on a night out as she attended Anton du Beke and Giovanni Pernice’s show. Her night out comes after a source told the Mirror: “She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn’t want to be seen as a marriage wrecker. The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn’s marriage has been over for some time.” They added: “She wants to help Eamonn with his situation and their friendship has grown over a period of time. She feels she will be close to him for a long period and is in this for the long haul.”

Alison Hammond publicly supports Phillip Schofield as his return to This Morning teased

Alison Hammond has shown support to her former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield, amid reports the star could be making his return to TV

This Morning star Alison Hammond appears to have shown her support to Phillip Schofield amid reports the TV star is tipped to return to his former hosting gig.

The disgraced TV presenter quit his role last year following a bombshell confession, where he admitted to an “unwise, but not illegal” relationship with a former colleague. Following a year-long absence from social media, the 62-year-old former Dancing on Ice host returned to posting on his page last month, showing off pictures of his adorable dog Alfie.

Just yesterday (Sunday, 9) the presenter shared another snap of his pooch from his living room, joking: “Not sure where rug ends and Alfie begins!!” Fans were quick to comment on his hilarious post, with one of his followers writing: “Where’s Wally?” Phillip also appeared to have gained the trust of former This Morning co-star Alison Hammond, 49, who liked his post.

The post comes amid reports of poor rating figures for This Morning, as viewers switch off following fan favourite duo Phillip and Holly Willoughby quitting the show. Back in March, it was announced that Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley would be replacing the duo the pair but they have since reportedly “failed to connect with audiences.” Viewing figures are said to have dropped significantly over the last two months, leading to “crisis talks” among bosses and job cuts across the network.

Viewing figures showed they got off to a good start however interest has since dropped, and in May, peak viewing figures fell to 589,000 – with an average of 486,000, according to The Sun. A spokesperson for This Morning hit back at the claims and told The Mirror: “Ben and Cat have recorded the best audience reach of the year so far on This Morning with 4.5 million viewers across one week.”

However, it has now been said that Phillip’s return could help boost the programme. A PR and crisis management expert has argued that Phil is destined for a comeback in the near future. Ed told The Mirror: “Schofield has always proven himself to be popular. He’s now proven himself to be flexible and disciplined.

“Attributes that will be absolutely crucial for the likes of ITV in the years ahead, and attributes that ITV showed a total lack of in the way that they handled the initial scandal. To put it simply: ITV needs Schofield a whole lot more than Schofield needs ITV.”

On Wednesday’s instalment of This Morning, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were informing ITV viewers what they could expect from the show – but Cat was left red-faced

This Morning host Ben Shephard wasted no time in scolding his co-star Cat Deeley on Wednesday morning.

It comes as the two ITV stars were informing viewers on what they can expect throughout the show as the episode kicked off.

As they both planned on speaking with actress Sherrie Hewson, Cat said: “She’s best known for playing Corrie’s Maureen Holdsworth but now Sherrie Hewson is making history in Hollyoaks as she becomes the show’s oldest serial killer.

“She’s going to kill me for saying this at 73, she’ll be joining us live.” Ben chuckled as Cat revealed their guest’s age before jokingly snapping at her.

He quipped: “Don’t reveal the age of a serial killer! Are you mad?!” Cat replied: “Why on earth did I do that?!”

In an episode which aired earlier this week, he couldn’t help but make a swipe at her husband when they were speaking about this year’s winner of the world’s ugliest dog. The pooch, called Wild Than, is an eight-year-old Pekingese who has been left with permanent damages after catching a virus as a puppy.
