The former Love Island contestant has shared the exciting news that she has been cast as a panellist on long-running ITV show Loose Women where she will be sharing her thoughts and opinions

Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood has announced her latest job position – as a panellist on long-running ITV daytime talk show Loose Women.

The 32-year-old reality star – who was a contestant on Love Island back in 2017 – has appeared as a guest on the daytime panel show in the past. But now she has been upgraded to being a panellist herself, rather than a guest speaker.

Fans tuning in to Loose Women will see Liv sitting alongside other well known faces where she will share her insights, opinions and experiences relating to the biggest headlines of the day. And it seems the star – who recently tied-the-knot with footballer Bradley Dack – is very excited about her new appointment.

Taking to Instagram on Monday ahead of her Tuesday show appearance, Olivia let the cat out the bag. Sharing a snap of herself backstage at ITV studios, the reality star shared her exciting news with her fans and social media followers.

She wrote alongside her photo: “Guys your gal is back on @loosewomen tomorrow… but this time as a … panellist!!” She highlighted that she will be on the show from the 12:30pm start time and urged her fans to tune in to watch her.

Olivia has segued into presenting roles since she appeared on Love Island six years ago. She has helmed her own documentary series titled Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich, surprising fans and critics with her sharp investigative skills.

And she has also appeared in other reality shows including The Only Way Is Essex and Celebs Go Dating. While her personal life with Bradley has been shared via the ITVBe shows Olivia Meets Her Match and the upcoming wedding special Olivia Married Her Match.

Fans were excited last year when Olivia was cast as a contestant on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! But they were left crestfallen when she was forced to pull out of the reality show after less than 24 hours due to health reasons.

Olivia has hinted that she could return to the jungle this year instead. She said recently: “We’ve had chats. I was having great fun. I loved it, I think that’s what made it harder [when I had to leave].

“I was gutted because it was always a dream of mine to do the show. They said they weren’t going to do the Love Island crossover, so it was huge for me. You know when you put something high on a pedestal of things you want to do.”

“If we can make it work with other stuff, I would love to – especially for the viewers.”

NDubz star Tulisa Contostavlos was sent well wishes by the Loose Women stars after cancelling her appearance on the show.

Tulisa was expected to appear on today’s episode of Loose Women but half way through the show, lead panellist Kaye Adams revealed that Tulisa wouldn’t be able to make it on the programme today as she was unwell.

Kaye paused the show to send the Loose Women’s best wishes to Tulisa and confirmed she’d be on the show sometime soon. Announcing she wouldn’t be there, Kaye said they were hoping she’d make a speedy recovery.

Whilst she wasn’t able to make it onto Loose Women today, Tulisa did appear on Good Morning Britain alongside her bandmates Fazer and Dappy earlier this month, where she chatted about their new music, describing it as a “masterpiece”.

Speaking about the possibility of collaborating with Little Mix, who she helped mentor when they were on the X Factor, she said: “I would love to, it’s not something we’ve talked about’. I am still in touch with them, I just talked to Leigh-Anne now before I came on and said ‘there’s a launch party tonight do you want to come?’”

Recently, she gave an interview to The Guardian about her rise to fame and tough childhood.

“I expected fame to be glorious and there are parts of it that are still amazing to this day. But I think the kind of fame that you experience depends on what sort of character you are, how out there your personal life is. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for me, but I wouldn’t change any of it,” she recalled of her experience of success.

She also opened up about her own health battles including her Bell’s palsy diagnosis.

She explained: “I was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy four years ago and I’m learning to live with it. I’ve got chronic pain and inflammation down the whole left side of my body as well as in my face and in my kneecap.

“Steroids reduce the inflammation. On one occasion an attack felt as if I was having a stroke. I spent seven months hiding, drinking out of a straw – I couldn’t move one side of my face. Experts have yet to find out the root cause.”

During an appearance on Loose Women today, Linda seemingly referenced her reported marriage struggles as she opened up about her weekend. In the past, she explained things weren’t “plain sailing” at the moment but noted there were “hiccups in every marriage”.

In a chat about her weekend on the programme today, Linda revealed she took herself out for dinner as all the kids had flown the next and the only people she was home with was her dog and her husband, before she added: “Notice the order!” She had mentioned her pet pooch before her husband, making the other Loose Women stars break out in hysterics. Linda previously spoke out about the rumours, insisting that claims they had split were “rubbish”.

“That’s a load of rubbish. We’re still living together. We both love our kids more than anything else in the world, obviously you have a few hiccups in every marriage,” Linda shared of her marriage situation at present as she discussed the rumours circulating, “We’ve been married 33 years so it’s not going to be all plain sailing, but we’re still together at the moment.”

During a separate chat on Loose Women, Linda admitted her and her husband hadn’t had sex in two years.

“Can I just say I’ve been celibate for two years?” she said, “I can’t be a**** with all that [romance stuff]. I’m just happy going out with my mates and my children and my grandchildren. If I’ve got three or four days off work, I’ll just go to Mallorca. I’ll get a flight out there. Stay in a hotel hopefully full of Germans so no-one will recognise me and just have a nice relaxing time. I just love sitting on the sun bed, round the pool, on the beach, reading a book. I would like to take a cruise round the world on my own.”

Today, Linda also revealed she had been at the hospital getting her knee checked out following a holiday injury. She confirmed she was seen very quickly and felt fine, before being taken to work so she could be on the show today.

ESPN is standing firm in its decision to honor Prince Harry with the Pat Tillman Award for Service at this month’s ESPYs … doubling down and saying the Duke of Sussex is a rightful recipient of the honor.

As we previously reported, Tillman’s mother, Mary, was dissatisfied with this year’s pick for the award … saying there were plenty of lesser-known candidates that deserve some recognition — and referring to Harry as “controversial and divisive” in the process.

ESPN talent Pat McAfee also dogged the selection … claiming it felt like the network was purposely trying to strike a controversy.

The outlet got wind of all the outrage … and released a statement further explaining why Harry earned the award through all the work he’s done with his yearly sports event for injured or ill military members.

“ESPN, with the support of the Tillman Foundation, is honoring Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, specifically for the work of The Invictus Games Foundation as it celebrates its 10th year promoting healing through the power of sport for military service members and veterans around the world,” the outlet said to TMZ Sports.

“While we understand not everyone will agree with all honorees selected for any award, The Invictus Games Foundation does incredible work and ESPN believes this is a cause worth celebrating.”

Of course, Tillman left his NFL career behind to join the Army following the 9/11 attacks … and tragically died in a friendly fire incident in April 2004.

Broadcaster Channel 4 has rejected Nigel Farage claim that their undercover investigation into Reform UK’s campaign in Clacton was ‘a complete and total set-up’

Channel 4 has rejected a claim by Nigel Farage that its undercover footage of a Reform UK canvasser using racist language was a “set up”.

Party leader Mr Farage alleged on ITV’s Loose Women that their exposé was “a complete and total set-up”. He suggested Andrew Parker, who was filmed by Channel 4 on the campaign trail in Clacton, was being paid as an actor.

But the broadcaster has rejected the claim and said it strongly stands by its “rigorous and duly impartial journalism”. It denied paying Mr Parker or anyone else during its investigation. Mr Parker has also denied he was a “paid actor” set up to make Reform UK look bad. He confirmed to GB News that he is primarily a property developer and he does a small amount of acting on the side.

It comes as Rishi Sunak said he is “hurt and angry” about a Reform UK canvasser using a racial slur against him and said Mr Farage “has some questions to answer”. On a campaign visit to a school in Teesside, Mr Sunak told broadcasters: “My two daughters have to see and hear Reform people who campaign to Nigel Farage calling me an effing p***.”

When the comments were first reported Mr Farage said he was “dismayed” by them, adding that some of the language was “reprehensible”. He has since alleged that this “whole episode does not add up”.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, he said: “It was an act right from the very start.” He claimed Mr Parker, the canvasser, had been “rough speaking” and “not being himself”, adding that his racist remarks “all seemed a bit over the top”. He went on: “I have to tell you, this whole thing was a complete and total set-up, I have no doubt about that.”

Asked whether he thought Mr Parker had been paid, he said: “I don’t know whether he was paid or not.” He added: “I’m saying it’s possible, I don’t know. Something is wrong here.”

The undercover footage recorded by Channel 4 News showed Reform UK activist Andrew Parker saying the party should “kick Muslims out of mosques and turn them into Wetherspoons ”. He also said that army recruits should use asylum seekers crossing the Channel as “target practice”. And in the same conversation he used a sickening racist term to describe Mr Sunak.

Keir Starmer said he had been “shocked” by the footage, describing it as “clearly racist” and adding: “I think this is a test of leadership.” “You have to ask the question why so many people who are supporting Reform seem to be exposed in this particular way,” the Labour leader added.

Mr Sunak said: “When you see Reform candidates and campaigners seemingly using racist and misogynistic language and opinion, seemingly without challenge, I think it tells you something about the culture in the Reform party.

“Andrew Tate isn’t an important voice for men. He’s a vile misogynist. And our politics and country is better than that. As Prime Minister, but more importantly as a father of two young girls, it’s my duty to call out this corrosive and divisive behaviour.”

A spokeswoman for Channel 4 News said: “We strongly stand by our rigorous and duly impartial journalism which speaks for itself. We met Mr Parker for the first time at Reform UK party headquarters, where he was a Reform party canvasser.

“We did not pay the Reform UK canvasser or anyone else in this report. Mr Parker was not known to Channel 4 News and was filmed covertly via the undercover operation.”

In a statement to Channel 4 when the footage first came out, Mr Parker said:”I would like to make it clear that neither Nigel Farage personally or the Reform Party are aware of my personal views on immigration. I have never discussed Immigration with either Nigel Farage or the Reform Party and that any comments made by me during those recordings are my own personal views on any subject I commented on.”

He continued: “I would therefore like to apologise profusely to Nigel Farage and the Reform Party if my personal views have reflected badly on them and brought them into disrepute as this was not my intention. I offered to help the Reform Party on their canvassing as I believe that they are the only party that offer the UK voter a practical solution to the illegal immigration problem that we have in the UK.”

This year’s National Television Awards is set to take place next month, with both Holly Willoughby and her former This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield failing to bag a nomination

The National Television Awards 2023 nominations are out and some new names are up for their first gong at the O2 arena next month – including new Strictly Come Dancing contestants and a couple of famous pop stars.

This Morning will attempt to retain its title in the daytime category against The Chase, Loose Women and The Repair Shop on September 5 – the first NTAs since the show’s former host Phillip Schofield ‘s dramatic exit from the programme and ITV earlier this year.

Schofield, 61, resigned from the channel and was dropped by his talent agency YMU in May after admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger male colleague on the show. Prior to admitting the workplace affair, Schofield quit This Morning days before making the revelation. Holly Willoughby, who hosted alongside Schofield from 2009 onwards, has continued to present the show with a series of co-stars, while MPs have called on ITV bosses to address claims of toxicity and bullying behind the scenes.

Last year’s NTAs saw Schofield party without then best pal Holly, after the two presenters received a mixed reaction as This Morning won the NTA for Best Daytime Show for the fifth year in a row on October 13. Holly apparently left the star-studded ceremony early after their win – reportedly sneaking out and heading home around 10pm.

Schofield and Holly were once well known to have enjoyed an afterparty tipple in the past and presented their morning-after show hungover on a number of occasions over the years – much to the delight of viewers. However, last year’s NTAs came just weeks on from the former pals being accused of cutting in line to see the late Queen lying in state following the monarch’s death the month before.

Despite both being long-listed once again this year, neither Schofield or his one-time best friend and co-host Holly are up for the best TV presenter prize at next month’s NTAs. Geordie duo Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who have won the award a whopping 21 time, will compete against Alison Hammond, Martin Lewis, Claudia Winkleman and Bradley Walsh as they aim to be crowned the nation’s favourite TV presenter(s) once again.

Following Happy Valley’s conclusion at the start of this year, the BBC crime drama will be hoping to take home some awards too, with Sarah Lancashire and James Norton both up for honours in addition to the gripping series being nominated in the returning drama category for the final time.

Sadly, not all the stars nominated for awards will be at the star-studded ceremony in London next month, with both the late Paul O’Grady and Dame Deborah James in the running to be posthumously recognised for respective TV projects filmed prior to their death. Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford have suffered a blow as their joint TV show has been scrapped by channel bosses.

The married couple’s programme, which saw them delve into the world of luxury travel, has become the latest show to be shelved. The veteran broadcaster admitted their Channel 5 show Eamonn And Ruth How The Other Half Lives has been stalled due to the effects of the pandemic and cost of living crisis.

The show aired for five series and also had a Christmas special. Eamonn and Ruth’s luxury getaways saw them sip on the world’s most expensive cocktail, visit a £20m Regents Park apartment and even use a £100,000 hand-engraved shotgun to shoot clay pigeons. Despite attracting around 1.2million viewers, Eamonn said there were no plans to revive the series.

“Sadly, the series fell victim to the pandemic – it was just impossible to get across the world to meet very rich people – and there are no plans to revive the series now. But I do feel privileged to have been a part of it and to have met people in parts of the world that are no longer accessible,” he told The Sun.

In the show, the couple were able to meet a billionaire and his wife in Ukraine and some of Russia’s richest people. Eamonn even got the chance to fly in a Russian billionaire’s private jet. They also travelled to lavish cities including Dubai, New York, Monte Carlo, Las Vegas and Lake Como.

Launching the show back in 2016, Loose Women star Ruth said: “We always thought we were doing alright then you see this wealth beyond your wildest dreams.” Eamonn added: ” I set out to do this show thinking I wouldn’t like the people very much, thinking they’re going to be arrogant, and they really weren’t. A lot of them are self-made people. The fascination is how they made their money, how they spend it, and why when they get the money they don’t just stop working.“

Eamonn and Ruth once fronted the Friday edition of ITV show This Morning, before they were replaced in 2020. Eamonn moved on to GB News while Ruth continues to work for ITV. Back in 2021, The Mirror revealed that Eamonn and Ruth were “blindsided” at being replaced on the blue sofa, as well as “furious and upset” about the axe, but they returned the year later to cover the summer break. It was recently reported Ruth would be worried about ‘upsetting’ her husband if she were to return to This Morning.

Emmerdale star Danny Miller’s wife Steph has been praised by fans after breastfeeding live during Loose Women.

The couple appeared on the ITV daytime show on Friday as they candidly discussed the difficulties they faced falling pregnant, as Steph, who is a midwife, suffers from polycystic ovaries (PCOS), which can lead to fertility problems. However, their newborn daughter Edith could be heard crying backstage, prompting Steph’s mum to bring her out to be settled.

Steph, who had an intense water birth at home, introduced her daughter to the panellists and audience, and realising her daughter needed feeding, she discreetly began breastfeeding the newborn, while Danny had their two-year-old son Albert on his knee. Viewers were impressed by Steph’s multi-tasking skills, and heaped praise on the mum-of-two for bringing awareness to breastfeeding. “A massive well done to Steph Miller, showing how natural breastfeeding is especially on live tv,” one tweeted.

Absolutely amazing ! What an advocate! Cheered up my day no end. Enjoy your beautiful family.”

Emmerdale star Danny explained how they had navigated the emotional turmoil they faced when trying to get pregnant, and he realised his job was just to support Steph as she was given the fertility drug Clomid to help her get pregnant. “That’s my role to be there for my partner Steph and that’s all I ever wanted to do was just support her the best I could and I think supporting each other through it worked, you know once you’ve got a shoulder to cry on,” he sweetly shared.

Steph also spoke about her home birth with Edith, and said it was “amazing” as she recalled the intense 36-minute labour. “We had a home birth at my mum’s house as we were in the process of moving again and my mum was decorating her bedroom so it was empty. We put the pool up in mum’s room and it was amazing,” she said.
