Loose Women star and TV personality Sophie Morgan has shared her heartbreak after her car was broken into for a second time this year meaning she lost a valuable item

Loose Women star Sophie Morgan was left heartbroken after thieves broke into her car and stole valuable items.

The disability campaigner, 38, took to her social media to share that her £4000 wheelchair attachment was among the items taken. Sophie, who is paralysed from the waist down following a car accident, explained the equipment has “no value” to anyone else but her.

A Batec is used to make traditional wheelchairs motorised. Yet the TV personality discovered hers had been stolen after the rear windscreen of her BMW was smashed.

Alongside the picture, she wrote: “My car has been broken into AGAIN. It was parked at my friend’s house in Camden, near Regents Park for an HOUR.

“They have taken my WHEELCHAIR ATTACHMENT called a Batec. It is an essential mobility aid worth £4000. It has been stolen along with a small black suitcase filled with personal items such as clothes, shoes etc. of NO VALUE to anyone but me.

“Please, please, if anyone saw anything, please report it to the Police or DM me.” Sophie’s windscreen was completely smashed, as shattered glass surrounded the car.

Earlier this year Sophie was left fuming after her Blue Badge was stolen from her car. She explained her car was broken into whilst she was away working in America in March.

Speaking on the BBC’s disability podcast Access All, Sophie revealed: “I literally can’t describe how disabling this is. I had this rage in me at the injustice, all the frustration, the inconvenience, all of those feelings.

“I can’t drive my car without my badge as I can’t get in or out [of the vehicle] without space to get my wheelchair beside my car. And without the guarantee of a disabled space, it’s not worth the risk.”

Blue Badges are issued by local councils and allow the holders to get free or longer parking as well as using disabled spaces. Nothing else was taken from her car at the time.

Sophie was involved in a car accident in 2003, when she was just 18 and had picked up her A-level results from her boarding school, Gordonstoun, in Scotland.

Driving four friends home in her car, she veered off the road and ended up trapped beneath it, suffering severe injuries that left her paralysed from the chest down.

Sophie revealed: “I have post-traumatic stress disorder from all the things that have happened to me. And as much as I have coped very well, there are a huge number of issues that I need to work through since my car crash.”

In recent years, the presenter has been lobbying the government to implement a number of imperative legislative changes within the aviation industry in the UK as part of her RightsOnFlights campaign.

Sophie had taken a flight back to the UK from Los Angeles when she was waiting to be reunited with her wheelchair which was being kept in the hold, only to find out it had been damaged.

Katie Price has broken her silence on Loose Women, five years after she mysteriously left the show.

The OnlyFans star, 44, was a regular on the ITV daytime programme until 2018 before she quit for ‘personal reasons.’

Katie has never addressed her departure directly but did tell TikTok fans they would be waiting a long time to see her on the panel again.

During a live video, she said: “No I’m not doing Loose Women. Been there done that.”

Katie previously accused the programme of expecting her to ‘perform like a seal’.

Discussing her time on the all-female show, she told the podcast Changes With Annie Macmanus back in 2021: “I was doing Loose Women for two years. When I look back at that it makes me feel sick.

“Because those two years were bad. Bad, bad, mentally. Bad bad bad.

“But I still went out there and put on a brave face.

“I look at it and think, ‘Oh my God.’

“I look at my eyes on it and think I look dead in my eyes. Because all the drama came out.”

Katie revealed many of her biggest secrets on Loose Women, including her ex-husband Kieran’s sex addiction and her mum Amy’s tragic terminal illness.

Looking back at her time on the programme, she continued: “I feel like saying to them ‘You had me on your show when I was at my illest. But now I am fresh you wouldn’t offer me that back again. I am not saying they wouldn’t but they wouldn’t at the minute.

“You had me at my worst. You had me when mentally I was really going through it. Which is weird because some people wouldn’t have you on the show like: ‘No you are not well enough’. In fact, I wasn’t well.

“I wasn’t well but I was still able to perform like a seal.”

Katie has been candid about her struggles with her mental health, which her mum Amy alludes to in her memoir, The Last Word.

In an extract seen by The Sun, she writes: “I would watch my vulnerable, ordinary daughter Kate take off her comfy tracksuit and slippers and put on thick make-up and outrageous outfits, ready to go out into the world as Jordan.

“She’d simply say, ‘I’m off to work now Mum’ and the next day I would see photographs of her falling out of clubs drunk and playing up to the cameras.”

The Mirror has contacted ITV for comment on this story.

Prince Harry looked uncomfortable and “queasy” as Meghan Markle performed the exaggerated curtsy in the couple’s Netflix docuseries that earned her widespread backlash, but couldn’t do anything about it, a new book has claimed.

Harry and Meghan’s eponymous docuseries was released in two instalments in December 2022, breaking Netflix’s streaming record for a documentary debut and earning worldwide media coverage. It charted their fairytale romance and dramatic split from the monarchy over six bombshell-filled episodes.

While Harry & Meghan earned the couple praise from fans, several revelations sparked backlash, including Harry’s reflection that male members of the royal family tend to marry women who “fit the mold as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with.”

One of the most standout controversies from the show was prompted by Meghan, who described to viewers that she thought the expectation that she had to curtsy to Queen Elizabeth II when first meeting her was a “joke.”

“We were in the car, driving, and he’s [Harry’s] like, ‘You know how to curtsy, right?’” Meghan told viewers of the first meeting with her then-boyfriend’s grandmother. “And I just thought it was a joke.”

“I mean, Americans would understand this. We have Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament [a dinner theater]…it was like that,” she added, going on to perform an exaggerated bow while saying the words “pleasure to meet you, Your Majesty.”

After the episode was released, critics of Meghan quickly accused her of mocking British customs and for appearing to disrespect Queen Elizabeth herself.

Now, the author of the new book The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy, Robert Hardman, has written that Harry likely recognized the awkwardness the moment could cause.

“One of the most contentious moments, among British viewers at least, was when a smirking Meghan performed a comic repeat of her first curtsey to the queen,” Hardman wrote of the docuseries.

“The queasy look of discomfort on Harry’s face was that of a man all too aware of the consequences yet unable to do anything about it.”

“Social media lit up once again while criticism was not confined to the usual suspects,” he continued. “Yet the king and the family said nothing.”

King Charles and Buckingham Palace adopted a blanket “no comment” position on the Netflix show and the revelations made within it. While Meghan’s curtsy comment left her open to criticism, in the months following the show’s release, a number of examples of her performing respectful curtsies to Queen Elizabeth II went viral after being shared by fans to social media.

Harry and Meghan have not commented on Hardman’s book, which also includes a number of additional observations of the couple and their relationships with Charles and other members of the royal family.

In one chapter, the author cites an unnamed “friend” of Prince William’s who said that Harry’s Netflix comment about royal men marrying women who were considered to “fit the mold” had hurt his brother.

“The clear inference that he was talking about his elder brother astonished friends of the family,” Hardman wrote, quoting the “friend” as saying:

“‘On top of all the other breaches of trust, here was Harry making a blatant attack on Catherine. For William, this was the lowest of the low.’”

The Making of a King: King Charles III and the Modern Monarchy is due to be published on January 18 by Pegasus Books.

Prince Archie’s sweet birthday wishes for his younger sister, Princess Lilibet, have become the subject of a new viral video, after home-movie footage released by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as part of their Netflix docuseries has resurfaced on social media site TikTok.

Archie is Harry and Meghan’s eldest child, born in 2019 when both were still working members of the royal family in Britain. The couple spent Archie’s formative months at their home, Frogmore Cottage, in the grounds of Windsor Castle, before moving to the Montecito area of California in 2020.

The prince was joined by a baby sister in 2021, who their parents named in tribute to Queen Elizabeth II as “Lilibet.”

Lilibet spent her first birthday in Britain with Meghan, Harry and Archie, during the family’s first visit to the country as a foursome, to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

While staying at their former home of Frogmore Cottage, Harry and Meghan threw their daughter a private party with close friends, footage of which was revealed for the first time in the December 2022 Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan.

Uploaded to TikTok by user family.sussex, on January 15, a clip of the party footage has been viewed on the social media platform over half a million times so far, with the caption: “Prince Archie singing Happy Birthday to [his] little sister Princess Lilibet.”

The clip shows Archie dressed in a plain cotton shirt sitting in the garden of Frogmore Cottage as the princess is being sung to.

The clip has received in excess of 6,000 likes and 200 comments, many of which have praised the prince and the Sussex family.

“Adorable,” wrote one user, with another adding: “Cute little prince.”

A further commenter said: “Beautiful family.”

Archie will celebrate his fifth birthday on May 6, and has not returned to Britain since the 2022 jubilee visit.

In September 2022, Archie saw a major life change after the death of his great-grandmother, the queen.

Prior to this, his parents had decided to style their son as “Master Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor,” as opposed to following royal tradition and using the lesser title which belonged to his father, of the Earl of Dumbarton.

After the queen’s death, and with the accession of his grandfather, King Charles III, Archie acquired new royal titles following rules within the monarchy known as the George V Convention.

This states that the children and grandchildren (through the male line) of a reigning monarch have the right to bare the titles of Prince or Princess of the United Kingdom, with the style of His or Her Royal Highness.

As such, from September 9, 2022, Archie officially became: His Royal Highness Prince Archie of Sussex. However, since Harry and Meghan are no longer working royals, they do not use their HRH styles and likely neither will their children.

The Wales kids memorably captured viewers’ hearts with their hilarious antics at the Trooping the Colour in June, and now, their cousins Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet could also be getting their own moment in the spotlight. Unlike Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s kids have stayed out of the public eye over the years and haven’t attended any official engagements. However, that could all change as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly planning to bring Archie and Lilibet with them to a major outing next year.

As Harry and Markle gear up for the Invictus Games, they’re considering having their five-year-old son and three-year-old daughter come with them to make it a “family-focused” event, an inside source told Express. Following their successful and whirlwind trip to Nigeria, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are deep in planning mode for the Invictus Games opening ceremony, which will take place in Vancouver, Canada in early 2025.

“The Sussexes have been very involved with the organizational elements of the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler events and it was very much their idea to make this a family-friendly games so that those taking part can bring their children along,” the source told the publication. Next year’s opening ceremon will reportedly include a selection of summer and winter sporting events for all ages, and then become an adults-only event for the 550 wounded veterans and serving armed forces who are expected to compete in the 2025 games.

The insider also said that Prince Harry–who co-founded the organization back in 2014 as part of his work under the Royal Foundation–hopes Prince Archie will follow in his father’s footsteps one day and keep the tradition of the Invictus Games going.

“A patronage will one day be passed to Archie so the foundation can be kept within the family. Harry is adamant that the Invictus Games will remain a Sussex initiative,” they said.

If all goes well, the public could see Archie and Lilibet stepping out with their parents at official engagements as they navigate their lives as non-working royals. Royal author Tom Quinn previously told The Mirror that Prince Harry and Meghan are also considering bringing their kids on their upcoming tours.

Harry always believed he was only essential as a prince fulfilling his duties. However, when he married an American divorcee, he may have lost some of that importance by following a different path. In my opinion, it might be beneficial if Charles vacates his post, although I sincerely hope he recovers from his cancer and lives a long life. However, we must also consider the logistical situation. Therefore, it may be time to pass the realm to William, leaving Harry out in the cold
Furthermore, William should be mature enough to make it clear to Harry that he will never regain his former status. It’s possible that Harry should be removed from the list of counselors of State. This should be taken into consideration when the monarchy evaluates who will succeed William.

The truth is, Harry should have been removed from this list a long time ago. Keeping him on it only gives him false hope of reconciliation with the family. He has no right to participate in the planning process, especially since he is no longer in the line of succession.

I personally hope Harry remains in exile forever, and I believe that’s what Prince William will ensure once he takes the throne. It brings me a sense of satisfaction to see Harry angry about this situation. It’s exactly what he deserves as a consequence of his actions.

The Duke of Sussex is set to be given a memorial award set up in the name of Pat Tillman in Los Angeles on July 11.

However, there has been a furious reaction to Harry’s nomination for the award, including public criticism from Tillman’s mother Mary.

A petition demanding the TV network ESPN rethink its decision has been launched, claiming the Duke of Sussex had been “involved in controversies that call into question his suitability to receive an honour of this magnitude”.

Prince Harry will “return to the UK permanently” without wife Meghan Markle as he feels “angry and lonely” in America, it has been claimed.

Royal author Hugo Vickers has suggested that the Duke of Sussex will make the return to his homeland “solo” and that King Charles will “hold the door open for him”.

When asked by The Sun where he sees Prince Harry in 20 years, Vickers said: “I think he’ll come home – and if he comes home, we must be very nice to him, because he won’t particularly want to. He’s quite angry.

“I personally think that he looks like he’s petrified of losing her [Meghan] and looks slightly petrified of her.”

Discussing the remarks on GB News, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said Harry would “not leave his children in California”, but agreed with Vickers that possibly in 20 years, Prince Harry will make his return to royal life.

Schofield explained: “Hugo Vickers said Harry could come back in 20 years, which I think it would be. Prince Harry is not going to leave his children alone in the United States of America, there is no way.”

Sharing her thoughts on Prince Harry’s possible UK return, host Isabel Webster said the Duke has had a “culture shock” in stepping back from senior royal life to be with Meghan in the US.

Isabel said: “I can only imagine the culture shock that Prince Harry has faced arriving there. This is a kid that has grown up in castles, went to Eton College, holidayed across British country estates… It is plausible that he could be very lonely.”

Schofield agreed with Isabel, noting that before the move his life was “handed to him”, and now he has “had to learn how to pay the phone bill”.

Schofield told GB News: “If you think about Prince Harry’s life four years ago, his schedule was handed to him, somebody else was managing his day, somebody else was managing his money.

“And now he goes to bed every night with his head on the pillow, worrying about how he’s going to pay the mortgage, how he’s going to pay for security and his incredible PR team.”

Schofield was then asked by host Eamonn Holmes if Meghan Markle “is the problem” for Prince Harry, to which she admitted: “I think that she has created a lot of roadblocks.”

Eamonn fumed: “She calls the shots, it’s quite obvious. It’s where her career is going what she is interested in, who she wants around her – it’s all about her!”

“She’s got a brand new cooking show coming out on Netflix, we believe within this Netflix cooking show launch, we’re also going to see the official launch of American Riviera Orchard. The only way to have a successful launch in Hollywood is media, media, media.

“She’s going to have to put herself out there. And those are the types of things Prince Harry dreads, avoids – I doubt he enjoys that aspect.”
