Holly Willoughby appeared to hit back at Eamonn Holmes’ brutal claims about her friendship with Alison Hammond with a very telling remark on This Morning today.

The 42-year-old returned to the ITV daytime show today alongside host Craig Doyle, who became the second host this week to fill in for Phillip Schofield.

Last week, former This Morning host Eamonn accused Holly of “faking” her friendship with Alison in a bombshell interview, suggesting that their ‘sudden’ friendship “wouldn’t have happened 13 years ago”.

However, Holly seemed to hit back at the claims in a comment sparked by Josie Gibson’s appearance on the ITV show today by the Kennet and Avon canal.

Josie declared: “Stick with us over the next few days because I’m going to be on my own canal boat adventure and tomorrow is Best Friends Day, so my friends better be ready! Got a canal boat waiting for you…”

Holly responded back in the studio: “Aw, enjoy that! Think of all the friends getting on the canal with her. The canals are about to get even more dangerous, Craig!”

Craig asked Josie: “How many of you are going, Jose?”

Josie replied: “Well, I’ve been trying to round them out but Alison can’t make it, Holly’s obviously in the studio, so I’ve got one or two.”

 

Holly interrupted with a grin: “Alison can’t come because she’s at mine tonight! That’s what I do know!”

It comes after Eamonn previously told Dan Wootton on GB News: “This nonsense about Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond as her best friend and [Holly] was at Alison’s birthday party…Alison Hammond goes to Holly Willoughby’s select nights out with her friends.

“This wouldn’t have happened two years ago. Are you kidding? Alison Hammond has been on the programme 13 years and I’m sure there was very little contact between her and the presenters.

“People just use other people and it’s disgusting.”

Holly returned to This Morning on Monday after an extended two-week break as she issued a statement and finally addressed the scandal involving her former colleague Phillip.

Phillip, 61, initially quit This Morning after 21 years amid rumours of a rift between himself and co-star Holly following a “difficult few days” amid his brother’s court case.

But in a shocking turn, the host was axed completely from ITV – including from his presenting roles on Dancing On Ice and the British Soap Awards – after he admitted to lying about an affair he had with a much younger male colleague.

After his statement, Holly said that she was “hurt” that she had been lied to, while ITV bosses expressed their “deep disappointment” over his “deceit”.Last week, Phillip went on to take part in a series of bombshell interviews in which he declared he is “not a groomer” and addressed his falling out with Holly, revealing that he texted her but never received a response.

Stacey Solomon has opened up about her friendships with other mums as one of her son’s prepares to start a new school.

The Sort Your Life Out presenter, 33, confessed it took her “a really long time to find mums that like me” as she shared a candid insight into her life and personal relationships.

Stacey admitted things were starting to “feel emotional now” as her second eldest child Leighton bids farewell to his primary school and pals ahead of beginning his secondary school education later this year.

The Loose Women star has five young children whose ages range from newborn to 15-years-old, meaning the doting mum has spent a lot of time in various school environment over the last decade.

But that doesn’t mean the DIY guru has always found it easy to make pals with other mums in the playground.

“It’s starting to feel emotional now because it’s nearly summer and then that’s it, none of Leighton’s friends are going to the school that he’s going to,” the social media sensation began when addressing her 5.7million followers.

“I just feel really nervous for him but hopefully they’ll all stay in touch, I really hope so because I like the mums too. It took me a really long time to find mums that like me. But Rex is going to Leighton’s school and some of their siblings are going there as well so hopefully I’ll still see them.”

In addition to sharing Leighton, 11, with ex-fiancé Aaron Barnham, Stacey is also a proud mum to 15-year-old Zachary with her childhood sweetheart and shares son Rex, four, and daughters Rose, one, and newborn Belle with husband Joe Swash.

Former EastEnders actor Joe is also dad to his teenage son Harry from a previous relationship.

Speaking with comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe on their hit podcast last year, Stacey opened up blending families with Joe.

“The blended family situation has been a rocky road,’ the mum-of-five confessed. “That has never been easy.”

This Morning viewers claim to have clocked further ‘tension’ between Ruth Langsford and Holly Willoughby as they were involved in another rather uncomfortable hand-over.

The regular mid-show preview of Loose Women turned interesting when Ruth said they were talking “awkward exchanges”.

That’s just what many at home were thinking after a bruising couple of weeks.

The apparent uncomfortableness between the pair has been heightened following Phillip Schofield’s exit.

Ruth’s husband and former This Morning star Eamonn Holmes was apparently left furious with now ex presenter Phillip, who he says referred to them as ‘the B team’ when they used to host on Fridays and act as holiday cover.

Eamonn hasn’t held back and spoke in detail about the supposed toxic culture on the morning programme.

Trying to put the remarks to one side, Holly had started off the conversation by saying: “What’s happening on the show today, Ruth?”

Ruth replied: “Can you spare four slices of that cake, Holly?” as the host was digging in to the treat.

She went on: “Coming up on Loose Women, should you ever have a say on who your partner is friends with…?’

“And we’re talking awkward exchanges. Have you ever accidentally said, “I love you”, to the wrong person?’

“Also today, we are asking – would you take love advice from a former cheat?’ another bit of awkward timing after Phillip’s affair came to light last month.

Viewers took to Twitter arguing that there was ‘obvious’ frostiness between Ruth and Holly.

Reacting to the exchange, one tweeted: “Ruth’s absolute disdain for Holly is absolutely brutal”.

Eamonn lashed out at Phillip over his bombshell interviews, accusing him of “lies” after the disgraced star’s claim he hasn’t made “one mistake” in his 40-year career.

Phillip, 61, said that his TV career was over after admitting to having an affair with a much younger male colleague – but also claimed that he is a “victim of hate” and that he has “lost everything” as a consequence of his lies.

Returning to This Morning, Holly’s monologue captured the headlines following weeks of speculation about her friendship with her former co-star.

“Deep breath – firstly, are you OK? I hope so,” she said in a much-mocked opening.

The TV star recalled her past romances, where she said if you haven’t got an instant connection then the relationship isn’t right.

Yet, she candidly admitted that stance held her back following her split with Michael.

“Gradually over time with the person I’m with now, it has taken a longer time and it’s my fault because I keep thinking I’m not used to this,” she told the panel.

Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway has announced a new project with a touching connection to her husband Derek Draper

Kate Garraway has revealed she is releasing a new book focused on Derek Draper’s ongoing recovery after suffering with long Covid.

The book will be a positive one, the Good Morning Britain revealed, that the presenter hopes will help others through difficult times.

Announcing the news on Instagram, Kate shared the title of the book The Strength of Love, which will be released in September.

She wrote: “Hello everyone, so I have written a new book… it’s called The Strength of Love.

“I must admit it has been so tough to write but that’s because I have had to go into some of my darkest thoughts and experiences but I also wanted it to be a positive read for you too.

“I have so much to be thankful for and so many people have shared so much love with me and my family, and I really wanted to share something helpful back.

“You have a face for radio,” Coleen cheekily quipped to Brenda.

The studio audience laughed but Brenda didn’t look too impressed.

Jumping in, Ruth said: “That’s the perfect point for me to say, it’s time to take a break. Oh Col, you’re in trouble.”

“She’s going to batter me in the break!” Coleen joked.

The moment Prince Harry reenacted his son Prince Archie’s first steps has won praise from fans, after footage from the royal’s docuseries resurfaced on social media site, TikTok.

Harry has spoken on a number of occasions about the pride and importance he places on his role as a father of two: Prince Archie (born in 2019) and Princess Lilibet (born in 2021).

In 2019, weeks after the arrival of his son, the prince said that he had become aware of how important it was for him to become a strong and dependable role model for Archie. Speaking at the National Youth Mentoring Summit in London, he attributed this fresh appreciation for role models to the “newfound clarity I have as a father knowing that my son will always be watching what I do, mimicking my behavior, one day maybe even following in my footsteps.”

Archie’s first footsteps were discussed by Harry and Meghan Markle in their eponymous Netflix docuseries which debuted in December 2022. The show charted the course of the couple’s relationship and provided fans with unparalleled access into their family life in California.

Included in the show were never-before-seen family photos and home movies, showing Archie and Lilibet’s life milestones to date, including shots of the prince walking and talking, as well as poignant footage of Meghan showing him a photograph and speaking to him about his grandmother, Princess Diana.

Uploaded to TikTok by user, queendianaspncer, on January 9, a clip from the Harry and Meghan series shows the couple touring the grounds of a California home owned by the Hollywood producer Tyler Perry.

The couple spent several months at the home which was loaned to them by Perry during the COVID pandemic, after Harry’s state-funded security was removed by the U.K. government when he stepped down from his working commitments within the monarchy.

“Archie took his very first steps right here,” Meghan said as the couple toured the grounds of the property, at which point Harry gestured to the spot and lightheartedly mimicked his son’s tentative movements. This was captioned: “Proud daddy.”

The viral clip also included footage of Archie walking with his parents and pets, as well as kicking a ball with Harry in a sand pit.

The video has been viewed over 110,000 times on the social media site so far and received in excess of 10,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the royals.

“I miss them. But I’m glad they are protect[ing] themselves and their family,” wrote one user.

“This is so cute,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “Harry is giving Archie the childhood HE wanted…great job.”

Prince Harry’s helicopter pilot past has seen renewed public interest this month as it was revealed on January 10 that he has been honored by the U.S. group “Living Legends of Aviation” as one of four new “legends” this year.

The move has earned backlash, with senior ex-military members in Britain suggesting there were other pilots and aerospace professionals more worthy of the title.

Harry’s background as a pilot dates back to his career in the British Armed Forces. He served as an Apache helicopter co-pilot and gunner during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan in 2012. The royal’s military career was discussed at length in his 2023 memoir, Spare, with Harry revealing that he killed 25 Taliban fighters during his front-line service.

Since the news of Harry’s “Living Legends of Aviation” recognition, social media debate around the prince’s flying experience has developed, including comparisons with his older brother, Prince William, who served with the Royal Air Force and emergency air ambulance service as a helicopter pilot.

Public interest in Harry and William’s relationship has grown increasingly since Harry split from the monarchy and moved to the U.S. with Meghan Markle in 2020. Since then, the prince has cited issues with palace aides, the British press and royal family members as influencing factors for the move.

In Spare, Harry gave readers the most revealing insight yet into his relationship with William, describing tensions, resentments and arguments between the pair. William did not publicly respond to the claims made against him.

Harry and William’s military careers crossed at an important point as they both trained as helicopter pilots at the Defence Helicopter Flying School located at Royal Air Force Shawbury, in northwest England, in 2009.

While studying on the same base—William with the RAF to become a search and rescue pilot and Harry with the Army Air Corps—the brothers lived together, giving a rare joint interview about their experiences during their courses.

The interview, given to a number of outlets in June 2009, saw the brothers take a number of fraternal jabs at one another, including William revealing frustration at having Harry as a housemate and Harry telling journalists he was a “better” pilot than his brother.

Asked how mentally taxing the course was, Harry responded that the theory exams were what he found most challenging.

“The struggle that I was talking about was mainly the exams and stuff like that. I mean, for the helicopter course, you start with something like four or five weeks of ground school and exams,” he said. “Exams have never been my favorite, and I always knew that I was going to find it harder than most people, but I’m through that now and finally got hands-on to a job that I absolutely adore.”

With this, he added a subtle dig at his brother: “It is still hard work, but I’m better than William, so it’s fine.”

William laughed off the comment and said that he’d been helping Harry prepare for his exams. “He needs a lot of help,” he said. “It’s the RAF way…So you have to help the Army out a lot.”

Later on in the interview, after more banter between the brothers, a journalist directed a question at Harry, asking what it was like following “high-achieving” William.

“It’s tough enough to do a course like this on your own [but] with the whole world watching and a high-achieving older brother watching, does it increase the pressure do you think?” the journalist asked.

“I don’t think that’s quite fair,” William said in response. “He’s doing a fantastic job. He puts himself down, but genuinely, he is seriously well. I’ve spoken to his instructor and stuff like that, he’s doing a fantastic job. So, yeah, he’s just very modest about it, but he’s doing very well.”

In Spare, Harry referenced the interview, suggesting that what appeared to be light-hearted banter could have been evidence that there were bigger issues between the royal brothers than he had at first acknowledged.

“Maybe there was some tension under the surface between us, which I wasn’t fully comprehending,” he wrote of their time on their helicopter courses.

“While sharing that cottage we agreed to a rare joint interview, in an airplane hangar at Shawbury, during which Willy griped endlessly about my habits. ‘Harry’s a slob,’ he said. ‘Harry snores.’ I turned and gave him a look. Was he joking? I cleaned up after myself, and I didn’t snore. Besides, our rooms were separated by thick walls, so even if I did snore there was no way he heard.”

“The reporters were having fits of giggles about it all, but I cut in: ‘Lies! Lies!’ That only made them laugh harder. Willy too,” he said. “I laughed as well, because we often bantered like that, but when I look back on it now, I can’t help but wonder if there wasn’t something else at play.”

On reflection, Harry questioned whether there was resentment from William that he wasn’t allowed to take part in active duty as Harry was.

During her time as an actress, best known for her role as Rachel Zane in the hit legal TV drama Suits, Meghan Markle was no stranger to a Hollywood party or red carpet event.

However, when she married Prince Harry in 2018, the new Duchess of Sussex joined the ranks of the world’s most desirable party guests and has, since the couple’s split from the monarchy in 2020, attended a number of charity awards and galas in an array of showstopping gowns.

Another New York City awards appearance saw Meghan opt for a glittering gold cocktail dress with daring bust cut-out designed by Colombian fashion designer Johanna Ortiz.

Meghan wore her hair styled in waves across one shoulder for the event and styled the look with gold heeled sandals and gold and diamond jewelry.

Meghan’s most recent red carpet appearance was made in November 2023, where the duchess attended the Variety Power of Women Gala in Los Angeles.

For the gala, the royal wore a classic asymmetric evening gown in one of her favorite neutral shades designed by Proenza Schouler.

Meghan wore her hair in her slicked back style with a chignon at the nape of the neck and carried a black leather clutch bag, paired with black heeled pumps.

In celebration of next year’s Invictus Games, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent three days enjoying the Canadian ski slopes in Vancouver, Canada.

Next year’s Invictus Games—founded by Prince Harry in 2014 in order to better support injured and sick veterans—will be the first winter edition of the Paralympic-style sporting competition.

In honor of the games, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tried their hand at some of the upcoming events, including sit-down skiing—a form of the sport that allows people with disabilities to participate and compete—and skeleton sledding, in which Prince Harry went head-first down a track going over 61 mph.

“The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 will offer a global platform to expand the range and profile of winter adaptive sports,” Prince Harry said in a statement.

While the couple’s time in Vancouver was an important work trip, it was clear they also enjoyed themselves. Here are all the photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle hitting the slopes in style.
