  • Ruth Langsford ‘open to meeting someone new’ after Eamonn Holmes split left her ‘reeling’

Ruth Langsford ‘open to meeting someone new’ after Eamonn Holmes split left her ‘reeling’

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford announced they are in the process of a divorce, after 14 years of marriage, back in May

Ruth Langsford is reportedly open to meeting somebody new following her split from long-term husband Eamonn Holmes and “hasn’t ruled out things like dating apps”. Through their spokesperson back in May, the couple confirmed they had called it quits after 14 years of marriage in a statement nobody saw coming.

The Loose Women star has since remained silent about their separation and has taken an extended break from her television duties, while Eamonn has returned to his GB News show and has thanked fans for their support. The broadcaster has also reportedly been spending time with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, who is said to have visited his place numerous times.

Following this, a source has said that friends of Ruth “have been rallying around” her “and telling her to meet someone new”. They added to Best Magazine: “Ruth has been completely shocked by it all. She doesn’t feel ready, if truth be told, but she has been left reeling after seeing Eamonn get close to a new woman.

“She never thought in a million years there would be talk of either of them moving on after just publicly announcing their split, but her friends have said that if Eamonn is moving on with someone new, then there’s no reason why she shouldn’t as well.”

While it’s unlikely that the mother-of-one will go public with a new romance anytime soon, friends reportedly have “a long list of men” they believe would put a smile back on her face when she is ready.

“They feel she could easily have a revenge romance tomorrow if she needs to,” the source added.

“Dating feels like a terrifying other world to Ruth, but her pals have promised to hold her hand through the process once she’s ready.”

They went on to say that while she is “excited about her romantic future”, she will “tread carefully”, particularly with being in the public eye.

Representatives for Ruth and Eamonn have been contacted for comment by The Mirror.

The former This Morning presenters married back in 2010 at Elvetham Hall in Hampshire and later welcomed their only child together into the world, a son named Jack, now 22.

The GB News presenter also has three older children with his first wife Gabrielle Holmes.

According to the Mail Online, Ruth will break her silence about the split when she returns to Loose Women next week.

A source told the publication: “The presenters on Loose Women have a history of opening up about their marriage splits on air and it’s a very supportive environment.

“Ruth knows the viewers are heavily invested in her breakup so she will be addressing her and Eamonn for the first time on the show.”

The source goes onto claim that once she addresses the split, she will then draw a line under it and has no plans to speak further.

Loose Women’s Linda Robson gives ‘stressful’ update on house move after divorce

Loose Women panellist Linda Robson has opened up about life after her divorce from husband Mark Dunfold after 33 years of marriage, admitting things have been “stressful”

Loose Women star Linda Robson has made a candid admission as she prepares for life after her heart-breaking divorce.

The 66-year-old announced her split from husband Mark Dunford last year, over 33 years after the pair married in 1990. At the time she said “enough is enough”, admitting the pair had “simply grown apart” over the years.

It left Linda looking to move out of their period two-bedroom family home in Islington, aiming to move closer to their two children Louis, 32, and Bobbie, 28. When asked if she had moved yet, Linda told Woman: “No, I’m still looking. Hopefully, I will find somewhere.”

The star admitted it has been a stressful period, adding: “It certainly will be a new chapter when I do move.” Previously, Linda admitted that she and Mark “never had that much in common” but says they stayed together for their children.

The divorce comes after a tough few years for Linda in which she has endured a breakdown and a struggle with drinking and OCD that left her on suicide watch. Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “I gave my family the worst time. I still find it hard to forgive myself for that. I’d always been the strong one. Suddenly, they all had to look after me.

“I felt so bad for what I’d done to everyone who loved me. My family would come and visit me on Sundays instead of us all at home having a roast together. It was the worst time of my life, ever.”

Now, back to her old self, Linda has seen her career reach new successes as a panellist on ITV’s popular daytime show. She added: “I love being on the panel, it’s like working with your mates every day.”

Linda also admits she has been contacted by producers from Celebs Go Dating, but says her children asked her not to do the show. She told Woman that she “wouldn’t be looking for a date” but did want to meet people.

This Morning turns tense as Ben Shephard aims cryptic jibe at Loose Women ‘feud’

This Morning star Ben Shephard braved a cheeky jibe live on-air, taking a stab at his Loose Women co-stars, he hinted that there could be trouble in paradise with panel members

Cheeky chap Ben Shephard couldn’t resist taking a stab at his Loose Women co-stars.

The TV host, who has worked on ITV for over two decades now, is not one to shy away from making loose comments on air. When chatting to host Charlene White about her schedule for the day, he took his chances and landed a tongue-in-cheek jibe.

Over at the This Morning studio, Ben and his co-presenter’s Cat Deeley and Josie Gibson were trying out various toys for the garden – ahead of hopefully better weather to come this summer. He and the Bristolian star popped on two Giant Body Bopper suits, that were shaped like raspberries.

This outdoor game proved to be lots of fun as Josie and the Tipping Point host went head-to-head in the massive inflatables, with the aim of the game being, to bop your opponent over.

Ben caught in a serious stance while hosting This Morning
Ben Shephard caused a stri with a cheeky Loose Women feud jibe

Before long, the TV pair were completely knocked off of their feet with host Cat needing to intervene to scoop them both up from the floor. As the segment was wrapping up, Charlene White appeared on the programme to update on Loose Women topics that would be open for discussion on today’s show (July 10).

Slightly out of breath and addressing Charlene while donning the massive raspberry suit, Ben quipped: “I think you girls might need this in the Loose Women studio.”

Ben commented to Charlene while wearing a huge inflatable suit
    Charlene shrugged off Ben’s comment
Knowing what he was alluding to, his co-star Cat smacked the suit as if to tell him not to go there. But he did anyway, adding: “You could sort out a few arguments with some of these.”

Trying to shut the former GMB star, Cat gave him another jab, this time much harder as a bashful Charlene smoothed over his dig, chirping back: “Ben, it suits you babes, it suits you.”

Loose Women was running on it’s normal allotted time, 12:30pm but was forced to wrap up discussions early after suffering a schedule shake-up. ITV News had been brought forward to 1pm, meaning the ladies needed to finish earlier than normal.

Changes were made to the normal routine schedule, to make way for ITV racing. Today, the team were filming from Newmarket racecourse.

’31 people a day lose their lives to cancer… I’m going to be one of them’, says Linda Nolan

Daubed in paint and proudly topless in Westminster, a group of 31 women demanded the approval of a “life-extending” cancer drug. The group, representing the 31 lives lost to advanced breast cancer every day in the UK, included actress and Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha

“Thirty-one people a day lose their lives to secondary, advanced breast cancer in the UK. I still can’t believe it, and I’m going to be one of them,” says Linda Nolan.

Seeing 31 sets of boobs let loose in Westminster can’t help but underline the point though. Parliament has had a lot to say, but those stunning bosoms have voiced the only thing worth listening to as far as I’m concerned.

Hats (and bras) off to Nadia Sawalha and the group of women who went topless, some of whom are, like me, living with secondary breast cancer, and who have undergone mastectomies. This was no joke: their brave stand was made to extend lives – including many of their own, and maybe mine.

They were calling for the drug Enhertu to be licensed for use in England for women with a particular type of secondary breast cancer, as it already is in Scotland. The drug can extend life by months, but right now here in England, you are denied it. It makes me so angry saying it out loud.

While I’m waiting to find out if I’m medically suitable for it, many of these women, including Nadia’s good friend, Hannah, know they are. Yet they have zero control over getting it – and with cancer, you have precious little control already. A few months doesn’t sound like much. To me, and people like me, every day means everything. It is why we fight.

The fact I am alive this week means I will get to meet my new great-niece, who was born on Wednesday. More weeks will mean more lunches with my school friends, more bingo with my sisters. Maybe even wins. The new Government seems to value women, so I plead with them to listen. I’m in awe of these fabulous ladies and want to thank them.

I also hope they had their vests to hand, it’s nippy for July. Daubed in paint and proudly topless in Westminster, a group of 31 women demanded the approval of a “life-extending” cancer drug. The group, representing the 31 lives lost to advanced breast cancer every day in the UK, included actress and Loose Women presenter Nadia Sawalha.

Nadia’s close friend Hannah Gardner, who has incurable breast cancer, was also at Parliament calling for Enhertu to be made available on the NHS. Campaigners have been lobbying decision-makers for months after learning that the pioneering drug had been blocked for use in England.

Nadia, 59, said: “Our message to the decision-makers is ‘you have the power. Let’s see it. Show us you care because this could be your mother, your sister, your daughter’.”

Prince Harry Dancing in Public Caught on Camera

Prince Harry’s celebratory dance moves have gone viral on social media after the royal made a surprise visit to a hockey game in Canada with Meghan Markle on Monday.

The duke and duchess were photographed at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver on November 20, watching as the Vancouver Canucks swept their way to victory over the San Jose Sharks team 3-1.

Harry presented the first puck of the game in an opening ceremony which echoed his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, who threw in a ceremonial puck at a Vancouver Canucks game in the same arena during a visit to Canada back in 2002.

In a clip posted to the team’s official social media channels, game footage showing Harry and Meghan in the stadium stands celebrating a point score has gone viral, with the prince shown spontaneously breaking out into a dance.

Captioned “Two points and two new #Canucks fans tonight!” the clip has been viewed over 100,000 times on X (formerly Twitter), with a number of commenters praising the royal couple.

“Welcome to Canucks nation,” posted one fan, with another writing: “I’m obsessed they’re so cute.”

The couple’s visit to the game was tied with Harry’s Invictus Games veterans sports tournament which will be hosted in Vancouver and Whistler in 2025.

The games will be the first in the tournament’s decade-long history to include winter sports events.

In a post to the 2025 Invictus Games social media channels on Monday, the organization said it was “honored” to host Harry and other senior members of the Invictus Games Foundation to a pre-games planning visit.

“We are honoured to host senior members of the Invictus Games Foundation including Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex in Vancouver and Whistler this week to visit venues as we focus on delivering the first-ever winter sports program at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025,” it said.

Monday’s was not the first hockey game attended by Harry.

The prince launched the 2017 Invictus Games that were held in Toronto by throwing in the puck at an adapted sledge-hockey game which was also attended by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

The 2017 games marked a significant milestone in Harry and Meghan’s relationship. They had been dating for a year when they attended their first public event as a couple at a wheelchair tennis match during the games. Meghan was living in Toronto at the time filming her Suits TV show.

Meghan has also been photographed attending hockey matches in the past.

‘New woman in my life’ this is how Prince Harry affirms his woman

Prince Harry’s description of Meghan Markle as the “new woman in my life” to Prince William and Kate Middleton, revealed in his 2023 memoir, has gone viral on social media, with clips from the couple’s relationship—along with a soundbite from the prince’s audiobook—featuring in a new TikTok video.

Harry and Meghan met in the summer of 2016, while the future duchess was visiting London during a filming break in her hit legal TV show Suits.

After dating for a short time, Harry took Meghan to Botswana for a vacation where they have since said the relationship quickly became serious. They announced their engagement in November 2017 and married in May 2018.

Together the couple have two children: Prince Archie, born 2018; and Princess Lilibet, born 2021.

In his record-breaking memoir Spare, published in January 2023, Harry gave readers an insight into his early relationship with Meghan and how members of his family reacted to the possibility of an American actress joining their ranks.

In one chapter, an audio clip from which features in the new viral video uploaded to TikTok by user elikali4.0, Harry revealed how he had broken the news to William and Kate that he and Meghan had started seriously dating, news that effected a surprising result from the prince and princess.

“I casually mentioned that there was…a new woman in my life,” he commented.

“They surged forward. ‘Who is she?’ ‘I’ll tell you, but please, please, please, I need you both to keep it a secret’.

“Yes, Harold, yes, yes—who is it?” he wrote of William and Kate’s response.

    “She’s an actress…She’s American…On a show called Suits.”

“Their mouths fell open. They turned to each other. Then Willy turned to me and said: ‘F*** off! ..No way…Impossible!”

“I was baffled, until Willy and Kate explained that they were regular—nay, religious—viewers of Suits. Great, I thought, laughing. I’ve been worrying about the wrong thing. All this time I’d thought Willy and Kate might not welcome Meg into the family, but now I had to worry about them hounding her for an autograph.”

The video features the prince’s audio clip overlayed with footage from the couple’s engagement interview, their first Christmas appearance at the royals’ Sandringham church service and a joint appearance with William and Kate at the Royal Foundation Forum in 2017.

The TikTok clip also features Harry’s affectionate description of former royal nanny Tiggy Pettifer, a figure who has remained present throughout his adult life.

The clip has been viewed over 250,000 times on the social media site since its upload on December 9, and has received in excess of 10,000 likes and 400 comments, many of which have praised the couple, others voicing surprise at the claim William and Kate were religious viewers of the Suits show.

Meghan starred in Suits from its first episode in 2011, up until its seventh season, which finished airing in 2018. Her role was that of paralegal Rachel Zane, and the character was written out of the show with a wedding episode that aired in the build-up to Meghan’s real wedding to Harry at Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.

Suits aired for another two seasons, wrapping finally in 2019, and has seen a revival in public interest over the past year.

In July 2023, after being added to the Netflix streaming library in the U.S., the show broke the Nielsen record as the most viewed acquired title for a single week ever. For the viewing period June 26 to July 2, over 3.1 billion minutes of the nine-season show were streamed.

Prince Harry was roasted by a stand-up comedian by saying he and Meghan Markle pulled “the pin on the fun grenade” at a Halloween party.

Simon Brodkin, a well-known U.K. comedian who used to perform as Lee Nelson, used his live stand-up show to say the line was so cringey that he began “rooting for Prince Andrew.”

“I started off, I wanted to like them,” Brodkin said. “They were making interesting points about racism. and misogyny , but then they started calling each other H and M and I just thought, ‘Oh do f*** off.’

“Honestly, by the time Harry was describing a particular date with Meghan as the night they, quote, ‘pulled the pin on a fun grenade,’ I actually started rooting for Prince Andrew.”

A clip of his remarks went viral on TikTok after it was viewed 330,000 times and liked 16,000 times.

The date Brodkin referenced was a Halloween party the night before Harry and Meghan’s relationship became public for the first time, which the couple described in their December 2022 Netflix series Harry & Meghan.

“We went to this Halloween party together where we could be completely dressed up and no one would know,” Harry told the show. “I had a bandana and goggles.”

Meghan replied: “You borrowed a great costume. And we were like ‘well this might be our last shot to just go out and have fun out in the world.’”

“Pull the pin on the fun grenade, which we did,” Harry added.

Harry described in his book Spare how he dressed up in a real costume from the hit 2015 movie Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy.

They then went out to party with Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank at Soho House, Toronto, in 2016.

“For help with my costume,” he wrote, “I’d turned to a friend, the actor Tom Hardy, before I left home. I’d phoned him to ask if I could borrow his costume from Mad Max.

“‘The whole thing?’ ‘Yes, please, mate! The whole kit.’ He’d given it all to me before I left Britain, and now I tried it on in Meg’s little bathroom. When I came out, she roared with laughter.

“It was funny. And a little scary. But the main thing was I was unrecognizable.”

“The party was loud, dark, drunk—ideal,” he continued. “Several people did double-takes as Meg passed through the rooms, but no one looked twice at her dystopian date.

“I wished I could wear this disguise every day. I wished I could reuse it the next

Gibbons and Patten-Walsh were both found guilty on eight counts each of encouraging acts of terrorism, with Gibbons convicted of two additional counts of dissemination of terrorist publications.

Gibbons received an eight-year prison sentence and Patten-Walsh seven years.

The two men from London were arrested in 2021 following an investigation by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command that focused on material they created, including what the police described as a “neo-Nazi online podcast.”

Titled “Black Wolf Radio” the 21-episode chat show contained a number of homophobic, racist, antisemitic, Islamophobic and misogynistic comments, some targeted at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son.

In June 2022, prosecutor Anne Whyte QC told a London court, per the BBC, that Gibbons had described Prince Archie as an “abomination that should be put down.”

Gibbons also claimed that Prince Harry should be “prosecuted and found guilty and judicially killed for treason.”

Newsweek approached representatives of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex via email for comment.

Discussing the sentencing, the Met Police’s Counter Terrorism Commander, Dominic Murphy, said per a press release that Gibbons and Patten-Walsh’s material was “exactly the kind that has the potential to draw vulnerable people—particularly young people—into terrorism.”

“We are determined to identify and hold to account individuals pushing this material. In this case, officers reviewed hours-upon-hours of material to present a compelling case,” he said. “I hope this case and today’s sentencing sends a clear message that there are serious consequences for those who share terrorist material or encourage others to become involved in terrorism.”

This is not the first time that illegal acts directed at the Sussex family have featured in police investigations.

In September 2022, five former Met Police officers in London pleaded guilty to committing 19 offenses under the Communications Act 2003, after sending “grossly offensive racist messages” in a WhatsApp group, some of which were found to have referenced Meghan Markle.

This led some to suggest that Harry and Meghan were justified in their decision to leave Britain and raise their family in the U.S.

Chief executive of data analysis firm Bot Sentinel, Christopher Bouzy, previously told Newsweek that the police convictions “lend credence to Prince Harry’s expressed concerns for the well-being of his family, reinforcing the legitimacy of their decision to relocate to the United States in search of safety.”
