Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen slams Stacey Solomon’s decorating as ‘incredibly cold’

Stacey Solomon has gained a legion of fans through sharing the transformation of her Essex home, but it seems that interior design guru Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen hasn’t been swept away by her home mansion’s look

TV interior designer Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen hit out at Stacey Solomon’s Pickle Cottage look back in 2022.

Stacey has been transforming her family’s Essex pad, Pickle Cottage, since she and her now husband Joe Swash bought it in April 2021, with the Loose Women star sharing DIY tips along the way with her Instagram followers.

While many see the £1.2m house as a dream home, it appears that Laurence believes there’s room for improvement.

Speaking about current trends, the Changing Rooms star said: “Suddenly, everybody’s looking at coordinating with the likes of Posh and Becks to get the ‘Stacey Solomon grey’ look. It’s incredibly cold.”

He told OK! “I want people to know how to create a warm, loving space in which they can recharge as well as feel safe and looked after.”

Thankfully, Stacey seemed too busy to take Laurence’s words to heart, as soon after his comments she shared an adorable photo of her family dressed as the Flintstones for Halloween.

The doting mum slipped into the role of Wilma, wearing a white mini dress with an orange wig, while her husband Joe Swash became Fred Flintstone – wearing his famous black and orange dress.

Meanwhile, their son Rex, three, channelled Bam-Bam, while their daughter Rose, one, became Pebbles Flintstone.

In fitting with the animated theme, her son Leighton became Betty Rubble, while her eldest Zachary took on the role of Barney Rubble.

The Loose Women star shared a string of snaps on her Instagram page as she embraced the festivities, as she penned: “Happy Halloween.

“Lots of love from me, Fred, Barney, Betty, Bam Bam & Pebbles. Every year it’s getting harder to find family costumes with enough members for all of us.

“It’s Leighton as Betty for me and Rose’s wig I just can’t cope. Can’t even believe the big boys still do this with me.

“To the moon and back boys. Happy Happy Halloween everyone. Love uuuuu!”

However, Stacey went on to say: “P.S we’ve had to increase our layers every hour since this picture as the rain came in full force,” after vast parts of the UK were hit by stormlike rain.

Her upload which has raked in almost half a million likes in a mere few hours certainly didn’t go unnoticed with thousands of fans flocking to the comment section.

“Dead. WHY DOES IT SUIT YOU ALL SO MUCH THOUGH!? Leightons my fav again!!” exclaimed one person.

While another added: “Elite-level family Halloween costumes.”

“I absolutely love this! I also love how Leighton is so confident in his own skin and has such a great sense of humour to dress up as Betty! A great testament to you! What a fab bunch,” gushed one fan.

  • Loose Women’s Brenda Edwards ‘too busy for love’ as she embraces single life at 55

Loose Women’s Brenda Edwards ‘too busy for love’ as she embraces single life at 55

Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has opened up about her love life, saying she is “single and loving it” and doesn’t need a partner as she is “too busy”

Brenda Edwards has declared she’s too busy for love right now.

The TV favourite, 55, known for her role on Loose Women is a proud mum to daughter Tanisha and remembered her late son Jamal, who tragically passed away in 2022 at the age of 31.

Despite past relationships, Brenda is content flying solo, telling Woman’s Own: “No, I’m single and loving it. I don’t need a man, or a woman. I’m fine with just me, myself and I. You’ve got to enjoy your own company. Plus, I’m really busy, so I haven’t got the time to date.”

Rising to fame on ‘The X Factor ‘ back in 2005, Brenda has since made a name for herself in musical theatre, starring in hits like ‘Hairspray’ and ‘We Will Rock You’. However, she revealed that she’s lost contact with the judges from the show, although Sharon Osbourne did catch her performances.

Brenda shared: “They’re all busy. Sharon Osbourne came to see me star in a couple of shows, like ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘Chicago’, but I’m not really in touch with any of the judges. As far as the acts are concerned, I’m in contact with Chico, Andy Abraham, Fleur East of course, and The Conway Sisters.”

Despite the end of ‘The X Factor’ in 2018, Brenda is all for its return and wouldn’t mind stepping back onto the stage herself, especially since live bands became part of the format after her time. She enthused: “I’d love it to return and I’d love to go on it again because during my time there we used backing tracks, but then two years later they introduced live bands. I think any singer would love to sing with a live band.”

  • Strictly Come Dancing 2024 rumoured line-up including Gino D’Acampo and EastEnders icon

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 rumoured line-up including Gino D’Acampo and EastEnders icon

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 is months away from hitting screens but the rumour mill is already in full swing, with a host of famous faces tipped to take part

Strictly Come Dancing 2024 might be a good few months off from sashaying onto our screens, but whispers about who’ll be stepping onto the dance floor this year are already swirling.

BBC fans are on tenterhooks to discover which celebs will be vying for the coveted Glitterball Trophy, and we’ve got the scoop on the potential contenders.

    Gino D’Acampo

The charismatic This Morning chef and telly star Gino D’Acampo has long been tipped for a twirl on Strictly, yet he’s never graced the ballroom, reports the Express.

Back in 2019, he spilled to the Daily Star that he’d been approached but time wasn’t on his side. Now, could the ex-I’m A Celeb champ be gearing up to dazzle us with his moves?

    Shona McGarty

After bidding farewell to Albert Square and her role as Whitney Dean after an impressive 16 years, Shona McGarty might just be swapping Walford for waltzing.

In a heart-to-heart with Best magazine in 2021, she confessed her dream of joining Strictly was only dampened by her jitters.

“I was asked a few years ago to go on the show”, she revealed. “But my anxiety got the better of me and I thought I would be too nervous to do a live show.”

    Hannah Waddingham

The name of Ted Lasso’s leading lady and vocal powerhouse Hannah Waddingham is also being bandied about for a spot in the Strictly 2024 line-up.

Rumours are swirling that 49-year-old Waddingham has been tapped by the BBC for a spin on the Strictly dance floor, and with her chum Anton Du Beke on the judging panel, she might just be persuaded to strut her stuff.

    Clive Myrie

BBC’s very own Clive Myrie, who has previously declined the glitterball challenge, could be hinting at a change of heart.

After posting a video clip showcasing his moves from ‘Clive Myrie’s Caribbean Adventure’ and cheekily tagging the Strictly account with “What do you say @bbcstrictly? Are my moves up to par? “, he’s got fans wondering if he’ll finally take the plunge.

On Morning Live, when probed about joining Strictly, Myrie playfully responded: “I don’t know. Who knows, maybe one day.”

Retired from cycling with an impressive haul of 12 Olympic golds, Dame Laura Kenny may now be setting her sights on a new kind of competition the glamour of the ballroom.

    Perri Kiely

Perri Kiely, the familiar face from Diversity’s 2009 Britain’s Got Talent victory and 2019 Dancing On Ice champ, is rumoured to join the Strictly line-up.

However, speaking to Digital Spy, he expressed concerns about potential backlash due to his dance background: “People thought I was cheating on Dancing on Ice, let alone Strictly Come Dancing.”

    Chris McCausland

Comedian Chris McCausland is reportedly set to join the 2024 series of Strictly, making him the first-ever blind celebrity contestant. However, he has not confirmed this news, even when directly questioned by Alex Jones on The One Show.

    Jill Scott

Former England footballer Jill Scott wowed fans in 2022 when she emerged as the winner of I’m A Celebrity. Professional dancer Neil Jones has expressed his desire for Scott to be his celebrity partner on Strictly Come Dancing, which could potentially sway the Lioness to agree.

He previously expressed interest in participating in Strictly, telling Express: “If the opportunity came up to go on Strictly as a contestant, I’ve never done Ballroom in my life, so it’d be interesting to see how as someone who breaks.”

    Mollie Pearce

BBC’s successful series The Traitors may have some of its cast members joining Strictly with season two runner-up Mollie Pearce’s name being mentioned.

Her participation could serve as a “positive moment of representation” given her stoma and limb difference.

    Perrie Edwards

Little Mix star Perrie Edwards volunteered herself for the dance competition during her appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show earlier this year.

She confessed that initially, she was “really scared” to dance in the band but eventually found her groove.

Perrie revealed: “I was just so terrified and uncomfortable dancing that I just didn’t want to do it I just wanted to stand and sing… Now, I love it. I absolutely love dancing. I actually would love it [Strictly Come Dancing].”

The name of Sophie Morgan, known for her role on Loose Women, has also been floated as a potential contestant for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

In addition to her work on Loose Women, she presents Channel 4’s Paralympics coverage. There were whispers of her joining the show in 2023, sparking speculation that this might be the year she steps onto the Strictly dance floor.

Strictly Come Dancing is to return later this year on BBC One.

Loose Women turns tense as Kelle Bryan is forced to confess awkward story

The Loose Women panel were back on Wednesday and things took a rather awkward turn during one segment.

ITV’s Loose Women appeared to turn frosty after Christine Lampard lured Kéllé Bryan to tell her embarrassing story.

The ladies were back in the hot seat for Wednesday’s instalment of the popular daytime show. Discussing the latest news headlines and other topical matters, Christine led the conversations, with Kelle, Judi Love, and Coleen Nolan also giving their takes.

During the show, the four women discussed some of the worst gifts they’ve ever received. As they shared their ordeals, Judi explained the time she was unexpectedly given a pair of “Spanx” as a gift from a man she had previously dated.

But things took a slightly awkward turn when Christine put the spotlight on Kelle and asked her what her most embarrassing gifting experience was. However, the Eternal singer didn’t take too kindly to Christine’s probing – insinuating it was something she didn’t really want to expose.

Snapping back at her jokingly, Kelle said: “Oh, well only on national television. Thanks, Christine.”

Things turned tense on the Loose Women panelLaughing the moment off, Kelle then shared her ordeal with her co-stars revealing that she once gave her daughter’s friend a gift that they had previously given her daughter before by accident – with the tag still on the item. As the audience laughed along, the panellist shared her disbelief at her unexpected experience.

While the four women shared their various stories, some viewers online took a much more cynical approach to what they were watching as many of them seemed to think the stories were not true. Heading over to X formerly known as Twitter, viewers shared their thoughts.

One social media user said: “I don’t believe a word of that Spanx story.” Another viewer sarcastically penned: “No scripts or made-up stories involved on this show.”

A third shared: “If you watch their body language and eyes you can tell they are making this s**t up.” While a fourth mentioned: [It] didn’t happen Kelle.”

Kelle’s awkward reveal on the show isn’t the first time a Loose Woman has been called out for letting things slip. Recently Natalie Cassidy called out panellist Charlene White when she spoke about something mentioned in private on the show.

ITV Loose Women viewers slam show as Nigel Farage is grilled amid racism and homophobia storm

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage made a guest appearance on the set of Loose Women this Friday but viewers were far from happy to see him as many took to social media.

ITV viewers were livid as Nigel Farage appeared on the Loose Women panel this Friday.

Kaye Adams took the reigns of the daytime ITV staple on June 28, starring alongside Gloria Hunniford, Kelly Holmes and Jane Moore. The presenter announced she would be chatting to both Shirley Ballas and the leader of Reform UK soon after at 1pm.

But as time ticked by and Nigel Farage still hadn’t entered the building, hopes of seeing him on ITV ahead of Thursday, July 4’s General Election seemed to dwindle.

“We are also expecting the leader of reform UK Nigel Farage to join us. He is not yet in the building but we will keep you posted. Hopefully he will be here, we’re off air at 1:30pm”, Kaye said.

Nigel Farage was grilled over an activist's recent racist, homophobic and Islamophobic claims, aired on Channel 4 News on Thursday

She then announced and ad break but with Nigel Farage still a no-show, the host added: “Fingers crossed Nigel Farage will be here.” Luckily, Kaye’s plea was answered as she returned to the screen announcing the politician had finally arrived in the studio.

Nigel Farage appeared on the programme as he responded to undercover footage shown by Channel 4 News in which a Reform UK activist, Andrew Parker, could be heard making homophobic, islamophobic and racist comments.

During his chat with the panel, Nigel Farage shared that the activist was, in fact, an actor and suggested that the segment shown on Channel 4 could have been “a set up”, which the broadcaster denied.

Nigel Farage said: “I don’t know whether he was paid or not but there’s something wrong”, before insisting as Kaye Adams asked whether he was accusing Channel 4 of setting everything up: “no but I’m saying it’s possible, something is wrong here.”

However, as Jane Moore then questioned Nigel herself, a string of viewers flocked to X, otherwise known as Twitter, to share their frustrations over his TV appearance.

“‘The establishment are out to get me, it’s a set up, wah wah poor me’-Farage”, one viewer quipped on social media, “#LooseWomen #Jane & #Kaye keep chipping in at the same time with Nigel…. it’s annoying”, a second fumed.

A third chimed in: “Nigel Farage with an absolute car crash of an interview on #LooseWomen and Dame Kelly absolutely looks furious he’s on. He’s a lowlife despicable c***. A gaslighting snake.”

Another commented: “A candidate affiliated to the Reform party has been caught on camera making outrageous and racist comments and they’ve got their leader on the show”, writing their message alongside a facepalm emoji.

One TV fan lamented: “The bias on @ITV towards Farage is just ridiculous now, weather he’s on GMB or #LooseWomen just the constant interrupting after 2 seconds, constantly accusing him of stuff, when he defends himself it’s just ignored and they carry on @Ofcom won’t investigate as it’s not GB News.”

However, a fourth argued: “Well done for being truthful and handling the bullying from them on #loosewomen . They never let you speak they just give you grief. #votereform”

Nigel Farage recently sparked a wave of complaints among viewers after appearing on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on June 18. His chat with Susanna Reid and Ed Balls, which aimed to promote his party ahead of the General Election prompted 471 of them to alert Ofcom over the way he was treated by presenters.

  • Channel 4 rejects Nigel Farage’s claim Reform UK racist was ‘set up’

Channel 4 rejects Nigel Farage’s claim Reform UK racist was ‘set up’

Broadcaster Channel 4 has rejected Nigel Farage claim that their undercover investigation into Reform UK’s campaign in Clacton was ‘a complete and total set-up’

Channel 4 has rejected a claim by Nigel Farage that its undercover footage of a Reform UK canvasser using racist language was a “set up”.

Party leader Mr Farage alleged on ITV’s Loose Women that their exposé was “a complete and total set-up”. He suggested Andrew Parker, who was filmed by Channel 4 on the campaign trail in Clacton, was being paid as an actor.

But the broadcaster has rejected the claim and said it strongly stands by its “rigorous and duly impartial journalism”. It denied paying Mr Parker or anyone else during its investigation. Mr Parker has also denied he was a “paid actor” set up to make Reform UK look bad. He confirmed to GB News that he is primarily a property developer and he does a small amount of acting on the side.

It comes as Rishi Sunak said he is “hurt and angry” about a Reform UK canvasser using a racial slur against him and said Mr Farage “has some questions to answer”. On a campaign visit to a school in Teesside, Mr Sunak told broadcasters: “My two daughters have to see and hear Reform people who campaign to Nigel Farage calling me an effing p***.”

Channel 4 has rejected claims Andrew Parker was being paid as an actor
Channel 4 has rejected claims Andrew Parker was being paid as an actor

When the comments were first reported Mr Farage said he was “dismayed” by them, adding that some of the language was “reprehensible”. He has since alleged that this “whole episode does not add up”.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, he said: “It was an act right from the very start.” He claimed Mr Parker, the canvasser, had been “rough speaking” and “not being himself”, adding that his racist remarks “all seemed a bit over the top”. He went on: “I have to tell you, this whole thing was a complete and total set-up, I have no doubt about that.”

Asked whether he thought Mr Parker had been paid, he said: “I don’t know whether he was paid or not.” He added: “I’m saying it’s possible, I don’t know. Something is wrong here.”

The undercover footage recorded by Channel 4 News showed Reform UK activist Andrew Parker saying the party should “kick Muslims out of mosques and turn them into Wetherspoons ”. He also said that army recruits should use asylum seekers crossing the Channel as “target practice”. And in the same conversation he used a sickening racist termto describe Mr Sunak.

Keir Starmer said he had been “shocked” by the footage, describing it as “clearly racist” and adding: “I think this is a test of leadership.” “You have to ask the question why so many people who are supporting Reform seem to be exposed in this particular way,” the Labour leader added.

Mr Sunak said: “When you see Reform candidates and campaigners seemingly using racist and misogynistic language and opinion, seemingly without challenge, I think it tells you something about the culture in the Reform party.

“Andrew Tate isn’t an important voice for men. He’s a vile misogynist. And our politics and country is better than that. As Prime Minister, but more importantly as a father of two young girls, it’s my duty to call out this corrosive and divisive behaviour.”

A spokeswoman for Channel 4 News said: “We strongly stand by our rigorous and duly impartial journalism which speaks for itself. We met Mr Parker for the first time at Reform UK party headquarters, where he was a Reform party canvasser.

“We did not pay the Reform UK canvasser or anyone else in this report. Mr Parker was not known to Channel 4 News and was filmed covertly via the undercover operation.”

In a statement to Channel 4 when the footage first came out, Mr Parker said:”I would like to make it clear that neither Nigel Farage personally or the Reform Party are aware of my personal views on immigration. I have never discussed Immigration with either Nigel Farage or the Reform Party and that any comments made by me during those recordings are my own personal views on any subject I commented on.”

He continued: “I would therefore like to apologise profusely to Nigel Farage and the Reform Party if my personal views have reflected badly on them and brought them into disrepute as this was not my intention. I offered to help the Reform Party on their canvassing as I believe that they are the only party that offer the UK voter a practical solution to the illegal immigration problem that we have in the UK.”

Loose Women’s Kaye Adams makes candid sex confession as co-stars gobsmacked

Kaye Adams left her fellow Loose Women co-stars stunned while on the ITV show as she admitted to secretly reading saucy novels as a child which helped her with her sex education

Loose Women star Kaye Adams made a rather risky confession during the latest episode as she revealed she was reading saucy novels from 10 years old.

Kaye along with panellists Kelly Holmes, Gloria Huniford and Jane Moore were back in the driving seat on Friday (June 28), as they discussed the latest topics across news and entertainment. But during the show, Kaye was quick to open up about her adult fiction book discovery and how she was reading raunchy novels at a young age.

Kaye said: “Like that kind of book, those kind of books- that was my sex education.” Jane chimed in and then jokingly said: ” See, I thought I knew everything there was to know about you until this morning when you mentioned at the age of 10 you were ready that sort.”

Kaye laughed it off and said: “The thing is my dear dad, he used to have this stash of novels but the lead character was called Ross Tobin- I always remembered this. He was an airline pilot that travelled the world and had a few ‘escapades’ do you know what I mean.”

Jane quizzed: Is it like confessions of a window cleaner but an airline version?” Kaye nodded along said she would read the erotic novels under her bed.

Kaye’s surprising tale got a few laughs from the audience in the studio. While one fan at home headed over to social media site X to write: “Kaye has sweat patches…. still thinking about those books,” they joked.

Later on in the show, things took a more serious turn when politician Nigel Farage came onto the show. Appearing on the programme to discuss the upcoming election, the Loose Women grilled him on other pressing matters.

Kaye firstly quizzed Nigel on homophobic and racist comments apparently made by a Reform UK member which was recorded by an undercover Channel 4 journalist as they campaigned for Nigel to become Clacton’s MP. However although he disagreed with the terrible language and behaviour used, Nigel told the panel that the person behind the racial and homophobic slurs was an “actor”.

He told the ladies: “I saw the footage last night and thought no one speaks like that. It was just stream after steam, no one speaks like that.”

He later added: “It turns out, he is an actor, I found his website. He’s a well spoken actor and he does something called rough speaking.” But Kaye and Jane interrupted Nigel’s trail of thought as they both were shocked that an actor would be hired to make the comments.

Exclusive: Catastrophic poll shows Tories have fallen even further behind Nigel Farage’s Reform UK

Our weekly poll shows just 18% of voters plan to support Rishi Sunak’s party. Keir Starmer’s Labour has the backing of 38%, while 21% say they plan to vote for Reform UK

The Tories have fallen even further behind Nigel Farage’s Reform UK, putting them on course for an election wipeout.

Our weekly poll shows just 18% of voters plan to support Rishi Sunak’s party with one week until polling day. Labour has the backing of 38%, while 21% say they plan to vote for Reform.

Both the Tories and Labour are down one point since last week, with Reform gaining a point.

Mr Sunak has failed to make any progress in reducing Keir Starmer’s commanding lead since he called the election.. Labour continues to be 20 points ahead, which is exactly how it was in our first poll of the campaign four weeks ago.

According to the latest survey, conducted by Whitestone Insight, the Lib Dems are down one point in the past week to 11%, as the Green Party has risen one point to 7%.

Lachlan Rurlander of the pollster said: “Reform UK has managed to sustain some momentum and achieved a three-point lead over the Conservatives, despite what has widely been seen as a difficult week for Nigel Farage.”

It comes as latest donation figures from the Electoral Commission show Labour managed to raise £8.6million in the first three weeks of the campaign as the Tories managed just £1.2million.

Mr Sunak today told of the hurt of his daughters after a Reform UK canvasser described him as a “f**ing p***”. Andrew Parker was filmed using the racist term about the PM as he campaigned for Mr Farage in Clacton. He also suggested migrants making dangerous Channel crossings should be used as “target practice”.

Another canvasser described the Pride flag as “degenerate” and suggested members of the LGBT community are paedophiles.

Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women, Mr Farage suggested the language of his supporters was “vulgar, drunken and wrong” and that they had been kicked out of the party.

Mr Parker said: “Of course I regret what I said. I’m old school. Christ, I’m not a racist. I’ve had Muslim girlfriends. It was typical chaps-down-the-pub talk.” Asked why he had made the remarks, he added: “It was in the heat of the moment. I was goaded on.”

ITV’s Loose Women erupts into laughter as Miriam Margolyes swears live on air

Loose Women was forced to apologise to viewers on Thursday afternoon after Miriam Margolyes swore live on air during her interview with the panel.

Loose Women descended into hilarity on Thursday’s show (July 4) when Miriam Margolyes dropped a swear word live on air.

The 83-year-old former Call the Midwife actress was on the ITV daytime programme to chat about her latest book, ‘Oh Miriam’, with host Kaye Adams and panellists Denise Welch, Olivia Attwood-Dack, and Nadia Sawalha.

Miriam candidly revealed the reason behind her book release, saying: “Because they paid me”, which sent the audience and panellists into fits of laughter.

Kaye quizzed her further: “Can they pay you to do anything Miriam? ” However, Miriam’s response was swiftly bleeped out due to its inappropriate nature, leaving the panel in stitches as Denise clapped her hand over her mouth in shock and Kaye shook her head disapprovingly.

Still laughing, Miriam questioned: “Am I allowed to say that, oh dear? ” before stating: “I wouldn’t eat faeces.”, reports the Express.

Kaye responded with a chuckle: “Thank you we do love the preferred name,” while the studio erupted with more laughter.

Nadia attempted to steer the conversation back by asking another question, but she stumbled over her words, clearly tickled by Miriam’s antics.

Later in the show, Miriam divulged another tidbit about her book, which recounts her personal stories and escapades, mentioning that it required legal vetting.

“It had to be excised by the legal people”, she disclosed, “I said things about people I didn’t like that could be libelous, and don’t want to get into a lawsuit.”
