Just when we were starting to think it had been a while since Boots launched its last beauty box, the health and beauty retailer has delivered an absolute sizzler of an edit. The high street chain has released a Limited Edition Buyers Picks Beauty Box, which saves shoppers over £100 on the contents.

The haul features a selection of products picked by shopping experts at Boots, including some seriously impressive brands like Fenty Beauty, Sol De Janeiro, Liz Earle, r.e.m beauty and more. Inside are 12 products, six are full-sized, with a total value of £156.95. Stacey posted a picture from inside their holiday home with the caption: “Made it. Straight into the sea. Going to have my and go join them”.

At 81 years old, Joe Biden is the target of backlash due to his seemingly fragile health – a worrying thought as many Americans, both in the United States and abroad, are settling on who they should vote for in the upcoming presidential election.

This Tuesday, June 18, the Loose Women panel wondered if the media coverage dedicated to the White House tenant was ageist, thus characterised by prejudice towards his advanced age.

Joe Biden has recently sparked worries over his ability to govern a whole country as he has been spotted during major events freezing and wandering off alone, leaving others around him to remind him of his engagements.

But when the discussion began, Kaye Adams noted she was surprised that Denise Welch, notoriously outspoken, had remained silent. “I can’t believe that you kept quiet all this time”, Kaye said before Denise offered a hand gesture indicating that it was only a matter of time until she shared her thoughts.

Minutes later, however, the former Coronation Street actress broke her silence – and caused yet another commotion on live TV and on social media.

Denise initially opted for a calm approach as she reminded co-stars and viewers of the existence of AI, before adding: “At the age of 81, we see enough images of Biden to know that the man is struggling.”

She then pointed out that the backlash targeting Joe Biden increased and worsened when he settled into his presidential role. Prior to this, the criticism targeting Joe Biden was deemed “cruel”, according to Denise.

When Kaye reminded her of the evidence possibly indicating that Joe Biden may not be fit for his role, Denise lost her patience: “Since Covid I believe nothing anybody says in the government or anything! I don’t believe a word of it.”

She added: “However, there is somebody that I know that was at a conference with Joe Biden at the White House. There are absolutely massive errors being made in the way that he is functioning. We know that he’s probably a puppet.”

Denise then reminded viewers what American citizens and Joe Biden are up against: “It’s the biggest power in the world and we’ve got the choice between a criminally convicted felon, candidate Donald Trump, and we have an 81-year-old man clearly showing signs of not being well. Is there not any other people in American that can run the country?”

Multiple viewers reacted to Denise’s comments with one penning on X: “I don’t think we see enough of Joe Biden to make an informed decision. We all know the media heavily manipulates what we do see, however I’m not sure someone of 81, who has shown he has some problems, is capable of making the decisions Biden needs to make.”

Another suggested: “They should let Let Kamala stand for President”, while a third wrote: “I wonder if maybe President Biden has Alzheimer’s or dementia but fears that it being made public would be damaging to his reputation. If he has either of those conditions, ppl should be more understanding than fearful/judgemental.”

On Monday, June 17, the White House criticised the Republican party for relaying videos meant to show Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline, claiming the images had been manipulated.

“It tells you everything that we need to know about how desperate Republicans are here”, said Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, branding the videos “cheap fakes.”

Loose Women panellist Nadia Sawalha has requested quiet celebrations for her milestone birthday, which may not include Ruth Langsford and other co-stars

Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha and Ruth Langsford won’t be ringing in their milestone birthdays together this year.

Nadia, who hits the big 60 in November, plans to have a low-key celebration with her nearest and dearest after consistently dismissing the idea of a surprise party for the past two years.

Although her Loose Women colleagues are likely to have something up their sleeves for her on the show that week, Nadia doubts Ruth, who turns 65 in March, will be involved. Discussing her birthday plans, she revealed: “I’m having a few days with my daughters, my sisters and hopefully, my closest friends.

“I’ve spent the last two years saying, ‘Nobody arrange a surprise, I’d hate it!’ I’ll be having a quiet one.”

When asked if she’ll be celebrating with Ruth, she told Woman’s Own magazine: “No because we’re never on [screen] together. She’s on a Monday and I’m on a Friday. I was astonished that Denise [Welch] is 66!”

While Nadia has nothing but praise for her Loose Women co-stars, she believes the key to maintaining long-lasting friendships is to keep them limited. She explained: “Don’t have too many because being a good friend takes hard work. For years, I was a real p**s head.

Ruth Langsford’s next milestone birthday may be different from her previous years, following her recent split from Eamonn Holmes. In May, Ruth’s representative told The Sun: “Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes have confirmed their marriage is over and they are in the process of divorcing.”

The duo tied the knot in 2010 and have a 22-year-old son Jack, while Eamonn has three other children from his previous marriage. Post-split, Ruth has been on a hiatus from Loose Women and hasn’t announced when she will return.

During her break, she’s been concentrating on her QVC projects and quality time with family and friends.

While Ruth herself hasn’t publicly commented on the breakup, Eamonn expressed gratitude for the support they’ve received on GB News, stating: “Before we move on, I would just like to thank people for their support for Ruth and I over the past few days. She added: “My youngest is an artist and my oldest is a singer and a fantastic actress, but I don’t think she’ll pursue it, which is a shame because she’s so good.

Viewers were expecting to see the Loose Women panel back on their screens this Wednesday after another This Morning instalment but much to their shock, the TV staple was cancelled.

Loose Women is the latest program to be removed from the air as ITV dedicates most of its coverage to the Euros 2024.

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard were back on the set of This Morning on Wednesday, taking up their usual 10 am slot. The pair welcomed BAFTA award-winning actress Suranne Jones as their last guest of the day, after a conversation about the European heatwave sent fans into an angry frenzy on social media.

The TV duo ended their show as Suranne, who is taking the helm of a documentary about witches on Channel 4, encouraged the crew of the morning staple to howl like wolves. The former Coronation street star will front Suranne Jones: Investigating Witch Trials this Sunday, June 23, at 9pm.

Over on X, otherwise known as Twitter, multiple viewers were waiting for the Loose Women panel to take over, without noticing that Cat and Ben had made mention of the program during their own time on the air.

In a huge twist, the advert break following This Morning made way for ITV’s Lunchtime News. The show will be followed by live coverage of the 17th edition of the European Championship from 1pm.

“Off to Bargain Hunt”, one fan quipped on social media, while another echoed: “No #LooseWomen today. I’ll have to find something else to moan about.”

ITV viewers at home were warned that the talk show would be back on our screens until Friday, June 21, when it will reprise its usual 12.30pm slot.

Soaps have most notably been affected with viewers having to go without their fix on Friday with both Emmerdale and Coronation Street being cancelled to make way for the Euros 2024 launch.

Over on BBC One, The Repair Shop fans have grown increasingly concerned for its future after the program was booted out of its own slot for the football tournament.

Fronted by Jay Blades, the renovation show returned for a 13th series in April, but with Scotland and Switzerland set to be going head to head this Wednesday, June 19, at 8pm, fans have been warned about its cancellation.

Jay Blades and his team will not be back the following week as the Beeb will air a General Election debate between Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Keir Starmer.

The new data, compiled by Acid Survivors Trust International, found 2023 to be the second consecutive year which has seen an increase, after a 69% year-on-year rise in 2022

Acid crimes have rocketed by 75% in a year, with women increasingly targeted.

Police recorded 1,244 offences involving corrosive liquids in 2023, up from 710 in 2022. Yet just 8% resulted in a suspect being charged. Some 36% of the crimes were physical attacks. For the past two years more victims are women and girls.

The rest of the crimes involved threats, carrying corrosives, and other serious crimes such as rape or robbery. Acid Survivors Trust International, which compiled the 2023 police data, said there had been a 69% year-on-year rise in 2022.

Executive director Jaf Shah said: “Acid violence is an escalating problem in our country, with women increasingly at risk.” He wants the next government to boost funding for prevention initiatives.

The figures come as the man who raped Loose Women’s Katie Piper approaches the end of his 16-year minimum jail term.

In 2009, stalker Daniel Lynch, 47, was jailed for life for arranging for acid to be thrown at Katie, then aged 24. Her face was severely burned in the attack.

Meanwhile, campaigning dad-of-two Andreas Christopheros, 38, is still being treated 10 years after he was blinded in an eye by sulphuric acid. He said: “I don’t believe the government is taking this seriously.

“Anyone using the corrosive substance to attack should get a minimum 20-year sentence. Statistics show the majority of victims are female and that is really scary.”

Katie PiperAmong them was an unnamed mum-of-two attacked in front of her young daughters by ex Abdul Ezedi, in Clapham, South London, in January and blinded in an eye.

Convicted sex offender Ezedi was later found dead in the Thames. The mum was discharged from hospital in May.

The highest number of recorded violent physical attacks were in Northumbria and London, with 81 and 72 respectively.

Newcastle University ophthalmology professor Francisco Figueiredo said: “Over the past five years there has been a concerning rise in the incidence of acid attacks, especially in the North East.”

The Home Office said: “Attacks on people involving acids or other corrosives can result in huge distress and life changing injuries.

“Under the Offensive Weapons Act 2019, it is illegal to sell and deliver corrosive products to people under 18 and possess corrosive substances in public.”

Natalie appeared as a guest panelist on the ITV daytime show, and dropped some bombshells about the advice she’d gotten on set from soap stars like Dame Barbara Windsor and June Brown. In an emotional admission, Natalie said: “Barbara, on a professional level, really helped me.

“She was very, very straight talking. She helped me go, ‘You need to be on time, you need to be polite to people, you need to be kind. You need to do your homework and know your lines and just be very grateful for the job’. I’ve taken that on board.”

As the audience applauded, Charlene cut in by saying: “She could be tough with you without saying a word. Like, if you’d had a night out when you were working the next day?” as Natalie retorted: “Thank you for that! It was a private conversation in the green room!”

“Hers was more about the craft and the acting. She’d always say, ‘darling, that sounds so boring’. She’d say ‘every line is a song. Think about how you say things, don’t be too monotone, and listening is better than reacting.’ I’m so grateful for them.”

Charlene then asked: “I know you don’t like to think of yourself as a soap legend but you absolutely are an EastEnders legend. So in your role, do you give the younger members of the crew nuggets of advice?”

Natalie responded: “They’re so good. They’re better than we were. They’re not out drinking all night, they’re meditating or talking about their sleep. I just tell them what I learned – be kind to people, learn people’s names, know the crew.”

It’s said that she’s worried about appearing as if she’s “abandoned” her ex, Eamonn Holmes, who has been battling chronic pain and now relies on a wheelchair and walking frame.

Claims have emerged that Ruth is torn between assisting her former partner and embarking on a new chapter in her life. A source revealed to Bella magazine that Ruth feels “terribly guilty” and seeing recent photos of a “frail has been torture for her” Eamonn has been incredibly difficult for her.

The source added: “Even though she has every right to live her life and do what is right for her – she’s convinced the public will see her as abandoning Eamonn in his time of need as he struggles with his health.”

Ruth has split from her husband

Friends of Ruth, described as a “sensitive soul”, have reportedly urged her not to be too hard on herself as she adjusts to her “new normal”. This comes after Eamonn expressed his hopes for their relationship in the future. Speaking to the Mirror, he acknowledged being on “borrowed time” while discussing his health issues.

“I’m not OK. This is not a good time at all,” he confessed to the publication before making an emotional appeal to his estranged wife. Reflecting on their 14-year marriage, he said: “It’s too early to say but I hope we can still be friends.”

Eamonn opened up about his shingles battle in 2018, revealing he was hit with the virus on his son Declan’s wedding day. During a stint on Loose Women in September 2021, he discussed his health struggle that left him unable to present This Morning three years prior. His ordeal with chronic back pain began unexpectedly in spring 2021.

He later found out it was due to three slipped discs affecting his right leg’s movement, forcing him to use a walking stick. The following year, he had to take a break from his GB news show to undergo crucial back surgery to alleviate his chronic back pain. Just weeks later, Eamonn suffered a shoulder injury after tumbling down the stairs at his Surrey home.

Loose Women viewers ‘switched off’ the Friday lunchtime episode of the ITV show as the panel got X-rated during a discussion about body hair

Loose Women viewers were left “disgusted” by an X-rated chat on the ITV lunchtime show.

As the ITV show returned for only the second time this week – owing to the football and the horse racing – fans were left switching off after being horrified by one topic of conversation. They all sat down to discuss body hair, with Kaye revealing she had one hair she wanted plucking – and agreed to do it live on air, which left fans feeling physically sick when they zoomed into it.

However, talk soon turned to other parts of the body, with Linda Robson giving a very graphic description of hair in a certain area. At first she discussed it being a “brown bush” before later admitting there were only “stragglers”.

Horrified viewers took to social media to fume over the segment, which aired at 12.45pm, around the time people would be eating lunch. One viewer wrote: “This is vile and it’s making me physically ill #loosewomen,” as a second added: “Oh fgs Linda needs the sack. She’s disgusting #LooseWomen.” A third penned: ” #loosewomen Really?????? This isn’t lunch time viewing. @loosewomen.”

“My hubby was eating his beef salad sarnie and he never gags at anything but their hair chat just had him bau lking! #LooseWomen,” a fourth wrote, with a fifth adding: “Omg this is gross!! Why the hell would we find this entertaining yuk #loosewomen.”

The conversation soon turned to other types of body hair, with pannelist Kaye Adams having one of hers removed live on air. Watching the segment, fans expressed their disgust on social media.

One wrote: “Good grief, whatever happened to tv standards. Tut!Tut! #loosewomen,” as a second added: ” @loosewomen Why did you show the tugging of a hair from a mole at lunchtime??? Thanks so much for that.” A third took to Twitter to share their disgust, writing on social media: “That’s disgusting, just spat my brew out #Loosewomen.”

Loose Women only aired on Monday this week and again today, as ITV have been leading the way with coverage on the Euros 2024 as well as the horse racing at Ascot Racecourse, which has been attended by the royals this week.

Loose Women star Coleen Nolan has revealed she couldn’t be happier as she opened up to the Mirror about a new edition to the family

Coleen Nolan is set to become a grandmother again.

The Loose Women star revealed in her latest newsletter for the Mirror that her family is set to become even bigger with the edition of a new grandchild. Jake, who Coleen shares with her ex-husband Shane Richie, surprised his mum with the new that he and his partner Georgia are expecting a baby.

Coleen revealed she’s been enjoying a week full of family surprises, including the early return of her daughter Ciara and her fiancé from her travels, her sister Maureen’s 70th birthday party and her sister Denise’s wedding. The Nolan Sisters star said: “The cherry on the cake was a visit from my son Jake and his partner Georgia.

“I can finally reveal that I’m going to be a grandmother again, as they’re expecting a baby at the end of the year. On Saturday, a few of us got together at my house for the gender reveal and, just as I said, ‘I think it’s a boy’, Jake let off the confetti gun and turned the living room blue. I couldn’t be more thrilled about having a grandson.”

Coleen shares Shane, 35, and Jake, 31, from her first marriage to Shane while Ciara’s father is her second husband Ray Fensome, who she divorced in 2018. It’s been a big year for Coleen with her daughter announcing her engagement in April.

Ciara revealed her boyfriend Max popped the question while in Vietnam. The Loose Women star’s daughter posted a photo of the couple holding hands as she showed off her new engagement ring. “This happened last night xxxx,” she captioned a photo of the ring. “It was like a fairytale and I can’t wait to spend forever with you @maxxiness I love you xxx.”

Coleen then shared a photo of the happy couple announcing the news to her followers. She wrote: “Well what can I say… I’m so so delighted that @maxxinnes has asked my beautiful girl @ciarafensome to marry him. I love them both sooooo much. Miss them even more! Can’t wait to see them. Off to buy a hat.”

In her Mirror newsletter this week, Coleen recalled being overwhelmed by her daughter’s surprise arrival home. She said: “Well, what an incredible week it’s been for family celebrations. My daughter Ciara and her fiancé Max surprised me by coming home early from their travels. My partner Michael, who was in on the secret, made me get out of bed at 8am on my day off, insisting I had to let the ducks out! So, I was sitting in the garden having a cuppa, wondering why he couldn’t deal with the ducks, when Ciara walked through the gates.

“I’m so happy to have her back and she’s already transformed the annexe at my new house into the most gorgeous little home for her and Max. My place, on the other hand, still looks like it’s been burgled!”
