Prince Harry risks being removed from line of succession in royal revenge plot. Prince Harry’s position as fifth in line to the throne could be in jeopardy due to his permanent residence outside the UK and absence of royal duties.

According to a source, discussions at the Royal Family’s summit at Balmoral this summer may not only address Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s titles but could also consider removing them from the line of succession. “The order of succession can be altered by statute if a member of the Royal Family permanently resides outside the UK and no longer undertakes royal duties,” said the source.

“If that were to happen, Harry’s children could also be removed from the line of succession.” Robert Blackburn, a professor of constitutional law at King’s College London, tells Express.co.uk that although living abroad is not a legal disqualification for becoming monarch, Prince Harry can still be removed from the line of succession by an Act of Parliament. “Like Edward VIII, Prince Harry does not wish to perform the role of royalty expected of him and has withdrawn to live abroad. Presumably therefore Prince Harry would be agreeable to abdicate his place in succession if for any reason this became an issue in royal affairs being legislated upon,” said Blackburn.

“Several Acts of Parliament have changed the law on succession or imposed conditions for becoming Monarch, notably the Bill of Rights 1689 and Act of Settlement 1701. More recently Edward VIII voluntarily abdicated and was replaced as King by his brother George VI by Act of Parliament in 1936.” Blackburn adds that for a constitutional measure like this, it is customary for the British Government to take the initiative and introduce the Bill – not the monarch. “Backbench MPs or Peers can technically introduce a Private Members’ Bill on the subject, but it would get nowhere and be blocked by the government from proceeding further than a formal First Reading,” said Blackburn.

“The only possible scenario, as I see it, is for there to be a Government Bill being prepared on another royal issue, such as an amendment to the Regency Act dealing with eligible counsellors of state, and a clause being added at the same time which Prince Harry himself requests that removes him from the line of succession as a mark of him clearly wishing to relinquish all ties to the public work of the Monarchy and Royal Family.” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their decision to step down as senior working royals in January 2020, stating that they planned to “work to become financially independent”.

The billionaire rapper is facing four lawsuits alleging sex trafficking and abuse

The Duke of Sussex has been named in a $30m (£24m) lawsuit against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, in which the rapper is accused of sex trafficking and sexual abuse.

Combs, who faces a litany of sexual assault allegations, is said to have drawn guests to his infamous parties through his VIP associations with “celebrities such as famous athletes, political figures, artists, musicians and international dignitaries like British Royal, Prince Harry”, according to the legal notice.

The 73-page lawsuit was filed last month by record producer Rodney Jones, and accuses the billionaire of being a serial sex abuser.

There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by the prince, and his name is only mentioned once in the documents as an example of a well-known celebrity associate of Combs.

Both Harry and his brother Prince William were pictured with Combs and Kanye West in 2007 after the musicians performed in the Concert for Diana at Wembley stadium.

In his lawsuit, Mr Jones accuses Combs of sexually assaulting him and claims that he threw parties attended by sex workers and underage girls.

He also alleges that Combs coerced him to solicit prostitutes and pressured him to have sex with them. The 54-year-old media mogul has denied the claims, which he described as “pure fiction”.

Combs is also facing lawsuits from three other women, while two of his properties in Miami and Los Angeles were searched by federal agents on Monday as part of the ongoing investigation.

US Homeland Security said: “Homeland Security Investigations New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners.”

In November last year, Combs was sued by his former girlfriend R&B singer Cassie, who alleged she had been raped, plied with drugs and assaulted by Combs over a 10-year period.

The suit was settled the next day, but the three other lawsuits followed over the next month, alleging that he had sexually abused the claimants or participated in revenge pornography against them.

In a statement in December, he described the claims as “sickening” and said his accusers were “looking for a quick payday”.

“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth,” he said.

Also known as P Diddy and Puff Daddy, Combs is one of the most influential hip-hop producers and executives of the 21st century, and has previously worked with artists including Usher, Notorious BIG and Mary J Blige.

Sean “Diddy” Combs hinted he invited Prince William and Prince Harry to one of his parties years before allegations about him surfaced. The rapper was arrested by federal agents last week, in connection to a number of civil lawsuits accusing him of sex trafficking, sexual abuse and rape.

The claims relate to infamous ‘Freak Off’ parties where victims would allegedly be drugged and forced to have sex – in some cases leaving them with such severe injuries that they needed weeks to recover from.

Lawyers acting for Combs, variously known as Sean ‘Love Combs, Puff Daddy and P. Diddy, insist that he is “an innocent man with nothing to hide.”

In a recently-unearthed interview from 2011, Diddy suggested he had invited Prince Harry and Prince William to one of his parties in their younger days.

Graham asked: “I read that you want to get Prince William and Prince Harry to the Diddy party.” Diddy replied: “Not any more, they’re off the list. But before, when they were young bucks they were getting up to trouble themselves. So I was like, ‘Hey, why don’t you come out and hang with me’.”

There is no evidence the royal brothers ever attended. Harry was named in one of the lawsuits against Diddy, but is not accused of any wrongdoing.

Producer Mr Jones states in the document, which was first filed in February, that people were drawn to the rapper because of his access to high-profile figures such as Harry.

According to Page Six, the Duke of Sussex and his brother William both met Diddy in 2007. They had hosted a party to thank everyone who took part in the ‘Concert for Diana’ benefit at Wembley Stadium.

At the concert, Diddy performed his 1997 hit “I’ll Be Missing You” which had originally been intended as a eulogy to the Notorious B.I.G.

At the backstage party after the show, Prince William was pictured shaking hands with the rapper, and Prince Harry was snapped embracing Diddy and rival rapper Kanye West.

Representatives for the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex were contacted for comment.

Employees of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have taken the extraordinary step of speaking out publicly about their treatment while working for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has had a difficult week in the American press, with an anonymous former employee speaking out over their treatment while in her employment, branding her “Duchess Difficult” and claiming that she could reduce some to tears.

Prince Harry’s former chief of staff Josh Kettler, who sparked days of intrigue when he made a hurried exit before the Duke and Duchess’ “quasi-royal” tour of Colombia, broke his silence over his time with the Duke to fight against the anonymous “Duchess Difficult” accusation. Stepping up to bat for his former royal patrons, Kettler told US Weekly the pair were “dedicated and hardworking.”

He went on to describe being “warmly welcomed” by Harry and Meghan when he started working for them. His comments were then echoed by another former employee, Ben Browning, who had been head of content at their Archewell Productions company, responsible for their jaw-dropping Netflix documentary.

The Mail reports Browning, who left before his contract was up, said the atmosphere at the company was “positive and supportive,” while their current ‘Global Press Secretary’, Ashley Hansen, added to the Sussexes’ love-in, as the couple’s allies worked to combat the allegations that Meghan is hard to work for, including that she is a “dictator in high heels.”

Hansen gushed that the Duke and Duchess paid special interest to her when she underwent surgery and had shown “the kind of concern and care a parent would express if it were their own child,” while sending her flowers and gifts to aid her recovery, according to comments made in the press.

During the rallying cry in the US media to defend the couple, it was also said that Harry and Meghan even gift their royal children’s old clothing to their workers and “care packages.”

The current press relations employee even said that “Meghan would personally reach out to my husband daily to make sure that we both were OK and had support. It meant so much to him and even more to me. You don’t realise how much that kind of kindness and thought means until you need it.”

Amid the attempt to change the narrative after weeks of speculation about high-profile exits, anonymous sources went on to say that, after purchasing a dog, they found themselves gifted luxury dog treats and a collar, while others got “unused car seats and baby items they no longer need.”

Raising worrying questions about the state of the Duke and Duchess’ larder, one of their current employees described how Harry and Meghan would apparently give away food and flowers to employees that visited their home in California.

Unsurprisingly, they said they were the “best bosses” and that “Whenever staff goes to their house, they leave with a basket with fresh flowers, fresh fruit, fresh eggs.”

He added that he could “never fill her shoes” because of “what she did and what she stood for and how vocal she was about this issue.” Five years ago, the prince called for action to clear Angola of landmines, urging leaders not to leave the work “half done”.

Harry also attended the Concordia Summit yesteday, where he spoke about the Diana Award, which was founded 25-years ago. It was launched in recognition of Diana’s belief that young people have the “power to change their community, their country and the world.”

He was joined two former Diana Award winners Christina Williams and Chiara Riyanti Hutapea Zhang, where they talked about the mental health crisis facing young people. The Duke, who wore a gold, square Diana Award badge, said: “I know that my mum would be incredibly proud of you guys, not just you, but all of the winners, and, Tessy – you’ve been in this for a very long time so thank you for that as well.

“But the way that you do it, your activism, your compassion, those two things are so true to how my mom led her life and what she believed in. And the way that you do it is incredible. So thank you.”
