Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s current and former employees have come out in full force to support the couple after the recent allegations about the Duchess published by a US publication.

Earlier this month, The Hollywood Reporter published a damning report labelling the Duchess of Sussex “Duchess Difficult” and claiming that her staff are allegedly “terrified” of her and her “belittling” behaviour towards them.

The outlet cited sources saying that Meghan “marches around like a dictator in high heels, fuming and barking orders”, with one source adding: “I’ve watched her reduce grown men to tears”.

Also included in the report were allegations regarding the Duchess’s “noisy tantrums” and “angry 5am emails” that earned her the nickname “Duchess Difficult”.

But since then various current and former employees have come forward to the Duchess’s defence and said the claims were “fabrications”.

One of them, the couple’s ex-chief of staff Josh Kettler labelled the Sussexes “dedicated and hardworking” and spoke of how he was “warmly welcomed” upon joining their team.

Meanwhile, the publication insisted on its sources, with Editor-In-Chief Maer Roshan saying: “Our reporter talked to I think a dozen people, most of them are people who work very closely with the couple in various capacities now and previously.”

He added: “Our reporter talked to a very high-up source who works for the couple who said: ‘Everyone is terrified of Meghan Markle’.”

However, even more current and former Archewell staffers have come forward and spoke of what it’s really like to work for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Ben Browning, Archewell’s former head of content, told Us Weekly that his experience working with Harry and Meghan has been “positive and supportive”, adding: “The narratives we’ve seen suggesting the contrary are untrue.”

Ashley Hansen, global press secretary to the Duke and Duchess and the head of communications for Archewell, spoke about her own experience with the couple when she had to take time off for a health issue: “When I told them, I was met with the kind of concern and care a parent would express if it were their own child. I was asked what I needed, how and if they could help, and told to take as much time as I needed.”

Ms Hansen claimed that Harry and Meghan sent flowers and care packages, “but most profoundly to me, Meghan would personally reach out to my husband daily to make sure that we both were OK and had support.

“It meant so much to him and even more to me. You don’t realise how much that kind of kindness and thought means until you need it.”

A current staffer who wished to stay anonymous described how colleagues were “dumbfounded by the claims”, adding: “It’s clear where this type of commentary is coming from. It’s likely made up from someone who’s disgruntled.”

They added: “They want to take care of us. Meghan will do things like, ‘You mentioned on the call your skin is bothering you, I put together a kit for you. ’Whenever staff goes to their house, they leave with a basket with fresh flowers, fresh fruit, fresh eggs.”

Meanwhile, a former employee praised the positive work environment and let slip how Harry casually chats to his employees during weekly Zoom calls.

A US think-tank plans to take further action after the latest ruling regarding Prince Harry’s US visa application.

The latest ruling regarding Prince Harry’s US visa application has been labelled “suspicious” by the same conservative Washington DC think-tank which initiated the requests to have the Duke’s immigration documents published.

Earlier this week, a judge ruled that the Duke of Sussex’s US visa application should remain private despite him admitting to taking drugs in his memoir, Spare.

Harry found himself in hot water after he released his memoir Spare in January 2023 and revealed he had previously used recreational drugs like cocaine, marijuana and magic mushrooms. Under US law, drug use can be grounds to reject a visa application.

The Heritage Foundation filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security demanding the publication of Harry’s visa documents following his explosive claims, claiming that the request was of “immense public interest”.

But in his latest ruling seen in court documents on Monday, US judge Carl Nichols said: “The public does not have a strong interest in disclosure of the Duke’s immigration records”.

The latest update prompted the executive director of the think-tank’s Oversight Project, Mike Howell, to say that the “Prince Harry scandal just got a lot more suspicious”.

He told Newsweek that the think-tank’s case is not over as they will seek to appeal the ruling, adding: “President Trump has already suggested that Prince Harry will be deported next year – and the case for that just got a lot more compelling! Americans deserve an immigration system with both secure borders and also fairly applied rules for high-profile immigrants like Harry.”

Mr Howell added: “It certainly appears that Harry was given special treatment… and now we know it for something so serious that it involves extensive redactions. Americans will know the full story soon enough… Perhaps, Mr and Mrs Markle will tell us what’s beneath the redactions on their next Netflix special.”

Judge Nichols’s ruling said: “Like any foreign national, the duke has a legitimate privacy interest in his immigration status.

“And the duke’s public statements about his travel and drug use did not disclose, and therefore did not eliminate his interest in keeping private, specific information regarding his immigration status, applications, or other materials.”

He went on to say the public’s interest in the disclosure of Harry’s immigration records is “outweighed by the Duke’s privacy interest.

“Public disclosure of records about a single admission of a foreign national in the circumstances described above would provide the public, at best, limited information about the department’s general policy in admitting aliens.

“And the marginal public benefit of knowing that limited information is outweighed by the privacy interest the duke retains in his immigration status and records.”

Charles and Camilla will arrive in Australia on October 18 and will spend six days in the country before flying to Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

It will be the most extensive royal trip for the 75-year-old monarch since he took over but rest days will be added in between.

A piece by The Hollywood Reporter earlier this month cited sources who laid into her leadership style, with one source calling her “absolutely relentless”.

A source close to the couple further claimed: “Everyone’s terrified of Meghan. She belittles people, she doesn’t take advice. They’re both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently.

“Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he’s very much an enabler. And she’s just terrible,” they opined.

But employees of the 43-year-old have now launched a passionate defence of her, emphasising the “concern and care” she shows staff.

A report by US Weekly titled “What It’s Really Like to Work for Meghan Markle” quoted former and current staff members who shared examples of the couple’s efforts to engender a happy workplace.

“When I adopted my dog, the next day, I had a luxury brand leash and new collar on my doorstep,” one ex-employee told the outlet.

New parents at Archewell, the Sussexes’ group of for-profit and not-for-profit business organisations, have also reportedly been given brand-new gifts and posh second-hand baby items from the couple.

An unnamed source who currently works for Meghan said the Duchess “will do things like: ‘You mentioned on the call your skin is bothering you… I put together a kit for you.’”

Staffers claimed that they leave with “a basket with fresh flowers, fresh fruit and fresh eggs” after meetings at the couple’s Montecito mansion.

Mandana Dayani, former Archwell COO spoke out against the reports, and described the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as “kind, decent, caring people”.

Speaking to US Weekly she said: “Part of the profound injustice of having to speak publicly on this in light of these endless and damaging narratives is that so much of the kindness, mentorship, and support that Prince Harry and Meghan share with others happens quietly behind closed doors.”

“Throughout every global crisis, their first question was always: ‘How can we help?’ Whether they were veterans, women, refugees, animals in harm, they both showed up,” she continued.

As you probably heard, Doria recently made claims in an interview that she worked as a flight attendant for Easyjet back in the 1980s.

However, the CEO of Easyjet has now come out and publicly denied this statement. He says company records show Doria was never employed by them during that time period. And you can bet Meghan is livid about it.
