Prince Harry has called for “people from the top” to “start listening” during his solo trip to South Africa without his wife, Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, reunited with his old friend, Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, and gave a passionate speech around a bonfire about the work his Sentebale charity has been doing.

Sentebale supports young people living with, or who are at risk from, HIV.

Prince Harry said: “We’re hitting the targets, not just Sentebale but all of the departments are, and it’s making a massive difference, and it is this surge of energy and optimism and the voice of young people ranging from six to 25 – and the biggest difference of which really needs more work, is when people from the top start listening.”

Prince Seeiso added: “This whole journey of Sentebale started from that element of [Harry] having come to the motherland – he’s now my younger brother Mohali, the warrior – but experiencing breathing the same air, eating the same food as the children… that inspired this dream to come to where we are now.

“But it is that deep-felt need that we want, collectively, to make a difference in our lifetime, and not only in our lifetimes, but to leave a legacy and pass on the baton to the next generation so that’s why we are going out in all different angles.”

The Duke’s kumbaya bonfire moment kicked off his South African tour yesterday – just hours after leaving Britain following a whistle-stop trip to the UK for the WellChild Awards, also without his wife.

The Duke first visited Lesotho in 2004 during his gap year, inspiring him to launch Sentebale in 2006. At the time, one in three children in the country had lost a parent to HIV AIDS-related illness.

The charity now works across Lesotho and Botswana, helping vulnerable young people and their families.

While the prince is in Africa, he also stopped off for lunch with the Royal Family of Lesotho, where he was pictured with a popular but lesser-known princess.

In a smiling photograph, Harry was spotted with Her Royal Highness Princess Senate Seeiso, 22, the eldest child of King Letsie III and Queen Masenate Mohato Seeiso.

The princess, who recently graduated from the University of Ottowa, shared a picture of her and Harry on Instagram and wrote: “Had the pleasure of hosting The Duke of Sussex today for lunch.”

Meghan Markle has “strategically chosen to hold off” from following in Prince Harry’s footsteps and releasing her own tell-all memoir for one key reason, an insider has claimed.

In January 2023, Harry’s explosive memoir ‘Spare’ saw him make several bombshell claims against several members of the Royal Family, including Prince William, Princess Kate, King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Since then, speculation has swirled Meghan could make a similar move to her husband but she has seemingly instead chosen to focus on the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

However, one insider believes the Duchess of Sussex may be holding out for the opportune moment to release her own tell-all book for one reason – and any authorised biography could make her “tens of millions”.

A source told Closer Online: “The word in publishing circles is that everyone’s mad to land Meghan’s memoirs and the numbers being thrown around are ridiculously high.

“We’re talking tens of millions for her authorised biography – it’s going to get to the point where she can’t say no.

“And love her or hate her, there’s no denying that she has an insight into the royals that no one else can share.”

They added: “She’s strategically chosen to hold off for the sake of peace, but she absolutely wants to share her truth – and why shouldn’t she?”

Prince Harry’s memoir Spare was a huge commercial success and reportedly earned him £27million, including an advance of at least £14 million, according to The Sun.

But relations with the Royal Family – particularly those with William – completely fell apart following the claims he made against some family members.

Harry travelled to the UK this week and was all smiles while attending an awards ceremony for the charity WellChild, although it is understood he did not meet any of the royals.

Royal Family LIVE: Expert warns Meghan ‘upset’ after William beats Sussexes at ‘own game’

A royal expert claimed Prince William’s latest move could be “upsetting” for Meghan Markle.

A royal expert has claimed that Meghan Markle could be feeling “annoyed” after Prince William went viral with his surprise reunion with ex-Sussex friend, David Beckham.

The Prince of Wales was joined by the England footballing legend at RAF Northolt on Tuesday to mark the end of the London Air Ambulance’s ‘Up Against Time’ appeal that has raised £16m for two new helicopters, just hours after Prince Harry’s fleeting visit to the UK to attend the WellChild awards on Monday.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle enjoyed a close bond with the Beckhams, with the couple attending their wedding in 2018, however, their relationship has reportedly become more strained over the years.

Asked by journalist Andrew Gold about whether Prince William “beat Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at their own game” and whether his latest outing with David Beckham would “annoy” her, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said on his Youtube show: “Yes, I do think that this is something that will annoy Meghan Markle.

“After two weeks of bad press since Prince Harry’s been gone. I just think that she’s probably livid right now, based on the reaction that she’s getting from all of these stories. She’s had to deal with that while Prince Harry’s been out of town. That’s gotta be incredibly hard for her. And then to see this kind of victory moment from Prince William. A victory moment that she would tell you it should have been Harry’s moment after the WellChild awards, that would be upsetting to her.”

Prince Harry begs people to ‘start listening’ as he opens up on Lesotho trip without Meghan

Prince Harry has kicked off his solo trip to Southern Africa after a fleeting visit to the UK and joined a bonfire event in Lesotho, where he made an impassioned plea

Prince Harry has begged “people at the top” to “start listening” as he kicked off his solo trip to Africa without Meghan Markle.

After several days in New York last week and a fleeting visit to the UK earlier this week, the Duke of Sussex has now headed to Lesotho for his first trip to Southern Africa in five years. While there, he reunited with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho, with whom he co-founded his charity Sentebale.

Set up in 2006, the organisation supports children and young people in Lesotho and Botswana living with, or who are at risk from, HIV. Last night, Harry caught up with Prince Seeiso around a bonfire at a children’s centre in the small country.

And there he talked about the impact of his Sentebale charity and made an impassioned plea. During a speech, Harry said: “We’re hitting the targets, not just Sentebale but all of the departments are, and it’s making a massive difference, and it is this surge of energy and optimism and the voice of young people ranging from six to 25 – and the biggest difference of which really needs more work, is when people from the top start listening.”

At the bonfire welcome event, Harry was also greeted by those who support Sentebale and enjoyed a performance from dancers and a choir. Earlier in the day, it emerged he had enjoyed lunch with Princess Senate Seeiso in Lesotho, which is often called the ‘Mountain Kingdom’.

During the rest of his Africa trip, Harry is expected to gather with world business leaders and philanthropists in the region to work towards fostering prosperity in Southern African communities, specifically for young people, with a series of events in Lesotho and Johannesburg, South Africa.

It comes after his brief trip to the London, which saw him appear at the WellChild Awards on Monday night where he paid tribute to the children and teenagers recognised by the charity, who act as carers, fundraisers or just carry on with life as they cope with debilitating conditions.

His brief trip to the UK came after a string of solo outings in New York last week, where he spoke at several high-level summits connected to the United Nations General Assembly and also appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. While at the WellChild Awards, Harry met one of the winners, Scarlett Cripps, who was recognised for her uplifting attitude despite living with a number of complex medical conditions.

On meeting Harry, the 10-year-old gave him a set of crystal hearts – a blue one for himself, a green one for his son Prince Archie, a yellow heart for his daughter Princess Lilibet and a purple crystal heart for Meghan.

And afterwards, Scarlett’s mum, Aby Cripps, revealed: “Scarlett told Harry she filled the crystal hearts with love and whenever he had a bad day or sad day he had to squeeze the heart and it would show him how special he was and make him smile. He said it was a lovely gesture and he hadn’t seen his wife and his children because he was travelling here, so he’ll take it out later and squeeze them and it will remind him of his lovely wife.”

His brief trip to the UK came as relations with his father King Charles and brother Prince William remained strained. And despite travelling thousands of miles from California, it appears that Harry did not see his older sibling or his father, who is receiving treatment for cancer, during his brief stint in the country, as he remained in Scotland following engagements north of the border.

  • Prince William has ‘no room in his heart to make big Prince Harry move’

Prince William has ‘no room in his heart to make big Prince Harry move’

A royal expert has claimed that when it comes to making a major move toward his brother Prince Harry, that Prince William has ‘no room in his heart’ for reconciliation

When Prince Harry entered a new decade of his life upon his 40th birthday, royal fans were shocked to see his brother Prince William and sister-in-law Princess Kate send him well wishes on social media – after years of the brothers enduring a pretty strained relationship.

The major olive branch followed King Charles sending his youngest son a birthday message on the Royal Family’s official social media accounts but one royal expert has claimed that the public shouldn’t expect the somewhat icy relations between the two brothers to thaw entirely just yet, even if the birthday post was a step in the right direction.

Prince Harry in particular has been candid about the difficulties in his relationship with his elder brother Prince William, and their relationship was explored extensively in Harry’s bestselling memoir Spare. Equally, in a series of interviews Harry has given since stepping back as a working royal, he has made some bombshell claims against his brother and other senior royals, opening up about some of the reasons why he felt he had to move his family to California and leave life inside the monarchy behind.

In Spare, Harry traced some of the issues between him and his brother all the way back to their childhoods and explored how in his view, their different roles and destinies within the House of Windsor had such a big impact: with his own role as the second son, a foil to William as the heir, creating competitiveness between them from a young age.

For his part, William has reportedly said when Harry and Meghan announced they were stepping back as working royals – according to the Sunday Times – “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that anymore; we’re separate entities. I’m sad about that”. The last few years have seen the brothers rarely come together, and only attend a handful of major events – like their grandparent’s funerals and King Charles’s coronation – together. The birthday message therefore came as a surprise to many, but one royal expert has claimed that despite the fact it is for many royal fans a welcome step in the right direction, they shouldn’t expect the brothers to fully set aside their differences any time soon.

“I still think things are too sensitive for a meaningful reconciliation with William, but the fact that he and Catherine authorised the greeting to be posted is definitely an unexpected turn of events. I don’t think we should hold our breath for the step to really signal the start of a reconciliation, but it was an unexpected turn of events,” explained Jennie Bond – formerly the BBC’s royal correspondent – to OK magazine.

However, Bond noted that in her opinion, Kate’s recent health challenges were likely to have informed the move, and pointed out that the future Queen’s comments in a recent video released to announce the end of her chemotherapy included some about how her experiences had helped shift her perspectives. “William has so much on his plate at the moment that I don’t think he has room in his heart or head to deal with all that has gone on with Harry,” the expert added. “While the brothers may never be close again, or even live on the same continent, it doesn’t mean that the future has to be full of bitterness and bad blood. Catherine is right. Family should always be paramount.”

The Duke of Sussex appears to have taken a solo trip to Lesotho and South Africa for his Sentebale charity – and was captured mingling with South African royals

Prince Harry has been spotted in South Africa for the first time since making a visit for his Sentebale charity – as he posed for a photo with his arm wrapped around the Princess of Lethoso, Senate Seeiso.

The Duke of Sussex, who recently turned 40, appears to have taken a solo trip to Lesotho and South Africa, with no mention so far of wife Meghan Markle, or their two children Archie and Lilibet, joining him. Dressed in a white shirt, dark blazer and slim-fitting jeans, Harry smiled as he stood with Lesotho Senate Seeiso in a snap she posted to her Instagram page. The 22-year-old wrote: “Had a pleasure of hosting a lunch today”, as she shared the image in a reel.

During his visit, Harry is expected to gather with world business leaders and philanthropists in the region to work towards fostering prosperity in Southern African communities, specifically for young people.

He co-founded his Sentebale charity with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho back in 2006, and is now working to bring together leaders from Google’s charitable arm and several other companies and organisations for a series of meetings in Lesotho and Johannesburg, South Africa.

Speaking about the philanthropy work he plans to undertake in the region, Harry said of the charity: “Through its work in Lesotho and Botswana, Sentebale has developed a profound understanding of local youth – their passions, their concerns, and their extraordinary creativity. These young adults are eager and capable of driving meaningful change, yet significant barriers still stand in their way.

“As we head towards our 20th anniversary, our ambition has grown, giving us the confidence to bring our skills and experience in designing solutions with young people, and to leveraging our convening power to engage with leading regional players and global funders so we can add Sentebale’s voice to addressing the challenges faced by the next generation in Southern Africa.”

On Monday, Harry was at a central London hotel as he attended the WellChild Awards ceremony to honour some of the country’s bravest children, while supporting a charity he has been a patron of for 16 years. He was just two miles from Buckingham Palace, but did not appear to visit King Charles, and was less than an hours drive from his older brother William’s home.

Princess Beatrice pregnant with second child – and shares adorable new family snap

Princess Beatrice, who is already mum to daughter Sienna, has revealed he is pregnant and expecting her second child with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi

Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child with husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, it has been announced.

The late Queen’s granddaughter, 36, and her husband, 40, are set to welcome their new addition to their family next year in early spring and announced the news with two adorable family snaps. The royal baby will be a little brother or sister for the couple’s three-year-old daughter Sienna, and Mr Mapelli Mozzi’s son and Beatrice’s stepson, eight-year-old Wolfie.

Two new pictures from the family shared to mark the announcement and show blonde-haired Sienna from behind as she walks along a country lane, holding hands in the middle of her father and big brother Wolfie. The youngster, with a red bow in her hair, is kitted out in bright yellow wellies and an all-in-one blue waterproof puddlesuit decorated with cloud and bird motifs.

In another picture, an overjoyed Beatrice – wearing a black puffer jacket – smiles at the camera, while being embraced by Mr Mapelli Mozzi, who is gazing at his wife. Buckingham Palace said in a statement: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting their second child together in early spring; a sibling for Wolfie, aged eight, and Sienna, aged three. His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

The happy news comes during one of the Royal Family’s most personally challenging years, with the King, the Princess of Wales and Beatrice’s mother Sarah, Duchess of York all being diagnosed with cancer.

Sarah was treated for malignant melanoma skin cancer in January, just months after undergoing a mastectomy for breast cancer, but Beatrice said in May the duchess had been given the “all clear”. Meanwhile, last month, her dad Prince Andrew’s controversial Newsnight grilling over his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein hit the headlines once again, with Prime Video’s new dramatisation A Very Royal Scandal.

Beatrice is the eldest daughter of the Duke of York and his ex-wife Sarah, and the new baby will be the Yorks’ fourth grandchild. The baby, who will not be an HRH, will be born 11th in line to the throne, with Beatrice’s younger sister Princess Eugenie moving down to 12th place.

He or she will also be the 14th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the second to be born since her death in 2022, following the arrival of Eugenie’s second child Ernest last year. Eugenie also has an older son called August.

It’s not expected that the King will hand out a title to the newborn when he or she arrives. But the baby will get a unique title thanks to Edoardo, who is actually an Italian count.

Speaking to the Daily Mail previously Edoardo’s dad, Count Allessandro Mapelli Mozzi, explained: “Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation. He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna.”

Beatrice topped the list of Tatler’s best dressed people in 2024, and was praised for being “a beacon of sartorial elegance” by “pairing vintage-inspired cuts with fresh-from-the-catwalk glamour”. She married millionaire property tycoon Mr Mapelli Mozzi in a secret lockdown wedding in 2020 attended by her grandparents the Queen and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, after her planned ceremony was postponed because of the pandemic.

Known as Edo, Mr Mapelli Mozzi is the son of former Olympic skier Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi and Nikki Williams-Ellis. His son Christopher Woolf, nicknamed Wolfie, was born in 2016 to his then-girlfriend, American architect and designer Dara Huang.

Beatrice has described Wolfie as her “bonus son” and he joined the Mapelli Mozzis at Kate’s Together At Christmas carol service in Westminster Abbey last December, holding hands with his stepmother as he arrived.

A source says that the 21st in line to the throne says that she claims she is the ‘only one’ who can get through to Prince Harry and Prince William amid their ongoing fued

An insider has revealed that a ‘PR gold dust’ royal is taking on the role of peacemaker in the ongoing rift between Prince William and Prince Harry.

The relationship between Harry, who turned 40, and his elder brother, now 42, has reportedly soured since Harry’s move to the US with Meghan Markle in 2020, sparking rumours of a deep-seated feud.

A source told Woman’s Day however that Zara Tindall, aged 43, is trying to act as a mediator to improve cousin Harry’s relations with other senior members of the Royal Family.

“Zara figures there couldn’t be a better time for her to try and broker peace. Zara feels she’s the only one who can get through to both of them,” the source said.

Despite the shocking revelations in Harry’s book ‘Spare’ and his interviews after leaving Royal duties, he is still “missed” by the establishment, reports Gloucestershire Live.

They added: “No one likes to admit it, but for all his mistakes, everyone misses Harry.”

Speculation about a potential reconciliation within the Royal Family has been swirling throughout 2024, fuelled by whispers of Harry’s possible permanent return to Britain.

Hopes for a thaw in relations were sparked when the Prince and Princess of Wales publicly wished Harry a happy 40th birthday.

However, GB News has reported that despite this public gesture, the brothers have not resumed communication.

Zara Tindall and her husband Mike are being hailed as “PR gold dust” for the Royal Family, as their rising popularity triggers demands for them to take on more Royal duties.

A former Downing Street press secretary who has become a seasoned Royal commentator, Giles Kenningham commented on the couple’s growing influence, saying: “The Tindalls work very well on that level they have had their own careers.”

He further noted, “They are independent financially and they conduct themselves well. You certainly don’t see them staggering out of the back of bars.”

Zara Tindall, unique among royals, was brought up without a title after her parents chose not to bestow one upon hera decision she has openly valued. Reflecting on this in a 2015 The Times interview, Zara acknowledged: “I’m very lucky that both my parents decided not to use the title and we grew up and did all the things that gave us the opportunity to do.”

As an athlete, Zara garnered acclaim by securing a silver medal in team eventing at the 2012 Olympic Games, representing Great Britain with distinction.

Representatives for Prince William and Zara Tindall were asked to comment, while a spokesperson for Prince Harry opted not to respond.

The news that King Charles has made a final decision regarding Meghan’s titles has sent shockwaves through both royal circles and the general public.

In a world where royal drama captures the headlines and keeps us on the edge of our seats, the latest twist involving Meghan Markle has set tongues wagging and social media ablaze.

The news that King Charles has made a final decision regarding Meghan’s titles has sent shockwaves through both royal circles and the general public. But what does this mean for Meghan, her family, and her future in the UK?

Buckle up as we dive into the captivating world of royalty, media frenzy, and the intriguing life of Meghan Markle.

Let’s just say that they aren’t her biggest fans, and we are not talking about her Hollywood movies or television work.

Many royal fans and critics alike have noticed that the royal family made an effort to wish Prince Harry a very happy 40th birthday but completely ignored Meghan Markle on her 43rds birthday earlier in the month. And of course, a lot of people want to know why.

This Is The Reason Why The Royal Family Is Leaving Out Meghan Markle

Apparently, there’s a reason why Meghan was left out from the birthday wishes and has not even been mentioned on any of the royal family’s social media accounts since she and Prince Harry pulled the plug on their working relationship with the royals back in 2020.

It’s being heavily speculated on social media that the royals would like to have Prince Harry back in the royal fold but simply do not want Meghan anywhere near them, let alone back in the royal family.

If that weren’t enough, a lot of people also noticed that the royals used a ‘cropped’ photo of Prince Harry for his birthday post.

However, one expert said that it is “standard practice to crop images to get singles, as has been done here.”

Royal Family News – What’s Next For Meghan Markle?

The expert also added that Meghan’s exclusion was not intentional, even though some people might have seen it that way.

Either way, the royals have made it pretty clear that they want nothing to do with the Duchess of Sussex and don’t plan on wishing her a happy birthday anytime soon, or ever at all.

For Meghan’s part, it doesn’t seem like she’s too bothered about it all.

That’s because she’s made it clear on her end as well that she has no plans to ever step foot on UK soil again, even if it’s for a royal family member’s funeral. She simply doesn’t want to be there.

So far Meghan Markle herself has not made any comments about the matter.

For now, let us know what you think by leaving us a line with your thoughts in our comments section below.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were criticised over their actions after they put their Sussex brand “in its death throes”, according to a royal commentator.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have embarked on their own projects this year, with Harry making solo appearances involving his life’s passions and promoting his charity work.

Meghan has been working on her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, and a new cookery show that was meant to coincide with it.

Now a series of royal experts have commented on how their efforts to promote their global brand as a “power couple” have not worked out for them.

Columnist Angela Mollard told Sky News Australia: “They went over to America, they were going to be a power couple, who were going to be the next Michelle and Barack Obama or the next George and Amal Clooney and that hasn’t worked out for them.

“So they’re very much looking into separate professional lives. They’re sort of managing instead of being [seen as] a team, now being seen as two individuals, pursuing very different careers.”

Sky News contributor Louise Roberts added: “Brand Sussex as a going concern together clearly is in its death throes.

“I think they both need to play to their strengths. Another mistake they’ve made is pinning their great romance and love story, the big story of redemption and freedom from the ‘evil’ Royal Family to their professional footprint.”
