Nearly two years after Prince Harry’s explosive memoir, Spare, hit the bookshelves, causing a global stir with its shocking revelations about the Royal family, the bestseller has finally been released in paperback.

On October 22, the Duke of Sussex’s memoir was officially launched as a paperback in the United States, where he now resides, with the UK edition set to follow on October 24.

Despite the second printing, Penguin Random House confirmed that “the content of the book remains unchanged”, including the heartfelt dedication to his loved ones that prefaces the book.

“For Meg and Archie and Lili…and of course, my mother,” wrote Prince Harry in the dedication of Spare, first published in January 2023.

The tribute honours his wife Meghan Markle, their children Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, and includes a touching reference to his late mother, Princess Diana, who tragically died in a Paris car crash in 1997.

The book’s epigraph – the quote that opens the book – is also particularly poignant, opening with a moving line from Requiem for a Nun by William Faulkner: “The past is never dead. It’s not even past.”

The decision to refrain from adding new chapters to Prince Harry’s memoir in its paperback release could signal a move towards mending fences with his Royal relatives, who were less than pleased with the book’s initial revelations.

The original edition included explosive allegations such as Prince William knocking Harry down, William and Kate influencing Harry’s infamous Nazi costume, Camilla being labelled a “wicked stepmother”, and accusations of her leaking stories about Harry to the press.

These bombshells undoubtedly exacerbated tensions within the monarchy. However, by choosing not to stoke the flames with additional content, this could be interpreted as an extended olive branch, particularly during a year marred by health concerns for King Charles, Princess Kate, and Sarah Ferguson, all of whom have faced cancer battles, reports The Mirror.

After hitting the shelves on January 10, 2023, the explosive memoir sold a staggering six million copies globally, earning a spot in the record books as the fastest-selling non-fiction book of all time, as per Guinness World Records, with over six million copies sold worldwide.

The book provides an unflinching and often emotional look at Harry’s life growing up as a royal, tackling numerous pivotal moments head-on – with its title referencing the age-old phrase “the heir and the spare”, a nod to his experience living in the shadow of his older brother.

Meghan Markle decided not to go to the King’s Coronation after being unsatisfied with a reply she had previously received from the monarch after she sent him a letter, a source revealed.

The duchess, 43, reportedly sent the King a letter when he was The Prince of Wales after her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The bombshell interview, which also included Prince Harry, hurled a number of accusations at the Royal Family, including the suggestion that certain members of the Firm had been concerned about the skin colour of the couple’s unborn baby.

According to reports, Meghan wrote a letter to Charles about the matter and even reportedly told him who made the remark.

The letter came after Charles had reached out to Meghan over the family rift.

However, sources told The Telegraph that the duchess was unimpressed with his reply, which was one of the reasons she did not attend his 2023 Coronation.

Prince Harry flew to the UK alone for the event last year and was seated next to his cousins, which was rows behind his brother Prince William, who he no longer speaks to.

The duke flew in especially for the ceremony and left soon after. It is believed he did not have a one-to-one meeting with his father during this time.

Since then, Harry’s relationship with the King seems to be on more stable footing, with the pair having spoken over the phone for the duke’s 40th birthday last month.

Harry also flew to the UK to see the King for a short meeting after finding out about the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.

The meeting was believed to have lasted less than an hour, with Prince William not joining the pair at Clarence House depsite the circumstances.

Personal trainer Mr Daniels had been missing since getting into difficulties at the Oldham beauty spot on Sunday

The body of missing paddleboarder Simon Daniels has been recovered from Dovestone Reservoir. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say the search for personal trainer Mr Daniels has come to a close after the tragic discovery this evening (Wednesday).

Emergency services, including water search teams, police officers and fire crews, descended on the scene and the woman was rescued. She was treated for hypothermia and shock.

However the man, who has now been named as Simon Daniels, reportedly got into difficulty in the water. Searches have been ongoing to find the personal trainer from Cheshire in the days since.

The royal family is always a topic of interest, blending tradition with modernity and creating drama and intrigue. Recently, Princess Charlotte has taken on a new role, moving Meghan Markle and the Sussexes into the background. Is Princess Charlotte becoming the new favorite in the royal family? This could signify a significant shift—get ready for a wild ride!

When we think of the Royals, we often picture Queen Elizabeth II and Prince William. However, Princess Charlotte, the daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton, is now gaining attention as she prepares to take on a bigger role while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry step back from the royal scene. King Charles has grand plans for Charlotte, and her new role may very well overshadow Meghan Markle’s time in the spotlight.

This strategic move could position Charlotte as a top royal, potentially in response to the Sussexes’ departure. But why now? King Charles is eager to shape the monarchy’s future, aiming to streamline the family and focus on those who will lead. Unlike her brother, Prince George, Charlotte is not destined for the throne, allowing her the freedom to carve out her own path. King Charles is fully prepared to support her.

So, what does this mean for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry? Their decision to leave the royal family is being contrasted with Charlotte’s rising prominence. It’s as if the monarchy is signaling that it’s time for a change.

Remember when Meghan and Harry left? It was a bold move that sent shockwaves through the monarchy. Many believed it would modernize the royal family and put the Sussexes in the spotlight, but the narrative has shifted. Princess Charlotte is now taking on more responsibilities, attending more official events, and even earning praise from the Queen, all while Meghan Markle builds her brand in the U.S.

Is Charlotte’s rise a strategic maneuver to sideline the Sussexes? It seems that way. Meghan Markle has always been a point of debate. Her dramatic journey in and out of the royal family has been well documented, and her decision to leave was seen as an escape from royal pressures. Now, as Charlotte garners increasing attention, Meghan faces new challenges in establishing herself in a world that seems to be moving on without her.

Charlotte is quietly becoming the royal everyone wants to see. Unlike Meghan’s tumultuous path, Charlotte’s charm and growing responsibilities are winning hearts. Insiders suggest that Meghan feels pressured by Charlotte’s growing popularity. With King Charles elevating Charlotte’s role, Meghan may feel sidelined, leading to rumors of her frustration—being overshadowed by an eight-year-old is certainly unusual.

As Charlotte takes on her new role, the Sussexes’ future within the royal family appears uncertain. They once aimed to modernize the monarchy, but now they seem to be on the sidelines. Charlotte’s growing fame has widened the gap between the Sussexes and the rest of the royals. Will Meghan and Harry attempt to regain their royal status, or will they remain on their path of independence away from the monarchy? Only time will tell.

One thing is clear: Princess Charlotte is here to stay. Her rise marks a new chapter in the British monarchy. As the royal family enters this new era, Charlotte is poised to play a significant role. While this shift excites royal fans, it also stirs contention for Meghan and the Sussexes.

So, what do you think? Is Princess Charlotte the new royal to watch? How will Meghan Markle respond to these changes in royal dynamics? Share your thoughts in the comments below because this royal saga is far from over.

This situation goes beyond a simple rivalry. Princess Charlotte represents the future of the monarchy, while Meghan Markle was initially seen as a breath of fresh air. However, the royal world is unpredictable, and there’s always someone ready to take the spotlight. Charlotte’s appeal lies not only in her royal status but also in her youth, innocence, and potential as a new kind of royal. Her rise feels natural, in stark contrast to Meghan’s journey, which has been fraught with scrutiny and hostility.

As the Sussexes step back from royal duties, they are focusing on media projects, personal ventures, and activism. While these efforts have drawn attention, they have not always garnered positive reactions, with some viewing Meghan’s actions as attempts to overshadow the monarchy. In contrast, Charlotte’s quiet rise may serve as the palace’s way of demonstrating loyalty and drawing a line between those who remain committed and those who don’t.

Looking ahead, Princess Charlotte’s new role could signify significant things for her future. Imagine a young royal loved by all, navigating today’s world. Charlotte is likely to become the face of a modern monarchy, tackling global issues and appealing to young people in innovative ways. Having been born into royalty, she knows the rules and has the royal support necessary to thrive without needing to reinvent herself. However, Charlotte’s path will not be without challenges, as she will inevitably face media scrutiny and questions regarding her role in the Sussexes’ departure.

With Charlotte rising, Meghan faces a clear challenge: she must redefine her relevance outside the royal family. This could be a defining moment for Meghan, as she seeks to establish herself as more than a former duchess. If she can carve out an independent niche, she could secure her legacy as a trailblazer. But remember, the competition between Meghan and Charlotte is more than just personal; it’s symbolic. Every appearance Charlotte makes serves as a reminder of the Sussexes’ departure.

Will Meghan increase her media presence, or will she choose to step back? This choice will undoubtedly shape how the public perceives both women. Are we witnessing the beginning of a new favorite? Public opinion plays a crucial role in this royal drama. Meghan’s popularity has fluctuated based on media coverage, while Charlotte is quickly gaining fans, solidifying her status as a new favorite.

Charlotte’s playful nature and growing responsibilities are winning hearts. Her charming public appearances make her hard to resist. Conversely, Meghan’s image remains divisive; some perceive her departure as a betrayal. This makes the comparison between Charlotte and Meghan even more intriguing. Will Charlotte’s rising popularity damage Meghan’s reputation, or can they both find their own paths to shine?

Princess Charlotte’s new role signifies a considerable shift in royal dynamics. With King Charles at the helm, the monarchy is evolving, and Charlotte’s rise is a natural step into this new era. Now, Meghan must demonstrate that her post-royal life can also be impactful.

This challenge is daunting, but Meghan has shown resilience in navigating fame. So, where does that leave us? The story of Princess Charlotte versus Meghan Markle transcends rivalry; it’s about evolution. Both women are reshaping the narrative of what it means to be part of the royal family.

What are your thoughts on Princess Charlotte’s rise? Will her new role push Meghan Markle further into the background, or can both make their mark? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and don’t forget to stay tuned because, in the royal world, the story is never truly over.

Let’s explore why Princess Charlotte’s ascension is causing such a stir. It’s not merely about introducing a fresh face to the monarchy; it’s about survival. The British monarchy has faced numerous challenges, from political upheavals to family scandals. Today, maintaining relevance is more crucial than ever. King Charles understands this all too well—he’s witnessed how public perception can affect royal figures, such as Princess Diana or the controversies surrounding Prince Andrew.

Princess Charlotte, however, is different. She embodies youth, relatability, and an absence of scandal. Her presence signifies a new chapter for the royal family and could help bridge connections with younger generations. If the monarchy wants to maintain respect in the 21st century, royals like Charlotte are key.

The contrast with Meghan becomes clear: Meghan introduced a fresh perspective but faced controversy. In contrast, Charlotte represents the monarchy’s strength and resilience. As Princess Charlotte rises, Meghan Markle finds herself at a crossroads. It’s not just about staying relevant; it’s about defining her legacy.

Is she a trailblazer or a cautionary tale? The truth is, Meghan’s departure was always going to be polarizing. Some viewed it as a bold move, while others perceived it as abandoning duty for personal happiness. Now, with Charlotte poised to take on more prominent roles, Meghan’s challenge is formidable.

How can she remain relevant in an evolving institution? The next steps Meghan takes will be critical. Her philanthropic work, media projects, and activism could elevate her to global prominence, but she must avoid allowing comparisons to define her narrative.

As we observe the shifting dynamics between Meghan Markle and Princess Charlotte, public perception remains a key factor. Who is winning the popularity contest? We can’t overlook the impact of public opinion in royal matters. As the views of Meghan and Princess Charlotte shift, the landscape of the royal family continues to evolve in real time.

King Charles protester Lidia Thorpe facing calls to resign over ‘disgusting’ stunt

EXCLUSIVE: Australia’s Monarchist League want the senator who protested against King Charles on Monday to be removed from Parliament.

The Australian senator who disrupted King Charles’s landmark speech at Australia’s Parliament House is now facing calls to resign following the latest stunt which has been largely criticised worldwide.

Lidia Thorpe, who is the first Aboriginal senator for the state of Victoria and frequently campaigns on First Nations issues, shocked the world with her outburst on Monday during the second full day of engagements for King Charles and Queen Camilla.

The politician hurled verbal abuse at the King yelling “you are not my King” and accusing him of committing “genocide” against the country’s indigenous people. She was then swiftly escorted out of the chamber.

However, she hit back again shortly after when she reposted a grim cartoon online showing the King beheaded. Ms Thorpe sits as an independent in the upper house of the Australian parliament.

But now Australia’s monarchists have urged her to resign as they vowed to do all things “necessary” to kick her out of Parliament.

Philip Benwell, National Chairman of the Australian Monarchist League, blasted Ms Thorpe’s “disgusting” and “disgraceful” behaviour during the King’s tour.

He said that the association is now “investigating legal avenues” in order to have her removed from Parliament.

Mr Benwell told Express.co.uk: “I was actually standing close to Lidia Thorpe and was able to watch her every move.

“She is a person who openly declared, on taking her place in the Senate, that she would be faithful and bear true allegiance to the monarch. That she did so to be able to sit in the Senate is beside the point.

“The fact is that, for whatever reason, she declared her allegiance to King Charles and yet she has now screamed to the King in person “you are not my King.” She also shouted other things on being escorted out of the Great Hall, which included swear words and worse.

“This person should resign from the Senate immediately as she has no place in a democratic chamber which values discourse and decisions but not insults and possible threats.”

He added: “The Australian Monarchist League is investigating legal avenues that may be necessary to remove her from the Parliament.”

Mr Benwell claimed that there are “tens of thousands” of Australians who have come out to greet Their Majesties, however, their first royal tour in the country since Charles’s ascension to the throne will be overshadowed by Ms Thorpe’s latest stunt.

He said: “The Prime Minister and the leader of the opposition both gave extraordinary speeches and yet it will not be the crowds, nor the political figures and even not the King and Queen that will be remembered but the disgraceful and disgusting behaviour of Lidia Thorpe.”

King Charles appeared to stumble during a speech on the final day of his and Queen Camilla’s tour in Australia.

The King and Queen visited Parramatta Park on Tuesday under Sydney’s blistering sunshine for a taste of suburban life and joined locals for a barbecue.

Charles and Camilla were handed some tongs and gave the chefs a hand by flipping over some snags – Australian slang for sausages.

During the engagement, the monarch also delivered a four-minute speech – during which he appeared to stumble for a moment, and was heard saying over the microphone: “Hang on, I picked up two pages of this bloody thing.”

He then returned to his speech, and went on to say he was delighted to be at Parramatta today, commending it as an “excellent choice for a community barbecue.”

He added: “It is a particular delight to see and smell all the “top tucker” here today, from Western Sydney’s vibrant and diverse community.”

Moreover, he spoke of his joy as he was able to renew his long association with the Royal Agricultural Society of New South Wales, joking: “As we are happily rediscovering today, New South Wales farmers continue to produce truly outstanding food and wine.

“It is no wonder, I think, that Sydney is world famous for its cuisine, whether it’s smashed avo, a pav, or a Cab Sav and that is what I hope has been on display.”

He concluded his speech to much applause, with the royal couple then leaving to head to their next engagements.

Today concluded Charles’s first visit to Australia as monarch – a trip which has been stained by anti-monarchy protests.

Controversy overshadowed his speech at Australia’s Parliament House on Monday when Indigenous independent senator Lidia Thorpe yelled at the monarch that he was not her King and Australia was not his land.

On Wednesday, he is expected to travel to Samoa

Meghan Markle has been issued a scathing four-word remark by the former editor-in-chief of Vanity Fair, who slammed the Duchess for her poor judgement.

Tina Brown accused Meghan for “getting it all wrong” after previously calling her and Prince Harry’s exit from the Royal Family a “disaster” and accusing them of being “addicted to drama”.

During an appearance on The Ankler podcast with Janice Win, Brown went after the former working royal once again, saying she has the worst judgement “in the entire world”.

She said: “The trouble with Meghan is that she has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world. She’s flawless about getting it all wrong. All of her ideas are total crap, unfortunately.”

Brown, who was also Princess Diana’s biographer and author of The Palace Papers: Inside The House Of Windsor – The Truth And The Turmoil, claimed Prince Harry “blindly” goes along with all of Meghan’s ideas.

She added: “[Harry is] the lamb to the slaughter in this situation. And he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.”

In 2022, Brown called the Duke a “very impetuous man” and claimed many Palace advisors “always thought he would leave”.

She said: “He was so fragile, so combustible, he was so unhappy, frankly, in the constraints of the Royal Family.”

In her newly released Substack titled Fresh Hell, Brown said she would “unload my observations, rants, news obsessions, and human exchanges with the wildly eclectic cast of characters who populate my seething inbox”.

This comes as an expert claimed Meghan has a “weapon in her back pocket” for seeking “revenge” on the Royal Family in the future.

BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond said the Duchess has the option of an expose book. She told OK!: “It’s been more than two years since she gave that interview, and she has steered clear of controversy about the Royal Family since.

“Obviously, the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge. But she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series.

She added: “I think she is looking forwards, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I don’t think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir.”

Meghan Markle could be set to follow in her husband Prince Harry’s footsteps by releasing a tell-all memoir about her time in the Royal Family, according to a royal expert

Meghan Markle has a “weapon in her back pocket” that she could use for potential “revenge” against the Royal Family, according to an expert.

It has been over four years since she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior Royals, with both being vocal about their struggles within The Firm – highlighted by their bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview and a revealing Netflix series.

Subsequently, Prince Harry published his tell-all book ‘Spare’ last year, shedding light on tensions within the Royal Institution, particularly with King Charles and Prince William. Post-Netflix revelations, Meghan has kept mum regarding any further disclosures about the Royals.

Nonetheless, whispers of Meghan penning her personal memoir have surfaced, spurred by hints dropped in an interview from two years ago; Meghan alluded to maintaining a diary during her Royal role. Veteran former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond said that such a journal suggests an expose could be “in her back pocket.”

Jennie Bond told OK!: “It’s more than two years since she gave that interview, and she has steered clear of controversy about the Royal Family since.

“Obviously, the journal she mentioned will remain a potential weapon in her back pocket if she ever feels the need to seek some sort of revenge.

“But she has behaved with discretion and dignity ever since Oprah and the documentary series. I think she is looking forwards, not backwards and is moving on with her life. So I don’t think we should be raising false alarms about any potential memoir.”

Last year, Meghan opened up to The Cut about her Californian family life post-royal exit and her podcast Archetypes. She revealed that no NDA was required upon her departure from ‘the firm’ and recounted finding a journal at Frogmore Cottage, saying: “You go back, and you open drawers, and you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh. This is what I was writing in my journal there.”

Following Meghan’s disclosures, Sunday Times Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah expressed on True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat that some remarks were quite revealing.

Nikkhah observed: “The thinly veiled threats that came in [Meghan’s interview with The Cut] …I think [she] probably hopes it does [feel threatening] to the Royal Family… [But] I think there’s a lot of eye-rolling, going, ‘We’re used to this by now’… [But] that phrase, ‘I have a lot to say until I don’t’ and, ‘I’ve never signed anything that restricts me from talking’… there was a very strong inference there.”

She added, “And, of course, the reminder that she keeps a journal, and [her] revelation that, ‘when we came back to Windsor, to Frogmore Cottage for the Jubilee, I rediscovered my journal that I’d left there’ – I was astonished to discover that she had left a highly private diary behind in Windsor, rather than taking it back.

“She’s mentioned a couple of times in the last year or two that she kept a journal, and I think there is a very strong inference that Meghan could write her own memoir.”

Breaking News: Prince William, with tearful eyes, declared he will leave the royal family forever: revealed 3 main reasons.

It may seem like an eternity ago, but there was a time when Prince William and Prince Harry had plenty of reasons to bond.

“At one point, William hated the press more than Harry did,” author Omid Scobie told E! News in an exclusive interview discussing his new book Endgame, which looks at the brothers’ ongoing estrangement and a variety of other issues that threaten the future of the monarchy. “So for things to be at this point is not only sad, but it speaks to William as a leader, as heir to the throne.”

And not in a particularly good way.

Since the January publication of Harry’s memoir Spare, a continuation of the controversy that began with his explosive interview with Meghan Markle with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021 (which continues to haunt the royal family today), Scobie said, “there has yet to be a conversation of any value or substance with his own brother.”

E! News has attempted to reach out to Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace and Harry’s representatives for comment on Scobie’s report in the book but has not received a response.

William and Kate Middleton ignored Endgame-related questions from reporters on the red carpet at the Royal Variety Performance on Nov. 30. And while in Dubai to attend COP28, when asked how he was doing, King Charles III replied, “I’m doing very well, more or less,” joking that he was “recovering from the shock” of turning 75.

In Spare and in multiple interviews, Harry maintained that he essentially wrote the book not to expose the inner workings of the royal family, but to explain to his own father and brother (who consistently rebuffed his attempts to have those conversations) what he had been dealing with personally for years before he and Meghan moved in in 2020.

He wanted his family to be held to account,” Scobie said. “The ball has been in William’s court for 11 months. And how ridiculous, because this isn’t just about some random man’s brother. This is about the future king, the future head of the Church of England, who almost a year later still can’t at least sit down and have a conversation with his own blood.”
But taken in context, William’s response (or lack thereof) isn’t all that surprising (there was no official comment from any member of the royal family in response to Harry’s recollections of Spare, although there were plenty of reports that they weren’t happy about it).

Scobie said William’s character has a “duality.” “He’s a man who, as I said, once hated the press more than his brother and was always (and remains) extremely professional in his engagements, and a pleasure to be around. He was the one who recognized you [as a member of the press] and made you feel like a person rather than just an irritant at these events.”

William “also loved his normal life as an air ambulance pilot,” the veteran royal correspondent added, “which he clung to for so long, much to the chagrin of the institution.”

The Duke of Cambridge, William, announced in 2017 that he would be leaving the East Anglian Air Ambulance after two years. Kensington Palace said at the time that the heir was making the move because he and Kate were “keen to increase their official work on behalf of the Queen and the charities and causes they support.”

The couple, now the Prince and Princess of Wales, have worked as full-time royals ever since, though Kate has made it clear (with actions, if not as many words) that she is a mother to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, first and a future queen second.

While there were complaints behind the scenes that William wasn’t doing enough for the crown, his time as a pilot “was what made him,” Scobie said. “It made him a man to be admired because he didn’t have to do that. So to see him get to this point now, where family is not the priority for him, it’s all about his image, his reputation, at any cost, shows me that maybe he’s lost himself a little bit in the role or allowed the role to absorb him in the way these roles do.”
