A blockbuster trade proposal has the Kansas City Chiefs moving up in this year’s NFL Draft to select a new No. 1 wide receiver.

Despite issues at wide receiver all season long (drops, penalties and mediocre production) Patrick Mahomes and company saved their best for the playoffs.

The likes of Rashee Rice, Mecole Hardman and Marquez Valdes-Scantling came up with big-time plays and took some of the pressure off of Travis Kelce, and it culminated in a successful Super Bowl repeat.

That said, GM Brett Veach surely knows it’s imperative to upgrade the wide receiver depth if the Chiefs are to three-peat. And NFL.com’s Chad Reuter has Kansas City doing just that with a savvy draft move.

In his latest three-round mock draft, Reuter has the Chiefs acquiring the No. 25 pick from the Green Bay Packers in exchange for the No. 32 and No. 95 picks. With the pick, Reuter projects the Chiefs to select Florida State’s Keon Coleman:
“Selecting receiver Rashee Rice last year in the second round was a nice start, but the Chiefs’ inconsistency at the position could force them to trade up for another top-tier talent. They send their third-round selection, as well as a fifth-rounder, to Green Bay for this pick.”

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift forced him to make a drastic personal decision in his life.

 

Travis’ relationship with pop superstar Swift has made headlines since the pair went public when Swift turned up at Arrowhead Stadium to watch a Chiefs game.

Jason Kelce spoke candidly during a recent episode of Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast With Shaq about the “drawbacks” of dating Swift.

Travis Kelce recently moved into a new house in Kansas City, and his brother said that superfans wasted no time tracking down his new address.

“The first day he moved into the new house…a gated community, someone knocks on a window of the house,” Jason Kelce said.

It didn’t stop there, and Jason said safety concerns eventually forced his younger brother to “completely move out of the house.”

“People were just staying by his house,” Jason admitted.

The identities of these intruders weren’t revealed, so it’s not fair to say that they were all superfans of Swift. However, nothing like this was going on before the relationship.

The Philadelphia Eagles center also has other important things to think about as he has been with the Eagles since they drafted him in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, and there have been rumors he might hang up his cleats and ride off into retirement.
“Still figuring it out,” Kelce told O’Neal. “I think if I still want to play, I’m going to play. I think right now we’re not far enough away from the last game. It’s emotional, it’s a long season — the end of the season quite frankly, awful. So I’m just going to take some time, rest, recoup, and then figure it out.”

The Swifties are crossing the line when it comes to being a passionate fanbase … so says Travis Kelce‘s ex-girlfriend, who claims she’s been getting death threats from Taylor Swift supporters after speaking out about her past relationship with the Chiefs superstar.

Maya Benberry — who won the “Catching Kelce” reality show back in 2016 — has been sharing her dating experience with the All-Pro tight end following Swift’s appearance at the Chiefs game on Sunday … accusing TK of infidelity during their time together.

Benberry’s comments apparently set the Swifties off … ’cause she alleges she has been the target of serious hate, according to Inside Edition.

“Swifties are aggressive,” Benberry said. “Very negative, very hypocritical. It’s really crazy to me that someone that I think is positive and really nice has such a negative and angry fanbase.”

As for Swift, Benberry — who referred to Kelce as a “narcissist” — says she has no issue with the “Anti-Hero” singer … insisting she doesn’t care one bit if she ends up dating her ex — but pointing out, “I had him first.”

Benberry also addressed those close to Kelce claiming she’s looking for her “15 minutes of fame” … adamantly denying she’s clout chasing.

He was hit with a barrage of criticism after he was pictured at a ‘scaled down’ party following the mass shooting at the Chiefs celebration parade.

Kelce and Swift each donated $100,000 to victims of the shooting, which saw 22 people rushed to hospital with gunshot wounds.

Police confirmed half of those injured were children.

The donation only came after he took waves of criticism for partying and posing for a smiling selfie with a police officer in the wake of the deadly shooting.

He was seen beaming at Granfalloon Restaurant and Bar on Wednesday in a snap obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com alongside several teammates and their WAGs – including quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife wife Brittany.

Kelce was part of a small group at the sports bar which also included Chiefs punter Tommy Townsend, center Creed Humphrey, tight end Matt Bushman and his wife Emily.

Local DJ Lisa Lopez-Galvan was shot and killed in the incident which started as a ‘dispute’ between a group of two youths, according to investigators.

Two juveniles have been arrested and were charged on Friday in connection with the incident, but Missouri law means their hearing was held in private and no other details have been made public.

The pair appeared in Jackson County Family Court on gun-related charges as well as resisting arrest.

Authorities are expecting more charges against the teens which could see them tried as adults.

If they are charged with first degree murder they could receive the death penalty, according to Jackson County Court, so long as they were 16 at the time the offense was committed.

Nine children were injured during the incident, with Kelce donating the $100,000 through his charity, the Eighty-Seven & Running Foundation – an organization that aims to help ‘underserved youth strive to become productive citizens.’

The GoFundMe page was started by friends of the Reyes family, who had two young daughters wounded in the shooting.

It has already surpassed its $100,000 goal, as Swift donated to a fundraiser for Lisa, who was related to the two girls.

Mahomes and his wife Brittany visited the two sisters in hospital, with local media reporting that Travis also took the time to visit some of the injured children.

Kansas City Police and the FBI are looking for others who may have been involved and are calling for witnesses, victims, and people with cellphone video of the violence to call a dedicated hotline.

All the patients who were admitted to Children’s Mercy Hospital following the mass shooting have been discharged, with medics treating 12 patients.

In total at least 39 people were wounded with 23 suffering from gunshot injuries – including nine children.

The victims’ ages range between eight and 47, with the hospital confirming that the children should make a full recovery.

‘Thank you for your support and grace with our team members this past week,’, spokesperson Marlene Bentley said in a statement.

University Health said three shooting victims are still in the hospital’s care, with one remaining in critical condition while the other two are improving.

In total they treated eight patients with gunshot wounds and four with other injuries related to the rally.

The Guelph Wish Fund, an Ontario, Canada-based nonprofit, put the signed jersey up for auction along with a photo of the star tight end and another pic of the power couple.

The organization raises money for children under the age of 19 who are grappling with ‘significant illness, life-altering injury or a rare and debilitating syndrome,’ according to its website.

Twenty-five bids had been placed by the time the auction closed Sunday. The jersey fetched a whopping $21,000 CAD, around $15,574 USD – and came with a certificate of authenticity.

The sale came exactly one week after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Two juveniles whose names are being withheld by authorities were charged in connection to the shooting.

Over 20 people were injured while Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother of two and a disc jockey for a community radio station, was killed.

Swift contributed $100,000 to a GoFundMe campaign organized by the woman’s family.

Accompanying the donation was a note: ‘Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss.’

Taylor made a panicked phone call in the early hours of the morning last week to her boyfriend after she was left ‘shaken up’ by the horror shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs parade, just hours after she touched down in Australia.

The singer was on the phone to the tight end at around 6am Melbourne time last Friday, just minutes after gunfire broke out on the west side of Union Station at 1:48 pm local time on Wednesday.

She then called her new friend Brittany Mahomes, whose husband Patrick is Travis’ teammate, with the pair taking comfort in one another after the incident which claimed one life.

The source explained how Taylor was left ‘heartbroken’ to learn that one person had died as further information about the victims was released.

Lisa Lopez-Galvan, 44, was killed when two juvenile gunmen opened fire in the crowd during a ‘personal dispute’ that escalated. Twenty-one others were injured, including nine children. Three people were detained after the incident.

After selling his old home, Travis moved into a new $6million mansion in a gate community which boasts six bedrooms, six baths, and sprawls across 17,000 sq ft.

The property’s three acres of land feature scenic leafy gardens that shelter the home from view. The expansive grounds are complete with bridges, winding paths, a gazebo, patio and seating areas for lounging around the pool.

However, Jason went on to add that a crazed member of the public found a way into Travis’ new mansion and knocked on his window on the first day he moved in.

The Philadelphia Eagles veteran continued: ‘The first day he moved into his new house, a gated community, somebody knocks on the back window of the house.’

Jason added that he and his brother are still adjusting to the increased attention on them.

‘We’re still learning. I mean, so listen, we’ve always been big in the football world, Travis especially,’ he said.

‘Taylor World and the pop culture world, that’s a whole different level. You’re in a different, it’s just an added level of, it’s a new demographic that wasn’t there before.’
