Donna Kelce disclosed 3 awesome thing's Taylor Swift told her as they Team Up Again to Root for Travis Kelce at Chiefs vs. Bills Game in New York ' that's why i love her '

Taylor Swift and Donna Kelce are joining forces again to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs as the team takes on the Buffalo Bills Sunday.

Swift, 34, and Kelce, also 34, went public with their relationship in 2023 near the start of this NFL season, and since then the “Love Story” singer has regularly come to watch him play, sitting alongside his mother Donna, father Ed Kelce and other players’ family members and friends.

At Highmark Stadium on Jan. 21, Donna’s other son, Jason Kelce, and his wife Kylie Kelce showed up to support Travis, now that Jason’s Philadelphia Eagles were eliminated from the playoffs on Jan. 15.

Donna, who was named one of PEOPLE’s 25 Most Intriguing People of the Year in December, said it’s been surreal getting to know Swift.

“It’s been a ride. That’s for sure,” Donna, 71, said in November. “Sometimes I feel I’m on some kind of a different planet. I’m like, ‘What has my life become?‘ ”

The retired banking executive and grandmother of three “likes Taylor and thinks she’s very sweet and down to earth,” a source close to the family told PEOPLE last year.

Last week, Swift and Donna braved the sub-freezing temperatures to see Kelce help lead Kansas City past the Miami Dolphins with seven catches for 71 yards.

Kelce led the Chiefs’ receiving core throughout the regular season with 984 yards on 93 catches. But it wasn’t Kelce’s performance on the field that got fans talking this season, as his budding romance with Swift became the talk of the league.

Announcers, players and even coaches from around the league all weighed in on Swift and Kelce’s relationship throughout the season – so much so that the league began to receive pushback for showing Swift so many times on camera every time the Chiefs played, at times from Kelce himself.

Kelce admitted he had “never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them” during an interview with WSJ Magazine.

“But at the same time, I’m not running away from any of it,” he told the outlet. “The scrutiny she gets, how much she has a magnifying glass on her, every single day, paparazzi outside her house, outside every restaurant she goes to, after every flight she gets off, and she’s just living, enjoying life.”

The Chiefs tight end and his NFL brother, Jason Kelce, were on the cover of this week’s PEOPLE, and a source told the magazine that Kelce and Swift are “really happy and having a lot of fun together but they’re still seeing where it goes.”

For most parents, having a baby means experiencing disrupted nights and exhaustion. Many moms and dads will try anything to get their children to sleep, including singing, telling stories and playing music. And some parents swear that listening to Taylor Swift has an almost hypnotic effect on their children—and helps to send them off to sleep.

Rachael Shepard-Ohta, a mum of three from San Francisco, California, told Newsweek she first noticed it with her middle child

“It was right around the time the Folklore and Evermore albums came out when I was pregnant and postpartum with her,” she told Newsweek. “I am a huge Taylor fan, so I was listening to the music anyway, and realized it really worked with soothing her to sleep, especially when we were in the car—which she hated.”

She decided to share her discovery on Instagram and was inundated with messages from other parents, who said Swift helped their children to sleep too. “I ended up creating a playlist on Spotify and have tons and tons of testimonials from parents, saying it works like a charm,” she added.

Of course, as many parents will confirm, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to getting a baby to go to sleep. It takes trial and error—and a child can go from sleeping through the night to waking up every few hours for a number of reasons, from teething to general development.

However, a growing body of research supports the theory that babies benefit from listening to music as they enjoy it—although it depends on the type of music.

Research has shown that quiet, gentle music can bring down a newborn’s heart rate and soothe their stress. In part, this may be because listening to music triggers the release of endorphins—a hormone that promotes a sense of happiness and contentment. In fact, listening to music can also aid a baby’s cognitive development and language skills.

But why are some parents swearing by Taylor Swift for an easier bedtime?

Nicole Ratcliffe, a sleep specialist supporting parents who are struggling with sleep at Baby 2 Sleep, told Newsweek it may have more to do with the parents themselves.

“If the parent is feeling calm, less anxious or hopeful that the music works, this calmness may rub off on their baby,” she explains. “How we feel as parents has a lot to do with how our little ones settle. If we are feeling anxious and our breathing and heart rate are faster, this is what our little ones pick up.”

But if we’re listening to music we enjoy—whatever it might be—we may be more likely to feel calmer and happier, which likely influences how a baby feels.

Ratcliffe listened to All Too Well by Taylor Swift and said the 10-minute version had a relaxing, hypnotic feel.

“There appears to be a really nice low tone under the melody, which is a bit like white noise. The harmonies are nice and it doesn’t get too loud or heavy in the beat,” she said.

“That being said, I don’t think the baby is listening to it and thinking it’s a great song to fall asleep to. It could be that the parent is breathing more slowly and more rhythmically, which offers a nice stable and secure feel for the baby.”

Ratcliffe added that there likely isn’t a magic song that helps babies sleep—and if there is, it is yet to be discovered. In 2016, however, psychologists at Goldsmiths, University of London teamed up with singer-songwriter Imogen Heap to develop a mood-enhancing track for babies.

They surveyed 2,300 parents and found that the sounds most likely to make infants happy included sneezing (51 percent), animal noises (23 percent) and baby laughter (28 percent). The resulting track, The Happy Song, features all of these things—plus raspberries, rhythmic plosive sounds—like pa and ba—and a gentle, upbeat tempo.

So what else can help babies sleep? According to Ratcliffe, how you feel as a parent can play a big role. “A calm and confident parent is likely to have better results than a parent who is worried, questioning themselves and not sure what to do,” she said.

Howard Stern Has 1 Piece Of Advice For Travis Kelce About Taylor Swift

    Ah, romance.

Howard Stern seems to think Travis Kelce should view his relationship with Taylor Swift as a lucrative opportunity.

The radio legend brought up the couple while interviewing sports commentator Stephen A. Smith on Tuesday’s episode of his SiriusXM radio show. During their chat, Stern said that the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs “has” to do this one thing for his Grammy-winning girlfriend.

First of all, let’s say this,” Smith began. “He is a two-time Super Bowl champion. He’s on the verge of potentially being a three-time Super Bowl champion. [Kelce is] universally recognized as one of the greatest tight ends in the history of football. [He’s a] good-looking dude, got style, got flair, he’s got skill, he’s got a future in this business right here once he retires from football,” Smith said, referring to his own line of work.

He’s the total package, OK?” Smith concluded. “And he’s a really, really good dude.”

But Smith also admitted that Swift’s star power should not be undervalued. He told Stern that he never particularly cared for her music until he went to one of her Eras tour concerts in Los Angeles with his daughter.

Man, Howard, it was off the chain,” Smith told Stern. “I loved it. I couldn’t believe how much I loved it.”

Kelce, on the other hand, was a devoted Swiftie well before attending one of her concerts.

Last year, he told his brother during an episode of their “New Heights” podcast that he tried to connect with the “Cruel Summer” singer by giving her a friendship bracelet he’d made for her at one of her shows at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. But he was unsuccessful.

Before her son Jason Kelce told his teammates he was retiring from football, Donna Kelce reflected on what made the Philadelphia Eagles center so great.

She focused not on his status as a likely future Hall of Famer, but the heart he brought to the game – and how much his team’s city loves him.

“It’s exciting to see how Philadelphia has embraced him,” Donna Kelce, the mom of brothers Jason and Travis Kelce, said in an interview with TODAY.com before Jason announced his retirement. “Jason is a special individual, where, you know, somebody telling him he can’t do it is a fire that drives him.”

    Jason Kelce’s retirement
After the Philadelphia Eagles’ season-ending 32-9 playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Jan. 15, Jason Kelce told his teammates that he has decided to retire, the NFL confirmed.

Younger brother Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs who is dating Taylor Swift, is still in Super Bowl contention.

“I just am really, really thrilled that both cities really feel very attached to both Jason and Travis,” Donna Kelce says, reflecting on her sons’ NFL careers. “They’re very much larger-than-life human beings that attract really great people all around them. It’s really fun.”

When Travis and Jason Kelce fought …
Despite the headlines, the viral recipes and of course, pictures with Taylor Swift, Donna Kelce insists: She’s just a mom.

In a wide-ranging interview with TODAY.com, the woman known as “Mama Kelce” talked about what it was like raising two professional athletes who were “a handful” growing up.

Her secret for getting them to settle down and stop fighting back then? Just one word: “Dad!”

“That was it,” she tells TODAY.com. “Once they got to a certain size, I couldn’t do anything.”

The brothers have “always been close,” she says.

“If somebody said something bad about their brother, they would be the first to defend them,” she says.

But they also felt a sense of “sibling rivalry” growing up.

“There just is, you’re constantly fighting in the pecking order, and that’s just the way families are,” she says. “I think a lot of people try to stop that. But some of it’s kind of good because you get to understand how to relate to people.”

They stopped physically fighting when they were in high school.

“Once they were the same height and the same weight, it was done, because it was equal, and they were going to hurt each other,” she says. “There’s always one fight, and it’s the last one.”

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs won their first playoff game on Jan. 13, beating the Miami Dolphins 26-7. The next day, the Eagles were knocked out of the playoffs.

The series showed a clip of Swift looking angry during Koy’s unpopular monologue, and Sara Haines said the celebs in the room should “get a sense of humor.”

The View cohosts have come to the defense of Jo Koy, after the comedian’s Golden Globes hosting gig received scathing reactions from critics, viewers, and a seemingly very unhappy Taylor Swift in the ceremony’s live audience.

“These gigs, these hosting gigs are brutal. They’re just brutal. If you don’t know the room, if you’ve not been in these rooms before and you’re thrust out there, it’s hit or miss,” moderator Whoopi Goldberg — who previously hosted the Oscars several times — said, after the show screened a clip that showed Swift, seated inside the Beverly Hilton for the broadcast, reacting to a joke Koy made about her with a blank stare.

“I don’t know whether it was the room or the jokes, I didn’t get to see it, but I do know that he’s as good as it gets when it comes to stand-ups. It’s not an easy gig. If you read any of the reviews of some of the gigs that I’ve had, where they just wished me into the cornfields, die on the vine, it’s not an easy gig.”

Sara Haines then took aim at the stars’ reactions in the room.

“I love Jo Koy and the whole time I was nervous for him because I think he’s so funny. He’s kind, he’s good, all the things. What bothers me more in watching this is, get a sense of humor, because we need to protect these national treasures called our comedians, because life needs them,” she said. “We need to stop binding them in, fencing them in. In that room, Jo Koy is punching up. No one feels sorry. Just smile.”

Sunny Hostin turned to ask the show’s resident Swiftie, Alyssa Farah Griffin, how she felt about the singer-songwriter’s reaction, inquiring if Koy’s set — which saw him joke about Swift’s romance with Travis Kelce during a quip about NFL games having more cutaway shots to Swift than the Globes would — was “that bad” enough to warrant Swift looking “pissed” at the comedian.

“I think he’s such an inherently nice person that doing more of a roast is not natural for him,” Griffin responded. “Whereas [prior Globes host] Ricky Gervais will just go in and knock people over.”

Koy’s Golden Globes monologue drew intense criticism following the CBS ceremony, and Koy clearly picked up on the reaction from the crowd watching him in person.

“Some I wrote, some other people wrote,” Koy said mid-monologue after one of his jokes flopped. “Yo, I got the gig 10 days ago. You want a perfect monologue? Shut up! You’re kidding me, right? Slow down. I wrote some of these, and they’re the ones you’re laughing at.”

A PR expert has suggested that Taylor Swift could risk her entire career in 2024 if she gets involved with a very controversial affair.

It is fair to say that 2023 was one of Swift‘s best-ever years, given she sold out her Eras Tour, she topped Spotify’s Most Popular Artist of the Year chart, and TIME magazine named her its Person of the Year.

As well as those professional successes, she also ended up in what seems to be a very happy relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

PR specialist Lynn Carratt has spoken to The Mirror about what is coming up next for Taylor in 2024.

Taylor has gone into 2024 strong in her career and personal life. In February, Taylor heads on the next leg of her Eras tour and will visit Australia, Asia, Canada and Europe; there is a risk the distance and time spent apart could put pressure on her relationship with Travis as he will be back home in Kansas, but hopefully, they can weather the storm,” she said.

    Taylor Swift’s politics

The one problem facing Swift in 2024 is the US Presidential Election. Carratt believes that Swift could end up getting a lot more negative press if she is too outspoken in 2024.

“From watching her 2020 Miss Americana documentary, we know that Taylor has the ability to encourage 18-24-year-olds to register to vote; also in the documentary, she spoke about her reasons for breaking her political silence and is often vocal about standing up for things she believes in,” she said.

“In 2018, she endorsed two Democratic candidates in her adopted home state of Tennessee.

Taylor is a Democrat and could potentially save Joe Biden. Her cultural influence has the ability to shift political tides, and we have seen it in the past with the likes of Oprah Winfrey‘s endorsement of Barack Obama in 2007.”

She concluded her analysis by saying: “However, by becoming too involved in influencing US politics, sharing her political views and rallying against politicians, Taylor risks alienating fans, which could, in turn, have a negative impact on her career, and no one would want that to happen.”

Awkwardness might be in the air for Taylor Swift and boyfriend Travis Kelce – following reports of a rift between the pop star and Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes.

Since dating Kelce, Swift has appeared to strike up a tight friendship with former women’s soccer player Brittany, who tied the knot to quarterback Patrick last year, but now there are rumours that Bad Blood is brewing. It’s been claimed Brittany released information about her hangouts with Taylor, which left the singer far from impressed.

During an instalment of 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Zolak & Bertrand radio show, a caller named Jake dialled in and said he had the inside scoop that Swift would be attending the Chiefs’ game against the New England Patriots at the Gillette Stadium, in Massachusetts, on Sunday. “Let’s break some news. She’s coming Sunday. Done deal,” Jake claimed, before adding that he’d heard all was not well in the Swift/Mahomes camp: “One of the sources I have is saying she doesn’t want to be with Brittany Mahomes. I don’t know why.”

Celebrity gossip platform Deuxmoi shared the clip on their Instagram Story with the caption: “Local Boston sports talk radio also confirmed your Brittany Mahomes and t swift distancing.” They also included a screengrab of a message from one follower who in response to the question “What are you guys talking about this week?” – posed on December 12 – replied: “Rumour is Brittany Mahomes went to tabloids after hangouts with Tay – Tay is cooling it now.” At the time, Deuxmoi said: “We have not heard that.”

If true, it could make things rather tricky for close friends and colleagues Travis and Patrick. There didn’t seem to be a hint of drama, mind, when Swift enjoyed a pre-birthday celebration with her beau – who couldn’t make her actual party, to mark turning 34, due to footballing commitments – alongside Brittany, 28, and her hubby, where they partied until the early hours at a bar in Kansas City.

Brittany seemed to have scored a position in Swift’s ‘squad’ of friends, which includes Selena Gomez, Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid, after they were pictured grabbing dinner together in September. They’ve also been snapped hanging out at games and are even said to have a secret handshake.

Travis Kelce‘s sit down interview with the Wall Street Journal has raised some eyebrows, notably from the ladies of ABC’s flagship daytime talk show, The View.

In a recent episode, they brought up potential red flags in the Kansas City Chiefs star’s relationship with Taylor Swift, based on his quotes in the WSJ article.

The red flags in Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship

It all started with View co-host Sunny Hostin wondering what Kelce is hiding, after he gave the quote, “The biggest thing to me: Make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away.”

During the roundtable discussion, one of the other co-hosts Alyssa Farah Griffin raised a red flag from the other side of the relationship. She felt that Taylor Swift has moved on surprisingly quick from her last relationship with Joe Alwyn, which lasted seven years.

She went so far as to describe Kelce as a “palate cleanser” in a moment that sparked laughter from the set and the audience.

Finally, Sara Haines warned that his thoughts about retirement and moving on to a second act could also be considered a red flag.

Controversial host Joy Beharwho bashed Kelce for some of his old tweets last week, surprisingly did not mention any red flags, and actually offered praise for Travis for not being intimidated by Swift’s superstar status.

Will Travis Kelce see Taylor Swift for Thanksgiving?

The NFL star recently confirmed he plans to spend the holiday alone. With Taylor Swift still in South America for three shows in São Paulo, Brazil starting the day after Thanksgiving, a shared turkey dinner is off the table. Swift’s obligations to the Eras Tour also postponed the meeting of Swift and Kelce’s parents at the Chiefs Monday Night Football game this week.

While Swift focuses on her career, Kelce can focus on his. Kansas City travels to Las Vegas for an important AFC West divisional game against the Raiders this weekend, hoping to bounce back from their blown halftime lead against Jason’s Eagles on Monday.
