When it comes to Taylor Swift, everyone has an opinion. However billionaire hedge fund manager Ray Dalio recently made a bold declaration about the pop superstar—and plenty of folks agree.

On Thursday, March7, Dalio took to Instagram to post a selfie from one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in Singapore.

“@taylorswift for President!” he captioned the picture. “I just saw her at her concert in Singapore and realized that she can bring together Americans and people in most countries much better than either of the candidates, and that bringing people together is the most important thing.”

Dalio continued: “Watching this concert with people from all over the world made me and them feel good and connected and reminded me how powerful that universal culture is. Wouldn’t it be great if we had two candidates who could lead that culture and make smart leadership decisions too?”

The NFL stars’ grandfathers both had rich and varied lives

JASON Kelce brought the NFL world to tears with his hugely emotional retirement speech last week.

And one of the Philadelphia Eagles star’s most moving lines came when the NFL icon said that he and his brother Travis come from “a small family.”

“No cousins, one aunt, one uncle – it was really my brother and I our whole lives,” Jason said.

“We did almost everything together: competed, fought, laughed, cried, and learned from each other.”

The Kelce clan, led by mom Donna and dad Ed, is certainly small in number.

But it is full of an interesting cast of characters who have embraced fame, fortune – and pop megastar Taylor Swift.

Here is a look at the extended family clan from a “narcissist” grandfather who was arrested on industrial espionage charges, to another granddad who was given a Purple Heart for his services in World War II.

DONALD BLALOCK (MATERNAL GRANDFATHER)

The most interesting member of the Kelce family is arguably Donna’s father Donald Blalock.

A football star at Ohio University, he was once arrested – but never charged – on a count of industrial espionage.

Donald also used the alias Bob Steele, had several wives and named two of his children after himself.

He even left one family in Ohio to start another in South Dakota.

“He cheated on just about every wife he had,” Jason told the Washington Post.

“I think he had five of them, so he had plenty of opportunities.”

Donald worked for 20 years for an equipment manufacturing company, including many years in the Soviet Union during the Cold War.

While overseas, he met and married a Russian woman – one of his many wives.

Donald decided to go out on his own and started his own company.

But he was accused of stealing blueprints to make parts and sell them at a reduced rate.

On December 8, 1981, sheriffs raided Blalock’s condo in Ohio and served him with an arrest warrant.

Donald eventually pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor offense of receiving stolen property valued at less than $150.

“He was not the best grandfather,” Jason said.

“He wasn’t the best dad. His own uncle for a long time didn’t talk to him.

“But he was a great grandfather at the perfect moment.”

That moment came when Donald gave Jason huge inspiration on his path to becoming a professional football player by giving him a card with a quote attributed to US president Calvin Coolidge.

It read, “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.

“Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.

“Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On!’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

Jason carried the card in his wallet for many years before he lost it in college.

“That quote really hit me in the face. It’s not over until you say it’s over,” he said.

“A lot of times, the people who end up making it are the people who just stick with it and have the perseverance to make it through adversity.”

Donald, who also had a son named Jason, died in 2018 at 87.

UNCLE DON

Don Blalock is the brother of the Kelces’ mom Donna and the son of Donald Blalock.

Donna accused her dad of being a “narcissist” for naming two of his children after himself.

“He named me Donna and he named his son Don so he’s got both his kids named after him, so there you go,” Donna said on an episode of New Heights.

Don was a football player himself, having played defensive tackle for Purdue in 1976-77.

He graduated with two degrees from Purdue, before going on to have a lengthy career in IT.

Don is now freelance geographic information systems analyst based in Palm Beach, Florida, per his LinkedIn profile.

Travis has posted a number of photos in recent years hanging out with his uncle.

“Eatin’ good with my uncle! Never a dull moment when I’m with family!” he said in 2015.

WILLIS KELCE (PATERNAL GRANDFATHER)

Jason and Travis come from a military family, with their paternal grandfather Willis Kelce a decorated soldier in World War II.

Willis, who was known as Bill, won a Purple Heart for his efforts in the War – including being shot down three times in a plane.

“[Willis] was on the planes – some of the bombers and everything – that were overseas,” Jason recalled on New Heights.

“His plane was shot down three times. That’s right ladies and gentlemen, his plane was shot down three times.

“The first time it was shot down, he jumped out of the plane with the rest of his crew and they parachuted to safety.

“The second time it got shot down, he refused to jump and was so terrified of jumping out of the plane again that one of his crew-members had to grab him and throw him out of the plane.”

The third time his plane was shot, Willis decided to go down with the plane.

“Somehow they landed that sucker. If that’s not a Kelce move, I don’t know what is,” Jason added.

Such was the resemblance between baby Travis and Willis that dad Ed recalled that “Mom would refer to Travis as ‘Little Bill’.”

Jason then asked his dad, “Did [grandpa] get the Purple Heart in the plane or jumping out?”

Ed laughed and responded, “He got the Purple Heart for getting shot in the a**.

“I think he got it in the plane. He also got shot in the arm. I don’t know if he got a second Purple Heart out of it.

“I’ve got the medal. There may be two, but one may be Uncle Ed’s.”

Willis died in 1975 agt 55, many years before Jason and Travis were born.

AUNT JUDY

Little is known about Aunt Judy, who is the sister of the Kelces’ dad Ed.

But Jason revealed that she would be his “dream guest” for his popular podcast New Heights.

Jason was asked by NBC Sports who his top-choice guest would be.

“I can’t say Taylor Swift. Come on, it’s too obvious. Travis would kill me,” Jason said.

He paused for a while before adding, ‘I’ll go my Aunt Judy, we’ve got to get my Aunt Judy on the podcast!’

When the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl 54 in 2020, Travis took time to thank his aunt.

“Aunt Judy, I love you, girl!” he said.

Throughout the NFL, fans watched as both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appeared to take over the sport with their budding romance. Sharing their love for each other, Swift proved herself to be a proud supporter of Kelce as she attended numerous games while she helmed her Eras Tour. While being one of the biggest stars in the world, Swift continuously supported Kelce as he helped the Kansas City Chiefs make it back to the Super Bowl. And marking her first year as an NFL fan, the singer watched as Kelce and the Chiefs won. But now, with the NFL season over, Kelce is the one traveling around the world, supporting Swift. And apparently, her music brings out a softer side of the tight end.

Since February, Kelce has been on somewhat of an international tour as he traveled to Australia to watch Swift perform in Sydney. After the concert, he then traveled to Asia to attend her concerts at the National Stadium in Singapore. With thousands of fans in attendance, many watched as Kelce danced along to the songs, but during one portion of the concert, a video showed him wiping away what appeared to be tears.

While some fans insinuated that Kelce was simply wiping sweat from his face, numerous comments on the video pointed to Kelce being in his feelings.

“One user on X questioned, “Was he crying?” Another fan wrote “Travis emotional,” followed by a crying emoji.

On a recent episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce discussed his relationship with Swift and the constant pressure that surrounded them. Since their relationship went public, the couple has dealt with rumors of engagement, breakups, and more. With Swift accustomed to the lights and cameras of stardom, Kelce seemed shocked by how far the press was willing to go. When attending the Sydney Zoo, he said, “There were full-on helicopters just flying around. They helicoptered us. Well, not us — Taylor. This is all because Taylor is the biggest and the best thing possible.”

While dealing with rumors and cameras, Kelce admitted that he enjoyed his time at the zoo with Swift. And his favorite part seemed to involve the lion exhibit. He told his brother, Jason Kelce, “When you hear [them roar], cause Taylor took the picture … you’re just like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ Let alone one, you see three of them run down from their rock, their perch, knowing they’re about to get fed. You see how fast and agile that thing is — dude it’s over.”

With Kelce traveling the world with Swift, the couple appear happier than ever as their romance continues to grow.

People report that the couple jetted back from Singapore just in time to enjoy the festivities, with Taylor now set to enjoy a two-month break before she undergoes the mammoth European leg of the tour.

They headed to Gucci’s ‘The Party’ on Sunday night, which was held at talent manager Guy Oseary’s Los Angeles home.

It was reported that among the fellow attendees were Best Actor winner Cillian Murphy, Billie Eilish, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, and more.

Kelce is still reveling in the success of his own season, having won the Super Bowl in Las Vegas last month.

Just hours after Kelce was spotted out for lunch in LA, he and brother Jason scooped the Podcast of the Year award at the iHeart Radio awards.

Despite not being in Austin, Texas to personally pick up the trophy, the NFL brothers recorded a message for the audience.

In it, Travis joked: ‘Get the f*** outta here… people actually listen to this?’

Jason then went on to thank Taylor Swift‘s fans for voting for them to win.

‘To receive an award like this is beyond humbling, and we would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all the 92 percenters, AKA Swifties, for voting for us.’

Earlier in the night, the Kelce brothers had also won Best Overall Ensemble, but had missed out on Best Sports Podcast to Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay.

 

 

Taylor Swift became a part of the Kansas City Chiefs’ narrative for their Super Bowl LVIII run the moment she started dating Travis Kelce.

According to US Weekly, Donna Kelce has grown extremely close to Taylor Swift.“Both of their families love them as a couple and Taylor has become even more close with Travis’ mom, [Donna],” a source told Us Weekly. “Taylor has really been integrated into the family.”The source continued: “They have fully embraced her. It’s a whole new world and chapter for her.”Donna Kelce has previously opened up about what it’s been like to have her son dating Taylor Swift.“I feel like I’m in an alternate universe because it’s something I’ve never been involved with before,” she joked earlier this season.

For a guy like Travis who values his mom, he must be loving the fact that Taylor managed to effortlessly win his mom over.

 

The New Heights host made it clear over the years how much his family means to him, so for his girlfriend to have won over his family so easily would make her even more lovable to him.

It’s also evident that Swift’s presence during some of the Kansas City Chiefs’ most important games gave Kelce the boost he needed to win the Super Bowl. Throughout the 2023 season, the 34-year-old caught 93 passes for 984 yards and five touchdowns.

“Fun times in Singapore,” Travis told his brother Jason Kelce on the March 13 episode of their New Heights podcast. “I got to check out the world’s largest greenhouse. How about that? I’m a big plant guy. Loved seeing f–king enormous trees. It was cool as f–k, they had the world’s biggest waterfall in a greenhouse, too.”

Not one to beat around the bush, the 34-year-old added of the experience, “It was awesome man. Everything was blooming at the same time, it was so f–king unique and so nice.”

And of course, Travis reserved a few words for Taylor herself.

“I got to see two amazing shows of the Eras Tour,” he added. “The last of the leg that Taylor has until she’s back at it here in a couple months. Yeah outside of that, got to eat some lovely Singapore food and just catch the views. Everything over there just seems so nice.”

At Taylor’s March 8 show, eagle-eyed fans spotted a sweet moment which saw the “Anti-Hero” singer and Travis share a kiss in the wings of Singapore’s National Stadium.

But soon enough, the pair once again kicked off yet another trip as they headed back to Los Angeles to make a special Oscars appearance. Though not at the March 10 ceremony itself, the couple attended Madonna and Guy Oseary‘s after-party, held at the talent manager’s Hollywood Hills home.

The Grammy winner and NFL star were joined by other celeb attendees such as Jennifer Lawrence, Lily Gladstone, Miles Teller, Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum.

Despite the potential tedium of back and forth trips across the globe, it should come as no surprise that both Taylor and Travis have flown to support the other, whether it’s been at the 2024 Super Bowl or one of the many Eras Tour concerts. After all, Taylor herself has noted how supporting the other is a cornerstone of their relationship.

“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Taylor told TIME in her December cover story. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

July 2023: So, Make the Friendship Bracelets

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s love story began in July 2023, when the singer’s Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it. However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.

“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings,” Travis shared on the July 26 episode of his New Heights podcast. “So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as “metal as hell”—Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

“I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court,” he shared on The Pat McAfee Show. “I told her, you know, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So, we’ll see what happens in the near future.”

August 2023: Enchanted to Meet You

Travis was rocking a mustache—which he debuted in August during training camp—when he was first introduced to Taylor.

As he later noted of the era, “That ‘stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit, and I had it when I met Taylor for the first time.”

Jason Kelce fans aren’t taking his retirement news lightly, as one created an emotional montage set to a Taylor Swift song dedicated to highlighting some of the most memorable moments of his career and personal life.

The video, which was first shared by a fan account on TikTok and later reposted on Reddit, featured various throwback photos of the former Philadelphia Eagles center with wife Kylie Kelce and the couple’s daughters, as well as more candid captures of the 36-year-old NFL star greeting fans, and of course, images of Jason on the field in his jersey.

 

The tear-jerking clip was uploaded alongside Swift’s hit “Long Live” from her 2010 album Speak Now. It also included the sweet caption: “Thank you Jason Kelce, congrats on your amazing career.”

 

Swifties–as well as 92 percenters–became overwhelmed with emotion in the comments.

“Decided to listen to ‘Picture To Burn’ one time in 2006 and now I’m crying over the hardest Jason Kelce edit I’ve ever seen to ‘Long Live,’” one fan wrote, referencing the pipeline of football fans that came for the pop star after she started dating Jason’s brother Travis Kelce, but stayed because they genuinely enjoy watching the Kelce family from the sidelines.

“Crying over his retirement is the most canon experience as a swiftie. Like for what? But here I am,” another quipped.

“Im so glad Taylor introduce us to this amazing family,” a third shared. “We love Jason!!!”

“Y’all these edits 😢 I can’t cry all day long,” another TikToker admitted.

The love wasn’t inclusive to one platform, as Redditors also celebrated the montage–which was shared alongside the caption “Long live Jason”–and Kelce’s career.

“As a Swiftie and life long die hard Eagles fan. I will keep thanking my fellow Swifties for embracing Jason, Kylie and the girls and loving them the way I have for years,” one gratefully exclaimed.

“As a Swiftie who has learned about the Kelce Brothers over the past few months, I never thought I’d cry over a football retirement. As a teacher, Jason Kelce’s influence on and off the field is seen in my classroom,” a second Redditor wrote in part.

“im not cryin, its just rainin,” a third joked.

Since announcing his retirement last week, Jason hasn’t officially confirmed what his next full-time role will be. But he has received a few enticing job offers, including one from the History Channel.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, traveled abroad last week to support his girlfriend Taylor Swift 34, during her Eras Tour stop. Speaking on Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, Travis shared details about his trip.

“I got to see two amazing shows of the Eras tour,” Travis shared with his brother, Jason, 36. “The last of the leg that Taylor has until she’s back at it here in a couple of months. But yeah outside of that, got to get some lovely Singapore food and just catch the views.”

Travis also detailed his trip to the “world’s largest greenhouse,” adding that he’s “a big plant guy.”

“I got to check out the world’s largest greenhouse. How about that?” Travis said. “It was cool as f—. They had the world’s, like, biggest waterfall in a greenhouse too. It was awesome, man. The way the whole thing was laid out.”

He continued, “It was a very controlled space and everything was, like, blooming at the same time.”

“It was so f—ing unique and so nice. It was hot as f— in Singapore,” Travis added. “’Cause it was the slap dab middle of summer over there, so it’s 100 degrees outside and then you got to go into this chilly, like, 70-degree room where they’re just pumping AC into these plants.”

“It was so lovely to go in there just hang on that thing and see all the amazing plants,” he said.

Jason then asked Travis if Singapore looked as amazing and futuristic as it did in tourist pictures, to which Travis replied that it looked “exactly” like how it was advertised.

“The architecture’s crazy,” he revealed. “They have that one hotel, the Marina Bay Sands or something like that, where it looks like a boat is on top of three pillars … and then everything around that kind of hotel is really, really nice.”

Travis’ comments come after he attended Gucci’s official Oscars afterparty with Swift on Sunday. A source told PEOPLE that the couple appeared to be in great spirits with Travis being “protective of her.”

The nine-time Pro Bowler attended three of Taylor’s sold-out shows in both countries this month and in February. He returned to the U.S. in between the two destinations to party in Las Vegas with quarterback and close pal Patrick Mahomes.

Swift, herself, is now on a two-month break before the demanding obligations of her tour take her to Europe, where she will perform for the total duration of four months, starting in Paris and ending at London’s Wembley Stadium in August.

But, for now, one of America’s wealthiest and most influential couples are making sure to rest up, and it is understood that they have decided to take refuge at Swift’s swanky, $25M estate in the City of Angels.

She bought the seven-bedroom, 10-bathroom home, known as the ‘Samuel Goldwyn Estate’ back in 2015, before renovating it. It’s estimated price, nowadays, has gone up to $31.6M.

Property-specific amenities include a swimming pool, tennis court, library and movie theatre across two acres of land.

Last week, before reuniting with potentially future husband in California, Swift urged her fans in the U.S. to vote in Super Tuesday elections.

The 14-time Grammy award winner, whose ongoing ‘Eras’ tour is the world’s highest-grossing concert tour with more than $1billion in ticket sales, told her 282M followers on Instagram to make a ‘voting plan’, linking to vote.org, a nonprofit voter registration group.

‘I wanted to remind you guys to vote the people who most represent YOU into power,’ she wrote on Instagram Stories, in white text against a black backdrop.

Swift has waded into politics before, endorsing President Joe Biden, a Democrat, in 2020. She has also denounced former President Donald Trump, a Republican.

During an appearance on NBC’s ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers’ last week, Biden joked with the host comedian about conspiracy theories that the president and the singer-songwriter are in ‘cahoots.’

Meyers said recent polling showed 18 percent of Americans believed Biden and Swift were somehow working together.
